I Against I
Bad BrainsI've never heard of Bad Brains so I didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. I'll listen again & check out more of their stuff.
I've never heard of Bad Brains so I didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. I'll listen again & check out more of their stuff.
I love it! Very nostalgic
This was interesting. Listening to Johnny Cash sing Personal Jesus is worth a star on its own. I'd listen again but can't say that I loved it.
Nothing extraordinary, surprised it was on Spotify.
I recognized a lot of these songs but never paid attention to the artists. I'll add grunge to my genres to explore
I went into listening thinking I wouldn't enjoy this and I wouldn't choose it on my own but it wasn't horrible.
Another one I didn't know what to expect, but I liked it.
No strong feelings about this album either way.
No feelings either way. I could have this on the background not be distracted by it.
It's another album that reminds me of high school. There are some good songs but nothing that stands out for me.
Not familiar with this artist or album. I looked at the release date and was surprised it was 1979. It feels like it would have been earlier.
Discovering a lot of new music
I recognized the song Crystalised but overall feels like something that would be playing in a coffee shop.
I love it!
Wish I could give a 2.5. I wouldn't say I disliked the whole album enough for a 2 but not neutral enough for a 3. Felt like I was listening to the same song for an hour.
This is the type of music I always have in the background while I'm at work.
I can't even deal with his voice anymore
I thought the haunted feeling of songs like I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry and Walking After Midnight would appeal to me and I wanted to like this one more than I do.
Added Underground as a "liked song" - reminds me a lot of ManMan
Classic blues. It's easy to see the inspiration he gave to so many artists.
Fun & weird
Nice background music for work. Impressive this was all improvised
New music to me, I liked it well enough to listen to it again.
Another one I wanted to like but didn't hit for me. Too much synth maybe?
I'm familiar with The Power Station's cover of Get It On, and I heard of T.Rex but didn't realize they had recorded it in the 70s.
I liked the album.
I feel like this is an album Bob Belcher would really be into. LOL
I've never been a Springsteen fan. Listening to it now, still not. Just no.
I could listen to this on repeat. I was familiar with Genius of Love but none of the other songs.
Memories of cruising 12th Street in high school or makes me think of Robert Downey Jr's Tony Stark. I like most of the songs, although a few i would have preferred to skip.
It's interesting listening to music I heard as a kid as an adult, understanding references that went over my head back then. I liked the whole album but Earlybird was a surprise, and now on my favorites list.
I wanted to like it but some songs felt like nails on a chalkboard.
I wasn't familiar with this group or the genre so I don't have knowledge for comparison but I really enjoyed this album.
I didnt know Rod Stewart was in a band before
I forgot how much I like Boston.
Instrumentals always rate high for me and this is a good one to have playing in the background while I'm at work.
Not my style of music
I absolutely hate any version of You Are My Sunshine which doesn't help my rating of this album.
I wasn't familiar with any songs other than White Rabbit and Somebody to Love but I enjoyed the whole album.
Uncomfortable and ick
Liked it overall. Suffragette City & Ziggy Stardust are my favorite tracks & already had them on my liked songs playlist.
Loved this one
There were a couple songs I liked but this wouldn't be an album I'd listen to on my own
I remember my mom playing Cathy's Clown for me a kid but I wouldn't opt to listen to this on my own.
Wish I understood the lyrics
I liked the beats but not the lyrics. This isn't an album I would ever listen to again. 1 and done.
I'm not familiar with Iggy Pop (except Lust for Life) but I enjoyed this album & would listen again.
I love ABBA!
Another one of the bands I liked in the 80s that I didn't realize had earlier stuff. I'd listen to it again but I prefer the later music
Fun album to listen to on my way back into the office after the holidays. I've never heard of this group but I knew Apache immediately.
I enjoyed the album and would listen again. Nothing stood out for me though.
I love listening to female rappers.
I'd like to give this a 3.5 I'd listen to it again but not something I'd really think about.
I only make it to track 9 before I couldn't take it anymore. I'm not listening to 2 hours of this.
My idiot brain always confuses Radiohead and Motorhead. I saw the album and didn't want to start my Monday listening to what I thought would be heavy metal. Nice surprise! I had to make a note to add Treefingers to my Liked Songs playlist.
