Mama Said Knock You Out
LL Cool JI'd rather have mama knock me out than listen to this shitload of crap again.
I'd rather have mama knock me out than listen to this shitload of crap again.
If "Lupe Fiasco's Food and Liquor" was a restaurant they would serve a well done steak with undercooked fries and old lettuce, paired with a flat beer; unsatisfactory and a total waste of money and time. This is just a total fiasco!
OK for once, but won't remember this tomorrow.
Never listened to a full Arcade Fire album before. I quite liked this. Good energy and vibe troughout the album.
This is one of the worst things I've ever heard. Repetitive drums, similar in every song, combined with boring and annoying electronic noise.
There was not a thing I liked about this album.
I don't like the overdramatic tone of Lordes singing. Not bad, not good.
Psycho killer is good. The other songs didn't convince me to vote higher. Don't love it, don't hate it.
I like the sound of R.E.M. The album has some ups and downs for me, but overall a nice and easy to listen album.
Worked well on the background. Did not really stand out.
I knew Yes only from "owner of a lonely heart", so I knew they were all great instrumentalists. This album shows that as well, but it just does that. It lacks really great songs
Don't enjoy listening to Lana's singing and dislike the overdramatic feel throughout the album.
Radiohead in optima forma. Great album!
A little too experimental to my opinion. I like the overall sound of Radiohead
Overall sound is a little too dark. Not my kind of music.
I really liked the guitar, organ and percussion parts in "Devil eyes" and I liked this song in particular, but others I enjoyed less. Probably wouldn't listen to it again.
Too experimental. Did not enjoy this
Some nice songs. Not memorable
I like some parts of this album, but more parts I dislike
I liked that more than I expected. Has some surprising parts.
I'm not a big fan of country. I think Buck Owens executes it well, but it doesn't amuse me.
That was some terrible noise.
Not bad, but I was a little bored after a while.
I liked this way more than expected
That was enough Eminem for a while.
I liked that
Not my genre. Can't enjoy this.
This was nice! Nice harmonies and good music
A little to Raw for me from time to time, but overall quite enjoyable.
It's just too much of everything. 1 extra star for the guitar solos
Not the best Foo Fighters album, still ok.
Didn't enjoy it that much. I noticed I prefered to do something else, than listen to this
It started well, but ended up being a little too experimental from time to time.
Great album! Can't go wrong with the funk of Nile Rodgers and the steady baselines of Edwards, but together with the Sledge sisters it is just awesome. The remixes on the remastered album were not my thing, but the original album is just perfect!
Typical beach boys sound. Not exceptional
Hiphop is not really my thing and, although this album has some cool elements, it remains that way. Quite hard to make it to the end
Decent album, with some really nice elements. I did enjoy this one.
A little different than what I'm used to from Bowie. Nice sound. A little raw. I did enjoy that
Amazing album with a lot of Soul/Funk/Jazz elements. Great use of the percussion and the album has a good energy!
Overall a good album. It showcases the more experimental time of Genesis, when Gabriel was still a member of the group, really well. Personally, I'm a fan of the later albums, but I enjoy listening to the earlier work from time to time as well.
The beginning was really bad. Didn't like that at all. Going further into the album, it got a bit better, but didn't convince me to vote more than 1 star.
Didn't like this.
Nice blues-rock album. Has some really great songs. The guitar solos and the music itself are not very complicated and quite basic from a technical perspective, but are very well executed. The flow/rhythm/energy in this album is great!
I like the sound and music of the white stripes in general, but I struggle a bit with this album. Has 1 or 2 great songs. One of those albums where you notice it becomes really nice when the album has ended and spotify started with recommendations based on this album.
Nice
Here and there, I found some elements I did like.
Better than expected.
Didn't listen this album before. Not my favorite, but it was ok.
It was ok. Not exceptional
It surprised me from time to time and wasn't as expected.
I liked the sound. It felt like a jamsession instead of a proper studio record. Would have been 4 stars if the singer wouldn't sing this much out of tune
If they would speed it up a little and make it a rock 'n roll album, it would have been great, but now it's just boring country music. I liked the last song (live) which had a little more energy.
