Nostalgic.
Album #99 Oasis: (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? All these years later, and I’m still not sure what the story is, but one thing I am sure of is that this has remained one of the greatest rock albums of all time. Oasis will one day stop getting stick for being ‘Beatles clones’ once a band comes around which inevitably picks back up the old formula and starts being referred to as an ‘Oasis clone’. After the release of Definitely Maybe, I really don’t see how they could have possibly been accused of ripping off the Fab Four. If anything, that album was more in line with the 70s Glam era of rock. Naturally, though, in ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’ when Oasis took a turn from their more raw sound on their debut and instead opted for some acoustic-led ballads, the Beatles comparisons were amplified. I think that people just seem to consider any rock that has pop elements and is not as harsh to be fake, unless you sound like Led Zeppelin or Jimi Hendrix, you aren’t ‘real’ rock; that is, unless you’re The Beatles, who even the snobbiest of rock fans give the pass to. Thus, anyone who takes on a poppier sound will then be lumped in with The Beatles, as that is all people associate the sound with. I will say that for most of my time being an Oasis fan, I did consider their debut to be their best album; it felt more emotional and less polished than the follow-up, which I still enjoyed. But after a while, the appeal of angst starts to wear off you a little, and you end up finding yourself coming back to the heartfelt bittersweet ballads of ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’. As far as an album being perfect goes, the fact that every song on this thing, including the B-sides, could have been a number one single goes to show that Oasis were a different beast in the 90s. When I was younger, I used to wonder why artists didn’t just make an album consisting of exclusively hits, and why more-often than not, only one or two songs would be a radio banger; well, Oasis managed to accomplish that without sacrificing a coherent structure to their album. Each song here will become nostalgic to a different era of your life; each one could be played in the ending credits of a different chapter. I will always be a sucker-for the Britpop sound and I will always succumb to a ballad no matter how sappy, I understand that this album is likely overplayed and too commercial, but I would be lying if I said that I didn’t find it to be one of the easiest listens of all-time. Just non-stop bangers; I am not sure how my 100th album can top this. Best Songs: Don’t Look Back In Anger, Champagne Supernova, Cast No Shadow Worst Song: None Score out of 10: 10
Previously rated: #221 - Definitely Maybe (4/5) ******************************** Album #1,079 I’d complain about his nasally voice if the songs weren’t so good, but they are so I won’t. This has my favorite Oasis song, Don’t Look Back in Anger. It’s great.
First album I ever bought. I was 14 years old. Changed my world. Soundtrack to an entire generation. Is it a perfect album? Probably not but the fact that 30 years on my teenage kids now play this album on repeat and know it every bit as well as I do speaks volumes.
Have I listened to this album before? No How familiar am I with this album? Pretty familiar, I know most of the songs, just never listened in order How do I feel about this artist? I like Oasis quite a bit Favorite song(s)? Champagne Supernova (One of my all-time fav songs), Roll With It, Morning Glory Overall Thoughts: It's so funny how it starts with a fake Wonderwall intro and then goes to Hello instead. No surpises here. I like Oasis, I like this album a lot.
Masterpiece.
This album fucks. That's it. That's the tweet.
Amo amo amo esse álbum!
5 stars
Love the vibes. I can definitely see how this influenced some if my fav alt/indie rock bands of the 2000s. Fav songs included 'wonderwall', 'some might say', and 'champagne supernova'.
10/10. No notes
A near perfect album that nobody’s been able to touch, not even them.
Okay, so maybe I get the people who spent their life savings on that one tour recently
fantastic way to end the week, and even to transition to the new one
What are the chances after Definitely maybe. I have listened to this before and i remember enjoying it so hope that stays like that. Overall did enjoy it more than DM, the song writing was better, lyrics and the deeper meanings where all better than DM. Morning Glory also reached a higher acclaim which i agree with. Overall brilliant album, 9/10
Huge, swaggering, and emotionally blunt, this is Britpop at full stadium scale. It’s not subtle, but it doesn’t need to be when the hooks are this undeniable. Favorite Song “Don’t Look Back in Anger.” The piano intro alone feels like collective memory, and the chorus is built to be screamed by thousands without losing its sincerity.
One of the very best ever. No skips
10/10. This is a perfect album to me. I love Definitely Maybe, it’s got some amazing tunes on it. This one’s better because I feel the songs blend and form a seamless experience. Hello and Champagne Supernova are perfect intros and outros, respectively. Of course we got Wonderwall and DLBIA as a back to back barrage. The swamp song verses are amazing intermission pieces. My personal favorite is Cast No Shadow. I got to see that live for the ‘25 tour and I was thrilled. I will forever adore this album, with both Liam’s vocals and Noel’s guitar solos. Fucking BIBLICAL
I love this album and listened to it long ago. Glad to see it here.
(V) One of my favorite albums of all time. Biblical Mon.
I didn’t want my first five star review to be an album that I already knew inside out…but finding myself singing along to all the tracks…it’s going to have to be ⭐ ⭐️ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
I wanna flip Vs everywhere ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼
No voy a ser objetiva con este
Makes me yearn to be British
The record that introduced Oasis to the USA!

Simply bangers. Listened to the full thing twice.
le doy 5/5 a Morning Glory. Just straight bangers. Ese one-two-punch de Wonderwall + Dont Look Back In Anger is just perfect. My fave es un tie between Some Might say y Champagne Supernova pero might give it to CS porque its a really great ending to a great album
I should probably stop handing out so many 5s, but... With how much attention certain songs on this album have gotten (especially Wonderwall, which has been overplayed to oblivion), I expected the "deep cuts" from it to drag a lot more than they did. However, although these compositions are not the most original, they are just so nice to listen to, and there is certainly merit in that. The production is great, Liam's voice and delivery scratches some itch in my brain and fits the music perfectly, the melodies are so catchy, and there are some great guitar solos here. And, by the way, Wonderwall IS a great song. Favorites: Roll With It, Wonderwall, Don't Look Back In Anger, Some Might Say, Champagne Supernova
muy lindo
Bold to open with Wonderwall. And yet there's a reason Oasis has stood the test of time despite—or perhaps in addition to—the brothers' feud ("Stop mardin' and headline Glastonberry" - Matty Healy circa 2023). It's a phenomenal album with a cohesive sound and tight vision. In an age of solo artists, it can be so refreshing to return to proper rock band land. Even Wonderwall, for all the fun that's made of it, is a perfect song, 90s BritPop or otherwise. Would I have paid oodles and oodles of pounds to see the reunion tour? No. Am I enjoying this powering me through my Monday morning? Absolutely.
On of my fav
One of the best rock album ever !
