I went into this album thinking that i wouldn't like it but wow... I was surprised to say the least. It really is one of the greatest pop albums of the 80s. With every track I can hear the influence it made on even today's music. Can't give anything less than a 5.

a masterpiece theough and through… it is a bit long but I dont think there are skips on it. It’s all structured nicely and all the songs are beautifully recorded and mixed so theres that too. It has one of my favorite songs Cupid de locke also

This one is good and probably one of his best for me but its only because of the instrumental. I didnt like the title track I dont know what people are praising that one for. Fame was cool af tho. This was soooo great. The Daft Punk influence is undeniable to the point, where these guys were listening to Discovery every morning on their way to the studio, but they still created something unique that was also influential to the sound of the 2010s. The Party really is ass, that's why it's not a 10/10. I'd rate it 4.5/5

Even if I don’t look at the historical significance, this albums slaps. With the (probably remaster) I listened to, every instrument was clean, punchy just how a perfect raggae album would sound. This might even be better than Exodus. Gotta give both a re-listen

There's nothing that would grip me it just sounds a bit worse than some of the time's greats. and HOW was it voted best album of 1992? Hello? Chronic, Dirty (Sonic Youth), the Cure album, but Pavement and Alice in chains would've all deserved it more

This might be my favorite sonic youth record. I think this one has the best production out of the "top" records (Sister and Daydream Nation), the fuzzy guitars and bass sound sooooo goood.
I have to say this is kind of exactly my music taste so I can't go objective here, this is a 5 star album. Maybe not the strongest on the list, but I'd absolutely love to listen to this any day.

This was the flyest album I’ve ever heard. Timbaland is insane on this one. I didn’t really know or appreciate his work that much up to this point but this absolutely proves that he’s one of the best to ever do it. The mixing was insane too. This album that wants to sound like the 2000s sounds much better than most of the big albums in that era. Loved it front to back

I dont know It’s been a long time since I first heard this one and it still is an amazing journey to listen front to back. I own it on vinyl and I think everyone should listen to this with the volume up High so you can hear all the layers. I tried listening on a lower volume and it just doesn’t hit the same. I love it for what it is so much. Easy 5. Sometimes is my favorite track right now.

I briefly listened to them back in high school when we were trying to sound like these guys, but I didn't listen to the whole thing. Probably only the Just Like Heaven cover most of the time. This is an amaziong project. The recording quality ofc is ass, but I don't think it would hit the same if it was mastered perfectly. A really cool no-miss project that I think is a really unique one. I don't think I'm gonna give it a 5 just because of the mixing and sound inconsistency, but I love this one. Finally a great album like this.

This as i can see from the comments is a divisive album. I finally am in the group that loves the album. Didn't take too long to realize that Bjork is on this one, and I think she made this one shine. And I'm really glad I could also recognize the similarity to B-52s. I don't think that this is any worse than them.
I loved the themes, the instrument sounds and of course the Icelandic girlie's voice on this one. I want to listen again in the future for sure

I almost like this as much as Neermind and In Utero. There are 2 weaker songs for me on the project, but all of the others hit reeeeal hard. I love grunge in this era. Some songs sound very similar, but shit i like that song

This is an amazing album. I just have nothing bad to say about it. All tracks are very good, no skips at all. I loved Dummy by Portishead, and this one is pretty close to that trip-hop sound. I think this is more easy to listen to, much less dark, so I think they go together really well. Solid 5

I of course hated some of the lyrics but thats kind of the point i guess? It's leaning closer to the 2000s hiphop sound, which I don't really like. Some songs are amazing, I'd say 4-5 of the 18. I get it, he's a storyteller and there are a bunch of characters, and all... Not really my thing. Some dre beats are of course really good, but this didn't make me like the guy more. Maybe a higher 3 because of the bangers, but I have no motivator to listen to the whole thing in full ever again

I’m glad i listened to this one as it’s probably important. I heard De La and Tribe called quest mentioned so many times I was just wishing i was listening to them instead. Qtip came on on one song too that was cool.
I don’t know, the lyrics were unexpected for me, but kinda funny and sometimes just positive stuff which is nice, but you know a little too positive? Also the mixing was all over the place. Loved the samples tho.

This is not really what I thought it would be. Some arrangements are veery easy 10/10s. And I thought it would be just a bunch of bangers and instrumental hiphop. But this is an eletronica record with a little bit of trip-hop. And also I was very surprised by melodies coming back one or two songs later. It's like the whole project is trying to capture the art of creating music based on samples.
In this context, it could be a 5/5, I know it's significance, i know it's influence, but I still don't want to listen to it all day every day. I love Massive Attack and Portishead much more in this era, they did trip-hop much better in my opinion. Still it's an easy 4/5 for me

Halleluwah was the first song that I heard from them (a different, much shorter version) and i loved that song so much even at 16 years old. Now, 8 years later I still think Can is one of the best bands from the era. The first half of this is straight bangers. The transition from the first song to Mushroom might be one of the best song transitions I've ever heard.
Thing is if it wasn't for the change into weirdness from Aumgm, it would be an easy 5. Like this, I think I'll give it a 4. Ege might be better

An amazing album, honestly at first I thought it's pretty close to In Utero, but by the end I guess not. Nevertheless I loved the sound of it. I find albini's production to be a little inconsistent throughout the album, but it still manages to capture the essence of each song. Did not pay that much attention to the lyrics, but what i heard was pretty damn good. So I think this is either a stroooong 4 or a low 5. This is really a Genre that’s mostly a miss for me. I don’t really like theatrical rock at all. Too much piano and overly dramatic singing is off-putting to me most of the time. I too expected a little more from this. Fleetwood Mac can definitely not make bad music, but this was not a focused record. Lots of way different ideas without any cohesion in sound or lyrics. Sounds amazing, some easy 10/10 songs, but altogether a mid to low 4 star

This is an album by Bob Dylan that I think shows and highlights the fact that he's just not that good of a singer. I'm not a lyrics person, but I think they would've shined and impressed me a bit more if the songs were performed by somebody else. I love all of his earlier records, and close to none after this one. Mid 3
