muito foda o sonzao, curto das antiga já, rockzao classico modelo

Amazing album with so many genres. Great vocals too.

Pure genius!

Every CCR album has a few timeless cuts. But none has as many as Cosmo’s. Nor did any album perform as well as Cosmo’s. It’s also their longest by about 10 minutes. What surprises me most listening in full is how those timeless tracks are all buried late in the record. More surprising still is how at home they are—with the exception of maybe “Who’ll Stop the Rain”—among the deeper cuts and just how good those deeper cuts—all of which pay tribute to one rock n’ roll great or another—are. In the late 60s and early 70s, CCR churned out quality music at a rate and consistency that matched the likes of The Rolling Stones or Beatles. And in 1970, they even sold as well. They have a lot of great records in that period. But Cosmo’s is likely their peak, and definitely their last hurrah.

Love their brand of rootsy hippie rock. I’m ambivalent with their straight up rock and roll numbers though. Classic album with plenty of CCR classics.

It's really hard to not to love CCR and this album proves. It's got straight up rock, some blues and some long jams. Just great stuff.

Just a good listen.

I didn't know that Heard it through the Grapevine was 11 minutes long. Or that I wanted to hear an 11 minute version. I think it might be the first CCR album I've listened to all the way through and I thought it was a greatest hits album. Just really really good.

Just absolutely chock-full of hits. Rest of the album was also pretty good. Had a very jam band feel. Like they were just randomly playing whatever suited their mood at the time, so I wouldn't say it is very cohesive but the songs are so catchy and absorbing that it didn't matter much. Surprised myself by giving this 5 stars but here we are.

Im unsure how anyone could give anything less than 5. Every song on the album was legendary.

I think Creedence is underrated, in a way, because they have several hits that are fairly played out. Their run of great albums was remarkable and this album is fantastic all the way through. It has that typical swampy, garage rock-ish vibe and a great collection of songs.

Plays like a greatest hits album.

Fantastic album stuffed with legendary songs. Hell yeah.

I knew the hits but other than that really didn't know CCR. Really enjoyed the album as a whole, esp Track 1. 5/5

Some great early 70s American rock. I've heard of CCR but never really looked into them too much, and only heard one or two of their tracks - unlike a lot of these reviews I have no nostalgia towards them. Regardless this was a very good record with some surprisingly energetic rock. There were a couple of songs that lost my attention but I don't think I've found any 70s albums that have kept my attention all the way through. Favourite: Ramble Tamble

Classic

Я знаю эту группу с 2021 года, и это возможно лучший кантри-рок, что был когда либо создан. Ramble Tamble - это моя самая любимая песня у них, а их версия I Heard It Through The Grapevine - тоже для меня лучшая. В общем, альбом рекомендую, 5/5

Such a wonderful slice of Americana.

This is probably one of the great records. Just crazy how good every song is too me. Nothing remotely blends together or sounds repetitive. You can tell who Fogerty was emulating on most of the tracks I think. Travelin’ Band is definitely like Little Richard core, and I don’t think he gets enough credit for having that blues shouter type of voice. Lookin’ Out My Back Door is a good take on like Bakersfield Sound and Who’ll Stop The Rain is really George Harrison (All Things Must Pass) to me. Several great R&B covers with Grapevine being some of his best lead work. See The Light is the most Otis Redding non Otis Redding song I’ve ever heard. He can really belt it out. Awesome.

I have to admit that I've always kind of scorned CCR - something about hearing "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" fifty-thousand times before the age of 16 kind of let me to push them to the side. I obviously always loved Run Through the Jungle (Rising Storm 2 baby), but I have to admit that this album is really quite good. Unfortunately, John's voice is a tad rough for me - it's 5* perfect for what they we're doing, but I just can't quite sing along with it. Nevertheless, I'm going to give this album the respect it deserves.

Is this a greatest hits album? Crazy to think how many hits John Fogerty wrote in such a short period of time. Just hit after hit after hit here.

amazing album

Flawless

albumi kuultu jo ennestään.. ja hyvästä syystä. yksi parhaista albumeista koskaan tuotettu (underrrated gem alert). bluessia, rokkia ja folkkia löytyy ja kaikissa genreissä setti pysyy korkeimmalla tasolla... bändi ottanut vaikutteita ympäri amerikkaa, pääosin etelästä (going down south... to atlanta town???????? holy f*ck...). vaikka bändi on itse kaliforniasta HOLLYWOOD... KALIFORNIA HOLLYWOKE..... ALUEELTA... vitun helppo vitonen, vaikea päättää parasta biisiä. ainooa mikä vitutta oon VITTU HIPIT SAATAN HUUME HÖRHÖT KUNTELEE !!!!!! VITTU EI OLE TERVETTÄ SELLAINEN.... up around the bend

This album was a touch above amazing! I knew going in that CCR was awesome, but to then be blown away by the album. I have never put 8 songs down as bangerz. This is the most, may never be beaten. Nuff said. EASY 5! TBz 1. Run Through The Jungle 2. Who’ll Stop The Rain 3. Up Around The Bend 4. Lookin’ Out My Back Door 5. Ramble Tamble 6. I Heard It Through The Grapevine 7. Long As I Can See The Light 8. Travelin’ Band

Classic CCR lots of huts

Kickass chilled rock and roll vibe. Foundational , historic

masterpiece, like almost everything of CCR

Not my style usually but really enjoyed this! Good tempo and fun throughout

The opening chords of this had me smiling like a dummy, I just knew right away I was gonna be a fan. I had never actually listened to an entire CCR album but Bluesy jame Rick is right in my wheelhouse and therefore, this one is great. This band was built for summer festivals, I can only imagine the good vibes they brought on a sunny summer day to a big crowd in a field high off their tits. My only complaint would be that Grapevine should have closed this one out. Long As I Can See the Light, is a great tune but Grapevine just had the feel of an all time closer, oh well. 5 stars!

It’s CCR. What’s not to love?

Fantastic album, could almost be a greatest hits. Favorite track: Travelin' Band

V nice to revisit. my 13 y/o self loved this album. favorites were Lookin' Out My Backdoor, Travelin' Band, Up Around the Bend, and I Heard It Through The Grapevine. I sort of find CCR exhausting now, but they hold good mems. I could give this album SOME credit for molding my current music taste ; nasally men

I consider this one of the most underrated albums of the late 60s (yeah, it came out in 1970 but its a 60s album). A finer collection of roots rock you will not find.

5/5 perfect 70s Rock

All killer, no filler. John Fogerty’s originals are some of his very best, and the band breathes new life into the covers.

