Yks aikoijemme makeimmasta äänistä. Varmaan joka biisi kuultu radiosta tai pikavideopalvelusta k

Adele is clearly talented and has a fabulous voice. These are good songs. I could see myself returning for Rumour Has It. But my taste bone is not especially tickled by the other tracks. Bonus point for covering The Cure, though.

upon learning this is the best-selling album of the 21st century (so far) i was incredulous, but after a front to back listen: it makes sense! the album is solid, and adele's incredible vocals are able to elevate it to something that much more. it was an enjoyable listen, though beyond a few songs (rumor has it) it didn't leave any indelible impression on me - i heard most of these songs on repeat in the mid 2010s and i'm happy to leave them there. and not that anyone asked: but i think i'll always have some difficulty approaching certain songs (ahem, someone like you) in earnest because of how much it's been meme-ified. i can't hear that song and not feel ironic. that's not adele's fault, and it's not a knock on the album, i just have internet brain worms. highlights - rumor has it, turning tables, set fire to the rain

Fuck meeeeee. Great album though.

I really appreciate her voice. Not the target audience for the lyrics haha

I know it’s a seminal album, but it bores me. Next.

Adele, 21 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ She's a force. What a voice. Like growly blues singer. I love that she gives an ever-so-subtle bit of working class Briton in her delivery. She's not Lana Del Ray trying to ape 50s movie starlet. She's Adele, dammit. She's like the singing equivalent of Megan Stalter. Out there. In your face. Brooding. Sexy. Honest. Not this effects-laden Billie Eilish. Not kinda one-trick Gaga. Or exciting-but-ultimately-gets-old Katy Perry. Just real, with songs that make you think "yeah, she's seen this for real." When she turns 25 I think her stuff gets more interesting but I get the appeal of her debut.

It’s okayyyyy, but One and Only is actually very fun on a NYC evening walk

3 out of 5, second album by Adele on this list. I found this one better than 25, more enjoyable melodies.

Defined elementary school for me. Someone like you is the most 2011 song in the world. Set fire to the rain is one of the first songs I ever memorized.

Consistent 2010s soul pop.

This is so weird. I feel like all the components are good, but I’m just not feeling it. I was bored and idk. It lacked something vital for me.

I listened to it on repeat for a year when it was released, so I know it by heart. iconic. However, I don't think I will ever listen to it again if not forced to as I was today by this page.

13 year old me might have been appalled at this take, but sometimes there's a reason why music is popular. Despite hearing these songs in every dentist office and department store and getting sick of them for like a five year period, its a pretty decent album. I'll give my edgy teenage self one point of agreement that Someone Like You kind of sucks, I wish she ended on the Cure cover. The rest is a well-produced, if not a tad bland, pop soul album, with impressive vocals. Its not to my taste but still good on a technical level

Beetje zelfde als 25 eigenlijk, iets hoger pieken, iets vaker dat gevoel van zwaar overplayed.

Ooh boy, nog een Adele album. Met ook alle grote hits zoals rolling in the deep, set fire to the rain en someone like you.

Adele has a great voice but her songs don’t do much for me

Great album, probably one of the best and most memorable of my generation. I definitely like it, however its not something I'm adding to my personal playlists or listening to on repeat so that's a 3/5 for me.

Again, not really my thing but I appreciate how good her voice is, I enjoyed a few songs. “Lovesong” a favourite.

Ok Adele is a great singer. Obviously. But the actual music is just lame. Maybe that's intentional, I don't know, I don't care. Generic ass elevator music backing.

i try not to be overly negative when it comes to modern pop music because i do know it's a 'it's not you, it's me' sort of thing. i just find a lot of it to be toothless and not fun to listen to. this album kinda falls into that category for me. adele has a great voice! do not get it twisted. i'm not really a fan of the songs here. maybe it's partially because of how pervasive a lot of these songs were when this album came out, maybe it's because the music just isn't for me, maybe it's because i do genuinely find the songwriting to be lackluster. the arrangement and production is fine enough. but ultimately, i think this one isn't for me.

Something I was well aware of but never listened to as an album. So a classic but new at the same time. Some beautiful songs on here. I can’t help but think that on a list of greatest albums of all time this is only an average 3 stars though

El mejor de Adele...?

There really should be a zero option

Having spent most of the 2010’s in an iron box buried deep underground, I had zero idea who Adele was. I was, however, quite wary of what seemed to be yet another mainstream pop idol designed by comittee to appeal to sad teenagers. I’m glad, however, that I gave Adele a chance. I was right, but I was also wrong. I was wrong because she’s clearly a very talented young woman with an amazing voice and a real soul / blues sensibility. « Rolling in the Deep » and « Rumor Has It » are great songs that convey a lot of emotion. I also liked « Lovesong ». The fact that she forced Spotify to play her songs in order and not as a random mix also speaks hugely in her favor in my opinion... The rest of the album, however, is a mixed bag. The production is far too polished to my taste, and I still think this is music specifically designed to please everybody. It’s smooth and comfy - it’s the musical equivalent of a safe space. I have nothing against safe spaces, but I want music to shock me out of my comfort zone, and this album certainly does not do that. Adele won’t become my favorite singer anytime soon, but with better production and a little bit of risk-taking, she may yet do some interesting things.

On the last Adele album offered up by the generator (25), I said find it really hard to have an opinion about Adele's music beyond her incredible voice. This album I liked a little more than the last, helped a lot by it including Rolling In The Deep which is a such a belt out loud sing-along it's hard not to love it. I still prefer the upbeat version of Adele though and start to struggle when everything gets a bit schmaltzy. While saying that I enjoyed this album more, I don't think I liked it one whole star more, so this would be a 3.5... but I'm still plumping for 3 given the lack of half stars. I am reserving the right to re-evaluate this in future though (a think a few more listens has the possibility to change my score). 3/5

Pretty boring, but quality music and singing.

soulful, sophisticated

she has a great voice, but a bit too slick for me

its ok. Its not terrible and its not amazing. Some familiar songs, and the album was pleasant to listen to, but I am not rushing to listen to it again. thats a pretty bad cover of lovesong. 3 stars

Didn’t dislike

It was less dull than I thought it would be. I probably won’t listen to it in its entirety but I did enjoy it. So many classics from this album

Kaikki Adelen hitit yhdellä levyllä (tai ainakin melkein). Muistoissani kuulosti eeppisemmältä. Liekö ikä vai kuultu pop-musiikki kuluttanut.

Adele has a great voice. Unfortunately, most of her songs are incredibly boring. 3 stars for her voice alone though.

Amazing vocals but the problem with reviewing an album like this is the hits have been played to death and the over-saturation makes it really unenjoyable to listen to. If I could hear this album fresh without hearing any of it before I would probably love this but it just doesn’t hold my interest at this point. Lovesong was nice, I hadn’t heard that before

As far as pop albums go this one is really good. That would earn it 3.5 states but that’s not an option.