Apart from one or two songs that are a bit too sweet, I really liked this album! With the benefit of the doubt a five star album (thanks to "Almost cut my hair")
Some parts were too experimental and some parts were really nice. Let's meet in the middle
A real classic. I liked the album from start to end. Proper blues rock album, with some great hits!
Music was good, but eventually I got tired of Toms singing.
Apart from the occasional nice parts, I felt like this album wasted almost two hours of my time.
Nice jazz album. Did make my day!
Album left me a bit confused and I'm not sure whether I like it or hate it. It definitely has some good elements, but also a lot of noise.
Very nice! I like the sound of Franz Ferdinand!
"I bet you look good on the dancefloor" got me listening to the Arctic Monkeys already quite some years ago. After listening to this album the first time I was sold. And although they have made some great music over the years, this first album remains my personal favorite.
After 10 minutes I don't remember a lot from this album. Can't be a good sign.
Better than the other MBV albums. Still a bunch of noise
Catchy tunes, similar vibe throughout the album. I would listen to it again, but on repeat it gets a bit boring after a while.
Terrible. At first, I thought I'd give an extra point for the flow of the album, but the songs got worse and worse. It reminds me of those times trying all the sound of a cheap keyboard while playing a pre-programmed drum beat. They should have named the song "Around the Worst".
Nice. Easy to listen. I like the bass parts! Kudos for the little guitar riffs throughout the album that makes it interesting. Simple, but effective.
I like the usage of brass, but together with the strings, lyrics and voice I can picture this music being played in some cheesy musical.
Nice album, but the vocal parts of some songs were a little too experimental. I could listen all day to the blues songs with Clapton doing his magic.
This was a hard one to finish...
Nice Soul album. I enjoyed it
A versatile album with quite a lot of musical complexity. I'm not very familiar with the songs of ELP, but I definitely dive into this after listening to this album.
I didn't like that one. The music lacks creativity and the singer sounds like he is in the room next door trying to talk with his band.
Not my style of music, but it's not bad. I like the few guitar forward bits.
I did not listened a lot to Blur before and I mainly know them from "song 2". I really like their sound, but this album didn't convince me.
I love this album! Love the blues rock sound of it and the mix is flawless. They lost me a bit in one or two songs, but overall a nice album.
I don't understand the hype around Beyoncé. It's not my type of music and I never listened to it properly. I now understand why... Overall, I did not enjoy it, but I give an extra star, because not all songs were really bad.
I don't like the singing. Couldn't find a lot in this album I liked. Luckily, it wasn't that long.
It has it's ups and downs. I really like some songs, but other ones fail to amuse me.
The songs are ok, but Elvis his voice is really annoying to listen to.
Did not hate that, but not a fan of Lou Reeds singing. Some songs were nice.
Normally, I don't like background noise on a studio album, and although the laughter was a little much from time to time, it just works well in this "jazz club" setting. I did enjoy the whole jazz feel of the album and I can picture myself listening to this with a nice peated whisky on a cold sunday afternoon. Love the bass and the saxophone sounds! In the end of the album, when the nice jazz sound was lost a bit, I did get bored. Last song did get me enthousiastic again.
Nice. Quite some songs I didn't know. Clear ABBA sound (but somewhat more matured) throughout the album. This album shows that ABBA has great musicians!
I do like the more soul-oriented songs. There was also a lot of crap found on this album.
Started well. Lost me a bit in the end.
YES! Eddie van Halens iconic guitar sound all the way through and it shows his the exceptional skills. Amazing album!
I went in fully open-minded again, but Electronic Dance Music fails to enjoy me. Some parts were ok. Even a few small parts were nice, but is was mostly terrible. Maybe a 8am train ride isn't the best setting, but I can't image any other setting would make this better.
I knew this album already and it's still a nice one. The simplicity of only a guitar, voice and harmonica, and in this case no need for more, really works. "Blowing in the wind" was one of the first songs I learned on a guitar and it brings me back to those times strumming the guitar until my fingers were fully numb. Nice!
As a christmas album it's quite ok, but since I like to listen to christmas music only one week a year, I can't give it more stars.