This is a comfort album, and my favorite CCR album. Hard to give this any other rating! I love it.

Cosmo’s is one the all time greatest albums, man it rocks

This almost plays like a greatest hits it has so many good songs! "I heard it through the grapevine" is a jam!

Jesus, this is good. I've obviously heard like 90% of these songs on their own since pretty much everything on this album is a super hit. But damn, this is one solid album. Also love that these guys from the East Bay were making such dirty swamp rock.

Their most confident and diverse album, this record takes heavy influence from rockabilly, country, soul, and blues, with hints of bluegrass an psychedelia dispersed. It's rhythmic and jammy, aligning with their signature swamp sound, capable of running songs more like 10 minutes without it coming off. Every song is fantastic, most of which are unique and memorable. Fagerty has distinctive enthusiastic rustic vocals that fit with the swampy aesthetic, with many catchy moments to sing to.

such a pick me up, transportation into another life before internet and crypto.. hit after hit. Exactly what you need on a grey day

Excelente. Do começo ao fim. Percebi que muitas músicas eu já conhecia. Meio exagerada a duração de "Heard it through the grapevine". Coisa da época talvez?

I love this. Reminds me of my brother discovering rock in the 70’s and me crushing on his best friend who lent him the album.

Strong, intriguing opening that kind of devolved into what I think of when I hear "sad 80s goth kid." Not completely without merit. But kind of tedious. 2.5

Oddball Americana story telling. The best comes at the end.

Not their best, but it's still damn good. Best track: Up Around the Bend

Obviously I didn't know what I was getting myself into when starting this gem, they really packed some heavy hitters in there it was like a Chris Brown convention. A perfect slice of folk rockabilly with a number of decade defining anthems. Favourite Tracks - Lookin' Out My Back Door, Run Through The Jungle, Who'll Stop The Rain, Heard It Through The Grape Vine

Holy cow, this is such a classic record!! And although I probably heard 3/4 of the album throught the years, the songs I didn't hear also really impressed me! This band is so locked in musically, insanely catchy melodies, some great riffs and licks, thumping basslines, groovy drums and ofcourse John Fogerty's raspy delivery! This band was one of the finest of those days! The length of this album is perfect too, it leaves no space for duds, yes, this album is all killer no filler. If I do have to say something that was left to be desires, it would be a better mix, some instruments get buried a bit and it could be more balanced Key tracks: ALL, but, Ramble Tamble, Travelin' Band, Lookin' Out My Back Door, Run Through The Jungle, Up Around The Bend, Who'll Stop The Rain and Long As I Can See The Light are the best!! 9 out of 10

Loved it, great rock and roll

QUALITY 10/10

Very good!

Great album with a lot of classic Creedence songs. Ooby Dooby is the only song that I don't think fit as it's a bit to rockabilly.

I mean, c'mon! This is one of the easiest 5 star ratings I'll ever give! It's so fucking good it makes me want to throw my life away and drive around smoking doobies, jamming to it everywhere my shitbox car will take me. The hallmark of a truly magnificent album: its gravitational pull is so powerful you lose all reason. It's an absolute masterpiece. A magnum opus. At the very least there was some witchcraft or a deal with the devil to make an album this fucking phenomenal. Outstanding!

ccr based

Wish I was alive when this album was released to hear it fresh! Great album, my fav is Long As I Can See the Light.

I'm sick of CCR on this list

Hit after hit after hit. Legendary.

overall impressions, i really liked this. really enjoyable instrumentals and vibe.

Creedence! Awesome album with a lot of hits! 'Lookin' Out My Back Door', 'Up Around The Bend', Who'll Stop The Rain' and 'I Heard It Through The Grapevine'. 5/5

Classic. Many familiar songs. My favorite is “Heard it Through The Grapevine.” Great strong bass rhythm. Hall of Fame for sure.

o melhor do creedence. e isso por si só já é um grande titulo

Love them

This album could literally be a Greatest Hits compilation. Every song on this is an absolute banger. A TON of CCRs classic can be found in this. HIGHLY recommend.

Good album….

My favorite CCR album. Absolutely amazing from beginning to end.

Marvellous - blistering distorted guitars, pounding, relentless rock and roll beat, soulful vocals and brilliant songwriting. I love John Fogerty.

The Dude never disappoints! PS: this one is their ultimate masterpiece.

Awesome album. So many classic CCR songs. A lot of bluesy rock songs too. I even liked the 10+ minute long rendition of I Heard It Through The Grapevine, and I usually am not a fan of overly long songs. Get some beers and head out to the beach, put this album on, and just cruise.

Not sure I had ever listened to this whole album, so some interesting deep tracks. CCR never disappoints.

Absolute banger after banger.

Just about every track is excellent. 1970, feels like a super authentic, expressive period for CCR. Heavier and most transparently blues influences, at least one blues cover on this one.

I thought I had every Creedence track I need on that *Chronicles vol 1* compilation. Including a very large part of the tracklisting of this particular record. At least half of it, actually. And then I heard "Ramble Tamble". Jesus Christ, what an album! ---- Number of albums left to review: 77 Number of albums from the list I find relevant enough to be mandatory listens: 116 (icluding this one) Albums from the list I *might* include in mine later on: 55 Albums from the list I will certainly *not* include in mine (many others are more important): 52

Old times rock & roll. Vinilazo.

It’s probably a 4.5, but I’m rounding up on this one due to the cover art. So much to say.

Great band truly one of the best

Awesome album, loved the beat on all songs

One great song after another!

Awesome album. Great music.

Amazing, this almost feels like a greatest hits album but it's not. The essence of CCR.

Long as I can see the light. Prachtig.

Brilliant

Masters

Amazing album. A couple throw away songs but the rest is outstanding. I actually really liked the first song on the album. Great riffs.

Outstanding

With all these double A-side singles that they released at the time ..practically every song has been an evergreen hit. Previously rated the Bayou Country album (5 stars), but I always liked this album even more. Great opening song and on this album the JF originals are miles better than the cover songs except for IHITTGV.

Banger

Cosmo Kramer's Factory

There's a reason for their popularity. This was a great album

Review #2 of 1001 Creedence Clearwater Revival is easily one of the most influential and talented bands of the 20th Century, and one of the most ubiquitous of what I'm calling the "Woodstock Rock" era of music. This album was incredible. 5/5

CCR FTW! Curious about the explicit tag Spotify gives My Baby Left Me.

