Reviews (page 5 of 15)

It's the Beatles

A Masterpiece perfect album and it’s not even my favourite Beatles album songs on here that will last forever they are all at there best

I've been conflicted on this. I initially wanted to give it four stars, because Maxwell's Silver Hammer and Octopus' Garden are misfires and the back half of the album is definitely weaker than the first. But then I thought about the overall quality of the thing. Come Together, Something, Here Comes the Sun? And Oh Darling, I Want You, Carry That Weight? I've given out five star ratings for less since I started doing this. I think my initial instinct was to hold Abbey Road to a higher standard than the other records on this list, because it's The Beatles and because it's - according to the users of this site - the greatest of all time. But that isn't particularly fair. It probably isn't my favourite Beatles album, and it certainly isn't my favourite album on this list, but the songwriting here is frequently incredible and it is pretty stacked with excellent pop songs. Sometimes all time great ones. Five stars it is.

The best

I can not count the number of times I have listened to this album. I was raised on the Beatles and my favorite songs have evolved as I age. An Octipus's Garden and Maxwell's Silver Hammer were childhood favorites, while as an adult I have fallen in love with Carry that Weight and Goodbye. I would say the hardest part is picking your favorite. I am tempted to stop at this album for a few weeks and just consume it.

Greatest album of all time. You never give me no money has been my favourite song as long as i cam remember, it is constantly changing, never repeating. Its the perfect break between the two starkly different halves of the album.

I went into Abbey Road thinking I’d be clever and dock it a star because, honestly, the Beatles get enough praise to fill the Albert Hall twice over. But turns out… they earned it. I grew up on the Red and Blue compilations, so I never clocked how many absolute bangers were packed into this one album. The remastered mix (or maybe just my ears finally catching up) made the bass pop and all those little background flourishes (synths, harmonies, THAT baseline one Cone Together) shine without ever feeling cluttered. It’s gold all the way through: massive in scope, weirdly intimate, and still somehow cooler than it has any right to be.

I think in a lot of ways, the Beatles get by on this site on account of ... being the Beatles. I saw that this album had recently climbed to the #1 best-reviewed album on this entire project and was sort of bummed out. It felt so... predictable. And I wasn't blown away by some of their other albums like I had expected to be. Nope. This is just a fantastic album. One of the best side effects of this project is the number of times I've listened to a "classic" album straight through for the first time and thought, "so THAT is what all the fuss is about"

It's pretty much perfect but they didn't make any bad albums

Iconic and so very listenable still. Some of top tunes here - id give it 5 just for Something and Here Comes the Sun

Another album that doesn’t really need a review. Personally prefer Revolver, which I feel is more influential and interesting. That sad there is not a bad song on here, with some genuinely perfect songs (Something and Here Comes the Sun in particular). The first side is just filled with huge songs and the medley is amazing. Some of the songs are like 60-90 seconds yet feel like fully fledged songs. All of the Fab Four contribute and the culmination of the guitar solos from George, Paul and John with a Ringo drum solo in the End is masterful. Overhyped? I think so but it’s still one of the greatest albums ever made.

Incredibly had this on for first time in forever the day before we got it. Still listened to it again. Top tier

pretty good

superbe

An essential album for any music fan. It is one of the greatest albums, works of art, collaborative piece that has ever been made by mankind. A monumental achievement in every sense. Absolutely fantastic from start to finish.

Absolute classic. An epic farewell. Fav song: Sun King

This album is so good. I "inherited" my mom's mono vinyl and spent *hours* in the basement as a kid listening to this. It's a true classic and an album that plays so well as an *album*. Mean Mr Mustard -> Polythene Pam -> She Came In Through The Bathroom Window? *chefs kiss*

Takes me back to my first CD listening experiences. I listened to this album so much, and relistening now and listening in HI-FI headphones, I can't believe how good it is. Second half is probably my favourite — the way the tracks flow together—I always loved the Mean Mr. Mustard + Polythene Pam combo, but really Golden Slumbers + Carry that weight might be my fav combo.

Yeah my favourite Beatles album. Enough said!

Es Abbey Road. Ni qué decir. Cinco estrellas que se quedan cortas.

A classic is a classic is a classic. These songs are so ubiquitous that it's hard to imagine someone actually wrote them and they were one released as an album, just like any other. But it's important to remember this, what an achievement.

Top 5 greatest album ever recorded

Nothing more needs to be said.

This is the greatest album ever pressed into vinyl! The second side is epic. It is a fitting tribute to one of the greatest bands of all time, if not THE greatest band of all time. Sadly it was their last, but it was so good. An album for any occasion with massive hits.

And in the end….

I'm not sure what critics say is the best Beatles album, but this is definitely my personal favorite Beatles album. Not a track on here I feel compelled to skip and there is a window into a Beatles blues rock/pop album that I wish would have been made. Definitely my favorite album of the 20 or so albums I've listened to in this project thus far.

What to say about a masterpiece?... That this album is perfect! Everything on it works perfectly, so well linked and with so many flavors. It's one of the greatest albums ever made. That's it. And no one can make me think differently. It's perfect.

In the past ten days, I’ve gotten to review Thriller and Nevermind, and now Abbey Road. I was thinking that it would be cool if any of those albums would wind up being my final album to review, but here they are, all within fairly quick succession. However, this will be my final Beatles to review. Looking at the track list, I only know a few of these songs. I like The Beatles, but in a weird way, I feel a lot of pressure to really love Abbey Road, and I think a lot of that stems from the fact that I didn’t really love The White Album. I’m excited to listen to this though, and to close the book on The Beatles’ discography on this list. Abbey Road isn’t going to wind up as my favorite Beatles album, but it’s going to be at least top three. I know that Let It Be was their last release, but since this was their last recording, I’m going to say this was a fantastic way for these gents to go out. I loved that this was a much more straightforward rock album. Yes, “Maxwell’s Silver Hammer” and “Octopus’s Garden” are whimsical and odd, but only lyrically. Every song on this album is really beautiful, and for an album that’s more straightforward and traditional in its sound, you get quite a bit of variety in the sound. Folk, blues, country, and pop all make an impression on the sound of this album, and each influence is used just the right amount. Some notes on individual songs: I went into this album with a hatred for “Come Together.” I had a strong dislike for the vocals and lyrics (I still don’t care for either one of those elements, but I certainly didn’t hate them on this listen), but the music here is amazing. This is one of the best bass lines I think I’ve ever heard. On top of that, the Rhodes piano contrasts with the bass really well, and I like the minimal lead and rhythm guitar. What an awesome rock sound. The chorus on "Something" is outstanding; I love the string arrangement so much. I think I've only ever heard the opening of this song before today, so I was really taken aback by the beauty in the sound. That increase in intensity halfway through was really unexpected, but it worked so well. "Oh! Darling" is fantastic. I loved the bluesy rock sound. The piano and drumming are fantastic. "Octopus's Garden" is weird lyrically, but musically, it's really quite down to earth and accessible. I loved the twang to the sound, and the main guitar riff is excellent. The piano is outstanding too; it’s got a ragtime sound to it that really elevates the whimsy of the lyrics. "I Want You" is excellent. Another song with some blues, and I love how the guitar sings along with the vocals. "Here Comes the Sun" is one of my favorite Beatles songs. It's just so much fun. The strings are great, and it’s a blast to sing along to. The bridge is amazing, and I loved the little bird whistling sounds. I loved the synthesizer on “Because.” It’s a bit out there in terms of its sound, but it’s also really grounded and accessible. "Sun King" is excellent. I loved how gentle the overall sound was, and it was a perfect way to go into the medley of the last seven songs. The medley is an outstanding closer to Abbey Road. I love how beautiful each song is, and even though the tracks are short, nothing felt rushed. “She Came In Through the Bathroom Window” and “Carry That Weight” were the best parts. I hate to be sappy and sentimental, but the closing of “The End” really hit me like a ton of bricks: ‘And in the end, The love you take, Is equal to the love you make.’ What an outstanding way to end an incredible album, and to essentially end The Beatles. I really enjoyed listening to Abbey Road, and it’s an album I will undoubtedly listen to again.