I forgot how good this album is! Truly it deserves 5 stars for Wonderwall alone. Not because that is the best song but because I have personally witnessed it bring people from around the world together in joyful sing-along at hostels many times over. Perhaps - some of these international political conferences could use a little Wonderwall sing along. There is no way it would make things worse.
Great album a real crowd pleaser
I don't even need to finish this (in anger) to rate this. Absolute bangers.
The British sound of 90
(What's The Story) Morning Glory is an album that's iconic for a really good reason, and that reason being is that its an absolutely fantastic album. This album has that combination of melodic and decently heavy guitars that i always enjoy about not only Britpop but alt rock in general. The main show stealers are obviously the guitars but everything else is also handled insanely well too from the vocals to all the other instruments. Those vocal melodies are also a big reason as to why this album is so good. I think i like this album more than Definitely Maybe, I'm not sure why but there is something about it i really like more here, either way they are both absolutely fantastic. Best Song: Morning Glory Worst Song: The Swamp Song (Except 2)
Easily top 50 albums of all time.
It's been a few years since I last listened to this album all the way through, so I'm glad it popped up within this list In my opinion, this album is the perfect example of "lightning in a bottle" - the gallaghers put together and released a wildly popular album that, at its core, is very very good, a success they tried and failed to replicate in the proceeding 6 albums they released. This is also a great example of an album that aged like fine wine - it's been 30+ years since this album originally released, and sounds as if it could've been made yesterday. Culturally, it seems to be an album that refuses to be killed off. You still hear people making the "anyway, here's wonderwall" joke. You still hear a live musician at your local bar playing Don't look back in anger (personally, it's one of my favorite songs to perform on karaoke). In the time since what's the story morning glory released, the gallaghers may be the butt of many jokes for being pretentious assholes, however that shouldn't take away what they created with this album. Surprisingly, I went into this listen last remembering it as an average album, and coming out thinking this is a very well done album
No. 113 Wow, what an album. Almost all the songs are great, and after i finished i kept on repeating songs.
One of if not the best album of the ’90s. All time classics throughout and not a bad song in sight. Need I say more
Knew what I was rating this one before listening. Oasis’ best album imo and full of some of their best songs. If you can get past some of the questionable lyricism (especially on Some Might Say) then there’s really nothing going on against ‘Morning Glory. Champagne Supernova as the final track is peak.
excellent
classic
amazing
i've heard some of the big hits from Oasis, but never any of their full albums. this will be relatively new to me Hello - 4/5 Roll With It - 4/5 Wonderwall - 5/5 Don't Look Back in Anger - 5/5 Hey Now! - 5/5 Swamp Song Excerpt #1 - no rating Some Might Say - 5/5 Cast No Shadow - 4/5 She's Electric - 4/5 Morning Glory - 4/5 Swamp Song Excerpt #2 - no rating Champagne Supernova - 5/5 Average score: 4.5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ i figured based on their hits that i'd enjoy this just fine, but i was kind of blown away! according to some of the reviews I've seen of their work after this, it seems this album was their last great album. it's a shame, cuz they showed a lot of promise being among the best britpop groups back in the day
Oasis was my britrock group of choice in the 90's. I didn't like Suede or Pulp that much, Blur had their moments as well as Kula Shaker, but none of them hit like Oasis did. I didn't care for the whole "lad culture" fad, but I still like their music. I'm not sure which album I've listened to more, this or "Definitely Maybe", later "Be Here Now" didn't really hit me the same way. There's some good tracks there as well, but something is missing. I'd also gotten very tired of the bands antics, which no doubt annoyed me quite a bit. Usually I don't care much what happens outside the music, but I guess Gallaghers money flouting and shite talking got to me. This album still sounds great to me.
I honestly saved and favourited all the songs from this album, minus the Swamp Song excerpts.. Spot on, not one song is the same, but together come together to create a wonderful album.. or should I say WONDERWALL album!!
Like eating a feast of one of your least favorite cuisines prepared impeccably well.
Yeah alright. Fine. Wonderwall is a good song. There, you made me say it. Are you happy now? Whatever. Champagne Supernova? Also pretty awesome. Don't Look Back In Anger? Uggghhhhh okay FINE it's great. One could even call it "anthemic." Like everybody else in the world already has. NO, none of these songs make any fucking sense lyrically; YES, they're all overplayed and derivative and lowest-common-denominator hooliganishly simplistic; YES, they do something to me anyway. So. FINE. Oasis made ONE good album (Definitely Maybe is boring to me. Sorry. I don't think we need to even get into the rest of them. As far as I'm concerned their discography consists of WTSMG + Wibbling Rivalry ONLY)
Hooray a GOOD album on my birthday. An album that i've never listened to completely so far but I really liked it as I already exptected to. Didn't even realize that the album is over after the last song when spotify played songs from other albums :D that's always a good sign for me.
I would consider half of these songs to be classic and I'm not even British. They got me on this one. 9/10
Fucking biblical mate
Favourite Track: Champagne Supernova or Cast No Shadow
You know what? Time has eroded this a bit but it’s still a cracking album. I have to give it a 5. In a list dominated by mediocre 90s albums, this is still a great listen.
One of THE albums of the 90's, love this album so much!
Sunsheeiiiiiine
So many classics.
A seminal 90's album and better than their debut album. I know there is a backlash against Oasis because the lyrics aren't the best in the world and the Gallagher brothers are always acting like the Gallagher brothers. This is the album that mixes the band's affinity for massive choruses and more gritty guitar rock. Their debut was more of the guitar rock and Be Here Now was just massive choruses 8 minutes at a time. This is the perfect mix. My friend gave me this CD (because she had two) in 1996 and it mostly just sat with CD collection, not getting listened to and gathering dust. Then in 2003 I went to see one of my favorite college bands and they drunkenly played a cover of Roll With It. For some reason, this prompted me to put the CD in my player and I realized what I had been sitting on for seven years. There is not a bad song on here, and as always, I could use the absence of short instrumentals they don't detract from the album overall. Don't Look Back in Anger has always been my favorite track on here with She's Electric being second. Hate the Gallagher brothers, love Blur more than you love Oasis (depending on the day, I would agree) but it's hard to not listen to (What's the Story) Morning Glory and not feel like you hearing an album that made a massive footprint on music.
This album is like a Sunday session after big nights on Friday and Saturday. You’ve woken up hungover but you and your friends are keen to enjoy the weekend to the fullest, and the weather is nice. You park up in a garden bar and chew through the first two pints. Now you’re on to your third, and the hangover seems to be gone and the mood is high.
