So so fun!
Ah, a Yeah Yeah Yeahs album, and one of their finest at that. "Runaway" is an eternal masterpiece, and "Zero" is a perfect opener.
I think this album is like an isolated triumph of pop based rock in a time when it stands as an anomaly. I wish there were more albums that had this lush fun edgy feel.
One of the most enjoyable albums I've listened to in a while.

Great fucking album. The more dance/pop oriented sound fits Yeah Yeah Yeahs really well, and Karen O has a superb voice throughout. It nearly lost me in the middle, but quickly brought my attention back into it with all strong songs til the end

Absolutely fire, I have heard it for the first time 10 years ago and it still hits hard.
I only knew Heads Will Roll, first time hearing the whole album and I really dig it! Post-punk is one of my favorite genre but oftentimes its woefully underrated/unoriginal a lot of the time. Not this album, the punk voice with the heavy rock tune mixed with the whacky electronic noises makes the whole thing masterful!
This was a surprisingly good album. The vibe is upbeat and cool. Very consistent. A very easy listen.

I liked hysteric and zero and skeleton
A few things. This far in, obviously my perception of 4 vs 5 is evolving. I did Fever to Tell as a 4, but that's because I really liked some songs, but mostly the more minimal ones. But this album has a lot more atmosphere to it. Skeletons is really good. It also has the acoustic version of Hysteric which means a lot to me. Also, Little Shadow is just a beautiful song to me. So, this one is a 4.5 for me, despite Fever to Tell being the more appreciated one.
The purpose of this exercise isn't really to be objective, but even then I *really* can't be objective about this. "Zero" is one of my all time favorite songs, and as time has gone on I've warmed more and more to the ballads, which I initially didn't like when I heard this album years ago. Sort of funny the YYYs did a synthpop album one time at (what's now) the midpoint of their career and decided to never do that again. What's even funnier is how naturally it worked for them. Fuck it...

A lovely album from beginning to end, grungy guitars and keys, Karen O howls and growls and can sing so softly and sweetly. Fantastic album and extra cool to have the deluxe version on Apple Music which had additional acoustic versions of the songs.

This was not what I was expecting after listing to and loving “fever to tell” an album of raw emotion. This album is much more refined, with synth and dance beats but Karen O’s voice and lyrics remain just as powerful. This album is amazing, I’d call out a few favorite songs on the album but they are all great. Listened twice and the arrangement of the songs is perfect. Turn this one up! This album gets a 5 plus from me. In looking at the album art of “it’s blitz” I have to compare it to “fever to tell” which like its music is chaotic, loud, powerful maybe even a little ugly (but in a good way). “It’s blitz” is very clean, very polished but still a powerful image. Amazing how both albums cover convey the music within. And both covers could be art on the wall.

Fantastic. One of the best albums I’ve seen on this list (along with Beck’s Guero). This might have been the peak for them, as far as I’m concerned. One of my favorite albums, period.
Oh man - I had but written off this band as a relic of the noughties garage rock revival - but what a banger factory of a record. Song after song of memorable hooks and even though I’d heard this over a decade ago - I felt it was just yesterday that I was playing this album. Who would have thought the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are a breakthrough for their era. Good stuff.

I like the album a lot and you can tell it’s from 2009 cus they had so many eggs back then and they were cheap so it’s kinda interesting to see how they were so wasteful back then w egg respire ces. Lord only knows how many times they took that photo too tbh I’m disgusted

Zero - good. Heads Will Roll - I like the drums. Wasn’t this in Rock Band? But it’s always struck me as repetitive and whiny, vocally. Skeletons - I like the instrumentation. Song feels “deep”. Layers of sound. Dull Life - I liked the beginning more than the end. I think Runaway - I don’t like the record-skip repetition she does across multiple songs. I feel like it’s fine once but don’t like using it twice+ in the same album. The song itself felt interesting throughout even though it wasn’t. Loud. Or whatever. So far this album feels like, thematically cohesive. No song has felt like it sticks out or doesn’t belong. Dragon Queen - zoned out through this song. Remember the beginning being kind of interesting. Hysteric - again I like the drums and the pulsing (synth? What is that?) in the background. Vocals/lyrics underwhelming or I didn’t notice them. Little Shadow - very 2000s. Resonant.