Classic Beatles album

Always excellent!

Of course a classic. Not my favorite Beatles album but it's undeniably great.

one of the best ever obv

How would we ever make it through this dingy life without the Beatles? It would really suck, my friends.

Best album ever. Feels impossible to say anything new/worthwhile about this. 22nd perfect album, 793 albums in. Rating: 5.0

Certified classic

classic

Favorites (nearly the whole album): Come Together Something Maxwell's Silver Hammer (only because there are creepy lyrics in very jolly tones) Octopus's Garden Here Comes The Sun You Never Give Me Your Money Sun King (cicada's sounds!) She Came In Through The Bathroom Window Golden Slumbers Carry That Weight The End Her Majesty The album of zany characters and natural loves. It feels like the quintessential Beatles (before the split). Definitely iconic.

I'm not sure if Abbey Road needs another positive review. But here it is: Abbey Road shows the Beatles at their best, with great songs (“Come Together,” “Octopus's Garden,” “Here Comes the Sun”) and their distinctive humor (“Polythene Pam,” “She Came in Through the Bathroom Window”). Undoubtedly a must-have.

There is reasons this is often held up as the standard

Yeah dude. These cunts are pretty good. Coming in bathroom windows and over everything else. Abby’s choad is great record

Super fan de este disco, mi disco favorito.

Possibly the best Beatles record of them all. The entire second side is maybe the best side of a record that has ever been produced. Every member really gets a chance to shine on this album.

Que des bangers, je change et danse tout du long 👌

Incredible album, almost didnt get a 5 because of Octopus's Gardem sorry not sorry Ringo.

honestly the only beatles album I really get the hype for. this one is pretty masterfully done, if only they did more like this.

I don't know if it was due to the platform I was streaming on, but the transitions on some of the songs were very good. Good Songs: Come Together, Her Majesty, Something, Maxwell's Silver Hammer, Oh Darling!, Octopus's Garden, I Want You (She's So Heavy), Here Comes The Sun, Because, You Never Give Me Your Money, Mean Mr. Mustard, Polythene Pam, She Came In Through the Bathroom Window, Golden Slumbers, Carry That Weight, The End Mid Songs: Sun King Bad Songs: None

I don't think I can say anything that hasn't already been said. Is this the best Beatles album? Probably, although I think I like the White album more. Is this the best album of all time? Maybe? The medley doesn't quite work for me, but the rest of the album is flawless. I think it's the best I've heard so far, but I still have 900+ albums to go.

i like the beatles not because they’re a stupid classic, but because it’s just an awesome fucking record and they’re the most influential band in the history

Beautiful

One of the best albums of all time

Easily my favorite Beatles album.

“Abbey Road” was released **only** 6 1/2 years after the Beatles’ first album “Please Please Me.” Listen to these two bookends to quickly confirm the greatness that was - and IS - the Beatles. How did they get from there to here? How did they invent, reinvent, and reinvent themselves and the culture of music so dramatically and so successfully over such a short span of time?? Their nine studio albums are all remarkable achievements, and for so many different reasons.
Abbey Road is not their most innovative: that would arguably be “Revolver” or “Sgt Pepper.” But Abbey Road probably ties with “Revolver,” and maybe the White Album, as the album that best showcases the INDIVIDUAL talents of each Beatle. George has 2-3 excellent offerings on each album. And of course Paul, John. What about Ringo? Arguably his best. I’m basing that on the percussion in “Come Together,””Something,” and his contributions to “The End.” And. If this album just feels too familiar, let your ears focus on something new. Pay attention, for example, to the percussion or bass line. There is always something hidden to enjoy. How did they do it? Even the playful guitar work in the left speaker of “Octopus’s Garden” makes a kids’ song or a drug song (hard to tell them apart in the 60s) into something newly engaging.
Oh, and what about “Maxwell’s Silver Hammer.” Well, where would Warren Zevon’s “Excitable Boy” be without this song? Truthfully, I don’t know how to judge the song fairly since I’ve listened to this album with growing enjoyment for 45 years of my life…. but if nothing else, it showcases how the Beatles can pull off even something goofy and creepy and troublesome all at once. 500/5

In the final moments of their existence, as it was ending, The Beatles find a way to move the bar forward. In the wake of the monumental implosion during the Get Back sessions, the Beatles return to Abbey Road with George Martin to truly get back to what the Beatles do best, make great albums. George turns out two fantastic songs, and John and Paul battle it out with an amazing tour de force 2nd side culminating in the easily prophetic and appropriate guitar solo battle royal that punctuates the end of the most accomplished run in rock & roll history. Each member’s prominent gifts on glorious display as the curtain comes down. It is a remarkable achievement. To miss it, or to rate this less than a five star album is a reflection of one’s lack of comprehension of the meteoric trajectory of the Beatles and how they were brilliant from beginning to end. Bravo lads! The best 6 and half years of music ever!

I sure do love this album. Is it the most popular album of all time? Idk maybe, probably close to it. Every other track is an iconic song.

Great album. A classic by all regards. The ultimate state of flow in songwriting with the Sun King medley.

You can almost never go wrong with!

