Reviews (page 12 of 14)
I liked it but I think it's possibly because I already knew half the songs
More diverse and interesting than Revolver but not quite the masterpiece of the White Album. I like the more melodic and mellow tunes here. And the amount of instruments and soundscapes is truly impressive! The album flows nicely from song to song--you can tell it was created as one work of art, and I love that. I wish there were a 4.5 star option just for this album.
It is a great album. I have listened to it on just about every road trip I've been on for the last 15 or so years and I loved listening to it twice today. It is very easy to like. It is one of the highest rated records of all time for a reason. I'll get this out of the way. I think the Beatles greatness is overstated (I'm more of the mind of Frank Zappa who said The Shaggs were better than the Beatles lol), but this album comes closer to their perceived reputation than any of their other records. Culturally it's one of the most significant records. They elevated pop music and low brow art to the high art which I'm all for, but they certainly weren't the only ones or first ones to have done that. Parts of it are kinda lame and dated. "Benifit of Mr Kite" and "Lovely Rita" come mind. "When I'm 64" is out of place and is a Lennon song from even before they were big and that song should have stayed in the early 60s, not '67. That being said there are only 7 or 8 other albums from '67 that are as good or better. And this was such a huge step for the Beatles and pop culture that I can always appreciate. The far out tracks are the best tracks. It is an album you can comfortably sit and do nothing else but listen to like we used to do. Favorite tracks: Within Without You, Day in a Life
This album has lots of rompy-pompy English sounds which make me wanna watch Postman Pat // I have to admit it's getting better, it's getting better all the time //
This album has some really well known songs, some songs that are campy and some song that are odd. Beatles albums are difficult to rate because a lot of their music is iconic but looking back on it, is it that good of music?
Solid album, one I’m gonna trip to. My A day in the life is beautiful and trippy and a little help from my friends is a solid dingo song. Love his voice
I guess this is iconic. I remember listening to it in music lessons at school, but the tracks are good so apparently that didn't put me off.
I'm going by how much I enjoyed the play-through rather than how important an album is to the Western canon, so I'm gonna go with 4 stars. There's a lot to admire here, no doubt, but also some weaker tracks, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Fave track - "Within You Without You" for bringing in that Indian Classical music vibe, for sure. "A Day in the Life" is also a highlight.
A true classic, these songs will last forever.
There were some fun songs that I liked.
Yo. Former "best album of all time" Low 4 at least. Very experimental album, clearly inspired at points by Ravi Shankar for some reason. They probably all got high and put on some indian music and discovered how cool it can sound. Not really something I would put on any time actually, but it's very cool that such a revered band can make something so out of the ordinary and get praised for it. Kinda cool that it was conceived as one of the first 'concept albums'. "A Day In The Life" is probably John Lennons best song of all time.
What an assortment of songs. Some showing great use of the technology available and others very simple.
Having never really listened to the Beatles much, I was expecting some old-time sounding music. I was not disappointed. The album is pretty good though, starts out pretty strong and seems to keep it up.
A Day in the Life är Beatles bästa låt, tillsammans med Lucy och Sgt Pepper vore det kriminellt att dela ut mindre än 4!!
Really great bass work, nice poppy sounds, they really had fun remastering from mono to stereo. What a journey. I've got songs stuck in my head now.
Interesting album. Different takes were an added touch. Very classic Beatles.
FINALLY! I've been waiting for an album by one of the big big most worthy artists. Sgt. Pepper is very strong. I appreciate how groundbreaking it was, but it's not my favourite Beatles record. Still such a joy to listen to nonetheless. A fabulous listen through and through! Thank you generator for finally satisfying my Beatles craving.
In één woord, geweldig!
I used to have a poster of this album cover on my wall. I bought it at HMV. It went rather nicely with the pale blue/lime green I'd chosen as my decor. You can't tell me I didn't have taste as a 14-year-old.
4 but actually probably a 3. I have been brainwashed into giving it a 4 from sheer repetition and societal pressure. Stockholm Syndrome.
Largely rather excellent.
Peppered with great tunes
It's the beatles
Actually might not be my fav Beatles album. I think you can easily give this a 5 based on historical/impact, but in terms of a listening I may even gravitate towards a 3.5 or 4. So gonna go with 4.
Enjoyed, v experimental, lots of Indian stuff w Paul's more day in the life stuff
Must have been an odd release at the time. Lara says "interesting use of instruments from the orient" haha. Overall pretty strong album with only a couple weird tracks.
