Wow dave groll

Full of bangers. 4.

Enjoyed this way more than I thought I was going too. Some great tracks here and insightful songwriting

Not their best album but better than most music at the time

This album was a bridge into the post grunge Era. The sound and emotion are real but more matured.

Not often a album starts a new era in music. Great all around album. More impressive considering Grohl made it by himself without expecting it to be released.

Foo Fighters are a gift to music. Granted that gift came at the price of Kurt Cobain, but from the start Dave had something special. I didn't realize this was only just over a year following the loss of Kurt and that is crazy, but not even as crazy as Dave doing it all practically solo in a week. The first 4 tracks are my favorites, then the rest kind of all blend together. Not necessarily a bad thing in a debut album but it does keep it from being a 5* for me. No disrespect to Mr. Dave. A good start to what would be one of the best pure rock bands for the next 30+ years. Favorite track "this is a call" 4/5

Great band, great album

"Foo Fighters" by Foo Fighters, released in 1995, is a raw and unapologetic debut that carries a "fuck ya!" attitude, setting the tone for the band's trajectory. Dave Grohl, the sole member at the time, emerged from the shadow of Nirvana's dissolution with an album that brims with passion and defiance. Tracks like "This Is a Call" and "I'll Stick Around" are anthems of resilience, echoing Grohl's determination to forge ahead. The album's garage-rock energy and straightforward lyrics resonate with a rebellious spirit, capturing the essence of '90s alternative rock. "Foo Fighters" is a statement of independence and a triumphant entrance into the music scene. For its unbridled energy and the declaration of a new musical force, it deserves a resounding 4/5. The sentiments of "fuck ya!" are precisely what make this debut a memorable and influential cornerstone in Foo Fighters' discography.

Good. Sounded very much like nirvana

#27 all time artist on Last.fm Currently 525 scrobbles - 44 for this album alone, but apparently only 1 full play through in the last 17 years? I listened to this album a lot when it came out, I can't be unbiased about it!

Sounds like a typical Foo Fighters album to me which is only ever a good thing.

This is a solid album of 90s rock even without featuring any of the Foo Fighters’ most iconic songs. Very listenable, good first record, not really any bad songs in the set

Great album, for a debut especially so.

Favorites: I'll Stick Around, Floaty. Dave Grohl wrote all of these songs after losing Kurt Cobain in Nirvana. This debut album from Grohl was called the start of post grunge.

Dave grohl :) that's all

Although I am a big grunge fan, and I enjoy a few of Foo's songs, I wasn't expecting to like this album as a whole as much as I did.

Good, sounds very typical foo fighters, easy listening music

Solid album

my fave track was prob good grief but I liked them all. cool album!

Excellent debut album by Dave Grohl. It's even more astounding when you discover that he played every instrument on this record. It's not my favorite of the Foo Fighter's albums, but it's definitely in their Top 5.

Solid debut for Dave post Nirvana. He's kept the good music flowing for decades. One of my all time favorite bands.

Grohl said that he recorded the album just for fun, describing it as a cathartic experience to recover from the suicide of Nirvana bandmate Kurt Cobain. The album is considered to have started the post-grunge genre.

It's a solid rock album.

Pretty solid, not my favorite foo fighters album, but a lot of fun to listen to.

As a huge fan of Nirvana back in the day, I always wanted the Foo Fighters to sound like a continuation of that sound. They don't. They're more accessible, far less experimental, and less daring than Nirvana was. Because of that, I kind of dismissed them. Nothing against Dave Grohl, it just didn't tick the box that I was looking for. Now I'm trying to give this a fair shot and trying not to see Grohl as standing in Cobain's shadow. Judged on its own, this is really an excellent album. In retrospect, copying Nirvana exactly would never have worked. Apologies to Grohl and the rest of the band. They deserve the acclaim they get.

4.5 Is this considered a debut album? Might be one of the better ones if so. I didnt realize how well I knew the songs on the album, I never had a copy, and I dont think I ever really sought it out. Foo Fighters have kinda turned into a parody of themselves now but the first few albums were great.

This is the debut studio album from the Foo Fighters. This collection of songs was written and performed - almost entirely - by Dave Grohl. This collection of songs was recorded in a few days, and mostly written by Grohl while on tour with Nirvana. The product is a collection of songs that defined post-grunge modern rock. Some tracks, like "This is a Call," sound like an obvious next step for an artist to take after Nirvana. Others, like "Big Me," could have come from a band in the late sixties - or any decade since. The timeless quality of some of Foo Fighters' work - with Grohl's impressive range of talents - has lead to their enduring appeal

Got to be worth at least 3 stars. Dave Grohl seems like a genuinely nice person, so I'm going to push this to a shaky 4 stars as it was inoffensive and it was a pleasant enough listen. Not much stood out on a first listen, but there were a couple of songs I may listen to again and the lack of anything I already knew kept this a bit fresh.

Love the Foo Fighters. Good Album!

That was a good album to end the week. A good listen all the way through, too. I feel like that's pretty rare for a first album.

Immediate gratification with This is a call. Followed right up with I'll stick around. Damn, I forgot just how good these guys are! The end of the Album is less mainstream & a little forgotten about, but overall, GREAT ALBUM! I'm very biased considering 90's Seattle grunge has got to be my all time favorite genre of music.

I enjoyed it. kinda nice as a background album

Good rock…

Pretty good

Good solid rock album

A better singles band than album one.

Starts decent, feels very grungey the first 2 tracks, kind of hard rocky for later tracks. Drums are lively, bass is out of the mix. Solid effort. Repeats: big me, good grief, floaty Skips:

Great listen

a classic for me

I like Dave Grohl, not a big fan of the foo fighters. Struggled to make it through this album

A total vibe. Slightly-samey but it's cool hearing a bit of a melding of late-Nirvana and early-Foos. You can hear him slowly stepping away from the grunge-steeped 90s into full on 2000's American rock

So, are these guys fighting against Foo or for Foo? Weird band names aside, this is pretty great. First off, I have to commend how this band is even successful in the first place. The fact that the drummer of one of the biggest bands of the 90s managed start a band as the frontman and have it become nearly as successful as Nirvana was is immensely respectable. I have nothing but admiration for Dave Grohl. Speaking of Dave, despite the album sharing the name that would belong to a full band, this album is, for the most part, just Dave Grohl. And you know what? He does a pretty good job. This man has to have a crazy amount of talent to play all of the instruments, do all of the writing, and the singing for this one album. Good job! Anyway, all of the aforementioned aspects of this album are pretty good as well. The songs are memorable and stand out from each other. It's not necessary to have listened to Nirvana to understand this album, but it does help knowing the context behind everything to understand songs like "I'll Stick Around" and "Alone + Easy Target". I like the tone most of the time. Some songs aren't quite as good as others, but the whole album's pretty solid. However, I have to admit that it might have made more sense for "The Colour and the Shape" to have been the Foo Fighters album of the list. I mean, that's the one with Everlong on it. What more could you say. Despite that odd choice on the book author's part, this is still a solid album and a representation of what would come of grunge post-Nirvana. 4/5. EDIT: I no longer "have nothing but admiration for Dave Grohl."