Such creativity in the compositions, and it sounds like they had a of fun.

perfecto

Just doesn't get better than this...

Not the best band of all time, not the best album of all time, but very good still

Lovely piece of work

Its an iconic album for a reason. I love the Beatles always have always will and these songs are historic and deserve their title

England was quizzical, in matters physical they were in their prime Surely this would be their time to shiii- i-i-ine Gareth their manager, majoring in mediocrity tells them not to attack Cos in football you never give the ball a whack-ack-ack-ack But as you’re expecting Bellingham to score, Southgate undelivers us once more Bang bang Southgate’s boring game plan came apart once again Bang bang Southgate’s boring game plan wasted another generation of men

Lo avevo già sentito, bomba assoluta. Nella prima parte sono presenti solo hit ascoltate ancora oggi, nella seconda invece c'è più spazio per la sperimentazione. La mia preferita rimane Carry that weight. Ho notato anche che le transizioni tra un pezzo e l'altro sono fatte di cristo

Seriously?!? Is there any question here? Anyone giving this less than 4 stars can really just shut the fuck up.

Timeless. Not much more needs to be said.

Classic.

Absolutely classic. Duh. (And I love Silly!Paul, so I even love Maxwell's Silver Hammer. You go with that anvil, Mal Evans.)

Almost as good as the Best of the Beatles.

Not in my top 3 Beatles albums but still a comfortable 5

I'm not 100% sure it's my favourite Beatles album but it's very close

Den kender jeg. Helt klart klassiker.

It's a cliche but I love the Beatles. This is an album of 2 halves and I enjoyed both. Come Together, Something and Here Comes The Sun get 5 stars just for them.

Easy 5 stars

No brainer

Awesome Love waxwells silver hammer.

First time listening to it, I didn’t really jive with this album. As far as Beatles projects go, Rubber Soul is probably favorite. That said, Abbey Road has gotten better every time I re-listen to it.

Superb album. One of my all time favourites.

This is a big one, yet I've only heard the singles prior to today. The penultimate Beatles album and technically the last album recorded by the group, "Abbey Road" saw the Beatles go back to their old production process, allowing longtime producer George Martin to have more of a fingerprint here. Per usual, each member has at least one of their own songs, with Lennon & McCartney taking up most of the efforts. But I think Harrison's efforts shine the most here ("Something", "Here Comes the Sun"). The whole medley that essentially ends side two also reminded me a bit of "older" Beatles works, with their short and quirky nature and the fact that the entire group is able to showcase their instrumental abilities throughout. I don't know if this is my "favorite" Beatles album, but it was expertly produced and captured the group's last "hurrah" well. No overproduction or bravado, just the Beatles doing what they do best.

The album that showed me the Beatles were “I want to hold your hand.” Yeah you won’t find too many “hits” off this but it’s a perfect album.

Hey these guys are pretty good

Not a skip in sight. I love the consistent inclusion of the "ooooo!"s in oh darling

Great album, of course have listened to it dozens or hundreds or times.

Just a 5. For obvious reasons. 5!!

Absolute peak. Really iconic album with a very consistent tracklist without a dull moment. Especially the medley is great 9/10 Favourite: I Want You (She's So Heavy( Least Favourite: None

01) Come Together - 10,0 02) Something - 10,0 03) Maxwell's Silver Hammer - 8,5 04) Oh! Darling - 10,0 05) Octopus's Garden - 9,5 06) I Want You (She's So Heavy) - 9,5 07) Here Comes the Sun - 10,0 08) Because - 8,5 09) You Never Give Me Your Money - 8,5 10) Sun King - 9,0 11) Mean Mr. Mustard - 8,5 12) Polythene Pam - 9,5 13) She Came In Through the Bathroom Window 9,5 14) Golden Slumbers - 10,0 15) Carry That Weight - 9,5 16) The End - 9,0 17) Her Majesty - / TOTAL: 9,34 (93/100)

What can I say about Abbey Road? It's one of the Beatles finest albums. It's filled with some of the best music they ever recorded and also Maxwell's Silver Hammer is there. Joking aside, the B side medley is legendary and created a high that many, including the beatles themselves I later post breakups solo albums couldn't hit again.

Absolutely one of the most perfect albums of all time. I just about know every second of it by heart. Listen Zoe, I know you’re not a fellow Beatles girlie, I know you hardly know your George from your Ringo, I know their films aren’t your ‘comfort watches’ that you basically put on any time you’re sick, I know you haven’t read a billion biographies about each member (and even more deeply researched speculative articles about who was in love with each other when), you’ve never had pictures of them on your walls, or cried seeing Paul live or anything, but by god I hope you can recognise how good this is! So much variety is at play, letting each Beatle shine on his own songs as well as together, through silly moments (for example, the lore is that everyone bloody hated Maxwell’s Silver Hammer but Paul was obsessed with it and insisted on including it anyway) and serious (I mean, Something alone has gotta be some of the most beautiful music ever recorded). That end run of Golden Slumbers into Carry That Weight into The End is an unbelievable masterpiece to me, I could listen to the way it flows forever! Delicious. And even the previous run from Sun King to She Came In too! I love the linkages and the little bits of story that kind of get reprised here and there. Like I said, I just think this is a perfect album and I never get sick of it.

I always say I don’t like The Beatles to annoy my husband as it gets him really riled up. Abbey Road is undoubtedly a great album, full of hits that everyone loves and lesser listened to songs that are still great. I don’t really hear any filler songs and and there is such a mix of sounds, styles and subjects.

It is peak, I guess

Best Song: Something This is tied with Fleetwood Mac as the highest rated album on the 1001. Will I go against that grain? Of course not. This album is as close to perfect as you can get, especially for the time. The production, experimentation, song writing, just everything is fantastic. 5/5.

In my opinion, this is better than Revolver, better than Sgt. Pepper's (although it's close), and better than the White Album. Peak Beatles.

An all time fave ever since I was 15 or 16.

The whole album is great, but Something might just be the greatest love song ever written. Come Together is a cool start, Octopus's Garden doesn't deserve the hate it gets, I Want You (She's So Heavy) rocks harder than it should, Here Comes The Sun always cheers me up, Because is an interesting trance of a song, fantastic album. The difference between this and a lot of other experimental songs/albums is that underneath the experimental stuff, the Beatles still wrote great songs. A lot of experimental albums try stuff just to try stuff without having good songs to go with it.

Oh this is my all time favorite Beatles album! It has so many songs that made .y childhood and made me love the Beatles! This is a classic album from start to finish!

I have always been a Beatles fan (born and raised!) but I haven't listened to an album in full for ages, so this was lovely to listen to again.