Really great, goes without saying. Torn between a 4 and a 5 because while it is undeniably great, influential and a milestone in pop music, i hate Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds with a passion. Some other songs aren't as great as the hype would make you believe.
CLASSIC
I was previously familiar with this album, but never really dug into it particularly, at least compared to other Beatles albums. Like, now that I look at it, I'm only slightly familiar with some of the songs. -I like the spooky and Indian-esque vibes of "Within You Without You" -Whole album was nice, but I preferred the second half. Especially "Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite!," "Within You Without You," "Lovely Rita," "Good Morning Good Morning" -I am well aware of this album's status as an innovative records, but I don't think it holds up as strong as other innovative records. Innovative records like "Black Sabbath" by Black Sabbath or "Tommy" by The Who hold up much better. The music inspired by this album has usurped it, in my opinion.
Gotta respect it don’t gotta love it
Loved it. Knew all the songs but hadn’t listened to them all together
Great songs. Timeless classics.
This album is pog and I must admit it is getting better.
Far out maaaan.
Some weird and proggy songs. Enjoyed
Favorite Beatles album so far.
Pretty good album. Songs are a bit weird, but it doesn’t take away from how good they are.
Not the best Beatles album but still notable for being weird and expiremental which was outstanding for the time.
Iconic, wonderfull. It's not my favourite album of the beatles, but it doesn't make it a bad thing
Classic Beatles
Wide ranging. Clear influences of drugs and Yoko and all the various life stages they were going through. A classic.
Liked the oldies.
This is such a fine album. But I kind of always felt it's missing something, as much sense as that may make.
I'm not a huge Beatles fan, but it's iconic for sure.
- fun, creative, catchy, weird
It’s not the “best of the Beatles” but it’s up there
They were all clearly off their faces when writing/recording this.
I'd have to say, the best of the Beatles
Great start, great end, few weak tracks in the middle
Since so many say this is the greatest album of all time, it's tough to give it anything but a 5. Great production, orchestration and album art. IMO 3 or 4 songs are a bit "meh", 2 too many for a 5 from me.
Interesting and conceptual. More drug-driven and plays more with middle voice instruments
A classic
Really great album though starts off excellent but then the rest of the songs aren't eye popping except for the last song, A Day in the Life. 9/10.
Every track is a certified hood classic (apart from Within You). 7/10, Mr. Kite is cool.
Good album, not the best they've put out, you can definitely hear the experimentation in this which makes for some hits but more importantly misses
Some real classics in here. Ah... that loops lovely.
Concept much?
Not my favorite Beatles album by any stretch, but still a lot of damn solid songs on there that are classics by every merit. George=best beatle
Pretty cool and and its iconic
Great, great record. Not *tons* of their biggest hits, but a thoroughly great record.
Classic.
Some cool stuff, some timeless stuff if course, but half of it is corny as hell.
My favorite album for many years growing up, but it hasn’t aged as well for me as most of the other Beatles material.
8.6
BIIIIILL-EEEEEEY SHEARS!
several great classics
Lucy in sky of diamonds is bop
Half good, half fine
Not my favourite Beatles album?
I meaan it's the beatles it's really gooood
Possibly in a minority (of those that actually like the Beatles) feeling this falls short of the coherence of Rubber Soul and Revolver. But one of the great psychedelic rock albums of the era
Lots of good songs and a cool variety of instrumentation.
A very nice album. I love most Beatles songs. It was some time ago that I had listenend to the whole album.
Album quasi parfait.
Very fun songs actually. Good album.
It's a really solid album but some of the songs a really weak. The best songs are some of the greatest ever made though.
I wish I could listen to a Beatles album anew, without being aware of them and their legacy. Their music has been with me since before I was me, Mum was a big fan. I can't imagine how mindblowing this album must have been when it was released in '67, it's so unlike anything else. There's still nothing quite like it. I prefer other Beatles albums, but this is still fantastic.
Nice classic, lots of good hits and drug references
Not their best album imo but really not bad. Im torn with giving it a 5 cause beatles, but 4 is fine imo
spotify couldn't find the album.. so
Första conceptalbumet? Före sin tid
I feel like this one has a little bit of a darker tone than previous Beatles albums. I've heard all the songs on this before but never listened the whole way through the album, so this was interesting. Especially on "Fixing a Hole," you can kind of tell the Beatles were diverging from where they were at before. "A Day In The Life" = still my favorite Beatles song. Obviously this is one of the best albums of all time, I get a liiiiittle bored toward the middle so I'm gonna give it 4 stars.
