Really good clean fun. Probably just edges into a 4 because of Belinda.
I loved it. Went and watched their 2020 documentary immediately. I love their energy, and I have been looking for this exact kind of feminine new-wave sound since I listened to the new Olivia Rodrigo album. This fits my current mood perfectly.
A decent album by an all female punk rock band. However it doesn't provide as much of a kick as other bands like blondie or the pretenders do.
A nice little slice of jangly, poppy new wave that was much better than I was envisaging when it came up. The layered female vocals pop up quite a lot more recently so I imagine they all reference this.

Over 100+ albums and I finally get an all female band. And it's one of my absolute favorites! When I was about 4 years old, I was gifted a "We Got The Beat" 7 inch single and I played it on my Sesame Street suitcase record player until it was scratched beyond belief. This was the very beginning of my music journey and would (along with Sassy magazine) influence my music choices into my teen years, as I preferred Juliana Hatfield, Belly, Throwing Muses, and That Dog. Then, later on, my obsession with The Donnas and The Eyeliners. These ladies are so fucking cool. Favorite songs here will always be "Automatic" and "Can't Stop The World".
Rad album. All the songs fall somewhere between pretty good and great. Our Lips Are Sealed has always been my favorite.

Pure pop!
Vapid, mindnumbingly repetitive and dated. Some songs feel like they're going on forever. Filled with samey song structures and over saturated vocals. Some hooks are pretty catchy I guess, and the surfy instrumentation is unique. The band sounds like they're having fun, and the vocals are charming, but it doesn't save the album from being a bit of an exhausting listen. Points for good vibes, could be fun throwing a couple of songs from here on a throw back playlist I suppose. 2/5
Remember the single and liked it but found the rest just average . Bit soundtrack to an American teen movie sort of music .
We got the beat is the best song on here by far. I didn't dislike it, but it was so samey, and flip flopped between their punk roots and the poppy stuff kind of a lot. It was fine though.

After an out if order listen a daily offering that disappointed Beauty and the Beat provided a refreshing upbeat. I don’t expect the Go-Go’s to become something to return to regularly ut did add at least Our Lips are Sealed to my never ending favorites playlist

I knew two songs from this going in. I have to say now I get the hype. This is a great album. One of the things I love about this is the sounds. The vocal arrangements are huge, but the guitars and bass sound very punk while the drums sound like the pop of the era. I think those combos are what make this album sound so huge even though it’s kind of sparse. This is really well done. Last track, can’t stop the world. I know this song. Heard covers. Never knew this was the go gos. This song is amazing and I’ve loved it for years never know who wrote it.
I've loved this album since it came out. In fact, it was probably one of the first albums I bought myself on vinyl (and I have the original peach background album cover version) and I still put this one on my turntable from time to time today. I was just over 9 years old when this came out, and to have an all-female band that played all their own instruments and wrote their own songs was amazing. Everything about the Go-Go's was so cool and fun. But aside from all that, this is just a great album. If you're only familiar with the two big hits, the rest of the album is a lot more punk than you would expect it to be based on those two songs. This is one of those albums that absolutely deserves to be on this list for so many reasons, and one of my all-time favorite albums.

I love that a record as scrappy and fun as this was the second best selling album of 1982. But a good deal of it belongs firmly in 1982.
This was an easy listen. I won't come back to it but I had no trouble getting through it and even gave it a second listen. Didn't dramatically change any feelings I have about the Go Go's, or this flavor of harmless (almost to a fault) new wave/pop.
I was but a wee lad when the Go-Go's broke through, but I distinctly remember "We Got the Beat" and "Our Lips are Sealed" on MTV and the radio (and having a crush on Belinda Carlisle). I kept to the greatest hits for most of my life but bought this on vinyl years ago. There are many classics here—"Our Lips are Sealed" remains the GOAT—and a few lesser tracks. You could argue, like the band did, that the production and mix of Beauty and the Beat veers too poppy, but these are pop songs at their core. And the Go-Go's ruled, so there's that. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Peppig power-pop med liten nypa punk. En positiv överraskning, kände inte till The Go-Go's sedan tidigare furutom att jag hade hört We got the beat vilket är ett höjdarspår. Det är ett melodiöst up-beat album som är väldigt konsekvent och tycker inte det finns några dåliga spår. Inte svårt att se att detta album har varit inspiration för senare band. I love this record - 35 minutes of blisteringly good guitar pop that begs to be played loud. They're a hugely under-appreciated band - their sound can be heard in all the jangly, indie, punk pop bands that followed in the 80s and 90s. Green Day, for one, would have sounded very different without the Go Go's influence. There are a couple of slightly lacklustre moments but when they're bounding along at a pace, they absolutely shine. And those bass lines are glorious. The first thing I did when this album finished playing was bang it on again. Our Lips Are Sealed - how is it possible for a single song to be THIS good? Wonderful stuff.
I am sure I must have heard Our Lips Are Sealed before, though I don't really recollect it properly. I also have a soft spot for some of Belinda Carlisle's crappy pop songs (Always Breaking My Heart may be a guilty pleasure) but I can wholeheartedly say I loved this burst of jangly pop. Is it genre-defining, revolutionary or head-turning? No, no and no. But a thoroughly enjoyable slice of pop.