I recognized a lot of these songs but never paid attention to the artists. I'll add grunge to my genres to explore

One or two that I didn't enjoy but overall a great album.

Awesome

Some good 90's rock. Reminds me of high school.

Respect. Dave Grohl is the Foo Fighters .

I like the early Foos when they were more of a post-Nirvana sideshoot and less of a Classic Rock Band. This is early Foos. Maybe it's just the first two albums I really really like.

Love it!

Good n great

Great album. Dave Grohl post-Nirvana wrote every song and played every instrument on this album, great talent. Big Me was a commercial success of this album, although I prefer other songs on this album. It's not much of a departure from Nirvana, but this album solidified Grohl's legacy in the history of grunge music

Always got time for the Foo Fighters.

This was like if dad rock could hold up to today, especially compared to others in the genre they at least diversify their sound enough over all the songs in the album to sound individual but cohesive.

This album was solid, nothing too amazing though. 7/10

A common criticism I hear of the Foo Fighters is that all their songs sound the same. Similar to Metallica, they really didn't evolve much out of their brand of rock. But in this case it's the Foo Fighter's debut album so I am going to disregard that criticism and look at it at face value. The album is good. It's a B+ in all departments. I really enjoy Big Me and This is a Call.

Solid Foo

Great debut for a legendary band

I've never actually heard a single track off their debut album before. It feels pretty great to remedy this today. Definitely peak 90s alternative album here, stuck right in the middle of the decade.

Great album, I bought this when it came out in 1990-whatever. Sound quality is low & a few songs have not aged well, hence the 4-star rating.

18 de Junio 2025 bc you know. Yaay, heard a couple before. Loved those! 1. This is a Call. Love it! Always did. 2. Good one with a good riff, no me cautivó tanto. El ending fue more fun. 3. Kinda boring, good tho' 4. Alone+Easy Target. Me enviciaría si la escucho más veces. Cool riff and versechorus 5. Hardcore. Le podría agarrar love. Cool! 6. Good one, liked it, that's it. 7. Weenie Beenie. Good, no se identifica la voz mucho. Not my fave. Was a bit too much, skipped ending. 8. -Las guitarras son puro In Utero- Liking it, finally a solo, nice one, dark vibe. Liked it a lot. 9. Yoooo, love that! Jajaja cows? WTF! I love it. Chill out with power chorus. LOVED IT. 10. X-static. Kinda liked it, not memorable so far. Approaching ending and....... No, kinda bland. 11. Wattershed. Hard, but not fun. 12. Exhausted. Good. Not great to me. Skipped bridge. 3.9 pero 4 pues.

First time listening to an entire Foo Fighters album start to finish— don’t know why it took me this long !! I really appreciated the variety of sound and feeling they achieved while still producing a consistent album— nothing one note about it, which I was a little worried about (I should have known to have more trust)— I don’t listen to a ton of 90s grunge/rock on the day to day, but when the mood hits I now have a new album to add to the rotation!

Didn't know this album, no bangers but good stuff. 4/5

I don't really like Foo, but this is their best album. Plus it made me listen to more Nirvana. 4/5

Foo Fighters, obviously a classic and a damn good album with a lot of very raw emotion poured into it. Not my favorite Foo Fighters album, but an easy 8/10

The opening track This is a Call has the clear line of Grohl emerging from the ashes of Nirvana and the beginning of his evolving (though thoroughly grounded in Grunge with a little more of a pop angle) sound. Having not listened to the album when it came out, It's got a Gravity and weight to it that doesn't compare (mostly) to other Grunge contemporaries. Good Grief and Weenie Beenie are standouts. Very good album.

Dit is heel nice Zit goed in elkaar Uhm niet veel over te zeggen

Pretty much the rock style I enjoy. I liked Big Me. The guitar in Good Grief made me feel things. I liked the screamy-ness of Wattershed. Nice guitar solo in Exhausted. This got me motivated to work on my own stuff.

Energetic and earnest, just really solid the whole way through.

Aggressive yet positive. A very heartfelt passion project recorded by someone processing the loss of a close friend. A friend who's shadow wraps around it and offers himself as an additional musician.

On brand for foo fighters. Good energy. One screamy song. Good for driving, cleaning, mild chaos. Rock 8/10.

Fun first record, but def a sample of it’s time

It is absolutely amazing to think that Dave Grohl sang, played all the instruments, and basically solo produced this album. While none of these songs really stood the test of time, the iconic Foo Fighters sound is still instantly recognizable. This is a pretty incredible album considering the timing and the legacy which it led to. You have to admit that lyrics such as "Fingernails are pretty, fingernails are good" are not the best.

Not my favorite Foo Fighters album, but still pretty good.

I listened to this one on HEAVY rotation when it was released. I think it holds up beautifully. I've always wondered if anything would have changed had there been the artistic/social/political space in Nirvana for Dave to share the responsibilities and burdens of success. To my ears, in theory, the mix of that Seattle soup that was Kurt's influences with Dave's D.C. hardcore inspirations could have left a legacy to compete with the Kings of the Golden Age. "For all sad words of tongue and pen, the saddest are these, 'it might have been.'"

Classic foo fighters. Brilliant.

I'd listen to some of those songs again

I already love big me , I never really care for this album but is a cool , not the better of discography of foo fighters but is really good , and is better if u think that's album record by only men by your self , Dave Grow is a such awesome guy and incredible musian

really great energy throughout, the songwriting and mixing could use more punch, but the emotions feel very true and focused. Even if Grohl has not yet utilized his voice the best, he comes up with great melodies and sells you on his ideas nicely. Songs like Floaty and X-Static stand out for their superb grooves

Post grunge at it's most elemental and raw. Grohl is a hell of a one man band.

Formative music for an adolescent brent. Grohl has grown substantially as a musician from here but impressive feat releasing a whole album on his own and every song is a legit banger.