Not all tracks were available on Spotify but I enjoyed the ones I could listen to
Very 80s sounding, which was nostalgic but some of the lyrics were kinda cheesy, although nice there wasn't any swears.
The only Sinatra songs I listen to are Christmas ones. The album is okay but it gives me Olive Garden vibes. I wouldn't opt to listen to this on my own.
I'd have to be in the right mood to listen to this but I like punk
Only 2 songs from this album were playable on Spotify and I didn't like either
I loved it!
I've heard of the Pixies but never listened to them. I like this album and will check out more.
This is one where I don't understand the appeal.
I already had Heroes on my liked songs list but don't know the other songs. I'm enjoying this album.
Nostalgic, but not my thing.
No strong feelings either way
Not my style but I wouldn't skip a track if it came on a random playlist.
I've liked a lot of their songs but never paid attention to the group. I'll check out their other stuff
Not bad but may feel better about it if I didn't wake up with a headache today.
This project is making me realize I know one or two songs from groups and never listen to any more of their stuff. UB40 is one of those groups. It's fun expanding my music knowledge. I enjoyed this album and will listen to more of their stuff.
As I get older, I appreciate strong female vocals so I was thrilled to hear Janis Joplin. Also as I get older, I'm not so much a fan of a forceful guitar or the problematic album art but it's a reminder of that era.
I have a couple of XTC songs in my Liked playlist (and thought they were in my Wrapped too but they were not, which surprised me). I enjoyed the album and will listen to more of their stuff.
Nope.
I wanted to rate it higher but ended up skipping a few songs because of the repetitiveness of the lyrics. I wouldn't opt to listen to this again.
I've never heard of The Waterboys, but I will check them out! I love the Celtic sound.
I was into hair bands when I was a teen in the 80s so I had higher hopes for this album. I couldn't finish it, stopped at track 5.
I've never heard of Bad Brains so I didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. I'll listen again & check out more of their stuff.
Maybe not the best Floyd album but still amazing.
I'm having a difficult time deciding my rating. First, being Hendrix, I feel like I should rate higher but honestly, I'm not into endless guitar riffs. So I thought maybe a middling 3. But would I listen to this again, no. I like All Along the Watchtower but again, not I'm going to get excited about it if it plays on a random shuffle playlist. So maybe a 2? But it's Hendrix so maybe a 3?
I had this on in the car while running errands with my son this morning. I didn't pay much attention but it wasn't something I absolutely loved or hated.
I liked it - I expect David Bowie will be one of my top artists for 2024.
Any group or music from the '90s wasn't on my radar, since I watched Disney movies and Barney episodes on VHS that decade. I enjoyed this album and would listen to it again.
I've never heard of this group. I'm not sure I'd listen again but it was okay.
Is Coldplay the band people always make fun of? I can't remember but I like this album and would definitely listen again.
It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but I didn't find anything about it I liked.
I've never heard of this group but I love this album
Ooh, I'm digging this. The 1st track gave me Oojami vibes. Spanish lyrics are a plus!! I'm checking out their other stuff
I can't. I couldn't finish it. I just don't like this style of music.
I had heard of Nick Drake from a line in Amanda Palmer's Ukulele Anthem but I never thought to look up the artist. I'll have to check out his other albums, I enjoyed this one.
"What "machine" do you think they were raging against?"
I listened to the remake on Spotify (since that's where the link took me) and the original on YouTube Music. The YouTube one is so much better! I love music like this in the background while I'm at work. 3/5 for the Spotify remake 5/5 for the original.
I have heard of the song Up on Cripple Creek but am not familiar with any of the other songs. Across the Great Divide sounded like a theme song to a 70's TV show. I stopped at Jemima Surrender.
Brings back memories and I recall my husband saying this was his favorite band when we first started going out. It's okay but I don't have strong feels about it.
I haven't listened to Beck in a while but I could easily binge listen to his stuff.
No
I liked it enough to listen again
I liked it but I did skip a few songs because of the repetitiveness. I would rate it a 3.5 but I don't think I like it enough to push it up to a 4.