Zero and Heads Will Roll are great - I like Karen Os voice a lot and the guitars/basslines on the tracks are super sick. Runaway was a standout - Dragon Queen has an interesting melody/guitar track. really enjoyable
One of best albums of the 21st century.
This is a fun album - charismatic voice, great production, no filler. I really enjoyed this. Stand outs are Zero, Hysteric, Soft Shot and Heads Will Roll. My 16 year old son said Heads Will Roll is still a house party staple, can get play in weight rooms. Best album generated on this program so far.

Nice! A bit more alternative than I expected
Starts strong with abrasive synths and Karen O’s plaintive, howling and sensuous voice. Then moves from punk dance to a softer more melodic tone before becoming more garagey and then finishing with an artsy vibe. Overall a great album, which I could listen to over and over
1st song: just that intro told me I was in for a good time 2nd song: I DIDNT KNOW THIS SONG WAS FROM THESE GUYS Skeletons: 😭 Dull Life: NOT DULL AT ALL This album is groovy and has so many great build ups!! No skips for me!

I really think I'm going to give this a 5. It just fits what I like so well. There's a great mix between slow and fast, techno and acoustic and the singing is amazing. All of the beats hit so well, and I truly adore this album

Great album from start to finish. I'm partial to the genre, and Heads Will Roll is quite well known, but this is some indie-rock (indie-pop) at its peak. Keeping this one in rotation.
I had heard some songs from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs before listening to this album. However, my expectations were way exceeded upon listening! I loved the balance of slower and faster songs, as well as the inclusion of strong string and percussion instruments. Definitely will listen again and to more things from this band.

I listened to a lot of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs when they first hit the scene, but I was living abroad when this album released and never really listened to it. Shame, because it's fucking excellent.
Wortwhile and easy to listen to alternative Pop.
On the first run I loved the first few tracks and got bored later on. On the second run I learned to appreciate one more song, and so on. Now I love it all and I've also revalued fever to tell, they both deserve 5 stars, this woman is amazing
An album I saw was generated and immediately thought would be forgettable. A band I had written off because of my sincere lack of interest in the indie groups they were associated with in the early 2000s. I loved this album and was immediately reminded of Au Revoir Simone and a happy version of Beach House. This I will revisit.

I hadn't listened to the whole album and it's really a solid effort. Such great party tunes and some very nice ups and downs across the record.
It's pop-y, it's dance-y, it's INCREDIBLY millennial. But it's just very very good. Great singles, cohesive as an album, edge-y without being harsh. Iconic.
My brain chemistry changed at 9 years old hearing Heads Will Roll for the first time. One of the greatest dance songs of this generation. Obsessed w this full album. Such chaotic, spooky vibes. Everything I love.

Cool It Down was my favourite record from 2022, and It's a Blitz! is their second-best album. It is not as perfect as Cool It Down (or perhaps I like their version of shoegaze even more than their version of electro-pop). But anyway: no weak songs and many great ones (and sometimes the music is not even that far away from Cool It Down). For me, this was a 4-star album (8/10) in 2009 and it is true that a couple of songs in the middle (Dull Life / Shame and Fortune) are a bit less memorable, but after non-stop listening to it today I rate it as 5-star (9/10) in 2023.
Wow! I had heard a few Yeah Yeah Yeahs songs before (and like them) but I was not expecting this. What a great album. No song is lacking. The whole album is dynamic and the lead singer is perfect. How this band didn’t take over the world in the 00s is lost on me. Highlights are Heads will Roll, Dull Life, Runaway, Little Shadow. 10/10.
Loved this, can’t believe I’ve not listened to this whole album before. A great mix of bangers, more chilled out numbers and some more beautiful, deep, complex tracks that definitely need another listen.

I have never listened to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs before but apparently this is a progression from rock to dance. 'Zero' is rather good -- I can tell how it has both rock and dance influences. This is a very good dance album from the first two songs! Probably 9/10 -- either 4 or 5 -- probably 4. Nice length. Definite 9/10 but also 4/5. Not quite 5 but very, very good! (This was my first time listening: I have yet to award 5 stars to an album I have never heard of or never listened to a little bit of, like this one). That said, I have added it to my library and will definitely be listening again. Actually, despite being 9/10, I think it is a 5. All the songs were very good.