It's just bloody fantastic

Well, I know a couple of CCR tracks from here and there, but never listened to this album before. It's actually really good - very rock & roll. Sure, there's some country-ish twankiness (you can leave off the T if you prefer) but overall, this is rock & roll front and centre. And it's pretty damn good. Up Around The Bend is just a brilliant track - the opening! Wow! Could listen to this all day.

Fun tunes and lots of hits

Love this one; a classic.

So many I knew didn’t realise were on this album

A bunch of the classics I love!

Des del blues rock de 'Before You Accuse Me' a la sensibilitat de 'Who'll Stop the Rain' o 'Long As I Can See the Light', tot és pura joia i inspiració desbordada pels quatre cantons

Another band I love like the eagles that I love their song but not familiar with the albums. Need to investigate them.

Good New Orleans swamp rockabilly played by folks who grew up in the suburban Bay Area. John Fogerty is a powerhouse vocalist and a fantastic guitar player. These songs are tight, well written, and a lot of fun to listen to. Most of these songs can be found on greatest hits compilations which really goes to show how great this album is. Creedence is accessible and commercial without the psychedelic rock trappings that alienated listeners in the late 60s and 70s. They are one of those bands who found a way to innovate within the genres that came before and carve out a unique sound that is solely their own.

I don't know how I had never heard this album before, but I'm glad I have now! Stylistically the songs are a bit all over yet it all feels cohesive. Killer album, easy 5/5 stars

Old times rock & roll. Vinilazo.

I was unaware just how short a window Creedence Clearwater Revival's existence was. They did a lot of amazing things in that time. This album is packed with great songs and awesome music, sounding like a true bridge between the birth of rock 'n' roll and the emerging 70s.

I do enjoy me some Creedence Clearwater Revival, at least every so often, but I think that I only ever listened to the Chronicle: The 20 Greatest Hits album...which more of half of this album contributed to. I was so pleased to discover some other gems on this album. Spent my time listening today bouncing in my seat and singing-along. On one track (My Baby Left Me), I could not resist clapping along. (Keep your hands on the steering wheel!!!) Great fun!

Boy, CCR sure knows how to start a song. Even songs that aren't my favorite, I hear the beginning and think, "Aw, yeah!" (e.g. Up Around the Bend). Most of the time, though, they follow through with a great song and exquisite guitar work. Part blues, part country, all bayou, and all rock-n-roll.

If you were to ask me to start naming Creedence Clearwater Revival songs at least five off this album likely would have come to mind. Several other songs on this album seemed familiar. So even though I don’t believe I have ever listened to this album, I have hoid most of it somewhere along the way. It’s remarkable that so many hits came from this album. Great, classic CCR.

Fantastic rock album. CCR never disappoints in their limited albums. This one has a couple covers and some absolute classics. Could listen to this album all day. Doherty has an amazing ability to belt out some solid swampy rock songs. The instrumentals are groovy, funky, and fun. It’s quick, cohesive, energetic. Probably their best album and collectively my favorite. Not much wrong with this. 8.7/10

Aware of the singles and the grooving Grapevine, my first impression is utter amazement at the brilliance of the opening song until it lingers just a little too long on one musical phrase before returning to the rocking first part again. Just awesome. I think Cosmo's shows distills the essence of CCR better than any of their preceding bluesy albums with elements of all their styles (rock n roll, blues, soul, country, "swamp" and psychedelic). I'll have to listen to their earlier albums again now, but I think this is my favourite CCR. Essential.

Un classique, c’est comme un best of pour etre franc cest un super album rock intemporel. 5

Most of your favorite Creedence songs are on this album, at least the ones you remember from the movies. I personally ride hard for "Ramble Tamble" and find "Who'll Stop The Rain" to be close to perfect. We should probably talk about the album cover, as we always should when it comes to Creedence. Yes, John is trying to be coy by hiding on the drum kit, but he's not fooling anyone. That's his subtle way of letting the world know he's responsible for everything on this album. I'm guessing this is the only picture of actual drummer Doug Clifford on a ten-speed bicycle. I can't even get into his outfit. I'm blaming John Fogerty for that fashion faux pas. Doug Clifford deserved better. Fuck it, that wife beater over a short sleeve shirt pushes this thing to a 5 with a bullet.

I grew up on CCR so I knew I was going to enjoy this album. It wasn't AMAZING or LIFE-CHANGING but it still gets a 4.5 from me, which I'll probably round up to a 5 on this scale. I didn't know Ramble Tamble, but it's opening had my interest from the get-go. Favorite songs are Travelin Band, Lookin Out My Back Door, and Up Around the Bend. (Update- I can tell I love this album because I've put it on as background music twice :) I'll bump the score up to a straight 5.)

I knew the hits of course, but the rest of this album is just as if not more amazing.

Great album top to bottom

Putting on a Creedence record is like answering the door to an old friend. Except this old friend still manages to surprise. If you haven't heard them for a while it's easy to forget how great Fogerty's voice is. The wonderful thing about Cosmo's Factory is that it's littered with hits, but the less well known songs are also brilliant. It has variety, it rocks, it has several killer riffs. There is one fault: Why is Heard It Through the Grapevine so long? Ramble Tamble is long, but it never bores. Creedence did the best version of Grapevine (that riff alone, let alone the vocal). The first coda is fine, but they needed to stop. Doesn't stop it getting five stars.

Absolutely outstanding, John Fogerty knew what the hell he was doing.

There isn't a bad song on this. Actually, nothing short of "fucking great". Am I about to hand out two 5s in a row? I think so! exciting times. 5/5.