Pre Listen: The album cover intimidates me. I feel like I shouldn't be here. Never heard of this group, no expectations, etc. Notable Tracks: Our Lips Are Sealed - Ohhhh shit I do know this group. This is a classic. Excited to hear what's in store from here. Lust to Love - My favorite track, I like the lyrics a lot. Catchy too. We Got The Beat - Another classic. Got stuck in my head for a while even after I finished the album. Automatic - Maybe the weakest song on the album? It's very different from the rest, but still I enjoyed it. Post Listen: I enjoyed this album more than I could've anticipated. It's classic bubble-gum Pop, mixed with a bit of what I think is Surf-Rock. I really love the lead singer, her voice is a great blend of joyful peppiness and softer harmonies with the other vocalists. The guitar is incredibly clean, and the bass compliments every song very nicely. The drums too are very solid, keeping the beat. I'll be adding a few songs to my playlist, really blew my expectations away. I have no criticisms, really just a phenomenally well put-together album. They absolutely got the beat. 5/5 EDIT - Came back after re-listening to the album. I think my initial score could be described as a "Sugar High" with just how bubble-gum their sound is. On subsequent listens, it wasn't quite as sweet as I remembered it. I still love it, I just don't think it's perfect-score worthy. Changed to 4/5.

Kind of fun and poppy and I guess they are quite unimportant group, positive fun energy and attitude but not too many killer tunes.
I recognized the hits, but before now would have missed a trivia question asking which group Belinda Carlisle was in before starting her solo career. Shame on me! Another trivia tidbit: They were "the first—and only—all-female band to top the Billboard album chart while writing their own songs and playing their own instruments." This is fantastic, summery, fun, just a blast of a listen.
Overall, this album does stand the test of time! Belinda Carlisle's vocals are raw, powerful, and uncontrolled but not in the bad way. I had a low level of anxiety while listening because I kept wondering, "Is her voice going to give out?" but, it added to the listening experience as it kept me intrigued and focused. The melodies are very catchy, the band was phenomenal, and supported Belinda exceedingly well. Now for the negatives: lyrically, the album is very surface level and when it tried to delve deeper, it was very trite and predictable, especially on "skid marks on my heart". One major issue I had while listening was the individuality of the songs or rather the lack of it. Every song was very sonically and generically similar, always living in this pop-rock world, steady drums, strumming electric guitar, talk-singing, growing pre-chorus that explodes into a catchy chorus. Don't get me wrong, it sounds good but I would've loved to see a wider range of sounds explored on this album especially considering how well this band could sound with a little more creativity. A track shout-out for me is "Automatic", its very different from the rest of the album, its a lot quieter and inward than the rest of the album. The guitar strumming is haunting and the pause at the end of the chorus is perfection!

Ovo je album koji ima dosta zanimljivih elemenata, nimalo kao prosječni new-wave album, ali na njihovu žalost ja više volim prosječni new-wave. Belindin glas mi ne štima, osim u Circle in the Sand konkretno. Nisam ni znala da je ona negdje bila prije toga. Svašta danas saznajem.

An all-female band! I've probably said this before but this kind of new-wave/punk is so lively and playful. The tracks sound similar to each other, but it isn't a bad thing here. They sound like the B-52's but more poppy and less kitschy (3.5-4).
This album is a lot of fun. You have the hits you’ll recognize like “Our Lips Are Sealed” and “We Got the Beat”, but a lot of the other tracks are very strong. I particularly liked “This Town”. The background beat is a bit repetitive, but in general I enjoyed my time with this album. 4/5

Fun girl-pop with some memorable hits. I prefer a band like the B-52's though, as they have a similar sound but the Go-Go's just lack a bit of the edge that makes the 52's so interesting.