Love this album, brings back good memories of “That’s the drummer from Nirvana??” This was a nice trip down memory lane. Top 3: I’ll Stick Around Big Me This Is A Call

This album carries a lot of the 90s grunge and some elements of Nirvana (unsurprisingly). Feels exactly like an album made by someone in their 20s - some angst, but more mature. If you're used to heavier stuff, this album is your catchy pop. Bonus: you can play this to most people and everyone would have a good time.

For some reason I’ve never really taken the time to get into Foo Fighters even though I really like nirvana, and honestly, I’m probably still not going to. That makes the album sounds bad, even though it definitely is not. Not every track was for me, but over all, I liked it. My favourite was Exhausted, I will definitely be coming back to that

Suena a qué empezaban a definir su sonido.

Pretty good, I enjoyed it.

Great album, such an impressive feat for Grohl to form a band under a year after Cobain’s passing and write music that drives.

Great rock. Some songs are a little too simple/formulaic for my taste, but all of them got my head banging.

Have you seen any Foos around here bothering anyone? Of course not, the Foo Fighters fought them all off. National treasures they are. 4/5

Very good, though you can tell they were still trying to decide who they were (or maybe who Dave Grohl was). First half of the album is pop, second punk. Still great.

Reminds me I love grunge.

This is a strong album, but doesn't quite hit the 5 star mark for me. Standouts include This Is A Call, I'll Stick Around, and Big Me.

When I listen to this album I can practically see the messy, hand-written lyrics in a black and white composition notebook. The lyrics are indicative of a young and experimental songwriter, much reminiscent of a high school garage project. This is not a negative critique of the style, just a characteristic of the genre at the time. Every song exhibits a back-and forth between "Floaty" and clean, open-chord choruses followed by crunchy open strumming during aggressive vocals. There are small interruptions of sliding guitar bridges or chunky, muted power strumming. Songs are generally driven by even, powerful drums (which sound quite comfortably played by Dave Grohl) and crunchy, clean, open-strummed guitar. Many songs contain a verse that is repeated with varying intensity: "I don't owe you anything" in I'll Stick Around. "Get out" in Alone + Easy Target "Hate it" in Good Grief, etc. This album was a great listen but nothing stood out as there was little diversity between each song. It has in time been outshone by Foo Fighter's later works. This album should, however, be appreciated for a historical view into the success of the band and as a personal look into Grohl's life and talent at the time. As a solo-recorded album this is quite an impressive start to a rather talented individual. To me it marks a new beginning after the end of Nirvana and the loss of his good friend. This album already demonstrates the "Foo Fighters" sound. I give this album a 7.5/10. An 8/10 with rice.

dabe grole

Nirvana vibe

Great debut from Grohl.

I have this CD and it still sounds pretty good today.

Such a good album, I’d forgotten how raw it sounds, because I remember at the time just thinking how much more polished it sounded than Nirvana

I really like this one and Colour & The Shape. They started falling off after that until their songs just started sounding like beer commercials.

"Foo Fighters," is an electrifying journey through the soul of alternative rock. It announces Dave Grohl's emergence as a frontman and musical force to be reckoned with, following his tenure as Nirvana's drummer. The dude literally played EVERY INSTRUMENT on this album when he recorded it. From the album's explosive opener, "This Is a Call," to the hauntingly melodic "Big Me" and the frenetic energy of "I'll Stick Around," each song presents a unique perspective with Grohl's signature raspy yet emotionally charged vocals infusing every lyric with passion and authenticity. Two decades later, "Foo Fighters" remains a cornerstone of the band's legacy and a milestone in the evolution of alternative rock. Its gritty, unapologetic sound and emotionally resonant lyrics continue to captivate me. 4.5 stars for me but we round down today.

Listened to the Color and the Shape a ton, but didn't know this album beyond the hits. Man, it seriously rocks. Good stuff.

You'd be forgiven for thinking a full band recorded this and not Dave Grohl all by himself. Some really great songs on here.

Liked it

It's curious: they have a unique sound that somehow carried within their albums, that's probably associated with Dave Grohl's voice and emotion. But, at the same time, they also have some other sounds different from what I've come to expect from them. ¿And a bit of the Nirvana sound, in the guitars and repetitive lyrics in some songs?? IDK

Love Foo

No other record sounds like this. To me it's hard to categorize but it somehow fits with some of the other post-grunge-power-pop-rock albums that came out around the same time. These songs have always been mysterious to me. It's probably the muffled vocals. What could have become if the group maintained some of the mystery instead of going for all out rock radio fame?

Starring, Written, and Directed by Dave Grohl.

“Ladies and gentlemen. Foo Fighters.” - Christopher Walken

I've always felt like Foo Fighters were overrated. The songs always sounded just a little flat to me. Similar sound to Nirvana but lacked a bit of the spark that made Nirvana special. But one of the great things about this project is that I usually try to at least scan the Wikipedia page about each album to learn a bit more and I honestly had no idea that Dave Grohl made this album almost completely on his own, playing every instrument (except guitar on one track). Not only that, but he did it in a week. That's mind-blowing. Still falls a bit flat for me, but with that context I'm giving this 4 stars.

-SO EXCITED i’m listening to foo fighters -i really like this first song -LOVE the guitar in i’ll stick around -good grief is a realllllly good song like duuuuude -dave grohl is really killing it here with this album -like this is genuinely the type of shit i dig sooooooo hard -distorted vocals sounds really cool -this is the first time i’ve heard a song with cow in the name and cow in the song -a solid four star album

it was good, all of the songs were good enough and similar to each other in vibes

Pretty good

The first 3 songs are very good. The rest is kinda blah

4. I love Foo Fighters, though while I like this album, it's not one of my go to albums by them.

This album seems like a confidence-building project for Grohl - with each track you can hear him learning to trust in his own abilities as a song-writer, guitarist, lead singer (still needs work there), and leader of a band. To listen to this album is to witness the emergence of a major figure in Rock, and of perhaps the only true Rock-star left.

Really really really strong. Really liked "for all the cows."

This album is extremely multi-purpose. You can bang your head to it, but volume it down a little and it becomes a nice background rock.

One of the first albums I ever listened to. Still holds a place in my music heart.

Honestly impressive if all of this was just Dave Grohl. I really enjoyed this album more than I thought I would- I didn’t think I liked this band but maybe after a looonng time of 1-3, i’m feeling generous, but I did enjoy.

Oh yeah!