A lot of up and down on this one. The good songs are really good, but there are quite a few duds as well. Starts out strong with Rolling In The Deep. Rumour Has It is also pretty fun. Set Fire To The Rain is incredible. Lovesong has some wonderful music. Someone Like You ends on a nice bittersweet note. Best song: Set Fire To The Rain

Any album that sells this many copies a) justifies its place on this list and, dare I say, b) probably has something going for it. I think the more rocky/bluesy style of Rolling In The Deep and Rumour Has It is a success, and it’s easy to see why the stripped-back pathos of Someone Like You has become a classic. But between these two ends of the spectrum there are plenty of tracks on 21 that neither provide vengeful drama nor tug on the heartstrings - they’re just pretty bland.

She has a great voice, but the song writing is not interesting at all

Some great songs but also a lot of this is pretty boring

Good for what it is.

An amazing voice. Too slow, at times.

For what this is, it’s well done. Adele’s vocal range shines on this record and this is her standout album far and away. I listened to 25 when it was previously served up by this generator and after listening was surprised anything beyond 21 was included. This release absolutely deserves to be included, Adele showcases some personality and avoids delving too deep into adult contemporary sound that plagued 25. This is a good pop album, it just isn’t for me and that’s fine but I appreciate she’s good at what she’s doing here. 3 stars

set fire to the rain es una cancion magnifica, las demas decentes

Not my bag, but cannot deny her immense talent and genuine soulful music. Wow.

My heart sank a little on seeing a pop record, but I don't know - I think I'm going to enjoy it. Noticed that she was working with different producers before I read it on the notes. There are some really different production ideas going on here and I find it a little bit jarring. It doesn't hang together as a single bit of work. More like a best of I guess. Some tracks hit much harder for me. Drums on don't you remember are ass. They feel like westlife 90s drums and I think this songwriting and this artist deserve better. The vocals are SO high in the mix. I tried turning it up to hear some interesting bass playing and the vocals were getting painfully loud. I could personally do with fewer vocal flourishes - I guess I'm not the target market in this respect. The little Richard high notes for e.g. Just lose some of the sincerity for me a lot of the time. Saying all this there is some high high quality songwriting here. I can also think of ways of delivering it that I would find more objectionable. I can absolutely understand why it's as popular as it is, I just find that it's not what I'm looking for from a great album due to the pop production and lack of consistent earnest messaging due to that (for me) Set fire to the rain is a good enough song to be enjoyable despite the very vocal heavy mix. I'll be waiting slaps. Simpler songwriting and less flashy than almost anything on the record, but the whole thing works so well. Holy f*, I've just read that most of these tracks were preferred to a Rick Rubin produced set of sessions! Goes to show how different tastes are. I think I'd actually be really interested in the Rubin record. (I'll be waiting is a Rubin one.)

Paska äänitys, eikä tuon emännän ääni ole tässä ihan parhaimmillaan.

Kai tää on taitava laulaja mut ei kyl nyt oikeen lähde naisten itkuvirret ja voimabiisit

⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hyvin laulaa, mutta ei ollut mitään ihmeellistä.

I really really understand why people like it and she is amazing but it still leaves me cold.

um 3.5 sólido. gosto da voz e de algumas das músicas, outros acho muito chatas

Not super interesting all the way through but man are there some absolute bangers in there.

Tiene algunos buenos temas soul al margen de los evidentes hits Rolling in the deep y Set fire to the rain. Sin embargo creo que peca de ser demasiado largo y regodearse en la duración y tono de ciertos temas. Por momentos se vuelve muy cuesta arriba, casi tanto como escuchar a Celine Dion. Claramente no soy el publico objetivo.

Great artist with some great songs. Amazing talent but just not my jam.

Pop hit Can appreciate the vocals definitely got some cord on her.

Всі «сила» альбому зосереджена в його хітах - Rolling In The Deep, Set Fire to the Rain та Someone Like You.

A decent sounding album with some very good songs on it. Didn't like it as much as I thought I was going to to be honest.

Potential hot take: 19 is Adele's best and each subsequent album is worse than the one that came before. 21 isn't bad, it's just kind of boring and one-note. Once you've heard the first twelve seconds of a song, you've heard everywhere it's going to go, and then it continues for five minutes. And radio overplaying it to death hasn't helped.

No denying her vocal talent. However, I find it hard to get into the album.

Fantastisk vokalist, men mangler noe i låtskrivingen.

I mean, there are always people like this right? Pop/ballad singers from somewhere that is still nominally governed by the British monarchy that sell 80 billion records and are forgotten after a generation because they made bland generic inoffensive music that provoked zero thought in its listeners whatsoever. Judging by how many Helen Reddy and Anne Murray albums I come across while crate digging, they must have sold Adele-like numbers of records but have been all but forgotten because there’s not really anything to remember them by. Adele is the version of that phenomenon that ruled the earth in the 2010’s but she’s just one in a never ending line of creators of vaguely pleasant schlock. This isn’t art, it’s product. Now, fairly blatantly misogynistic rock snobbery aside, this is excellent product. This didn’t sell 80 billion copies by accident. It’s like a greatest hits album for almost the entire first side and even the songs that weren’t hits are generally catchy and always well sung. If this generation was going to have a Helen Reddy/Anne Murray, it could have done a lot worse.

Starts well, gets fairly samey

Va redd for at da skulle bare vær ballada, men gikk overraskande greit

not for me dawg

Pretty good. I listened multiple times and it got better every time. Still a three and I don’t see myself listening to it again

While the music doesn't blow me away, her voice is pretty damn awesome. Production values are through the roof and song structures are top notch, if somewhat predictable (ie. it's not exploratory progressive music). This is as good as modern pop music gets in my opinion, that said it is not something I listen to very often. For similar cravings I'll rather spin some soul or funky r'n'b, previously I have also listened to Duffy and Amy Winehouse for similar kicks.

Emotional, Full, Some lovely songs Overall little impact

Some surprisingly slamming songs on this album. Couple of cheeky, but guaranteed hit covers. Voice of a generation. Still doesn't mean I wanna listen on the reg, but really glad I did today.

I'll admit - I kinda groaned when I saw this. But I listened, and enjoyed my time with her. Not a bad experience.

Super solid album, not mad at it at all

“Rumor Has It” is a great song.

Adele has a great voice, and there are a couple of standout songs on here, but most of the others are middling.

'Rolling in the Deep' is a great, great song. I don't even care she's British doing a bit of Southern put-on in her voice. What I can't withstand is the lounge act treatment of 'Lovesong'. How could you Rick Rubin? This album would be better cutting 'Lovesong' and 'One and Only'. Her voice is great but I'm not sure making your best album at 21yo is great. Some years and experience can enhance great talent.

pretty neutral. i like the album, but not my favorite or least favorite. also very possible i'm swayed by Brett.

i listened to most of the song on glee. Though it must have been HUGE when it came out

What a great voice. Some songs hit real nice and some are sappy sapperstein.