It's okay & I'm familiar with a few songs but I don't think I would listen again intentionally.
Feeling off today so that may affect my rating.
Not a style of music I listen to but it was fun hearing the audience and imagining the showmanship
I love this album! I have it on CD and listened in my car before my 2002 Ford Focus's stereo decided to eat CDs.
I liked some songs but not a genre I normally listen to.
Another one I could listen on repeat.
It's okay. Nice background music for working
I love it! Very nostalgic
I tried to get through it, I gave up on the 3rd track. I can't handle his nasally twangy voice.
I don't even have to listen to this, automatic 5. My cousin had the album back in the 80s and I'm familiar with all the songs and loved the videos when MTV played videos! LOL
I can't get into it. Too rock opera'y for me
It's okay - Good for background music but not something I'd opt to listen to again.
It's okay - I can't express how much I hate the song You Are My Sunshine and should be a 1 just for including that.
I wanted to like this more. It's nostalgic for me, my mom loved Conway Twitty so I heard a lot of his duets with Loretta. I loved the honky tonk piano & steel guitar but the songs all started to sound alike. If rate 3.5 but boosting to a 4 for the memories
It was okay, not something I'd listen to and wouldn't listen to it again.
At the start of Ready or Not I had to double check my queue and make sure Enya didn't somehow get mixed in. I love the song Boadicea and was surprised to hear it sampled.
I quit at "Dink's Song", which on Spotify is a woman singing?? Something felt off, like he's trying too hard, and decided I'd give the album a 1. Then I read the Wiki bio. Makes sense now.
I've never listened to Amy's music before and I like it more than I expected to.
Groovy background music while working
I'd rate it 3.5 if I could. I'm not too into Big Band sounds with vocals but this is nice album to have in the background at work
Nope, couldn't do it. I couldn't get through the 1st song.
Never heard of this group, but I like the album. I'll check out their (few) other albums.
Love a few songs, and have seen the movie. I prefer Dark Side of the Moon as an overall album
I love it & will check out more of his music. The cat meowing in Nostalgia made me laugh because some people brought a cat to my work location, and it would get into the ceiling space. You could hear it meowing as it wandered around and eventually, management said the cat couldn't be here so the person who brought it, took it home. While listening to the song, I thought they had brought the cat back, so I paused the music to see if I could hear the cat. Nothing, so I restarted the music and later realized THAT's where the meowing was from.
I was happy to see this show up today! I've loved this album since I got the CD when it was first released. This was the first current music I started listening to again after a decade of being a stay-at-home mom and Disney movie soundtracks nonstop.
I really enjoyed this album. It reminded me of the jazzy music that was on old-school Sesame Street.
It's okay. I'm not a huge fan of Joy Division but I wouldn't skip if one of these songs came across my playlist.
I had heard of Tori Amos but never listened to her music. I know she was parodied in the Bob's Burgers episode Food Truckin' (one of my favorites) but I didn't realize how accurate the parody is. I wouldn't opt to listen to this on my own.
Honestly, I don't remember much about listening to this. No strong feelings either way.
Listened on my drive to work. I'll listen again
Chill music makes for a nice commute. I'll look into more of his music & compositions.
Oh lord, this was a ride. At first, my gut reaction was Nope, 1 star. Do Not Like. But it grew on me. I laughed because it made me think of a group of newbie band kids, the 1st time with their instruments, everyone making noise and doing their own thing. It also reminded me of something I would hear on Dr. Demento which I haven't thought about in a long time. I could give it 2 stars but I'll go for 3 because I would listen again if I were in the right mood. Also, it's currently not available on Spotify so I listened on YT Music
It was interesting hearing Elivs not sound "Elvisy" on some songs. Tutti Frutti by anyone other than Little Richard is just wrong. It's not a genre I normally listen to but I like the boogie piano style. I wouldn't listen to this album again though.
I didn't hate the album but it's not something I would listen to again.
Listening at work, love the vibe.
Nope
It's hard to not listen to the song Bad without Weird Al's parody, Fat, slipping into my brain but I liked the album.
I loved it. I've said I don't like big band music, but I think it's the vocals that I don't like. I'll look up more of his work & Latin Jazz in general
I've never listened to PJ Harvey but I enjoyed this album.