Amazing to hear this in hindsight of what was to come for the Foos. To write and record this whole thing by yourself in the wake of the abrupt end of one of the most famous bands in the world, incredible. It's raw, and points to where they are going to end up in time. He's not there yet. But he's well on his way.

Lekker album, niet baanbrekend, maar gewoon goed.

Foo Fighters have never been a favourite band for me but I realise they are actually so so good when I listen to some back catalogue. Not necessarily stuff I'd listening to regularly but I've had a bit of a sesh after this and enjoyed it a lot. The album was great fun!

Good stuff. I've never been a huge fan of Foo Fighters. I generally like them and get that they are good but I never listen to them. This was good to listen back to what they originally were before all the big hits got overplayed.

The drummer of Nirvana, Dave Grohl, somehow singlehandedly created the closest spiritual successor of his former band as you could. You could mistake songs like "I'll Stick Around" if Cobain had sung them with the back-and-forth twee pop and aggressive punk parts. Excellent grungy distorted sound with prominent pleasant power pop elements. Absolutely insane how he played every instrument. He's insanely talented in everything, and it's mixed well too. Huge fan of nearly every song. A few songs I didn't care for much, especially the last 3, but I enjoyed it all. Most surprising deep cut for me was the shoegazy "Floaty" which was probably influenced by Smashing Pumpkins' "Mayonnaise."

Awesome! Generally not a fan of a full length Foo album, find them too stodgy and repetitive but this sounded brilliantly fresh! Before they became the all conquering Rock juggernaut that they are now, there was a crispness and freshness about them! Loved this!

3.5 very similar feelings to metallica. i liked the latter half best but don't have many other comments to make really

Dave Grohl's 1st Foo Fighters album is a harbinger of what will come later as the band became a multi-player unit. This effort is all Dave as he works to exorcise his grief at the loss of Kurt Cobain. Raw, personal and timeless.

Read the description before listening to the album. "...recorded the album just for fun, describing it as a cathartic experience to recover from the suicide of Nirvana bandmate Kurt Cobain." Almost could not believe that the whole album was written and performed by one person. A very strong debut album for Dave Grohl as a front man and proved his potential from the very beginning. Most definitely going to re-visit the album later. 3.9/5

listened to again one of the most rocking debuts ever

Still as great as when it first came out.

Energetic, fresh and beautiful. To listen to while working on something important, hyping yourself up, etc. The melodies were consistent and interesting. The vocals were impressive, very strong and complementary to the melodies. The drummer stands out a lot and he does a great job. 4.2/10

This is a very good album, many good songs. This is one of those albums you can just put on and let play.

Outstanding

Niet de gigantische hits uit hun latere albums, maar wel al stevig goed

4/5 Solid debut album. Never really floated my boat though at time of release. DG is a legit rock star and seems like a nice guy but FF music is kind of tame, made for radio, rock.

This is an album that I've listened to frequently. To be honest, I believe these primitive Foos produced a better (musically) debut album than anything Nirvana ever did. Knowing a bit of Grohl's roots, you can hear all kinds of influences shine through, from the jazz clubs he used to visit with his mother to the DC punk scene, but with an individualistic writing style that is instantly discernible. Instead of shoehorning himself into another thrash band, Grohl was able to breathe and be himself with the Foos.

‘Foo Fighters’ (AKA Dave Grohl’s) debut album is one I never listened to when it came out. However, as it turns out, giving it a spin today, most of the songs are familiar, as a lot of them were caned on local radio stations when I was growing up. Result: a nice throwback to simpler times from my teenage years.

For no particular reason I've never really given Foo Fighters a chance so I'm happy this came up. Great album art. I enjoyed the music more than I thought I would. Big Me, Weenie Beenie, For All the Cows were my faves but I liked it all pretty well.

Cool debut album from Foo Fighters. I like the lo-fi, raw vibe to it, and the fact that this is basically a Dave Grohl solo project makes it more impressive. Really cool stuff. 3.5/5

HL: "Big Me", "I'll Stick Around", "Good Grief", "This is a Call" Idk why I expected more growing pains from the Foo Fighters' debut (maybe because the Queens of the Stone Age self-titled debut didn't do it for me). While I feel that the 2nd half doesn't quite keep up the momentum that the first few tracks set up, there's enough to enjoy from Dave Grohl's solo-noodling throughout the album. May 4, 2023

Hehheh hyvä haius treeni... toimii niin että päätepisteet mahd. lähellä toisiaan ja mahd. kaukana toisistaan heh mutta tärkeää pitää hyvä jännite kaikkialle liikkeessä.. jokainen vektori heh huomioon.. Musiikista... Ihan hyvää oli kun hyvä treeni tossa& ja Lyriikka analyysi samalla onnistuu onnistuu.. nirvana reference kuolema joku kuoli nuorena heh... Naisongelmia heh.. muita teemoja myös löytyy..

In which Dave Grohl makes an album on his own and surprises us all - I guess drummers can be musicians too. This is a fun grungy rock pop record with some decent tunes and a nice groove. Not changing the world but enjoyable nevertheless.

listening to some of the absolute garbage on this list has made me appreciate the sounds I like more.

Forgot how much I liked this.

cool vibe!!!

I remember this was a BIG DEAL when it came out. I don't think I've listened to it since sometime in the 90s, but it's held up reasonably well and I'm surprised how much I remember. I've shat on later Foo Fighters albums for being generic rock a la Linkin Park or Nickelback, but this one (and the next one I guess) is a step above that. I was gonna give it a 3 but after listening to the whole thing... yeah all the usual criticisms about being by the numbers rock apply, but it's still a fun enough listen. 4/5.

Prima album. Nog niet zo goed als ze (of Dave Grohl voornamelijk) laten zouden worden, maar je hoort de potentie her en der al zeker.

Fully solo Grohl project in the post-Nirvana/pre-Foo days. Produced a bit raw, but this recorded really rocked. Singing ranges from yelling angrily ("Wattershed") to smoother ballad easy-listening ("Big Me"). Album begins to wane just a little bit after 7th track. Personal favorite is "Good Grief."

