Lots of raw energy, but it all sounds the same after awhile

A pretty perfect follow-up to yesterday's Black Monk Time, which is a far far superior punk album to this. This album is awful. Probably the worst thing I've listened to so far. Impossible to stress how bad this whole thing sounds. Big old bunch of losers making a big old mess. I understand its place on this list - I don't think this list should only contain good music, and having historically important albums on the list is a good thing, but that does not make this album any better to listen to. Absolute dog ass 2/10
Problems God Save The Queen Seventeen I get they were one of the first punk rock bands and were influential. That doesn’t mean it’s good. Glad I have the culture and know that I don’t like them now.
Fantastic Johnny Rotten AGAIN. In one of the reviews this is called the greatest punk album of all time. Still utter shite. I had forgotten (or more likely suppressed) that the person responsible for inflicting this awfull ear-ache unto humanity was Malcolm McLaren. I actually like (and listen to) some of Malcolm's work which proves that everybody has redeeming qualities, everybody except Johnny Rotten. I still can't find any redeeming quality in him.
I tried, but I just can't get past the nails on chalkboard vocals. I just can't do it. I appreciate the punk instrumentals and what they did for the scene but I just can't stand this album.
Below average band with bad following. Most of this album is a waste of time
I'm not a huge fan of this band or this style of punk. Add in how this was a curated punk band and it really is a major turn off. Complete antithesis of what punk is supposed to embody - and the lead singer is a shit too.
It’s nothing more than a chintzy rock ‘n’ roll dumpster fire from a band whose mystique and lore always outshined their talent.

Yesterday, I wanted to know what the artist was saying in English, today I wish that I did not understand them. I thought it was hard to be on a level of bad like PIL, but they found it. Feel like it is all a show to them and they don’t know what they are really even against. I mean is Bodies a pro-life statement or what were they really trying to say.

First thought: what, this is music? Later thought: OK, it is, although someone is rather shouting than singing. Still not what I like to listen to, not my definition of music.
OMG!!! Horrible noise! Same noise each section with different words. Definitely have to be on drugs to even listen. I cannot!!!

Terrible. It's such a mess. The vocals are just some guy yelling. It's like listening to a high-school garage rock band. You deserve better.
Because of its age and being british the bite it has is very soft. It feels like if anarchists had christian values All of the songs just sound like one continuous song, all very alike. Best songs: Seventeen, Anarchy in the U.K. (classic), New York

A lot of anarchic noise. It’s their choice, but I’ve got no feeling for this. They wore their heart out on a plate, didn’t give a damn but they were pretty vacant.

Okay, I appreciate them pioneering not just punk music but the rebellious punk culture in general. However, I can't deny the fact that it hurts my ears listening to this. It's basically 30+ minutes of an annoying British boy shouting at you over aimless guitars. It's punk AF yes, and I don't like it. What a load of bollocks.
Can’t think of many albums I dislike more. Many much better punk bands to listen to.
Unfortunately, I absolutely consider this album to be, in fact, the bollocks. I listened to a bit less than half each of half of the tracks, that has to be enough. While respecting the influence this album I had - it's still the archetype of a style of music I can't stomach. To me, the 'rawness' of the music translates to unlistenable, badly played chaos. So, good on these guys for pushing and re-defining boundaries and public sentiment. But bad on these guys for making horrible music.

Not my thing.
I did not like this at all. To my ears, it's just a discordant mess of screaming and whining. I feel like an old man who just does not get the whole "youth music" thing, despite not even having been born when the album was released.

Not a huge fun due to it being an old rock album. Plus, it's hard to understand what they are saying over the noisy beats and it sounds all mindless music to me. Would Give It: 1/5.
Do I have to? Really? I can't stand this album, personally. Spun it a lot when I was younger, but as the years go by I just can't separate what I know about it and how it sounds. The manufactured pop of punk. Yeah.

I don’t think I’ve ever actually listened to the Sex Pistols, even though I’ve most definitely heard of them. Wait, why does this guy sound like the lead singer on the B-52’s? You know, I’m not really digging this album so far. Okay, so yeah. I don’t really like hard rock. I’m a big fan of alt-rock, but hard rock is not my thing.
