El reagge no es una musica que m'agrada gaire,no se apreciar-lo bé,pero de fons dona pau i es escoltable. Li dono un 5'5 tenint en compte que no m'agrada gaire el reagge.

Really not that fussed about Bob Marley apart from his popular stuff

Reggae: another genre like country I never really understood. This album didn't help me understand it further.

I have a huge reggae blind spot. I'm sure this is good, even great, if reggae's your thing, but it doesn't do it for me. I quite liked "Waiting in Vain", and actively dislike "Three Little Birds", but overall, I find the album to not have enough variation.

Even the songs i already knew did not really grab me.

And I hope you like jammin' too. Not really, at least not this kind. At least it was short so not too much of a chore.

classic

Can and should you separate a man from his legacy. Listening to this album takes you back to O-Week 2006. You've taken party pills for the first time and/or its your first ever night on the Jim Beam and Cokes (those days are a bit of a blur now). Either way you've gone to see one of the big local acts heaviky influenced by old school reggae that you vaguely know. They start playing a 2 chord rhythm which at first you are into, but then you get distracted by the urge to chew your own lip. What feels.like 20 minutes later your turn to your friend and mention that this new song sounds awfully similar to the first song. He responds that it is the same song. You are shocked. Finally they finish and move on to the next track bur you soon realise while the key has changed, the progression and rhythm remain the same. That's ok you think, at least Bombfunk MCs play next week. 12 months go by and the new O-Week line up comes out. Its full of bands like Fat Eddie's Dub, Scouts of the Dub Table, Katchadub etc. In horror you realise not only is there no international headliner, there is fuck all variety. Everyone seems to be reggae influenced. You book yourself into a couple of the less popular punk and rock shows and a slab or 2 of South Gs helps you forget your troubles. Another 12 months passes and this time its worse. All variety is gone, replaced with endless upstrums and snares tighter than a dress shirt on Uncle James. In disbelief you take yourself off for a lunxh time treat of a $7.99 pizza sube at Pappas Pizza. As you start to question your own memories, as if maybe this has always been the way it was, you noticed the walls lined with old O-Week posters. Bands like The Chills, Shihad, Head Like a Hole, The Button birds, Violent Femmes and even (for better or worse) Alien Ant Farm grace the posters. Hell, you even remember your old man's yarn about Iron Maiden playing The Uni of O back in the day. You sit there and realise that all things come and go, and while this might be the peak of reggae and dub, times will change soon. But then, 660 come along. Now every hipster in Wellington who ever took a roadie up the coast to grab a few slabs of Gissy Gold and stumbled upon a local Marlie tribute act playing at Smash Palace has stared a Dub band, and not only will the be at O-Week, they be playing at mother fucking Re-Oweek. You realise that was no parabolic ride you were on earlier, but a God damn quartic. And that local maxima you were at back in 2008 is nothing compared to the new vertex that is to come. Fast forward a couple decades and things are getting bleak in NZ. Inflation is up, there are shortages in teaching, nursing, doctors, you name it. Wellington is in decline and record numbers of young skilled kiwis are on the move to Australia. Now I'm not saying that this is all Bob Marley's fault... but it does make you think. A couple of good tracks but too much similarity.

Personal preference - reggae isn't my thing. I appreciate why people like it, but it's just not very musically interesting to me or engaging

This was great background listening. I really hadn't ever listened to Marley before so this was fun.

Ugh, reggae. I don't care about it and you can't make me. I get the history and importance and all that, but the music itself is just so repetitive and dull I cannot bring myself to care. I never need to hear the singles again. The other songs are basically interchangeable. The one standout song - Exodus - is only good because it's more funk than reggae. Which saves it from a one star, but otherwise meh.

Look, I have nothing against Bob Marley at all. I get why the dude’s considered an icon. He had a voice, both musically and socially. But I just… can’t with this. Reggae is already a finicky genre for me as is, and if this album was going to be the exception, that didn’t happen. I tend to complain about every song sounding the same a lot, but it’s like up to 11 here. It all sounds like one big commercial for Sandals to me… probably because I keep hearing Three Little Birds in one of their ads. I appreciate a lot of the positive vibes and tones here, but I can never get past the island/tropical stuff. Like, I get it. It’s reggae, but I just never cared for that stuff. I’m trying to not be an asshole with this, so I’ll just say that this wasn’t for me. Favorite track: Turn Your Lights Down Low Other hits: Jamming

Reggae not really my jam, but this was chill. Probably a 2.5.