"Foo Fighters" is the debut album by American rock band Foo Fighters. At this point the entire band was Dave Grohl who wrote and recorded the entire album by himself with producer Barrett Jones in Seattle. Grohl has stated it was recorded for fun, a cathartic experience to recover from the suicide of Kurt Cobain. Most of the songs had been written while Grohl was in Nirvana and those songs were recorded in 45 minutes per song due to studio time. They appear on the album in the order in which they were recorded in. He also has said that most of the lyrics were nonsensical at the time but, later stated , maybe they did mean something. Originally, Grohl had just 100 cassettes made which he gave away to friends. Word spread, Grohl was signed to Capitol Records and the album was successful becoming The Foo Fighters' second biggest selling album. Grohl kicks things off with three of the biggest Foo Fighter songs. "This Is A Call" gives you the soft-loud-soft dynamic that would be a FF signature (also Nirvana by the way). Grohl screaming. Great drumming. A hello and thank you to people who had a key role in his life. One of my favorite FF songs. "I'll Stick Around" starts hard and with layered guitars. This song reminds me of Nirvana with the hard parts and vocal chorus. "Big Me" is slower, melodic and love song to Grohl's then wife. Another FF fave for me. This album ends strong too. "For All the Cows" is for his love of punk music. A blues-jazzy start with Grohl actually singing. It then kicks in hard and, of course, goes back soft. The only other musician used, The Afghan Whigs' Greg Dulli, appears on "X-Static." Miltary-style drums and layered guitars. This is very Queens of the Stone Age-esque. Grohl doesn't mess around with "Wattershed". Hard and loud. No soft-loud-soft here. A good deeper FF song. The albums ends with "Exhausted." Melodic classic rock and then lots of feedback. Interesting. This is a good album. Their next album "The Colour and the Shape" is probably their best. Quite honestly, most of their albums after that are hit or miss throughout their length. It is also very impressive from the sheer one-man achievement. The variety of influences heard from Nirvana, Husker Du, 70's Country Rock, harcore punk, heavy metal and classic rock are clear. I also like the Buck Rogers' raygun on the cover.

I really never thought the drummer from Nirvana was going to be the one with a 3 decade music career.

I remember when this album came out. It was such a big deal. The drummer of Nirvana had released an album. I went out and bought the CD as soon as possible. To learn that Grohl wrote and recorded the entire thing himself as a way to recover from his friend's suicide, it makes it that much more impactful. Is it Foo Fighters best album? No. But it's history and impact definitely deserve to be celebrated. For all the kids that were heartbroken by Kurt's suicide, this album holds a special place in our hearts.

Very impressive to think this is a one man project! Pretty cool songs, most of which I've been jamming for a long while now. Dave Grohl laid a great solid foundation for the years to come for this band. Great album! Favorite lyrics: - I'll stick around and learn from all that came from it. - Couldn't find a way to you. Seems that's all I ever do. - Where have all the wishes gone? Now that all of that is done. Wish I would've felt I'd won for once. Favorite tracks: - This Is A Call - I'll Stick Around - Big Me - Alone + Easy Target - Good Grief - Floaty - For All The Cows 8 out of 10

Although it didn't hit the full on fat riff Friday energy I expected/hoped for today this is still some seriously good straight up rock music. That guitar tone is soo so clean. Loses a star for getting a bit repetitive on side B. Needed way more All the Cows to keep things interesting. Watershed is a pretty powerhouse track, very derivative (in a good way), just in case you weren't sure if they tick the required rock boxes. Exhausted is an excellent closer and great example of the clean guitar tone, Good Grief was the other. On reflection it might now be repetitive as such, just includes a couple of filler tracks that ultimately disrupt the energy of it all.

Very solid debut album. Great listen. Just a few songs lost momentum for me. Love the punk, grunge alternative sound. 4. TBz 1. I’ll Stick Around 2. Big Me 3. This Is a Call 4. Alone + Easy Target

It's all Dave Grohl playing everything! My favorite Foo Fighters album.

Is this the best FF album? No. Context is so important with this album though. Dave Grohl was the drummer for a little band called Nirvana. They represented a generation that saw right through the glam of the 80’s. A year prior to the release of this album Kurt Cobain, the lead singer of Nirvana, had died by suicide. This was a pivotal time for Mr. Grohl and would catapult him from being a star to the closest thing one can get to being a living god of rock music. He recorded this album himself, and admits he sees it as more of a demo. Shades of Nirvana are all over this album, but also showcases his punk and metal side.

Not there best but a solid lofi/garage grunge album Stand out tracks. - Big me -Good Grief - For all the cows - Alone + east target

Love Dave Grohl as a great guy but never been a big Foo Fighters fan. Still an interesting album. Not hard to see the Nirvana influence on this music-as-therapy recording. Everyone should read his book, he’s also an enjoyable storyteller.

Rating: 8/10 Best songs: Watershed, For all the cows, Floaty, I’ll stick around

A few classics and a mix of other stuff that lives up to their earlier, somewhat 'softer' sound to me. 4.5

Pretty fun but not my perfect music

Solid Rock album.

Not my favourite Foos, but good

Didn’t expect it to be quite nice

More low key queens of the Stone Age with better lyrics. I liked it.

Solid album, but a weird choice for what I believe is the only Foo Fighters album on the list. I would say that their next handful of albums, maybe even up to 6 or 7, are better than this one. The Colour and The Shape is almost unquestionably MUCH better than this album. Go listen to that one instead if you're just looking for a great Foo Fighters album.

Rough around the edges but clearly has the seeds of greatness. It's genius in its simplicity, raw and emotive

I recently saw someone call Foo Fighters "surprisingly safe radio rock" which I assume stems from the prior band Dave Grohl was apart of sounding not too similar to what Foo Fighters outputs. However, I would say it makes complete sense if you look at the music Grohl actually chooses to engage with. He may play the drums more intensely than the average band, but the man cried about the newest ABBA album, so I think he's a bit more sensitive than just "the heavy drummer should only make the heavy music". I know sensitive is a silly word to use, but you can kind of feel it here, since this album was pretty much solely made with the intention of being a sort of therapy after Kurt Cobain's passing. I think later Foo Fighters could get away with being called generic rock, but I think there's enough here for this to seem like a genuine effort. Having songs like "Weenie Beenie" sound the way they do gives off a Nirvana-esque energy, and having something like For All the Cows just two songs later, which is a completely different style tells me it's at least not all generic. I will admit there are some songs here that go in one ear and out the other, but I think this is more than just a pay check trying to be made.

