Haircut 100If you can't tell the band name from the album name something isn't right. And that kind of sums up this album.
If you can't tell the band name from the album name something isn't right. And that kind of sums up this album.
I actually enjoyed that album
ZZ Top is an interesting mix between blues/bluegrass and rock. There's some great songs on there, but also some average ones.
Ugh. All the songs sound the same. Sure he's got a way with words, and has some great songs - Hurricane comes to mind. But generally my favourite Dylan songs are ones performed by other bands - and they won't be on this album.
I'm glad they ditched the full synth-pop sound of their first album, but really only 3 songs on this album are worth listening to. A bit too much synth used still for my tastes.
I like the idea of free-style jazz more than actually listening to it. Sure the musician is phenomenal... but you have to be in the right mood to listen and you kind of need to concentrate on it as the music isn't the repetitious sound that you can just tune out and chill to. Appreciate it for what it is, but it's not high on my listening lists. I did really like the medley song though, that was groovy to listen to.
I've heard this album a bunch of times. Adele has a magnificent voice. The songs are all good, and it flows quite well. While not my preference in music, the album is definitely a good one.
Very brit grunge sound - Oasis comes to mind. Heavy guitar, lots of distortion. It's OK.
Like a poor man's Beatles... without the killer riffs.
Wow. What a trip. Someone was on drugs when they made this. While I generally love albums that kind of tell a story... this is very... no
This is alright. A single vocalist with backing music, it's very chill. I love that Stranger Things created a resurgence for Kate Bush.
I'm just not a big fan of that electronic sound... so repetitive and artificial sounding. Not for me.
I feel this singer could have won Australian idol... or any of the singing competitions. He just has that sound to him that so many of them do. Not my thing, but not the worst album we've heard.
Lounge Jazz. It's an interesting sound that's to be sure. I feel like I need to be in a bar in the 40s, cigarette in hand...
Real guitar. Nice balance between instruments and vocals. Very 70s sound.
Huh. They did shake it off baby. Crazy.
Didn't think I was going to enjoy that one, but it really wasn't bad.
Boston is Boston... it is a great album. Foreplay/Long Time is a such a great song. That opening of the instrument only Foreplay. Chef's Kiss.
What the fuck did I just listen to? The only positive I have to say about this is at least the songs, and hence the whole album, was really short and over quickly. I like the sound, but the vocals and lyrics are junk.
This has some good songs on it - Midnight Rambler for example. Others are average. But a prolific band like The Stones you'd expect that - there's a reason their Best of Albums sell best.
Iggy Pop is pretty cool to listen to. Very upbeat. Could listen to this album again.
I lost interest in this album about 3 songs in...
Ok... sure... this feels like the band had some kind of emotional breakdown and then recorded this album. Oh boy.
Eh. While it's an album I owned, I think nostalgia carries it. Typical emo brit pop sound.
Eh. Not a fan. Too slow for my taste. Got Bob Dylan vibes.
I could barely tell this album from the last one... it was only that I searched YouTube Music for this album that it wasn't just "similar songs" added at the end of the last album. I think the Cardigans would have faded into obscurity much faster if it wasn't for Love Fool being part of the Romeo & Juliet soundtrack.
I actually liked this. Was definitely the better album of the last 3.
Yes. Now we're talking. Aerosmith. And this is a good album. No massive scene stealing songs, but all of them just rock.
The title track is a collaboration with Santana... and a bunch of the other songs feature other prominent artists - though it's a very blues/bluegrass/rock combo sound. Pretty easy listening, but not for me.
Best album given so far (it may also align with my music tastes more than any of the others lol)
I kinda dig this album. The guitar-work in particular is awesome.
Not my thing to listen to as an album, but you can hear the origins of so much music in there. I do like the brass injection to the music. Everything is better with brass instruments involved.
Nope. Sounds like every pop album ever produced.
They're a weird mix of rock, and screaming metal... with ballardy backing guitar. They've got some epic songs... pun intended. Shame the best song on the album is a cover of War Pigs.
Pretty typical Neil Young. There's some talent there, but ugh. Just not for me.
This is some blues and traditional rhythm and blues (not the bastardisation that "R&B" is these days). Very smooth. I am getting into this album.
The album title feels appropriate. Got a half decent sound, but the constant droning on the electronically adjusted vocals is a no from me.
Some of the original cool cats of music. What a group. I'm down for the groovy-ness of this album. Easy listening.
Nope. Nope and nope. I'd rather listen to Bob Dylan on repeat.
Oh man. After Leonard Cohen I was hoping for a nice rock or metal album. Hell I could have gone something pop or even jazz or swing. Instead we get this... Oh man. I needed to check if my ears were bleeding multiple times.
Better than the last 2 albums... but kind of sounds like what you'd hear in a garage in suburbia of high school kids rehearsing as a band for their \"gig\".