Classic album with nearly every tune being a banger. You forget neally all of their greatest hits come from this one album. Would happily listen again any time
Another solid album from Oasis, which shows that they deserved their notoriety and relevance for their time. "Wonderwall", "Don't Look Back in Anger", and "Champagne Supernova" continue to be the legendary songs that still are part of the cultural zeitgeist, but I also enjoyed "Some Might Say" and "Cast No Shadow"
gostei
Well this is an album I know very well and listened to extensively in the 90s. Put it on, hadn't heard it for a good number of years but the old magic returned. Got fed up listening to the Oasis hysteria from the last year or two but the music speaks for itself. Cast no shadow, what a tune. I was thinking I was going to be harsh with this review but would be unfair and not doing this album justice. Rightly considered one os the albums os the 1990s. Class
As near to a perfect album as you can get. Starts strong, ends strong. No skips at all. Perfect day of music.
INCREDIBLE. Not just the hits like Wonderwall and Don’t look back in anger but the deep cuts, like Hello, She’s electric and cast no shadow. Champagne Supernova is a fantastic closer. They second Why, why, why? before the guitar solo does something to me deep within my soul. 5 stars 10/10. A+
Had to dig out my old Compact Disc copy. Just a great album. Pure 90’s Gold.
Wall-to-wall huge hitters. This has got so many of the classic Oasis bangers on it, and although I prefer Definitely Maybe, this is still awesome. Yeah Wonderwall is a bit of a meme now but still a great song.
I miss when albums would define entire generations
Wow this one really brings me back. I cannot believe that this album is 30 years old... oof. All-around pretty great record.
How could anyone not love this
God knows how many times I’ve listened to this album, and now it takes me back to summer 2025. It can only be a 5/5 for me
Absurdo. Parece um Greatest Hits.
Perfection.
Hier stimmt alles.
This is #day538 of my #1001albumsyoumusthearbeforeyoudie challenge, and… this is my favorite Oasis album, and also the first one I ever heard from them, which must have been about 20 years ago. Time flies... Maybe that's part of why it's my favorite. Anyway, it's an all killer, no filler. This is a 5 out of 5. Looking forward to #day539.
Look. I'm a 42 year old white man who's personality type is 'a person who loves Manchester'. It's safe to say that What's The Story holds a certain appeal. Like, it's basically the most symbolic album of my young teens. I got it on tape from the library shortly after it came out, and have vivid memories of playing it on a grey boombox we used to have plugged in in our bathroom. Cast No Shadow was the first song I ever learned on the guitar. The chart battle with Blur was probably the first pop culture thing I was invested in. This matters, is what I'm saying. But is it good? Annoyingly, given my complex current-day feelings on the Oasis Industry, it is, yeah. It's absolutely mega. Every song - somehow including both instrumentals - is a total banger. On this listen I really appreciated some of the lesser songs, like Hey Now or Some Might Say, but really, it's the huge hits that propel this into the stratosphere. I was also really taken by some of the things that you don't always associate with Tory Noel and Liam the Wally - the production is stellar, with every element really distinguishable, and there's a real sense of heaviness to it with the flange on the guitar (possibly the wrong term) that reaches a peak in the title track. It's weird, looking back, that they were compared to Blur so much, other than for the fact they were around at the same time, as the sound is totally different. Anyways, it's a yes from me; an unsurprising five for personal meaning and a slightly surprising five for the actual enjoyment on this listen.
Liam is THE best poet of our time and no i'm not talking about any lyrics on this album or any other. Actually imo his talent is wasted as a musician because have you read any of his tweets? like that's shakespeare
Wall to wall 90s anthems. It's nowhere near as good as Definitely Maybe, but it still hits the spot. It continued downhill from here - there's a reason that 20 out of the 23 songs on their tour setlist are from the era of those two albums.
Unforgettable
This album is absolutely fantastic, which is annoying because it vindicates the most annoying group of people in the world, Oasis fans
Todo muy bien.
4.5/5 All the hits here are magic
One of my favorite albums of all time. I love oasis so much.
One of my personal favorites. Legends!! (I said maybeeeee)
10/10 cohesive, no misses, great sounding for its time
‘Wonderwall’ has a bit of a bad reputation for being overplayed but several big Oasis hits on this album made for a great listen. Nostalgia plays a part but I really like(d) listening again. 4.5/5
Such a classic album. Everyone knows at least one song off this album, it is so amazing. I will say one critique I already have of Oasis is that some of their songs sound identical. Right off the bat, track 1 is ridiculously similar, if not identical to "Wonderwall." This is one of the few popular albums where I was actually able to find the original instead of having to listen to the deluxe version. I like track 2 a lot, this is one of the songs I have not heard before, at least not in full. I think I have probably heard at least one part of every song on this album. This is such an impressive album to have put out in 1995. The production is just so good. Track 3 is one of their most popular songs for a reason. It is very good, such a crisp sound. Track 4 is a song I have listened to so much I have truly worn it out. It is such a good song though. Track 5 is really good as well. I fear this might be another five star album. Track 6 is a very short transitional song, but it absolutely rocks I cannot lie. I hope version 2 has lyrics. Track 7 is another one I have never heard, I do like it though. Same for track 8. Track 9 is another classic song off this album, it is very good. Honestly, five stars, such a good album.
Even if I was never a big fan of Oasis, I have to admit this album is great. Banger after banger.
Perfect album. I don't even need to re-listen here because I play it all the time.
The quintessential Brit pop album that set the wheels in motion for so many to come. All hits and bangers. Only issue is the album can feel like a random clumping of, albeit it some of the best songs ever written, and not very cohesive as an album. But still doesn’t detract from what makes up the album.
Ah, this one takes me back! Solid album, the first time I've given out a 5 star rating. So many mega hits on this album (Wonderwall, Don't Look Back In Anger, Champagne Supernova, Morning Glory), even the songs that didn't hit the charts are great. It was fun giving it a re-listen and transport back to my college days. (5)
It goes without saying that Oasis is one of the most controversial and premier rock bands of all time. They are back and this outstanding album is a perfect illustration of why there popularity never abates.
Classic Album Probably Oasis’ best work Best song - Cast No Shadow
Great Album.
Great album, absolutely classic
The history.
A lot of anthemic and heavily played songs on this album. It's hard to distinguish for me whether I do really love it or it's just so omnipresent in culture to the point that I can sing along. I enjoyed it immensely today and I reviewed Definitely Maybe last week, and preferred Morning Glory overall I think. Don't Look Back in Anger will always get me.
(Wonder)wall to (Wonder)wall britpop classics. It holds up fantastically. Just a wonder(wall)ful album.
A classic of my youth.