Mid
1967. Key Songs: With A Little Help From My Friends, Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds
Classic album, a lot of the tracks aren’t for me but I totally see why folks love this stuff
Classic psychedelia from the most famous band in the world!
6.8/10 One of those albums that kind of lost my interest over time. It used to be my favorite album, but as I discovered more and more music, it just kinda started sounding less and less exciting to me. I'm DEFINITELY not one to call The Beatles overrated, but this album kinda gives that title off for me. It's not a bad album by any means; there's ambition, cool recording techniques, and interesting ideas, but it just doesn't work for me coming back to it. Something about some moments just don't feel finished to me, even though they put in like 600 hours (I think) into mixing it. I just find myself gravitating to most other Beatles albums as opposed to Sgt Pepper's. A Day in the Life gives it bonus points though. One of, if not their best songs. (Had to throw in my icy cold take with my slightly warm one)
It's good 'n' all, it's also kinda hokey -
Ehright
Too many music hall novelty numbers, for me.
A Day in the Life is an amazing song, the rest was various levels of not for me. I think this is my least favourite of the Beatles albums we've had (so far)
ik prob higher but im in a rounding down mood rn
Great album, though not their best. I think the first half of the album is far better than the second half. Even still it's a good album. I just prefer most of their later stuff starting with The White Album more.
I get why this is an important record, but it doesn't do a lot for me. I like the first and last tracks and that's about it.
Intro had me really amped up for something more conceptual here but all the songs in middle are just classic mellow Beatles stuff - not necessarily bad but not what I was expecting and felt a little let down
Well….listen, I’ve never really gotten The Beatles. I understand their legacy, I know about the hysteria, it all makes sense but this album, for all I’ve heard about it over the years, kind of disappointing. For what was meant to be some sort of concept album, I felt like it fell apart after the first half. Some real standouts with ‘A Day In The Life’, ‘With A Little Help From My Friends’ and naturally ‘Lucy…’
again. major drug vibes
Good a bit overrated
Surprisingly still holds up well, some tracks kind of boring though.
my least fav Beatles album, for me it's all the worst Beatles song writing tendencies condensed in one album. with that being said it has A Day in the Life which is probably my favourite Beatles song, so that bumps it up a lot
Chill album, my favorite song was "being for the benefit of mr. kite!". Not a big fan tho, I wouldn't listen to it again.
i don't like the beatles at all and don't understand why so many people love them. this album was actually better than expected, or maybe my tastes have changed so i dislike them less than i used to for some reason. still not something i would want to listen to regularly though
Decent selection of songs but doesn't have many of my favourites of theirs.
Repeat listen
- few good ones but not my favorite beatles album
In The Sky With Diamonds banger
it's good but most faded into the background for me
I get why it’s so beloved … but it didn’t do it for me. They did some really cool things here with the audio (particularly on the first song), and had some great hits, but a lot of the songs felt borderline filler and totally inconsistent. 3+
Some good songs but most meh Beatles album on this list so far
okay! im hearing the voice on the left and the instrument on the right. with a lil help from my friends is sweet!
buen disco, me gusto dentro de todo
Not my cup of tea but it’s the Beatles
The Good: We get to join a band! The Bad: What if we don’t have a lonely heart? The Ugly: That look of sheer jealousy from the other band members, with their broken hearts… suckers! Well.. I knew it was coming… the album that is. And I listened, with great interest as I’d never really listened to the album… and I liked the start, and then I started noticing the influence that several songs on this album must have had for Queen’s work further down the line… And then we got mystical… we got sihtar.. we got a general thought of “what the fuck is this doing here?” And then they just lost me… Lucy In The Sky, With A Little Help Form My Friends… what monster classic gems! The rest… I could have been spared most of the album, to tell you the truth… I heard the album Mr Dimery, can I die now? 3 1/2 downgraded… 3*
need to be high to do the whole thing but it's pretty cool and I'd heard most of it
good album, not the beast of them.
"When Im 64" really crashes this album
not mad at it rn
Kinda annoying?
It has an interesting background context but it’s not their best and some songs are so weird.
Not sure I’ve ever listened to it all the way through. A day in the life is incredible. Some other good stuff. But some shockers. Just feels like throwing tracks on an album
It's fine, but by the end, I was tired of The Beatles.
