This is my first time listening to Wilco, and before this I always wondered if I was missing out on something. It turns out I was not. This album gives big "my parents just dont get me" vibes. The only reason it's not a 1 is bc of "Jesus, etc" and the album cover.
Faded into the background a bit
What a boring album again! The songs become very repetitive and uninteresting by the first minute and, honestly, there is nothing that can be a little interesting in here. The songs feel like copies of other artists with that indie touch (which seems to be the synonym of music for boring people who like a little of acoustic and repetitiveness to call good music, nothing very challenging or "loud", for sure). But I can't get what can be considered good here. It's just a pastiche of different sounds and instruments with no real sense but to sound "more interesting". Well, some songs aren't that bad, some instrumentals are beautiful, but Jeff Tweedy... well, his voice is many times annoying, actually. The rest, very monotonous, which means, again, boring. And it doesn't get better.
This album was so lauded upon release that I fell for the hype and bought it without hearing a single note of it. Almost immediate regret as I listened to opener "I am Trying to Break Your Heart" Was this meta-commentary about breaking my heart by spending money on such a lethargic boring record? And I tried with this record I really did. Second song is okay right? "Heavy Metal Drummer" is slightly amusing right? I shouldn't regret this purchase right? Even listening to this today decades later I remember these songs. So I know I didn't just spin it once and move on. I tried again with the secret hope that with age and wisdom I could appreciate it. Or find something anything to cling to. But I can't. I just can't. This album bores me. And because it's hype I feel extra mad at it for being so boring.

The instrumental parts are good Not great, not outstanding, but good. The singer? Who told this guy he could sing? His voice is weak, lazy, off key, and unlistenable. 3 for the instruments. 0 for the singing. 1.5 rounded to a generous Boxing day 2

I've never understood the fascination critics have with the boring music of Wilco. Saw them open for REM not long after this release and was less than impressed, right along with the rest of the crowd. His voice is so average and forgettable. 7 minute opening song (with Charlie Brown piano work) that keeps the same pace from start to finish and descends into a static-y mess is not the way to set the table and make a listener want to continue. It's like 11 scoops of vanilla that you need to eat in one sitting, can't you give me a little chocolate or maybe some mint, anything to change things up?! Decent listener counts with every song having at least 4M listens or more. "Jesus, Etc" has 134M listens, respectable, especially for such a dull song. Funny they have a song called "Heavy Metal Drummer" (35M) as they are anything but. "Ashes Of American Flags" (7M) made me want to jump overboard. I don't get them, they continue the melody no matter what and never deviate. "I'm The Man Who Loves You" (10M) was the only song I thought had any draw. I was underwhelmed, and I see no reason to have listened to this before I die. Dreary. Weak boring vocal delivery. Repetitive songs. 2 stars.
I thought Being There was a decent album, but Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is mostly a snooze. Very well produced, and some of the musical choices are interesting, but the vibe is very contemplative and introspective, and I don't need that in my music! I have a child-brain and it wants to be stimulated with excitement!

Absolutely forgettable.
First half of the album was a real chore to listen to, very average songs with nothing to distinguish themselves. Fortunately it picked up about halfway through and it was a lot better after that. Still, its all relative - I wouldn't care to listen to this album again. Not that it's bad, just that it sank into the sea of mediocrity.
Not as compelling as I thought this would be... I think they made a bigger impact with later albums.

It’s good. I listened. It’s a mid2000s rock record. Probably a good show. Maybe you leave early. I didn’t skip all the tracks. But I also didn’t listen closely to all of them. “ I know Wilco” Is what I’ll say at parties. But I couldn’t name a track. Ever.
I guess it'd put me to sleep
After listening to Radiohead, this album was more enjoyable…barely. Jesus, etc. was my favorite, followed by Pot Kettle Black. Obviously I prefer their more “upbeat” songs. Even added those two to my library.

Listening to this, I felt like it hovered between two and three stars. Sometimes the beeps and boops were annoying, sometimes they were all that kept me going. It hit a good spot halfway through, but then dragged a bit towards the end. I feel that this is truly a 2.5 star album, but I'm rounding down, as I rounded up the last Wilko album I had.