Loved a handful, the rest kinda blended together (not really my style of music but I can appreciate greatness)

I'm going to have to do a 2 on this also. I try with Bob Marley but I just don't think it's my thing.

I mean it’s fine, all the songs lowkey sound the same It’s giving tired musician with random lyrics, ain’t gonna lie, also a lot of praise for the lords so it’s proper mixup with the lyrics Best listen: “Three Little Birds”

I just have never gotten into Bob Marley.

Nope. Reggae ain't it for me. Feels repetitive.

It was fine!

Reggae is just not my thing, what can I say? It is supposed to be chill and relaxing, but I listen to music for entertainment, and that's just not what I find entertaining. It's kind of hard to assess this music by its merit (not that I usually do that anyway) because I'm just not that engaged when listening to it. It's a Bob Marley album, and it sounds like a Bob Marley album. If you like him, then I guess this one is for you. It has some interesting writing and good vocal performance, but other than that, I was quite underwhelmed. The title track is pretty fun, through. 5/10

Don’t like reggae

Reggae ist nicht meines…

Mieluummin tätä kuunteli kuin edellistä Marleyta mutta en kyllä laittaisi edelleenkään tätä vapaasta tahdostani soimaan.

Reggae is not for me man :')

Yeah, reggae ain't for me. The occasional track works, but it isn't an album style thing for me.

Further proving my point that all Reggae sounds the same, seven of this album's ten tracks begin with a nearly identical snare drum intro. The count goes up to eight if you include "The Heathen", where the intro is moved from the snare to the hi-hat. I'll bump this up to two stars because it does have some of Marley's best-known songs. Credit must be given where it is due, and this record did push Reggae (for better or worse) into the mainstream.

I know that it's WIDELY regarded as a classic, but, sadly, it did nothing for me.

OK album overall. Reggae is really one of those mono-texture genres that over time sounds mostly the same. Two star.

Reggae is probably the genre of music I struggle with the most, as it all ends up sounding incredibly samey. Bob Marley is obviously the king of the genre, and I’ve liked the songs of his I’ve heard enough. This album is alright; the title track especially I enjoyed a lot more than I expected. I think there’s just something that specific drum and guitar sound that doesn’t gel with me. I realise this is probably great for people who like it, but it’s not for me.

Inte så illa, men reggae är inte riktigt min grej

I’m not into reggae but I respect the game

Let's make a fun dance genre about your creepy religion and make it sad. It's a no for me bro. I know it has to be here but how did this become the genre defining album?

I love lots of rasta-adjacent music (ex The Clash) but struggle to listen to an entire raggae album. This was just OK to me.

Sorry but I’m still not a fan, still my least favorite kind of music. D

Couldn’t finish it, I’m not a reggae man for the most part and just found the whole monotony of it really frustrating. Came in with my mind ajar at best which probably didn’t help, and I have now firmly closed and double locked it. You can’t come in reggae, and neither can your shit mate Ska.

Pretty unremarkable. I liked Waiting In Vain and Three Little Birds, they have nice messages, but I even find them a little repetitive and tedious. Jamming is probably the best song on the album, and it makes me think of Chief Wiggum. But much like the sentiment of the song, this album and a hell of a lot of Reggae is just jamming, which doesn't do anything for me.

I can see how it is a very amazing album, just personally not something I loved, there was a few songs I could replay but as a whole album no

All songs sound the same

It's good, just not a genre I love

Not really my jam.

Another Bob Marley album, and again not bad but not anything too special here. It gets very funky at times, and very corny some other times. Key tracks: Jamming Three Little Birds One Love / People Get Ready

i really just dont like reggae that much

This really wasn't exciting. Maybe I'm just tired of the big numbers here - or maybe I'm simply not a reggae fan.

I can dig some BM in the right mood, but a lot of it just ends up being background easy listening musak.

i'm allergic to reggae. the fact that this is not a one-start review is that i appreciate that this is high-quality reggae...

No puedo con el reggae. Me parece insoportable. Este disco tiene buenas cosas jazzísticas pero el género me repele muy cabrón. Seguramente no es mal disco pero yo no puedo con el regué.

It's alright. Not really into reggae and religious reggae even less, so the first half was disappointing. Since I have not been living under a rock,I have of course heard a few songs already but it isn't really for me.

Just not a reggae kinda guy.

Not a fan at all, but this is a pretty representative collection. Mid to high twos.