This is my favorite Beatles album

Ome of the best albums of all time. Classic

Peak beatles, great songs front to back

Best of the Beatles

There's nothing new to be said. I love The Beatles. I love this album. I really enjoy the 2019 mix.

A classic

5, duh.

Let's start off with the ICONIC album photo. One of these days I'll make it to Abbey Road and see the crossroad 🤞🏻 Come Together is an amazing song, what a way to open an album! Lots of classic songs on this album. I'll be here all day if I talk about them all. Catchy stuff 5 ⭐️

Love love love the Beatles although my fav is rubber soul.

Abbey 5

I smiled like a Cheshire cat when I saw what todays album is. "Come Together" is iconic, "Something" is beautiful, "Here Comes the Sun" is stunning. They truly went out on top with this album. I love "Golden Slumbers" gets me in the feels every time. The oddest song on the album is "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" - Harrison recalled: "Sometimes Paul would make us do these really fruity songs. I mean, my God, 'Maxwell's Silver Hammer' was so fruity." He's right. The Medley on Side 2 - has everything and I even heard the Alabama Shakes Hold On riff in "Sun King". 5/5.

I grew up on the Beatles, I took the blue album to my first school disco on C90 (Monster Mash on side B - it was Halloween), my French horn teacher was one of their session musicians and that was the coolest thing ever. This album amongst others from them introduced me to so many different genres of music. So much to say about Abbey Road and I don’t know what I could add to anything that’s already been written. Oh! Darling Is the best track as far as I’m concerned and I’m sorry Lennon fans but I don’t think he could’ve sung it better than McCartney. Lennon was wrong. Golden Slumbers / Carry That Weight are next up for me, I wish they could’ve been longer tracks but they’re blended perfectly in the medley. I Want You (She’s So Heavy) is such a full on end to side A, you have to leave a break before Here Comes the Sun to really appreciate how the two sides of the record are sequenced. This album at times feels a little disjointed but I think that’s okay, it’s reflective of where the band were at the time and every track still feels like the Beatles. Even Ringo’s bizarre offerings. I'm giving this a 5 because I think it's important, it's ahead of its time and it stands out compared to a lot of the music that was also around at the time. Plus the production is fantastic.

It’s Abbey Road. What more do you need to say? I don’t think it’s their top-to-bottom strongest album, but there’s a gleeful ‘throw everything at the wall’ energy I really love. I’ve even grown to appreciate Maxwell’s Silver Hammer.

Beatles. Abbey Road. Need I say more?

One of the greats

What else do you want me to say?

Vreemd genoeg nooit helemaal beluisterd, easy 5 sterren.

Theres a reason they are the best and Abbey Road exemplified why. I dont even have to speak for this album. Favorite Songs: Come Together, Something, I Want You, Carry That Weight

A classic.

A quintessential “perfect album!” Classic record, one of my favorite, if not favorite Beatles album. Something and Come Together, I want you, Here Comes The Sun are bonafide classics. Side B, while I don't really love any of the big long song individually, as a whole it's super cohesive and fun, they flow very well. Really nail what they were trying to channel on Sgt. Pepper‘s. 5+⭐️

A classic. One of my favourite Beatles albums by a stretch. I think I even like Maxwells Silver Hammer. Maybe…

No notes

One of the best by one of the best

No words. The best album ever!

This is arguably The Beatles at their best. What’s not to love. The harmonies, the experimental textures, and great songwriting. The arguments about which is the best Beatles album will go on forever but this has to be in the conversation.

Icónico.

And in the end.... no one knew at the time, apart from the individual members of The Beatles, that it was over. Walls went up, walls came down, options were explored and roads became long and winding. There were, of course, turmoil, turbulence and tension but, given who The Beatles were and what they represented, the belief that all would be resolved and that things would be rosy for eternity was still a given. It would cease to be, obviously, but not before they handed the listening public one final masterpiece; the album that may very well now be the most ubiquitous Beatles record, Abbey Road. Its indefatigable nature, mixed with soaring leaps in sound and substance, is what keeps Abbey Road popular year after year. It also has the Fab Four coalescing into its final forms as they branch out into their individualistic journeys; Beatle John mixing realism and surrealism into a potent package, Beatle Paul keeping things light with whimsy and oftentimes surprising gusto, Beatle George crossing the bridge and never looking back as the world finally caught up with his most indelible songs yet and Beatle Ringo marking his territory with his irrepressible reliability. It may have been the end of the road, knowing what we know now, but in a lot of ways it was just as much a beginning, for The Beatles had done all that there was to do. It's just the music now that lasts forever. Abbey Road is testament to that.

Not to be cliché here, but this is a 5 Star record. What can you say? Once you get to the medley, you have to admit the lads are cooking. It is a capital A album, with repeated motifs and a real feeling to it.

Apsolutna i najveća na svijetu petica!! 🫶🏻🌈 Nema se tu puno što reći, jedan od najvećih albuma u povijesti. 5/5, 10/10

Best Beatles album by far

Another one from this obscure band no one has ever heard of? Great! Another solid outing from these guys, they look to have a bright future if they can keep this up!

An absolute masterpiece. This album is beautiful and amazing, made more so by knowing it was the last album they worked on together. Paul's bass lines are stellar as always, and never more iconic than in the album's opening notes with "Come Together." The album features George's best composition in "Something" and most popular in "Here Comes the Sun." It also contains perhaps Ringo's best composition in "Octopus's Garden" (I would also accept "Good Night" as a worthy answer for him). And then there's "I Want You (She's So Heavy)," which is maybe the earliest heavy metal song. The droning riff at the end with the harmonies on HEAVY are astounding to this day and just an exceptional example of how influential they were on genres that didn't even exist yet. The second half medley has an epic musical theater quality to it and is legendary on its own. This is just an amazing and rewarding album by a group of musicians who would never again be able to let another musician be the star over them. It's incredible that the Beatles lasted this long together. They feel more like a supergroup that gets together as an event or even as a gimmick than a group with the insane level of individual artistry they had and we are all so lucky they collaborated as long as they did. There's a reason the Beatles fascinate the masses to this day and that their popularity has endured for generations.

Impossible not to enjoy this album.

There doesnt exist a *perfect* Beatles album because they always throw in at least one thats a bit rubbish but this is as good as they come

I mean c’mon

no need to listen, i know it's an all-time album and one of their best

I am a mere mortal. Maxwell is the only bum note on possibly the greatest Side 1 of all time. I didn't think much of the medley format on Side 2, but more than anything I wouldn't care to live in a world without Come Together, Octopus's Garden, or I Want You/She's So Heavy.

