Dreadful
Sorry, but I don't want a video game going off in my ear for 45 minutes. That's what this sounds like. Not my thing.
I thought this sucked from the start and then the vocalist came in to show me it can be worse
Really not my thing. Just not my style of music. Feels like you're listening to something stuck on repeat. Even the last track STAGGER - which felt more like a song - did nothing for me. Was just getting irritated listening to it. Felt like that episode of Frasier where Daphne has the song 'flesh in burning, na-na-na-na-na-nah' stuck in her head.
Not keen on this, needs to be on a club
An hour and a half of hold music on Hell’s phone line
Yuck. I didn’t like this at all.
I cannot listen to this. Elevator music at best.
This album doesn’t belong on this list. 90s club electronica, and a decent example, but there’s nothing eye opening or groundbreaking. The genre doesn’t lend itself to being inspiring
I don't listen to much electronic stuff, so this is highly subjective: This was horrible, I couldn't bring myself to finish it. To me it sounds boring an uninspired.
Day686 - i got a headache about pearls girl and it didn’t go away
Not Good in my Ears
Why would anyone chose to listen to this... Under the influence of drugs?? Underground goth techo rave?? Brain has turned to mush?? Diet of Mountain Dew and Cheetos?? Grok is their main news feed?? Background music to a Rocket League montage with 14 views?? Trying to be edgy and ragebait people with your music views?? If you enjoy this, you need to sort your life out. Dodging the predator register like Trumps dodging the Epstein files....
Ugh
I'm not into this kind of music. Everything lasts too long with minimal variation. The loops go on and on and it's just an exhausting listen.
The music was bad but the length was what drove me into angry territory.
No thanks
Clever totle
Been a while since I got an English club record, I thought “hey I’m in a good mood, I’ll give it a blank slate fair chance!” Still stunk
Great album with its own unique sound.
Bloody hell I hated this. Absolute slog to get through. All I know of them is Born Slippy which is an all time banger of a tune so I had high hopes for this. Instead I was left utterly bored and disappointed.
The song titles are cracking me up. The repetitive nature of electronic music gives me a headache, and the songs are so long.
Meh
Am I a skins character right now?
nope
1/10
Definitely not my thing but good for them.
p790. 1996. 1 star. 90s techno. Tedious beyond belief. Hard pass.
Usually can handle stuff like this but it's was just all the same song and just went on and on. Maybe would be better on different drugz
sucked
Just a rough listen for me
This was so incredibly boring. I think even when I listened to EDM back in the day, I would not have liked this album.
Aphex Vibes but no where near as good. First track became boring as hell after 5 or so mins. second tune is babba, could sit through it so boring. bobbed a little confusing the waitress. some really nice synths and interesting effects, its just nothing seems to go anywhere. Rowla is somebody messing with a filter on the same 2 bar loop for 6 mins. Its pretty shit, could vibe to it. Time has never moved so slow as listening to pearls girl. Some interesting ideas, maybe i need to listen to it in on ecstasy or in a different setting to enjoy it.
starter ret bling bling agtigt. Hader første sang. Hader også næste sang.
My hair isn’t enough different colors to enjoy this.
Sweet Christ, how many fucking Techno albums are on this thing??? I thought to myself “Well, this one is only 8 tracks long, at least it’s short”, but fuck me if this damn thing still doesn’t clock in over the hour mark 😒. Maybe this shit slaps if your online handle is Zero Cool and the feds won’t let you touch a computer again until your 18th birthday or if you got a bunch of molly in your pocket, but if you’re a normal person it’s kinda noisy & repetitive. I bailed after 4 songs which was still 43 god damn agonizing minutes of R2D2 noises.
Not crazy about techno "music". This was just boring repetitive noise.
i knew this wouldn't be for me, i swear i tried but no it's not for me
This was not for me. This was just consistent noise and I couldn’t listen to it all
Way too long. If you're into electronic music then maybe this is something you need to listen to before you die, but the average person could definitely skip this one.
I can't imagine why you would want to sit down and listen to thjis start to finish. This is club music -- that's it. Monotonous and boring after 10 minutes.
Meh electronic music
Is this good electronica? No clue. Has electronica contributed meaningfully to misic? Hard maybe. Is there a reasonable argument that digital recording has actually damaged music over time? Yup. Is it one of the 1,001 albums that everyone should listen to? Fuck no.
Another electronica album that blends in with the crowd. I really don't know enough about the genre to tell the key differences in these albums, but I know there aren't any hooks or riffs that completely pull me in, and that hurts my enjoyment of this quite a lot. I did like the back half of Banstyle/ Sappys Curry, but not enough to add a 15 minute track to my playlist, so I'm going with Rowla instead.
Meh
uhhhhh no thanks Will I listen to again: 0%
After a while it all sounded the same to me.
1996. Late 90's club electro music. repetitive and droning
Unknown band. Not my vibe at all. I find this type of music too 'repetitive' and 'head pounding'.
this sounds like stuff i would have heard while getting my hair cut at the Visible Changes in the mall where they constantly showed fashion shows on the tv
Junge, was eine hundsbeschissene Musik.