Wow. This kicks ass. Might be the coolest female only band ever. It's a very fun Rock Pop mix, and every song is pretty fun and energetic. It's also only 35 minutes long, which if anything leaves me wanting more. Of course, the big hit here is "We Got The Beat", and it's for sure my second favorite song on the album. It was a close fight between that and "This Town", but as always, if I end up singing a song when it's not even on, that one is going to be my pick for favorite virtually every time. In this instance, since this was my weekend album (Female Friday's), I've had the lyrics to "This Town" in my head the entire weekend, so it's for sure my favorite. There's not a TON of variety on this album, you kind of get the point after the first couple of songs, but they're all very fun, and it's not much of an issue when the album is so short to begin with. The album art is also pretty great. Not something you'd expect to see on a Rock album cover, but they make it work. Seriously though, especially for being an entirely female led band, this was really good. I emphasize that for the sole reason of saying, admittedly, I can't think of a second 4+ member band of just females. It's pretty cool that it exists at all, and even cooler that it sounds this good. I think I would seriously return to this at any time virtually. It's unbelievably catchy, and the chemistry between the band members comes together very nicely to produce an excellent, short, lightning in a bottle album that I really enjoyed spending the weekend listening to. I also always love when my 2 favorite songs on an album are right next to each other. The 1-2 combo of "This Town" and "We Got The Beat" is just so good. Not much more to say about this album other than the fact that I really enjoyed it, and I kind of wish they had more albums I could check out on here. I feel like I've been very generous giving out 4's and 5's lately. Either that or these albums have just been banger after banger. I'm honestly struggling to think of why this would ever be a 3 for me, and I'm also struggling to think of why it wouldn't be a 5. I don't know, it's pretty god damn good. This one is going on the list of albums I might change to a 5 later if I ever comb through the list in the future. I really enjoyed this one.

A great pop-rock, new wave album that epitomizes the time in which it was produced, which also happens to be when I was a teen, so there is also a nostalgic element to it. My musical tastes have grown, or changed, as I’ve grown old, so I haven’t listened to the Go-Go’s for many years. Another fun listen! Sometimes the best part of this project is being reminded of things we once loved.
Really, the Go-Go's are on here? It's a fine album I guess and it is still well received. Good for the era and for that kind of music.

The drumming on this album is absolutely nuts. Instant classic that unfortunately not a lot of people are aware of outside of We Got the Beat, which imo is the worst song on here.
Too 80s pop for me
D'entrée, c'est dansant, plutôt mod et j'adore leur harmonie vocales sur les refrains. Je me vois très bien le repasser pour une soirée enjouée ou une séance musicale feel good et énergétique. Coup de coeur plus important pour Tonite et Fading Fast, mais tout l'album me régale. Je ne donne pas la note maximale en revanche car il ne m'a pas non lus pris par les tripes.
A couple really high highs among a sea of meh
super torn on this one. It’s kind of amateurish, with a lot of early days metaphor songs, weak rhymes, simple structures. I kind of want to give this a two like I would any other album that isn’t *bad* but needs more work or more polish. It’s also pretty catchy. The drums and bass are a lot of fun and there are some specific vocal flourishes that make me want to rate this a (low) four. It’s still more of a stepping stone to similar bands I like better but there are specific things about it I love. so it’s probably getting a three? But there are good arguments in either direction and a three feels like giving up.

Love it throughout, so much energy, as iconic as the two big hits are ("there's a weapon that we must use in our defense, silence" goes so hard as a lyric) my very favorite is Tonite

An album I should have listened to before but somehow never did. Punk tinged pop, bubblegum rock, whatever it is, it has held up to the passage of time.
Very fun. I love how the band on this one doesn't take themselves seriously and are focused simply on having fun, it works well with the poppier side of new wave and punk that this album is drenched in. Probably favourite element of the album is the backing/harmony vocals are very well, not often for me the backing/harmony vocals are best element (I believe they're done specifically the best in the songs "Lust to Love" and This Town.") Highlight Song/s: "Lust to Love"

Really fun album, even if it's a bit bland. The energy is great and the songs are catchy. It's a good dose of power pop. Not to mention it's an all-girl album in an era where that was rare (and it unfortunately still is). Add in that this was the band's debut and it becomes even more impressive. Putting all those details together makes it a clear candidate for this list. Even so, I didn't really love it. It felt a little lacking in depth and substance, instead relying on its hooks to keep you engaged. As a result, there were a lot of songs on here that didn't really do a lot for me even though I liked them well enough. I enjoyed the listen without really thinking it was something much better than good. Overall: 2.9/5

