If Meatloaf and Iggy Pop had a baby. Pretty creepy.

Oh man. Louis Prima was lowkey a terrible human, but the energy of his big band is just fantastic. Keely has an awesome voice and Sam Butera is the perfect foil to his big personality.
Better than I was expecting

Well crafted, but not my jam. There is a lot of organ. Definitely some bangers, though.
Too weird for me. Very psychedelic and indulgent.
Really good, creative pop music. Some is very experimental but she has such a solid, unique voice.
Catchy songs, but uses odd sounds and instruments to be quirky. So many really big hits though. Definitely before its time.
Violent Femmes - punk/new wave sound.
Almost jazz prog rock. Interesting as background music, cool horn section.
Southern rock
Brass in Pocket is not like the rest of it. New wave and punk. Not melodic really.
Absolute banger.
Weird synth-y music - good for background. Spacy
Mr. Blue Sky - and a lot of 70s synth pop. Not my favorite
More Beatles influence than I remember. Really great songwriting.
Shining Star - then it gets weird/
Not my jam. He's a poet, though.
Meh.
Dance-y without being super techno. Tears for Fears/Wham/Culture Club. Solid
I appreciate the craft. Jazz - jazz is weird
Catchy - Connections is good. Similar to Garbage
Country rock - very croon-y
So country
House music - repetitive. weird.
Best of the best
Classic blues
Classic
weird psychadelic and electronic music.
Better than I expected. A little one-note.
Classic instrumental blues
Jazz is still weird. Talent, groove. Not my jam
Top 3 of Rush albums and the best mix of prog and rock that has ever been released.
This was almost as groundbreaking as Nevermind or Versus. A mainstream female artist that was singing about life in a raw, open way. Pop just didn't do that before.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Yellow is okay Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
I wish Morrison wasn't such a jerk. This is an excellent album that I really want to like, but his nonsense takes away a star for me.
I didn't expect to like this. Very quirky but catchy
Atmospheric African influenced rave music.
Extra star for The Weight, the rest is pretty forgettable
It wants to be punk, but its political without the anger. Pass
Such an upbeat jazz album. Really enjoyed
First 10-ish songs are solid. The other 24 are a little much. By 'little' I mean way too and by 'much' I mean ffs Moby.
One okay song that now sounds dated. Very "of the time"
Its half really good, half unlistenable.
All bangers
I've heard Bob's kind of a jerk nowadays, but this is peak.
Garbage light.
A double album was probably too indulgent. There's definitely 42 min of good songs on there.
Nothing memorable.
Not sure what makes this one essential.
Proto speed metal. Its not very good, but you can see the blueprint for Kill'em All very c;learly. Bonus star for being groundbreaking.
Good moments. Bad moments. Mostly just f-ing weird.
More like the Strokes/Vines than I was expecting.
I get it, but the stereo mix is so jarring. I feel like every late 60s group is like Jefferson Beatles.
Barry Manilow but cheekier? Not terrible. Good production
Some country, some folk. Not memorable.
So campy. But exquisitely composed and produced.
Boring late 60s jamming
Aggressively upbeat
Oh man. Louis Prima was lowkey a terrible human, but the energy of his big band is just fantastic. Keely has an awesome voice and Sam Butera is the perfect foil to his big personality.
Shockingly similar to Meatloaf. Well-produced but weird
Forgettable synth pop
So close to awesome. Just needed some Bruce.
Classic.
Garage band Bjork. Fun, weird. Its Bjork.
Political, angry. The music is very much "of the time.
Very quirky McCartney. Its okay but not memorable
If Meatloaf and Iggy Pop had a baby. Pretty creepy.
I know this album. Not my favorite, but I know it was very well received.
Why is music in scare quotes? That doesn't bode well. Wow, hot garbage autotune crap.
Meh
Very 'Let It Be' era Beatles vibe. No bangers, but well-produced.
Even if it was just Take Five, it would be a classic, but its all great. And I am not a jazz person. Talent is talent
I was expecting more. I don't know why. Its a good album just not memorable.
So friggin weird. Proggy in some parts, but weird as hell.
meh
A classic ... but does it hold up. Fingers crossed... It 100% still slaps.
So disco. But so often used for sampling, it's worth an extra star
There is nothing really memorable about this. I'm not a fan.
New wave. very upbeat
Somewhere between Sting and Tom Petty. Catchy.
Definite talent. A lot of guest stars dilutes her contribution, IMO
I'm not a Radiohead person.
Banger
Folksy til yer eyes bleed. Not my thing.
Not my jam
I dislike this pretentious navel-gazer. But damn, this a good record. Moody, dark and polished
Problematic artist. So much talent for pop songs.
Imagine... and a bunch of other songs.
Blue eyed soul/50s garage band. Nothing special.
Meh
Classic.