Lite gulligt, men väldigt gnälligt album. Blä. 1,5 rundat upp.
Didn't like this one as much as their previous album I had (Being There). It had a few decent songs and a few duds. There's way too much random noise in the tracks, seems like they're just trying add it to be "artsy" or whatever, but it just sounds noisy. Kamera was pretty nice, as was War On War. Jesus, Etc. and Heavy Metal Drummer were pretty good, chill vibes. Poor Places gets back to what I was hearing in the previous album, where they get a slightly country sound (I'm ignoring the ending where they have someone just repeating "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot" over and over with an annoying loud screech in the background). The album as a whole doesn't show it as much as the previous one, but I still think they'd be better as a country band. Best song: Kamera

Well I listened to it, not a bad album, I didn't like the "warbling", but that could just be due to it being a sign that something isn't right when setting up audio circuits.

I tried, Pat. But there’s something about Wilco I’ve never been able to connect with. Partly I think there’s a gap between what I’m looking for and what they are actually trying to do. Because he has a folksy delivery and vaguely folksy style, I keep thinking the lyrics are going to be direct and confessional. But tweedy is impressionistic in a way that makes what he is saying hard to follow, the images rarely make sense, so I find myself unable to grab hold of whatever he’s going for, and it’s more frustrating than interesting. The chorus of Jesus etc for example. Sounds like he’s saying something sincere, with this wounded honesty tone, but wtf is ‘voices shake singing sad songs tuned to chords strum down your cheeks bitter Melodie’s turning your orbit around.’ There are like three metaphors in there that don’t make sense with each other. I find myself fixating on that rather than the music. Maybe because the music isn’t that interesting. So maybe it’s that. But actually I think it’s just a difference in vibes. Sean and I went to see Wilco a few years ago and tweedy seemed really annoyed by someone in the front row talking during a song and then he made fun of the guy because he was drinking a bud light, with the implication being he is low brow and should have been drinking an IPA. And I just thought, this guy is not my kind of guy.
I’ve tried so many times to like Wilco. I like the idea of them for some reason. But I really don’t like this music, and this is supposed to be their best album I think? A lot of it feels intentionally shitty. Maybe I just can’t get over the lead singer’s voice. This really doesn’t do it for me

listening to this made me think a lot about being a teenage girl in the 00s and all the very serious indie boys i used to hang out with and the serious music conversations we used to have and all the very serious reading of music magazines that i used to do. i think a big part of my growing up involved realising that it's actually ok to like pop music and also a lot of those boys were extremely annoying! there were parts of this album that almost became interesting, but didn't.

Ugh. All I’ve ever heard is effusive praise for the band Wilco and the album Yankee Hotel Foxtrot and at least through the first 3 songs of the album, I wondered if I was taking crazy pills. I have never been more disappointed in an album on the 1,001 list thus far. I was excited about hearing this album because of all the accolades and praise it's gotten since it came out. Then I finally hear it, and it was just a lot of noise and a depressed dude throwing his lamentations out into the ether. Am I just not getting it? By track 4, War on War, it at least sounded kind of like what I know a song might sound like, but it had a machine making weird noises throughout, so it kind of was a good song mixed with nails on a chalkboard. I’m legit shook. What have people been talking about all these years? I thought Wilco was kind of a country/rock indie band. They sound more like a Japanese noise rock band to me. Track 5 is Jesus Etc. and it sounds great. What happened in the first 4 songs? Just start the album here and let’s have a good time. Oh, I see it’s being described as art rock in Wikipedia, which means people who think they’re smart will talk about how much they like the album while regular lunkheads like me will be like, “No, it’s crap.” Why am I so angry? It’s almost funny how angry I am at this moment. I can see now why their record label at the time didn’t want to release the album. But, Wilco bought back the album and changed labels, put it out, and the album, according to wikipedia, “is widely regarded as one of the greatest albums of the 2000s and of all time.” As we go further into the album, it sounds less like a group of children trying to learn music on the fly and instead, there are actual songs here. I think if they’d spread out the experimental crap throughout the album, it might have been better. You know the old adage, a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down? This was like a spoonful of crap will make the medicine taste like crap. The rest of the album was alright, if not depressing. However, the first four songs really infuriated me. I attempted to listen to the album again last night, but football was on and even a crappy, and I mean crappy, NFL game was still better than this album. If this is your favorite album, don’t pay any attention to what I’ve said, because maybe I’m an idiot. I can see why it’s on the 1,001 albums to hear before you die list, just to find out what all the praise and love for this album was all about. If you find out, let me know.
This should have been a lay up. This is my music. It wasn’t and it’s not. Boring as hell. Uninspired. Glad it’s over. 2/5

I love indie electronica but this one didn't do it for me.
I worked with a guy that loved them. He was a nice enough guy but had shit taste in music. This album is boring. Seriously his voice is the same for every song. It's downbeat musically. So it's like, "Yes this is music."