Sleater Kinney in the 80s? OK, no, but this is closer than you might expect. If I had to guess when this was released, I'd guess the 90s before I guessed 1981. I suppose there's a through-line from the Ramones to this, as both are punchy and a bit fierce while also kind of being pop music at their heart. But this feels much closer to what punk music turned into. "Tonite" has a riff that's reminiscent of melodic hardcore; if you sped it up it would sound like a Bad Religion song. While it feels very ahead of its time, I do think it either needed more variety or bigger hooks to really succeed. The songs all short and fast verse-chorus-verse songs with no surprises. The group vocals are a nice touch, but the lyrics are nothing special. A really interesting album chronologically, but it doesn't quite come together for me.

*1981. *Starts off really strong with "Our Lips are Sealed." *We Got The Beat is the only other song I know. *This is fine in small doses, but it's just a lot of the same thing - very poppy girl group. *Fading Fast and Skidmarks on My Heart are some of the few exceptions - they had a little bit of grit to them, in a good way. RATING - 6/10
Some of my favourite bands are female lead like Blondie, Amyl and the Sniffers and The Beaches. You can add The Go-Go’s to that list. Great riffs, catchy lyrics and they’re a tight sounding band. 35 minutes flew by

The Go-Go’s are a great pop 80s band, and the record has lots of energy. Not an album I’ll go back to often, but was enjoyable to start my day.

1981 - fronted by Belinda Carlisle, evolving to new wave pop by way of the punk scene. All-female band the Go-Go’s dropped this solid new wave punk freshman record with songs like Tonite among their more well known song along singles
I didn’t even know it, but I needed to listen to an ’80s girl rock band. This album is super cohesive, fun, musically strong, and on top of that it’s the essence of ’80s rock. Really cool! So much fun! 8/10

I’m not exactly sure, but I feel like my parents had this cassette tape, because as I listened I felt extremely nostalgic for singing and dancing to these songs in the backyard. I used to love The Go-Gos and this was a fun listen.
Saw them in a small club in San Pedro ( I think) and was unimpressed. Except for being women, there was nothing that made them stand out musically from their peers. Typical peppy pop from that time and place.
pop rock music from a group of young women trying to find their place in the world. this is a good pick for an album for the summertime. ideally when you're at the pool and splashing your friends, this is playing from a boombox. many tracks are easy to sing along to. i can't see this album repeating too often in my playlists of choice, but i admire musicians who have a real sense of identity and the kind of stuff they want to show off to the masses. this is an album meant for listening when you're having a ball and you don't care about anything else.

This is good pop. I like good pop, probably more than most. But it's not a great album. I'm going to be a little generous in my rating because it was really refreshing to hear a girl group on fine form in amongst all the male driven serious stuff we get on this app.
A fine collection of New Wave, pop-rock tracks with a distinctly ’80s flair. There are a couple of standout tracks, presumably the singles, but nothing truly spectacular.

I've never heard of these before, or any of their hits. I don't think they were anywhere near as big in the UK as in the US. There's some nice songs in here, but it's all very light and fluffy and forgettable though. It starts to feel quite samey by the end of it and I did find myself getting a bit bored, which isn't great at just 35 minutes. It's not wowing me, but it's also pretty accessible and easy listening. A thoroughly 3/5 album.

The songs all sound a lot alike, but they mostly sound good! I can see people coming at me for giving the Go-Gos 4 stars when I gave Leonard Cohen only two, but a lot of it just enjoyment. Sort of like how I would rather watch Singin’ in the Rain or Back to the Future than Citizen Kane. One may be objectively more artistic, but for me it comes down to pleasure in listening.
This was a pleasant surprise! I never would have listened to this album and while it feels a bit monochrome, it's much better than I expected. How Much More, You Can't Walk In Your Sleep, and Skidmarks On My Heart are quite catchy, but the stand out for me was Tonite. It's a bit more raw feeling than the other tracks, and that chorus! I can see myself coming back to this track.