Listens: Many Standout Tracks: She's Electric, Morning Glory, Champagne Supernova Perhaps it's nostalgia for me - my mom bought this album on cassette tape and we would listen to it in the car while doing errands - but I quite enjoy this album. This album and Third Eye Blind are some of the first bits of music I actually remember consciously knowing about and understanding (not necessarily lyrically, but just as music that exists somewhere outside of the radio). Oasis albums are pretty hit or miss for me, but this album, and Dig Out Your Soul (which I doubt is on the List) get periodic listens a couple of times a year. I am happy to see (What's The Story) Morning Glory here. I know Wonderwall gets a TON of hate - its seemingly "mandatory" learning for anyone who is interested in "showing off their guitar skills". Oh, you have your acoustic guitar out, dude, play Wonderwall!
some great songs here
Smashes all that American keach.
Overrated album, but it good actually😂 ชอบ don’t look back in anger กับเพลงท้ายๆอัลบั้มเหมือนเดิม (some might say, cast no shadow, she’s electric⭐️, champagne supernova⭐️)
I fucking love this album
Erster Eindruck: kannte ich schon lowkey, also keine Überraschung Lieblingssong: "Don't look back in anger"/ "Hey Now!" (Lieblingszeile): "So I start a revolution from my bed" "please don't put your life in the hands of a rock n' roll band" Overall Rating: 9/10 Anmerkungen: Gab echt mehrere Songs die mir ganz gut gefallen haben, mehr hab ich lowkey nicht zu sagen
Certi bangers
First 5* for me, just lots of absolute bangers
A 90s UK phenomenon, that still resonates today 5/5
wow first five yet, very exciting. but how could you give anything less than a five for an album where you downloaded nine out of the twelve songs? so little to dislike about this album even the three i didn’t download are completely fine. britpop does it again (or did it then i guess?) hardest part is choosing a favorite song but i think it’s probably don’t look back in anger. shoutout to these brothers who have an ego for sure but i guess for a reason.
I’ve always loved oasis, my mum listened to them all the time when I was younger I think the love for them has been passed down. Really gutted I never got to see them live ! Excellent album !
I mean, an unreal album, really. Such a quintessential oasis sound, with a couple of well known bangers. Brit-pop at its finest. How can you not pick wonderwall as your top pick? You can, you pick Champagne Supernova. 4.5/5 album, brilliant.
Mindless drivel and shallow hedonism have never sounded quite as grand and satisfying as this. Standout Tracks: Hello, (anyway, here's) Wonderwall, Don't Look Back in Anger, Hey Now!, She's Electric, Morning Glory, Champagne Supernova Score: S
I! LOVE! OASIS!
listened and loved so many times before this generated
YUPPPPP, love me some Oasis album

Five stars, begrudgingly. Everything after this was a pastiche of themselves.
An incredible album that I should have been into in the 90s but was not
Hello 2026, hello album #200, and hello to the first 5 star of the year!! This is a VERY promising start to the new year. Another album that came out the year I was born and another one I’ve been dying to roll since the beginning of my journey on this website. Regardless of what anyone thinks of it, this is the album with “Wonderwall”, an absolutely iconic song which also happens to be a God Tier meme, something with unlimited staying power in the cultural zeitgeist that has managed to keep being great for a very long time now, regardless of whatever is considered popular at the time. And you know what?? It's not even my favorite song on the album!! That honor goes to the titular "Morning Glory". I'm so glad these guys got back together, the fact that they were feuding for so many years just made me sad. Both Gallagher's may be abrasive, generally angry cock nobs, but god damn do they know how to come together and jam. Every single song on this album is incredible. Not one song I would skip or consider filler. The guitar work? Superb. The vocals? Godly. Everything else? It's like you're listening to something you just know is special, from the first chord on the album. The creative use of vocal compression, subtle use of distortion, reverb, hella whammy bars, and just every aspect of this album makes it one of my faves I've heard so far. Favorite songs on the album are the previously mentioned "Morning Glory", "Wonderwall", and "Champagne Supernova". I listened to the 30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition for this listen through. That's not something I generally do, but for this album it was a welcome addition with the Unplugged versions of almost half of the songs on the album. Very cool inclusion to have on the album. This is the first of 2 Oasis albums I've rolled so far. We'll see if the other one is just as good, or dare I say better than this one. That's asking a lot though, because I love this album. I don't listen to Oasis a lot, and I hadn't even heard most of the songs on this album before until today, which is blasphemy in it's own right. I've been missing out on something I already knew was great. Happy 2026, I greatly look forward to the next 100 albums I'll be rolling, especially if they're comparable to this. Is 2026 going to start with a streak of 5 star albums?? More on that tomorrow.
This was my first ever album, on cassette. I knew it from back to front. I listened and wrote down all the lyrics to many of the tracks and I sat in the playground in Year 2, aged 7 or 8, singing these songs with my friend Marc Lobb. Often, we had a little audience of reception pupils (probably wondering what the hell we were attempting to sing, with my garbled interpretation of what I thought the lyrics actually were). This album is engrained deeply into me. Controversial opinion: the second half of the album is far better than the first. Some Might Say and Cast No Shadow are my two favourite tracks. How cool is it that this is my first album? Well my follow ups (as best as I can remember) were two albums from The Corre, two albums from The Lighthouse Family, Now 42, and the creme-de-la-creme, The Vengaboys. Boom (X4)
I love Oasis. I used to wonder why I'm one of their few American fans, but for now I'll just say it's a wonderwall that I take to them as I do. I even used to think, at a subconscious level, I was being difficult and ironic: allow me, the lover of all things un-Oasis, play their first two records at high volumes and cling to their corny lyrics and less-than-basic pop melodies. But that simply isn't how it is. Besides, I can't, as I don't think anybody can, get all that much outta music/(art) ironically - and I've listened to this one and the debut more times than it would take to satisfy an insincere admiration. So I'll just go on digging their swagger, which is at once a throwback to their Liverpool-heroes and something else entirely: futuristic? biblical? serene?
Erster Eindruck: kannte ich schon lowkey, also keine Überraschung Lieblingssong: "Don't look back in anger"/ "Hey Now!" (Lieblingszeile): "So I start a revolution from my bed" "please don't put your life in the hands of a rock n' roll band" Overall Rating: 9/10 Anmerkungen: Gab echt mehrere Songs die mir ganz gut gefallen haben, mehr hab ich lowkey nicht zu sagen
Anyway, here’s 2026 (album’s great)
Biliyormuşum ben bu şarkıları aaaaa senin sevmene hiç şaşırmadımheheh And after alllll You're my wonderwalllll
Kinda old-sounding Not really much of memorable moments, aongs don't stuck in my head Guitar is majestic omg Long ass songs tho Id say every song us a banger, like no exceptions But overall 8.5/10 Edit: its freaking 12/10, the day was shit, the album is a masterpiece
One of a kind 🫶🏻
Simply, an album chock full of bangers. If you don’t love this album you have no soul!