I was just a lad in 6th grade when, during a school assembly in the auditorium, we were treated to a performance of three numbers by a quartet of upperclassmen 8th graders. I think their name was similar to the 1960s psychedelic blues band, Blue Cheer (coincidentally based out of San Francisco, same as Creedence.) I cannot recall the other two songs the boys played, but I will never forget their closer: ‘Proud Mary.’ The minute I heard the opening riff, I was spellbound. Lord, I wanted to be in that band. It was all I could do not to jump on stage, body check the singer, and grab the mic myself. And while ‘Proud Mary’ is not featured on 'Cosmo’s Factory,' a shitload of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s other hits sure are, and just as good. There are more hits off this LP than there are mosquitos in the bayou at dusk. Out of the eleven songs, no less than six were hit singles. And if you throw in ‘I Heard It Through the Grapevine,’ that totals seven. And, with the exclusion of ‘Ramble Tamble,’ every single song on 'Cosmo’s Factory' written by band leader John Fogerty was a hit. Every single one! Just let that sink in for a moment. One of the main reasons why I rarely listen to our local ‘classic rock’ radio station these days is because of the programmer’s insistence on taking artists like Creedence, picking just a few of their hits, and playing them over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. I’ve heard ‘Lookin’ Out My Backdoor’ so many times I don’t really like it that much anymore. It’s a good song, but it’s suffered from overexposure. So, when I listened to 'Cosmo’s Factory' in its entirety, I was unexpectedly and pleasantly surprised at how great the non-hits are. The overplayed-hit-single Creedence I’ve grown a little weary of was born again while listening to the non-hit Creedence offerings, like the two late 50s/early 60s rockabillies ‘Ooby Dooby’ and ‘My Baby Left Me,’ or the traditional blues number, ‘Before You Accuse Me,’ or Motown’s ‘I Heard It Through the Grapevine.’ Marvin Gaye had a bit of success with this one, too, for those of you who are hip to that genre. Creedence is a genuinely fine band. Don’t be fooled by their seemingly simple sound. While they may come across as loose, unrehearsed even- like the Rolling Stones- they are most certainly not! In fact, the LP’s title is a reference to how long and hard Fogerty near daily rehearsed his band, inspiring drummer Doug ‘Cosmo’ Clifford to dub the rehearsal space, ‘The Factory.’ And while the band may have suffered under their taskmaster, 'Cosmo’s Factory' sure benefited. ‘Course, Fogerty himself is really the star shining brightest. Oh me, oh my, that swampy, filthy mud-caked waders vibe he gets on his heavily reverbed guitar is as signature a sound as B.B. King’s or Jimi Hendrix’s or Neil Young’s or Eddie Van Halen’s. When 'Cosmo’s Factory' opens with ‘Ramble Tamble,’ and the listener hears that guitar, there is no question who’s putting pick to strings. And wow, that opening number: beginning with a slow, brackish groove before then launching into double time and then a rambling tambling ‘down the road’ we go! The next number, ‘Before You Accuse Me,’ reveals Fogerty not only playing down and dirty blues on his guitar, but piano as well. Who knew he played piano? Or saxophone?! That’s right, on the final, ‘Long as I Can See the Light,’ Fogerty does a nice little sax solo, too. Three songs, three comments: 1) ‘Run Through the Jungle,’ referencing the Vietnam war in which America found itself entrenched in the year 1970. Again, I’ve heard this hit a zillion times, but I was struck this time by the poetic lyrics (yes, Fogerty is a talented writer, as well): ‘Over on the mountain, thunder magic spoke. Let the people know my wisdom. Fill the land with smoke.’ The devil was most certainly on the loose, and Fogerty is radioing the soldiers to get their ass outta there, di di mau, run through the jungle, and ‘don’t look back to see.’ It’s hard to imagine any veteran of the Vietnam war not vividly recalling their own experience upon hearing this song. Very powerful. Evoking an emotion such as this is song writing at its finest. 2) ‘Long as I Can See the Light,’ features rhythm guitarist Tom Fogerty and bassist Stu Cook on harmony duties complimenting Fogerty’s melody, but in the spirit of full SATB parts, including a prominent bass harmony, something rarely, if ever, heard in rock music, and more often in a church congregation singing old gospel standards. 3) ‘I Heard It Through the Grapevine,’ clocking in at eleven minutes, the last eight of which are Creedence just jammin’ away like their fellow San Franciscan mates, Grateful Dead. The snobby music critic Ralph Gleason wrote that Creedence is an example of the Third Generation of San Francisco bands,’ with the meaning that they weren’t as good as the Dead, for example. And Creedence was definitely doing something very different from the other bay bands (Jefferson Airplane, Quicksilver Messenger Service, and the like.) But their cover of ‘Grapevine’ may be understood as a big ‘fuck you’ to Gleason. We can jam, too, just like the acid rockers; but, in our own way. And that, and everything else about this terrific LP allows me to replace my middle finger likewise extended to Gleason with a more positive thumb up for Creedence and 'Cosmo’s Factory.'

Great album! So many different styles on one record.

Brilliant album. Run Through The Jungle, and THAT version of Grapevine.

Um clássico, imperdível.

Some music brings back strong memories. This was the soundtrack to a long weekend out of town. It was one of those experiences that makes me thankful that we didn't kill anyone from stupid teenage boy antics. This album was heard many times over many years.

a great rock and roll record - a wonderful band, fantastic arrangements and dynamics, glorious guitar parts that you can sing and one of the greatest voices in rock & roll

CCR!!!!!

Oh hell to the yes, CCR is my jam. Their blend of blues rock and folk/soul hits this beautiful sweet spot for me - I think some refer to their music as "americana". This record just keeps on grooving throughout the track list. While it's not my favorite of CCR's catalogue, there's some great hits here, along with a long version of Heard It Through The Grapevine which I hadn't heard before. I think where this group really strikes a chord (haha because get it?) with me is the songwriting and vocal style. Something about their lyrics and style has always drawn me in, and Fogerty's delivery of these lyrics is incredible, I absolutely love his style.

Really great shit. I love this album.

We all love CCR in my house. This is probably their most fun record on the whole. It's still got some heavy hitters though, like "Run Through The Jungle" and "Long As I Can See the Light." They really make "Heard It Through the Grapevine" their own too. I'd listen to this nearly anytime.

Not a huge classic rock guy, but I can certainly appreciate a legendary album. So many iconic songs on this one.

Pieza de colección. Hippies buena vibra.

Tons of Bangers on this one.

Just the best

The whole album’s vocals and music comforts a cosy part of my brain.

so many great songs

Cosmo's Factory is the fifth album of Creedence Clearwater Revival. The only bad part of the album is the album cover photo. I've read the background story and still not get the joke. The music itself is fantastic with great soulful rock. Classics like "Who'll Stop the Rain", "Up Around the Bend", "Long as I Can See the Light" and of course a sublime cover of "I Heard It Through the Grapevine".

Some of my favorite songs on this album.

Very few make rock music like the Creedence Clearwater Revival. Just a really good album, indeed.

Classic

Have You Ever Seen the Rain. Además, me gustó lo variado del disco: desde rockabilly hasta swamp rock incluyendo unos covers muy bien hechos.

9/10, masterpiece OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DOWN THE ROAD I GO

Really great album. Nice and groovy.

A definite classic-- nice to hear the songs that I had known before collected in an album.

Easy 5 stars. Love the blues influence all over the album (and in the covers)

Good tunez. Favorite tracks are Ramble Tamble and I Heard It Through the Grapevine

A great album! Just some really great rock and roll music. I like it a lot. I'm probably biased because of my love for classic rock, but I really liked this one.

All the songs are very good and the bests are originals.