OKAY FINE ILL ELABORATE ON MY BLONDIE SHITPOST WITH THE GO-GO’s PROXY!!!! I think it is genuinely awesome that Blondie came from roots at CBGB and transformed themselves into pop icons. The great songs on that album are some of the greatest of that era, and ever, but the songs that miss just feel like songs of their era have nothing going for them. The Go-Go’s admitedly debuted after Blondie and owe a lot of their success to them, but their Cali-forn-I-A background makes SO much more sense to me in the context of a punk rock pivot. They’re one of the first bands to reinterpret surf music after the punk boom. The Go-go’s surfrock-newwave synthesis, call it "Surfwave," compliment each other MUCH better than Blondie’s straight pop pivot for many reasons because they have those girl group harmonies, not just the Men in Blacking Band. We Got the Beat, Our Lips Are Sealed, Fading Fast, but the other tracks have a Automatic is genuinely haunting. It reminds me of like, Drugs by Talking Heads. I don’t know. Belinda Carslile u are so awesome.

oh i'm sure everyone's (except me scout and marlon) gonna give this a 2. godforbid the pop songs fucking Pop. could use some variety though. 80s fleetwood gets away with it because they have 3 vocalists (among other reasons). 3.4-4.2. this album probably would've meant a lot to me as a post studio 54 pre basquiat nyc young hoe™️.

I received my first AM-FM radio Christmas 1980 and We Got The Beat was on Top 40 all the time. Immediate nostalgia on track 1 this morning. The fun mostly stopped soon after. A fun walk down memory lane but not something I’d put on with any kind of frequency. 2/5

I Got the Beat and especially Our Lips Are Sealed are so, so good. The rest of the album is good enough, but just didn’t grab me like those two tracks.

Um… no idea? That surprises me. Let’s see… Oh, I could have died without hearing this. But then I found out my husband did a talent show in junior high where he and his friends did something with We Got the Beat. He got to “play” the drummer. That’s worth 3 stars right there. And I gave ABBA 3 stars, so it’s only fair.

Bueno, para empezar, es un disco altamente pionero, donde el sonido juega el rol más importante en crear la atmósfera que el disco propone. Es un disco con melodías muy bailables y disfrutables. Se sienten confortables y no tienen una complejidad muy grande a la hora de escuchar; se sienten cotidianas. Pareciera que este álbum fue hecho para ser el soundtrack de una romcom o algo por el estilo. Percibo una vibra a The Cranberries y The Las, bandas posteriores cuyo sonido tiene una notoria influencia de esta banda. En general, el álbum se me hizo un poco lineal. No sentí una dinámica constante entre canciones y hay una estructura similar entre ellas. Sin embargo, en su totalidad, funciona muy bien a la hora de crear una atmósfera divertida y bailable. Voy a destacar, por sobre todas las cosas, el hecho de que este álbum sea pionero en liderar rankings globales con una banda pura y exclusivamente femenina. Con una industria dominada por el rol masculino, este álbum viene a romper con los estereotipos. Las letras tienen un guiño a las experiencias de jóvenes y adolescentes mujeres, situaciones que no se solían hablar en canciones, convirtiéndolas en un ícono en el mundo musical de la época. Realmente revolucionaron la música de la época en todo sentido. Personalmente, este álbum lo esperé con muchas expectativas, ya que quería escuchar un álbum pop de mujeres; sin embargo, se me hizo poco dinámico. En mi experiencia como oyente, funciona muy bien como música de fondo o para situaciones específicas. No me terminó de asombrar por completo, pero lo que significó este álbum en la cultura no lo puedo dejar de lado. Soy una persona a la cual el impacto de las cosas, el trasfondo y el significado le suman mucho a sus gustos. Good pop-rock album. Clearly worth a listen. Energetic, enjoyable. I particularly liked "Automatic" (probably my favourite), "Our Lips are Sealed", "This Town", "We Got the Beat", or "Fading Fast". It's in the range between 3 and 4 stars.
I'd somehow never heard of this, and I'm surprised how much I liked it. Together with Blondie, it's definitely the best of the New Wave / post-punk stuff I've heard on this list. 'Skid marks on my heart' made me smirk though.

Enjoyable punky new wave. Songwriting is tight but suffers from a rather thin production; I can hear the bass guitar fine and that kick drum is definitely there, but the version i'm listening to has like no low end in it's mix. "We Got the Beat" is a classic single, and I've used it as guitar and bass practice many times over. 7.5/10.