Smooth. Good guitarist. Odd choice featuring a different instrument each track to accompany the guitar. All in all, not bad.
Ugh, this is the sort of country music that encourages the perception that country music is all melancholy and emo. Not Dolly's best work.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.... wake me up when they do something interesting.
This opens with an absolute cacophony of noise. And it really doesn't get better... but you do get better at listening to it.
Best album we've heard in a while, but still not the greatest. But it is a fun listen.
Much like Queen, you can't go wrong with Roger Daltrey, Pete Townsend, Keith Moon and the bassist... The Who is an iconic band from that era. While I don't rate them as highly as I do Queen, this album is pretty good.
Ugh. It was OK, but that's the most positive thing I can say bout it.
Ugh. Faith is a fun song. But honestly this isn't my thing.
It's a lot of noise going on. But not too bad. I think I was too harsh on George Michael last time cause I rate them similarly, and I think this is worth a 3.
Nope. Just nope. Not the worst music I've ever heard, but seriously, I'm drifting off to sleep.
This is fairly typical sound of the 70s. She's got a good voice, but it's not for me.
Bonus points for the original name of both the band and the album. Typical sound of that era. It was OK.
Some nice guitar and drum work. Not a fan of the screaming/singing but that's Jane's Addiction for you.
I feel that emos that like LIVE would like this album. It's grungy with a side of melancholy. Perfect for those moments of self reflection deciding on when/how to get attention.
This is kinda funky. I dig it.
First 10 seconds and you know who is playing... it's definitely Madness.
What the hell was that? I feel like someone got Ross from Friends to make an album.
It's Aerosmith.
Not terrible. But isn't really my thing. Too much gentle pop sounds going on.
Kinda funky. I didn't mind it.
I can see why this is an important album... but nope. Not for me.
This is just odd. The music. The lyrics. The vocals. Just odd.
Not as good as 21. But OK.
It's early Stones. Some OK songs. The album isn't terrible.
It's Bob Dylan. Enough said. Except I'd prefer we weren't subjected to more of his albums. 1 was 1 too many. 2 is a joke.
One of the greatest bands ever. Killer album.
Pretty typical sound for that era. Nothing stands out above anything else from then.
It's OK. Nothing ground breaking but an alright album.
Won't make my list of great albums. I think his other albums are better, but I've never sat down and listened to them.
Nope. This album is really summed up by one of his other hits (not on this album): Free Falling.
This is not for me. I disliked every second of that album.
It has a very church/cult kind of sound to it. Would probably go well in a soundtrack dealing with those topics...
This is pretty funky. Would listen again.
Everything sounds the same. And very.... Idol/The Voice kind of sound to it (most of the singers that do well in these shows all sound kinda the same when they are finished).
There's a few average songs, but the album is a banger from the king of pop
He's got better albums
WTF is this.
This just isn't my thing. It is better than Dizzee Rascal though.
Eh. Was putting me to sleep.
Not bad album to be honest. Takes me back to listening to it when it released.
soft rock like this just doesn't do anything for me. Bring on the power ballads if you are going to do this kinda stuff.
Elvis is Elvis. This isn't his best album though.
Good style, easy listening
Nope. Not for me. But got a good rhythm about the album. 3 stars.
Again. Rap is not for me. I can't stand listening to it.
Skilled musician and singer. But not for me.
Typical sound for the era. Can see the inspiration for other bands, but as an album... eh.
Best album in the last 3 or 4.
Wizard on guitar, and that takes centre stage on the recording - so much so that a lot of the vocals sound muted. It's OK, but really just his guitarwork is worth listening to, the rest is average.
I am not a fan of this kind of thing. I just don't like it.
Smooth. don't mind this. 4 stars.
Oh man I love Lynyrd Skynyrd. Such a neat sound. Free Bird is like one of the best songs to play on Guitar Hero ever!
Takes me back to my childhood, my parents used to listen to Buddy Holly all the time.
Very grungy, but a lot of it is guitar distortion just to make the noise. Not a massive fan.
A couple of good songs, but on the whole it wasn't really for me.
If I need an album to put me to sleep, this would be pretty high in my choices.
It's OK. Very typical 90's grunge sound though.
WTF am I listening to.
I like this album, not sure if me, or influenced by my dad when I was a kid.
Lemmy is alright
Not a fan, but the album actually isn't bad.
This is weird... but in a kinda neat way.
I just don't like the repetitive electronic sounds....
This is just an amazing album
It's a great album.
If this isn't the sound of the 80s I don't know what is....
This is just junk. It's better than some other rap I've heard, but it's still not great.
Eh. Again.
Was OK.
Shouldn't need to put anything here. It's only one of the more influential albums in rock history
Surprisingly better than I was expecting
Pretty funky album
Great album. Really smooth listening.
Not their best album that's for sure. But still ok.
This is just odd. She's got a good soul/jazz voice, but some of the random noises are just weird.