I'm only familiar with Bittersweet Symphony so I was curious what their other stuff sounds like. I would listen to this again and again.
I remember having this album as a kid or someone I knew had it and we listened to it a lot. Dolly's always going to get a 5.
Although I grew up on country, I never listen to it anymore so I'm unfamiliar with a lot of new artists. I added a few songs to my favorites (Lonely Weekend and Rainbow) I'd rate a 3.5 but I don't think I'd listen to it on my own unless I was in a mood, so giving it a 3.
I mostly liked it- a few times I considered skipping ahead when things were a bit discordant but I stuck it out.
Another artist I had heard of but never listened to their music. I'll check out more.
I don't hate but I wouldn't listen to hit again.
It's okay - not something I would pick on my own but I didn't hate it.
Chill background music for work.
It's okay
I couldn't finish it. I was surprised this was recorded in 2005 and the singer isn't much older than me. Sounds like something my mother-in-law would enjoy.
Never heard of this artist. The album was meh, okay background music for work. Reading the wiki about the artist, okay, that explains a lot.
I listened & chose my rating, then looked at some other reviews. LOL I'm sticking with mine, I like this style of music. It's great for work, keeping me energized to get through the day.
I had some of these songs on my 'music to check out playlist' for a few years but not sure what prompted me to do that. I enjoyed the album enough & will check out some of their other stuff.
I thought I had already rated this one, I know I listened to it (playing catch up is a struggle!)
It's okay, not something I'd listen to again.
Enjoyed the album, listening to it while catching up at work I didn't pay a whole lot of attention but I'll listen it again.
It started okay but after a while, it was just a distraction.
Enjoyable I feel like hosting a cocktail party now LOL
A new artist to me, and I enjoyed the album.
Getting back into the habit of listening to an album a day again (and a lot to catch up on!) This was enjoyable and I would listen to it again. I've never heard of this artist & will check out their other stuff.
Another band I was familiar with but didn't know their name.
Not my type of music
Playing catch up, I had this album and Neon Bible. I like this album better overall but not enough to bump up my rating.
I love Immigrant Song (and it makes me think of Rathergood Viking Kittens more than Marvel's Thor) but no other song made me pause to look at what was playing.
It's okay, again not something I'd opt to listen to on my own.
I appreciate the artistry but I'm not a guitar person. The Shape of Things was driving me crazy because it was so familiar - then it clicked - Sister Christian by Night Ranger. It's fun to discover what inspired songs that came later.
I couldn't finish. I appreciate the artistry but repetitive lyrics, particularly towards the end of a song, irritates me.
I thought I would like this more than I did. It was okay, and I liked a few songs, but overall, just meh.
I loved this and will look at more of their stuff.
Good background music while catching up at work. Songs sound very similar, but that's not always a bad thing.
Never heard of this group, never heard any of the songs, but will listen again & check out more of their stuff. Looks like they have a new release too, The big Decider (2024)
A pleasant surprise, a new artist to look up. I could listen to this type of music on repeat every day.
It's okay - no strong feelings either way.
Back to playing catchup after a crazy month. I was excited to listen to this one while catching up at work. I'm familiar with some songs but loved the whole album. Will listen again and added a few more songs to my favorites list.
I've listen to The White Stripes, but never Jack White solo stuff - I'd listen to it again
I can't finish this album.
Well, Eno is now a controversial artist. I usually like him but this one was a "did not finish". The cicada sounding guitar (?) on Cindy Tells Me did me in. I'll listen to his later ambient stuff.
I enjoyed it, unobtrusive music for the office.
I like some Elton John songs but overall, this album isn't something I could get into.
Some songs not available on Spotify. I liked the album and favorited "You and Your Folks, Me and My Folks"
It's good, kind of remember this album from when I was in high school. I like Prince but I'm not a huge fan. I may not opt to play this album but I wouldn't skip a song if it were on my playlist.
I didn't realize how many songs I'm already familiar with on this album
Nothing memorable, good for background music.
It's okay, I want to hate on Morrissey but I'd probably listen to this again.