Never listened to this album before. It's good! Who knew. He Won't Go sounds like a track someone wrote for Alicia Keys that Adele ended up with.

Quite shouty, innit? Fine for what it is I guess.

I mean she has a great voice, and the album sounds great; but the album just isn't meant for me.

I don't remember there being a Cure cover on this. This shit had a chokehold on retail radio stations for over a decade. It might as well be the official soundtrack of Target stores. Favorite track: Set Fire to the Rain

Peak radio friendly music. It’s not terrible

it's better than 25 but an adele song has never moved me and the lovesong cover was definitely not needed

Splendid to return to the chart toppers of the high school years. Had completely forgotten pounding desks shouting RUMOR HAS IT waiting to start religion class. Adele is one of our best singers working. However I wish she had better judgment in picking what's going on around her voice.

Some decent songs, she can sing. But I find her depressing af

Adele’s vocal ability and talent is extraordinary. For the most part, I enjoy this album. I remember the appraise and critical acclaim when it came out. Rolling in the Deep is an amazing album opener. I really love Rumour Has It and Set Fire to the Rain. They’re upbeat and fun despite being about a relationship breaking down. Someone Like You is iconic in British pop culture. I’ll Be Waiting was good track. I enjoyed Adele’s different approach to Lovesong, a classic from The Cure. However, I didn’t care for the other songs on the album. They felt desperately sad and seemingly endless and slightly repetitive. My personal preference is much more towards songs that are upbeat. I don’t mind a few love songs in one go but this album had too many for my liking. All in all, I can see why this album is here. It’s a classic.

She sings ennit

I thought I would like it more

There are some exceptional songs on here surrounding by quite a lot of MOR dross It’s a shame as Someone Like You, Rolling In The Deep and Set Fire To The Rain are genuinely great Call it a charitable 3

linda voz, músicas iconicas, produção babadeira, mas como a maioria são baladas eu acho meio meh..... mas adele você é uma lenda!!!!

The lady has pipes! She goes for it. I appreciate that. This is an album full of torch songs designed to feature Adel, and the instrumentation is broad brush and not too complex. The songs are mostly good, a few are really engaging. But this is not an album I’m gonna listen to straight through again. It’s a 3.

Shit… lol. Got some classics that i remember my mom playing in the car with the radio on on the rides home from school. Not great but 3 does it justice

Adele is fine. I knew most of the songs on here because they're catchy and played all the time in the car, so it was nice to sing along to. Nothing life changing in here though.

Fav: He Won't Go Notes: Some really good songs. Cure cover is unnecessary.

A little Adele goes a long way for me. So, for our second Adele offering on this list it's kinda played out for me. Still has a great voice, of course, and an album like this from a 21 year old counts for something. It's definitely well produced, and her voice shines through. I haven't felt the break up vibes in a LONG time, but I imagine this one has been spun through a lot of heartbreak.

Great singer and some great songs, but not something I want to listen to regularly.

Started and ended with a bang, but sort of lost it's way in the middle. She's a wonderful vocalist, but I think she spent too much time on this album showing that off, and not enough time picking the right songs for her. It was sort of all over the place. I'm still not a huge fan of Adele, but there's definitely some songs on this album that have relisten value.

The “bookends” to this album are incredible. Unfortunately the middle of the album kind of felt a little underwhelming, especially when comparing to her other album after this.

It's got a lot of good ones and I like her but I'm not feeling it 100%

Much better than her other one of this list, not my genre tho Will I listen to again: 17%

Another one not right up my alley but happy to have heard the whole thing, solid album!

Copied Amy Whinehouse’s homework but left out the hardcore drugs and addiction parts. Leans more into pop but man do the piano and singing songs all sound the same. Its no wonder the songs with more than one instrument are the popular ones that are big hits. Not my type of music but I can appreciate it and it’s not shit. 6/10

Kunne vært bra, men ble masete. For overprodusert?

Genre bending, hit after hit. Lots of heartbreak juxtaposed with exceptional vocal heroics.

The hits are great and she has an incredible voice but if I’m being honest I don’t need to come back for the in betweeners

Overplayed for a reason, I'll be waiting is a tune

it’s a generally good album but nothing about adele’s music has ever been really interesting to me

I put off listening to this one for awhile. Because it's Adele, and it's 21, and it dominated everything when it was released. But finally I decided now would be a good time to listen to it, and honestly, I've probably only heard three songs off of it. Going in, I expected to hate this. Through Rolling in the Deep, all I could think about was how overplayed this sounded. Then Rumor Has It kicks in and frankly, that's a great song. But as we go along through this album, it becomes apparent what this album lacks - any sort of rough edge. It's overproduced to a degree of Spinal Tap. It's too clean. Too perfect. It begs for any sort of feeling, soul, or rough edge. A Janis voice crack. A guitar just a little late or early. Something that says that we're feeling this with you. It becomes very present on Lovesong. A Cure cover that should be emotional and haunting. It's just....technical. And boring. It's not a bad album. Definitely doesn't deserve a crazy low rating. But I gave Beth Orton a 3 and I'd rather listen to that. On the other hand, I gave Hole a 2 and this is better than Celebrity Skin. It's a low three. An asterisked three. At least it's not the Eagles.

iconic album, never listened to it in its entirety, just every song separately adele is the go to singer for when you’re feeling sad the album starts perfect, then goes a bit downhill to then finish off great

Heard so many of these songs - she's iconic, no doubt, but not my style

A few good bangers but felt a lot of repetition in non-single tracks. Couldn’t binge listen.

She sings well

I liked this more than I thought I would, but not enough for me to actually be impressed by it.

not my typical genre at all, but there were some bangersss 3,5/5 🌬️

Buen debut de una gran voz que no me llena.