It's Blitz! is a fantastic album, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs have melded synth-punk with alt pop in a way that just makes sense. It's upbeat tempo coupled with the emotional lyrics let you know that they want you to forget about your loneliness/heartbreak by literally dancing the blues away. Best: Heads Will Roll Worst: Hysteric

Really good! Some of the songs just kind of passed me by, but there were some excellent indie bangers. I have to say I prefer the A-Trak remix of Heads Will Roll to the original, but it's still great. The acoustic tracks were pretty too. Dull Life and Runaway stood out especially to me. This is a fun album and I found a few songs I'll absolutely come back to. Favourite: Dull Life

I adore this album. From the epic opening one-two punch of dance jams “Zero” and “Heads Will Roll” to the quiet bedroom pop of “Little Shadow,” this is an exceptionally well-rounded and sequenced album. I have a strong nostalgic attachment to this album too. I played it a ton in college (working at the radio station, it was one of those albums all the DJs got excited about) and Dree and I listened to it a lot together in our early months of dating. But aside from my own emotional attachment, there’s no denying this album is excellent. It’s filled with big hooks, big emotions, hard rock and dance songs (I love the sexy electro-funk of “Dragon Queen”), alongside more tender moments (I totally forgot about “Hysteric” until it came on and it just totally overwhelmed me with emotions - such a great love song). One of my all-time favorite album covers too.
Killer indie country pop punk goodness. Pulls off both a lovely head-bopping energy and downtempo ballads. Don't sleep on the acoustic covers! 4.8/5

Love it! Fabulous range from dancy synth pop to dreamy, lyrical tracks. Zero and Heads Will Roll both made it into Triple J's Hottest 100 of 2009 so the album is definitely part of the soundtrack of that year. Karen O's voice alternatively soars and soothes. This album is tight and well deserves its place in this compilation.
I love the synths melting and enveloping into the rock sound like a butter on a toasted bread. It's so delicious and mood uplifting, like a good breakfast on a peaceful morning. Those kinds of morning where one tries to think about their life decisions with a hint of nostalgia. It's another oddly sad yet happy indie rock from the 2000's. I dunno what exactly drives them. Hope? Nostalgia? I dunno, but I love it. It's one of my favorite parts of the '00s music scene. Karen O has such a sweet voice. And I love how she drives the energy of the synths and the emotion of the album's tracks. Overall, it's an indie perfection. Inconsistent, but that only made it better. It felt like the musical version of "finding yourself". It's so soothing and mood uplifting. Yes, the BLITZ! title with an egg being... squeezed in the cover seems misleading in terms of sound, but it nailed my reaction to the album. It's freaking BLITZ!
This is one of my favorite albums. I saw them live at Coachella one year and was in awe of their talent.

i'm really happy that my first album back after a hiatus from the 1001 could be such a good one. at times reflective and at times totally wild, Karen O's fantastic vocal performance takes this over the top 10/10

I love this band! Each track is distinct and reminds me of a time when I was in university and the world seemed full of possibilities. Karen's voice is awesome, and every track in this album is cohesive and perfect. I'd almost forgotten that this band existed, so this is a good reminder to have this album on rotation, especially when I feel down.

Ik dacht dat 'yeah yeah yeahs' een soort DJ-achtig collectief was. But boy, was I wrong. Het blijkt een erg goeie indie-rock band te zijn, met een heel sterk album. 'Heads Will Roll' was een grote hit, maar staat wat ver af van de sound van de rest van het album dat heel wat meer gitaarwerk heeft. Heel er leuke verrassing die ik moet onthouden

A slightly generous 4 as the album dips a bit around the middle, but I really like a lot of the songs on here and I find her singing really authentic, varied and affecting, including on the acoustic versions. And that lovely change on ‘hang heav-y’ in Hysteric really gets in there for me.
I was a student radio DJ in 2001 and played a song ("Miles Away") from their first EP just after it came out because I'm much cooler than you. I then really enjoyed their debut album but didn't keep up with them after that - apart from hearing "Gold Lion" on nights out. This sounds like they've gone full indie-electro in the Kitsuné style of the mid-late 2000s. It works for them and with her voice. I thought the guitarist was great though, so it's a shame the guitaring has been dialled down.
Very good first listen through - the final two songs seemed really great in particular - looking forward to revisiting soon

