Reviews (page 11 of 12)

????? - me listening to this album

I've always said The Red Headed Stranger, and Johnny Cash are the only Country Musicians I like, but unfortunately, this album is a dud. It sounded too much like normal country for me. Favorite Song: "Red Headed Stranger"

Does all Willie Nelson sound the same?? It's ok

Old time country, if you like that stuff, which I don’t

Too folky for me, maybe if i was really sad going through a breakup then it would hit. Not bad at all, would listen to again, but 2 stars because i found myself spacing out and not paying attention to the music

It's fine? Fav Track - Bandera

Besides the harp-play, old-fashioned country is not my jam.

More generic-sounding country music.

Very very country…

Really not my sort of thing although not terrible. I like his voice.

Är ju inte riktigt min kopp te. Bra men trist.

Not really my taste.

nto my thing

Boring country album, not horrific or pandering though. 2.1 stars

No puedo con su voz tan peculiar.

Was hopeful for a bit more on this one. I like some of Willie's songs but this album was a tad boring.

Uhh, álmosító. Red dead redemption mellé jó lehet

Elég volt a szomorú cowboy nótából

i just can't take this seriously... everything about this is giving me unidentifiable music feelings. like this sounds exactly like what i expect all country music to sound like, and i think that if i heard this live, i'd like it a lot better and maybe find it moving... but i'm listening to it from my laptop and all the lyrics and instrumentation are so typical of the genre that it's making me giggle. still, it's not totally bad. it's decent. wouldn't listen to it again though.

Willie falls in that same category as Bob Dylan for me. Everyone seems to love him, but I’m not sure he’s my thing. Sounds more like a guy talking over the music. 2.5

Again, a very smooth, soothing singing voice but WAY too country for me. Also one of his songs (Can I Sleep In Your Arms) was just to The Saints Go Marching In. Rating: 2

I just don't like country...sorry Willie

Country. Good in the background

Country music is too sad for me. And this guy seems to have had the worst kind of luck.

Not my thing

I did not enjoy it as much as my dad said he liked it.

Pretty hard no, didn't realize how country he was

This is basically the pinnacle of country music and it's pretty much the same song over and over again. It does sound very authentic, Willie has the perfect voice for country music. I wouldn't mind hearing this in some bar in Southern USA. But outside the right setting it's not worth listening to. Hopefully this signals the end of country music on this list.

Willie is pleasant but not compelling

Nirvana is definitely not my vibe

A bit slow for me

Gear: Grado Hemp Artwork: Old West Wanted-Poster mit Bordüre Mix: bewusst reduziert und perfekt eingefangen 👌 Musik: melancholischer Mundharmonika-Country 🤷‍♂️ Wertung: 🧔(🧔)/5

#207. I don't think I've ever listened to Willie Nelson's music before, but it turns out it was just about exactly what I had expected, unfortunately. Just uninteresting old timey country that never really builds to anything, really. 2/5: meh

Red Headed Stranger was retro in 1975, very retro, mostly in a good way. It’s stripped and raw, it feels like something out of different age. In my opinion it’s best when it’s just Nelson and his guitar, the piano has makes it feel hokey. In the end, it’s a bit to dated 5.5/10

yeehaw

Meh, all sounds the same. Without looking at the titles I wouldn't notice that there was a repeating song

Turns out, country music is a lot better when it doesn't have steel guitars or mouth harps. This was actually kinda tolerable. Good work, Willie.

So boring

Stoned & sleepy

A bit boring

Not for me

Lonesome ditties evocative of driving a pickup truck across a plain somewhere. Not really my vibe but perfectly pleasant and I do respect the craft. Sorry for the low score, I'm feeling harsh and I don't anticipate this being a record I'll come back to.

Willie Nelson is one of those artists everyone has heard of but may not know many or any songs. I had not previously heard this album or any songs from it. It's just ok for me, slower country songs, nothing objectionable but not something I see coming back to very much.