Its the Beatles, had high expectations and none of these songs are ones ill go out of my way to listen to. Definitely an experimental album knowing their other albums. 3
I liked the first few songs but not so much the rest
Really not sure how I feel about this album. I'm sure in the time it came out it was otherworldly. Some songs are just annoying, some are good.
To quote a famous whining philosopher: "If I speak... big trouble, big trouble. And I prefer not to be in big trouble."
The only Beatles studio album in my shelves, and only the second time I've played it in full. 'A Day In The Life' is really good... that's all I have really. There's one or two tracks that reach a level amongst a lot of naff filler. Heard before ✅️ Listened this time ✅️ Revisit 🫳 ★★★☆☆ (5/10) Total reviewed : 288 Already owned : 64 Purchased : 15 To buy : 3 Nope : 206
A proper album, but i am grading largely on how likely i am to re-listen to the whole thing. some hits in this, but also some filler
Not my favourite album of theirs, but can imagine how insane this was when it came out
I wasn't wowed by this, honestly. I hope I enjoy future Beatles albums more. It wasn't bad by any means, just not compelling to me and I didn't love the vocals.
Revolutionary, but disjointed AF.
Sgt Peppers is often hailed as the once of the best albums ever, Perhaps the best that the Beatles ever made. This is both an incredible testament to the Beatles as a music making unit that for something to be in the upper part of their discography is must also be one of the best albums ever made. It's also a wonderful example of how powerful good aesthetics are. Sgt Peppers invokes such specific imagery, the cover, the outfits. There are also absolute bangers on here. The album starts with three of them back to back. But from there you get into a meaty middle of songs that don't keep up with that opening crawl. A decent number of these ideas in the heart of this album are explored better on albums that either came before or after this in the Beatles discography. There are really only a few songs on this that essential even within the Beatles own music. But this albums benefits from those few songs being at the extreme ends of the album and packaged in an all out and very fun packaging. Don't misinterpret me as saying this is bad by any means, 3 is probably harsh, but the actual music here isn't the best the Beatles had for us and is pretty massivley overrates. TLDR, Revolver is much better.
great album for a monday morning in the office.
I was digging the beginning of this one but I think it got worse over the course of the album. 3 stars
good album to listen to while enjoying a mafia game
Juguetón, experimental, variado
This is my first full Beatles album listen. I expected the social commentary and pretentious production moments, but didn’t expect the more self reflective, and ‘couples’ focused tracks. The bolder songs such as Within You Without You did not resonate with me, but I was doing chores on indica so probably not the correct drug choice to properly appreciate that songs risks. Listening in 2026 also naturally renders the album less innovative, I can imagine it being significantly more immersive at the time. While I don’t think I’ll return to the album as a whole, the listening experience wasn’t negative and I liked a handful of tracks.
6/10 on the first listen, some interesting songs
I am not one of those crazy Beatles fans and honestly think this album is overrated. I said what I said.
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band 1967, The Beatles (27 marzo, 2026). Puntuación: 7/10 Vibes: Circo Beat de Fito, psicodelia, lava lamps, caleidoscopio, collage, dream fever tipo Walter Mitty, el diario de Greg, arquitectura archigram, bongos, camisa de estampado de palmeras y playa, Wes Anderson, Bali, India, The Darjeeling Limited, "Lovely Rita, meter maid!" Datos: Brit rock, Collage sonoro experimental Canción favorita: Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, A Day In The Life (escucharlo con audífonos)
Liked the titular song and most of it really. Good listen, I was listening to the remastered version though. I can see how it was a huge influence for decades after.
They could stand to be a bit more innovative

Fun and energetic album
I actually enjoyed this album to my surprise, I usually don’t enjoy old albums.
Weirdly despite quite liking the Beatles, I'd never really given this album much of a listen. And for whatever reason I find myself quite muted on it. There are tracks here I really like - particularly Within You Without You - but this definitely feels like the weaker of the band's golden era records that I've listened to so far.
Overrated
C'est pas le meilleur je trouve
Cannot deny the influence and the weirdness, even if it's a bit overwhelming at points
fave song: when i'm sixty four vibe: not my fave beatles album (revolver fancam) but solid and foundational, resident of the intersection of mom and dad music rating: 66/100
An overall enjoyable collection of psychedelic sounds and melodies. The composition shines more than anything else on this album. The songs flow nicely into one another, making it an alright listen - especially the first half. The intro, in particular, grabbed me. That said, the album never truly moved me. I suppose I will try again some day, but as a whole it didn't manage to convert me into a Beatles fan. I have tried multiple times, and while I fully recognize how their legacy shaped music, I can't say they are among my personal favorites. The best tracks for me were "With a Little Help From My Friends" and "Within You Without You".
