JusticeIt’s a vibe and if I was hot and sweaty and drunk at a festival or something I would really vibe this. Instead I’m hot and sweaty and sober at home so I mostly liked it
It’s a vibe and if I was hot and sweaty and drunk at a festival or something I would really vibe this. Instead I’m hot and sweaty and sober at home so I mostly liked it
Never has an album made me as angry as this. Just absolute pure shit. He’s not even doing something interesting. I’d occasionally get to a song and for a second I thought it was good then I realised it was just not as pure shit as the last song. I now know how El G feels when he’s not listening to dad rock. I have a pure hatred for Ian Dury now and want to exhume him so I can punch him in the face multiple times.
Walk on by was great but outstayed its welcome by 2 minutes. Really loved the opening, having 2 odd minutes without vocals was really cool, especially when you have such an incredible and iconic voice as Isaac Hayes. Quite like by the time I get to phoenix, might have to listen to that a few more times to form a full opinion. The rest of the album didn’t do much for me, but Issac Hayes voice is incredible
Arctic Monkey vibes, quite like them
This is an album that definitely requires multiple listens. Really enjoyed the journey and feel there’s a lot this album has to offer that I’m not fully appreciating. Great songs, not quite TPAB, but a really enjoyable album.
It’s Bowie, it’s going to be great. Nothing massively memorable but it was all good non the less
Really liked it, will add it to my rotation
Banger after banger Love everything side One Really love Fill Your Heart, positive vibes please The opening of Andy Warhol annoys me but I like the rest Queen Bitch is great too
It was fine. Nothing too write home about
Thought it sounded very Sex Pistols then found it was John Lydon which makes sense but is disappointing. Everyone wants to be punk but nobody wants to be antiestablishment. Quite liked Religion I even if it was a bit on the nose. Meh
Quite liked it all Wordy Rappington was lots of fun Genius of Love I think I know from Always Sunny? That’s pretty great too. Generally liked it all and would like to listen to it more but don’t know if I will.
3rd prince album I’ve listened to and my last favourite. I feel like I’m missing something with this album, need to maybe look into it a bit and some context will make me appreciate it more.
Really liked it, really weird but in a really interesting way
Really like his stuff, it’s sad but beautiful and raw. Everything means nothing to me really resonated and was lovely. Listened back to Either/Or after this and I definitely prefer that one but don’t dislike this album at all
Quite liked it, felt like I’d heard similar stuff before though. I knew …Sometime and Last Nite which I liked. Good music, would happily put on at a party.
Really chill when nice, gave me Joni Mitchell vibes
Never properly listened to We’ve Only Just Begun and my god, what a banger. Some beautiful lyrics there and throughout the album and a beautiful voice. Sounds a bit 70s cliche but I’m sure it was new and innovative at the time. Gotta respect Bacharach, he really wrote some bangers. Loved the first songs, the rest were good too but not as good as the opening track.
I don’t dislike it but punk don’t massively do it for me. Quite like Police and Thieves but the rest seems to all blur together as fine.
Surprisingly I quite like it. It’s just the right amount of punk for me. On a rope was cool and the rest mixed it up enough to keep me interested.
Really enjoyed this, it was chill but had energy at the same time. Just fun to listen to.
Just started, not what I expected but liking it so far. I know it’s really acclaimed but trying not to let that influence my opinion. Love that there’s some Santana on here. It feels like a really great mix of styles and genres but with an R&B thread throughout. Ex-factor was a personal favourite on the album. Feels like the album was really thought out as opposed to just a selection of songs. The gaps in the songs talking about love feels like it grounds the album.
It just didn’t do much for me. Some good songs but it feels so focused on the vocals, which are good, that the rest of the music doesn’t really do much interesting stuff.
Initially wasn’t sure of the opening track as it felt like it took forever to get going and didn’t go anywhere but I think that was intentional and it’s actually a really good lead into the album. I do love funk and CHIC are disco but there’s some real funk influence in disco and I love it. Listening to the bass more and it’s doing some really fun interesting stuff. Funk rhythm guitar just sounds so good to me.
Good stuff
Generally quite liked it, didn’t feel too samey but stick to its theme
Love the whole album although maybe not my favourite Police album. Had to skip Mother because it just doesn’t feel like it fits in the album. Love the drumming in particular from The Police, it’s syncopated and cool.
Some songs I kinda recognised, it was alright
Absolutely loved this! Dancing in my car to all these things. Could tell it was Brazilian for some reason. Slight Gilberto vibes which is always good.
Just great music, every song was a banger. 10/10
I feel like I’m missing something with this album, like I like it but it’s not blowing me away. Like Pettys voice. Mystery Man was pretty cool. Really like American Girl, who doesn’t?
Maybe it’s the Buck’s Fizz talking but I’ve really loved this! Phil Spector produced some absolute bangers! Like he wrote the Christmas style I feel. Loved the album and it’s being played every year! Ending on was just a lovely way to the album. Another 10/10
It’s a no from me dog
There was some stuff they did musically I found interesting but it just gets overwhelmed by the aggression and it all blends into one sound. I did find it interesting though. Like the Brazilian influence at the start of Altered State, wish they used that more and explored it instead of just jumping straight into heavy metal.
Had to listen to it a few times to get my head around it. I really like it even if it is a little off the wall. I think it’s definitely a band/album I’ll revisit
It’s RHCP, they are what they are. Does anyone else really sounds like them? I guess I like it but it’s a sound I’ve heard so much it didn’t do much for me.
Big fan of Simon & Garfunkel, do like this album but there are some songs I can give a miss. Big Bright Green and A Simple Dulsatory Philippic don’t do anything for me. It’s not there best album though is it?
There is not a bad song on this album. You can tell it’s the first album of The Beatles changing there sound. Like it still sounds like early Beatles in some ways but it’s also developed and experimented in others
Obviously I’ve heard Elvis but I don’t think I’ve ever really listened to it. Some classics on here that were great. Really liked I Love You Because which I’ve never heard before. A few of the songs I hadn’t heard I really liked to. It’s a really timeless sound I think.
I found this album really interesting but I wasn’t quite sure. I was feeling pretty anxious when I listened to it which probably didn’t help. Would definitely like to listen again to fully make up my mind.
Really liked this. It was fun and something I’d definitely put on in the car.