Jamais je n'avais vraiment écouté d'album des foo fighters. C'est du bon rock et j'ai bien aimé comme premier album. 4.25

What a great, colorful, after-Nirvana debut which sometimes can be a bit too redundant regarding songwriting but in its best moments can also segue between poppy hymns and Post-rockish deconstructivsm. 3.5

3.5 - not worth repeating but definitely a solid debut of better things to come. Some good songs

god damn. i just read the story about this album before listening to it. dave grohl seriously did these tracks all by himself? i mean obviously the versions on this cd are done by a full band, but during the original creation of these tracks he'd do every single instrument himself? running from room to room in the recording studio, hopping from drums to guitars to whatever else? making up random vocals 20 minutes before recording began and then just rolling with them? what an intense recording environment. makes sense though, since it was supposed to be just about dave's personal catharsis after losing kurt cobain and wasn't actually intended to be a mainstream musical project in any way. what an intimidating prelude. i am of course familiar with the foo fighters - have listened to them a bunch, although not as much as i could have. they were always my friend dave's thing more than they were my thing. and 'my friend dave' is not referring to dave grohl lmao. my actual irl friend, who is also coincidentally called dave. except thats not much of a coincidence at all because dave is like the most common men's name in the west. can't take a piss in the street without splashing some dude named dave. i've never listened to this particular album before. i mostly listened to the colour and the shape, and nothing left to lose. knowing the context of its recording, i can see why this is a little more rough around the edges than some of the later stuff, but you know what? i had a fantastic time with it. what i have surmised is that i really need to listen to the foo fighters more often. favourite track: big me

A bit of nostalgia with this album. I was a big Foo Fighters fan back in middle and high school but have definitely fallen off over time. This is a really impressive debut album, especially as it was recorded in full by Dave Grohl. It's wild to me how this was released just a year after Nirvana ended, it feels like it could have been a decade and I would have loved to know how Nirvana fans at the time felt or expected from this album. I still really like this album but it's not one I listen to all the much anymore. Maybe I'll give some early FF another listen again though because of this exercise. Really solid songs throughout. Standout Tracks: This Is a Call, Big Me, Good Grief, Floaty, Weenie Beenie, Wattershed, Exhausted

Love it or hate it, this is an incredibly influential album both for it’s time and still today. Any song on this album can be thrown on at any time which makes it very versatile. The album itself isn’t making a very big statement as it’s the definition of garage band dad rock, but I found the whole thing entertaining and enjoyable. I liked it. 4/5

The literal one man band. A few bland ones but mostly keepers.

I respect this for what it is-- I didn't love it and don't need to return to it, but I have a lot of love and respect for Dave Grohl for making it.

nirvana-esque (how surprising lmao)

I didn't realize the first Foo Fighters album was a one-man show with Dave Grohl playing all the instruments and vocals, quite a feat for a drummer from his fairly well-known previous band. With this in mind, this album is an impressive feat, it's solid from start to finish and the energy and urgency gives the record it's strength, quite the debut! I can't say I'm a Foo Fighters fan, but from what I've heard on this and their later releases, I can't say I don't like it. This is probably my favourite Foo Fighters album, but it's the only one close to being essential.

Great album, not as good as their later stuff imo, but a big favourite of mine in my late teens.

Still my favourite Foo's album. Raw and shows Daves punk roots before the stadium rock metamorphosis started on the colour and the shape. Alone + Easy Target is still a favourite

What a great record. Fun fact, Dave Grohl played all of the instruments on this record, so it’s basically a Dave Grohl solo record. Sure, it’s got the typical ‘90s alternative rock sound. But it’s mostly Nirvana songs that Dave wrote and Kurt never got a chance to record. It’s really a “what could’ve been” if Kurt was alive to record these songs.

A classic from my childhood that holds up incredibly well.

W większości nie dla mnie, ale szacunek dla płyty

A really good album. Sort of metal but without the lead guitar shredding nonsense - liker skater punk on steroids. Musical, listenable, good stuff.

The back story of this album is heartbreaking, but Foo Fighters went on to be just as big as Nirvana.

Bursts out of the gate and even if it tapers off a bit at the end, its still a cracking album.

It's so much better than a first album by a member of a bigger band ever needed to be. Obviously, 27 years on it's obvious that Dave Grohl is a star, but it wasn't until this. He was just the funny drummer from Nirvana. It opens fully at legendary - the first three tracks are essential, but drops off a bit after that (except For All the Cows). So imperfect, but great.

Great album even though they really fleshed out their sound on later albums

Pretty strong release. They are not the best foo fighters because they have significantly improved in the last few years. The record made only by Dave Grohl is a well-known anecdote but always incredible to hear about his process.

Decent continuation of Nirvana. Very approachable but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's catchy and well refined. Much better than their / his later stadium rock stuff. (3.8)

Made on a bit of a lark after the death of Kurt Cobain, this was the album that revealed the sly talent Dave Grohl had been keeping to himself. The sound is a little rough, but there are some real flashes of talent here, as well Grohl's strong pop sensibility, which really elevates a lot of these songs nicely. The fact that this is basically Grohl playing all the parts himself is really impressive. The lyrics are a little cryptic, but no more than most of Grohl's peers at the time. Fave Songs: Big Me; Exhausted; Floaty; I'll Stick Around; For All the Cows; Oh, George; X-Static

First time listening to the Foos debut album in full. Rocks!

Gonna listen to more

I've really grown to respect and like the Foo Fighters over the years but I'm not really familiar with their music. After Cobain's death, I didn't really get caught up with what Dave Grohl was doing. Yes I loved Big Me when it was played on the radio and was surprised to see Grohl out from behind the drums. Over the years I've come to really respect Dave Grohl and I think the success of Foo Fighters is such a testament to simply working and playing music. I looked up a quote from him worth remembering: "Musicians should go to a yard sale and buy an old f****** drum set and get in their garage and just suck. And get their friends to come in and they'll suck, too. And then they'll f******* start playing and they'll have the best time they've ever had in their lives and then all of a sudden they'll become Nirvana. Because that's exactly what happened with Nirvana. Just a bunch of guys that had some s***** old instruments and they got together and started playing some noisy-a** s***, and they became the biggest band in the world. That can happen again! You don't need a f****** computer or the Internet or The Voice or American Idol ." Well, there is some luck involved too. But the sentiment about just getting out and playing is what I took to heart. Back to this album...this is the type of rock I really like. Hard but not too hard. Throbbing drums. Good lyrics. Loud but not noise. And Jesus! He did all of this by himself over 5 days as a way to process his grief over Kurt. I ended up listening to this album two times yesterday---inspired and moved by Grohl's positive manifestation of mourning.

A funny one, this album. I owned it on cassette as a teenager, and I only kinda liked it. The heavy riffs were a bit too angular for my ears, but the poppy stuff rang true. Goddamn though, they fuckin NAILED that mix on their next two albums. And to get THERE, they started HERE. 3.5 rounded up to 4.