This was fine but I found it hard to tell the difference between songs. Nothing too distinctive.

Nice enough but a bit forgettable

Not a lot here aside from his voice. Makes this a tough listen for a non-country fan.

I really love country-folk music, but I struggle to like this very much. The theme is quite weak and not borne out well in the lyrics, and the melodies lean a bit too hard into traditional, so I'm not hearing anything new or innovative. It's not bad, it's just feels unfinished.

I was hopeful with the album title! But it was a bit too twangy for me.

Chansons globalement courtes.

I'm sorry country music but you're still not doing it for me

Hadde store forhåpninger, men dette var kjedelig

Rating: 5/10 Meh.

Not my cup of tea but a worthwhile listen

Did not hook me.

I don't dislike Willie Nelson, but I've never understood how this is rated as a number #1 rated country album of all time. It's got a few really decent songs like 'Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain.' But as a full album this falls so incredibly short.

Not really my style.

Wouldn't mind listening to 1 every now and then but not the whole album

Pretty boring. Couple of nice instrumental tracks with piano. My least favourite of the 'country' albums we've been served so far.

Country

Not my bag at all although I love a concept album.

Just not my thing - thankfully its a pretty short album!

Highlights: Time of the preacher Hands on the wheel

Normally I like country, but this was pretty boring. Should have read it was a storytelling concept album first so I could follow

The best part of a challenge like this is forcing ourselves to listen to something that we would never listen to in our daily lives. This was certainly the case for this album. And once again, I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed this album wayyyyyy more than I expected. Willie's voice has always been quite unique and it shines well on this album. I loved the songs with piano and harmonica - extremely well played. Favorite tracks: Just As I Am, Down Yonder, Can I Sleep In Your Arms, Remember Me, Bonaparte's Retreat.

quite liked the soft guitar, however the vocals do nothing but grate on me

Most all the songs sounded the same. I will say that Willie is a pretty good story teller though. I can see why he holds a special place in the 20th century musical lore.

Good storytelling and authentic country music. It's just I find country so repetitive and boring musically.

I want to like this so badly...but this is the type of country music that simply does not retain my attention. Sorry, Willie.

Oh, this is the American version of slim dusty. I get it

I reckon as I get older I've become more and more a fan of outlaw country. I consider a good portion of Willie's music to be outlaw and I had really high hopes for this album. Unfortunately, this one missed the mark for me. I do appreciate his voice and quite a bit of his music, but found this album to be pretty bland and boring. Maybe this old guy's mind just can't grasp the country concept album thing he's got going on but truthfully, most of the old twangy country stuff just doesn't do it for me. I still love Willie, I just did not find this album to be very enjoyable. 2.5

I liked the first song.

Yaaaaaawn. I have so little to say about this. It's not bad, it's not good, it just...is.

Seichter Outlaw Country.

Not bad but it was so generic sounding that I did not realized it when the auto-play moved on to other country songs after the album was finished.

Niet mijn muziek, country

Time of the Preacher - 8/10 I Couldn’t Believe It Was True -7/10 Time of the Preacher Theme - 7/10 Medley: Blue Rock Montana/Red Headed Stranger - 7/10 Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain - 6/10 Red Headed Stranger - 7/10 Just As I Am - 7/10 Denver - 7/10 O'er The Waves - 6/10 Down Yonder - 6/10 Can I Sleep In Your Arms - 7/10 Remember Me - 7/10 Hands on the Wheel - 7/10 Bandera - 7/10 TOTAL - 96/150

Very country. Respect the music but not for me.

Vind het lied “Remember me..” en “Can I sleep in your arms” het leukste denk ik!

chill, relax, retro music, but nothing special

This is classic folk music, and Willie has the perfect voice for it. This is a beautifully stripped down album, mostly guitar and voice. If you don't like folk or country though, this album will probably fall pretty flat. I just feel like there is better Willie Nelson out there. Favorite track was remember me.