It's fine... not fantastic, not horrible.
Kinda funky. I like how it is instrumental.
I love me a bit of Creedence
I don't like rap. I have 0 appreciation for it.
As a general rule, the music is alright, but the singer leaves a bit to be desired.
This is not for me. Good voice. But that's where my compliments stop.
Not terrible. A little slow for my liking though.
Not his best album.
What the fuck did I just listen to?
The best album of the last 5.
I don't even need to listen to this album to rate it. It's only one of my favourite albums of all time. Instant-5.
Eh
Lovely voice
This was surprisingly good
Red hot garbage.
Started strong... then got a little odd. Overall it was OK.
Tom Waits again. Such a weird album. I don't hate it. I don't like it either.
Not my favourite Metallica album... but I firmly believe bad Metallica is still better than a lot of the other shit we have had to listen to.
This was tough to rate, i liked it, yet also disliked it.
Weird album. But it was ok
While I think U2 is completely overrated in the last 10-15 years, this is a phenomenal album.
Not bad to be honest. Very chill.
I strait up love Dire Straits (pun intended). And this album is full of bangers.
This was ok, in a sea shanties of the 1970s kind of way
Frank Zappa is kind of funky. I like.
What the actual living hell is this album?
Layla is a fantastic song. The rest of the album is OK.
Honestly this is a good album.
OK. Nothing brilliant though.
Eh. It was OK.
This is a junk album.
Mrs Robinson and Hazy Shade of Winter are good. And while their harmonies are something other singers should aspire to, this album is junk. Voices of Old People. Bloody hell.
If you can't tell the band name from the album name something isn't right. And that kind of sums up this album.
Eh. Nothing special, but not bad.
No doubt Miles is a top trumpet player... but an entire album is a bit much.
Kinda funky - but would I listen to it again? Nope.
ABBA has some great songs. Shame none of them are on this album.
Stevie Wonder is pretty great.
Music was OK. Lyrics were junk.
Zzzzzzz..... if I wanted to go to sleep, I'd consider this album.
I don't like Coldplay. Completely overrated and repetitious garbage.
I think the dogs in the neighbourhood all knew I was listening to this - everything is so high pitched - for someone with such great vocal range, she sits in a fairly high key all the time.
Not as annoying as his other albums we've listened to in this list
This is not my style of music... but I don't hate it. I don't understand why he needs to insert his moniker in every song though.
She sells out stadiums? How? Why? Based on this album, I can't see why she's as big as she is.
Yeah... nah. It's OK, but not for me.
That wasn't bad. The album cover was kinda cool too.
I just don't like this style of music.
Eh. Not good, but not bad.
Very easy listening.
The vocals and music could do with better balance. But I do like what I am hearing.
Classic songs. Good album.
I liked this
I'm not a fan of this one... I like the piano, but the electronic synth bass is just not doing it for me
Not bad.
I actually enjoyed that album
I love Queen... but there is a reason not many of the songs on this album are played on radio.
Very garage band sounding... and not in a good way
Was better than I was expecting. But the bar was pretty low.
This is a brilliant album!
Oh dear. It's emo rock.
eh not that special...
Psychedelic Rock masters. It's odd, and yet works.
Not bad.
Not a big fan of this one, but definitely heard worse.
I think U2 are overrated. But this is a pretty good album.
I can't believe we've listened to this many albums before our first Beatles one. They really were pioneers.
I'm doing dull repetitive stuff for work right now... this album got put on. I've not yawned this much in hours.
Great voice. But this just isn't for me.
Epic album. Both in length and quality.
He's got an Elvis sound to his voice, but without the up beat songs to go with it.
What the fuck is this? This is one of the weirdest albums I've ever heard... and yet it's not bad.
I can't finish listening to this album. I just can't stand this genre.
Ugh. Double dose of rap. I just can't enjoy this genre.
To soft, too much focus on the vocals (which are quality) but not for me.
Good to great album.
What the hell is this? Sounds like a demented cow joined a grunge band.
Hell yes. A classic rock album. While Meatloaf lost it in his later years, this album is the pinnacle of his career!
what the fuck. This reminds of that episode of Friends where Ross plays random noises on his keyboard. And yet somehow... this is worse. Who the fuck buys this album and why is it in this list?
It's like an album made by a 50's housewife... for 50's housewives (if they knew their husband was listening)
This is not my genre. But it's better than a few other things we've been forced to listen to lately.
Eh. Beck... is Beck.
Rather clean my ears out with a piece of barbed wire.
Yikes. What the hell.
If I was prone to depression this album would send me over the edge. Far out. Could it be any more emo?
This album would be so much better if you could mute the vocals. I love the heavy metal drums and guitar, but the screaming of the vocalist is just draining and detracts from the music.
Not too bad
Absolute classic album. Great chill music. Loved it.
Meh. Right in the middle.
Ugh. No. Just no.
Ho boy this isn't good
