One of my all time favorite albums from one of my all time favorite bands. There's not a single miss on this album.

Urban Hymns by The Verve

The only song I ever knew of theirs was bittersweet symphony before listening to this. I was not expecting the rest of the album to have songs as good or even better than it. Very good album that I will look forward to repeat listenings.

Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots by The Flaming Lips

There's certainly some stuff that works, but a whole lot more that doesn't work on this album.

Ellington at Newport by Duke Ellington

Man I really hated this. This is just not for me.

Odelay by Beck

Not as good as I remember it being. Still a few songs that I really love on here, but the rest are pretty forgettable.

Abattoir Blues / The Lyre of Orpheus by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds

I really hated this. Of course it was a double album.

This was quite nice.

Innervisions by Stevie Wonder

Really enjoyed this. A couple songs will be in the regular rotation

Fragile by Yes

Roundabout, Mood for a day, and heart of sunrise were the highlights of the album for me. I don't care much for the solo songs performed by the individual members of the band. They aren't bad songs, but it does make the album feel unfinished. Overall a pretty decent album.

Trout Mask Replica by Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band

Wow what an experience. Not necessarily a good one, but one that I will remember for a long time. It's certainly original, especially for its time. I think the album is too long and has too much going on. I struggled to tell if I was liking what I was hearing or if I felt that way because the previous 3 songs sounded like a plane crash. I'll try to revisit it someday to try and re evaluate it, but I ain't got the energy to do it anytime soon.