There is a vocabulary problem around the Go-Go’s. They get described as fun, spirited, breezy, infectious: words that aren’t exactly wrong, but somehow feel like pats on the head. Listen properly to _Beauty and the Beat_ and another word keeps demanding attention: tight. This band is tight as all hell. That matters because it’s surprisingly difficult to draw a long historical line of non-novelty, all-woman guitar pop bands. You can go back to Goldie and the Gingerbreads in the 60s, but then the trail gets remarkably thin until punk creates the conditions for another generation to pick up instruments, write songs and drill, drill, drill until they function as a gang. There was never anything intrinsically male about that route into pop music. The Go-Go’s demonstrate the obviousness of it so completely that the absence of more predecessors starts to look peculiar. They announce themselves with “Our Lips Are Sealed”, already one of the great pop singles, and then spend the album demonstrating that the single is the product of a formidable working band rather than some lucky convergence in the studio. “How Much More” has a guitar figure that recalls “His Latest Flame”; “Tonite” already hints at the jangling guitar language that would emerge in the Paisley Underground; the harmonies on “Lust to Love” are superb. There are decades of guitar pop apparently waiting to happen inside this record. “This Town” shows their economy particularly well. An opening guitar motif has a lovely Duane Eddy-ish twang, but when the solo arrives it is stripped down and simple rather than trying to outdo what has already been established. That restraint runs throughout the album. These are musicians making decisions for songs, not looking for opportunities to demonstrate that they can play. And then there is Gina Schock. On “Skidmarks on My Heart” in particular she propels the song furiously while the entire band remains locked around her. Guitars, bass and harmonies all seem bolted together, leaving Belinda Carlisle free to be gloriously loose over the top. That relationship between discipline underneath and personality above is one of the record’s great pleasures. Carlisle is putting in one hell of a shift throughout: even on the more forlorn “Fading Fast”, little drop-offs at the ends of phrases give the performance considerably more emotional detail than her larger-than-life vocal personality might initially suggest. The album also knows when to stop charging forward. “Automatic” slows everything down and lets atmosphere reign: picked guitar, tremolo and stop-time create space and tension rather than simply filling another three minutes with hooks. Elsewhere, “You Can’t Walk in Your Sleep (If You Can’t Sleep)” somehow anticipates the bright, clipped guitar pop of the Housemartins years before the fact, while the closing stretch lets more of the Go-Go’s earlier club-band identity show through. “Can’t Stop the World” even contains a faint glimpse of the sort of exuberant guitar pop-rock that would be filling the charts two decades later. Perhaps the most revealing comparison is “We Got the Beat”. Imagine precisely that level of economy, rhythmic discipline and collective attack coming from a male mod-revival band such as Secret Affair and nobody would hesitate to call them sharp, disciplined and extraordinarily tight. With the Go-Go’s, the temptation has always been to stop at “fun”. Well, they are fun. Immensely so. But the fun is the result, not the method. Underneath it is a band that has rehearsed until the machinery disappears, leaving only the exhilarating impression that making almost perfect pop is the easiest thing in the world.

Non troppo il mio stile di musica, da le vibes di country club/estate al lido nella casa dei nonni, sembra un gruppo degli anni Ottanta che cerca di fare musica anni 60. Le prime tre canzoni sono noiose, Lust to Love mi piace, quelle dopo sono orecchiabili ma non memorabili.

This was a pretty good listen; nothing mind blowing or super crazy. But it's understandable why it would be on this list. Personally I wouldn't have included it, but I hear the impact it had on the music scene for the 80s on up. Again a pretty good listen, but you're not missing anything otherwise.

It has been about two weeks since I had something I was familiar with or heard before so this was a nice little wave of nostalgia. I’ve always liked the Go-Go’s and Belinda Carlisle. Great band and a bunch of catchy songs that go quick, so even if it isn’t your thing it isn’t a huge time investment. Love those 80s hits though.

1. Our Lips Are Sealed - this sounds like a product of its time. A groovy 70s/80s pop. 2. How Much More - I don't want to say it sounds the same as the last song, but there is a motif of the upbeat light guitar. 3. Tonite - giving girl anthem for a party nite out. Or a night drive. It's starting to turn catchy. 4. Lust to Love - the beginning sounds like a different song I can't remember what song :( too stuck on thinking about it. 5. This Town - this is an album by girls for girls. I cannot vibe with it on that level, but it's fun. Glamorous :o) 6. We Got The Beat - Everyone knows this song. This deep in, the motif follows the Beach Boys surf style. Not awful 7. Fading Fast - a sadder song. I think the "go-go" guitar provides a lightness to it that makes it a sad but dance-y song. 8. Automatic - a big slow down. I like big switch. 9. YCWIYS(IYCS) - Back up again. 10. Skidmarks On My Heart - all I can think about is shit stain :/ sometimes there's a pop sound, sometimes there's more of a rock sound. I like the 70s/80s blend. 11. Can't Stop The World -