This one was a bit of a hard listen. Not because the music was grating, but mostly just because I didn't really care about most of it and while some of the messages were commendable they were also pretty preachy sometimes, and I don't appreciate that very much Standouts Three Little Birds 2/5

liked songs: Natural Mystic, Waiting In Vain, Three Little Birds Now THIS is reggae It's very good, just not my taste. Still better than the Ramones 2.5

2 best track - waiting in vain

Meh…

Most sound the same

I don’t like reggae, but there are some classic songs here.

Burned out on reggae in the 80s, sorry Bob. 2 stars for once being a feeling.

More of a summer album. Wouldn't have this in my everyday playlist but definitely in my summer playlist. I didn't really like 'the heathen.' I skipped 'Exodus' cuz it was 7 mins long. Stopped listening to the whole album half way through 'waiting in vain' since it just wasn't my type of music, i'm not interested in bob marley, and that if i don't like a genre i WILL get bored. reggae isn't usually a genre that i particularly enjoy on a daily basis.

If you are a reggae fan, this album is for you. Not my jam.

I mean, some of this is good but a whole album of reggae?

Reggae still not ok for me… pitkästyn. Mutta jos jotain pitää valita, niin Bob Marleya. Ihan ok, vaikka tältä levyltä ei kyllä mikään biisi erotu. Yleensä Marleylla sentään on pari huippua joukossa.

Not my thing

Heard before. Good album.

I know the hits, and I've always thought Three Little Birds and One Love were good songs. At the same time, I've never really gone out of my way to listen to them. Like, there's tons of classic songs I've heard a million times but still choose to listen again and again. I don't know, this wasn't unpleasant, it just didn't do a whole lot for me. I respect his legend, but that's where it ends for me for now.

Cannot enjoy Bob Marley

It's alright! Grooving and talented but a little dated

3rd Bob Marley album from 130 generated, not for me

This album is OK. There is a good stretch of 5 very good songs (and great Bob Marley songs) in the middle of Exodus. But the songs on either side of thise 5 are too similar to each other. The version I listened to had 12 songs instead of 10. The last song, Punky Raggae Party, is a good song to leave you wanting more. I would also give this album 2.5 stars, but that is not an option, so I rounded down

Ok I'm stupid and deleted the whole thing I had written, so I'll try my best to explain what I thought without typing too much because I don't want to write all that again: I'm not a reggae fan so seeing bob marley as my first album was kind of a letdown. The first 3 tracks were a pleasant surprise, I still wouldn't consider myself a reggae fan but I see the genre differently, the keys, guitar and bass kind of compensate the horrible monotonous rythm. The title track blew me away and it's the only song I can say I really liked and I'd even call it a banger. I knew 2 songs before (Three Little Birds and Jamming), I didn't really like them and I don't really like them after listening the whole album either. Overall I believe the record is pretty good for its genre (It's definitely better than any other reggae I've ever listened to, not that it's much but it's a few songs) and a nice listen (I really liked how the songs blended into the next one in the first half of the record), which made me leave with a new appreciation of the smoothness of Reggae's instrumentals. SCORE: 2 (Because of Exodus) BEST SONG: EXODUS WORST SONG: JAMMING

Classic. Not totally my thing, but several very well known songs

Not my usual thing. Lyrical lucidity, howbeit mostly repetitive instrumental/rhythm. Three little birds is the best song on the album and even that is coloured by my endless exposure to it, hence it's a classic. Not to say that it doesn't deserve to be, and the message is sweet, though nothing extraordinarily profound.

peter paul and mary

4/10 I refuse to yuck people yum on this. It isn't unlistenable, I just don't feel anything for it. 2-23-24

it's too repetitive

Nicht mein Ding

Apart from Three Little Birds, which made me chuckle, then wished I hadn't, Jamming and One Love, it was standard boring reggae. Not my thing, even if it is done by the master. A low 2.

Enjoyed this more on the second listen than the first. I guess I just don't really care for reggae - the songs flow together well, but feel a bit samey over the course of the album

Good stuff

Never could stand reggae. Can't put my finger on why.

Wouldn’t open but like to hear it.

Gibt es nicht schönere Alben von ihm?

Not terrible, but still not a fan. But hey, it has the original of Waiting in Vain.

While I can appreciate his talent which includes the music and lyrics, I just don't like reggae. This album was hard to make it through for that reason. The Atmos mix on Apple Music sounds good.