Yes mon!! Absolutely love Train, banging album that flows brilliantly. Just love every track and it feels like a journey. Ending on Psalm just chills me out after vibing throughout the album. Might start running to this
It felt poppy but I could tolerate it. I liked it but didn’t love it
Absolutely hated Sweetest Perfection, there was a dissonance there that just didn’t work at all for me. Personal Jesus and Enjoy the Silence are both bangers but the rest was just a bit meh for me
I felt violated by this album but I kind of liked it. So close to 1 star but the more I listened to it the more I liked it. Only enough to make it to 2 stars though. I’ll probably listen to the album again though. It’s weird.
Some stuff I liked, nothing I hated. It was well produced but I didn’t love it
Some good songs and I like the kinks but nothing special. Liked Session Man though
This album did nothing for me.
Album flowed really nicely, enjoyed it from start to end!
Dull dull dull dull dull. Nothing for me here of any interest.
I don’t really know, it was fine. Nothing really stood out as really good or really bad.
Really quite liked this, never really listened to Rod Stewart properly. MaggieMay is great. Interesting to hear a different version of Someone like you after hearing the Carpenters version earlier, think I preferred this one. Interesting breaks between main songs, not quite sure what he was going for but I liked it.
It didn’t do a lot for me. I found the music interesting but didn’t care for the vocals and they kinda ruined a few songs for me. It wasn’t bad though, just not great.
Surprisingly liked it a lot more than I thought I would. Started strong but got a bit samey half way through.
Very impressive guitar work from Van Halen but nothing massively jumped out to me. Liked it but didn’t love it.
I wanted to like it more, don’t know if I had a better sound set up I’d enjoy it but I struggled to hear the music cutting through the noise. No songs stood out to me but I liked how it finished
I dunno, I feel like I’m missing something with this album
Aretha Franklins great and I enjoy all the songs but as an album it felt something was missing. Would just listen to individual songs as opposed to the whole album
Really flows as an album, all the songs are different but it works soo well. Lovely use of multiple instruments and musical styles just combined together flawlessly. Will listen to more!
Really loved the 15 second intro to the first song. Perfect length. 5 star. The rest of the album was good but not great. Love Stevie Wonder and there are some bangers but it didn’t blow me away.
I just enjoyed the album. It didn’t blow my away but it was fun and made me smile. He was no Johnny Cash but he was good. Mixed up Mess of a Heart was particularly fun.
I liked it more than I thought I would to be fair. Not usually a fan of big band but most of this worked. Really enjoyed the opening piece, the rest interested me less.
Really enjoyed this to be honest. Body Count gave me Beastie Boys vibes in a good way, just hope it didn’t ruin Rock & Roll for El Grande now he won’t be able to relate to it. Only criticism is Prepared to Die: “[Mandela] is a hero, he needs a Nobel Prize. But that will never happen, so I'm gonna keep rappin'” He won one 2 years later which makes Ice T an idiot and a liar who then kept rapping. Generally really good album though!
Enjoyed imagine, although like Chris, out of touch celebs but a downer on it. Jealous guy is cool as is Oh Yoko but beyond that I wasn’t a fan. Obligatory mention that Lennon beat his first wife
It was fine, I like Ray Charles but there was nothing amazing here for me. I wanted to like it more.
I just found it really boring. Sorry. If I grew up on a farm, and was retarded, Stooges might impress me but I didn't, so it doesn't.
The opening track dragged for me so I can only imagine how LG felt about it. Some songs I enjoyed, Drop the Pressure I got half way through and realised I knew. In my arms was alright. I wanted to like Guilty of Love but it just felt a bit self indulgent. Most songs seemed to outstay their welcome. Need you tonight was cool.
I didn’t hate it but it didn’t do anything to blow me away. It felt like an album with an idea and theme but it may have gone over my head. Liked back in the day but I just didn’t feel inspired by the album.
Just an incredible album. The progression from Sun King to The End just blows me away each time. I love every song individually and as an album it just works so well. I want you(She’s so Heavy) drags a bit but I can forgive that as it’s the last song on the A Side so it feels more acceptable? Just an incredible album.
I liked some of the tracks but it didn’t do anything amazing in my opinion. I really like the gorillaz but I don’t love them. The album lost me until Latin Simone got me back on it. Probably won’t listen again. The more I listen to Clint Eastwood the more I like it. No Wonder it’s one of their hits
Man this was a difficult one. There were moments I found interesting and enjoyed but they were just too few and far between. Way too long an album that just rambled on a bit. It just didn’t feel polished at all.
Man I was not in the place to listen to a load of romantic songs. Despite that I did enjoy myself with it. And I love her is just gorgeous. Even when The Beatles were doing generic ish pop they were still great and knocking it out the park.
This was just really chill and nice to listen to. Just made me feel very zen and feel the album. Really enjoyed Human
This just made me angry. Some of it was alright but most of it was shit and just weird and yeah I'm not going to think about this album ever again.
Kicking off with Metal Guru straight away is a bold way to start an album and I liked it! Just a fun T. Rex album, I listened to them loads years ago and revisiting is really fun. Should listen to them more really.
Some bangers but it didn’t do a lot for me.
Listened to this album with a glass of wine while stargazing. It was alright, it felt like a good combo but the album didn’t do much for me which is a shame. It was a well done album but wasn’t anything special for me
I’ve given this a few listens and each time I love it more and more. Just a joy to listen to
I’ve heard a little LCD Soundsystem and enjoyed it so this was nice. It’s a really good album and I can’t really Place why but that’s not an issue. Hearing the last track on the album without Miles Davies is really weird and feels a little empty but that works for the sentiment of the song. Close to a 5 but not quite
It came in, it did its thing, it left. Just great stuff, love a walking bass line, not quite 5 star but nothing to complain about
Would have been a 4 but it just dragged as an album
If I’m going to listen to a live album I want it to feel different to the album version which this album doesn’t really do. I think that’s an old school metal thing though. Despite that I mostly enjoyed it. Although Jailbait is a weird song and I did not enjoy that, far too close to the truth with rock bands.
Some stuff I really liked but there was enough stuff that felt like filler that put me off a bit. Would definitely listen to some of the songs again but not the album.
Really glad this exists, it’s interesting and fun and a cool combination of genres I never would have thought of. That being said I didn’t massively love it but I did enjoy it
Really liked this, nice mix of genres with a hip hop base. Could probably benefit from a few more listens from me but it did what it did really well
Love this album. Not a bad track and a lovely journey to go on! Rock N Roll Suicide is such a strong ending. One of those albums I never get tired of.
It was a nice listen but didn’t blow me away. I wouldn’t mind if someone else put it on but wouldn’t chose to myself
I generally really quite liked this. Particularly liked We Are the Music Makers. Not incredible but really well done and a fun listen. May listen again when I need to hyper focus on something.
