Red Headed Stranger

I tend to avoid Country music as I’ve always felt it was one of the worst genres, a brief listen to some of this album confirmed my bias. Awful.

Aïe, très mauvaise semaine pour moi, avec beaucoup de folk/country que je n'apprécie pas et mauvaise pop ... Artiste inconnu. Morceaux et album très court, mais c'est une vrai corvée pour moi, même si quelques chorus de guitare sont sympathiques. J'ai arrêté avant la fin. => 1/5

wowee, this is pretty lame. What is Willie doing here? These songs are so sleepy. The lack of song structure doesn't subvert anything, it just makes it hard to get into.

I’ve never been a fan of Willie Nelson, and Red Headed Stranger didn’t change that for me. While I can appreciate its place in music history, I found the album quite slow and unengaging. It just didn’t hold my attention, and I won’t be revisiting it.

Just say no to country & western kids.

Too old and boring sound for me

Listen, if I was about 70 years old, and LOVED country, I would like this. However, I HATE country music with a passion, especially THIS type of country music. Willie Nelson is cool and all I guess, but I can’t wifh the music.

Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain is lovely, but Nelson just isn’t my cup of tea. Not sure what part of my life a Willie Nelson song could be useful for.

Nah, not my thing. I will say, though, some of the guitar work was nice - e.g. I Couldn't Believe It Was True. It wouldn't be an album I'd put on and listen to, so for that reason it's a 1 star for Willie.

1/5 - The first 2/3's is so slow. W/ the last four tracks being slightly worse than mediocre, but a very welcome change of pace for someone that has listened to the whole album in one sitting. I don't know, I typically have really enjoyed every Willie song I've come across in my life, but this album does not do it at all for me. The only bit i enjoyed was the first 45 seconds of "Time of the Preacher" - which is the first 45 seconds of the album. It starts slow, melancholy and daunting, but never goes anywhere from there. Aside from "Can I Sleep in Your Arms" - it seems Willie forgot he was an incredibly talented musician on this one.

Look, I like Willie Nelson. He's a cool guy (I assume) and I want to like this, but I just don't care for it. There's some decent tunes here and there, I just can't get into anything country related...