Need to listen again, nice country songs

Écoutable mais pas trop à mon gout

his 18th album!

What is it with all the cowboy cosplay?

No, no, take this genre away from me. I can listen to country music only when I'm driving through USA or while playing Red Dead Redemption. I appreciate the story in the album, unfortunately, I can't stand his voice. Compared

2.5 / 5

Equis.

Country usually isn't my thing but I actually really enjoyed this.

Red headed stranger and Bandera are the good songs. This isn't bad. I think maybe it's a 2.5 or 3. Instrumentation is super sparse but the storytelling is good. Apparently was a big deal at the time because all the other country music being made was super produced whereas this stripped everything all the way back. Dunno if it's that interesting to listen to now though. Second reflection: going a 2 because I felt like there were a lot of forgettable songs.

Pick it up willie...

Boring, not my thing

Kind of a nothing album. The 4-6 real songs are good but not great WN songs - his gentle nylon string guitar melodies accompanied by a piano, subtle country bass and very light drums with the odd lonesome harmonica solo. Very minimalist sparse sound throughout. His voice is great, but doesn't do too much with it here. 'Can I Sleep in Your Arms' 'Blue Eyes' and 'Hands on the Wheel are the real stand out vocal perfomances with some emotional depth. Given the way the sparse arrangements emphasize the vocal, you'd want more. There are so many pointless micro-songs - it's like the score for a cowboy movie that does really well setting the mood and fading to the background. The album tells a story but not as well as some of the classic country story songs. They really went nuts with the concept album thing in the 70s and it was not a good idea. Favorites: Hands on the Wheel, Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain

Nothing to hate but more background music than something I want to listen to.

I don't know why I'm crying in the Shady Belle campsite right now

Love Willie but not his best album

- Honestly love the guitar work, but the vibe is a little too country for me - Appreciate the short length - A 2 for me but it definitely deserves higher

- I expected a little more from Willie tbh - good storytelling, but overall a little boring - I know he has better music

I heard like half of the album and got bored It feels like the same song over and over

Boring as hell

decent

Hmmm more country music. Sorry America I'm just not sold on it yet.

15 chansons, 33 minutes. Sofffft Le piano dans : Just as I am est nice.

It was fine to have on in the background as I worked. But it didn't really do much for me and no particular desire to listen to it again. Like most country.

Never cared for Willie Nelson 😐 still don't

Ok country a bit bland

Willie bum bum

Better than "Stardust," which I got here before. One or two songs that are worth it, but still a not-so-enjoyable album.

country halt

Not for me, not a country fan

theatric. not super for me. couldnt really get past the first track if i wanted it to be a ~work backgrounder~

Ah, normal, fine, I want to like it but can't. Just sounds like bland oldy country. Overrated on first listen. Sorry Willy

2. Not bad, but not for me.

decent country but not for me

He's good but Country really doesn't float my boat.

Boring

This is probably tad unfair, but if you've heard one Willie Nelson song, you've sort of heard them all. Or maybe that's just a classic country thing

Yeehaw motherfuckeeeers!

Didn't like it. That's that. Can see his influence on modern country singers that I like. This is fine.

Yup, echoing Caleb’s review. I didn’t love it. I liken what Willie Nelson was trying to do, I just thought the execution was less than great. Very inventive. I would not have expected this from Willie Nelson. I just wish it was done a little better. And yeah, Time Of The Preacher happening 3 times would *potentially* work. But here it doesn’t really. 2/5

"It's the same damn song" - Willie Nelson By the third time I heard "Time of the Preacher Theme" I was a little confused. Like, it's not a bad song! But... three times on one album? And a couple other songs were repeated twice! I like the idea of an art album, a storybook album, but I want to be brought in by it, not eternally bored.

I quite liked it. Nice background music. Probably wouldn't choose to play it though over other country artists.