Rubber Soul has always been my #1, but maybe I'm an Abbey Road girly after all. I love the combination of serious and playfulness in the songwriting. And the serious found in the playfulness and vice versa. Nothing I would skip - only songs I'd keep on playing.

Golden Slumbers is my favorite 90 seconds of Beatles

And I tried to find flaws

I want to tell her that I love her a lot but I gotta get a belly full of wine

Fantastic

Like yeah obviously it’s 5 stars

It's difficult to write about The Beatles in general, but a particular challenge to say something new about Abbey Road, which may very well be their finest moment: their clearest, most wide-awake record, a conclusion but no less a beginning, their best produced and their least self-conscious. It almost feels as if the band could finally relax, perhaps knowing that it was all coming to an end, but also b/c they went thru the necessary labor pains involved in creating Revolver, Sgt. Pepper's, and The White Album, brilliant works of art but notably self-aware. It has two of the great Beatles songs, the Harrison-masterstrokes, it has Ringo's most memorable and inventive drumming, Paul's maturest songwriting, and Lennon as a soulful backdrop.

I know the Beatles haters are going to show up here, but let’s be real. This is one of their best albums, recorded at a time when the band was falling apart. Somehow, they put all that aside and made something incredible. George Harrison absolutely shines. “Something” is the best love song ever written in my opinion, and “Here Comes the Sun” is one of the most universally loved songs in their catalog. Those two tracks alone are better than most bands’ entire careers. The second side medley is just plain fun. It jumps between ideas like a musical collage, but it works. It’s catchy, weird, beautiful, and somehow flows perfectly. “Oh! Darling” is Paul’s throwback to doo-wop and soul, and John’s “I Want You (She’s So Heavy)” digs into darker, heavier territory that hints at early prog rock. George also invited Billy Preston to sit in during the Let It Be sessions, and you can hear how much that paid off here. His keyboard playing gives the album extra texture and personality. This isn’t just a great Beatles album. It’s one of the best albums of all time.

For me a 5/5 is an album that I would listen to almost all of the tracks individually and this gets there for me. Not only that, but listening as a whole album has such a wonderful flow. I know almost all these songs by heart and love to sing them/play them on my instruments. I can't even pick favourites because it would be practically the whole album!

This was an amazing album to listen to! It’s honestly crazy that I recognize so many of these songs on the album having not exclusively listened to the Beatles. It flowed so well for an album and the whole experience was just smooth sailing and each piece seems to build off of the other. I can clearly see where the Lemon Twigs get some of their sounds from. :)

Lowkey a pretty decent album

I loathe the Beatles. The two main reasons? 'Her Majesty' and 'Dizzy Miss Lizzy'.

In just 47 minutes The Beatles deliver some of their greatest hits, Harrison’s finest songwriting, the most memorable medley in history and also inadvertently creates doom metal - huh?! Perfect album from the iconic opening of “Come Together” until the grand finish of “The End”. Perfection. Then there’s also “Her Majesty”.

Outstanding. The cover alone earns it a 5!

A strong contender as any for the title of "greatest album of all time". Each Beatle brought at least one strong track to this album, and almost everything on here would be the best song ever written by any other artist. Their musicianship is also display here with intricate bass, guitar, and drum parts throughout. Yes "Maxwell's Silver hammer" is a clunker but the rest is so good that I can forgive it. Finally, we need to acknowledge how impressive the medley is. Every time I reach "Golden Slumbers" I'm in awe. The Beatles knew it was over and said Goodbye in the most impressive wait they could. Just an excellent finale from the greatest group to ever do it.

cmon its literally ABBEY ROAD 10/10

Nice try 1001 Generator, nice try. I'm foolish but not foolish enough to think I have anything to add to the endless number of words already said about this utterly flawless album. It's one of the best albums by the best band that ever was or ever will be. 5/5? Nah. This one gets my highest ratings- tits out, ladies and gents, tits out.

Incredible start to finish album. The album that introduced me to the Beatles and listening to every album from front to back…

Incredible album. One of the greatest, if not THE greatest B-sides ever recorded. Every song is incredible. The easiest 5 stars I've given so far.

5.0/what an amazing album. one of my favorite albums, actually. i love the sun king and the switch into she came in through the bathroom window is truly glorious. vinyl in collection.

My favourite album: perfect

Too good. Replayed many times and don’t wanna move on. Love all songs.

The Beatles were big believers in listening to and creating music in album form. Abbey Road is arguably the most well known album/album cover and I don’t think many people question its legacy or impact so without even digging into it pretty deep it’s a safe 5. I am at this point well through my Beatlemania phase, so listening to this album now is increasingly nostalgic and less of me being amazed at it as a work of art. I still think it is, but after 20+ listens and as many years, I listen to it differently now. I think about the 55 years of musical and cultural influence this album has had. I’m not 17 anymore so I no longer feel like I understand the Beatles on a deeper level than most, and like many, many people I went through a Beatles phase pretty early on in my musical journey. So at this point I’m not smug about them, but I kind of feel like a grandfather or a teacher who is both proud and amused by a young person’s fascination with a topic I am well versed on. It’s hard for me to separate what is special about this album in terms of musicality and my own memories because it was a foundational part of my budding appreciation for music.

Reading some of the history about this album is so fascinating. It’s so interesting that John was more interested in a traditional album (side A) and Paul was really pushing for the interconnected “suite” (side B) and that division really contributed to them breaking up. What’s so cool about this is that you really get the best of both worlds. The first half has some all time classics (except Maxwell’s silver hammer, wtf was up with that Paul) and then you get such a cool unique snippet of songs that have some recurring chords or melodies. Even though chronologically this is their second to last album, they actually recorded these songs after the Let It Be sessions which adds a cool aspect into the legend behind this album that I find so cool. Brief anecdote: 10 years ago, post coitus (sorry), my now wife and I would be just listening to this vinyl on repeat, trying to decipher what the hell any of the side B songs meant. But when it would get to Golden Slumbers we would both stop talking and really just take in the beauty of the song. I would imagine being able to sing this lullaby of a song to my child. I now do. Love this album.

Really can’t say much that I dislike about this album. The difference in the front half and back half of the album is really interesting and there’s a couple huge radio hits that most everyone knows. It’s not my favorite Beatles album, but it’s really hard to give this anything less than a five. Shoutout to Asheville’s own Moog Synthesizer and whatever role it might have played in breaking up the Beatles.