3.5
I get why the beetles are so good, I just don't like their music that much, at least this album
Liked it somewhat. Just not my type
the truth is that i'm just not a crazy huge beatles fan. SORRY. pleasant to listen to but not an album i'd seek out. lovely rita was my favorite
I like this one for its softness and easy listening. There's a lot of classics here, but I'll be honest I think nostalgia has a big effect on this one for me. I wonder if I would like this album the same if I had not grown up around it. Positives: A lot of the instrument choices on this one are still refreshing to this day. The arrangements are still very unique and layered nicely. Negatives: I don't really find myself attaching strong emotions to many of these songs, save a couple. Favourite song upon listening: She's Leaving Home Started/Finished: 1am 24/02/2026 - 2am 24/02/2026 (single listen) Did I grow up with this one: yes Number of albums reviewed: 1 (including this one) 1 is bad, 2 is not for me, 3 is good, 4 is great, 5 is legendary ~ My music buff family made a music buff of me ~
No a big beatles fan but its great
Relatively good album 2/3 really good songs
This album was difficult for me to rate, both because it’s the first album we got and because the reputation and impact of the Beatles is often better than their music itself. I love the exciting, rock tones in some of the songs but overall feel that other than the notoriety, many of the songs are a little… milquetoast. Season: Late Spring Favorite Song: Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band
Within you without you 2. She’s leaving home 3. Lovely Rita 4. A day in the life
meh
oh my gosh is that an album cover?! nyuhhhhh uhhh so good
A very eccentric album. The Beatles definitely defines their unique style here. When I'm Sixty Four and Lovely Rita were pretty good, and Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds was probably my favorite (and one of the only Beatles songs I can recognize). 5.8/10. Good, but I probably wouldn't sit down and listen to these songs again.
Lo be the Beatles but a but repairs Ive agent
Can appreciate it, but a little too weird and experimental for me. LSD is a good tune —-this was first time listening as I remember. — I Re-listened and liked better this time!
there are better beatles
Great vibes coming from this album and honestly great synergy and sound coming from the band. Also loved all the other instrumental elements either being strings or some winds in there really added to the album's dynamic. 6.5/10, Favorite Song: When I'm Sixty Four
Twas fun. I had never listened to a Beatles album in full, better than I expected.
Solid album!
Better than I thought it would be
Thirteen songs from the Beatles. It's not my favorite album of theirs, not even in the top 3 despite loving a few of the songs. I find the stretch from Fixing a Hole to Lovely Rita doesn't really move me. So this record feels more important for what it represents in the Beatles' career and how it helped open up the sound of popular music than for how much I enjoy it. Speaking of representation, have you ever sat and stared at the album cover? It's an idea of a "who's who" of 20th-century culture. But that idea is also bound in time and place, so the perspective, while intending to be wide, narrows over time. Looking at it now, I don't recognize nearly all the individuals in this collage meant to represent a magic crowd of movers, shakers, and history shapers. I have heard, through the power of the internet, that a few folks were left off the cover to avoid controversy. I guess even the Beatles had limits.
Objectively good album with good music. It was enjoyable but not necessarily an album I anticipate re-visiting, probably because the genre isn't completely up my alley. Still a great listen!
As always with The Beatles in my experience, some songs are bangers, and the others are kind of there. Most of the second half of this album was just alright. Like, they certainly have the ability to create some fantastic music, but they’re so inconsistent. I enjoyed this album. I can’t say a single song was bad, but at the same time, it wasn’t impressive in any way. Good album, but I can’t say I agree with all the praise it’s getting. 7/10
🥇with a little help from my friends 🥈getting better 🥉lucy in the sky with diamonds HM: when i’m sixty four, good morning good morning, sgt pepper’s lonely hearts club band reprise
Ah my favorite Beatles album. Mostly cause it's weird. I was also told this and Pet Sounds was the first whole album idea. So apparently before those two albums were mostly just singles mashed up and released. So this and Pet Sounds were the first mainstream albums created from idea to creation to release as a whole idea and not just individual songs. It's a fun album, get really weird in tracks but works for me. No I'm not a fan of every song, I like the concept and execution of it and will enjoyed several songs. It flows better than the white album. It's worth listening to even without the historical context.