One of the greatest albums of all time and one of my personal favorites.
I like the harmonies of Paul and Art. Also a lot of unknown songs for me on this album, but I quite enjoyed this.
I love Jimi as a guitar player, but this album is a little too experimental.
Unknown artist for me, but it was a pleasant surprise! 80's sound all the way through
It was ok. Not exceptional
Some monotonous mumbling over an uninspiring beat.
This was some boring shit and it was way too long.
Brings me back to an evening on Curaçao at the beach with a beer. Good memories.
Music is fine, but not very interesting.
This was just an album full of cheesy, uninspiring music. Bored the hell out of me.
Nice songs, with some great guitar riffs. Songs were a little too heavy and album lacked a bit of variation.
Nope
Apart from Lust for life and the passenger, I didn't know any of these songs. I really enjoyed this and falls exactly in the genre I would normally listen to. Great album from start to end.
Music is fine, but nothing really stands out and it feels a very "flat". Fades quickly to the background.
A weird mix between some cheesy pop songs, country and blues. I did like some parts of this album, but it lacks cohesion.
Not a fan. First songs function well as background music and fade away quickly since there is nothing really interesting happening. The last songs, on the other hand, stay in the foreground but in a bad way. Just a bunch of noise.
Boring rap music.
I did like some of the songs. Some others were a little boring. Overall not very memorable.
I had some mixed feelings with this, but most of the time quite enjoyable
Terrible album and hard to finish...
Didn't really enjoy this. Really fades to the background due to the repetition of all elements. Doesn't really stand out.
Ok, but boring
With such an awesome voice, there is not much more you need than an acoustic guitar. I really liked it, but for the covers I liked the original songs better
Great album. Enjoyed this from start to end! And Carlos Santana is just a great guitar player with an awesome distinctive sound
Nice album!
Sound really similar to other BB Kings live albums. Still enjoyable.
Boring music. Fades to the background quickly and all songs on the album sound like any other Pet Shop Boys song.
Nice surprise. Especially liked the more soul-oriënted songs.
I like the overall energy of OutKast, but it just goes on for too long.
I like the music, but in a specific setting. Now it was just ok.
Didn't listen to this band before. It was ok. Not outstanding.
Nice. I love the way of featuring the guitar and organ. Would have been 5 stars if it stopt a little sooner, because after a while I got a bit overwhelmed with all the stuff that's happening.
The previous Wilco album lacked cohesion. This one is better in terms of cohesion, but I'm not really a fan of the sound on this album.
I can imagine that, when for example played in the supermarket, some of these songs will put a smile on my face. As an album I think it's just overproduced shit without any emotion.
Mehh
The songs are all in such a high key that the singer can't reach the high notes. That's just bad execution of songs that could have worked.
Nice feel throughout the album. Overall quite smooth and soulful.
This sucks.
Decent listen. Not as bad as expected
This is shitty hiphop on another level. I can't find anything I enjoy on this album.
Great album!
A little too raw. Fine for once.
This whole album feels like a joke, but it did put a smile on my face. Love the double bass going on with the walking bass lines!
Nice harmonies!
Nice
I enjoy some Stevie every moment of the day. What a musician! Great album, but a little too soft and not my favorite Stevie album.
Listened to this album while working quite focussed. Apart from the first song, I can't recall what was on the album, so it's not exceptional in a good or bad sense.
Boring
Killing me softly and no woman no cry are good, because those are great songs. The remaining of the album is just bad hiphop.
Quite boring.
Not my kind of music. It was not bad.
This is crap
This is some "in your face" - jazz music. The start was hard to get through, but once you get there the songs get better (or you get used to it). This is far too experimental for me, but I enjoy this more than listening to any hiphop album we've had so far. 2.5/5
Not very familiar with this band, but I really like the sound and vibe on this album. Great, easy listening rock music!
Nice, distinctive sound. Fun to listen to a full Duran Duran album instead of having some Duran Duran songs in a spotify list.
This album has some ups and downs. I did enjoy some parts, but overall it is not my kind of music.