2 Really don’t have much to say about Bob Marley that I haven’t already said. I’m going to go with a 2 for the third straight time because I don’t consider any of his music bad per se, but it just doesn’t do anything for me, and I also don’t think this album does anything differently than the last two we’ve had. I don’t want to be that guy, but every song here sounds the same with just a slight tweak to each, and I listened to this 4 times in an earnest attempt to convince myself otherwise. Nothing is better or worse than anything else; it’s all just the same reggae style of guitar, drum, and vocal work that I find so boring - though I did groan when I saw that Three Little Birds is on this album. Look, I genuinely appreciate that the song holds a special place in so many people’s hearts due to its carefree, “Life is good” message, but personally, I’ve always found this song so goddamn cheesy and uninteresting. For the third straight time, I don’t feel like I heard anything here that has me convinced Bob Marley is an all-time great songwriter. Sorry folks, just not my thing.

CHIIIIIIIIILL. xD Bet tas meldiņš fonā mani trigger'o.

Reggie is Not my jam.

Honestly it gets repetitive quickly for me…

Two Bob Marley in two days lol. All sounds the same, saying similar things too

Might be good reggae, but I don't like it.

It's not carefree, I don't like it. The last two songs are good

Entspannte Vibes, aber wenig herausstechende Songs? Spannend, wusste nicht, dass er in Jamaika angeschossen wurde und dann nach London floh —> Exodus

Another artist I have never really listened to before aside from the big popular songs. A good chill-out, groovy album. Doesn't really speak to me so much but I can appreciate it for what it is. It all just becomes a bit repetitive and boring for me and reminds me of the wee stoner guys in high school lol. Waiting In Vain was probably my fave on this album.

>Reggie is a genre I'm not well accustomed to, so forgive me. >Voice is recognizable easily. >Heavy hitters are geared towards the end of the album, which is fair save the best for last. >Slow tempo, if you're accustomed to faster ones it's going to feel like a slog. >Most of the songs feel the same with little variety. >Sorry Bobby I'm Jamming just not with you.

Was not—I repeat—was not jammin’ while stuck on the Clearview Expressway in the pouring rain.

Reggae always just sounds like the intro forgot to bind to an actual song. I wait for the kick and it never comes.

Not so much

not my jam

I listen to the most famous song, but its just not my thing I can acknowledge that this is good music and for reggae its cleary a masterpiece and Bob Marley is a great musical figure and i respect that But from my personal music taste, its just not my kind off music

2/5 Best: Three Little Birds Worst: So Much Things To Say

I don't really dig reggae.

Don't like reggae, don't care for it, never did, probably never will. I understand its importance in music and all but that's it. Listening to this was like torture. Musically speaking it wasn't bad so 2 stars, but I can live the rest of my life peacefully and never listen to anything like this again, and don't regret it. It's just all sounds the same to me. Maybe because I'm not a pothead.

Typische reggae muziek. Mij iets te rustig. **

No thanks

Reggae is not the genre I’m used to. On the first listen, I didn’t really enjoy it, felt a bit repetitive, but also different, since it’s so far from what I normally enjoy. But after listening to it again, it kind of grew on me, definitely a feel-good type of music, I can see why others might enjoy it. Wouldn’t listen to the full album again, but there were some slightly more memorable songs: Natural Mystic, So Much Things To Say, Exodus, Waiting In Vain, Turn Your Lights Down. My favorite track was probably Waiting In Vain. Overall, not sure if Bob Marley is my thing, but I’m curious to listen to more Reggae. Probably won’t come back to this album, might listen to some songs on the occasion though.

A reggae album. 2/5

I haven't listened to this all the way through in years. Appreciate the prominence of the bass in the mix and how its treated as a lead instrument. Exodus itself is a great track with the syncopation and horns that I think provide great musical accompaniment to the message of the song. And I'm a sucker for a People Get Ready cover, so those two tracks would be my highlights. In general though, it's a little too slow for my tastes. I'd rather pull out a live album or Songs of Freedom.

maybe is this album, maybe is the genre, maybe is that I am no longer 21 and stoned. I was expecting exodus to be fun, but it turned out to be boring.

I don't think I have ever deliberately sat down and listened to a Bob Marley record but have heard so many songs over the years anyway. Bob is a good singer, the musicians are very skilled, the songs are alright. Very samey though. 2 stars.