You know, I’ve always liked Adele. I think the machine of radio-first-trickle-down taste curated music broadcasted through the head units of 2010 Holden Captivas via B105 and 106.9 did a lot of damage to my cognitive development during the “let’s do it tonight babeeey” recession-pop years, but Adele was not one such villain in that. What’s not to like? Adele’s a phenomenal singer, a songwriter who would have done well at any point from the 70s to the year of release of this album. The UK lost its figurehead female voice with Amy, and Adele did a job better than anyone else could have to fill those shoes. Admittedly, she did so better in prior (especially) and subsequent albums. The big 3 hits that arose out of them all stand up today, and we’ll all look back at them reasonably fondly in decades to come. Besides that, the Lovesong cover feels like medium quality filler. I listen to newer artists like Celeste and hear Adele’s warm timbre come through, and I appreciate it. I honestly believe her songwriting to come from a sincere place, albeit with the help of some industry heavyweights here and there (somehow Rick Rubin is here??). I mean for crying out loud, the breakup was happening mid-production. Anyway, I appreciate this album for what it is, though it’s my second-least favourite from her. It’s been long enough to somewhat detach it from ceiling-speaker repertoire irritation. Favourite: He Won’t Go Least favourite: Lovesong (this is the correct choice) 7/10

Look, I understand how talented Adele is. She genuinely has a once in a generation voice and I won't ever deny it. But it's just not for me. I fucking hate singer-songwriter music that's just a singer and a piano. Pianos suck. The lazy songwriting on Don't You Remember was pretty fucking lazy and bland. Outside of that, every song - apart from the hits that we were forced to listen to near-daily on the radio for 3 years straight - was fairly bland and the album is obviously themed around heartbreak. It definitely gets jading after a while. This review may sound critical, but I genuinely didn't hate this as much as I should have. It did get lazy, and a bit boring at times; but it definitely didn't feel like 48 minutes, it felt shorter. I could tolerate this and I didn't even mind listening to it in the background. I can't give this lower than a 3, despite the fact I will never come back to this album again in my life. Adele is just too talented and her voice is too fantastic to deserve anything less, despite that everything in my core is supposed to hate this. Plus, at least it's something different. Not getting a 90's British rock album is always a blessing.

Лучшая песня - Rolling in the Deep.

Still kinda iconic

3.2 Some bangers, some big ballards, some a bit boring. Not as full an album as her earlier releases

Three or four songs on this album have been sooooo over-played that I'm still bored with them now 14 years after their release. So I focussed on the tracks that did not make radio. "Lovesong" is a nice cover.

Solid key tracks.

She can def sing! Song great songs and some I'm sick of having heard on the radio too much when they came out. Respect though, she knows Bron.

Not really something I'd listen to on my own. Not quite my vibe. That being said Adele has amazing talent and a beautiful voice. She is a great artist, just not my go to as far as what I like.

Decent album - fabulous voice 3/5

A great listen when i first got it. Maybe overdid it then. It holds up today. Especially 'Rolling in the deep' and 'Someone like you'. Great songwriting mixed with a great voice. 3 is a rating for me, but it probably deserves another star at least in a general rating.

Mega hit album, I was surprised that I still enjoy the singles after how much I've heard them. The deeper cuts here are kind of meh though. There is no denying her vocal talent though you do still need the songs to back that up. Did not know she did a Cure cover, not anywhere near as good as the original though.

Rolling in the Deep - 3/5 Rumor Has It - 3/5 Turning Tables - 4/5 Don't You Remember - 4/5 Set Fire to the Rain - 4/5 He Won't Go - 3/5 Take It All - 4/5 I'll Be Waiting - 3/5 One And Only - 4/5 Lovesong - 3/5 Someone Like You - 3/5 Average score: 3.5/5 (rounding down) i'm a little underwhelmed by the album overall, likely due to the fact that i've heard nearly half of these tracks so many tracks due to its constant play on mainstream radio. she's a talented vocalist tho, and the album was produced well

Some good stuff. But not really for me.

Somewhat generic and slick pop music. Not my cup of tea generally. But there's no denying that Adele has a fantastic voice which at least elevates it above most typical Top 40 schlock. The song Rumor Has It always brings a smile to my face because it brings up memories of my oldest son (when he was a toddler) singing the chorus as "Oma Has It," which is what he calls his German grandmother. 3/5 Album 46/1001

I do think that the hits are some of the best ones, as I feel like why they are so good is that they stood out from other pop songs at the time. Quite a lot of these are quite boring ballad-type songs though, which are great and showcase her voice really well but they just don't feel very creative or really that interesting. Obviously her singing is incredible I'd say arguably one of the best pop singers ever. Backings are great in some places and ok in others. Favourite songs: rolling in the deep, rumour has it, don't you remember, set fire to the rain, lovesong, and also some others. Overall around 6/10

An album that jumps back and forth between great tracks and tracks that do nothing for me. Rolling in the Deep. Stone cold classic. Rumor Has It? Annoying chorus. Set Fire to the Rain, fantastic. Take It All? Not a huge fan of the gospel. He Won't Go is a great R&B track though, that one surprised me. Generally, her slower ballad stuff bores me, and when she gets the shrill highs, it takes me out. Fine record with some great classic, but the deep cuts generally let it down for me.

This is a good album. I had heard some of the singles before but had never listened all the way through. I give it a 3.25/5.

Great writing and musical composition for this album. Powerful voice, she deserves the flowers she's received.

Modern classic of pop/neo-soul. Don't know if I have ever listened to the whole album. Every song is good. Not my go to genre, though.

Its not Amy Winhouse but I like these British Soul voices like Dusty Spingfield. I did not listened too much beacuse of the WE though.

It’s a nice album in general, but way too cheesy. I get it’s her vibe but still

normal. mas me trás memórias de arrumar a casa com minha irmã em 2011, aí é divertidim

Better than expected but still not really my music. Her voice on the other hand is hauntingly beautiful.

6/10 4 good pop singles sat amongst some fairly bland tracks. Lyrically, a relentless breakup album, which gets tiresome after a while

I wasn’t sure if I had heard this whole album or if I had only heard the radio singles. I have a friend who is a big Adele fan and would always play her in his car during road trips. So I have heard this whole album before but I never really sat down and listened to the album in full. Definitely a solid album. Stand outs for me were He Won’t Go and Lovesong

Like most people, I know about half these songs from constant radio play back when I was in high school ("Someone Like You" was always my favorite). Unfortunately, the non-singles don't really add anything new for me. Still, it's always nice to revisit a few great songs I haven't thought all that much about in years.

Truly magnificent .

I know how much this album is iconic already. Don't need to listen to it. Plus not a huge Adele fan

Adele is undoubtedly good, but probably more of a singles lass than an album genius.

I know some of these songs from the radio. Or the first two anyway--the first track is pretty decent, and Rumour Has it is excellent. From there it gets pretty whiney for the next two songs. But some rhythm and soul comes back in Set the Fire and He Won't Go, the in I'll Be Waiting. Take it All, unsurprisingly, more crying. I guess the surprise here was that the album wasn't all crying, and not as depressing as I assumed an Adele album would be. Someone Like You was the track one of my exes sent me a few months after dumping me. 3/5, higher than I thought I'd be rating an Adele album for sure. It's mostly just not my thing.