Some substance here and there, but the rest is soulless background music
"Second Toughest In The Infants" is really tough to listen. Being honest, I wanted to finish in the middle of the album, so was hard to end it. The loop on the sound makes it harder. Was a suffer to my ears.
Very monotonous, stressful listening. I suspect it was real 'had to be there' music. There, in this instance, being a club, off your rocker.
Bleepedy blooping bloop
Ugh techno
Had to skip through. Was like listening to a Gran Turismo loading screen.
Not a fan
90s British electronica. Hard pass
I rather listen to the sound of my farts.
1/5
Sweet, a whole album of 90s racing game menu BGM. Hard to appreciate the few creative musical thoughts buried in the techno drone of the absurdly long, relentlessly repetitive electronic loop tracks.
So repetitive
Here's something I've discovered about my musical inclinations. Before we started this project, I was indifferent to rap and hip hop. Just didn't have an appreciation for it and had never really sought out artists to dive into. I can now say I have found a number of hip hop artists who I really enjoy listening to. I've gained a new perspective on the genre. I've also discovered that I have about one minute and thirty seconds worth of tolerance for electronic music. I literally couldn't care less about this album. I wish they'd stop serving so much of it up. It's excessive and mean. P.S. The album title is shit.
Bizarre, droning, weird and unappealing. Maybe better in a club where you aren't actually paying attention to the music, but then what's the point of music if not to pay attention to it? Hard pass
Appreciate the genre but far too repetitive for me. Really uninteresting use of sound. Very very far from what I enjoy listening to - my heart rate was slowly increasing throughout. But not abysmal - just not for me. I'll knock it down a point to reduce our group average, which is misleading.
Nah sorry but I can’t listen to all this. I respect it takes time to make and there are some cool musical sections but there’s no way people actually put that on just to have a listen
No. Techno from the 1980s through the mid-late 2000s will never be something you "Must listen to".
i'm simply not going to sit here and rate edm i'm sorry it's just not happening
1/10 Anyone less find listening to techno for an hour and a half boring? Favourite Song= Least Favourite Song=
Did not like the clamour.
Well blueski is the #1 track because the actually did something other than tell a computer to manufacture a sad beat. That said, didn't really need to listen to this.
The Good: Nice album art The Bad: It’s Techno… The Ugly: TLDL Seriously, I have to sit through 75 minutes of bim-bam-bim-bam repeat if necessary? I like a nice short techno tune like the next person, but an entire album, which might as well be called a double album, with tunes lasting 15 damn minutes… I have encountered my second Waterloo on this list. 1*
Ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh.
Apparently this band was a huge influence on video game composers, that’s cool! The first two tracks (the first half hour)! Is a difficult listen. Then the album just kinda exists and lingers, pearl’s girl is probably the best song but the ambient sections bore me… actually no blueski because it’s short and I guess the guitar is nice??? Still this is what I define as a 1/5
Just utterly tedious
I really learned to respect a bit more electronic music, but 😮💨
no
This is VERY 90s electronica. It took a special ear (and maybe a healthy dose of Molly) to get into this.
Kolme minuuttia kestävän, mielikuvituksettoman blues-tapailun saa kuulostamaan biisiltä, kun muut raidat kestävät vartin (tai jotain). Ei siinä, etteivätkö nämä jumputukset ajoittain kasvaisi jopa miellyttävyyteen saakka. Mutta silti: vähän kunnioitusta, kiitos. 1+
I will be the first to admit that electronic music is not my cup of tea, I can’t not imagine a world where I am in my death bed and remark well thanks be that I listened to Underworld. Why are the tracks so long and so repetitive. I don’t understand it and please don’t try to explain it is a waste of time for all parties. No one can convert me.
It’s really not music so much as computers- definitely not my thing for more than 5 minutes at a time.
There are far, far too many English electronic albums on this list. And much like 90% of all the other albums of the genre I've listened to from this generator, this album is far too long, far too repetitive and not worth mentioning, let alone listen to. I invariably find myself thinking I'm almost done listening to the album and BAM! I'm only on the 2nd song!
slog slog slog could i write poetry to this? n
75 minutes / 8 songs = 1 star
I just don’t like this kind of music with its repetitiveness
Maybe this would be great if I was high. 1.375.
Today was not a day for techno
Ibiza club music. Mind-blowingly numb. 1/5
I have a keyboard. I can make lots of percussive sounds and random noise. That makes me convinced that I could land an album on this list because goddammit I can do the same thing. Or...if I ran a hostage interrogation operation I could use this "music" to torture and break tough prisoners. They would beg me to turn it off. Or...simply put I fucking hated this album. It gets a zero from me.
What da hell
Gotta be honest. I never listened to the last two tracks. I can’t imagine I missed anything mind boggling. Or even worth the 15 minutes.
I listened intently to every trance and electronic sound...and this shit sucks. You mean to tell me there's not a better album that makes the 1001 list? I don't believe you. 1 star
Managed one track before I turned it off. Could be good in a club or in the background while working, but it's not an active-listening album for me.
I remember in the late 90s and early 2000s when it felt like people started to listening to stuff like this. I was TERRIFIED that this was the future of music. Luckily not true.