The anticipation for this album when it was released was huge. It actually stands the test of time well with all time classics, Wonderwall & Don't Look Back in Anger surrounded by a strong supporting cast, and its those strong mid album tracks, Some Might Say, She's Electric & Cast No Shadow that elevate this album.
I would say this is the best album from oasis
Oh, hello you very enjoyable album. I’ll be listening to this one some more.
👍
Amazing. But I already knew it was
i knew this one would come. an absolute classic, always a pleasure
This being the first album I've been given feels like some sort of sign. Oasis have been a part of my life for years, and being surrounded by this sort of music growing up has become a part of me. Especially living in manchester, it sort of connects you to the music and reminds me of home. This was the first album I ever owned on CD, inherited from my mum, and I saw them a couple months ago with her. The atmosphere was just insane, 10/10 album, not one bad song on it. Favourite song - Champagne Supernova
No wonder they thought they were The Beatles. If I wrote songs these good, I'd think I was John Lennon, too.
Don't Look Back in Anger is my favorite on this, what an awesome song. And me being a dummy, I didn’t realize until today they use the riff from Imagine. Beyond the hits I already knew, I wasn't 5 wowed at first, but after three listens, there's a lot of great stuff here, and it’s hard not to like every song. She's Electric is probably my favorite "new to me" song. Morning Glory is a good one too, and they all have their own unique charm. There's a messiness to some of their songs that might normally annoy me, but they make it work somehow. Pulp still has my 90s Brit pop heart, but this is a winner too.
Quite legendary, so many global bangers
There are sooooo many britpop albums on this project, and so many of them don't deserve a spot on here. Well at this point, I can honestly say after getting Oasis' first album (Definitely Maybe) early on in this project, and its follow up, "What's the Story Morning Glory" very late in the project, Oasis is honestly the blueprint and what all of these 90s britpop acts aspired to be. And while others attempted to imitate Oasis, Oasis was already evolving beyond simple britpop. You can hear inklings of grunge and other genres brought back around during the greater 90s alt rock movement. The album itself is paced well and makes for a very steady, lively listen all the way through. I have always found "Champagne Supernova" to be a particularly evocative song, one that has a slow climb to a soaring climax -- it makes for a stellar album closer and serves as a good summary of the excellence of this album. Again, so much britpop could have been left off this project. This is the britpop album that needed to be here. This album says everything that needed to be said.
Best BritPop, Little Indy
This was overdue to listen to
I LOVE THIS ALBUM
I'm not crying you're crying
Really liked
Vastly overplayed and over covered it's still completely deserving of 5 stars. The music is full of hooks and the lyrics are either genius irony or verbal diahorrea. In both cases catchy. Liams guitar sound is really much more deserving of comment and what a great live band they were; with a nice live sound in the studio.
MY CUP OF TEAAAAAAAA YOU'RE MY WONDERWALLLLLLLLL The first song is called Hello cause they literally greeting me and prepping me for the divineness in my ears Dont Look Back in Anger is most underrated song They put the Swamp Songs on the album just for shits and giggles Every song except the swamps have been added. But I like the beginning and end more than the middle of the album 9/10
Zeitlose Hymnen, natürlich 5 Sterne. Biblical.
Mehli was bitte für Skip Songs?
Obviously iconic. With an iconic album closer
Favorite Track: Don't Look Back In Anger
I love Oasis. I think they are much better than blur.
Sweet
Maybe three songs that could've been left out, other than that an impeccable album.
i really dislike this genre but this really worked for me randomly
mid 5 for a short period between late 1994 and early 1995 noel gallagher was blessed by the music gods. what he did to deserve this we can never know. their blessings lasted just long enough for him to write a single album with nothing but timeless pop bangers. then that was it. this album is the oasis best of. every track is a deserved classic. despite the amount of "wee in a plastic pint glass and throw it" that went on at oasis concerts, theres not a soggy moment on here. im marking it down to a mid 5 simply because it doesnt chime with me on that personal level, and i count that in these reviews. i cant bring myself to put it along side revolver, wish you were here and ziggy, but im astonished to say it probably deserves to be there, it is that good. theres a lad i play football with from stockport who skills me up each week over and over and over again. ive seen the pictures of him at oasis sobbing his eyes out, i couldnt help but be moved. you can only say fair play to both.
Never gonna give this anything less than 5 stars, simple as
Just a great album one of oasis’s best
Mega dobrý: Wonderwall Don't look back in anger Hey now Some might say
You can have your standards, I’m a cheap date.
Classic British album
For pure nostalgia this is a 5 for me. It gets a bit washed out with too much sounds in the middle but man. Wonderwall? Champagne Supernova? 5 on those alone
Acknowledging the "white guy puts capo on 2nd fret is the signal to leave the party" legacy that "(Anyways, Here's) Wonderwall" has, this is an incredible album. If this album only had "Don't Look Back in Anger" and "Champagne Supernova" with the rest of the runtime eaten by mindless filler tracks, it'd still be a 4. But this album is so much deeper than the big singles that get sung at football games. "Morning Glory", "She's Electric", "Cast No Shadow", "Roll With It", and the rest of the album are very strong, well produced, and flawlessly performed. Yes, the Gallagher brothers are divisive and maybe some people don't like the vocals, but man. Terrific album. Not a weak track on here.
An absolute classic !
Every feeling I have about Oasis is colored by nostalgia. But as an American who only had a few records at the time "Wonderwall" dominated the airwaves, it's nostalgia for the singles, not the albums. Nevertheless, every few months, I'll get in a mood and put on "Oasis Essentials" or "I Miss Britpop" from Apple, the same way I'll sometimes do with U2 or R.E.M. I think this is my first time actually listening to the album all the way through. Since I got this one over the weekend, I actually decided to do the first three albums for context. "Definitely, Maybe" and "Be Here Now" felt like I was still listening to the playlist -- good stuff, but eventually it all drifted together into "Yup, that's what Oasis sounds like." But WTSMG gave me a distinctly warm feeling that I think the nostalgia must have been all about in the first place. My preferred track has always been "Champagne Supernova" over "Wonderwall," and I'm glad it comes at the end. in context, it feels more like a concluding statement to a collection of songs that I see now were nostalgic in their own way for the world the Beatles promised us but never arrived. That emotional connection rather than any kind of rock virtuosity is why it's a five for me. "How many special people change..."
Epic. Soundtrack of the 90’s starts with this. Sadly, the b-sides are just as good, if not better, than what is on the actual record.