I listened to this when I was really tired and feeling kinda down. Nice and cathartic, got all the negative vibes out. Great songwriter, less great singer but that honestly doesn’t bother me all too much.
Highway to Hell was a great opener. Night Prowler at the end I enjoyed but enriching else was pretty forgettable. It’s not bad, it’s just not for me
This just ain’t it for me. Welcome to the jungle is great opening. Sweet Child O Mine is pretty great but the rest I could take or leave, even Paradise City didn’t do much for me when I was listening critically
Really loved this. Opening track really sucked me in. Blue Moon Revisited was beautiful too. The album feels raw and unpolished in a good way. And it feels like they all really enjoy playing together. Didn’t really go anywhere but I liked it
Band On The Run is like Bohemian Rhapsody but better. Love every track on this album and it just flows from song to song. Can’t pick anything out in particular as it’s all just top quality
It dragged a fair bit but I actually kinda liked it. Did a lot of interesting things and every song felt like a journey to me. Would listen again, just don’t know under what set of circumstances
First track dragged but it felt like an intro to the music so maybe I can forgive it. Recognised Part IV for some reason. It grew on me as the album went on in all honesty. The Album Artwork is great too
I really liked this, got some Iron and Wine Vibes as well as Vince Guaraldi. Maybe a little long but loved the journey. Would love to listen again but would need to find the time with a glass of wine
Really enjoyed this album, it was just fun and nice. Highlights for me: A Rose for Emily, This Will be Our Year, and Time of The Season.
I’ve listened to Jess music from Peep Show. I’ve listened to this. I can’t tell the difference. I did like it though, I did a park run in the rain to it and it got me through most of it. I know it was groundbreaking but it’s not for me.
Some good songs but it didn’t do much for me as an album. It’s Bowie so it’s still good but not great
Came in with high hopes after loving Q Tips Renaissance. Haven’t really heard much of this sort of music in the past for whatever reason but have heard of the band. I knew Can I Kick It and really liked it. I never used to be a fan of sampling but I’ve learned to really appreciate it and this album has some great funky samples. I think a lot of it will benefit from a few relistens but I really enjoyed it. Not as much as The Renaissance but that grew from a 4* to a 5* so maybe his will too
I liked Promised You a Miracle but it some how managed to be repetitive despite being fairly short. The rest of the album was Simply Forgettable
Maybe I need nostalgia but this didn’t do a lot for me. Liked some of the songs but I’ve already forgotten what it sounded like.
I actually quite liked it, I listened to it a few times and enjoyed the sound. Some interesting influences all mixed together. Would listen to more of these guys
To paraphrase El Grande, it’s not even his best live album. That being said I enjoyed it, I really like Johnny Cash and think his live recordings let him shine as a performer. Definitely an album I could have on rotation
Don’t know why I liked this so much but it was really enjoyable for me. Never heard any NiN but I’m vibing it
I liked it. Not a fan of the amount of covers but a solid album.
I’ve heard a load of songs of this album but haven’t really listened to it as an album. I’ve heard Knights of Cydonia loads but this is the first time really listening to it. Loved the surfer rock combined with western style and all sorts of other things together. Will listen to as an album again
I wanted to like it so much more than I did. I’d heard of this album so was excited for it to come up but it didn’t really do all that much for me. It wasn’t bad just felt very samey
Came into this album sceptical and I bloody loved it! The sample of Genie in a Bottle in Thank You threw me but I really liked it! The whole of Disc 2 in itself is a masterpiece and a joyous listen. The opening 2 tracks were mint, candyman was great in a different way. Nasty Naughty Boy turned me on a little. And the rest of the disc was just mint. Listened to this album twice because it was that good.
I liked Oedipus Schmoedipus somewhat but this was just dull. It takes a lot to make a film score interesting in itself (shout out Miles Davis) and this was a non existent one so Adamson had no excuse but it just wasn’t there for me. I’m sure there are people who have got Barry Adamson and Bryan Adams mixed up, and the thought of people listening to this and expecting something like Summer of ‘69 is somewhat amusing. I just wish I could say the same about this album.
The electric organ is terrible and I hate it with a passion. Everything else on the album I quite enjoyed, but the organ just cuts through and ruins it. The bonus track is a standard I love and I enjoyed that but I don’t know if I should count it?
I came in thinking this would be absolutely awful but it wasn’t. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t good but it wasn’t the worst thing I’ve ever heard. Some interesting use of found objects. But yeah, won’t listen again, if I’d never had heard it my life would go on just fine. Honestly was expecting it to be more interesting. I can live with bad if it’s interest but it was just bad and boring
I feel like I’m missing something here but this album didn’t do much for me. Liked the song with Q Tip and the songs following it were alright but the album was mostly forgettable for me. Probably would benefit from a few more listens which may happen tbf
Didn’t like it as much as there other album but it was good. Happy to hear it but there’s other music I’d rather listen to most of the time
Sat in the theatre at work in the dark with this playing. Was great to hear soo much of the album that I would have missed otherwise. Some really interesting stuff happening, really enjoyed the vibe of most of it but has a few moments I got bored. Opened amazingly, the ambience got me right in it and loved the first song The Wizard lost me, really didn’t enjoy that Behind the Wall of Sleep I really enjoyed, the slight delay with the vocals between L+R was such a cool effect that enhanced the song NIB & Evil Woman were great Really liked Sleeping Village Warning didn’t justify its runtime for me but it wasn’t bad, I just felt it didn’t go anywhere.
Dudes trying way too hard. Wind your neck in
I really wanted to like this more. Maybe if it caught me on a different day it would be a higher rating but it just didn’t grab me as much as I hoped.
I don't know man, it wasn't bad but I just didn't really enjoy it anything special. It wasn't bad but it just felt a but bland. Kinda liked Jesus, Etc. but the rest passed me by.
I tried listening to this when it first came up. I found out my niece had passed away whilst listening to Vincent so that song and this album are difficult listens for me. I like American Pie even if I have no idea what he’s chatting about. Obviously Buddy Holly died but how does all the other stuff he’s talking about relate together? I still like it though. Vincent and Crossroads are sad listens but good. I like Everybody Loves Me, Baby. Babylon is a weird listen. I like it a lot but I have to listen to the Boney M version afterwards to resolve it almost. I like the album but it’s a weird one for me.