I've heard more songs by this artist in the last 2 years than I ever did in the late 80s. I enjoyed the album and will listen to it again
Only 4 tracks available on Spotify. I don't want to bother hunting down the rest.
I love it but have to remove a star because Morrissey
2nd Kate Bush album in 4 days - it's okay. I don't think I'd choose to listen to it again, but wouldn't skip it.
Arcade Fire has shown up as often as Kate Bush (I'm playing catch up) but I haven't ended up disliking them yet! I'll listen again
Maybe I'm in a mood for punk today, this album hits.
This one was emotional & nostalgic. It reminds me of the music my grandparents would listen to and going to the Oklahoma Opry as a kid with my mom.
No strong feelings
I'm not going to waste my time with this one.
3rd Kate Bush Album in 10 days - I couldn't finish this one. This is also the earliest album out of the 3 so maybe it's just her earlier work I dislike.
Enjoyed the album and will check out some of her other stuff. Reading the bio on Spotify, I'm curious about her 80's music now.
The more I listen to Bowie the more I love him.
I don't hate it, probably wouldn't listen to it again either. I thought I liked Radiohead.
Album not available on any streaming service I use, so I listened to the top 5 songs on Spotify. I would listen to more of their stuff.
I liked Imagine but not really anything else.
Love it! I can't listen to disc 2 (not available on Spotify) but it's fine since it's live versions of some songs from disc 1
Surprised by the variety of the album. There's only 1 song available on spotify so I listened on youtube music.
It's okay but not something I would choose to listen to again.
Its okay but I'm not fond of live albums.
I have a friend who loves Fleetwood Mac so I've heard this album (cassette, CD) often. The Chain made me a bit sad, reminding me that Our Flag Means Death has been canceled.
Still an amazing album 40 years later
I like it, and will listen again when I'm feeling angsty.
After 45 mins I'm tapping out. Maybe I'll try to finish the whole 3 hours but I can't imagine its going to get any better.
No. If I'm going to listen to Elvis, I'd prefer earlier stuff.
This is horrid
I should listen to more Santana
Uh, another live album. I couldn't finish it. After a while, it just felt like noise.
Another artist I never heard of and wasn't sure what to expect, but I love the ska/funk vibes.
I wanted to like this one more
Never heard of this artist. It's okay, nice background music for the office.
I liked the music and don't mind the length of the album but live albums irk me and I don't need an introduction at every song. I understand why it would be done at a live performance in the 50s though.
I like the armadillo on the album cover.
It's okay - I love the groovy'ness of it but eventually, everything started to sound the same and unmemorable.
I tried and didn't make it far. I'm not going to force myself to listen to it.
I love this album. Memories of jr high when I started listening to music on my own instead of what my mom listened to. I didn't realize it was released in '78. I thought it was early 80s but that was probably due to Moving in Stereo in Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
Another new to me artist, love the album and will re-listen.
I'm playing catch-up again with my list, but this is a great album to start my workday with. I've heard the popular songs, but never listened to the album. I will listen again!
Not bad, will listen again
Okay for background music at work but wouldn't listen again.
I love it! Will add it to my music for work playlist
At first I got Kraftwerk vibes, and towards the end I got Pink Floyd vibes. I like the album and will listen again, but not sure I love it. I'd give it a 3.5 but will bump up to a 4 because it was good background music for working.
I like it, will listen again
As a middle-aged white woman, Come on Eileen has been one of my favorite songs since I was 13 but I had never listened to any other Dexys Midnight Runners songs. The album was okay and I would listen again but not something I particularly love.
Okay to listen to while at work. Not something I would choose on my own.
Love jazz, love this album. Will listen again!
I had never heard of this artist, and at first thought "This has potential." An upbeat & peppy start but then I began to have doubts. When I got to work, I was sad laughing at the horrendous lyrics, and I didn't question why I'd never heard of him.
This was interesting. Listening to Johnny Cash sing Personal Jesus is worth a star on its own. I'd listen again but can't say that I loved it.
Would listen to this on repeat. Great beats to get through my work day
Most of the songs were okay. I skipped parts of Space Odyssey, Moog Raga, and Universal Mind Decoder because of an irritating, high-pitched sound. I probably wouldn't listen again though.