Couple of good songs but gets a bit monotonous.
Their fourth album. Indie Rock. On the one hand I like the quirky instrumentation. However, on the other hand the album's pacing and the tone of the vocals are so dour it leads to being Bravo. Oscar. Romeo. Echo. Delta.

The biggest lesson I'm learning from this project is that I seem to really dislike the sound of acoustic guitars.
I listened to the Expanded Edition of this project. I liked "War on War (2022 Remaster)" and "I'm the Man Who Loves You (2022 Remaster)," but I have to agree with the other reviews on here; so much of this dragged on and I felt like I was waiting for it to be over the entirety of the project. Seems to be artsy for artsy's sake without actually being an enjoyable project to listen to.
I've never given Wilco a go. Not sure why. I was certain that I'd like them but something held me back. This album has not convinced me. The songs aren't memorable. The performances are all decent, but it doesn't speak to me. I don't like the noisy ending to a few songs - it doesn't have the effect it thinks it does.
I don't understand the whole fuss about this record. Never heard a single track of this, or if I have, I've totally forgotten about it. Why? I just listened to this record, and I can't remember any details other than that the singer's voice was slightly annoying.

So. Boring. The only guy I knew that liked this band refused to take his shirt off while pleasuring his wife and they eventually divorced. Make of that what you will.
Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is many things, except straightforward. I Am Trying To Break Your heart is disorienting but melodic. Kamera was likely interesting at the time but sounds as standard indie fare nowadays. Radio Cure ironically reminds the listener of something Radiohead would produce. Jesus Etc, the album's best known song, manages to be dreamy but earthy. Ashes of American Flags was surely poignant in the direct aftermath of 9/11. Heavy Metal Drummer is fine. I'm the Man Who Loves You might be the albums hidden gem, emotive but laidback. Pot Kettle Back might be the least memorable one. So boring that Poor Places and Reservations melted together. This is an album you can listen to in the background, but it doesn't stick.

Nothing particularly engaging about this at all for me, I'm afraid.
When the tempo picks up a bit in the last half of the album, I'm more on board, but the opening half felt a bit drab. It seems to be doing roughly what The Shins do, but with less spirit and enjoyment.

Music of this type really needs a dynamic, engaging, and dare I say it, singer with real talent. Tweedy should hire a front man or woman with a great voice. He is dragging this whole production down. I'm not terribly into the music as I prefer my weird with a little more edge and imagination. Bleep-bloops and feedback don't make songs more interesting. But the lead vocals are so bland and it's the thing I hate most here. Album art is very cool. Recognize those towers anywhere.

I've heard "Jesus, Etc." before. I liked it. The overall feel of the album is soft, synthy, padded percussion. It's not memorable for me but it was good background music while I was working.

Love Wilco as a general rule, but this odd album I’m no fan. No flow, no rhythm, and a whole lot of oddity. Of course the critics say “masterpiece!” Weirdos.
I enjoyed this album, it definitely gave a London kinda vibe. That in mind, its not really for me, serving as more of background noise then anything.

Went into it with high hopes, despite not enjoying the last Wilco record on here. There's some fun noises and creativity but couldn't really get into any of the songs.

This album is like putting on your most weathered op-shop skinny jeans, a tight-fitting threadbare white t-shirt and your most rustic woollen sweater vest to go out to a log cabin in the forest to get away from the corporate drones for a weekend. The only problem is your fixed-gear bicycle isn’t suitable for the gravel road, so you have to hitchhike. Nobody wants to pick you up cos you have the look of a person who uses “natural” deodorant, so you are just standing around waiting on the side of the road on a hot afternoon for about 6 hours.

They say don't judge an album by its cover. I looked at this album and thought 'gee, this looks like a boring slow indie acoustic waffle'. Yeah, so it turns out you should judge an album by its cover sometimes. The good reviews of this album genuinely make me wonder what I'm missing though. It all sounds sooo same same to me, how was it so highly rated at the time?