Теперь понятно откуда взялась моя любимая музыка: Black Keys, Jack White, Arctic Monkeys, и даже кое где Radiohead

Loved it

Amazing album. Fogerty is an absolute genius. His voice and guitar work make CCR sound like many genres at once, almost creating their own style of rock.

Know and love CCR. Some really great classics on this album. It almost feels like a Greatest Hits album, but it isn't. This is a solid 5/5. Classic. Love it.

Fun guitar stuff in Ramble Tamble. I've never heard a bad version of Before You Accuse Me - this one didn't disappoint either. It's hard to cover a song, stay so true to the original, and still make it your own. The same thing goes for Grapevine. It's country, folk, blues, rock - uniquely and unmistakably CCR.

Outstanding collection of songs!

Hit after hit after hit. It almost got a 4 from me just because it's super dated and, at times, kinda cheesy, but it's just so dang fun.

No skips all bops

I grew up listening to CCR. If you want to hear all of their very best songs, just listen to this album.

Great album with lots of hits. Knew this one already.

Wonderful guitar riffs. A true classic to come back to again.

Excellent album. CCR is legendary

Das beste Album bis jetzt. Wahnsinn, wie viele Klassiker da drauf sind. Absoluter Hit: 11 Minuten Heard it through the Grapevine

Light rock. Some good guitar solos. Lots of CCR's hits.

Some of my favorite jams on this one

Just fantastic. Anthems of the time, like a time warp. Forrest Gump, lebowski, like soundtracks dedicated to this album

In grade nine, I used to come home from school and listen to this entire album, every day on my father's "stereo". A combination of killer songs written by guitarist and lead vocalist John Fogerty, combined with some interesting cover songs (I Heard it Through the Grapevine), this is the single best CCR record from their relatively short, but illustrious career. I still love every one of these songs.

Forgerty in ‘69-‘70 was just churning out gold. This may be their best album end to end.

Buen álbum

Old school cool and classic credence. Love it!

My dad’s kind of music, brought back memories

Great Bayou album

god damn i love CCR. I listened to this album and then like 2 others so i hope they come up soon

Oldie, goodie!

Loving the vibe.

CCR, aka CLASSIC Classic Rock. Just wanna be stoned in someone’s barn listening to this. Love all the extended jams.

southern rock at it's finest right here. i'm so inclined to give it a 5 just off of their rendition of "Heard It Through The Grapevine" alone!

Classic

Big fan of ccr . This album has a lot of what made them really popular. After the chaos of the album, that last song really tied us all together.

It was a great album!

AK: Great tunes!

tia mi picchia

CCR is classic and have never put out a bad album. (We don't talk about 'Mardi Gras'.) Favorite tracks: "Travelin' Band", "Heard It Thru the Grapevine", "Before You Accuse Me"

Just banger after banger and some excellent filler. This is an awesome example of their work and a great album.

Songs like their greatest hits to me. Great swamp rock album.

A rollicking good time! 8, maybe 9 all-time classics. Immediately redolent of the Vietnam War era in American popular culture - a band that soundtracked a generation.

Really good groovy album it is such a great ambiance

Surprisingly better than I thought.

Sick opening song, was just imagining what it must have been like at festivals to trip and hear this going on. No one is making music as gritty as this these days. Didn't know up around the bend was ccr. Overall super solid album, kinda touched a part of me that I didn't know could be touched.

I'm not a huge CCR fan, but I know all of their hit songs. I was amazed at how many hit songs there are on this one album. Just for that alone, this album is worthy of being on the list. While CCR is not a band I'd seek out to listen to, I really enjoyed this one. Even though the music had their distinct sound to it, the songs were varied and interesting. I won't add it to my regular playlist, but it was a good solid listen this afternoon (which I really needed after the trainwreck of an album I listened to yesterday).

By all rights that voice should be annoying, it has all the hallmarks of an annoying voice. But man is this fun to listen to. Id never heard the whole album and I wish I had sooner. Originally locked in to a 5 but the buZ wore off a little bit. 4.6

I wonder if the list of albums has a bit of clustering in the albums. I understand that Creedence Clearwater Revival was an incredibly influential band. But three albums within 119 albums? "Ramble Tamble" is a bit of a slog to get through. But putting a 7 minute song up front on your album is always a bit of a gamble. The style is a bit mixed with "Before you accuse me" being a classic 12 bar blues style song. Then "Travelin' band" is a full on rock and roll song. I didnt think that I knew any of the songs on this album. With the exception of the cover of "I heard it through the grapevine". Which I expected to be one of those, 'I didnt realise that was originally a Creedence song'. It isnt, but 'I didnt realise that was originally a Gladys knight and the pips song'. But I did know "Up around the bend" and "Ooby Dooby" from Star Trek First Contact. Overall, I think that I enjoyed this swamp rock classic. (3.500)

This is pretty good. I like CCR, no nonsense, straightforward, catchy, radio friendly rock. Kind of like the Oasis of the 60s if they were being country blues instead of The Beatles. A few classics on here, Looking out my backdoor, Run through the jungle, Up around the bend, Who'll stop the rain... some of the best songs of the era. A bit of filler here and there, but it's fun filler. Very enjoyable album, one of their best.

An album that 100% deserves a higher rating just because of the number of iconic tracks it has. Side 2 is chock full

Fun album, lots of heavyweights on here.

I really enjoyed this album. Its straightforward blend of rock, blues, and country suited my taste perfectly. While Lookin’ Out My Back Door is probably the best-known song, my favorite tracks were Run Through the Jungle, with its great opening guitar, Up Around the Bend, with its memorable riff, and I Heard It Through the Grapevine, whose hypnotic groove and atmosphere kept me completely engaged.

Let’s see how 60’s this 1970 album is… Yeah, not feeling this today. It’s going to ooby dooby to a 3 probably because I don’t want it. I mean undeniably well played. Just… can we go home now? Oh? Run through the Jungle- yeah, maybe we can stay for the rest of the set. That plucked bass intro on My Baby Left Me was very cool. Wow. The second half is actually kicking this up to a 4! That’s impressive given my mood. And this version of Heard It Through the Grapevine IS good, because of that bass and drum combo, yeah… they let that be full and gave it proper space a couple times. That bass. But Marvin’s version is definitive for me. Still, I am actually in a better mood after listening than I was when I started. Good on you Creedence. 4 Boolean: True

Another great selection of songs, a few of which have long been classic rock staples

Some absolute classics

Can’t go wrong with a credence tape

Quite like a bit of creedence.

Another ablum I've heard of but never listened to all the way through. So many great classic songs. It's hard to pick a favorite and fogertys voice just makes you want to sing along. So many albums from the 70s so far 5/8 and I think those years were either 1970 or 1975.