That was a weird collection of songs put together on an album. Didn't enjoy it that much.
Wasn't bad, wasn't great either
Boring
I like some reggae from time to time, but a full album is a little to much. This album has some good songs.
Some songs are good and some guitar solo's are great, but now I know why I only knew Navarro from his time in RHCP
Nice
Didn't know this band and this album came as a nice surprise. Album has it's ups and downs, but overall quite fun with some surprising elements
That was just the amount of complexity I could use today, during work. Nice and easy listening.
Quite nice, but after a while it all sounds the same. Functions well as background music.
Appetite for destruction was one of the albums at the start of exploring my own taste in music and defininely is at the basis of my preference in music nowadays. GNR created my love for guitar fronted rock and Slash created my love for the high sustained and full bodied sound of the Les Paul. Very nostalgic and this must be the first album that drove my parents crazy. Just awesome!
Tough one to finish today. Songs are rubbish and the recording sucks.
This sucks as an album, the songs suck and also the individual instruments suck. Guitar sounds like the player bought his first distortion pedal and just had his first guitar lesson the day before. Bass player is pulling his strings like he has te compensate for something... Way too edgy sound. And the singing is just the worst of all.
That was quite fun
Great album!
Meh
Enjoyable, nice energy
Not bad, not my taste
First time it was ok, second time I found more I liked and really enjoyed it!
Love it!
If "Lupe Fiasco's Food and Liquor" was a restaurant they would serve a well done steak with undercooked fries and old lettuce, paired with a flat beer; unsatisfactory and a total waste of money and time. This is just a total fiasco!
Really like this early Beatles sound. Not the best Beatles album, but still great!
Nice
OK is not OK. Terrible
Nice! I only knew Burke from his collaboration with 'De Dijk' and I really enjoyed that album. This album is a great combination of soul, rock 'n roll and blues. Awesome!
Love it! The smoothness and soulfulness together with the great guitar tone is just perfect!
After 3 years, 5 months and 2 days, they came up with this? Although it has some interesting bass lines, it feels like a waste of time.
Very 80's. Don't love it, don't hate it
Nope
Great music and a great energy, but I am not a great fan of live albums. I really enjoy long drum solos while I'm at a concert, but on this album it is a little too much. Would have been 5 stars if this music, with this energy and without all the background noise, was properly recorded in a studio.
Not bad, just a bit boring.
No
Some songs were nice. Others not.
Awesome, only way too short!
At first is was nice, but it bored me a little bit after a while.
Awesome album! I love the layers in the recording and all the harmonics and the guitar playing by May is just perfect! Great diversity in songs containing a lot of creativity and without the annoying part in prophet's song, it would definitely be a 5 star album.
I really like the mood this album sets. Nice surprise!
Steely dan is one of those bands I still wanted to look into. After this album I definitely will! Great album, great layers, great guitar solos. Love the sound of rock highly influenced by jazz!
Not bad, but not my thing
Apart from some hits, this was boring
The first part sucked. The second part was a little better with some enjoyable moments. As an album it was way too long
Music is not bad. I really hate the sound of the singer...
Nice album, nice sound. Some songs were a bit boring
It was ok
Nice album. A little too calm to my opinion.
Great music, but I don't like listening to crowds shouting.
This is one of the worst things I've ever heard. Repetitive drums, similar in every song, combined with boring and annoying electronic noise.
Music is ok, but I don't like the singing.
Fun album, but wouldn't listen to it again. Get a little tired of Costellos voice
Not really a fan of the dreamy sound throughout the album and in particular the singing. Some song are nice, but as an album it is quite boring.
Great energized rock & roll! Awesome! The organ solo in Smokin' is great
Exactly what I expected from this and nothing more.
Great energy, fun album!
Very 80's, musically quite interesting and as an album quite enjoyable.
Boring...
Seven Seas of Rhye is one of my favorite Queen songs. Great album!
OK album, not exceptional and a little too noisy from time to time.
Starts of with some weird disco, 80's sound with a poorly, amaturistic arranged synth which is not a good fit with Cohens voice. The last part is what I expect from Cohen, but musically very boring. Not a fan
Some parts of the music are fun, but when they start yelling it is all ruined.