Love Cash and loved all this. Every song was great, Hurt is amazing! I’ve heard Cash do Give My Love to Rose loads but hearing this version hit differently. Had a cry during Bridge over Troubled Water All good shit
Herbie slaps man. I've listened to some of his stuff but never really given him a fair listen. I've heard Mongo Santamaria's cover of Watermelon Man before and really enjoyed it this time round too. Sly really hit some jazzy notes for me that I was vibing. Vein Melter was alright, I liked the ending but the rest didn't hit for me. I love funk, I love jazz, why have I never listened to Herbie really before now??
All the other Radiohead I’ve heard I really liked but this didn’t do a lot for me. I knew Jigsaw Falling into Place because Brad Mehldau has done a mint cover of it which I preferred.
I’m sure this is for someone but it’s not for me
It’s a really good album but I don’t think I’ll ever listen to it again. It’s just not for me but I can tell it’s good. Is that weird?
An ex of mine really liked this album, she was not a nice person. That being said I really enjoyed this. This whole album was just a mood and I was here for it. Definitely one to listen to in the dark with a good bit of bottom end - definitely need to stop listening to these albums in the car, my car speakers have no bottom end and I lose so much of the tracks. No idea why this album was so enjoyable but it was. Every track felt individual enough but they all followed a theme. That's what I want from my albums. Lasers on Insight was cool, I liked that. Definitely get a spacy vibe from this album. Opening of Shadowplay gave me I Wanna Be Adored vibes which I'm always happy with.
My kind of music. Listened to it while drinking champagne with my new flatmate which was a vibe. Just going to be a positive album for me I reckon. Possibly even a 5* after a few more listens
I really liked this and I feel there’s a lot I’m missing from just giving it one listen. Will try and give it a few more goes at some point but for now I like it
Man just a really good album. Love her voice and musical style. Loved the Thom Yorke track, just loved it all round. Thanks for introducing me to PJ Harvey
I honestly really enjoy this. Cult of Personality is a banger of an opening track. Open Letter (To a Landlord) is cool as well. It's all great stuff and I'd love more of it.
Jeffs a bit of a whiny boy but I’m here for it 100% all the time. One of my favourite, if not my favourite album. Classic post break up Elliot music this. Best version of Hallelujah. Lyrically just sad and beautiful, real cathartic gut punch of an album. Lover You Should've Come Over is a favourite of mine, paints a beautiful picture lyrically and I'm a fan of a unique time signature (6/8) I know Forget Her is a bonus track so I don't know if I should count it but I love it so much. Been on many drunk night walks listening to this album and feeling sorry for myself, 10/10 would recommend.
If Synergy is The interaction of two or more agents or forces so that their combined effect is greater than the sum of their individual effects Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young is the antonym of that. Individually they’re great but when they come together they’re just good. Our House being the exception. It wasn’t bad by any means but you just expect so much more when 4 powerhouses come together like this. It just made me want to listen to some of Neil Youngs solo work.
Really like this style of music, but if I fancied it I’d just listen to the O Brother, Where Art Though? soundtrack
Post punk I didn’t hate. That’s pretty impressive in my books
I knew Strawberry Letter 23 and liked it. The rest is the album was my kind of music and good but not great. Honestly a little disappointed as I was expecting a lot more
Expected some good songs. Got very little.
Classic Lynyrd Skynyrd. Can’t complain every song was bloody great but not quite there for me. I can’t hear Freebird without thinking about that scene in Kingsman
This album just did it for me! Vibing it in the summer and just feeling great! Mr Follow Follow felt a touch too long but I really loved the whole album. Can see myself putting this on while BBQing surrounded by great company, great food and great beer.
I didn't hate it, didn't love it. Some songs I could vibe too, others less so. Would be great to see live I imagine
I love you Miles, you’re a real mother fucker but I just don’t get this man. I love In a Silent Way but this is too much. I’m sorry.
Listened a few times. Really enjoyed all of it but wasn’t blown away.
Talking heads are a band that I feel I should really like but they just don’t click for me for some reason
It was fun, didn’t massively blow me away though
I’m sure I’m missing something with this album, love Bill Evans but the Vanguard album just misses the mark for me. Love Alice in Wonderland and Gloria’s Step but the rest didn’t hit me like other Bill Evans albums have
The first song reminded me of That One Night by The Hunted. Layla is like the opposite of Synergy. It’s 2 songs that when put together are worse than the sum of their parts. The rest of the album was fine.
It was fine, didn’t offer anything amazing for me. Won’t listen again but if it was playing I wouldn’t turn it off
This album started off strong but didn’t do much beyond its initial impression. It took me on a journey, sure, but it was in 3rd gear the whole way. I wanted to like it but it was just too dull. It’s well done which is what saved it from a 2
Listened to this a few times now. Really enjoyed it, Dave Grohl is very good at what he does. Didn’t blow my mind but will happily keep listening to this
OK is probably the right name for the album. I get what he was doing and it's interesting to blend traditional Indian music with D&B but I just didn't massively enjoy it. I'm glad it exists but it's not for me.
Listened through it a few times. Really liked it, feel I’ll listen to it more and like it more and more. Could be a 5 given time.
The less I paid attention the more I enjoyed it
Good shit. This album got me into jazz. Love a funky time signature.
I drove a few friends to Birmingham last night. I then managed to lock my keys in the car. I ended up having to get a lift from a friend who was there back to my flat to pick up my spare key, then get a lift back to Birmingham and then I drove back. This all led to me driving back from Birmingham to Shrewsbury between 4:30 and 5:30 listening to this album. I’ve got to say it was the perfect conditions, it was dark, the roads were clear, I was a bit delirious. When the drums came in in In a Silent Way it just got me going. If you can find a less stressful way to enjoy this album I’d recommend it but I had a fun adventure
Marvin, I listen to your music when I want to bump uglies. You complaining about alimony in song form is a real buzz kill. It was an interesting album and I’m glad it exists, but it didn’t hit me.
Close to perfect
I thought I was going to enjoy this but not as much as I actually did. Generally just really good and really fun. Every song was different enough while sticking to a vibe which is what I want in an album.
I just love this album. America might just be the best song ever written. I never know how I feel about Voices of Old People. This whole album just feels like a vibe I’m here for. Just a bit emotional and cathartic. Would recommend
Just kept listening to this and enjoying it. Picked up more interesting thing on each re listen. It’s close but it’s a 5 from me dawg.
Oh man this list is firing on all cylinders at the moment. That Lady is a banger, I first heard it sampled on Kendrick Lamar’s i and I’ve been hooked ever since. Some of the sexiest guitar I’ve ever heard. Summer Breeze opening gives me a chubby. Vocals are just smooth. Will stick on a load more.