I went into this album with zero expectations. I knew heads will roll but I was surprised by the quality of the other tracks on this album. My favorites were Hysteric and skeletons.
155 albums ago I had Fever to Tell, and came away with it feeling it was underwhelming, especially the last 1/3rd of the album. I didn't get the appeal of Maps. It's Blitz according to Wikipedia is more synth-focused, which might be more up my alley. I liked Zero and faintly remembered Heads Will Roll, I think I heard the remix of that song more than Heads Will Roll itself. Soft Shock was okay. The next four consecutive songs were my favorite parts of the album, the loud synths and jammy guitar were cooler than anything I heard from Fever to Tell. The rest of the album is okay. I don't know what about it can't make me feel more engaged or enthralled about the music. It's good enough but doesn't wow me. I think It's Blitz is a better album than Fever to Tell, but I'm not really clamoring to hear any more Yeah Yeah Yeahs. They aren't bad (and are certainly better than some 2000s cliche rock bands on this list) but it's not inspiring me enough to put on these albums again. Some of the songs on It's Blitz I probably won't mind relistening to on my big shuffle music playlist, but I wouldn't really care to see the band live. If they're at a festival and not co-headlining, I'd probably see them then. Part of that problem I think lies in the decline of rockism/rock's dominance in the 2000s, falling its influence to electronic and hip hop. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs managed to float along with the rise of American electronic-influence in everything of the late 2000s fairly well. Not much of a remarkable fact, but it's something.

I have a bias for this album, I’ve been listening to songs from it since I was a kid. I love her voice and the feel of the songs, but some do fall a little flat. but out of all the albums i’ve listened through on here, this one is the closest to my specific music taste. saw a review that said “just one of those albums that seems to go with you through life” and i agree with that my personal favs are runaway & hysteric (also little shadow makes me emotional but not quite sure why)

Really enjoyed this! Great start with Zero and Heads Will Roll. I sort of expected more of a punk-ish album like their debut, but the back half of this album got into more of an alternative, kinda poppy sound. Idk. I liked the variety. Like every song had its own distinctive identity.

I always have time for Yeah Yeah Yeahs. While this isn't my favourite album of theirs, it's still quite good.
Real catchy songs. Solid album
(Light to decent 8/10) This album begins on a very deceptive note, "Zero" and "Heads Will Roll" are legendary indie-scene ragers that get your feet moving and your heart racing. The latter is a dancefloor masterpiece that never ceases to get the crowd going. The album sharply hits the brakes though on "Soft Shock", which is a nice song on it's own, but the album flow really struggles because of it. "Skeletons" also sadly contributes to this, as it pretty much slows the record to a halt. It's a fine song on it's own, but it just doesn't work for me at this point in the tracklist. Gratefully the incredible "Dull Life" trickles in unassumingly, thinking it'll be another slow jam I couldn't be more wrong. It's got pounding drums, heavy guitars and a super energetic Karen O performance. This amazing breath of fresh air is followed by more quality tracks, each one doing well to keep the momentum going until the end. "Hysteric" and "Little Shadow" are a little uninteresting outside of sounding nice, but because of this the album ends kind of with a whimper. That's my biggest complaint here, the album flow is very bizarre, and for an album called "It's Blitz!" and the album cover being what it is, you would think this album would be a non-stop party, but really it's more mellow than you'd be led to believe. That's not to say the deep cuts are bad, like I said the middle of the record post-dull life is still quite good, it's just instead of building up to "Heads will Roll" we started at the climax and just kind of rolled to a stop. This would end up being the last YYYs album to be considered a classic, even though their newest one in 2022 does have a few bangers on it. It's Blitz is a late oughts indie classic with questionable album flow but undeniable tunes on it.
An interesting blend of synths and rock that really embodies the spirit of 00's rock. I'd like it more if it was a little more out there, but it is perfectly decent. The instrumentals and vocals are catchy, albeit simple. I feel like this is mostly on this list thanks to "heads will roll", but I am not mad about its presence on this list. Definitely more listenable than a lot of other records on this list that are here by virtue of one smash hit. It actually has some pretty high highs with the ending of "Run Away" including a large almost orchestral sound that sweeps you away, while not having big lows as far as I heard. I don't care for the acoustic versions of the songs, but they are part of the deluxe edition, so I don't take them into consideration for the scoring. Actually enjoyed this record more than I'd have expected. 8/10

This is not something I'd go for normally, but something was really quite appealing about it. It sucked me in. It has a funky indie sound and a weird woman making noises that can barely be considered singing at times. There were some fun tracks and even the slower ones were something I could listen to on a wind-down as they feel well produced and with decent musicians. It did fade by the end a little. The only thing is I feel as though it's a bit 'young' and I should have appreciated it when I was in my early 20s upon release instead. It doesn't feel like a timeless classic but I can mentally place it in the right context... I know what I mean by that.