Love CCR!

The best “uncool” band. Raw and groove. 4 Star

приятно, знакомо, хорошо - 4

The superior CCR! Great album.

ramble tamble: there's a very distinctly 60s-70s sound to this song, im not sure how i feel. if it were harder rock OR had less of an aggressive beat i think id like it more idk though. part at 2mins is cool. ok lowkey rly cool song the way the instrumental section represents his hope in moving somewhere new and goes back to the same as before, back in poverty. 80 before you accuse me: has a fun vibe to it. turns out it's a cover so not gonna cover lyrics. interesting song choice though. 60 travelin' band: super simple lyrically but super good i see why this one is so popular. it sounds like it could be in a movie about the 70s its just so distinct. 87 ooby dooby: what a name. ok its like. fine. kinda cool sounding. 70 lookin' out my back door: so this is about a circus appearing in your backyard. sure ok yeah we're just doing whatever now. aw wait he wrote it for his 3 year old thats cute. 73 run through the jungle: oh this song is cool. it was often interpreted as being a vietnam protest song but the writer said its about how gun crazy americans were getting. cool one. 92 up around the bend: hell yeah just a fun song about saying fuck city life lets live in the middle of nowhere. i fw this. 90 my baby left me: super upbeat song about heartbreak. lowkey the quality on the recording of this song isnt as clear as the others. 65 who'll stop the rain: incredible song seemingly about foggerty's experience with getting drafted for vietnam and his loss of control over his life due to the war. 95 i heard it through the grapevine: vocally the most interesting song so far. lyrics touch on the narrator feeling the negative effects of toxic masculinity. overarching song is about getting cheated on, though its an extension to an already written song so i dont think the lyrics are personal. fun instrumentals but a bit too long tbh. 55 long as i can see the light: much slower and more chill than the other songs on the album and i LOVE it it's so good. lyrically sonically everything it's great. THE SAXOPHONES ARE GETTING LOUDER THROUGHOUT OH MY GOD. 99 overall: 79 / 4 stars. great album, some incredible songs, and some im probably never gonna listen to again. really enjoyable though.

muito bom, uma 'novidade" muito bem vinda

classic

I realize the chooglin' jams are to flesh things out and provide variety, but the short songs are so good. The 6 short classics take up as much time as the two jams. Heard it a million times as a young'un (born in '64), but songs like "Up around The Bend" still crackle with energy.

I really really really like this album. Closer to a FIVE than a THREE.

Not sure if it’s creedence’s best album, but it’s certainly a really good one no matter how you slice it. “Ooby Dooby” is kind of a funny filler song, It’s like “I didn’t wanna write lyrics to this so I’m just gonna do a Little Richard impression with two words”- ripping off Good Golly Miss Molly. Favorites: Travelin Band, Run Through the Jungle, Up Around the Bend, Ramble Tamble (at least 4 mins of it or so) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Classic rock. I enjoy a lot of theur songs from other albums as well.

As much as I don't like country, the country influence on CCR does not befront me. I guess it's more blues, but with a rock forward approach, I dig the sound.

A few classics in the middle of this album make it well worth a listen. The Dude has good taste.

In high school I had this CCR Greatest Hits CD that I would play in my car all the time as I drove around town. About half the songs on this album were on that CD and they all still bang - Travelin' Band has amazing energy, Run Through the Jungle is a classic anti-war track, Up Around the Bend has a legendary riff, etc. However there's a reason why the other half of the songs on here were NOT on that Greatest Hits CD because.... woof.

9 Recomienden mas de estos

I recognize a bunch of these tracks by name, but have never listened to this album start-to-finish. This was alright. I'm not a huge CCR fan, but this felt a bit like it covers quite a bit of their Greatest Hits. "Ramble Tamble" and "I Heard it Through the Grapevine" were a bit too long for their own good (which is kind of a shame for the latter track). It's good but not great, and I'm happy I listened to it, but I don't think it rises to the level of adding it to my list of albums to listen to again.

Nice. Added to mega shuffle

I always have a good time with creedence. They don’t miss. The Dude, as always, was so tapped in fr

CCR are one of those bands where you can put on their entire discography and just let it run. No friction, no skipping, no wondering when it gets good. Cosmo's Factory is that feeling in album form — "Proud Mary", "Have You Ever Seen the Rain", "Up Around the Bend" all sitting there like they've always existed. The Battlefield Vietnam connection is real: this music was everywhere in that game, playing through speakers while things burned, and somehow it fit. Summer vacation with friends. Windows down. No one asking what we were listening to because no one needed to. 4/5 — not trying to be more than it is, which is exactly what makes it great.

Strong guitar driven album with incomparable feel good feeling. Especially liked "Ramble Tamble" with its instrumental interlude. Some more ordinary rock'n'roll and blues numbers keep the album from being truly excellent. 3.5/5 - strong

Zäher Einstieg, danach mega

lotta good ccr here basically ccr covers and songs that sound like they could be covers but maybe aren't 💥lookin out my back door 💥run through the jungle 💥up around the bend 💥i heard it through the grapevine

I like this album, I like CCR...that said, the problem with this list is we don't need every CCR or Aerosmith or Led Zeppelin album. I will say this is their best record so I'll give it the 4 stars it deserves but they need an updated list that isn't so classic rock heavy

A few notes: -I always had the impression, and I don’t know where it came from, that CCR was one of those rare bands where the Greatest Hits is better than the albums. So while I know the music of CCR reasonably well, I’ve never heard an entire album by them. -Now having listened to an entire album by them, I am not sure how to assess the idea of them being a greatest hits band. -CCR is one of those bands that has been so ubiquitous in depictions of Vietnam War-era America that I find it impossible to disentangle the music itself from the way it was introduced to me through movies and TV. -For something that seems so of its era, it’s strangely backwards looking, from the reference to Buck Owens in “Lookin’ Out My Back Door”, to the Motown of their “I Heard it Through the Grapevine”, or the old time rock n roll of “Oobie Doobie.” And then on the other hand there’s the psychedelia of “Ramble Tamble” that sounds more forward-looking than the other songs. “Ramble Tamble” was my favorite of the songs on the album. -CCR are just such a good sounding band. John Fogerty has one of rock’s great voices and the entire band just sounds good, it’s gritty, it’s no nonsense.

En oo SeeSeeÄrrääkään kuunnellu, mutta olihan siellä tuttuja biizejä. Oikeinkin mukavaa muzaa.

