Why is this on the list
Brian Wilson at his best. Every song is a treat!
Wow! I went in with no expectations and came out with a deep appreciation.

Wow! I went in with no expectations and came out with a deep appreciation.
Not for me 🤷🏻♀️
Strong start, repetitive finish.
I really did not enjoy this one.
God I love this album.
I’m learning that I am not a fan of Australian alternative.
Good fun.
I liked this a lot more than expected
I’ve always meant to check out The Only Ones more in depth since hearing and loving “another girl, another planet” years ago. But to be honest, that’s the best and only worthwhile song on this album.
What a delight!
Solid.
Why is this on the list
Meh
There is like ~2 good songs on this album. Most of it was just grating.
Interesting listen - but never again.
I absolutely adore this album!
A classic.
I cried twice listening to this album.
Really fun listen, but not something I would revisit.
Pretty good, but not as good as NFR
What I would do to be a fly on the wall in that Berlin studio
If the album was only 14 songs it would be a much higher score. Second half was repetitive, but I’ve gotta give it up for 1979.
3 stars for the Thom Yorke feature.
There are songs on this album (ivy, cowboy like me) that are so breathtakingly beautiful, but overall I can’t say this is a top tier album for me.
Hell of a debut.
Kool album
What a debut! I love early Bjork so much.
Really fun
Can’t knock a classic
This was a really fun listen. Not sure if I’ll ever give it another go, but unique.
Too long.
This is a top contender for my favourite album of all time.
This is the best Nirvana album.
Wonderful as always
Fun concept, but not super into it.
5 stars for cupid cone if I’m being honest.
Surprisingly enjoyed this one
Exceptionally average. A tad boring.
I’m so tired of Neil Young at this point
I’m so tired of Neil Young at this point
I definitely didn’t give this album the proper listen it deserved, and it probably should be a 5 star review, but after so long all the songs started to blend together. Ella has a beautiful voice, and the production was great. Maybe one day I’ll have the time to sit and really listen to this one.
3 stars for childhood nostalgia.
Beautiful.
Fuck Kanye. This album slaps but fuck Kanye.
Boring
Yeah it’s good but not as good as men on hinge make it out to be.
It feels so good to listen to Spector knowing he’s dead and isn’t profiting off of it. Evil man, musical genius; I love this album.
There is very little music that is greater than the music Iggy and Bowie produced together.
I’ve never been the biggest hip hop fan, but Tribe has always held a special spot for me. So good.
I get why people love this, but I just can’t get into it.
I was so excited to get this album this morning as I’ve never actually sat down and listened to it in full. You can hear the immense influence it has had on modern electronic, dance, and even pop music.
Elevator music
I hated this so much even tainted love couldn’t convince me otherwise.
Why is this on the list.
A classic
What the hell
I listen to Another Brick In the Wall, Pt.2 everyday on my drive to work. I’m a teacher. The song is THAT good.
Break up blues!
One of the most beautiful albums every made. Perfect for a rainy day.
Beautiful.
Not for me
Bop after bop
Beautiful album
I didn’t finish listening to this one and I don’t really care if I ever do.
There is something so inherently beautiful, and haunting about this album that just stays with you. The love, fear, vulnerability, lust and joy that Bjork weaves into these songs makes it a one of a kind experience. This is my pick for the best album of all time.
DNF
A masterpiece.
What a gorgeous album. I’ve never given twigs much of a chance (outside of Cellophane, which may just be the best break up song of all time) but I will definitely be checking out more of her music after this.
Dnf
A classic
Albums like this are exactly why I love this challenge. Beautiful.
Not for me but I get it.
I really didn’t enjoy this. Felt like a beach boys rip off most of the way through.
Overinflated score for childhood nostalgia
I couldn’t get through this at all.
Not what I was expecting massive attack to sound like but I enjoyed it!
Not terrible, but not for me.
Poorly executed Radiohead.
Actually questioning my own taste in music as I read all these 4 and 5 star reviews.
Albums like this are the reasons I love this project. So good.
Would honestly just rather read the poetry. So jarring and honestly exhausting.
Enjoyed this so much more than I thought I would!
Son great classic songs on here. Really enjoyed listening to this while I got ready this morning.
Was really surprised by this one!
The stones at their very best!
This was fun!
I hated this from start to finish.
Honestly boring.
I appreciate this, but it was so hard to listen to.
So not for me
Is this the only good Elvis Costello album? I love it.
Lovely
I hate how much I enjoy listening to Eminem
Hot take but I think this is far from the Beatles best work
I would have loved this album was I was 14.
DNF. I hated this.
Really enjoyed this one.
I really really really love this album.
Beautiful, as always.
I was surprised by this. Some really lovely stuff in here!
Really beautiful.
A perfect pop album. I prefer the deluxe version as I truly think the best songs of the album were left off the standard 13 song version.
I could not get through this. Yikes.
A classic, fun, dance around my kitchen album. Would have loved to have been able to see this performed live when it first came out.
I found this exceptionally boring and repetitive.
Not for me
The second half of this album is gold. Love it.
Not for me.
Not for me.
My mom used to play this album repeatedly when I was a baby. It feels like home in the best way.
DNF. What the fuck was that.
One of my favourites!
I really loved this. It’s going straight into my regular rotation!
An all time classic for me.
Not for me, but one bonus star for the Both Sides Now cover
This was fine. It probably deserves higher but I’m so tired of listening to Elvis Costello.
Music is an iconic song. The rest of this album kind of sucks.
This is the first album my toddler self really loved. It doesn’t hold up.
I love Joni Mitchell, but not this Joni Mitchell.
I really don’t get it. It’s all noise to me.
Teenage Nostalgia
My Canadian shame is that I don’t like Rush.
I loved this.
I hate his voice so much. Like cannot stand it at all.
An all time classic.
Loved this. Can’t believe it took me this long to finally listen.
Kinda fun, but not for me.
Booo tomato tomato
So not for me.
I want to love Nick Cave but I just don’t.
This one is hard for me. The arrangements are stunning but the bjork vocals take me out of it.
This review is dedicated to all of my ex boyfriends!
Is this a true 4 or does it just remind me of a happier time in my life? I guess we will never know.
This is THE album.
This one surprised me! Had a great morning listening to this.
Some good Brit pop on this list for once
Good fun!
So not for me. Ugh.
A top 10 album. Perfect.
Punk is just too fun to score low.
I was really not expecting to like this as much as I did! A real fun album with a cohesive sound, makes for great background music.
Wonderful!
Really lovely from start to finish. Such a shame that the world lost out on more music from Amy.
DNF. Sorry I just couldn’t with this one.
Brian Wilson at his best. Every song is a treat!
Really loved this one!
Meh. At times it worked well as background music while I did some work but I would never put it on a second time.
Absolutely perfect. No notes.
A masterpiece.
Not my usual genre but I really love this album.
I wish I was the type of person who could enjoy ambient, but I’m just not.
A masterpiece.
I was dreading this album, and how long it would take me to get through, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The time flew by with these fun short little songs, never a dull moment!
A true masterpiece start to finish. Love is an expert at expressing the rage of existing as a woman in North America.
Banger after banger.
I can’t believe this is my first James Taylor album listen. Beautiful stuff.
I’m sorry, but I love him.
