Oh man. Louis Prima was lowkey a terrible human, but the energy of his big band is just fantastic. Keely has an awesome voice and Sam Butera is the perfect foil to his big personality.

Well crafted, but not my jam. There is a lot of organ. Definitely some bangers, though.

Too weird for me. Very psychedelic and indulgent.

Really good, creative pop music. Some is very experimental but she has such a solid, unique voice.

Catchy songs, but uses odd sounds and instruments to be quirky. So many really big hits though. Definitely before its time.

Violent Femmes - punk/new wave sound.

Almost jazz prog rock. Interesting as background music, cool horn section.

Southern rock

Brass in Pocket is not like the rest of it. New wave and punk. Not melodic really.

Absolute banger.

Weird synth-y music - good for background. Spacy

Mr. Blue Sky - and a lot of 70s synth pop. Not my favorite

More Beatles influence than I remember. Really great songwriting.

Shining Star - then it gets weird/

Top 3 of Rush albums and the best mix of prog and rock that has ever been released.

This was almost as groundbreaking as Nevermind or Versus. A mainstream female artist that was singing about life in a raw, open way. Pop just didn't do that before.

I wish Morrison wasn't such a jerk. This is an excellent album that I really want to like, but his nonsense takes away a star for me.

I've heard Bob's kind of a jerk nowadays, but this is peak.

Beck is very talented and went for a specific mood. Liked it, didn't love it.

Remarkably listenable. Its really just Relax and several covers that are good, but Born to Run and War are both solid. And that's the most I've thought about Frankie in 40 years.

I did not enjoy this. The production and orchestration is so polished and well done. But it's too weird to be enjoyable.

Screamy metal should be something I like. This is just not hitting.

I dislike The Doors (or at least Jimmy is a pompous, misogynous jerk), but the talent is unmistakable.