I unapologetically love this album. I loved it when it first came out and I love it now. I own it on vinyl and I can sing every song. I don’t look too deeply into why I like it so much. It’s fun to listen to, it’s catchy, and I love Liam’s voice. Admittedly, this is the only album I really know by them, but it’s the only one I need.
Album 972 of 1089 Oasis - (What's The Story) Morning Glory (1995) Rating : 5 / 5 Albums like this are exactly why I’ve stuck with this long listening project. Not because I expected this specific one to blow me away, but because every now and then something incredible slips through the cracks of your life… and suddenly you’re sitting there wondering how in the world you missed thirty years of greatness. I know “Wonderwall” - everybody knows “Wonderwall” - and I’ve always thought it was a near-perfect song. But the rest of this album? Brand new territory for me, and it hit like a freight train. Six songs made it to my “like” list immediately, and honestly, there’s room for more. “Don’t Look Back in Anger” feels flat-out anthemic. “Champagne Supernova” just floats and swells in the best way. Even the deeper cuts have that unmistakable lift - that sense of big, emotional, open-hearted rock done right. I think back to the mid-90s and realize I was listening to a whole lot of sports talk radio instead of albums like this, and I want to go back and tell that version of me to turn off the AM dial and pick up a CD. But coming to it fresh has its own kind of magic, too. I’m aware of the Gallagher brothers’ drama, but thankfully I never absorbed the noise around this band, the hype, or the backlash. I just got to hear the music — and the music is outstanding. I’m not calling it the greatest album ever, but I am calling it one of the most instantly rewarding, beautifully written, rock-solid records I’ve heard in this entire project. A true standout. Better late than never.
don't look back in anger is one of the greatest songs of all time
Wow.This got me time travelling back in 1995 in my bedroom, only 16 yo,singing at the top of my lungs the whole album by heart, and i had it on cassette, yes,a cassette. It was the only Britpop album that got me good.I will hear it again with my more experienced ears to see if it will make any difference or change but i don't think it will. The turn in a more baladry structure (although there are loud songs here as well) with big choruses and string instrumentation really struck a chord not only in me,but in the whole universe, and fairly there was such a hype back then. And i don't give a damn about the Gallagher Bros egos. This was a perfect album, from start to finish. Most favourites: Roll With It.''I think i've got a feeling,i've lost inside''. Wonderwall. No matter how hard they try to ''rick-roll'' you with it nowadays,it still remains a masterpiece and an emblematic song of the 90's along with Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit. Don't Look Back In Anger.Noel's singing was always better, well most of the times. He just didn't had this attitude. Hey Now!I really love the lead guitar here. Cast No Shadow. This wasn't a favourite of mine back then, but my 46yo self find it great now.''As they took his soul, they stole his pride''. Champagne Supernova.Strangely this was a favourite back then, and strangely still is. Make sure if you listen this on youtube to hear it from Oasis (What's The Story) Morning Glory? [25th Anniversary Album Playback] where there are visuals for the non video tracks. Nostalgia for the good o'l me,for the good o'l times. 5/5
Abit too commercial perhaps, but the songs here are just too good for anything but a 5
- I’ve listened to this album uncountable times throughout the years. - Yeah, the Gallaghers kind of suck, but more in a “they’re wankers” way than the moral imperative ways that make me not listen to an artist (at least as far as I know, feel free to correct me if I’m wrong!). That said, if they had just formed in 2025, I probably would not have listened to them because of the way they act (and Liam’s recent racist post), but it was the 90s when I was introduced to them. - The album still holds up. I like Liam’s voice (Noel’s is fine, but can’t compete), Noel’s songwriting and chord choices (I don’t skip any songs on here, which is the rarest of the rare), the musicianship is solid, and the melodies are great. The lyrics can be dumb at times, but they’re infinitely singable, so they get a pass.
I really enjoy this album even, after removing the radio hits from consideration. Liam Gallagher's voice is so perfect in its own way. It's the perfect blend of Manchester dialect, cigs and attitude that blends it into something beautiful that couldn't fit the Oasis's sound any better. Some might say Wonderwall is because of radio fatigue, but I don't think there's a single skip on the album. They may have tried a little too hard to be the Beatles of the 21st Century, as a result may have flown a little too close to the sun, but Oasis has some serious chops. Find me a jump suit and a bucket hat to rock ASAP. Top tracks: Some Might Say, She's Electric, Don't Look Back in Anger (s/o Noel), Champagne Supernova
anyway, here's Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova and Don't Look Back In Anger 5/5
I don't know why it tickles me that Oasis is considered a lad band, or in American words, a bro-ass band and that there was a huge cultural fight about them or Blur. Still think this album is fantastic though.
One of the defining albums of my teenage years, I can’t not give it 5 stars. It holds up well after 30 years.
Noel was given the gift of a catchy tune and uses it to the fullest extent here and the lazy-cool lyrics instead of sounding cringy are somehow stadium worthy. It's a great album to listen to which has a kind of effortless simplicity that anyone has to reckon with.
Beautiful album one of my favorite 👌🏼
A stone cold classic. It has so much going for it: songwriting chops, a big, ballsy sound, a variety of styles, and best of all, shedloads of genuine attitude.
An all time classic
What a beautiful album. I was guilty of only listening to a couple songs off this record, but now that I listened to the whole thing, I found some awesome gems in there! Glad the brothers patched it up!
I hate that I really enjoy this album ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Now this is an album you must hear before you die. An album that produced six singles and sold around 18 million albums. It was the soundtrack for that period in time. You couldn’t go anywhere and not hear an Oasis song on the radio, on MTV, in a store, or in a passing vehicle. You couldn’t go anywhere and not hear how much it seemed the Gallagher brothers, Liam, the lead singer, and Noel, the guitarist/songwriter, hated each other. I’m not sure what the deal was with the Gallagher brothers. Was Liam a little upset that he was essentially regurgitating his brother's words, and he was just looked at as a typical a-hole lead singer? Was Noel upset that his brother, as the frontman, was getting all the attention? All the magazine covers? Did Noel's writing and singing Don’t Look Back in Anger push Liam to the breaking point? Make Liam feel like maybe he wasn’t as important to the band anymore? Were they both just drunk idiots? Whatever the case, their feuding produced great music. It happens like that sometimes. I remember reading that early on in the Who Roger Daltrey and Pete Townsend were fighting all the time. Their band was like Oasis, Daltrey the face and voice of the Who, and Townsend the songwriter supplying Daltrey with what to say. Daltrey said he had to realize he was Pete’s voice, and he had to stop fighting Pete and just be the musical instrument for Townsend to put his lyrics out to the masses. Or something like that. I guess maybe Liam never could do that. Or who cares? (What’s the Story) Morning Glory is a beautiful album, and I could gush about how it truly brings that moment in time flooding back to my memory. The carefree days as a teeneager with no worries or cares who just gets to hang out, do nothing, and listen to music all day. I didn’t buy this CD when it came out. Hell, you could hear most of it on the radio. I was still a metalhead, but you couldn’t escape this album. As I got older and music got….um, free-er, I played one of the Guitar Hero/Rock Band games, and one of the songs on it was Don’t Look Back in Anger and I was blown away. I truly think it’s one of the best songs from the '90s, maybe of all time. It just really hits me everytime I hear it. Plus, Noel’s singing and guitar work are incredible. I’ve written a bunch of nothing, so I’ll end with this. If you want to hear what the world was listening to in late 1995 through 1996, it’s this album. It’s brilliant and though some may think it’s over-rated, when a song or album has been woven into your memories as a certain period of time, it’s a classic. (What’s the Story)Morning Glory certainly does that for me.