Niet echt de vibe, wel even chill, maar wilde iets activers. Niet veel speciaals opgemerkt in de eerste paar nummers die ik luisterde. Classic Marley I guess?

I don't like reggae, so..... a few stars to show appreciation for the musicianship. Ps: JAMMINGG

The cursed trio of genres, so far - country, of course, avant-garde jazz and reggae. I am 'a little' biased against this types of albums even before I start listen to them, but I'm trying my best to give it a fair chance. Unfortunately, it's no different with Bob Marley's music. I know his lyrics are as important as Dylan's at times, but even songs like "One Love" have a generic reggae beat, which I have hard time to listen to. I won't give it 1 star, because it's still a big part of the history, but two is a max. No time for a better review.

I’m not really into it. Music reminded me of club penguin coffee shop lol

sounds all the same to me

It's fine, but it'll never be my jam.

Favourite Song - The Heathen One for Karaoke - Jammin One for a run - Three Little Birds Just not my cup of tea. I don’t have a spliff in my hand, I’m not arsed about Jesus and one love is like fetch…it’s never going to happen. I’m too much of a misery to appreciate this album I think. Someone tried to kill Bob Marley just before this album and he’s still singing about One Love and that. I can’t deny Jammin and Three Little Birds but as I type this I don’t remember any other song. ✌️

meh, it was fine - just nothing great for me

Just not a fan of Reggae. Lot of the songs over time have become trivialized and overplayed. Found it hard to sit through the whole album where most of the songs very similar. Fav song - Waiting in Vain, Natural Mystic Least fav song - So Much Things to Say, The Heathens Score - 5/10

Some songs are cool, but overall feels repetitive and boring. Even smoking a fat doobie wouldn't make this compelling.

The man's got a point, but too much pot makes you sound retarded

Man, this guy REALLY like reggae, no? This is a type of music that you either dig or you don't. I dig - but only on certain occasions and certain tracks. I appreciate the importance of Marley more than I enjoy anything on this album; that rhythm and those guitars have always been a barrier for me because of the lack of variety my ears can pick up on. I'm sure there's nuance here from track to track. I just can't hear it. Clearly, this is a me problem. Maybe one of these days it'll click. But today is not that day.

I have always assumed to be the kind of person who'd really be into Bob Marley but no matter how many times I tried him, it never clicked. I tried to listen to this classic with more care, even reading the lyrics and reviews and background on the album to better appreciate it. I suppose I'll have to admit defeat with reggae and accept that I'll never fall in love with Bob Marley's music.

I can stand Reggae in the right dosage. This is overkill. OK, I should have known the moment I read "Bob Marley", but still ... 2/5

Very similar sounding songs

Marlie can pull off some great vocals, but the LP as a whole is overwhelmingly repetititve.

No tää nyt taas floppas

It's fine. Not really into reggae.

July 19, 2021 I think reggae is just not for me - there are some songs on here that I can tell would be classics but I just can't get into it. Very repetitive to me and since I'm more of a music than a lyrics person I don't think I'm getting the messaging as well as would be intended. Also, I'm pretty sure we used to play this album when I worked at Starbucks and anything to do with that hellscape is ruined for me now.

The only artist I know who’s albums are so over shadowed by his greatest hits album. I too am guilty of this and intend to rectify this from today.

1st half great, then it goes into a lot of the songs that I don't like so much - seem really childish...

I'm not vibing with Reggae. Like not at all. Sorry in advanced for all the Reggae records I'm not gonna appreciate. Gonna give it 2, because just because it's not for me doesn't mean it's bad.

Ok album

Iets minder repetitief dan het vorige.

Não curto o gênero

Ist was es ist: Bilderbuch Reggae Monochrome 2.3

Should give this more of a chance but gets a bit repetitive

Not my style

u do have to hand it to them that "the wailers" is a really good name for a band

1.5/5 https://rateyourmusic.com/release/album/bob-marley-and-the-wailers/exodus/ Maybe slightly more enjoyable than Natty Dread, but I just still fucking hate that cliché reggae guitar rhythm. Also, -0.5 for that Ajax song.

No disrespect to bob Marley but fucking hate reggae music

Best Song: Jamming

No es serio el reggae.

did not listen, don't like bob marley

Started the first half dozen song and HATED this album. I couldn’t understand it, the beats felt repetitive, the lyrics were cool but it didn’t matter since I Couldn’t understand them. But I came back and understood it. I didn’t like it but I understood it. I could handle of one of these songs came on, I’d dig it, but it drones on after about a half hour. Maybe I need another listen though At the end of the day I guess I can understand it but tht doesn't mean I like it.