Not really my cup o’ tea. I couldn’t make it past 4 songs. The timing of the hi hat on the first and third song drove me insane.
Relentlessly dreadful and uninteresting
Ugh. I did not care for this. And I'm very tired of the electronica albums on this list. How many more can their possibly be. When Blueski came on, I was relieved, I thought wow a break from the same stuff over and over again. But I was wrong. Blueski is just the same thing over and over again for 3 minutes. A welcome break from the rest of the album. But also repetitive on it's own. And then Stagger was also whatever.
1. juanita - 1 2. banztyle - 1 3. confuzion - 0 4. pearlz girl - 0 5. air touuel - 1 6. blue zki - 7. ztagger -
Boring
Saarelaisten tekno albumi.. Jahas Jahas..
Not a fan of electronica = 1 star
Yeah I'm not into electronic or techno at all. I prefer people who physically play an instrument in their hands. Literally anybody can make some weird electronic sound on their phone or PC. Not to downplay their success or whatever, but this aint it, boss.
I don't hate *all* techno. But this sucked ass.
Gave me a headache
3 to 5 minutes of interesting music painfully stretched into 73.
Utterly boring electronica.
Nicht meine Musik
Unbearable. I hoped to find more electronic music to enjoy through this and I think my only good find was Justice. I guess I'm never going to be a fan of rhe genre, just a few outliers.
Why are the worst albums always so long? Hard pass on this one.
If you like your singing out of tune, this one's definitely for you.
very boring and redundant for me. I'm not an electronic music person so it did absolutely nothing for me. lyrics boring, melodies boring
What the hell?
Really, really bad.
😐 I hate electronica. We’ve been over this already. Boooo urns!
God awful. Absolute trash. Some of the worst sounds I’ve heard in my entire life.
This album should be titled ‘Anxiety Inducing Electronic Nonsense’ I got 14 minutes into track 1, realised the album is like 2 hours and gave up. Terrible. My first project failure. No one needs this in their life. I’m sure if I was in a field gurning my nuts off on day 5 of a life changing bender, in the middle of a field listening to this with a whole load of terrible people I’d thoroughly enjoy it. But in the car, the morning of total toddler meltdowns and stress levels beyond comprehension, this is the last thing anyone needs. 0.5
Well that was pointlessly annoying.
Ended up listening to Neutral Milk Hotel all day instead.
British electronic music, euhhh ok. Ouverture du bal en blanc. Chansons longues. Pas dérangeant, mais pas nécessairement bon.
It started with me thinking this was actually pretty good and by the time I got to Stagger I literally said outloud to no one "Oh thank God its the last track." This is really high quality techno but it has nothing to say at all. Its long and repetative and abrasive in an annoying, not interesting way. It feels like musical hedonism. Folks who want to get wasted and zone out on this, be my guest but wow do I hate this.
V boring
I don't have 10 hours to devote to techno
theres only like one good song and that doesnt even bump up the rating because its so long all of the songs are so long like the shortest track is 6 minutes
Ugh no.
1+
Not my thing
Not my style now
I am not listening to this album, I have trouble focusing on a 4 minute song let alone a 16 minute one???? Make shorter albums NOW Favorite Tracks: IDC
Dear Great Gods of the Generator, Please stop giving me electronica albums.
Early contender for least favorite album of the project. It gave me a headache. Not for me.
Snooze fest! Starting with a 13 minute song was not my cup of tea. Immediately I dreaded the rest of the album and in my opinion rightfully so. Super boring, super long, that’s all I could think about.
I started listening to this… and then stopped.
What the fuck did I just listen to?
1. Noped myself out of this pretty fast. This would just give me a headache.
I’ll call this, over an hour of me waiting for something interesting to happen. Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, I waited in vain. Maybe I would enjoy this if I was cracked up, but for now, it makes me want to tear my ears off and ask “why me?”. 1/5
Okay for background noise but not much else. Does anyone like techno/electronica? Not me. 1 point.
Listened to 20 seconds of the first track…cmon
not my thing
I did try
Don’t like 2 out of 10
Well that was tedious, not irritating or painful or disturbing, just plain boring; with nothing whatsoever to distinguish itself from the sounds heard in lifts around the world. Nothing more to say
"Banstyle" was listenable enough. That's all.
Cover art: I like the cover. 4/5. Not iconic tho.
Don't like it, sounds spooky.
Is this a joke? Why must I hear this before I die? I can load Fruity Loops or other programs onto my PC and make this for myself in 15 minutes. Mucking about with drum machines and computer orograms is not music.
2 days in a row now of stretched out awful EDM tunes. This thing was almost an hour and a half long. Ugh.
Fuck that very much.
Tried this a few times before, just not my thing
Not for me..
To long boring
1/5 way too electronic for me
meh
not my type of music
Not a fan. This is music popular in circles that do not include me.
ruim
Pish. Boring, generic patterns repeated ad infinitum.
Born Shitty
Really boring
I don’t think I enjoyed a single second.
While not entirely horrific, it was still very unpleasant.
boring - dont like
Thanks, I hate it
Nope.