Back to back days with Willie Nelson, but this one just reveals why I don't enjoy most country music sadly. Favorite track: Can I Sleep in Your Arms

A bunch of slow, short, sparsely produced acoustic songs. No "On the Road Again" sounding songs here. It's just very much not my thing. I'll still give it a 2 though.

2.5/5 Best: Red Headed Stranger Worst: Time of the Preacher

From what I know of Willie Nelson, I expected him to be more outlaw country but this is more old-fashioned songs about dyin'.

Pleasant and calm

Still struggling to find the country album that really gets me going. Feels like a collection of assorted demos and outtakes.

Aika perus kantria, en sävähtänyt. 2/5.

Är väl ingen countrymänniska egentligen. Få låtar som stack ut.

Country, not my thing really

I don't mind some country but this was a bit too schlocky for me.

It may be utterly unfair to give this a low score, because the man is a legend, and must be doing something right. Maybe it is because of the age of the album and because of the influence he had on the music (I genuinely don't know, I am not a fan of C&W) - but this album almost sounds like a parody to me - an album put together of C&W cliches.

Country is not really my bag. This album was inoffensive, interesting in places - if a little bizarre e.g. the murder of a woman for an attempted theft of a pony.

Mellow mellow country. Nothing I like in there.

I don't really think that Nelson's vocal and melodies are strong enough to elevate the VERY sparsely instrumented songs on this record to something interesting. Then you finally get full orchestration on the terrible 'Down Yonder' which sounds like a parody more than anything else. While this may be a concept album dealing with a double-murder and subsequent newfound love-interest of the Red Headed Stranger, I was never truly invested in the story nor enticed by anything musically. Although the title track does have a nice melody and Willie-boy is quite good at conveying emotions (as on 'Can I Sleep in Your Arms'), this just wasn't for me.

Released in 1975; how is this Nelson’s 18th record?! While I never grow tired of listening to Nelson’s timeless vocal, the same can not be said of the instrumentation. No one plays badly, and Bobbie Nelson’s piano and Jody Payne’s mandolin are especially beautiful - the mixing of the backing vocals are spot on as well. But as everything goes on in almost the exact same tempo it all becomes rather dull in the end. I don’t get the big picture of the concept album that this should be either; but putting together an actual concept having only written under half of the songs yourself is everything but easy. The first time I feel that the band puts something on the line is during the wonderful instrumental “Bandera”. And by then it’s already time to wave goodbye for now to the Red Headed Stranger.

willie nelson - red headed stranger (1975) notes - i knew who willie nelson was but id never actually listened to his music - the first half of the album is the story of the red headed stranger split up across 5 or 6 songs - the whole album is sort of in the same vocal and guitar range, so everything kinda blends together fav - blue eyes crying in the rain - great emotional ballad with some fantastic imagery least fav - remember me when the candle lights are gleaming - cool guitar solo but the lyrics and chord progression were sort of unremarkable 2.5/5

I feel like I'm utterly lost when it comes to country music. I can't tell what makes an average album to a so-called masterpiece. And this one sounds very average to me, contrary to what many critics have said. Guess it's probably the "concept album" that *Red Headed Stranger* is that appeals to them. And maybe the barebones way it was recorded, too. The thing is, even in concept albums, individual songs should shine. And I feel like none of them do on this one. I remember giving Marty Robbins a 3/5 grade and excluding him from my own list. Yet in the realm of outlaw country music, Marty was a bit of fun at least. Maybe I was unfair, you tell me... Yes, maybe I'll even my judgment on him--because some of my final grades will certainly be different than those I gave on the spot for each album. It's another interesting thing when you're spending three years or so with this app on your phone... That being said, and compared to that Marty Robbins album in Dimery's list, *Red Headed Stranger* currently sounds dull and dreary to me. So I have no choice but to give Willie Nelson an even lower grade than that 3/5 mark I gave Robbins. At least for this particular LP... Number of albums left to review or just listen to: 796 Number of albums from the list I find relevant enough to be mandatory: 107 Albums from the list I *might* include in mine later on: 50 Albums from the list I will certainly *not* include in mine (many others are more important): 47