This is such a great record. I remember when it came out that it completely vindicated my view of Dave as the backbone of Nirvana and, IMO the true talent. This record is a great cross-section of Grohl's varied influences. There are many power pop references and angular punk chord progressions.

Full of anthems and surprisingly crunchy riffs. Great album.

Always dug the FF's ....however this os not one my favorite records. No skips just not on my funeral playlist

Not their best, but a classic debut of talent. Lyrics lack, energy does not.

This entry exposes an inexplicable hole in my personal collection. I know the Foo Fighters. I enjoy their music. Yet, out of over 37 days worth of music on my computer, I have a grand total of three FF songs ("Big Me," "Everlong," and "Learn to Fly"). What the shit is that about? I can't explain it. This album proves to me that I need to fill that gap. It's undeniably classic '90s rock. But what's truly mind-blowing to me is the fact that Dave Grohl wrote and recorded this entire album by himself (minus some of the guitar in "X-Static"). I knew he was a well-rounded musician, but that's exceedingly impressive. With regard to the actual music, I think the album drags a little toward the end, but who cares? Given how good the album's good bits are and the fact that Grohl essentially did this by himself, this is an easy four stars (and a reminder that, seriously, I need to get some more damn Foo Fighters in my collection).

I mourned Nirvana so deeply I could never get into the Foo Fighters. It sounds silly, but it was a deeply personal feeling that I still carry. For the first time, I listened to a FF album in its entirety - and it was pretty great. Sure it's mainstream rock, but it's done well & some of the songs go pretty hard. I'm glad this was on the challenge, otherwise I never would've listened on my own.

I'm still amazed Dave Grohl wrote and performed this entire album (guitar, bass, drums, vocals) by himself and released it under the name Foo Fighters unbeknownst to anyone at the time after Kurt Cobain died by suicide. The album is a solid mix of grunge, punk, and rock with a handful of notable singles that still get radio play today. I don't gravitate toward the FF often, but I'm always happy to hear a FF song.

Destined for greatness, but this album is a little rough and ready

Watershed was incredible. Overall solid, some moments that didn’t really stand out, but a good first effort, and easy to see how they got as big as they are.

Last half better.

I wasn't aware that this was basically a Dave Grohl solo project. Making music by himself and then trying to pass it off as a made up band, sounds like someone else I know, ha-ha. Anyway, this is a great album. The Nirvana comparisons are inevitable but this has got a carefree charm of it's own, especially on the jazzy "For All The Cows". Other highlights include the lead single "This is a Call" and "Floaty".

There are a fair amount of reviews on this album that are ragging on the Foo Fighters, but this is not really a Foo Fighters album, it's a Dave Grohl solo project. He gave the appearance of it being by a band, mostly for anonymity and throw people's preconceptions. When you think about the production process, it's all Grohl. He had the drive, energy, skills and something to prove! The Foo Fighters (as a band) were later "retcon'd" into existence upon its success. While this isn't my favourite Foo Fighters album, I much prefer the following up, The Color and The Shape (or should we be calling that Foo Fighter's first album?), do I think it's a significant rock album, yes totally. It's more about the journey than the destination, and without the backstory, it would have less impact.

Impressive how Dave Grohl did everything on this album. That's incredible. Really good music and glad I finally got to listen to this because I completely missed the Foo Fighters kind of forever.

A one man album from the man who resisted banishment from music after his front man death. Amazing effort of which I can only say may be too long. This was before Taylor and gaining worldwide recognition. Even with its filler lyrics, is better than they latest (and maybe final work).

High energy without being too much, with hooks that grab you all the way through.

Very very very good album by one of my favorite rock bands! The coo fighters know how to rock and I highly recommend this album

An absolute banger of an album, especially for a debut.

Enjoyed this a lot. A lot of Nirvana-esque elements.

Surprisingly, Grohl turned out to be a rare pop talent, able to create melodies, rhythms and riffs that are easy to listen to and totally on trend in the post-Cobain world. (7/10) FT: This Is a Call, Big Me

I love the Foo Fighters. IMO, they are one of the greatest rock bands of all time. I also love this album - but more for the story than the music. This album was a therapeutic experience for Dave that he didn’t necessarily mean for anyone to hear. He recorded it in a week and it consists of stuff he wrote prior to or during his time with Nirvana, which raises so many questions about what the future of nirvana may have sounded like. There are some great songs in here and some that are clearly him finding his voice. Whatever it is, I love it.

🟩 77 🥇 Alone + Easy Target 🥈 There is a Call 🥉 Weenie Beenie

Треки мелодичные, хотя это и считается альтернативным роком. Мне понравилось, звучит свежо.

Five stars for the music, but the lyrics and vocals are not as good.

I enjoyed this one. This debut album is a good mix between where Nirvana left off and the poppier, accessible alternative rock songs I knew from Foo Fighters.

Daleko najbolji album foo fighters iako zvuči ko tribute husker du. Ili možda baš zbog toga 😄

Love this album, definitely a high 4. This band will always hold a special place in my heart for being my first concert.

That's fucking rock and roll

Foo Fighters definitely have the hits. I liked this album more than expected even though it doesn't have any of the biggest FF tracks. Good mix of hard rock with punk influence.

It's good rock, and it's fun. I admit I'm having some nostalgia bias here. I love the unpolished sound. This is the kind of debut that makes you excited for what's to come. For me, Foo Fighters ended up in a direction I don't care for, but there's always this album to take me back.

I've never had a stomach for the Foo Fighters, it's like rock music but with too much polish. This album, however, I like more than the later stuff I'm more familiar with - it's a little scrappier and I like it for that.

In terms of my personal enjoyment I'd say this a 3 but the story behind it and the fact that he recorded pretty much everything on it by himself makes me have to round up to 4. Gotta respect that. Plus, Dave Grohl seems like a solid all around dude.

Written and recorded by Dave Grohl in the aftermath of Kurt Cobain’s death, this debut album is a strong start to what would become one of the best known alternative rock acts of the 90s and 2000s. The first half is its strongest, and is clearly reminiscent of Nirvana, Grohl’s previous band. The melodies are strong and some moments remind me of the Beatles and Oasis. Overall I’m not a huge fan of the Foo Fighters, but I appreciate this album for what it is and what it allowed Dave Grohl to do.

Jawel, een klassieker.

Geweldig album!

Love the Foo Fighters.