Some good stuff. Second tier behind other metal of the time.
I did not expect to like this. Morrisey is definitely a mood, but this is far more interesting than The Smiths to me.
The last really good U2 album.
Meh.
Not listening to this. A trash human being.
Really, really good. I had forgotten how much I liked this album.
Banger.
Peace Sells is a classic, everything else is just okay.
Carole King-esque. Enjoy the listen, but I won't likely repeat.
Alright is memorable. Not much else.
Meh
Good golly, so schmaltzy. Everything that Sinatra made classy just falls so flat. Its not big band, its not blues, its just <sigh>.
Classic. Five stars doesn't seem like enough. Call it 5 + bonus star in my head.
So dreary.
Boring noodle-y synth stuff
More than just Come On Eileen. but not a classic. 3 stars seems about right.
Of the time. Good vibe but not memorable
Its showtunes. I just can't. Good voice, but an hour of German tinged songs about tanks. No.
What a weird album. Not a lot of memorable songs in there. Clever concept, but seems like a comedy sketch
Peak disco.
Its 2.5 hours of bluegrass. As advertised. Well-made but so f-ing folksy
Thrash, but nothing memorable.
No
Banger
I know its quality, but I don't like it.
Shockingly good. A variety of styles and themes.
Acoustic Beatles. Not memorable.
All over the place. Some good, some bad, some weird. Not memorable.
Classic
Not memorable.
Not my favorite type of music but incredibly well composed and produced.
Budget Chemical Brothers. Zzzzz
Weird.
Classic
Modern classic
Not at all memorable.
Meh. Feels overproduced.
It was fine alt country in the vein of Indigo Girls.
I don't get it. At all.
Thoroughly punk. Not good, but still great.
Classic
Not particularly memorable.
I don't know what this is supposed to be. Acid Rock, Prog, Punk, Funk? Not a fan.
This is terrible and unlistenable.
Somewhere between 60's folk, classic rock, and punk. Not terrible.
I'm just not a fan of her voice. The production is beautiful, though.
Better than I was expecting
Excellent blues
Its punk, but there's better punk.
Better than the Adverts. Not as good as fugazi or iggy
Straight banger
His voice. Like nails on a chalkboard
Thought I would like this more
Epic. Absolutely immaculate.
Don't hate it. Its pretty standard reggae but done well and jazzy too.
Meh. Its okay, but not memorable.
Absolute banger. Still feels fresh >25 years on.
Pogues gonna Pogue...
Trash from a trash human. Not listening.
This is... not good.
Without listening yet. This is 4 stars of nostalgia for me. It might not be empirically good, but I loved this album back in the day.
Meh. Dreary Alt rock.
Beck is very talented and went for a specific mood. Liked it, didn't love it.
Unremarkable.
Its like grunge punk. I like it, but I don't love it.
Not at all memorable.
Remarkably listenable. Its really just Relax and several covers that are good, but Born to Run and War are both solid. And that's the most I've thought about Frankie in 40 years.
I did not enjoy this. The production and orchestration is so polished and well done. But it's too weird to be enjoyable.
Not my thing
No dynamics. Just loud and feedback. Shoegaze emo is not my jam.
Up and down, but very raw. I don't love it, but i see the prototype for early smashing pumpkins and nirvana
Screamy metal should be something I like. This is just not hitting.
I dislike The Doors (or at least Jimmy is a pompous, misogynous jerk), but the talent is unmistakable.
Absolute banger
Heavy metal jazz. One extra star for the talent of the musicians
Its jammy southern rock blues. Nothing more, nothing less.
Budget Tom Waits. Pass
Seven and Seven Is (mediocre version) and a lot of hippie nonsense.
Super chill and interesting. Definitely liked this better than Smile
More like Linkin Park than Coldplay. Couple of real bangers, though.
Its very much of the time. All the songs end up sounding the same, but the musicianship is excellent.
Plenty of good stuff.
Groove is in the heart and a bunch of other tracks with the same vibe (but less memorable). I don't dislike anything, but I'm probably not going back.
I really have no idea if this is good for country music or not. I enjoyed it, but not enough to seek out more Merle.
Raw talent and creativity. Just so weird its hard to get into.
He does one thing (and has since 1969). Its good, though.
Very raw but entertaining live album
Even better than I remember.
I liked this more than I expected. Really good energy and fun guitar work
Blue-eyed soul. Not terrible.
Its a vibe. Probably good for a long road trip or focus time
Should have been as popular as the Beatles or the Stones? Heck no.
Well done, but not my jam
Eclectic and of the time, but really memorable and tuneful. So many good songs.
Absolute banger. May be the best grunge album ever.
Heart of Glass and One Way or Another make this 5 stars with nothing else
Its about 5 songs too long. I added a star for A-tier vocals and style variety. But I liked it about 3 stars.