Coming into this album I knew that there were some major hits, but I was trying to justify to myself how I could give this a 5 star with so much extra bloat. "Come Together", "Something", "Octopus's Garden", and "Here Comes The Sun" are all 5 star songs. "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" and "Oh! Darling" are solid 4 star songs, but that still leaves 11 out of 17 songs as filler... or so I believed. The back half of this album is awesome! Once you get past the radio hits, the songs all start to flow together. It's more like one big song that they broke up into 7 or 8 parts. They change slightly, but to the point that I have to look at the track list to make sure we're onto another song. I loved it!

Stunning final statement. Shows the best elements of the band working together. Timeless songs and performances. Perfect Album.

How could you dislike the Beatles? That being said, I feel like this album could be a touch overrated.

Iconic.

It's Abbey Road. Enough said.

The hits stand out, but not as good as I remember it being when it came out.

Classic. Five stars doesn't seem like enough. Call it 5 + bonus star in my head.

I bought the vinyl! It was fun listening to all the different takes on this extended version.

Awesome

I think its easier for this album to say what you didn't like than what you did Maxwell's silver hammer is not for me. Special mention for underrated songs I love "I want you", "you never give me your money" and the stretch of under two minute songs are fantastic. Really there is a reason this is the number one album if sleet wood is at the time of writing its a travesty they are not even close.

Favorite Track: I Want You (She's So Heavy)

I really enjoy this

Not a single bad track on this album

Giles “son of George” Martin believes Abbey Road does so well on streaming because the way it was recorded means it sounds more modern than the other Beatles albums. Obviously it’s a five-star classic and there's always a degree of hair-splitting when it comes to your favourite Beatles album, but I am intrigued to know if he’s right and that’s a factor in why it’s currently rating higher than Revolver and Sgt Pepper.

tu connais deja

Sgt. Peppers isn't even as good as just the second half of this album. This is as close to perfection as it gets boys, girls and nbs. Enjoy it.

It really is a masterpiece of an album. I feel like this is a great goodbye album from the Beatles. For me, the early albums are far too much like the rest of the music from the late 50s and early 60s. The psychedelic stage Beatles gets weird, but better. Abbey Road just brings it together and was executed masterfully.

I can see the influence this album has had on music since its truly one of a kind

The album is so emotive. Every song is an experience and evokes some feeling. Really enjoyed the listen and hearing the whole album as a collection, rather than hearing the individual songs without the context of the overall journey.

Listened in the truck via YouTube music. Top two Beatles record for me. Listened many many times before and will listen many times more.

Albums pretty perfect. The second half is jaw dropping. 10/10

Perfection

As I often write, it's not my favourite Beatles album, yet it is absolutely brilliant.

almost every song is a classic, how will i be able to review this objectively? i want you is one of the best songs in the world. this album must be a 5/5.

bang bang maxwells silver hammer came down upon her head top 3 all time

Paul dogs out 🤩

Shit album

abbey road :)

Repeat listen

Not sure much needs to be said here, excellent album (although not my absolute favourite of the Beatles)

Before I turned 13 and discovered Guided by Voices and Built to Spill and Yo La Tengo, I would have called this my favourite album, my tastes informed (and my social coolness hindered) by my blind fidelity to my father's pop culture persuasion. The Beatles were the focal point of that influence. There are worse things you can instill in your kid. At 28, I spend less time with Abbey Road and the Fab Four's other greats, but it feels no less monumental to hear. I listened to Side A at work this afternoon, struck by the way Paul wails through the John-ish Oh Darling! (which also has a fair bit of Zappa pastiche in it), by the imposing nature of She's So Heavy, by the yearning in both Harrison's voice and guitar in Something, and the pang of desire and grief that charges its middle-eight, the best of the Beatles' discography. Then, on the train, I put on Side B, and felt like I heard anew the lushness of Here Comes the Sun and the magic of the Moog synth that comes into it late. And that melody, Christ. The way Paul absolutely belts through Golden Slumbers, the orchestral reprise of the You Never Give Me Your Money hook. That back-to-back-to-back run of Mean Mr. Mustard-Polythene Pam-Bathroom Window... no wonder I fell so hard for GBV. Not my favourite Beatles record, and, come on, can you -really- say that an album with Maxwell's Silver Hammer on it is perfect, but what else could this be but a five-star masterpiece?

One of my favorite albums. The run of the songs going into each other is perfect.

Literally perfect. As if aliens from the future passed down sacred knowledge to advance our appreciation for music.

One of the greatest! Excellent album

The Beatles at their absolute finest, not a single skip.

Okay, maybe I do like the Beatles a little bit. "Oh Darling" is great, as is "Come Together", and "Something". The more bluesy the Beatles get, the better, "I want you" is also really great. And "Here Comes The Sun" is also awesome. I'm pretty shocked I'm giving this five stars, but I am.

Not my personal favorite but definitely a great one

Sure, it's great, but it's so all over the map that I can't say it's better than Revolver (or Rumours).

best beatles album* *depending on what day you ask me. its this or revolver

Its fucking abbey road 5/5 (her majesty hätte man sich sparen können)

Been listening to this one since I as 10 or something. Absolutely the best.

It's Abbey Road.

Easy fiver are you kidding me. The Abbey Road Medley might be one of the most transcendent stretches of music ever recorded. And to get to it you have to go through Come Together, Oh! Darling, I Want You (Shes So Heavy), and Here Comes the Sun. Darn, what a nightmare. And the craziest thing it isn’t even the best Beatles Album (Revolver).

Absolute classic. Wow.

Oh! Darling

Best album ever made

Going through a weird phase with these albums of getting an artist I really like but for the first time so I guess I gotta say why the Beatles are so good. These songs just feel otherworldly(ly) good and unique, I still don't think anyone has come close to some of the stuff on here. The hits are insane, obviously pop hits, but with a really unique flare, like early moog synth bits on quite a lot of the songs. Lots of them creatively tell stories. I guess this is what you get when 4 once in a generation musician in a room. The Paul songs are some of the best and worst, Maxwell's silver hammer is perfectly goofy. The John song are very melancholic my this point, I had forgotten how unique Because is and captures some sort of perfect melancholy. The George Harrison songs are a bit more serious than the Paul, but are some of the best ones on here, mostly something. The octopus' garden song is also perfect in its own right. The medley thing at the end is so unique and another reason why I don't think anyone has really done this thing. I feel like all of them are also quite underrated solely as instrument players, as all of the parts feel so tight together. Absolutely no downsides, I just don't really like quite a lot of Oh! Darling, some of it is good though. Favourite songs: all of them but that I guess, my absolute favourite is I want you (She's so heavy), not only does it have one of the greatest and most interesting instrumentals, the Lennon/McCartney contrast works absolutely flawlessly here, gotta be my favourite Beatles song (maybe Nowhere man actually). Overall around 10/10

Best album by the best band. The final chop/chop/chop medley beginning with Mean Mr. Mustard Seed is as good as an album has ever been.