Man, it's been a long time. This was the zeitgeist when I was a teenager and I did listen to '21' in full fairly frequently, but it's been at least ten years. I was curious to see how it holds up. No one was making pop music that sounded like what Adele was making, and she still stands apart from her peers. That voice is still earthshaking after all this time. God damn can she sing. Some of the songs have lost their punch after almost 15 years of radio play. "Rolling in the Deep" and "Set Fire to the Rain" were on constantly back in 2011/2012. Consequently I'm drawn more to the album cuts, like "Don't You Remember", "I'll Be Waiting", and "One and Only". A legacy breakup album, but it's polished to the point of losing character. The production style means this isn't dated, but it doesn't grab me either. I was glad to revisit, but also kind of wanted to listen to '30' instead. She has room to get messy on that one. "Rumour Has It" still bangs.

Adele's voice is unique, mesmerizing, and talented. This album was a centerpiece of 2011 and 2012 for almost everyone in the Western hemisphere, myself included. But that was 14 years ago, and Adele is not standing the test of time for me. The instrumentals that surrounds her voice are SO basic and rote. Her layers of vocals on tracks like Rolling in the Deep are the most interesting "instrument". Everyone talks about her Gospel, Soul, Motown influences... but all of these genres contained so much more expression, nuance, detail in composition and arrangement, and rawness of emotion than what she's displaying on 21. The repetitive claps on Rumor Has It chorus drive me bonkers. The constant eighth-note hammering seems to be the main mechanism for emphasis on this album, which is boring as fuck. In the first track it was the piano, second track it's this clapping. Set Fire to the Rain has a 4-on-the-floor bass and snare throughout the entire song, literally doesn't vary at all between verse and chorus. Frankly every song has the most generic copy paste percussion on the planet. Piano is arpeggiated standard 4 chords over and over again. I wish this album had been arranged and produced like a soul or motown album and not like a pop album. He Won't Go is ironically a song I've never heard on the radio but has a way more interesting percussion arrangement than anything I've heard so far on the album (and still very bland compared to soul/motown percussion). Still boring, because the producer won't let Adele vamp or let go of ABABCB. Waiting for You is one of my faves. Percussion is moderately interesting, piano moderately interesting, ooh there are some horns, gospel-ish chorus, a couple vocal rasps slip through the iron grip of production. A hint of how incredibly raw Adele could sound with a different producer. It's great until the absolutely brain dead section C (basically every song has a brain dead section C tbh). Does Adele feel anything at all when she sings? Three stars for her voice alone. The composition is shit. I would have preferred her to do more improvisational vocal acapella stuff.

I feared with Adele I wouldn't enjoy this, I tend to avoid her music as it gets overplayed on radio. In fairness it's a good album, production is ok, her singing is great, and the big hits are excellent songs. Lacks something I can't quite put my finger on, some of the other songs are fine, overall an easy listen

She's got a great voice. Not really my flavor of Kool aid though

Rolling in the deep. Не мое

I'm very torn on this rating, because I want to give it a 2.5, because 2 feels too low for an album that does contain a couple songs that I do see the talent and vision in and can understand why people like them. However, the album is so one-note and gets much too repetitive and a slog that it doesn't feel like a 3, as I don't feel someone that treads so much on just piano and sad vocals really should rise to 1001 albums. I think I have to settle on a 3, even though I feel it like pulls the album higher than it deserves in an average score.

What a voice! Maybe I'm mishearing, but the production feels a little rough on this album. Not awful, but I would've assumed such a lauded pop record would be crisper.

Adele’s a really good singer but her music is just fine

This album is steeped in nostalgia for me, and offers some of my go to karaoke songs. I think my newly discovered favorite from the album was "I'll Be Waiting." While the use of soul inspired musical elements made this album shine so brightly, it does leave quite a bitter taste in my mouth that a white British woman made such a name for herself off of musical techniques that originated from Black American culture (very unsurprising given how frequently this occurs in music.) I will admit she does do it incredibly well though. There is only so much belting one can take though, and after the third listen I found myself tiring of the same vocal styles over and over. The production dimmed the band behind her distinct voice -- this clearly lets Adele's effortless range of notes stand out among the music. This album is better enjoyed over headphones from my own experiences. I think one thing that I appreciate from this album is the narrative element. The themes of the songs are cohesive, and the ordering of them on the album creates a satisfying emotional journey for the listener. 1. Rolling In The Deep: a classic karaoke song, probably the song that introduced me to Adele 2. Rumor Has It: another go to karaoke song, love the bass line and supporting vocals 3. Turning Tables: it seems like almost every single song on this album got radio play, and they all deserved it in their own way 4. Don't You Remember: just a bit too sappy for my liking, it's giving memorial video backing track 5. Set Fire To The Rain: hits just as hard as it did when I was a child, helps to prevent the middle of the album from getting muddled 6. He Won't Go: also didn't love this one at first and had to give it a re-listen after seeing how many people disagree with me. My opinion doesn't feel super changed after re listening as a solo song. Something about the piano build into each chorus and the staccato dictation in the music just lands weird for me. 7. Take It All: by this point in the album I had started to get a bit bored of the belting... thank god I had to wait it out (OKAY so I gave this a re listen on its own, and I think the songwriting in this one hits very close to home) 8. I'll Be Waiting: my favorite of them, really scratches the Amy Winehouse way in an unique sound 9. One And Only: the last like minute and a half of this track is an incredible build 10. Lovesong: I wanted to like this one so badly, but it's just a bit too boring especially given how much I love The Cure's version, quite disappointing especially given how good the second half of this album is 11. Someone Like You: being eight years old, staring out the window as my parents drive, and dramatically following a raindrop with your finger, need I say more? Would absolutely play on my own time in its entirety

Rolling in the deep is a classic. Rumour Has It is actually really enjoyable. Turning Tables is a good song but not my cup of tea. Same thing with Don't You Remember. Set Fure To The Rain is a classic. He Won't Go is really good. Take It All is good. I'll be waiting is decent. One And Only isn't for me. I like Lovesong. Someone like you is a classic, but it isn't for me.

Some absolute banging singles but the slower ballads didn't grab me. Very impressive vocalist but the songwriting is pretty generic.

3.5/5. Surprisingly good, better than what I remeber. Unfortunately it's been overplayed so that takes away some of the charm for me.

She's a phenomenal singer and this album shows that off quite well. But the actual backing tracks and instrumentation were a little bland to me. I can see why a lot of people like this album but I don't think I'll be coming back to it. Rolling in the Deep and Someone Like You are both great though.

Strong voice plus the smash-hits "Rolling in the Deep", "Set Fire to the Rain" and "Someone Like You" plus the "The Cure"-cover "Lovesong" sum up to a pretty solid and catchy pop-album. But still not exactly my jam. 3,5

she is missing something here where songs are nice but when it comes to her vocal performance, there is more to be desired.

The non-singles didn't impress me, except I'll Be Waiting, I thought that was pretty good. The singles are mostly alright. I didn't realize Turning Tables was a single until I looked at the Wikipedia page for the album; probably my least favorite of the singles, maybe tied with Someone like You.