Started off rlly strong, fell off a bit but still enjoyed it tbh. Basic but fav is with a little help from my friends. So upbeat and fun.
I was trying my best to expect good things, but I found myself excitedly awaiting the end. I will not be listening to the various versions at the end
Not my fav beatles
Beatles. Decent, I can see the appeal.
Known it for a long time. Other than some brilliant moments, to me there are much better Beatles albums. I understand that everything about this record is revolutionary, but I just like the other albums better.
really liked the beginning. started to lose me when it came to all the carnival/zoo noises. should i be giving points for creativity or just go off of my personal enjoyment? i think the latter
It's cool how weird and experimental they got with this one. Did I like most of the songs? No, but I can appreciate the album as a whole and had a good time. Glad I finally listened to this one, big hole in my knowledge.
Overrated.
I’m a bit sniffy with regards to the Beatles as I believe they are greatly overhyped , however I was pick an album I would pick this one for the art work alone the cover is fantastic
i mean, i guess.
There’s one song on this that makes me disoriented and nauseous
Quite a few good songs on this album, but far from my favorite Beatles album.
Classic Beatles but once again… it’s the beatles
Kinda weird. I’ve heard some of these songs before.
feels like a Wes Anderson movie combined with Ace Ventura movies

I'm not the biggest Beatles fan in the world, but I'm finding that the "drugged out era" of the Beatles (which my parents always referred to this record as) is probably my favorite stuff of theirs. It's less sugary pop than their earlier stuff, and it takes a few more calculated risks than the Beatlemania era of their music, and they still retain a lot of their pop sensibilities without so much saccharine nonsense. I'm still not willing to fawn over them, cause not every risk they take on this record pays off for me (there are a few legitimate stinkers on this record...and also, I really hate the sitar), but I can appreciate this record a lot more than their earlier body of work. 3.4/5
To quote a dead genius: "They were so high they let Ringo sing a couple of tunes"
Its more my vibe and I might listen again
like it was nice, it ws kind of experimental since there were a lot of different rythyms and the songs overall were different which i like, buuut, the songs werent much my style. But i respect the album.
I liked this!! But I find it insane that the doors' debut album came out in the same year, because that is far more interesting and intricate (that was generated a couple days ago so I can't help comparing the two). Standout tracks (all 3.5/5) - She's leaving home - Lovely Rita - Good morning good morning
Worst - She's leaving home Best - Lucy in the Sky
Personally speaking, I am not a big Beatles fan. This album, in particular, I had a few favorite songs, but the rest I can kind of tolerate. Though it's not bad, it's just not my taste.
I hate this era of the Beatles
Beatles are overrated
Čudne harmonike in trube hahaah
Classic album that everyone should listen to. Great start!
6.5/10
An upbeat album for the Beatles, but a little too “showy” for my tastes. All of the songs are catchy, but there are so many other great Beatles works out there!
it was very old timey obviously. sounded good. I already knew Lucy in the sky with diamonds and that's definitely my favorite. probably wouldn't listen on my own but that's ok
Mid but not bad some hits for surrereeerrrre
One of my primary school teachers used to use some of the tracks from this album in her classes. Can't say I've revisited it much since then but a good record all round, if not something I'd go to of my own accord.
Generational
Was alright. Lucy in the Sky is a bop as always
Best Beatles album?
але це не моє. fav songs: within you without you. a day in the life.
i enjoyed the show, for the most part.
I see the influence this album has on many bands that came after it. Personally, I struggle to listen to any music by the beatles.
One of the better Beatles albums.
It's Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club band, how can you not like it?
Uggghhh finally time to listen to the Beatles I guess…. After listening to it it’s not bad, but not for me. The only songs I liked were Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, A Day in the Life and maybe the title track so 🤷
Oh joy, another Beatles album. Other reviews rave about chords sticking in you soul for long periods, or music in technicolor, but I just heard the same tracks that have been overplayed on every radio station in the world for 40 years. Sure this was seminal, but does this list really need to include every single note ever recorded by anyone even vaguely connected to this fucking band?
Solid album, you can't go wrong with the Beatles.
I can certainly appreciate is, but it honestly didn't give me much. I like the vibe and overall feel. It sort of blended into one big piece, which is I guess by design as a concept album. Definitely worth listening to overall.
