Album No.7 I don't really listen to too much rap so probably because I'm not into the genre, I didn't really enjoy it too much, and I felt like it was very long. It didn't really engage me much. Some tracks were good but I wouldn't listen to any by choice. Would give it 1.5/5 Favourites: - Guillotine (Swordz) - Ice Cream
The guy can spit rhymes like breathing but their music it ain't for me. It felt like being thrown words after words after words and I can understand where this is coming from, the East Coast vs West Coast rap and all in between but seriously this album it ain't for me.
Hard for me to be objective as this is definitely not my jam....

This kind of hip-hop isn't really my style. The heavy focus on lyrics over beats and melody gets lost when English isn't my first language and I can't relate to the messages in the songs. This just isn't for me.

This sounds like lots of other albums in a similar vein. Wasn't offensive, but nothing here really grabbed me. If you've heard RaekWON, you've heard 'em all.
Only positive about this album are some of the reviews on here some of which are truly hilarious. Just noticed that today's album is Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here one of my absolute favorite albums. Not going to listen to that today, probably on the weekend with a nice drink and really enjoy myself.

Nope. Sorry. This is just more stereotypical, self-aggrandizing, misogynistic hip hop that all sounds the same. The lyrics are stupid, the music is bad and monotonous, mixing is uneven. There are no redeeming qualities in this at all. I don't connect with this kind of music whatsoever. A waste of an hour and 13 minutes. 0/5
I dunno if it's an off day for me or what, I usually like Wu tang stuff but this one is just not working for me. Will I listen to again: 1%

This was just boring. Not sure if I even stayed awake for this one.
Lame attempt at a rap album. Not only did they suck, they sucked for 18 tracks. The beats are boring and the rap is sloppy. The only thing worse than their rapping is the font on the album cover.
Through this project I've been able to engage with more rap and hip hop than I'd expected to, but not this one, sadly. I can get angry about some of the same stuff as the writers, but it's the genre itself that I can't often click with (Public Enemy being a recent exception, I enjoyed that one). I gave up half way through, so probably shouldn't be rating it.

I don’t get it. Seriously. Basic uninspired beats with seemingly mediocre production and lyrics that I couldn’t connect with. I can only assume that my feeling about this mirrors somewhere someone’s feelings about 2/4 A-E-D rock and roll.
p756. 1995. 1 star. Not going to lie, this is the first album on the list that I gave up trying to listen all the way through. Tedious, foul mouthed garbage from guttersnipes. It's fucking horrible.

It never ceases to amaze me how many critically-l acclaimed hip-hop albums this project conjures. Despite my initial efforts, it’s crap like Cuban Linx that leaves me adamant this genre will never occupy space in my heart. To hell with you who rave about how “culturally important” these songs are or how there’s “strength and presence in the message”. This is purely awful, vulgar, mind-numbing garbage.

Ég hlustaði á alla plötuna og mér fannst ég næstum því hafa bara verið að hlusta á sama lagið á repeat því þau voru öll eins. Ég skil alveg að fólk finnist svona tónlist skemmtileg en ég er ekki í þeim hópi. Mér hefur alltaf fundist þetta vera svo yfirborðskenndir og útúrkreistir töffarataktar. Alls ekki minn smekkur.

I liked Blue Raspberry’s voice on Rainy Dayz and that’s about it! The rest was horrible.

Evidence a stupid conservative gave for thinking Taylor Swift is a man. 1. The powers that be (he doesn't clarify who they are) like word games so they made the first two letters of Taylor Swift's name T and S. The same letters of Trans-sexual. 2. She has a "power jaw" "massive forehead" and "castrado proportions" He also exclaimed "that ain't a woman's shape" 3. Travis Kelce took the jab and he's supposedly manly so liberals don't want him to be gay. I disavow all 3 of these reasons. I think Taylor Swift is a woman. There are biological women with her body shape and facial structure. Mr. Conservative has an agenda for wanting Travis Kelce to be gay. Music for idiots, by idiots 👍 Boring and mundane, mind-numbingly monotonous and dull. Each song is nauseatingly repetitive. The “songwriting” for each song consists of a generic 4-second beat that is looped for 4 minutes while he raps about boring cliche rap shit I lost 10 IQ points listening to this. This album takes a heavy psychic toll on the listener
Lyrically pained, good base beat and some compelling rap poetry. Unnecessary amount of swearing.

This was cRAP. I didn't enjoy a single minute of it. I'm definitely not their target audience and don't need this kind of hate, anger and attitude in my life. If zero stars was an option this would have earned it.

Also ran rap with low production and not in a good intentional lo-fi way, just in a “did it in our basement” way.
I didn’t enjoy this one at all. First off, the lyrics. Half of them are essentially unintelligible. With hip-hop, I think being able to actually understand the words is semi important and for half the songs that wasn’t possible. And when you could understand the lyrics, they seemed very inane and superficial. But the worst part was the production. I couldn’t stand it. Way too compressed, which didn’t help the earlier lyrics issues, and very distracting. While there has been a few hip-hop albums on this list that I have enjoyed, this one was not one of them.

Yet anther Gansta outfit with the usual unimaginative lyrics. There was some music in the background melody but I couldn't be bothered to subject myself to the last three tracks. Does this really count as music or is it just "street" to like it ? I don't ! 1* just to acknowledge that I listened.

Ooof, that was one, hard battle, to get through this album. It took less than 30 seconds into any of the songs, and my mind was drifting away. Not even a one beat or mix hooked me in, nothing seemed enjoyable or interesting. They style of rapping also wasn't my favourite, it was in fact a bit boring, I really couldn't focus on the lyrics that much. I have read about this album as being one of the best in Wu-Tang Clan's members solo career, and also very influential to new generation of hip-hop. Unfortunately, I couldn't see anything of value when listening to this record and all can I do is question the placement of it on this list.

Nope, I still can’t stand hip hop. And while I don’t mind swearing, and practice the practice a lot, it does feel like a kitten dies each time this singer utters another salvo of unnecessary swears.

70 minutes of boredom. The beats and background samples are numbingly repetitive and snooze inducing.
Most of the beats are really boring or just plain bad, and just gets tiring to listen to over and over again for 5 minutes, with no variation. When you reuse a 5 second loop for 5-7 minutes straight, you can at least make it a bit pleasing to listen to. I'll never forget when I first saw Wu-Tang at a festival, worst performers I'd seen and the fans were infinitely worse. Love their incorporation of little snippets of sound from movies and other media to represent their own vision of being fighters in their own life. But the execution is so off that I can't bump it up because of that. 1

Couldn't get hooked by this one at all. Started out strong at the top, setting me up for a concept album about a guy doing what he had to to get his family out of the life. But then it was a lot of gats and bitches and... blargh. Sounds pretty generic to me.