When I was in elementary school, we learned both “Octopus’s Garden” and “Yellow Submarine” in music class. When I taught at the same elementary school, one of my (most favorite) 4th grade students discovered to song “Maxwell’s Silver Hammer” and was belting it out before she stopped midway and said “Why do those ladies want to free Maxwell?” And then pondered serial killers and their fans for a few hours. Thankfully she didn’t go down some true crime rabbit hole, though listening to her talk with her friend about the insanity that is women wanting to free a killer was pretty delightful. Anyway, this album has some great songs on it and it works really well as a whole enchilada. Maxwell’s Silver Hammer and Octopus’s Garden kinda break it for me (as does the strained singing on “Golden Slumbers”-I love that song but there are parts of to vocals that aren’t my most favorite). Overall, probably one of my favorite Beatles’ albums, even though I’ll likely not revisit it again (being etched in my brain as it is).

Seeing as you'd be hard pressed to find many legitimate sources that rank this album outside of the top 10 greatest albums, including this site where it currently sits at the top, I felt that I really had to give this one as much of my attention as I could afford it today. I was surprised to realize that I had never actually listened to this album in full until today. I think the intro tracks to the A and B sides of the album (Come Together and Here Comes the Sun) are easily the strongest tracks and they are very good outside the context of the album. The production quality is a big factor in why this album shines so bright in my book. Every song has an array of sounds that breathe life into it. I think the biggest thing that both works for and against this album is the creative differences between band members that have been documented when The Beatles were creating Abbey Road. It works in the albums favor because each song feels like it received special attention by whichever member created it. It reminds me of a high budget TV show that has a different director for each episode. Where this hurts the album in my opinion is the lack of continuity. In terms of themes, characters, and sound styles it is kind of all over the place including some awkward cuts between songs. This feels especially the case on the B "medley" side. I would give Abbey Road a 4.5 if I could because even the tracks that I don't love, I still enjoyed. But since I can't I will round it up to a 5 on cultural significance alone.

A classic

Actually a great album, must buy

Brilliant

Well it’s the album of all time

All around a great mix of music. Love the variation. Favorite might be Golden Slumbers

excellent record

This album is outrageous. I'm not really a Beatles superfan, and I find some of their stuff a bit dated, but man, listening to this album it's sorta crazy how often you catch a song, or a bit of a song, and realise that such and such band took that part of a song, extrapolated it, and made an entire career for themselves out of that one part. The influence of this one album has shaped the entire modern western music industry. Not only that, it has the absolutely joyful "Here comes the Sun" on it, perhaps the Beatles best track in my opinion. Absolutely deserving of the hype.

One of the easiest ratings I’ll have to do, iconic album.

One of my favorite classic bands ever. Loved every part of this album. It was fun and had me singing and dancing at my desk. First time ever hearing Octopuses Garden and can't get it out of my head. After listening to this album I realized I need more Beetles' in my library.

Beatles are goats

Iconic album. Love all these songs. Ringos drumming is iconic. The song writing is just top tier. Love the Beatles

Awesome album. No average songs here, all are at least great. The beatles at their very best.

There’s nothing more to say about this one. Just listen to it.

Fantastic. The medley is legendary.

I didn’t have to listen to this one to rate it a 5. But I did anyway.

Great, classic album.

Perhaps my favorite album of all time.

What else is there to say about this album?

5/23/25. Fantastic album, love every song and can always come back to listen. Even the album cover sets the tone for how good this is.

Their eleventh album. Great album cover too! Come Together, what a start ! I love George's guitar on this and Ringo's drums. Something, just beautiful. The best love song ever? Wow George! Octopus's Garden, delightful! Here Comes The Sun, once again George flexes on this album. Oh! Darling, Paul's growling vocals! George Martin's production throughout this album is insanely perfect! Because, such a good track ! Carry That Weight and The End, what a way to go outb! This may be the best album of all time.

Maybe the best album of all time.

One of the best albums ever made. It’s on my desert island with me. It’s 7 out of 5 stars. And yet…Maxwell’s Silver Hammer is on it: one of the Beatles worst songs. That’s how good this album is. Truly wild. I’m so thankful this album exists. John didn’t like the medley. That’s why I don’t like John.

The third best album by the beatles is still a 5/5

4.5/5 I can understand why The Beatles are so popular. This was a good album. A little all over the place, but not terrible. I wouldn't say it's the best album ever, but I liked a lot of the songs on here. The album cover is so iconic though.

I’m not wasting anyone’s time trying to write something original about the Beatles.

Very familiar with the album ,so I went a little deeper on information and I still can't get over how wild it is that they disintegrated within the course of a year or so and that they were able to muster amicability to actually complete this one. John bringing Yoko to the studio in a convalescent bed is bonkers. Also, the solos in The End are so cool, Ringo on drums and then 3 lead lines played in succession by Paul, George, and John. A crazy goodbye, but makes sense. A top album for me, but I still put White Album a bit higher.

top songs: something, she's so heavy, come together, here comes the sun, oh darling, because i get it now

Abbey Road by The Beatles. What else is there to say?

One of the best albums ever objectively. As a scouser, you cannot hate the Beatles as they are everywhere in the city and this album is so fucking good.5/5

BOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM ik was echt eng toevallig maxwell's silver hammer aan het luisteren, want lekker weer, toen ik ging kijken wat het album van de dag was

I have probably listened to this album more times than any other on this list (or at all). So, naturally, an obvious five stars. What a masterpiece; the medley gives me tingles all over.

Can't rate anything below five stars because of the cultural impact it had both on me and on society

i cried refreshing the webpage. i don’t even need to listen to this 10/5 5/5 whatever

One of the most iconic albums of all time. With how mainstream and recognizable some of the songs are, you forget that they are genuinely fantastic works of art - i.e. Come Together, Here Comes the Sun, Something. The medley on the second half of the album is amazing, Maxwell's Silver Hammer is the one stain on this album, if you can call it that. The most consistent Beatles album from start to finish. 10/10

favourites: Because, Octopuses Garden, Something, You Never Me Your Money, Golden Slumbers least favourites: Maxwell’s Silver Hammer

Classic innit

it's incredible to think that their last recorded album (Let it Be was recorded before) has a lot of their most famous and best songs. Listening now knowing they wouldn't make music together after that makes it even more impactful and meaningful. They all have their moment to shine (especially George's "Something") and that's why for me, this is their best album (maybe my favorite but for me objectively their best) 9,5/10 fav songs : I want you (She's so heavy) & Because. But let's be honest there are no bad songs on this record.