I like it, I don’t love it
Grime isn’t really my thing. That being said I didn’t hate it. Kinda liked the last track
I just love a bit of Latin music. Wish my Spanish was better to understand it lyrically but I’ll get there
Really enjoyed it. Would have loved to have seen him live, proper performer and show mon
I wanted to like it but it just bores me and passed me by
I'm glad that I've finally listened to all The Stooges albums on this list, I hope Iggy's solo work is less shit but I'm not holding out much hope. I'm sure The Stooges were impressive and revolutionary at the time but in 2024 they just don't hold up.
It was fine music, I know it’s influenced a load of artists but if I never hear it again my life won’t feel like it’s missing anything
Some bits I actually quite liked, I went in thinking I'd enjoy it but it never went anywhere positive for me.
Started off absolutely hating this album, but it got better throughout the listen. Still not great but I didn’t hate it as much as at the beginning
I worked with a musician recently who was the biggest asshole I’ve ever worked with. Just an unbearable prick. He’d been compared to Van Morrison which I thought was fitting. That being said I liked his music and I liked this album a lot.
It’s Post Punk mixed with Alt Rock. So they took the only good part of post punk, which is the antiestablishment stance and mixed it with actual descent music.
There’s some really interesting story telling here, something I haven’t really heard before but I kind of liked it. I nice dive into Americana
Good stuff
I really enjoyed the other Hendrix album, this one just didn't do a lot for me.
Female led punk is pretty good. Great mixing of genres and styles, I like these guys. Listened up to Delicate Cutters as that’s where the original release ended.
I like Peter Gabriel, I like this album. Would listen to again.
I liked it a lot. I always wish with jazz vocalists that the rest of the band get a chance to shine though.
Just some dumb rich kid cosplaying as a redneck pimp.
I wanted to like it more. It was good but not amazing, maybe it’s just not aged well for me
I just don’t like punk, it feels like it’s satirising something and I just can’t take it seriously
Does an orchestra make Heavy Metal better? Yes. Does Heavy Metal make an orchestra better? I’m going with no. For too repetitive, I accidentally listened to most of the first half of the album twice and didn’t notice until the geezer said he would return. Some good songs but far too much between them that all sounded the same.
Just enjoyable stuff
Short, sweet, and just good music. One of Kenzie’s favourite, in fact she’s got it on Vinyl
You’re just a bit mid Elvis, sorry.
I barely understood a word this guy said but I enjoyed it all so much. Good beats and vibes. I wish I could speak French but was very happy to let this funky music do the talking, talking, yeah.
I just didn’t enjoy this at all. That being said it wasn’t bad
I liked it in an edgy teenager way. Beyond that I wasn’t so sure.
I’m sure it’s not what these guys were going for but there was some funny shit on this album. Emptiness is loneliness And loneliness is cleanliness And cleanliness is godliness And God is empty just like me Mary had a little lamb Her face was white as snow And everywhere that Mary went I was sure to go Now Mary's got a problem, and Mary's not a stupid girl Mary's got some deep shit, and Mary does not forget It didn’t save the album but it at least got me smiling politely
Surprised how much I liked this. Good stuff
This album feels experimental in the same way as every album was experimental in this time. It feels influential but not really good
It wasn’t terrible. It certainly wasn’t good though
I liked this, no idea what to expect but it's good. It feels like what OK by Talvin Singh could have been if it was good.
Steely Dan are always a solid shout for me. It’s not there best album though plus it doesn’t have Kid Charlemagne which is an absolute banger. That being said would happily listen again, Steely Dan are my sort of vibe
Something 4 the Weekend was really good, the rest just kind of passed me by as songs
Really enjoyed the beginning and end of the album. The middle dipped a bit for me though. Almost a 4 but not quite
I’ve tried listening to this a few times and just got bored. That said it’s not bad it just didn’t grab me
Some interesting stuff in To Live is to Die but the rest was kind of mid
The kind of music I don’t really like but done well enough that I enjoyed it and found it interesting. Maybe a 3 is harsh but I’m a bit of a bastard
Came in with really high hopes. Liked it to start with, really enjoyed Heroin but it trailed off at the end. Close but no cigar
Good shit
Enjoyed the first two songs. The rest was inoffensive and dull which is the worst thing and album can be for me. Beautiful Day saved this from a 1.
It did nothing for me but I didn’t hate it. I’ll never actively listen to it again but if a song came on I’d listen to it just fine.
I just bloody love this album. Jarrett gets some incredible sounds out of a poor instrument and the way he adapted his playing style to get the most out of the piano is so interesting and honestly incredible. It's the best-selling solo jazz album and the best-selling piano album for a reason, it just blows me away every time I listen to it.
Didn’t think I’d like it as much as I did but Alanis nailed it with this album!
It’s crazy that this album was only 30 minutes because it dragged and felt a lot longer. It did nothing for me but I’m just not a punk guy. I like their ethos, but not their music.
I quite enjoyed it but it felt a bit disjointed. She's Out of My Life seems really shoehorned in there and really threw the album off. The rest of the album I enjoyed but don't know if I'd listen again. Honestly what was She's Out of My Life doing on this album?? It just didn't fit at all and made the album so much worse.
It’s just good shit. I was toying with a 4 but I think it’s good enough to get a 5, but only just for me. Cover Me gave me a chuckle.
I really liked this. Loved it in Billy Elliot. Life’s a Gas was a perfect penultimate song and Rip Off brought it all together. Get it On was almost too good everything after felt lesser but I still loved it all. If The Boss got 5 then this masterpiece deserves 5 too
Good stuff. Dragged a tiny bit at times but still felt like all bangers no filler
This is why I started doing this! I would have never thought to listen to M.I.A. if it wasn’t for this list and I’m absolutely vibing it. Such a different sound for me and I’m loving it. I knew Paper Planes and I think Boyz too but it’s all such a good sound and beat.
I didn’t like this. Then I did. I don’t know, it was alright I suppose but it just didn’t appeal to me even if there are a few great tracks on here.
I tried but this was just a dredge to get through. I didn’t completely hate it but I wasn’t far away
This wasn’t for me really, some interesting stuff but most of it passed me by. I liked the way they talked about the police, I was less keen with how they talked about women. That being said I liked the sound of I Ain’t the 1 and the lyrics were clever and flowed well but it just left me with an icky feeling.