It's alright

I can see why Willie Nelson is so huge. He has a lovely voice, he has lyrics that are a cut above standard country fare, and he isn't extremely yeehaw right wing like a lot of his compatriots. Sadly, it all leaves me a bit cold. I just don't think my brain is wired to enjoy country all that much. Maybe because I'm not American, and it's not ingrained in my culture? It's just sort of sad, nicely orchestrated, I listened to it then it ended.

Muito triste

Guitar and vocals were enjoyable, but I’m not a fan of the saloon piano

This album was not really that great in my opinon but thats coming from someone who doesnt really like country. 3/10

Sounds nice and sounds like Willie Nelson. It's just not for me.

Not for me.

Didn't like it Very boring

Too country and western for me. This is Yankee Doodle do music for yanks!

I don't think I'm the target demographic for US country, but I can appreciate Willie It just wasn't for me

Eh, it's country. Don't get me wrong, if I have to listen to country, Willie's a good choice. But it's country.

Slower than I would like, but I guess that’s what you listen for.

Almost fell asleep. Not bad for a slow country album, but not my cup of whiskey.

I really like willie nelson, but must admit this one is a bit boring.

Not as good as the one I had earlier in the week.

Lonesome Rustic

A fine outlaw country album. I imagined Willie Nelson sitting on a porch in a rocking chair playing guitar telling his stories when I listened to this album. It's alright but I'm still not really into country therefore my score is as it is.

Largely wasn’t into this

Country isn’t my thing at all, but this was pretty mellow and easy going. A bit repetitive imho.

All the respect in the world of willie but I just could not get into this

Another Country album! Still not my thing.

I know its good but not my jam

Sometimes melodic, usually boring, and generally not my kind of music.

Well, I'll say this much; my mother loves him. Personally I can't bear him.

Really can't believe I listened all the way through.not long ago I wouldn't even bother. Must be getting old

Could not get into it 3.5/10

a bunch of slow cowboy music 2.5

Olisin voinut kuolla kuulematta tätä levyä

Neeext

Not my thing - I can admire the finger picking guitar playing and melodies emphasised by the sparse instrumentation, but I just don’t think I’m won over by Willie Nelson’s country voice.

Best Song: Down Yonder. Nice rousing piano tune. Worst Song: O'er the Waves. Mega sleepy guitar solo. Overall: Honestly, this is the third consecutive country/western album the algorithm has given me, so it has all begun to blur. This is not my genre, although of the three albums, I could see why someone might like this one.

I dont really like country

2/5 meh

easy listening, but country is not in my favorites genres

it was alright.

Willie Nelson isn't my favorite country singer, and I got through half of this album without noticing that it was my second listen. It's fine, but not my cup of tea.

Country Remember me - has jazz vibes

100. Red Headed Stranger - Willie Nelson 15 tracks. Not sure if this is Country, Blues, or Country-Blues, but whatever it is, it's not for me. There is singing, but there is no accompanying tune/music. Just the occasional light strumming. Not like me to refuse a red head. 2/5

Another country album I couldn’t really get into. Can appreciate why it would be on the list though

This was alright but never really took off. It kinda felt like every song was the intro to something else, but that something else never came along. I've enjoyed the other Willie Nelson stuff I've heard, but this was just too soft, too much of a non-event, really. Surprised to read it was so well-received (according to wiki). I don't have anything to back this up, but it wouldn't surprise me if this was part of the inspiration for Eddie Vedder's Into the Wild soundtrack. Granted, that was a bazillion times better, but I do get similar vibes. 2/5.

