Loved this. Complex yet accessible. Exciting.
Enjoyed this. I tended to like the rock aspects rather than the synth, which, sometimes veers into the corny. Liked the vibe. Sunrise is awesome. Vocals sometimes seem a little uneven, which could take me out of the song, but enjoyed the passionate delivery. Will listen to this again. Has potential to be something that grows on me.
Brilliant production and some really interesting songs. I did get tired of the breathless, overly affected vocals. Really good in small doses but overall not for me. I do see why people like her. Wish her the absolute best.
Brilliant. Oh, and the horns!
Excellent. Roars with lively energy and simmers in cool.
I have never listened to Pink Floyd before. I now know why. This is not for me. No part of this connected with me in any way. Just endless noodling guitar parts and meh vocals.ugh.
Enjoyed this. I can't say there are whole songs I loved but pieces of them all were impressive and definitely in the genre I enjoy. Sounds like they were finding their way. Glad we are along for the ride!
Masterpiece. One of several for Radiohead.
I bought this back in the day...but it never became a favorite. Couple bangers but didn't resonate, and I left it on the shelf. Today it really does resonate. This is incredible. Fantastic! This gets back in the rotation! What was I thinking back then?
Great album. Every song is good.
Just not a fan of that voice. Respect it but didn't like it.
Not for me. Something about the vocals.
Enjoyed this back in the day. Holds up. So many really good pop-rock songs.
Respect, but this is not for me.
Just boring. Musical beige. I absolutely do not understand the fuss. Not for me.
I was going to rate this album two stars, but then I re-listened to In The Pines. That song is so good it lifts this album to three stars. I understand that this is an historically significant duo and album, however... it's all just so dated in perspective, sound, and lyrics. Not for me.
Liked this more than I thought I would. Solid 3.5 for me. Since I can't do half stars...Peace Frog lifts this to four stars.
Very nice. All sounded like different versions of "Head On".
More misses than hits... But the hits are soooooo good.
Exceptional guitar and great vocals but something in this is not for me.
There is no song on this album I ever want to hear again. Not for me.
What a waste of talent and production on this pile of hot garbage lyrics. Not for me.
Superior crafted pop. Ear candy.
Not typically my jam, but this is full-on good-natured West Texas sound. I know this recording is decades old... but it feels like a breath of fresh air compared to modern Country/Western. This has humor and humility while still focusing on having a good time. This is a low-key gem I didn't expect.
This is a fucking masterpiece. Devastating and beautiful.
It's Queen. Magnificent guitar magnificent drums magnificent vocals magnificent songwriting.
This has all the musical ingredients I typically love but for some reason I don't. It's just an ok for me.
Big ideas. Interesting. I didn't need to hear this again but I'm not angry I did In the first place. I can kind of see what all the fuss is about but it just doesn't hit for me.
This was a struggle. Awful.
Timeless masterpiece. 5 stars!
3.5 if that was possible.
This just didn't do anything for me. Seemed safe and cliche. No song stood out. 2 stars.
And I thought The Cure was dark. 3 stars.
Quintessential 80s. Light, poppy, a little quirky, fun. Also, the recording sounds full and crisp. An easy like.
Love John Lee Hooker, but not this album. Feels like a money grab.
Really enjoyed this. Was not familiar with this artist. I will listen to this again. Layered and mesmerizing.
Enjoyed this even though not really my jam.
I get it but I just can't conjure any connection with it.
I didn't expect to like this but it was pretty good.
Not my favorite Blur album. Just ok. Kinda vanilla to me.
I guess I'm not in to guitar heroes. Doesn't appeal. Love the rhythm section though. They were outstanding.
Not that great. Still better than Oasis.
I liked it more than I thought I would but those long solos killed the vibe for me. Three stars.
Nothing stands out on this for me. Great musicians but rather emotionless. When I was listening the album ended but Tidal continued directly into Little Feat. I didn't even notice for a few songs.
Enjoyed this. Can't quite give it four stars but still quite good. Could have used some editing.