All the hits...what else there is to say. If you like CCR, you love this.

son blues, bien rock n roll, j’aime bcp la batterie bien entraînante, la voix aussi est trop bien, ils sont trop forts

Much better than your standard noodly 70s mush.

This band is great.

I've had this record for 25 years and never realized it wasn't Cosmos Factory. I liked that misunderstanding better. :) Up Around the Bend is in my top 5 CCR songs. There are many solid tracks on here, including Ramble Tamble and Lookin' Out My Back Door. I tend to like the originals more than the covers.

Not a big CCR fan; I find some of Fogerty's lyrics annoying and stupid, and his voice grates a bit. But this is pretty solid. Put Fortunate Son and Proud Mary on it and it would have most of their best, I think.

4/5 - It's hard to get over the amount of hits CCR produced in such a short span of time. I don't feel like they are often mentioned with the greats of this era, but they definitely belong. Fogerty's voice is a like a big bowl of comfort food for me.

Top tier. Vietnam war music on kyllä aivan omassa luokassaan. Run trough the jungle on yks all time lemppareista

The singles and hits on here are INCREDIBLE. The album tracks, particularly the covers, are good but pale greatly in comparison. That’s what brings this down from a 5 star to a 4. But still excellent

delicious. finally, some good fucking food

Very good, listened to it many times! 4.5

"Lookin' out My Back Door" has been one of my favorite songs for basically as long as I can remember and makes me happy as hell. That's like deep-ingrained shit from when I was 3 years old at the very least. "Who'll Stop the Rain" is ARGUABLY the best CCR song with rain in the title. "Long as I Can See the Light" is one of the best album closers ever and there's also a really good MMJ cover of it from 2013 or so in collab with John Fogerty that was in heavy rotation the summer after I finished high school

I really dig CCR but haven’t listened to any of their albums in full — this was a treat. I hit play without seeing the track list, so it was fun hearing the songs that I recognized in the middle of this record. The run of songs starting from Lookin Out My Back Door are especially good.

Really great album. Some all time classics on here. There seems to be a lot of 50s rock influences in quite a few songs with the guitars and the vocals.

I don't think I'm feeling a record that's this sexy right now. Favourite Track(s): Tainted Love Least Favourite Track(s): Sex Dwarf

Album #161 Creedence Clearwater Revival: Cosmo’s Factory Creedence Clearwater Revival are a band who exist in and out of the zeitgeist. Of course, they are one of the most famous bands of all-time; however, it almost feels as though their songs are more renowned than themselves as a band. Everyone knows Bad Moon Rising, Fortunate Son, and Proud Mary, but I feel like Creedence themselves are never brought up amongst the greatest classic rock band discussions. Perhaps it’s because their name is a mouthful, but I feel like it also has to do with the fact that, to the general public, they never really had that iconic album. Pink Floyd had Dark Side of the Moon, The Who had Who’s Next, Led Zeppelin had Led Zeppelin IV, Hendrix had Are You Experienced?, and all of the classic rock staples have that one album that even the most casual listener can name. Whereas for CCR, they are almost seen as a singles band, which is really a shame. Of course, those in the know give them the respect they deserve as album artists, and in fact, I would even stake the claim here that this album, Cosmo’s Factory, is the band’s contribution that can stand up to any classic rock album. What made Creedence huge was their short swamp rockers that had simple yet iconic hooks, and vocals straight out of the Bayou; and on their other albums, that is the status quo. However, on Cosmo’s Factory, the band proves their diversity by including two lengthy guitar epics in I Heard It Through The Grapevine, and my favourite, Ramble Tamble. The opener specifically has some of the finest guitar work I’ve ever heard. It isn’t foreign for Creedence to include a longer jam; however, at least in my opinion, the longer tracks would traditionally be weak points, whereas on Cosmo’s Factory, they are standouts. That, combined with a slew of Creedence’s most iconic songs, all of which would not feel out of place on a greatest hits album, makes this album one of the easiest listens I’ve had on this list so far, and by far Creedence’s most coherent album. The three-track run of Lookin’ Out My Back Door, Run Through The Jungle, and Up Around The Bend alone would be enough to warrant a spot on this list; add to that tracks like Who’ll Stop The Rain, Travelin’ Band, and Long As I Can See The Light, and you’ve got one of the greatest albums of all time. I can’t blame The Dude for trying to hunt down those Creedence tapes, man. Best Songs: Up Around The Bend, Ramble Tamble, Who’ll Stop The Rain Worst Song: Ooby Dooby Score out of 10: 9.5

You know those albums you feel like you’ve known your whole life? I can’t say I’ve ever knowingly listened to this entire album, but I knew nearly every song. This leads me to believe I definitely listened to it in utero and during childhood as well. Listening to it felt like putting on an old, comfy blanket. What a treat. I can’t say much else about it because it’s darn near perfection. It’s a 4.5 for me, teetering close to 5.

Not my favorite CCR record (Willy & The Poor Boys) but it's not their worst (Mardi Gras). "Lookin' Out My Backdoor" and "Who'll Stop the Rain" are lifelong faves. New discoveries include the very beautiful Jam/Country Rock opener Jam "Ramble Tamble", "I Heard It Through the Grapevine", and "Long As I Can See The Light"

Hell yeah brother gimme that rag tag down home vibe that only CCR can gimme. The only reason it's not a 5 is some of the covers; all the original songs are bangers and the jam on "Heard it Through the Grapevine" is quintessential. Good stuff from everyone's favorite bar band.

Good album, enjoyed it all the way through and I already knew a few of the songs. Seems like a solid and pretty packed album.

Banging rock album which was made better coming right after Rolling Stones's Beggars Banquet which had a couple hits and a ton of forgettable blues cosplaying. This was more southern cosplaying but at least it was stacked with hits

VEry groovy, good background for a dinner party (upbeat, good vibes)

Enjoyable late 60s early 70s rock. Great voice

I liked the album. It's something I can listen to with my family or have a dance party to. I don't know how much I would listen to it by myself, but maybe that will change now.