I enjoy the outlaw country sound, but I think the lack of the full band backing in a major way makes this one not hit well for me. Entertaining enough, but again not likely something I would listen to on my own,. 2/5

2/5 not my cup of tea, sorry Willie

Saved Prior: None Off Rip: I Couldn't Believe It Was True, Red Headed Stranger, Down Yonder Cutting Edge: None Overall Notes: Sorry folks but I am just not on the Willie train. It's fine, he deserves to be on the list and everything but gonna have to agree with the record company bigwigs who thought it was too boring.

I honestly don't get any enjoyment out of music like this. I just find it boring.

Is this album the inspiration for Duval's "The Apostle"? I like how spare and clean the arrangements are. But I'm all set. Not for me.

Should maybe try again and also engage with lyrics

not my cup of tea, so to speak, but like Willie's guitar

Inoffemsive

Just not my bag

Eher so 1,85 Sterne.

Country music... Not at all my taste.

You know why

No me gusta el country no me gusta el concepto no me gusta nada

Sorry, not my musictaste

not really feeling it

just not my jam man

to jest country jakiws n bd sluchac lol

Näitä on taas tuhat samanlaista levyä maailmassa, ja kaikki yhtä kuraa.

Didnt wana even listen to this

I'll be honest, I listened to 2 songs. This genre is NOT for me

Not into C&W at all

Awful in so many ways. Here’s four: his awful voice, idiotic lyrics, ridiculous theme, and the melting of jazz guitar and country.

I just don't see the appeal here. Every song, musically, and lyrically, just bleeds right on into the next one over and over again. And it's not good music, either. It's incredibly simple, repetitive chords under "oh no I'm sad, let's go murder the woman who made me sad, oh no I'm still sad"

Couldn't finish it, it's just the same low tempo dull as dishwater western waltz all the way through, honestly couldn't tell where one song ended and the next one started

Awful, couldn’t listen the whole way through

Didn’t like

Maybe as a British millennial I'm just not qualified to comment on this sort of music, and I know country is not exactly renowned for it's experimentation but...this is so unbelievably dull, it's just the same fucking thing. Over and over. Songs (or the one song which is repeated as nauseum) is not bad, but it gets the lowest possible rating just for how lacking it is in scope, ambition, dynamics.

old country > new country. with that said, i can't really relate still. i can see where this is someones bag just not mine but its cool willie is a goat forsure

Time of the preacher- 6/10 I couldn’t believe it was true- 5/10 Time of the preacher theme- 4/10 Medley- 4/10 Blue eyes crying in the rain- 4/10 Red headed stranger- 3/10 Time of the preacher short version- 0/10 Just as I am- 2/10 Denver- 0/10 Oer the waves- 0/10 Down yonder- 0/10 Can I sleep in your arms- 4/10 Remember me- 1/10 Hands on the wheel- 3/10 Bandera- 2/10

country music is too boring for me

Boring

Not for me but still somewhat fun! I felt that the songs were all quite samey but an album like this is always gonna be that way. Favourite track - Can I sleep in your arms. I liked the simplicity of the lyrics, yearning, universal feeling etc etc

Pas fan

ehh nar thank yar

oh boy…

Too ‘murica for me

shit shit shit. not fire. opposite of fire. i hate it, it does not get a song on the playlist

Música aburrida. No le encuentro nada. Encima me da una vibes redneck total 2/10

As boring as it can be from a very overrated singer.

Bit too steady

had no time to listen

This was a hard listen, it's not my kind of music taste hence it took 2 days to finish. Hopefully the next one is better

I'm sorry Willie, but country is the red headed step child.

The very worst genre of music. This shouldn't be here. An album that I haven't heard before, but certainly don't need to hear before I die to know I've missed nothing. It got a few cursory few minutes to affirm what I already knew. Heard before ❌️ Listened this time ✅️ in part Revisit ❌️ Cuntry ★☆☆☆☆ (2/10)

Disappointing

Il country...

sooo boring, every song is the same

The album is half an hour and I didn't even make it to the halfway point. Sorry, not sorry.