Relly enjoyed this. I read to approach it as 2 different albums released at the same time so that's what I tried to do and while both halfs were great by themselves they also worked well together. Was a bit daunted by the length (that's what she said) but it wasn't bad at all
I really enjoyed this as a first impression. It feels like an album that the more I listen to it the more I’ll appreciate it. Loved the beat of Take Me With You When You Go, gave me Take Five vibes which I feel was intentional
I spent this whole album being unsure how I felt about it. I could definitely tell it wasn't bad but it just felt a bit cliché at times like there was something just slightly off about it that I couldn't put my finger on. I do really like Sultans of Swing though, that song is great. The rest was fine for background noise but it left me feeling kind of empty.
Smooth Operator is a really enjoyable song but also completely forgettable. Same with the rest of this album. It just didn’t feel really special or interesting.
Just some really enjoyable stuff. Great vibe with a cool drink in the sun.
This did absolutely nothing for me
Some bangers but not enough between them.
Banger of an Album.
2 good songs surrounded by okay songs
It’s punk rock but it’s not totally terrible. A few bits annoyed me but there where a few bits I found interesting.
Really enjoyed this. Slightly too long but there's some really interesting stuff on this, if he'd cut out a few songs it would have been perfect for me.
I started off liking it than I got a bit bored but I didn’t hate it. Would listen again.
I state off finding it interesting but it didn’t go anywhere for me which is a shame
I just love the motherfucker. Miles, Cannonball, Trane, and Bill Evans are some of my favourite jazz musicians and they come together so perfectly here. Just perfect.
Really enjoyed this. Was toying with a 5 but the last track killed it for me. Not The Beach Boys at there best but damn close.
Good album. Always loved Al Green.
Taylor Swift is my L’il Sebastian. Blank Space, Shake it Off, I Wish You Would and Bad Blood are all good enough songs. I don’t mind a wingy album or a relationship/love album but when you mix them both together I get tired and just start thinking, “Hey, you’re the common denominator here, maybe explore that?” And the album never does. On a funny note, in Clean Taylor sings about a “Wine-stained dress”. I heard “Winestein-ed dress” which would have made for an interesting song.
What a lovely departure from 1989. Beautiful lyricism that’s both complex and simple. Just a joy. With a few more listens it may be a perfect 5 but for now
Lots of enjoyable stuff but too varied to thoroughly enjoy for me. Also it all felt a bit basic for the genres and styles it was doing
Great album, banging tracks. Just a joy whenever I listen to it
I like Bowie but this just didn’t do a lot for me. I’m sure I’m missing something but I just wasn’t massively impressed
Liked this a lot more than I thought I would. If I ever go through a breakup again I’ll have to add this to the circulation.
Just really enjoyable and something a bit different
Just kind of middle of the road. Not bad but forgettable
I just really enjoyed this, gave me similar vibes to George Michael who’s a babe
Short and sweet songs and album. Aggressive without being aggressive which I quite like. Never purposely listened to The Ramones but I’ve heard a load of their songs by living in the world. The 50/60s pop influence works really well for me.
This just didn't leave much of an impression on me. That being said I really liked Pale Blue Eyes, pure banger.
I liked it. 3.5
Just weird enough for me. Loved the ee cummings poem. Some bits felt too off the wall for me but I just enjoyed the journey.
Frontier Psychiatrist was enjoyable. The rest bored me.
The specials are like a bit shit, but in a good way? Like they’re just having a good time and vibing it. If I thought for one moment they took themselves seriously this would be a 1 star album.
I got more into it as the album went on. Varied enough that it kept me interested.
Van Halen is talented but it feels like he’s constantly at 10 the entire time and the lack of dynamic changes makes me feel it’s unearned almost? Really loved Ice Cream Man, but for 5 seconds of guitar solo at 1:47 it would have been a perfect song
I like Radiohead. This sounds like classic Radiohead but there’s nothing that felt like exceptional Radiohead
I only knew The Zutons as the guys who originally did Valerie. This is just a great sound I’d listen to again and again. Just perfect at what it’s doing
Like the album, didn’t love it but then I heard the final track, Donimo and if the rest of the album had been on the level of that song I would have loved it. Instead it was just fine
I just love this album. Give me this album, a sunny day and a cocktail or two and I’m happy.
I found it interesting enough, the cover of America wasn't bad but it didn't hold a candle to the original. Didn't hate it, didn't love it, less Yes and more Meh
Some ups, some downs, but mostly in the middle
That 31 minutes dragged. Elvis seemed to have done like 5 good songs and then recycled them for his whole career.
Really enjoyed this. With a few more listens it may become a 5 but it’s not quite there
It’s a vibe and if I was hot and sweaty and drunk at a festival or something I would really vibe this. Instead I’m hot and sweaty and sober at home so I mostly liked it
A bit too dad rock for me usually but I enjoyed some of this. It felt like a live album which is what i need from a live album. Really enjoyed Child in Time. I’ve never heard a good drum solo apart from Buddy Rich and the drum solo in The Mule was no exception, unimpressive, self indulgent and looooong. There was one bit of Space Truckin I liked but the other 18 1/2 minutes of that song, as well as everything else after The Mule was self indulgent and boring which sucks because the first 3 tracks peaked my interest.
People listen to Coldplay and voted for the nazis, you can’t trust people. Didn’t hate it, well produced but it didn’t exactly grab me. Just a little beige.
I can see why people would like this but it did very little for me. Just a bit middle of the road although it's well produced.
I didn't hate this as much as I thought I would. Although Fucking in Heaven was Fucking shit. The Rockafeller Skank gave me FIFA 99 Flashbacks which was fun even if the song annoyed me. Praise You is great.
Bat Out of Hell is an incredible opening to an album. The Intro to You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth was cringe as anything but the song itself was alright I didn't mind Heaven Can Wait or All Revved Up with No Place to Go but they didn't grab me. I don't actually think I've ever heard Two Out of Three Ain't Bad before listening to this album which is incredible because I reference it rather a lot. I really liked it, a little cheesy but I'll allow it. Paradise By the Dashboard Lights was mostly great, the woman's lyrics in the Let Me Sleep On It section felt a bit ham-fisted but I guess the juxtaposition and the fact it took me out of it kind of worked maybe? Don't know if that's what they were going for though. Weak ending. When that orchestra kicked in in For Crying Out Loud I digged it a lot. Wagnerian rock is a perfect description of this album, I'll give Steinman that, although I doubt Wagner would have been a fan of Steinman with a surname like that. Its a 3 but a high one
I liked the first 3 songs, then the next 3 weren’t great, then everything after that was middle of the road apart from Molly’s Chambers which I quite liked.
I really liked this album, wasn't expecting to as much as I did but that's what this journey is all about. Nightswimming hit differently listening to it this time.
Actually liked the opening track. Hated the rest.
The whole album sucked apart from the last song which was an absolute joy to listen to.
