great listen. A couple of songs I recognized and some new favourites.
80s electro funk at it's finest
Really good listen. Never heard of them but I'll add them to my queue.
Honestly can't stand Neil Young's voice.
Really interesting concept, but there were too many songs that sounded like something else.
Nice. Like a big hug.
I remember Suzanne Vega for one song, so I was surprised to hear so many great tunes.
Terrible. No redeeming features at all.
loved it, thanks!
I started out liking it, and are bored with the repetition of synth and Gabriels voice. I think Gabriel's solo stuff is great but I found his range on this one too narrow. The instrumentals were great.
Solid album.
took me back to the 90's. good times.
Loved this. I had the Back in Black cassette in my car at all times but never strayed to some of the older stuff beyond the title track.
Classic through and through. Not a bad track on there.
I bought this CD when it was released and I still have it. I must have played it non-stop back in the day cause I can still sing along word for word. Love it.
Couple of bangers in there. I didn't realize there was so much more beyond the hits.
not for me, but what a magically trippy journey.
90s awesomeness
Not for me
Well timed? - Definitely a classic. Was on my playlist already. Solid 5 stars.
Great album. I had no idea all this great music came from one artist.
Takes me back. the 80s were a great time for reggae and ska to hit the mainstream.
Old school funk and soul. Nice.
Not my cup of tea
Really interesting. I'll listen again.
So much gothic angst. Loved this when it first came out and still love it today. Fascination Street is still a great moody banger.
If you enjoy your misogyny and homophobia with a side of fat beats and slick rhyming then look no further.
From the opening notes I expected more from this album. pretty cookie cutter 90s electronic big beat.
Can't get access to the album so I'm going with 2 stars
not too bad. Mellow 90's vibe.
Surprisingly good. I thought I’d only know their one tune but I recognized a few.
Absolute classic. I could listen to this every day.
Chill vibes.
solid reggae vibes
Classic 80s vibe
Not my cup of tea
Classic rock' blues
Not too bad. I think I need to relisten to this one in the car.
entertaining
that opening scared the shit out of me.
I don't know how I missed this one the first time around. Really enjoyed it.
classic
some glimmers of greatness in there but not my jam over all.
This is one of these albums that everyone says "you must like it". Sorry, I don't. It just doesn't appeal.
I haven't listened to this album start to finish in a while. Thanks.
Classic all the way.
this one takes me back. early oughts indie discovery on pandora.
coffee house schmaltz. not for me.
four stars for the music - 0 stars for the artist
from the time when rap was witty and well put together and not just angry gangsta noise
sunshine vinyl!
coffee house rap. not for me.
This has always been a start to finish listen for me. The Broadway show was amazing too. 5/5 every day.
the other best U2 album. start to finish hits
90s alt rock goodness. Loved this album when it came out the first time I heard it. Still in my "Favourites" rotation.
I enjoyed this, despite my initial reluctance.
I tried. I did listen to the whole thing but I just left with a headache.
If there was a no star option, it would have earned it.
Pleasantly surprised.
This is an album I still pull out and listen to start to finish. It takes me back and makes me smile.
90s angsty Canadian goodness
90s baby. Love it.
So surprised by this one. Shame on me for my undeserved biases. From the soulful singing to the amazing musicality I couldn't believe I had discounted Mr. Nelson as country twang.
All around classic. Everything about this album is right.
Really loved this one.
Reminds me of the Secret Agent SOMA FM station I used to listen to. Great background music.
Ethereal, dissonant and melodic.
if beige was an album.
interesting. I was surprised by the many changes of genre. seemed like a real mixed bag, but in a good way.
great music, poor execution. no idea what they were thinking.
couldn't find the album
interesting album. I have no idea what he was saying, but damn if he didn't sell it.
I really don't understand how so many people love these guys.
old school cool
I almost thought this was a Monty Python album
just can't stand this guys voice.
not my jam
Amazing album. Absolutely loved it, what a great surprise.
What the hell is that annoying noise? If it's the vaunted electric jug, I never want to hear it again.
How can you not give 5 stars? Those mentioning the covering of black artists by Elvis would do well to listen to the podcast "A History of Rock in 500 Songs" to get some perspective.
Post punt gothic bliss.
Just what I needed.
there's something good in there somewhere, it just gets lost.
Enjoyed this one.
Really enjoyed this one. Never heard of the band but I'll be listening to their other stuff now.
definitely a mood vibe