Did not listen

No thanks

I don't get Willy's style and choices. ★

Country.

Lowkey misfire.

Pandering to the country music weirdos

Like Bowie, I've never been a Willie fan. Sorry. Boring.

Geklampfe

Country music is crap

That’s two Willie albums we’ve had now and they’ve both bored me utterly shitless. I just can’t fathom what is remotely interesting about this plodding twee nothingness. Given we had Dolly Parton the day before the difference is stark. Which is a revelation, given I had zero opinion on the difference in country genres before doing this list. Just cheer up Willie, you’re a bloody misery, at least Dolly’s melancholy is upbeat!

Don't like him

I was hopeful that Willie Nelson would be the one to get me to appreciate some classic country. Tragic, that this was not the case.

Biggest load of keech in a long time.

Maybe it was nice in its day? But hell nah man!

I hate country western only slightly less than metal.

Slow country music. I just can’t get into it. Remember Me is the only one that feels kinda bluesy and cool, with a nice little piano solo. Otherwise, all I can picture is the Coen brothers movies and their ironic vibe, redneck music.

Not good fam 👎

Maybe if you got rid of that old yee yee ass haircut you'd get some bitches on your dick

Puh.

Massive snooze fest. 1/5 stars.

Yeah, good old Willie. It's a no from me sorry. He sounded old back then and he sounds old now.

Really not my thing found it to be quite boring

Twang twang twang not my thing twang

Jeez. I know it’s all subjective but this couldn’t be less for me. Is this good within its genre

хрень

it's boring to me tbh like a 1/5

Not for me

point6.

i dont really like it because the lyrics are weird. the second one i dont really like because its just not somthing i would really listen too and i just dont like the lycrics. the third one i would also not listen too i also dont like country music.

If you get album I am sorry

Holy shit every song sounds the same. The instrumentals are sparse and there’s not enough in Nelson’s lyrics or delivery to keep it interesting. Down yonder is the only song that grabs you. There are a few moments here and there, like Bandera but overall a boring listen.

Limp-wrist country

tedious .

Not my cup of tea. Didn't hate it, just did nothing for me

Kinda shit

time of the preacher - piano and guitar, 3/4, bass comes in 1min i couldn't believe it was true - guitar, four on the floor kick pattern time of the preacher theme - kind of a part 2 to the first song, all the elements of the first one medley blue rock montana / red headed stranger - 3/4 time signature, every song is super short at 1-2 mins blue eyes crying in the rain - guitar, slow tempo, harmonies at the last part of the song red headed stranger - snare at beat 1, 3/4, changes to kick at beat 1, snare at 2 & 3 for chorus time of the preacher theme short version - very short just as I am - beautiful piano and guitar denver - nice guitar down yonder - very fast tempo and piano can I sleep in your arms - very pretty piano solo section remember me - nice rhythm hands on the wheel - bass, guitar, 3/4 bandera - guitar and piano, 3/4 Not my style of music I found it to be super boring sounding and wouldn't listen again

Not my kind of vibe

zimli whack, wenn mer nöd grad mitm Pferd dur Prärie rieted. Vlt ja muskialisch na guet, Aber am ne mentig morge sound vo 1975 lose, wo tönt als obs vo 1850 wär isch sehr ahsträngend.

It's hard to imagine Willie Nelson as a young man in any way. He's been an old stoner for as long as I can remember, and while he is associated with music he has been represented more as an icon of past years than a relevant musician during my life. While I'm not upset to hear an old Willie Nelson album there's really nothing here for me. It's a handful of very short, relatively slow blues country songs, none of which stay with me after a listen. I imagine I could listen any of the many albums in his collection and lump them together as skippable. I don't identify with this genre in any way so overall its just a skip from me. 1.3 stars

I’m not a fan of Country music, and this did nothing to change my prejudices. Even if I am a red head.

Did not listen

Country music is lost on me.