Well, this was inevitable, might's well get it over with. Yep, "Sgt Peppers" is an incredibly important record that inspired countless important bands in later years. But do I ever want to listen to it again? No. (Aw come on, even "Day in the Life"? NO.) This record came out when I was nine years old and has been on constant rotation ever since - so yes, I have heard it, thank you.
truly felt like a circus and i liked that. i can acknowledge its greatness but its not my vibe there’s an instrument in there that isnt doing it for me
A classic and genre-bending album to change how we heard and viewed music. The Summer of Love, will we experience something like that again?
Hard to say what I thought about the album. Most of it is solid classic rock music, but one song struck me as being very aware of the Beatles's star power.
The Beatles are good, not breaking any ground by saying that. This album has some weird songs and overall doesn't have their best stuff on it but none of it was bad and two of them are quite good.
Strong start, excellent finish. (But lol it's chaff in the middle let's be fr?)
Los Beatles cumplen, pero no me flipan
First of all, we have to acknowledge the enormous impact this album had on popular music and culture in general. That can't be denied. Unfortunately it is to its detriment that it inspired so many artists to do better. In short it has not aged well. There are absolutely some great songs here, but the whole offering is incoherrent. It has some of the worst of Paul's "Granny Music". For Every "A Day In The Life" there is a "When I'm Sixty-Four". They are throwing literally everything at the wall, and only some of it sticks. It's adventurous and experimental, but not all experiments are worth repeating. If I were to listen to The Beatles, I'd much rather go for the albums immediately preceding or following Sgt. Peppers. Revolver is just a much more consistently enjoyable listening experience, and the white album is way more daring and interesting. Sgt. Peppers deserves it's reputation as a groundbreaking work. It really was important, but that doesn't mean it's particularly good.
Sensacional.
Beatles innit
(73/100)
Whimsical
Might be my favorite Beatles album. Definitely walks the line between creative and circus music, but more successfully than magical mystery tour, which feels more campy. It's the Beatles. I listen to the opening song a lot. wish it would go on longer before ringo starts singing.
Really liked the final note of A Day in the Life. Holds so well
Hot take but this is probably my least favorite Beatles album even though it has some of their best songs. Just good to me nothing more.
Ah, we have finally made it to the Beatles. According to current online music discourse I am not allowed to dislike this band as they influenced every other artist ever and invented literally every music genre. Luckily for me I form my own opinions. So let's see. Damn this really went into some bing bing wahoo ass music
At first I thought I might finally warm up to the Beatles, but then the second half was pretty irritiating.
didn’t listen
I think me being so far removed from a pre-Beatles world prevents me from appreciating the Beatles as much as others rave about them. I also think if I was on acid or seriously stoned I would enjoy this (and other Beatles albums, I'm looking at you White Album) a lot more. However, I was not when I heard this so it's just kinda meh. It sounds nice, if kinda weird. I dunno this just really doesn't do anything for me and I don't really understand in an emotional sense (I can understand it in an academic sense) the impact this had on music in general. Call me stupid if you want, I don't really care, this album is kinda mid.
not one of the stronger Beatles albums. can see how it had big impact on other artists &appreciate variety of styles/sounds. just not my favorite.
3.15
Idk man. Lots of familiar songs. Lots of variety. Very different. Definitely get it but again I think this is a "you had to be there album/band"
Not their best but still great
The Beatles are great. Not every album is a 5 though. This one has a few great songs but altogether is not a favorite and I probably won’t listen to it again in its entirety.
if it wasn't the beatles making this album... i'd probably enjoy it a lot more. this album is so revolutionary - it helped shaped most albums i've ever listened to in my life, the fascinating use of all sorts of instruments is just such a wonder - you only need to look at the review i gave a few days prior on Kate Bush's The Sensual World to see that I love that sorta stuff. I just can't... enjoy it. they just don't do anything special to me, their voices are annoying to me. maybe i just dislike 60's Psychedelic Rock...
I'm going to offend 90% of the people on the website when I say this, but why the hell is this album rated as one of the best albums ever? We are not in 1967, we are in 2025... There is not much that is special to modern ears, like Wow, that is groundbreaking. It sounds like an album produced by some talented musicians on drugs, not by some of the greatest artists ever. If this were 1967, then, sure, with the talent in the industry at the time, I would commend this album with the nature of the industry. This dreamy, loose, and psychedelic album does not meet the standards that a modern music listener can enjoy. Give this album to someone who has not listened to this album before, and you will be shocked to see how they will rate it. I know that, as this is my first time listening to this album, as someone who wants to like all different types of music. Not bad, but insanely overrated.