When the mid/late-00s indie rock scene was exploding, I was too busy going in deep on all of my favorite punk labels and records and barely had time for anything else. As a result, I've heard of a lot of bands from the period but can't say I'm super familiar with their music. I had heard one song from this album previously ("Heads Will Roll") but couldn't have told you this album even existed haha. All in all, I enjoyed this a good deal. Karen O has a great voice and shines when being both a laid back and a little more ferocious. The music followed suit, working when both energetic and when settling into a quieter groove. My favorite track is probably "Dragon Queen".

A very synth-heavy pop/rock album that makes for a pretty interesting listen overall. It features a few excellent tracks, such as "Zero," "Heads Will Roll," and especially the energetic "Dull Life." The rest of the record isn't quite of the same quality, though there aren't any bad songs either. I really like Karen O's vocals, although the lyrics feel a bit meaningless across the board. Oh well, that doesn't really matter. The bonus acoustic versions are also quite nice. All in all, this was a nice find.

I have been somewhat familiar with the band and album but haven’t really dived in before. It’s solid - some well crafted songs, more energy than I was anticipating along with a bit of aggression at times. Overall a cool album I’ll keep them in my rotation.

holy crap, it's been ages since i've listened to these guys again, pretty sure the last time was in 2023! this right here is their third album; the album ended up getting leaked online so they had to push the release sooner. this group has always been something of a neat little oddity, just a group of three people getting together and seeing what cooks in the oven. a lot of musicians, when they release more new albums, they just focus on refining and polishing their existing sound, but it seems like with these guys, the musical takes just ultimately depend on the day and mood. in this album, they're dipping their toes in the world of pop stuff. right off the bat, i think this sound works for the group a LOT, especially on vocalist karen o. her voice was a big part of the last album i heard from them, but the way she shouts and sings, it literally just... it works better here. it fits more for pop versus punk. the band has a lot of fun with some of the arrangements on these tracks. maybe i've talked about it before, but when indie music gets into carefree, dancey poppy territory, i'm usually a bit of a fan. when it doesn't get dancey, it gets quite dreamy and lovely. i wanna listen to this album in a club, all wasted. it would probably feel REALLY good, getting all the shimmies out while this blasts from a few speakers.

I know this album and artist. These guys were perfect for the time, just like the Strokes, that sleazy-bar-indie rock scene.
This album was definitely a staple of the 2010s indie and dance scene. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs started off with a gritty garage rock sound, but this album shifted toward a more polished, electronic driven dance punk direction. The track that really blew them up beyond indie circles was the A-Trak remix of “Heads Will Roll,” which became a massive club hit. It’s still a fun album to revisit, but because it was such a defining part of its era, it definitely feels locked into that specific time period. That said, it still holds up well as a high point in the dance rock crossover trend of the late 2000s and early 2010s.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs – It's Blitz! (2009) On Day 195, I dove into my very first experience listening to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and it turned out to be a great modern discovery. To me, the album sounded remarkably ambient, carrying a distinct style that feels reminiscent of a Radiohead influence. It manages to hold onto a deeply cinematic feel while remaining consistently groovy throughout the runtime. This record is exceptionally well-produced, cinematic, and rich in sound, delivering exactly what I would expect from a high-tier modern LP. While it didn't leave me with an overwhelming number of individual standouts, the project is incredibly cohesive from start to finish. "Soft Shock" was a major highlight for me, perfectly capturing that groovy yet cinematic atmosphere. "Heads Will Roll" brought a fantastic, dark energy backed by great riffs, while the ambient aesthetic continued beautifully onto "Skeletons," featuring an ascending production style that is an absolute masterclass. Other tracks that easily stood out to me during the session included "Shame and Fortune" and "Hysteric." It's a thoroughly strong, cohesive body of work. A definitive 4/5.
For me, Yeah Yeah Yeahs are a band that's better with singles than albums. It seems like most of their albums feature The Best Single of Year Whatever, sometimes two or even three of the best (like It's Blitz does), but then the rest of the album is... pretty good but not great? See "Maps" and "Spitting Off the Edge of the World" as examples from other albums. On It's Blitz, it's frontloaded with these bangers, "Zero" and "Heads Will Roll." SsOTY. The whole album has a great sound, but it loses my attention. It's got such a great sound, that I'd be inclined to include this on a giant list of 1000+ must-hear albums, sure. Of course, that's partially because this is one of the few albums that would show up on my list suitable for a strobes-and-neon dance party at my alleged club. It might be my favorite YYYs album, maybe?, but it's still a 3.5/5 for me.