I like everything about this but the keyboards... Which ruin it for me. The keyboards in every song are grating and render this album unlistenable. This is a shame because everything else is really solid.
That orchestration is tight but it just doesn't seem to fit. Love Ray but this one doesn't work for me.
I'd rather hear this on a loop than have to listen to Oasis.
This is not for me. Two stars but still better than anything by Oasis.
I know people like them...I don't get it.
I wish I could like it. I've tried but this doesn't speak to me. Did like a couple songs... But just seems dated.
I like the noise palette. Active tempo throughout. A bit of attitude. Really like this.
Some really good sounds in this.
Wow. I watched this on YouTube right after listening to the LP. Magnificent. 5 out of 5.
Surprised me on the second listen.
Masterpiece. Every song is magnificent.
Amusing? Definitely bizarre. Made it through. This to me is awful. Still better than Oasis.
Better than I anticipated. It does have energy.
I mean they sound great but wow does this seem wrong.
I've been Bowie agnostic for a long time but this removed all barriers. I love this. Now I see.
Way better than I anticipated. Enjoyed this.
More intense than I anticipated. Really liked this.
Surprised by this. It was not bad.
A couple good songs but really kinda cringey or corny.
Important album but not for me.
The really abstract circus-like sound collages were too much for me and the tracks featuring this were an exercise in patience and really drug this album down. Otherwise, enjoyed this very sixties eclectic mix of styles.
I like Pressure Point. That's it.
Someone said in their review that Lydon is a bell end. Ha! Aren't we all.
I usually hate prog rock. This time I didn't. This sounds amazing to me. I blame this list.
Another rapper talking about stuffing dead bodies in the trunk of a car. Is this a sub genre? This is not for me at all.
Enjoyed this tremendously. I could see this being a five with more time listening. Brilliant.
I somehow sorta enjoyed this. I am so surprised.
Some really spoke to me while most did not. Reminded me of Mac DeMarco.
When listening to this all I could think of was The Black Keys. It's not a bad thing...not a great thing.
Like being in the eye of a ferocious jazz tornado.
This was a revelation. Loved every second of this.
This surprised me. Gentle and lush. Lovely.
Is negative 1,000 stars an option?
This just felt put-on to me.
This felt all over the place theme-wise, but I don't care, I really enjoyed this. I wasn't familiar with this album (outside of Kashmir) but I enjoyed every song. Just incredibly high quality everything... Drums, bass, guitar, vocals, production. The sound is amazing...I'm a fan!
Not enjoying this one from Bowie. Iconic I know... But this feels forced. Something's just...off.
I don't know if it's great but I love every song.
Every nanosecond of Doolittle is sacred and it should only be spoken of in awed whispers or shouted in throat-thrashing screams.
Ok. This may be a merlot to you pinot noirers...but this is just fun and dramatic and nostalgic for me.
Oh, what could've been. Ruined by the E-Street Band, garish production, and too many creepy "little girl" references (and yes...ANY is too many).
Top five all-time for me.
The music is still great. Not a Morrisey fan. Wish he'd figure his shit out.
Just sad. Interesting voice. Horribly gimmicky production. What a tragedy of missed opportunity.
Like the music but not the artist. Sad.
This is fun and beautiful.
Sounds great, but I can't get past the horrific abuse allegations.
This surprised me in the best way.
It felt instantly familiar. It's weird, glammy, and rocking. It has attitude. It's funky, sometimes melancholy, and it all just works for me. I felt pure joy listening to this.
The vocals were horribly cheesy but the music was ok. No way this belongs on this list. But to each their own.
My favorite album of all time. Every note is a memory deeply cherished. It's perfect.
Bizarre. Interesting. Completely different.
I understand the love for the Beatles stuff that comes after this... But not for this. Just haven't found their footing yet.
I've never given Elton John the time of day, however, I thought every song on this album was pretty good. I probably won't go back and listen again but it was well worth my time.
A surprise. Gritty. Sounds current. Enjoyed this.
Sounds fine bit I couldn't catch a feeling.