Ok when I'm 64 is a banger 3/5 still
Kids love Lucy in the Sky
Interesting, haven't listened to much of the Beatles, however the variance in each song was intriguing, though not as immersive as I was expecting. Lucy in the sky with diamonds, getting better and when I'm sixty four are my top 3.
Yes - it is The Beatles and yes - it is a milestone in music. But from my nowadays perspective it is an average album with only a few standout tracks and also a few sucker.
Classic, can get repetitive with lyrics but its beatles still a classic.
Pretty good album, respect for being pioneers with this one, though some parts of it were missing me with the vibe a bit. Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds is by far my favorite on the album. Good album name.
Classique mais pas mon style
Pretty overrated album I think. Obviously has some amazing and super influential songs - mainly at the start and end. But there’s a fair few duds through the middle.
I am famously a Beatles skeptic, but I liked this album. I felt like the first half of the record was a lot stronger than the second half, but overall very solid. Best Track: She’s Leaving Home
Couple of standout tracks and a few fillers
Never heard of it
I don’t get it I’m afraid. I’m a big fan of bits and bobs of the Beatles catalogue.. but I just can’t get on with this one. I appreciate it was pretty revolutionary at the time but I don’t think it did it for me
I guess you really had to have been there. It is pretty inoffensive.
Very calm and chill
Viele solide Songs. Nichts was mich komplett überzeugt hat.
Love the beginning, love the end, but the middle lacks quite a bit i feel. It feels illegal to give a Beatles album a 3 star but here we are? Fixing a hole through to within you without you ranges from boring, to just quite annoying. Such an incredible opening four songs though, just banger after banger. Best Tracks: With a little help from my friends or when I'm Sixty Four. 3.5/5
A little too weird for me.
Migos clears
It's an iconic album bookended by classic songs. But frankly, the material in the middle of the album isn't that enjoyable to listen to.
Beatles albums rarely feel coherent to me in any meaningful way, and Sgt Pepper’s is the worst offender. I like a lot of the songs on this album independently, but it’s lesser than the sum of its parts.
First four tracks are great, the rest verges on annoying to overrated
What starts off promising - A Little Help From My Friends and Lucy in the Sky being a sublime way to kick off - quickly collapses into the same quirky flower power pulp we're used to. By 'Within You' we're back to the sitar and the thin spiritualism has taken over once more. I dont care for the Sgt Peppers idea either - I suppose we are to put a premium on this because theyre the first people to invent a fictional band or whatever people say about this. I can't think of a more annoying place to be than in the room when they were brainstorming this concept in 1967. And what do they do with it? Nothing. It's forgotten by the second track.
The album does not live up to the hype or the standard set by track 1.
As near to liking a Beatles album as I get, I suppose.
It's pretty good but I might be crucified for saying that it is just pretty good. Some people say it's the first psychedelic rock album but there are others from the era I prefer. Good songs: A day in the life, With a little help from my friends
3/5
fun but very meh compared to their other work

For a casual music listener (not a producer or historical junkie) this was pretty enjoyable but not quite as excellent as the Beatles popular legacy holds. Creating a band for an album then focusing on production-heavy tracks instead of actually working off of the lore of the band is wasted potential in my eyes
Unlike many other millennials, I did not grow up with my parents listening to the Beatles. My exposure to them was limited to whenever others around me were listening to them, making this another first for listening to the album in full. There's a few mega classic songs on here. A lot of it feels like this was in the drug fueled era of "do whatever we want" with each song taking influences from everywhere. Listening on headphones shows the amount of layering and sound engineering present. I understand the cultural impact of this album, but I doubt I'll revisit it.
I didn't realize that the album is almost nearly in descending order of songs I enjoy. Picks up again for me on the last 3 tracks. I recognize it's a true classic, but I guess I'm not as attached to it as I thought I was. Solid 3.5, but I think the rest of the world rates it high enough to make up for the missing half star.
Pretty good, would give another go
Pretty good a little silly but I can see why it’s so iconic
I can respect the Beatles and still not want to listen to them
Thought it was solid but to me nothing really stood out. 3/5
Pleasant and amazing for its time, but not something I would listen to regularly
Not keen on the Beatles