This is why I listen to this list still. Once in a while I come across a band I know, but who's album I never considered owning. Now I will. Also, the top comment made me laugh "when your mom age 22 sags in the middle"? Most mums aren't 22, but also what a young age to be discussing "aging" I assume a typo. Or, I hope a typo because if 22 was the age we start "aging" out the patriarchy is worse than I thought.

I think before this, the only song I knew by this artist was "Maps," which I love (and is not on this album). This is great! Vibey indie rock that had me dancing along. It has an extremely strong start (where all the singles are), and while it doesn't manage to keep all of that momentum throughout, it was always interesting and enjoyable. 8/10 Most Excellent

Great synthesis of aughts-indie with punk-like energy and some electronic flourishes. Karen O is like the prototypical frontwoman for a band like this (following in the footsteps of Debbie Harry and Chrissy Hynde) and is pretty much just an overall badass. Great, driving energy and some banger songs (Heads Will Roll in particular). Don't think it's quite 5 stars for me but pretty damn good.

Day 2 - I love the change of pace in the middle of the album, with the song runaway I felt like I had a time to think and ingest the rest of the loud and chaotic album, Its like slowing changing throughout the album and makes it feel complete.

I have a bit of a soft spot for the yeah yeah yeahs I won’t lie. First half of the album got those punchy tunes I just love. Second half much slower but I don’t mind it at all on this album
Heads Will Roll easily clears the rest but Dull Life and Soft Shock are fun. Some of the songs miss the mark for me, but the sound is so varied, I'm sure it has something for you.
Sick as all hell. obviously maps is an all time classic, but this is just a great pop punk rock synth album. I could dance to it, feel it, loved the guitar and drums. Her voice is so good too. Not the absolute first rate, but a great record.

+Great production +Interesting sound design +Great playing and singing +Heads Will Roll On paper, this album checks all the boxes. It sounds interesting and artsy, yet approachable. To me, however, it lacks the emotional content that elevates an album from being good to great. It does not want to make me dance and shout, nor does it make me want to sit back, reflect and get goosebumps. Why 4 then? Heads Will Roll is a banger, and I still enjoy this sort of music much more than the 60-70s whiteboy blues that this 1001 album catalogue is full of.

I had Fever To Tell back in November 2025 and I gave it two stars. It was very abrasive sounding and Karen O's singing got on my nerves almost every song. With that in mind, I wasn't looking forward to listening to this today. This was mostly due to having never heard any of these songs before. I was pleasantly surprised right from the start, as this was a very different sound for the band and for her as well. She was understated rather than the shrieky sound from the previous album. As the album progressed I found myself bopping to most of the songs, and liked the slower ones as well. As opposed to the first album where I disliked most of the tracks, here I didn't find any that I outright didn't enjoy on some level. Standouts were Heads Will Roll, Soft Shock, and Hysteric. I know I write this frequently, but this is the reason I keep going on with the project. There are enough of these very pleasant surprises to keep my interest going through some of the tougher ones to get through.
Another in a long line 4's that I'd like to revisit but will probably forget to.

I heard it when it came out but it didn't break through to me like their previous record. It's a lot better than I gave it credit for and enjoyed listening to it a couple of times. The first half is stronger but the back half gets buoyed by Hysteric.

Woo, it's another band from the 2000s that I never got into; let's find out why. In the boppy tracks, I like the synths happening in the background. I also like the slower, more restrained track "Skeletons," with the insistent beat growing more intense in the background as the song continues. Good songs, though I don't think it's super original material; I'm getting that "I like the bands that they borrowed this stuff from" feeling from this. Which is ok! I don't have a huge urge to listen to this album again anytime soon, but I never felt like I wanted to turn it off either, so it has that going for it. Fave track probably "Skeletons" 4 stars