Creedence Clearwater Revival’s Cosmos Factory kicks off with "Ramble Tamble," a high-tempo rockabilly track with a great change of pace, a drawn-out midsection, and vocals like a drunk guy walking down the road. It slides into the kinda funny "Before You Accuse Me" and the 50s rock and roll time-capsule "Travelin' Band," followed by the distinct 50s dance vibe of "Ooby Dooby." The album then switches to country vibes on "Looking Out My Back Door" before taking a dark turn with the creepy-sounding "Run Through the Jungle" and "My Baby Left Me," where the upbeat music doesn't quite suit the message. The record peaks with "Who'll Stop the Rain," a beautiful song featuring smooth guitar strumming and the album's best melody and harmonies. Their cover of "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" is a really good track with a distinct bassline, great vocals, and solid conga percussion, though it runs way too long and misses some potential despite a good finish. Finally, "Long As I Can See the Light" offers a nice, jazz-flavored conclusion. Ultimately, the band's talent for genre shifts shines through a strong start and finish; despite a weaker middle section and a muddy recording quality, it remains a pretty decent album overall at 4/5.

ooby dooby what more is there to say

Listening to CCR is always a reminder to me of how great these records really are. I’m not the biggest fan of Fogerty’s voice, but the songs are undeniable.

great album. fun and great lyrics:) i shall listen to it more so i can truly share my opinion. but there is very good music in here.

Some great songs, John has an amazing voice.

Pretty ok

This is such a classic album. I had no idea so many solid songs were on it. I liked the originals a lot more than the covers. Liked Songs Added: Lookin' Out My Back Door Run Through The Jungle Up Around The Bend Who'll Stop The Rain

It was good! Not my usual genre but I would listen to it again.

Fun and folksy. Knew a couple of songs from my dad. Enjoyable but not earth shattering but some good musicianship and you can feel the energy from the band

Classic 70’s swamp rock 2 or 3 generic blues numbers that let it down, but also 2 or 3 all time classics. Favourite track: looking out my back door

Me gusto, normalmente no me gustan tanto los albumes instrumentales, pero este fue muy interesante de escuchar

not something i’d listen to normally but really good it’s one of the classics for sure

5/5 Pretty good. Found out like 4 of the songs from this album are played regularly at work.

Ccr ei petä. On tiukkaa settiä.

Some of the lesser known cliches about New Zealanders are that we love station wagons, Tool, and of course Creedence Clearwater Revival. My grandma used to just blast Creedence any chance she’d get. Big nostalgia hit on this one.

The long songs on this were a fricking jam. I listened to the opening track 3 times. Some of CCR stuff can be repetitive, especially with their shorter boogie songs but a very decent listen.

Personal Enjoyment overall: medium to high Replay? for specific moods, but yeah Stand out: Run Through the Jungle

Jammin'

Crunchy bayou rock… hell yes. Album doesn’t have the huge hits, but it doesn’t need them. 4.2

Que entretenido es el old time rock and roll

I think this might have one of the greatest covers of all time that I’d never heard before. I heard it through the grapevine originally by Marvin Gaye is a timeless classic. Who knew that putting bluesy guitar with it would elevate the song to a different level. Chefs kiss. The rest of the album is pretty good too but had to get my thoughts out about grapevine

Great album with great singles. Peak dad rock.

Almost a 5. A national treasure.

Most of their best songs are on this album, which is incredible. Great mix of uptempo songs and a few ballads. They are truly great southern blues/rock musicians. 4/5 Will listen again

Found news songs that I like!!

4/5 Bueno

A classic, by the time of its release CCR had established themselves as swamp rock giants and this album was a huge success, spawning a number of big singles. Run Through The Jungle and Up Around The Bend are favourites.

Approachable, genial and the sort of band that makes you think you could have been in it. Not that they sound amateurish, per se, but there is a simplicity to the arrangements that anyone who was ever in a garage band can relate to and an obvious fondness for the various styles (Motown, Little Richard, Buck Owens, etc) that they adapt to their needs. The difference, of course, as with the Replacements, is the presence of a generational songwriter whose earworms are the kind you can sing along with before the first chorus finishes. Interestingly, this album also includes two extended almost Crazy Horse-style jams which really help bring a cohesion to the record.

While my top CCR songs are from a different album, the vibes are present with this album too.

Skvělé, tak jako zbytek tvorby od CCR.

Solid album with a lot of classic tracks. There is a little nostalgia bump but this is a 4 all day for me.

As hard as blues rock gets. Some of this has been spoiled for me by commercials but I can still sense the greatness that would have come across hearing this when it first dropped.

One of my dad's favorites. Absolute dad-core classic. Something you get familiar with despite having never sought it out specifically. I must admit to having a fondness for the folksy and RnB tinged tracks. "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" and "Up Around the Bend" are highlights.

Bangers

Doo, doo, doo, looking out my back door. Some classic songs on one album, and some proper swamp rock.

Este álbum me da vibes a pasto, calor, vacas y caballos, bien del sur de Estados Unidos. Es un disco simple, pero transmite esa sensación de estar en movimiento o viajando, como si estuvieras yéndote lejos de casa

CCR is always a good time

Cosmo’s Factory has manufacture some excellent songs on this album, several good originals and some decent covers. The CA Raisins just killed it with Heard It Through the Grapevine which we always thought was a CCR original. The album improves as it progresses, and the B Side is just loaded. Is this just a park? Looks great. L = (3.75*s) all songs, good, except Ooby Dooby as weak link. J = (4.1*s) Long As I Can See The Light has long been a CCR favorite.

CCR continues to age like a fine wine. Always liked them, but the more I listen to them the more I appreciate them. Not sure how they managed to do it but they established such a unique sound while keeping so much of what they do simple. Their sound has a very defined signature that only so many bands have been able to establish and it just works. I enjoy so many of their quick hits, but definitely appreciated the longer jams included on Cosmo's factory. Quick chords, fun beats and riffs with a dash of the swamp rock lyrics that make their tunes so catchy and fun from start to finish. Great entry by Creedence here. Those swamp rock boys sure know how to write a tune. 3.69 stars

This is an absolute all-time classic from one of the most essential American bands ever. While listening I felt a flood of emotions — joy, nostalgia, energy, a bit of sadness, pure rock ‘n’ roll excitement… too many to even name them all. It just hits you right in the chest. John Fogerty is a straight-up god on this record. His voice is raw and powerful, his guitar riffs are sharp and unforgettable, and the songwriting is on another level. Not a single bad song here. From the swampy groove of “Ramble Tamble” to the fiery “Travelin’ Band,” the laid-back “Lookin’ Out My Back Door,” the heartbreaking “Who’ll Stop the Rain,” and the epic closer “Long As I Can See the Light” — every track delivers. The whole album feels alive, tight, and full of that classic CCR swagger. It’s rootsy, energetic, and somehow both fun and deeply emotional at the same time. If you want to hear why Creedence Clearwater Revival are legends, this is the perfect place to start (or revisit). Pure American rock greatness from start to finish. No skips, no filler — just excellence.

I had only heard their greatest hits until I heard this. I don't think there are many differences with the other songs on the album. A good solid album. Not really sure why it's on this list.