Another nostalgic album. I thought of rating it a 4 (I like a lot of songs, but not sure I'd listen to the whole album again) but adding one for the band's perseverance.
This isn't a genre I enjoy, but it wasn't as horrible as I thought it may be.
Normally I look up the album wiki and read about the artist before I listen, but today I just went straight into the album as I left for work. My first though was 'I'm not in the mood for punk today' but by the time I got to work I was enjoying it. Like usual, never heard of the artist but I'll listen again,
I wanted to like this one more.
Not for me. I debated giving it 2 stars but towards the end, it was tiresome & repetitive.
Familiar with Killer Queen, but didn't know any other song. I liked it well enough to listen to it again.
I like folk, jazz and Joni Mitchell. Never heard any of the songs on this album but will revisit it.
Reminds me of the music my mom would put on when we had to clean the house on the weekend. Not horrible, but not something I'd choose to listen to on my own.
I liked a few songs, but this isn't an album I'd listen to again. No strong feelings about it.
I wasn't sure what to expect with this album, another artist I've never heard of but I loved it! Will definitely listen again & check out other albums.
I enjoyed the popular songs but not sure I'd relisten to the whole album again.
I think we have this CD but I never listened to it. I would listen again now.
Not really into Dylan and the harmonica
I tried to listen to it but couldn't.
I couldn't get through the 1st Eminem album that showed up on my 1001 and I not going to waste my time with this one.
I had Heads Will Roll on my favorites playlist, but wasn't familiar with any other songs. I also looked back at my history & noticed I didn't like the 1st Yeah Yeah Yeahs album (Fever to Tell) that I rated so I went into this with an open mind. I liked this one a lot better, I don't remember what I disliked about the other one but I will listen to this one again.
I liked it well enough. Nothing particularly stood out though.
Not for me. Not horrible but felt very dated
I never listened to this album when it came out, apart from the popular songs on the radio. I was hoping I'd like it more than I did. I wanted to give it points for nostalgia but even that feels forced.
Love this album! The combo of Eno & David Byrne is amazing. Definitely going into my favorites list!
Interesting album. I like the ethereal sound and will check out their other work. The repetitiveness on Svefn-g-englar nearly caused me to ditch listening to the rest of the album.
Nothing extraordinary, surprised it was on Spotify.
Not a style I normally listen to but not as bad as others I couldn't get through.
Long and tiresome, unnoticeable background noise.
I really dont mind rap and hip hop but not going to listen to misogynistic lyrics
I love it. Could listen on repeat.
The Cramps came on my radar after Goo Goo Muck was featured on the Netflix show Wednesday. I've wanted to check out more of their stuff, so I was excited when they showed up on my review list. I loved it and will listen again.
Difficult to find to stream but worth it. H20 Gate Blues is still powerful 50 years later.
Standard Zeppelin. I love Kashmir, the rest is okay. IV will always be my favorite
I enjoyed this album. I've heard of the group but couldn't name any of their songs.
Interesting album.
This is the type of music I think of when I think of the 60s.
I like it well enough to listen again
Okay for background music while I'm working, but not something I'd listen to again.
Perfect for a Monday morning commute
Interesting, some songs I liked, and others were getting on my nerves with the repetitiveness. Wish I could rate 3.5 but I'll bump it up to a 4 because I would listen to some of the songs again.
Couldn't get through it, not a style of music I like.
Not a big ZZ Top fan but haven't heard these songs in a while, so it was a fun listen. I think the music videos are more memorial than the songs themselves.
Never really listened to Bjork but I liked the album and will check out more.
I didn't think I'd like it as much as I did. A Simple Desultory Philippic made me laugh. I'm going to have to give this one a 5.
First thought "sounds like a Disney villain song" and thought maybe things wouldn't continue down a dark path (I didn't read the album title, just pulled it up on Spotify to listen during my commute). I gave up after track 3. I don't need to listen to songs about murder when I can read the news.
I was excited when this showed up on my list for today. I've loved "Come On Eileen" since 1982 and still see the video in my mind when I hear the song.
Not a genre I enjoy nor would listen to on my own.
Another album I was excited to see on my list!