"I'm The Man Who Loves You" was interesting, with a unique guitar part. If only the rest of the album was. I'm starting to think "indie" is a label that just means the music isn't very good.

Annoying 2*, here, because there are little flashes of cool here. Reservations, and that american flag on were pretty cool, but that's the only replayability here, for me.
My disdain for 00s indie knows no bounds. Dischordant, whiny, boring, and at times just plain dumb, this album was honestly made all the worse by the couple of songs that showed promise just to become crapfests before moving onto the next audio misadventure.

American Art-Rock / Indie-Rock which is not necessarily a bad thing, but in places this album is morose, pretentious, and dissonant, but it's not all bad, with a mesmerising quality to it.
The vocalist is wildly out of key at times, and the music is mostly basic and unimpressive, apart from a few transitional synth parts. The problem with a lot of these indie rock albums is that they always sound like the band phoned them in - partly because the music isn't challenging at all, and partly because the style demands simplicity. Nevertheless, if the album is short enough and takes a few chances, indie rock can indeed be interesting. However, while Wilco does take some chances musically, the album is also almost a full hour in length, and each song is stretched at least 2 minutes past where it should've ended. 1.5/5.0: Bad

Really didn't like it. It's not bad music on its own, it's just not for me. There weren't any stand out songs, I didn't care for the lyrics or the presentation, and I couldn't stop thinking this was for someone that just wanted to turn their brain off and not really listen.

Slow, plodding, whiny nasally vocals interjected with random sci-fi noises is no way to get me to like an album. A few songs were up tempo enough to be ok, but I don't see the fascination with these guys.

I just can't put my finger on why this band is so popular and well respected. The songs are well made (thanks to Jim O' Rourke?), but they're still so generic and not creative to the very core. I don't know, maybe I'm the problem for not getting it.

Boring and safe, with nothing risked. It sounds like the hardest and most interesting life experience for this band was that time they came in 3rd at the county fair Battle of the Bands, only because the mayor's son was in the band that won and his friend was in the band that placed second. Boring music for boring people.

There's lots of instruments and samples layered all over these songs, but the underlying structure is just basic and boring. This is a gilded turd, designed to appeal to people that like shiny things.

it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t really good either. Nothing really stood out — no hooks, no moments that grabbed me. It all kind of blended together into the same sound, track after track. Just felt a bit flat overall, like there was nothing to hold on to.
Yet another bland pop record. I've heard of Wilco, I've heard friends sings it's praise, but I've still no idea why that is? Does nothing to me. This is not rock music, not art nor indie or otherwise, a few licks with a distortion pedal doesn't turn pop music into rock.

Pretty monotone music, some mediocre lyrics and not-so-great vocals.
The singer sounds like he’s trying to be chris martin from coldplay, but this guy just can’t sing very well. His slower songs really show how much he can’t sing but the more fast paced songs were better. I liked war on war. 2.8/5

27/1089 - Instrumentals sounded cool on the first song but then the voice came in and I was immediately disappointed. The singer is consistently flat throughout all of the songs, and the instrumentals become a lot more boring and passive. "Jesus, Etc." was alright though.
I don’t get the hype. Likeable tunes with a bit of ambient noise here and there, but gosh is this thing easy to ignore. I Am Trying to Break Your Heart will forever be excellent, though.
I thought I was going to like this album a lot more than I did. There's lots of potential but the execution is lacking. I thought it'd be peaceful like a Bon Iver album or something but it was actually kind of stressful with all of the dissonance. I also don't particularly care for the lead's voice. There are some OK songs but overall a disappointment. 4.5/10 (2.25/5)

I don't understand this album
Not to be confused with legendary pub rock guitarist Wilko Johnson or the budget British household goods store, this is a band that seems to be held in high regard by some music fans. It started promisingly with some experimental noodling, but then I found it washing over me and not leaving much of an impression. I saw them described as a Rustbelt Radiohead but on this evidence they are more of a Chicago Coldplay.
I vaguely knew they existed, never bothered to listen to them and... I was probably fine this way. This is pretty bland, very standard and forgettable indie rock.