Surprised how much I liked this. Started really strong and petered out a bit but enjoyable!
This did nothing for me at all. Extremely forgettable which is in stark contrast to the REM album I had a couple of days ago.
I started off really liking this, there was a lot more musicality than I thought there was going to be and it felt like all the samples were elevated and used thoughtfully instead of just being a reference to that song you know. That being said it did drag a bit and lost me in the middle. Some bits I really loved but maybe it was just a little long. I liked it a lot more than I thought I would but I didn’t love it.
I was expecting a lot more and it just didn’t go there for me.
Meh. Even Guitar Hero 3 nostalgia couldn’t save this album.
Just not for me
I, like Cady Haron, love Ladysmith Black Mambazo. I listened to this in optimal conditions, a pleasant sunny summers evening. Even then it didn’t hit the heights I was hoping for. I still loved it though, the walking baseline in How Long? Was cool and I liked Rain, Rain, Beautiful Rain.
I used to think Punk was pretty bad, then I heard Post Punk. Spoilt Victorian Children was weird.
I didn’t hate it. Some good tracks but didn’t blow me away. Wasn’t a fan of Bullet The Blue Sky.
This was just really good. I love how many female artists I’ve discovered doing this who are bloody brilliant.
I expected to hate this. Instead it kinda just passed me by. Long but fine.
When this came out I thought I was too cool for mainstream music so didn’t listen to much of Arctic Monkeys but every song of there’s I heard was a banger so I don’t really know what I was thinking. This album is phenomenal though. Proper hypes me up, want to get drunk and rowdy with this as the soundtrack.
All Hope is Gone Indeed.
Well produced, some interesting stuff, but it wasn’t for me.
What a weird album. But it’s weirder how much I liked it.
It was alright, didn’t hate anything or love anything massively. Wouldn’t turn off but wouldn’t choose to put on. It gave me Faces vibes
Really enjoyed Strange Feeling, the All Blues riff was cool and yeah. Gypsy Woman was too long but I didn’t hate it despite that which is odd. Different enough to be interesting, didn’t love it as much as Jeff but I was impressed.
I liked Shine a Light, the rest kind of bored me
Listened through this a few times and it was good shit mon. I'd heard a few of the tracks before obviously but all the other ones were equally as good. Just an all-round blast of an album. Perfect length too. The Title track was a banger.
I don’t know what these guys believe and honestly I don’t think they do either. They’re just provocative which I guess is a choice. Quite liked it, Geburt Einer Nation is better than One Vision, fight me. I guess I kinda like Industrial? It’s provocative, it gets the people going.
I feel like I’m supposed to like Nick Cave but I just don’t. Dudes trying too hard.
Not a bad song on the album. I liked My Doorbell, Little Ghost, Take, Take, Take and I’m lonely (But I ain’t that lonely yet). Take, Take, Take seemed like a fun commentary on parasocial interactions. I’m lonely was just a fantastic way to end the album. It really built and hit hard, even teared up a bit.
Definitely feel this album had a lot more going on than I got in one listen but I still really loved it. It feels like one of those albums that if I listened to more would be a 5 star but for now it’s a high 4.
Something completely different to most other things on this list. Super enjoyable to listen to while eating my breakfast and staring out the window at the world going by
This is the third REM album I’ve listened to on this list. First one (Automatic For The People) thought was brilliant, the second (Murmur) did nothing for me and was very forgettable. This is more a murmur album. I do quite like The zone I love though.
Alone Again Or is an incredible song and I love it so much. The rest of the album was fine.
I just didn’t get much out of this at all. It wasn’t bad I just didn’t get what I was supposed to enjoy about it.
Hopelessly Hoping is slowly becoming a favourite song of mine, beautiful harmonies and a beautiful song. Apart from that the album was solid but it didn't grab me.
Exceptionally mid. Chris hit the nail on the head saying it was too boring to be worthy of a 1.
I just didn’t get this. Maybe I’m amazed was a highlight and bloody brilliant but the rest left no impression for me. It wasn’t bad, just uninspiring. Was missing a bit of Laine I think.
Love the Bauhaus Movement, some great art and design came out of it, it’s my vibe. Bauhaus the band though? I didn’t hate it, it felt like they were doing something interesting but I didn’t love it.
It was good and if I liked ZZ Top I’d bloody love it but they just don’t gel with me as much as I with they did.
Like others have said, the bangers are bangers. I thought the lesser known tracks would be worse. Apart from Rolling in the Deep then album started off weak for me but everything from Set Fire to the rain onwards was descent.
There's something interesting about this I guess but in a bit of a dull way. I'm happy for Syd that he managed to make his art but I don't love it. It's kind of awkward that the best bit of art related to him is Wish You Were Here which he had nothing to do with apart from being missed.
Solid 4. Would listen again
Top 3 Bowie Album for me. Just class. But maybe I’m biased, I just love young Americans.
As a major public figure, it pays to be vigilant around suspect packages. This comes from personal experience. When North Norfolk Digital was sent a box of heavy metal CDs, muggins here was about to open it when fellow DJ Rudy Gibson shouted over, ‘Careful, Alan. That contains anthrax.’ I looked at him, scarcely able to believe what he was suggesting. But he continued in more emphatic tones: ‘The box of heavy metal CDs, Alan. Contains anthrax. You understand? Anthrax?’ I ran to the boot of my car, pulling off my jumper and shirt, and then stood at my boot, slathering and rubbing my hands and face, chest and neck with handfuls of Swarfega. My colleagues watched from the upstairs windows, checking I was OK. Of course, I quickly realised that Gibson had been joking and that Anthrax was the name of a heavy metal band or singer whose CD might have been in the box. I looked up at the window and waved and laughed and dressed and mused on how fantastic it was to have colleagues who could share practical jokes like this. Sure enough, I got into the spirit and played a practical joke on Gibson by getting my assistant to phone him during one of his shows to tell him his elderly mother had had a fall. He was all over the place! But still, I think twice about opening strange packages. It was alright, better than I expected.
Do you compute?? Do you want to fuck off? Golden Brown, texture like shite Luau? Lu ow my ears are bleeding from this shit music. (Actually this song was just a little bad to it’s credit) What the fuck was the start of Super Union trying to achieve apart from annoying the listeners parents who can hear this album being blasted from their angsty son’s bedroom. New Intro was fairly pleasant but that was maybe just in comparison to everything before. The third worst version of New Math(s) I’ve heard (Lehrer, Burnham, these dweebs) Human Interest was fine, I was fairly neutral to it. Yeah just not that good music really. The only Yank Crime I care about is when those Massholes dumped a load of perfectly good tea in Boston Harbour.