I had written a review where I compared the rise of Adele with the RnB/Soul shaped hole that Amy Winehouse and Duffy had left after their big breaks and how Rolling in The Deep was such a catalyst of everything else to come, this album was a savior for the music industry, however as a whole it leaves a lot to be desired, but if you want heartbreak ballads you are in the right place with Adele. Just wish there was a bit more of diversity in the project. 5/10

adele is a great singer. it's too bad this album only has like 3 songs on it. would love to hear her do literally anything different.

While the other reviews you're going to read about this record above and below this one are still going to be correct, I still contend the average ear has been overexposed to the cultural whirlwind that Adele was and perhaps to some, is still. Meant as no more a slight to either than their seemingly waned cultural irreverence; to the world Adele is as if that Susan Boyle audition leapt off the screen and lived the life it was meant to.

6/10 TPAB for white wine moms

3.5, some classics on here but it dragged.

Some good tracks, digestible by anyone

Solid album. I personally think 30 is a better album.

Turns out I've heard almost all of these songs and tbh the kinda hit from a sentimental standpoint. When this record came out, you couldn't sneeze without hitting a song from this record.

Her voice is outstanding. The hits are better than I remember. Would I listen to this album on my own? Probably not. Will I put a few bangers on playlists? Yes.

I can’t tell if I like this because it’s good or if I just recognize every song on here and I like listening to music I’m familiar with. I think Adele is great and can’t deny her talent.

Good singer. Alright album

Bland songs. Nice voice. This didn't move the needle for me.

A humble and funny artist with a unique soulful voice but as an album... You couldn't give it less than a 3, you couldn't give it more than a 3 - so I guess it's a 3?

Adèle. Not a huge fan but I can listen to her in small doses.

theres a lot to like, but not a lot to love

Much better production on this album than on the last Adele album. Still not big fan of her songs though. I heard actual instruments this time so, that was a big plus. If her albums are improving with release, maybe some of her songs will be on my playlist the next time I get an Adele album randomly assigned to me.

blend. some hit songs be hitting tho.

Put this on, grab your wine, chocolates and Bridget Jones paperback, and let the cats wonder why you're crying again

This is the album I first heard Adele, or should I say paid attention. What a talent.

Really feels like white bread to me. Sure you can eat it by itself, but in its current state it just kind of feels bland. If I had absolutely NOTHING else to eat it would work, but I wouldn’t be too happy with it.

The bops hit. Her voice is incredible. But the rest of the tracks are so boring.

Rolling in the Deep is one of *the* great pop songs. Otherwise, so-so

#503. Solid. 3/5: acceptable

50% Killer, 50% filler.

"Rolling in the Deep" and "Rumour Has It" go hard as fuck and then it becomes nothing but intolerable sad-girl-with-a-piano music. The cover of "Lovesong" is OK.

I guess if I want to sit in my room and drown in melancholy thoughts all day, then this album will fit the bill. The songs are beautiful, but they’re all about one thing. I like albums that play on a wide variety of emotions. This is too much blubbering.

The singles on this Album are fantastic. The rest are a collection of incredibly boring ballads.

Three fantastic songs, the rest is fine. It’s not really my taste to be honest, but I can appreciate the beauty and emotion of her voice

pretty dull sometimes but i like it more than i don’t

Did we really need multiple Adele albums? Good voice, but samey music

Incradible voice, incredible production, but there's just too much ballads and they don't always have a lot to offer. At least for me.

Lovely album. I'm not a fan, but the production and the voice are objectively beautiful. It made quite the impression back then!

Piano/vocal oriented contemporary adult music is really not my kind of music, but I must admit this one has something special. I remember a few of these songs playing over and over on the radio, and singer covering them in every TV shows. It's for sure a huge phenomenon of the last decade.

Good album...not my daily vibe

I liked her voice on some songs. Overall, this is not alluring enough to revisit.

For those who like Adele I can see why they think this is a great album. I’m not one of those; for some reason I never liked Adele. Of the songs on this album, the ones that were radio hits are not as good as some of the others in my opinion. Anyway, it was ok. Three stars.

Adele seemed much older than 21 to me at the time this came out, even though I was well aware of her age (which is indeed the same as my age). I didn't like 'Chasing Pavements', the single from her earlier album (too Norah Jonesy), but this is a big upgrade for me -- a quintessential "pop" album. Pretty catchy songs, solid voice, heavy media saturation. Highlights: 'Rumour Has It', 'Set Fire to the Rain', 'He Won't Go', 'Someone Like You' Lowlights: 'Take It All' (bit of a snoozefest), 'Lovesong' (hard to win me over with a cover, especially a way-smooth-jazzier one)

She can sing. Needs more instruments to hold my attention though.

Great voice. But I don't really like her music. It's ok, the singing is great, but the songs are nothing special.

Well well well it's Adele. Nothing unexpected here.

Impressive voice and inspired songs but I think it is not my favorite style of music.

Pleasant enough. She has a fine voice. Some of the arrangements are very predictable, almost formulaic. It lacks emotion at times. She hits all the right notes but I can't help thinking someone in the studio needed to say, "one more time with feeling". I can understand how it became very popular. Not really my thing. 3/5.

Listened Before? N I feel like I've heard most of the songs here before - not because I have, but because her song structures are so similar over the years. She has a great voice. If her hits weren't so overplayed I'd probably be infatuated - but alas they are and I'm over it. Added to Library? N Songs added to playlist: Someone Like You

Incredible voice and touching lyrics but not a heartbroken young lady so there’s only so much I can relate with. Would love to hear her live some day.

Billions of Spotify plays can't be wrong! Slightly more exciting than the standard adult-contempo fare.

I don’t think I can rate it any higher by virtue of being alive in the UK in the 2010s and hearing it everywhere. BUT the fact that she’s only 21 here and had already put herself up there with the greatest vocalists of all time is crazy. Big up my West Norwood kween, much imitated and never surpassed. Favourite Tracks: Someone Like You, He Won’t Leave Least Fav Track: Set Fire to the Rain

Kinda fun but overplayed

Sounds good but not my genre

She has great range and there are several charting hits here. To me, a lot of her music sounds the same. I can’t deny she has global appeal to a large group of people and she made quite a splash at such a young age. Not a preferred sound for me but I appreciate the talent. 3.5/5

Adele has a great voice and there are some bangers on here, but the album didn’t feel that exciting to me.