It's Bob Marley, innit.

not for me

I don’t like reggae. oh no! I hate it.

Didn't like it. It's not my thing. Nothing wrong with it. It just really isn't my thing.

i hate reggae

Look there is a time and place for Bob Marley. You have to be in the right mood for you to be complacent enough to even tolerate this. I think we can retire Bob from this list. He doesn’t need any more entries here.

Bob Marley wouldn’t get his toe amputated to save his life. Luckily he saved us from more Bob Marley songs.

eh… no offense but this sorta music just isn’t for me. the only part i remotely liked was at 1:39 on Waiting In Vain, where the usual reggae rhythm stops and it sounds different. other than that, all the songs sound the same, and i literally facepalmed when i heard the three little birds song, like this was where that comes from?? this generator needs to suggest better albums brah

Seems so old and irrelevant!

Great…

Look, Jamming is a good song, but I fucking cannot stand reggae, it does less for me than any other genre of music and this completely killed my vibe. It just ain't for me, I find it offensively boring and samey and tho I get the message behind it, I think its vapid and thoughtless.

Aucun mais aucun intérêt, on dirait la même toune pendant 37 min, heureusement que c'est un album court. J'imagine qu'il doit y avoir un quelconque intérêt historique qui m'échappe, mais musicalement je trouve ça nul.

I can’t stand Rasta culture or its music. Marley included. Weed isn’t a sacrament. Haile Selassie isn’t God. Get outta here.

Gave up after three tracks

Deuxième album de BM après 'Natty Dread' que j'avais détesté (1/5). Pareil pour cet album, les morceaux sont répétitifs et inintéressants. Je n'ai pas pu aller au bout, j'ai arrêté au bout de 3 morceaux. =>1/5

Strongly dislike Marley.

I just can't get through a Bob Marley record! The history, legacy, context, the lore around Bob and his activism and impact, all of that is much more interesting to me than the actual music. As it stands on its own, I just think it's boring and repetitive. Probably a different vibe if you got to see Bob play live but hanging out at home in the office, I got through six songs without realizing I was on a new track.

Si pero bleh

Ok I guess - if you like that kind of thing. Never really listened to any reggae. Got bored before the end - though did recognise a couple of songs.

not my thing

Reggae is trash. I wish I could rate this lower than 1 star.

innovative and culturally important. Wow!

Eyyy mon this shit sucks

An entire album of the same rhythm is not fun to listen to

Tinny drum roll, chugga ching chugga ching guitar bit, repeat ad nauseam. Yawn. I know I’m in the massive minority but I find listening to Bob Marley a thoroughly depressing experience. Just wish he’d lived a bit longer so there might at least be a bit more variety of dull songs in beach bars worldwide.

not for me; one reggae song is the same as the next . . .zzzzzzzzzzz. .. .

I use to think think the Beatles were the most overrated band out there. I take it back since there are actually a few songs I do enjoy by the Beatles. This guy, absolutely nothing I enjoy. It's the same song, the same sound over and over again. Even the weed doesn't help this shit. No more Marely. No more Reggae. I reserve my 1's for the worst of the worst. These guys are close, very close. Just a little over 1, but not much

siis hyvä viba mut en oo oikee reggae fani joten sillee taustamusana aamusta meni mut bussimatkalla oli pakko skippaa koska harmaa ja kylmä sää ei resonoinu tarpeeks tän kaa

Ich verabscheue Reggae. Ich werde das nicht hören.

This album put me off Bob Marley and reggae for a very long time. Not his finest 50 minutes, by any stretch. Just find the whole thing a bit thin, in terms of songs and energy. I know it was meant to be a toe in the water for the non-reggae audience, but it had the opposite effect on me. Bland.

Dear god I hate bob marley

Wow this was boring Every song consisted of a simplistic 6 second rhythm that looped the entire track without changing at all, while he sang over it. You hear one of his songs, you've heard em all

This is just Jimmy Buffet with soul, a little substance, and weed instead of booze. Embarrassingly overrated.

Damn, who knew that 3 minute songs can take so incredibly long. It's a very easy 1, but at the same time still much better (or less bad) than I had expected. Nonetheless, it's sooooooo boring. I didn't last 3 full songs.

I don't like reggae and this did not change that at all

I'm sure this is good as far as it goes, but I hate reggae, truly.