I like funk and this was good but it didn’t hit me in the soul like I want from funk. Well produced but felt a little heartless which was sad for me
It wasn’t unpleasant but it wasn’t inspiring
Third 2 star album, maybe it’s just me at this point. There’s a reason most albums released are studio albums, live albums are unpolished and a bit shite. But I think unpolished is what these guys are going for which I honestly don’t hate. It’s better than your average live albums but it ain’t great
Maybe I’m being generous but I just love jazz. Haven’t listened to enough Monk before this.
I only knew Beck as the head from Futurama before this. Becks throwing a load of shit at the wall with this album and it almost all sticks for me. Love the use of sampling in this which I don’t always. Just really enjoyable for me, will have to listen to more Beck
Perfectly mid album. Some things I liked, some things I didn’t but it was a fun listen mostly.
1 listen, gut reaction, 5 stars.
Perfect Day is a perfect song for me, I just love it. Everything up to Wagon Wheel was perfect (maybe not Make Up but it was weird in a way I liked) I really didn't like New York Telephone Conversation but the rest was really solid. Maybe it should be a 5 but I can't bring myself to for some reason, even if it has 2 perfect songs on the album.
Nothing I didn’t like about this. Just flowed perfectly. I don’t absolutely love it but it feels like a near perfect album.
The less I paid attention the more I liked it.
Meh
Well this was just bad. I can’t stand Nu Metal, it seems to have very little musicality, and this album has almost none. All Nu Metal sounds like satire of itself to me. If I made music this bad I’d kill myself.
I just love this style of music. 4 star. No notes
I thought the all lowercase song title was a modern stylistic choice. Turns out these guys were doing it in the early 90s. It makes me irrationally angry, it feels like a choice to be different for the sake of being different. If I’m wrong I’m sorry but you’re no E E Cummings. Probably would have been a 2 star but the lowercase left such a bitter taste in my mouth.
This just isn't for me. It's not bad at all but I finished listening to it and honestly can't remember any of it, even the songs I already knew.
Interesting enough. Slightly more interesting than conventional rock but also less fun.
I really vibed this. Don’t know why, it just did it for me.
Steely Dan is the best of dad rock. Just great quality and enjoyable.
Surprisingly solid
It was pretty good
New Wave is just one of those genres I’m indifferent to. Sometimes I’m enjoying it, other times I’m indifferent to it. I never hate it though. This is solid New Wave
I feel dad rock falls on a spectrum of if a dad were to be driving me somewhere and he played this band do I think we’ll have a good chat or will he say stuff that was acceptable in the 70s but isn’t so much nowadays. This falls into the latter but it’s still solid music. It’s dumb and load but it does that well.
It was pleasant enough but didn’t blow me away. I imagine if you don’t like jazz it was not so enjoyable
People like U2 and that’s absolutely fine. I just don’t really care for them and I hope that’s fine too. Some nice enough songs but it just didn’t grab me. Honestly, if I’m going to listen to Bono I’ll stick on I’ve Got You Babe.
I didn’t know what to expect, I really enjoyed the vibe. Felt unique enough
Oasis are alright but there's no way this is a great album? Surely they just have a few bangers and that's it? How wrong I was, banger of an album. I was tempted to dock them a star for being City supporters but it's too good to do that.
Solid fine album. Didn’t pay too much attention but I enjoyed the bits I did tune into
Live albums rarely do it for me. It’s so difficult to capture that gig vibe and this is no exception. That being said it is Thin Lizzy so it’s pretty good. They’re one of the bands I listen to and hear Chris singing along to in my head. Not a bad thing, just an observation.
I actually read the lyrics along whilst listening to this, definitely made it a more enjoyable listening experience being aware what they were rapping about. Yeah, I don't dislike Public Enemy, they seem a little angry but if I was singing about 400 years of racial injustice and oppression I'd be pretty pissed off too.
I have to say it's a real tragady that this is the only foray into Ornette Coleman on this list, The Shape of Jazz to Come definitely feels more deserving of a place on this list than some of the dad rock I've had to slog through. Never heard of John Zorn before but I love that he deliberately resists category and that can definitely be heard in this album. According to Wikipedia the album approaches “free” jazz from the perspective of hardcore punk, particularly taking note of the contemporary innovations of thrashcore and grindcore. I don't fully know what that means but it makes something super interesting to listen to. It's loud, it's chaotic and I love it. Also, two drummers? That's insane in the best way.
Just a bit bored by it. They seemed to be exploring loads of different music but it was all so surface level to me that it never did anything interesting
It was fine. Although I spent the whole album thinking I’d rather be listening to Pet Sounds
It’s the Beatles so it’s good but every cover just made me want to listen to a better version.
Pretty good album for something that feels very 80s. Shout is a banger and Everybody Wants To Rule The World is too but I don’t like it as much. The rest didn’t do much for me, just felt a bit weird but not weird enough to be interesting.
I felt like thrash metal might be my mood yesterday. It was okay. A about Mengele and the holocaust for shock value didn’t sit right with me. You can say it’s to educate and inform but I don’t believe you, you just want to be an edgy boy.
Man that intro just hooks me straight away. Nothing bad to say. Love soul, love good social commentary, just love love love.
I didn’t hate it, it was nice while I was doing a jigsaw. Maybe not what Mr Tortoise was aiming for but I’ll add it to my jigsaw rotation
It was fine. Smoke on the Water isn’t even that good a song
I really liked it. Listened to it while shooting Lamonye Raiders and getting killed by an alligator. Would recommend.
The bits I liked the most were the bits that didn’t feature 39 pence
I liked it, not as Much as his other album with the cool looking dog but it was fun. Turns out Beck is more than just a head in a jar
I like this Gaye guy, he’s pretty good.
Really enjoyed it surprisingly as all the other Iggy and Stooges stuff I’ve heard I hated. Trailed off a bit at the end but solid.
I think I left my wallet in the club. I really like this, it’s different and a vibe and I can tell the guys enjoying himself. Really enjoyed Tokyo and the collabs with K Dot and Wiz Khalifa but the whole album was really fun. I was going to see Thundercat play a gig but couldn’t for some reason, would like to at some point after this.
3 months ago I worked on a Blondie tribute act and was quietly optimistic. I know some of their songs (Blondie is the name of the band, not the singer, something I learnt working that night!) and they’re pretty good. I finished the gig and was blown away by how much I enjoyed it. Now onto this album. All good shit, 5 stars!
No notes, perfect album.