I was a little surprised to see Adele make the list. Not for lack of talent of course, but because I just didn't know that she had a back catalogue of good songs. Being ignorant of her outside of her hits, I was honestly kind of assuming that other than, say, "Rolling in the Deep" and "Set Fire to the Rain," that the rest of the album would be kind of run of the mill pop. And in some ways, it was. But I think her talent alone lifts it above just your average vocal pop record. She has a versatile voice, one that could tackle pop ballads, jazz, and probably even the blues. So this kind of voice belting out these (mostly) pop ballads is a treat in and of itself. It actually almost feels a little too normal. She's been around for long enough at this point that we've all gotten over her immense talent and probably take it as normal now. However, her talent, massive though it obviously is, does not change this from being a pretty standard pop record. I love that it uses exclusively arrangements of real instruments, played by real people in a studio. That's one of my favorite things about this record, honestly. Too many pop records rely on other means of instrumentation. Not this one. Adele's voice wouldn't work well outside of this context, so it makes sense. But the songs still follow a similar structure and pattern to other pop songs of their day. There isn't much here to sink your teeth into here. But this is a very good example of what this is - a vocal pop record. It does a great job of showing off the center of attention. But it didn't quite do it for me. Three stars. Standout Tracks: Rolling in the Deep, Rumour Has It, Set Fire to the Rain, I'll Be Waiting

++: Rolling in the Deep, Rumour Has It, I'll Be Waiting +: Set Fire to the Rain, He Won't Go, One and Only, Lovesong +-: Turning Tables, Don't You Remember, Take It All, Someone like You 6,4/10

Didn't like this as much as the other Adele we got, but still think she's cool. 3

Well produced, good voice, tasteful arrangements, southern soul influenced. It starts fairly strong and there are moments in some of the songs but it’s ultimately relative bland, inoffensive dinner party piano ballads.

Great lyrics and space in the songs. Powerful story behind take it all

I'll be waiting was prob the best one. Overall easy to listen to but somewhat cringe/too meemy. Eh, pop is fine i guess. At least she can sing.

p i p e s one and only rumor has it rolling in the deep set fire to the rain 3(.5)?/5

Adele has a great voice. The songs are beautifully arranged. When I heard Adele for the first time, her voice and music seemed familiar from the old days. It sounds like music from the late 50s or early 60s, the kind that was probably never played and only exists in my memory. But this pleasant pop is like popcorn, just too sweet at some point. It lacks the intellectual hook that makes me want to listen to the album again and again. 3/5

I was going to deride this as joyless, but, in this exercises ongoing efforts to make me a better person, I’m only going to say that I don’t find my joy in Adele’s music. I think my dislike is mostly for this sort of voice-forward anthemic style of ballideering that seems empty if one isn’t in for wallowing or wants some instrumental joy stimulus beyond ‘very competent’. Big voice, but I don’t feel it. While that’s maybe on me, it’s a three

Adele is Adele

6/10 The amount of hits on one album is impressive, but it does get stale quickly. Highlights: Set Fire to the Rain Rolling in the Deep Rumour has It Lovesong (The original is better though)

Definitely a 3* for the cultural impact of the album. She is one of the most iconic artists of her generation. Because of that however, I expected more. Beautiful voice and the torch songs shine brightly but the rest of the album feels like it needs to pick up the pace because there is pace missiny

Definitely her best from a song standpoint, and even so. Obviously her voice has a lot of power, but she employs the same vocal tricks over and over, and it gets wearing.

Adele is clearly very skilled, but it's just not my sort of thing. The singles are nice enough, the album tracks are okay and the cover of The Cure just makes me want to listen to The Cure.

The 4 hits are better than I remember. Set Fire to the Rain is pretty great as far as pop songs go. Most of the other songs didn’t interest me at all, but she has a powerful voice

Turns out there’s only so much maudlin I can take.

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Still, Adele's voice grates on my nerves after a few tunes. But the songwriting is pretty decent.

Didn't basically every single off this get released as a single? It's alright, one for the mums. Low 3

Some bangers with some filler

Fav song: Lovesong It's ok. The songs are well written and very well performed but I can't help but feel like it's playing it a bit safe with the production and arrangements - very basic ballads with little else to hook into your brain. Still, love that the Cure cover.

Adele uses strong vocals to describe love and strength in her album 21. It is a good album but not life changing for me unfortunately

Lots of huge songs on here

Adele's voice is amazing and this is one of her better albums for sure. For me being a non-pop fan, I did enjoy this listen and Someone Like You is an absolute classic. Might be the highest rating that a modern pop album receives on this journey 6/10

Never listened to an Adele album, although there were obviously songs on it that I had heard before. And she’s clearly got a fine voice and the music is technically very sound. Possibly too technical. I’m sure this is a hit with any algorithms it encounters and I can see why so many people bought it. But it left me a little cold, despite the voice. Undoubtedly played at weddings. Maybe that’s what leaves me cold. It’s just too engineered to hit that demographic. And I’m sure chat gpt likes it as well. I might listen again. But not regularly.

Overexposed... and yet somehow ten years old and a classic. This will be the Enya of our generation, and I mean that specifically because it was a CD that was purchased by legions of moms. A starbucks CD released in a post starbuck CD world.

Girl can seriously freaking sing. The hits are very well written songs and some of the album cuts are pretty good too. The Cure cover was a fun surprise.

This was alright. Can't believe there are so many hits on this album, but those were really the only songs that did anything for me. Probably not one I will come back to.

Her voice is undeniably amazing. It's also really impressive to come out with an album like this at such a young age. With that said, this kind of music just isn't for me.

The thing is, Adele has a beautiful voice and a lot of the songs were deservedly big hits. It’s just a shame that this feels a bit toothless. It’s well produced but it feels like a very standard pop album

Gear: Abyss DIANA MR Artwork: 📸⬛⬜ Production: 😑🙂👌 Music: 🎤💔✨🎶🍷🧼 Rating: 🎤🎤🎤/5

Like the film Titanic this is not the best album ever made but sold an awful lot of copies. Why? Probably because it hits that sweet spot of appealing to the masses perfectly: brilliant singer, universal themes in the lyrics and decent enough tunes which use inoffensive sound palettes. The Rick Rubin produced songs sound the best and I’m surprised that Adele doesn’t seemed to have worked with him again. He strips away some unnecessary layers to create a much cleaner sound. Also, to the person who took this album off the list and left Steve Earle on: whilst 21 isn’t Dark Side of The Moon or Abbey road I don’t hear Year 7 bands playing ‘Little Rock n Roller’ or hear ‘Guitar Town’ being sung at a karaoke or open mic night whereas ‘Rolling In The Deep’ and ‘Someone Like You’ are absolute staples of pop culture. Maybe deep in the heart of Americana Steve Earle is their Adele but not in my world so surely 21 still deserves a place on the list? Got to admit that Someone Like You hits a lot harder when you’re listening at home alone but I didn’t cry at the end of Titanic either…

Not keen on the ballady stuff, but the upbeat tracks like rolling in the deep are exceptionally polished pop songs. I’d always assumed Rumour Has It was a cover of a 60’s Motown single!