Oh yeah, they were Fab

Yeah this is a great album. Dreamy, jolly, harmonic, musically versatile, yada yada, all the stuff any critic would write. Or in their words: John - Ono! Paul - Experiences! George - Sun! Ringo - Octopus!

I often go long periods between listening to Beatles albums, and whenever I do listen they always sound great. Still amazed how much great music they put out in such a short time.

I don’t think it's actually my favourite, maybe because it's the first I bought and I've heard it so many times. But of course it's a classic, some of the GOAT songs ever on this.

I think this was the first Beatles record I bought (apart from the red and blue compilations). Monumental, of course. A classic.

10out of 10 for Music 10 out of 10 for Allbum. cover

YEAH this album rules. I even like (most of) the goofy songs. And any album with I Want You (She's So Heavy) AND She Came in Through the Bathroom Window [AND... many others] is hard to not be at least a 9/10. Listened to this 3 times yesterday.

Maxwells silver hammer inexplicably holds a special place in my heart. Whole album is nearly perfect. One of their best

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ listen to "the long one" on the super deluxe version because it puts her majesty in the medley and that song is soo good

Wow, I’ve always been a radio guy or just listened to random streaming playlists and stations. I’m just now starting to listen to entire albums and it was a great experience and I can see why Abbey Road is considered one of the greatest!

I'm not the biggest Beatles enjoyer, but this is very good

Try and say a bad thing about it

This album has my favorite George Harrison tracks, my favorite Ringo song, and my favorite Paul work (seeing Paul do the Abbey Road Medley live twice are core memories for me). This is a comfort album for me and it’s definitely my favorite Beatles album all around, even if that’s a boring take John’s there too I guess

Inarguably one of the greatest albums ever. Simple songs that are just forever resonant

Despite drifting in different directions, they really were firing on all cylinders musically. See Peter Jackson's "Get Back" for great behind-the-scenes footage of late-stage Beatles.

Come on now.

There isn't a thing I, or anyone on this site, could say that hasn't been said hundreds of times before. It's like trying to write about Citizen Kane. It may not have been their final release, but it was their final recorded and they went out with the biggest bang possible. The 2nd side medley is one of the best things recorded in popular music history.

One of the most legendary album cover. Maybe one day I will come to the UK and take the similar picture 😅 Anyway, legendary album, but not my fav from the Beatles

probably the greatest three song run ever in Golden Slumbers, Carry That Weight and The End

Epic opening track Come Together. But what on Earth is Maxwell's Silver Hammer? Haha! Listening to this album channeled melancholy for times long gone. I enjoyed the rock'n' roll - the guitars on I Want You (She's So Heavy) were awesome and Here Comes The Sun was just beautiful... Plenty of great songs on here. Definitely a phenomenon and an experience. I really enjoyed it but the last songs of this album felt very rushed. They were all pretty short and faded into one another. As if they had to have a certain amount of songs and did not care for their respective lengths. But it still had a nice flow so I don't really care about this. What a great life to be able to listen to music.

Easy 5/5 for me. So many amazing songs on here. Definitely their best work imo. I Want You is so damn good

Yeah yeah it’s a 5. It’s obviously a marvel so I will take this time to poke holes as they come. Maxwell’s Silver Hammer is a great but definitely weaker compared to the rest. Octopus Garden is a par Phineas and Ferb song. She’s so heavy is a cool little riff and is exciting at first but then drags like nothing happens but I do like the end where they just do the riff forever. That’s all I got. Rest of it ranges from great to inoffensive. I think I’m a Paul girl with a crush on George. Worry B-Side clears.

Yeah I mean this is probably one of the easiest 5s on this list. The album highlights how versatile the band was, and how creative they can be with blending many different genres with the instruments they used. I don't remember the last time I listened to this album all the way through, but I really enjoyed it. There were a couple of songs that I was unfamiliar with, but each one had something cool and unique to it.

Nothing to add, love the medley.

Have been waiting for this one. It’s so good. The perfect mix of really lovely songs (Something, Oh Darling) and the really weird (Maxwell’s Silver Hammer, Octopus’s Garden). It starts with Come Together which is in my top 3 fav Beatles songs.

The Last Beatles recoding and what a way to go out on such a high note. Every song is a standout!

Phenomenal, this is the album I listen too most often. The second best Beatle album 😉 Starts of really groovy, “Something” is the most beautiful song and then the song continue to surprise. “Because” is so magical, John, Paul and George sung it 3 times making it a 9 voice choir. Beautiful. But the main course is the ending montage. This was their last album and they had a lot of half songs. So you take all these half ideas, mix them into a montage and you got non stop bangers flipping the style every so often. Don’t forget “Her Majesty”!!

Well. Beatles yadda yadda.

the greatest album ever made

Perfection

"Come Together" to kick it off followed by "Something" right out the gate? That alone is already a 5 right there!! But then you get so much more. I wish I could give it higher than a 5.

Beautiful

The Beatles are the Beatles

I mean, what more can I say about this? Definitely my favourite Beatles album. Absolute peak.

Amazing nothing else needed to say.

This album is so great I even love the slow ones 😋. Every sound on this album is perfect. Even Ringo's tune is perfect. Maybe the silence between I Want You (She's So Heavy) and Here Comes the Sun could be just a skosh longer, otherwise this is a perfect album. It is my favorite Beatles album. Paul's bass on Mean Mr. Mustard sounds like grunge twenty years ahead of it's time. You Never Give Me Your Money always makes me cry. Two songs begin with the words Here Comes the Sun. And that medley is top tier desert island shit. Masterpiece does not even cover it. There isn't a high enough number.

My feeble brain is not capable of describing the beauty and flow this album set as a precedent for all to follow.

Klasika, moje oblibene album od Brouku.

Just incredible songwriting. Every song is great.

Don’t usually listen to the Beatles, but that was good Songs added to playlist: Come together Oh! Darling I Want You Here Comes The Sun Because You Never Give Me Your Money Golden Slumbers Carry That Weight

92% Best: Come Together; Something; Oh! Darling; I Want You (She's So Heavy); Here Comes the Sun; The End Must-Hear? You can probably tell from the fact that this is the highest rated album in the book, that it is a Must-Hear.

What a show! Everything from Because through Carry that Weight flows seamlessly from one onto the next, leading the album back full circle. Boy, you're gonna carry that weight and you better have a belly full of wine. Not a lot of bangers (miss me with Come Together) but groovy and enjoyable (Octopus's Garden and Maxwell, underrated). 4.3

Classic, beautiful, and iconic.

Abby Road Medley rules (b-side of vinyl)