This is both incredibly boring, and manages to be intensely frustrating by having several tracks that are almost good.
Wilco always bores the pants off me for some reason. I have never been able to get into them. I’ve seen them in concert twice and nothing. I thought this would be a good chance to give them another shot.just doesn’t connect with me. Too mellow.
First impression: WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT This isn't great so far. I had to skip to the next track ⅔ of the way through the first song. Track 5 seemed substantially better to me, but still was just OK This would probably be alright if they were just an instrumental band

I don't like the vocals. Sound like he's uninterested and bored the whole time. And besides he could really use a touch of a pitch correction software. For now I'm trying to appreciate the music behind his voice. It tries to be experimental and I appreciate that. But sounds too much like if all the songs were composed with an acoustic guitar and the rest of the musicians had to figure out what to play around it. Everything it's just...... Bland. Boring. At the end, nothing from this album got me excited.

This is an album that I have heard about for a long time as it features two of my favorite buildings from my city. I was kind of underwhelmed as it is not really my type of music. I have heard some songs before due to the locally known album art.
I want to like this band. Wilco is probably one of those one-song-per-album band for me. I don't like that about our relationship, but this album was a struggle.

I have never been able to get into Wilco. People love them, I always kinda thought they were milquetoast-y and boring- kinda like if Weezer did an “Unplugged” album. We will see…. Yup, that is my overall take on this album -- good musicians, but boring and milquetoast decisions ruin most of my enjoyment of the music
The album equivalent of getting blueballed. Some of the songs are such a bore to listen to, but then it gets -really- interesting... Only to have it end immediately. It is relaxing to listen to, but for an album that is supposed to be influential, I was expecting more.

I've never understood the hype around Wilco. I feel like I ought to like them given their reference points but the songs sound uninspiring and the 'experimental' bits sound tacked on to me.

Pretty boring
I didn't really connect with this album. I didn't dislike it, I just thought it was okay and none of the songs peaked my interest greatly. I'd say my favourite song on the album was "I'm the Man Who Love You". I will say I love the album title and the simplicity of the album cover.
I hear a lot of hype about this album, but I am not sure it really clicked with me. The vocals sound of the time - sounding between Britt Daniel and Thom Yorke. I guess it kinda sounds like if T. Rex we're a 2000s indie band. That is to say it all sounds pretty derivative to me and, other than the arrangements themselves, nothing stood out.

This is seriously dull for the most part and doesn’t really work for me. Some of the sounds are interesting, but can also come across as a bit twee. Some songs are a bit upbeat and inoffensive enough. But that's just it, it's all so soft and inoffensive. There’s no excitement to be found anywhere in here.
Sometimes clever lyrically, but I always hope for more from this group musically. There's just too often a kind of slow, plodding sameness to the songs.
The only Wilco I've listened to before this are the two Mermaid Avenue records with Billy Bragg. You know those bands that you think you should love but just don't. I think Wilco is one of those bands for me. There were a few songs that were nice to listen to but as a whole, it didn't grab me. Favorites: Pot Kettle Black (I think because the beginning sounds like In Between Days, my favorite Cure song) Would I listen to it again? No

The first song is practically unlistenable, which is a bad way to start an album. If you keep listening it gets better. But it’s trying to be too artsy with all the random noise cluttering the background.

Kinda noisy - grating at times
Oh man, I used to love Wilco. Alway conveniently situated in a town centre or local shopping district, I’ve lost count of the number of times they’ve got me out of a pickle with a reasonably priced plug extension or a roll of Gaffa tape. Maybe this was the beginning of the end? It is an odd choice to branch into middle of the road, soft guitar rock. It doesn’t seem to fit the brand to me at all. I don’t really see why it would be “widely regarded as one of the greatest albums of the 2000s”. It seems pretty dull to me. Come back and return to your origins as a discount general retail store. I miss you.
Wilco is one of those bands that I know I'm supposed to like, but haven't ever actually listened to. That said, it's fine. It sounds like it's recorded on a cheap mic set a bit too far away, which I don't really enjoy aesthetically. Still, there's a song or two in there that's not bad.

Oh Dear! On the first track it sounds like someone's trying to sabotage the track by randomly banging on a tin cup, and the rest of the album is not much better. Dreary, dull, and weird, but not in a good way. I didn't like it much, but I suppose I can manage two stars.