Every great band starts somewhere and in this case, Dave started it all here. Knowing Dave did this entire album himself really helps you understand the musician he is. It's not a perfect album but without this we wouldn't have all the Foo Fighters songs we have today.

I’m biased as a huge Foo Fighters and Dave Grohl fan, but this is a solid debut album for any band. The fact that the whole album instrumentally was done by Grohl makes it that much cooler. Not my favorite Foo album but still has great tracks like Big Me & Good Grief

hilariously dumb yet catchy lyrics and whiney Pac Sun 90s vocals and vibes

gillar detta

Dave Grohl is perhaps the coolest dude in the music business. However I don't love the Foo Fighters, I for whatever reason never find myself wanting to listen to a whole album. I can't figure why. Out of all the the FF albums I've probably listen to this one the most.

Even though he doesn’t appear in this brilliant record from Dave Grohl, it’s eerily strange that Taylor Hawkins died this same day. Love this record, love Dave Grohl, love FF. RIP TH ☹️

Don't think i've listened to this since the 90s. Holds up. Great opening of This is a Call and I'll Stick Around.

Classic post-Nirvana grunge-rock from Dave Grohl

Just a solid rock record from start to finish.

Good stuff from the Foos, before they became rock behemoths as today. There's a freedom and release compared with the last throes of Nirvana here, as Dave Grohl breaks free of the grunge mould

good but got a little bit sick of the noise by the end

The backstory to this album is amazing - every track every instrument is Dave Grohl, and he tried to keep that secret which is peak Dave Grohl. Bonus star for being 100% Dave Grohl, loses a star as I'm afraid I'm not a grunge fan. Sorry Dave.

Powerful youth

Klassík. Hresst og skemmtilegt rokk. Meira svona!

Great debut album. Grungy sound. Not as poppy as later albums

Genre: Alternative Rock 4/5 A hugely enjoyable, almost Power Pop-esque onslaught of tracks, Dave Grohl’s one-man-band debut effort was a huge step forward in the post-grunge, alt-rock scene. Dave Grohl is no technical craftsman, but the melodies and production throughout this thing are much better than demo quality, and lay the foundation for his later solo work quite well. The whole album is full of great riffs, great drumming, and great lead vocals from Grohl. While none of these songs endure today as classics, cuts This Is a Call, Big Me, and Weenie Beenie are perfect glimpses into the future of not just the Foo Fighters, but acts like Green Day and Third Eye Blind, who are just a couple of bands that owe a debt to this project. Good shit all around.

Can't say I've ever listened to a Foo Fighters album. Can't be as bad as they are live, but that's not down to the music, it's just the fact that Dave Grohl talks for 95% of the set. They play about 1 song every 4 hours. This was better than expected actually. Good for them.

Pretty decent slacker, pop, rock, quiet, loud, quiet, loud, melodic, shouty, melodic, shouty, whatever. I just wish they'd knocked it on the head after this album rather than continuing to write the same album over and over again with ever diminishing returns for the rest of eternity.

Paitsi levyn paras kappale Big Me joka on mukavaa poppimeininkiä. 3,5, joka nousee neloseksi.

Great rock album, few songs are a bit too heavy but the rest is great rock that is hard to dislike

Loe this, didnt realise how many great FF songs are off this album 4 stars

Really liked this. Also didn't realise this was basically a dave grohl solo album. Impressively talented man.

Excellent in parts, sol8d throughout.

Enjoyable

Not their best album (that would be The Colour and the Shape) but the first and the one that got me in to the Foos. The lyrics are pretty obscure and you can tell from the way the vocals are mixed that Dave is not used to being the front man yet.

I had forgotten how much I enjoyed this album when it came out.

I’m a fan.

More bang than I remembered!

This was very good, and I really liked the first song. I'm not a huge Foo Fighters fan, but this was a little more stripped down/developing, which was good.

Classic, grungy, quality.

Look up rock n roll in the dictionary and this album appears. Just a great rock album.

The first three songs are classics. The rest wasn't quite as good.

pretty good not a big fan of grunge/metal but I really appreciated this i’ll give it an 8/10, probably won’t listen again but definitely special

This album only gets better with time. Quintessential mid-90's alt-rock.

Definitely one of my favorite bands from the grunge & post-grunge era, but not their best work (I'm waiting for The Colour and the Shape or In Your Honor). Still, this was pretty much just Dave Grohl playing all instruments with one buddy helping produce it. The band formed after this album. So pretty damn impressive for a solo project, even if it has some Nirvana feel. Like Nirvana did, Grohl fills your ears with a lot of noise from only a few instruments - not overly complex but well arranged and with ferocity. Makes up for some of the unevenness of the album. Most people know the first 3 tracks (all great) but I also really like the lesser knowns Alone + Easy Target, Floaty, and Wattershed. Probably a 3.5 but I'll round up.

I really enjoyed this album (especially second time through). I don't usually let the story of the album dictate whether I like it or not, but this really does feel like an amazing heretofore hidden talent going into the studio and working out, "What shall 90s music be?" and then influencing (or reflecting?) so much of what came after. I'd never taken much time to explore Foo Fighters or Dave Grohl's story before and how he was exploring himself as a musician post-Nirvana, but I felt it in this album. I did think that something had gone terribly wrong with my wireless headphones when "Exhausted" came on. With that, I can't say that there were no "misses" on these experimentations, but all in all I liked this album very much.

Classic Foo. Much prefer their first 3 albums to the newer stuff.

good album. not the best foo fighters album but still a 4/5

This is just a great album

As far as hard punk rock goes, I like this. Big DG fan

Solid rock album for the birth of one of the best alternative rock groups. There are some signs of the nirvana sound before they really hit their stride with the hits. This album was all rock which makes it strong and different from other bands from the 90s. 7.7/10

much more relaxed than grohl's later stuff but pretty good

This album goes down in quality after the first three songs but still a thoroughly great album from start to finish.

Rock sin escrúpulos. Voz en ocasiones desgarradora. Guitarrero y con buenas melodías

Not the best foo album imo

This album is really good. Much better than later Foo Fighters albums. It’s amazing to think that Dave Grohl played and recorded this all by himself.

Solid 90’s grunge rock.

Pretty decent debut with a few bangers. The singles still rip. And a few of the deep cuts are great. Really liked the closer too.

Good background noise, not my kind of music but good still and I understand why people like it.

I liked da second song a lot

It was ok!

I think I like the Foo Fighters?

Brilliant, especially when you consider it’s basically just a bunch of demos