As Verity's favourite artist, I have listened to this album multiple times. First half is much stronger than the second, some good times and there is no doubting the vocal talent.

Adele is SO uneven. When she hits, she really hits (Rolling in the Deep, Set Fire to the Rain) but when she misses and dials up the Celine-level emotion, it just tips very quickly into cringe-town (Turning Tables and the gag-fest of Don't You Remember.)

mainstream

Great voice, great lyrics. Definitely a good album...it's just sad and heartbreaky sooo 3 stars from me because I can't do 3.5

Shes an amazing singer and the album is produced to perfection, but none of the songs are particularly interesting. I liked Lovesong the most, but I think there are many more singer songwriter albums on this list. I could compare it to Amy’s album but won’t.

Albumi #114, 19.11.2024 Adelen kakkosalbumi jatkaa samoilla linjoilla debyyttinsä kanssa. Albumi ilmestyi vuonna 2011.

I kind of always discounted Adele because of all the hype surrounding her, while still knowing she was an impressive vocalist. This is the first time I have listened to one of her albums, and it was quite enjoyable. I usually avoid "the new hotness that everyone is talking about" due to my (possibly misconceived) notion that what's popular is generic and created to be palatable to the masses, and therefore a bit watered down and vague. This album, to me, really doesn't make me change my mind about that type of music, but I really did have fun listening to this album. 3.5 stars

this had some great songs, just some nice bangers

Apart from the popular songs, nothing really that interesting.

Idc that this is generic pop, she has something special. Her voice is so beautiful, and the songs that hit, hit. Some songs were unfortunately pretty boring, it was really all or nothing for me lmfao. Still, ily Adele. Fav Songs: Rolling in the Deep, Set Fire to the Rain, Lovesong

Great voice… ok album.

Some good tunes, bit slow for me at times

I feel like one ballad per album is enough, this one has like five of them. There's a couple great, if not overplayed songs and obviously her voice is powerful, but the slow, methodical pace of the album makes it kind of exhausting

wasn’t too big of a fan but amazing voice

Almost none of these songs are small. The production in amongst all of them is huge - I would actually be very interested in some versions with just voice and guitar, looks the penultimate Hiding My Heart. Grandiose as it is, it does still feel personal and real. Adele does have an amazing voice for sure, and this album was impactful and popular enough to include in this list.

Ok, so Adele is a good singer, but I have a few problems with this album. 1. All of the hits are overplayed and I cannot stand them anymore 2. Rumour has it is really annoying, and the chorus makes me mad 3. I am not a fan of pop music I really didn't expect a cover of The Cure, but that was nice (check out their new album it's great). That being said this is some of the best pop music out there. High 3.

Feel free to take this review with a grain of salt, because I just really didn't feel like finishing this album. I really, on some fundamental level, do not understand anyone who thinks this album is full of emotion? It's intricately produced, and Adele can definitely belt. But that's the exact problem. It sounds like she ran these songs back until she did everything absolutely "perfectly" and then they further polished that. Her cover of Lovesong is a great example. Adele sounds like she's really focused on her technique. Make sure to expand the stomach, keep your airway aligned, squeeze so you keep the perfect amount of air flowing. Every once in a while, her voice hitches, but that sounds more like damage than emotion. Robert Smith, meanwhile, sounds like he's struggling to be vulnerable and open up to a partner. He also sounds so sad he can barely move his mouth to sing the song. He's obviously not as good of a singer as Adele, but he also sounds like he's actually feeling the song rather than feeling how well he's singing. It sounds like he recorded a call to his wife where he revealed a tiny, fragile part of his soul, and it just happened to be melodic. I'll still give it a 3, because it's certainly competent. But that's all it is. It's like a paint by numbers you give a child to learn how to do art, and they just graduated to copying it without the numbers.

some hits and some passable filler with the lens of a once-in-a-lifetime voice

A great voice that absolutely does not move me in any way. Doesn't help that being British, we get bombarded with her whenever she releases new music, I've heard every single from this album way more than I would ever want to.

She has a great voice and there’s real soul in her singing, I’m just not the biggest fan. It’s not a bad album though.

Entretanto, uma música em específico me chamou atenção: faixa 6, "He Won't Go". Genuinamente gostei dessa música e foi uma grata surpresa. Acho que um grande destaque é a voz da Adele. Voz muito imponente e inegavelmente de muita qualidade.

Decent

i can’t believe she was 21 when she released this, she should’ve been at the club 3.5

I’ve never been a huge Adele fan, but I’m surprised this album got cut from the list. There’s so many hits from this album and at the time, felt like a really nice divergence from the other pop hits (Katy Perry’s Firework, Maroon 5’s Moves Like Jagger). Favorite song: He Won’t Go Least favorite: Turning Tables Knew before? Just the hits.

Pretty good

This is what I think of when I think Adult Contemporary Radio or Lite Radio. Most of these songs were hits on this formats. Some of these songs sound like they are 20, 30, 30 years older than they are and for that she loses a star. With a voice like that and to not have your own personal sound is a shame. Most are good, some are God awful (I'm looking at you Don't You Remember). I'm glad I listened. I wouldn't seek this record out myself though

Feel pretty much the same about this as I did about the last Adele album. I can see the appeal, the songs are good, she’s talented, I didn’t mind listening, but it’s not really my thing

Decent: Best: Set fire to the rain Worst: He wont go New add: Dont you remember

What a voice... But 45+ minutes of it does start to grate a bit

Easy music to listen to.

SHE GOT PIPES DAMN Music I can recognize is good, but not something i'm going to choose to listen to on my playlists.

Ihan ok poppia, on parempaakin kuultu. Balladit ihan kivoja ja isoimmat hitit tietenkin kovia. Parhaat: Set Fire To The Rain, Rolling In The Deep, Someone Like You, Turning Tables

My mom has this CD

Started to lose me towards the end with the low energy back half but a good album regardless. 3/5

This is fine.

Decent album. Good voice and mostly mellow melodies. I'm not much of a mellow music person, so while I appreciated the music, an entire album got a bit boring after a while. But still decent music.

Rolling in the Deep and Someone Like You are decent, but I did not need to listen to over 40 minutes of break-up music today. She’s got an incredible voice; it’s a shame the music isn’t of the same quality.

Rolling in the Deep, Set Fire to the Rain, and Someone Like You = 3 big tunes. Potentially 5 stars. The rest of the album is pretty poor, more like 2 stars. Overall it's getting a 3.

There is a very obvious gulf in the quality of the singles vs the rest of the tracks. However the performances and the studio production are both consistently excellent.

I don’t mind a bit of blue-eyed soul but contemporary easy listening is not a genre I have on high rotation. Some pretty tracks nonetheless.

Quite bland and lacking variation, though I was pleasantly surprised to hear a cover of a song by The Cure on there.

Great vocals but there really isn't much interesting here, 3