The Good:Recorded in the Windy City. The Bad: It has nothing to do with the Windy City. The Ugly: An album that lasts about 40 minutes too long… Wilco… wasn´t into them when they were current, and currently couldn´t be bothered. Annoying vocals, instrumentations okay, overall an album that can be skipped… 2* because I´m nice like that...

Am a fan of the band, especially Jeff Tweedy. But not so much of this album. I find it too boring and nothing like their earlier work.
This album was just boring from start to finish. When I got their album Being There, I thought it was about as average as it gets. Unfortunately Yankee Hotel Foxtrot manages to be an even more boring venture in to their catalog. At this point I’m good with never hearing another Wilco album again.

In high school I went to a taping of Late Night with Conan O’Brien and Wynona Rider was the main guest so Wilco, being her favorite band, was the musical guest. I thought they were terrible. This album isn’t quite as bad as that.
no strong feelings one way or another
I don’t get it. I keep thinking that one of these years I’ll get it, but I never do. The orchestration, the instrumentation, the production are all tremendous. But the thing is, the melodies themselves are boring af. Repetitive. Mr. Mangum is perpetually flat. And the lyrics: so depressing! Over and over again how he wants to die? So why am I listening? I’m not gonna deny that there is artistry at work here, but the end result is just joyless, and, as such, deeply not my personal aesthetic.

Decent enough listen
It's warm and tuneful but just feels like it's missing something?
1. "I Am Trying to Break Your Heart" A little pretentious, overall boring, lots of stupid noise stuff and off key piano lines. 2. "Kamera" Better than the first song, still has annoying noises. The singer just seems bored, and he should be, it's a boring song. 3. "Radio Cure" More stupid noise stuff, singer seems to still be very bored. Doinky piano scattered about. Lyrics are just pretentious nonsense. I'm so bored. 4. "War on War" More stupid noise stuff in the intro, followed by a much better song. Easily the best song by far. Unfortunately, more stupid noise stuff is scattered about. Outro way too long and unnecessary. 5. "Jesus, Etc." No stupid noise stuff, although they were stretching with some of the violin stuff. Decent, not great, don't need to hear it again. 6. "Ashes of American Flags" It just seems like they think it's way bigger than it is, it's not. It's not insightful or profound, just pretentious. Outro is stupid noise stuff. 7. "Heavy Metal Drummer" Hip hop drums start this one out. This song is so fucking lame. I want to murder this song with a butter knife to make the pain last. 8. "I'm the Man Who Loves You" 100% best song on the album so far. I give these guys a second chance based on this song. 9. "Pot Kettle Black" Another pretty good one. Seems like they went for the unconventional approach of bottom loading rather than top loading the album. 10. "Poor Places" Uh oh, more stupid noises... Ugh, the lyrics are so fucking pretentious. Terrible precussion. Awful piano. This is nonsense. Grabbed the butter knife. Stupid noise stuff again. 11. "Reservations" Stupid noises, bored singer, finishing like we started. It's so incredibly bad. Why won't it end? I would put a bullet in this one just so I didn't have to suffer. Fucking stupid noises in the outro.

Meh. I liked this back in the day but these days it leaves me pretty cold.
I was so bored during this (2nd) Wilco album that I decided to look at the 1001 book and make sure it was the last - its not, still another to go :( As I said in my last Wilco review, I feel like I should like this with my taste in music, but I just don't - total snoozefest! I also was horrified to realised when I was looking at the book that there are ZERO Cranberries albums?! 3 Wilco and no Cranberries, how is that possible?

Pretty boring album, there's some decent songs in the middle but it starts off with nothing and ends with nothing, I was not impressed with most of the songs on this album
I’ve listened to this album a few times over the years because a lot of people whose opinions I respect love it, but it never quite landed. Was excited when it came up because I wanted to give it a close, attentive listen. My opinion hasn’t changed. It just doesn’t do it for me. Certainly not bad by any means, but just not my cup of tea.
Not really an album I’d come back to, but I was intrigued by some of the choices regarding instrumentation and production.
I don't know what to say about this album. It's alright but it's quite forgettable. I expected it to be a tad better. It's a blessing that Tweedy can sing unlike Tom Waits whose album I reviewed yesterday. The instrumentation is clever in places but it's not enough to stand out. 2 stars for this unremarkable album.