I could listen on repeat
I've heard of the Dead Kennedys but never listened to anything specifically, but I liked this album. Normally I'm not too fond of repetitive lyrics, but I guess it works for me with punk music. I'd have to be in the right mood to listen, so I'd give it a 4.5 but bumping up.
Meh, I wanted to like it more but couldn't really get into it.
No strong feelings, nice background music, feels very 60's
I've binged listened to this album so many times, and Meat Loaf has been on my ultimate fantasy bowling team along with Jesus & the Dalai Lama since the early 90s.
Back to playing catch-up, a few Pixies albums on my list now. They're good background music for work
I love it. I haven't felt like listening to music lately but I wasn't going to leave Siouxsie as DNL. I needed her today.
Didn't like this as well as some of their other albums. It's still okay though.
I wanted to like this one being Queen but I couldn't finish it. I ended up skipping to the Seven Seas of Rhye since it has the most plays, and still meh. I don't hate it, but I wouldn't listen again.
I like weird and Devo is pretty weird.
I tried and I can't. Maybe because it's a slow week at work and I need something more upbeat to listen to without repetitive lyrics.
Not my taste in music.
Not my favorite album but still AC/DC. My guilty pleasure band LOL
I don't think I have heard of this band, but the song Red Eyes sounds familiar. I can't place where I may have listened to it before unless it was a "since you like this music listen to this" addition to the end of queue.
I don't like this one as much as I remembered I did when it came out. I think I confuse it with Permanent Vacation.
For a morning that nothing is going right, it was nice to have an album I enjoyed.
OMG, This album feels so 80s. I thought of the Superbowl Shuffle on one of the songs (Renegades of Funk, I think) and although I wouldn't listen to it again intentionally, I wouldn't skip it if something came on my playlist. And the album art!
I like R.E.M. but haven't heard many of these songs. I enjoyed the album. I didn't realize it was their debut.
Another that's okay for background music while working but not something I'd opt to listen to otherwise.
It's okay for background music. Never listened to them in the 80s, even then it felt like something you'd hear in a doctor's waiting room.
I enjoyed it, and would listen again but not something I'd normally pick on my own.
I'm not sure if it's his voice or someone who was on the album with him but after a while, I couldn't stand it anymore! Overall it was better than I expected, however, it's not something I would listen to again.
No strong feelings but not sure I can give it a 3. 2.5 maybe?
I didn't think I would like it at first, but it grew on me.
I like a few songs by Blur but don't like them enough to listen to full albums. I want to like them more than I do, but repetitive lyrics are my "nails on a chalkboard"
I really like music like this and will listen again. The song Lush 3.1 reminded me of the music on the Nintendo DS Game Zenses which I haven't thought about in forever!
Very 60's, enjoyed it but not something I normally listen to. I'd listen again and may check out other albums.
Not bad, every song sounded the same. Okay for background music for work or driving.
As much as I despise Morrissey the person, I love the music.
Nostalgic - this is the type of country music I grew up on and while it's enjoyable to revisit, not the type of music I enjoy as an adult.
So excited to see Kraftwerk show up for my album today. I'm not familiar with this one (Tour de France is my favorite) but still solid. Starting my commute to work The Robots was surreal, imagining what the future could be like.
Never heard any of the songs other than Bittersweet Symphony, which fit my mood perfectly for today's commute.
I don't need to listen to this but I will, on repeat for the rest of the day 🖤
Didn't enjoy the album. I had At The Zoo on my Liked Songs playlist but I don't know why. I thought that song may have been what would make the album higher, I was mistaken.
I wasn't sure about this album when I pulled it up on my app but I was surprised. I enjoyed it and had to go back to my history if I had listened to Screaming Trees in the past but didn't remember. I'll check out some of their other stuff.
Another album I couldn't finish, it began to feel like a headache that wouldn't go away.
I thought I wasn't familiar with this group, but I'm only familiar with the first song on this album, which is on my Liked Songs playlist. Very early 80s sound. The album cover made me laugh because I went through the fisherman sweater phase about that time as well
Nope. I forced myself to listen more than the 1st song but couldn't finish the 2nd song either.
Another album I was happy to see. I would listen again
I wasn't sure at first but I enjoyed it.