Song many great songs on this album. I know Wonderwall is a meme but it really is a great album
Solid album. The album opens with hit after hit and a big dose of nostalgia. Despite being 30 years old, it holds up incredibly well and made me understand why there's so much excitement around their world tour. I really enjoyed this album and instantly went back for another listen. Stand out tracks: Roll with it, Wonderwall, Don't Look Back In Anger, Some May Say & Champagne Supernova!
One of the all time greats. Who does not like this album?
Bangeren "Some Might Say" og vibelåta "Hey now!".
wonderwall is mid
No difficult second album syndrome here. Is it better than Definitely Maybe? Maybe. The first album was bright, brash, and arguably had more tunes. This is more grown up, considered, but still rocks like a cradle in a strong breeze. And has a lot of tunes. Take your five stars, gents.
It’s damn near a perfect, no skip album. It’s really too bad two assholes made such wonderful music.
Awesome classic. Great hits, but also great supporting songs.
DID I MENTION I SAW THEM LIVE
An absolute colossus of an album. Every single track will continue to get radio play until they bury the last member of Generation X.
Banger after banger. I like Britpop and Oasis so maybe there is bias, I however enjoyed the album as a whole and there weren't many tracks that were filler.
I'm just a basic Britpop bitch
Five Star Album. All bangers. You just got to roll with it.
Was so tempted to give this 4 stars because of wonderwall. lol.
So back
Nice to listen to again, has been a while!
Where did the wonderwall meme come from ?
What a sound. Guitar ranges from incredibly powerful to sincere and sweet. Each song has a passion to it. Highly recomend
Look this isn't which music is the best, and which is the worst. It's which I enjoy most, and which do I enjoy the least, and I enjoy this album front to back. Pure nostalgia, '90s good times. Love it. Five stars.
Ne možeš kontra ovakve kolekcije hitova
So...this is why everyone loves Oasis. I LOVE this album, my favorite on the list so far. I can't even decide my favorite track because they are ALL amazing
A 5 star album that became a big part of my life and helped me get through my mid twenties. There are so many happy memories associated with some of these songs, from listening to a group of primary school leavers rewriting one of the songs to sing how they had got through school with the help of a "Mitreball" to the songs blaring out through coach speakers on a football road trip through Germany. For album highlights, close your eyes and stick a pin in the track listing's.
100/100
One of the greatest records of the 90s. Timeless classic alt rock band.
What a year for music 1995 was. Radiohead made their mark as the next great alt-rock band with The Bends, Alanis Morissette captured the angst of the era with Jagged Little Pill, and then there was (What's The Story) Morning Glory. I'm not a big enough Oasis fan to justify spending several hundred dollars to see a reunion show, but there's no denying the greatness here. A bunch of midtempo rock and roll ballads that you can belt out after a few pints with friends or alone in your room, and haven't lost their appeal 30 years later. Favorites are Hello, Don't Look Back in Anger, and Champagne Supernova, but really anything on here rules. Anyway, here's Wonderwall.
all your dreams are made when your chained to the mirror and the razor blade today's the day when all the world will see
30 years later it still gets me. A classic of it's time.
This record has all the tracks I know from Oasis. It's amazing. Every track in here slaps. There were no misses here. Favourite Track(s): Don't Look Back in Anger, She's Electric, Wonderwall Least Favourite Track(s): Roll With It, Hello
no skips
Once was my favorite album on earth
ha
The music of my generation.
In my head canon all of the conflict between the Gallagher brothers comes down to one of them wanting that waily harmonica on this album and the other one didn’t. It’s an otherwise no skips album
Love this album. Proper britpop
Flashback to my university days. Love this album!
My favorite album of all time. It’s the best start to finish. If I was stranded on an island with only one album to listen to, it would be this one.
Yeah, it’s pretty basic at times. A bit generic with lots of pastiche. But, fuck me, it’s a really good album. Really good. So, I'm basic, sure. Hell, I still think Status Quo's Piledriver album from 1972 is well worth a listen. There's something to be said for basic. Especially when it produces an album full of absolute bangers like this does. I don't care if this is Oasis. I don't care about the drama, the fights, the Brit Pop battles, the ticket prices. This is a really fucking good album. My wife seems to know every word of it. Neither of us are Oasis fans. It didn't even cross our minds to get in the queues for tickets. But this is an easy 5 stars.
Their second album. Rock / Brit Pop / Indie. There were a couple of fucking good sunmers in England in the 90s. 1995 was one of them. Sunshine, East and Central London was my hangout, little bit of Cornwall thrown in. This album was everywhere. Punchy sing a long anthems throughout. From Hello to Don't Look Back In Anger to Cast No Shadow to Champagne Supernova and all in-between. My mates and I, road trips, gigs, pubs, chasing girls, no cares in the world and waking up feeling that anything was possible. Man, I had a great fucking summer that year ! Also where the album cover was photographed there was a pub called The Green Man where we would often meet for beers.
An absolute gift this album.
Anyway…
I obviously know their hits well, and I've seen their videos a million times, but I never owned this CD and I'm not sure I ever heard the album in its entirety. And I could see why it is so beloved.
buy now hummus and a wow extra large falafel meal for two
Hey Now
Stellar album start to finish.
9/17/25. Been a fan of this album for years. It may not be as high on my personal rankings, but it still resonates with me - each song grabs your attention quickly and have a climatic feel.
Mancunian classic innit mate
I absolutely loved it
as good as it gets.

