Buddy Holly really was a guy with so much potential and was taken too soon. Early pop rock songs litter this album with it being a clear influence on later bands like the Beatles
Mega hit album, I was surprised that I still enjoy the singles after how much I've heard them. The deeper cuts here are kind of meh though. There is no denying her vocal talent though you do still need the songs to back that up. Did not know she did a Cure cover, not anywhere near as good as the original though.
It's heavy, it's rocking and has amazing riffs. What more do you really need?
Heat stroke dreams
A beautiful trip through a cold winter night
The title track deserves its praise and I also really like Kometenmelodie 2, but the rest of it leaves me kind of dry. It's still good but I think they continue to improve on their later releases.
Billy Corgan's angst filled epic, a favourite of teenagers for good reason. The lyrics do push it at times for me but the song writing is strong enough that I get over them pretty easily. I do find it slightly front-loaded though preferring the first disc overall, but the second disc still does have the all timer 1979 on it.
Decent dance music, though I find the progression on the tracks struggle to keep me engaged for their whole lengths.
Can't say its bad but I've heard these songs so many times it has really killed most enjoyment I can get from them
Rip it Up is good, but the rest of the songs are lacking. This combined with the singer struggling to carry the melodies makes this an underwhelming listen.