It's funny how your opinion of a band or their music can change with an event, an experience with friends and family or something just clicks. Never was an Oasis fan even though these guys are one of my son's favorite bands and we generally click with our music. Liam has one of the most punchable faces in music and while I still feel that way, my opinion of Oasis completely changed on Saturday, July 26, 2025. My son got tickets to the reunion tour and we were there at Wembley Stadium (damn those stairs!). No doubt this was something special. With almost 100,000 fans, plenty of pints before and during, the electricity and excitement was something special. This was my formal introduction to Oasis and the boys blew me away. I am now a fan of Oasis. I'd still punch Liam though. Listening to this album got me excited all over again. Nothing will ever beat the live experience, but damn, so many songs I heard live were from this album and I couldn't help but smile. Like the album, the concert opener was Hello and damn, I got goosebumps just typing that line and remembering that night. From start to finish, this is a great album. I know my review has focused on the concert, but this late-50 year old dude has been rocking out to the library like it was the early 90's. Thank you, Luke. Thank you, London. Thank you, Oasis. 5
Hell yeah
I’m not a fan of the Gallagher brothers but this album blew up summer 95 in Australia. I was only a young man and this album rocked. I believe this album ignited the fuel of Britpop!
I hate the Gallagher brothers but this album changed UK music
Omg probably one of the best albums of the 90s hands down! I love this album it was so formative in my music tastes and I still listen to it today!
Simply amazing album and a show why oasis is one of the best bands out there
Great Beatle-faced pop songs with a bit of an edge that, honestly, seems a little forced. I think they think they're kinda scary but I think they just studied their Lennon-McCartney and learned a thing or two.
More bombast, loud guitars and great songs! Soundtrack to a generation and still sounds good today. Vocals and song writing are a step up from Definitely Maybe and great to hear Noel sing for the first time.
Classic album! Even the album cuts hit!
One of the 90’s top albums. 5 stars
All timer. 5*
An underrated album from a criminally underrated band
Classic
Not a step wrong on this album (ignoring the borrowing of hello). It perfectly encapsulates the time it was from, but also stays as relevant as vibrant as ever.
Look, I tried to be all edgy because that’s my schtick. But I can’t. It’s a masterpiece.
The whole 'being a teenager in the UK in the 90s' thing means Oasis were inescapable, and I liked them but I was never their biggest fan (Blur over Oasis, and Pulp over both). However I would have said Definitely Maybe would have been my favourite Oasis album, and I gave it a 4 when it popped up on the Album Generator. I think I need to reevaluate my Oasis rankings. (WTS)MG? still suffers from the same issue (for me) that all Oasis does, namely that I like Noel's voice so much better than Liam's, but this is objectively a great album. I get that Wonderwall is hated by many people due to being played to death, memed to death and generally invading people's dreams while they sleep, but it got to that level of ubiquity because its a good song. Not as good as Don't Look Back In Anger, but a good song nonetheless. And this album has She's Electric which I always loved too, not least because Noel's backing vocals are genuinely beautiful. Honestly, if I had half stars this would be a 4.5 (because of nasally Liam), but I don't and I genuinely don't think this deserves to lose a whole star. So.... 5/5
Some great nostalgia stirred up by this one. One of the seminal albums of my youth: Year 7, Euro '96, Britpop... good times
Tuerie
Definitely not their best album, Maybe their second
A Britpop classic!
really enjoyed the music, everything fits together so perfectly.
Genuinely a good listen, yes people might get a bit tired of Wonderwall but the album as a whole is great and I think you should give it a try
Unfortunately I think this may be my favorite album on the entire list. Liam Gallagher you will always be kinda gay for your brother <3
this feels like the kind of album that would have changed my brain chemistry if i'd heard it at age 14. at 29, it mostly just changed my mood by being fun to listen to. was it a perfect album? maybe not, but it was well made and a good time, and sometimes that's exactly what you need. really liked this one!
This is one of the first major albums I can recall hearing where The Beatles had a noticeable impact on the generation of music makers who came up after them in Britain. The group shines here on their second album—all their most notable hits are here, along with a few songs that come in and surround you like a warm hug. Honestly, this album is like greeting an old friend at times. Hello there, “She’s Electric!” Ah yes, “Morning Glory,” how could I forget about you? And here’s good old “Wonderwall”, whose signature guitar progression carries us through the album. There’s a reason this album is noteworthy—and a reason it reinvigorated Brit Pop for the decade following its release. Absolute gem of a listen.
The only modern rock band that matters
This is the first album I ever purchased and will always be a favorite. I can listen to it start to finish and sing along the whole way through.
имба.
Top 10 British album of the 90s for me
greaat
Hard to deny how good this album is, certified 5 ⭐️
I thought that Definitely Maybe was incredible but I think this one is better. Love it! Adding to the record collection ✊🏾
Bizarre - going to see Oasis at Wembley tomorrow!!! Obvs a lifetime classic album. No notes.
listened to a little while getting ready for a date at pho and then listened to the rest while having sex w alex. classic album
An all time classic with hit after hit and some good fillers. Anyways, Alexa play wonderwall.
There are not many albums that can have me singing along loudly to every track, but this is one of them. A loud, proud, festival of fun from start to finish.
Wonderwall is one of my favorite songs ever so this album automatically gets 5 stars
I may only be rating this so high because I’m in the heat of the summer but this album has a bunch of absolute seasonal bangers. It’s a good album for sure but there’s something about hearing Champaign Supernova this time of year. I also forgot just how many hits this album has on it. You may not love the genre but this is a crazy influential rock album for the decade.
Surprised at how many songs i actually knew and liked
Es un shot de energía roquera 🔥
One of the best catalogues of music out there. My only gripe is that I don't feel like the songs are ordered correctly to really make this album feel complete.
Great album.. Great songs. A band really excited about what it was capable of. A lot happened after this, but at this point, Oasis were fantastic.
Wish I’d gone live
Most of the songs here have nice, catchy melodies and quite good lyrics.
9/10 Look, I'm not objective, this album shaped for better or worse my preteen years and trying to be objective is near impossible with this album for me. Here's an review I wrote nearly 10 years ago for r/music The album starts with a familiar acoustic guitar intro with birds before the band announces Hello, a track with a glam rock flavor in its chorus, Roll With It is a nice way to finish up this 1-2 punch before the ballad of the album get's the highlight of the hour, so many things have been said of this track but it's sparse instrumentation is key when you think about of why does it work. The drums in this album were certainly well done by Alan White that gave tracks as the previously named Wonderwall, She's Electric and Cast No Shadow a life their previous more rock based drummer wouldn't have dreamed. The title track is a great rocker with a REM twist, after which there's the second instrumental that bridges the last two songs of the album. When the final chorus of Champagne Supernova is reached we get a band who is living the dream of being the most important band of the world, even if it's just for 50 minutes.