Nice blues, raw sound, good album.
At first it was a nice surprise. Great minimalistic sound, but after a while it doesn't stand out and fades to the background a little.
I can see what they're trying to accomplish, but it all sounds quite messy and the repetitiveness is really annoying.
OK album, don't mind listening to it, but also wouldn't mind if I missed this in my life. Nothing special
Soit
Musically I like it very much, but I get a little annoyed by Janis Joplins voice and overdramatic way of singing.
I knew I wasn't a fan and I'm still not convinced to become one.
I'm glad it was only 39 minutes of junk
I can listen to this all day long. Great riffs and solos! Nice album
Great!
Great voice and smooth sound. Good album, but get's a bit boring after a while.
Great jazz album. This sets some kind of mood that makes me happy
Nice!
Good idea, bad execution
Album with ups and downs. Mostly downs
Musically it was all fine, but nothing really stands out. Very boring
Not my thing.
Thats a whole bunch of sound going on and on. A little too much for me, but I liked it more than expected
Music is a bit dull. Just like their band name.
Not their best songwriting. Has some decent songs, but it all sounds a bit flat
Music is very nice, but I don't like the talking in between. I think you must have been there
So much funk and energy together with great bass lines is a five star album for sure!
Being an all time legend in music don't make all your ideas good. Apart from "Maybe I'm amazed", this albums is just boring.
Fun, but it feels a little messy.
Awesome album by Supertramp! Great musicians and a perfect recording. With "Bloody Well Right" as a personal favorite, I can't get enough of this.
Not really my thing.
Some songs are too much on the heavy metal side for me, but I like the guitar sound of Phil Collen.
Great energetic rock!
Album with ups and downs
Good album, but I prefer the rock songs over the acoustic folk songs
Boring
Good album, with some great hits. I'm more enthousiastic of the beginning and the album loses my interest a bit in the end.
Fun, nice energy. Got me enthusiastic, but eventually the Offspring is a one trick pony.
This album is perfection musically, solid recording and great in every detail!
Not really my thing.
Boring electronic shit.
This went from boring to weird to boring again.
After a while, the singers voice becomes really annoying. Also not very memorable
I immediately wished it was over.
Not really enjoyable. Boring music with some annoying repetitive noise. Also quite long
Fun album!
Awesome!
Mehh
Great surprise! Never heard of this band before, but that's the fun of this list!
Good chic album, but not great. I can't get enough of Nile Rodgers funk
Quite boring
One of the greatest albums of all time. Awesome from start to finish!
Album featuring some very good songs, with Eleanor Rigby as a highlight. Would be a 4 star album but "Love you to" and "Tomorrow never knows" ruin it for me.
I'm going up and down in rating this throughout the album. All in all it's to messy.
Great album. Very clean recording! Awesome
Awesome album! With life in the fast lane as a personal favorite
Not really into reggae, but it wasn't bad
Nice album. Has some great songs!
Great album
Although some parts are quite interesting, I'm not really a fan of this album. Too experimental and noisy.
Not bad, but probably wouldn't listen to it again
Great (blues) rock album! Awesome sustained guitar sound. Simple yet effective!
Not bad, not very interesting either
That was fun(ky)!
Bored me a little bit, but still ok.
Mehh
I'm struggling a bit with rating this album. Didn't hate the music, but the synth sounds annoyed the hell out of me. It's like someone is playing old school video games in front of the mic. In the end, not worth listening again.
Nice album! Really enjoyed the overall sound of it.
Smooth
Decent album. Not a fan of the overdramatic violin.
Nice album! Has some songs I was less familiar with, but I enjoyed it. Especially the very first chord.
Although, some songs are quite interesting and fun musically, I don't enjoy listening to Tom Waits voice. Also, at least half of the songs on this album suck.
Great live album and a nice interpretation of the word "unplugged". Album is good on it's own with some solid covers, but it is placed in a different perspective after Kurt Cobains death.
It started of a bit boring, but still okay. "Phenomenal cat" and everything after that is just bad.
Fun! Great energy!
They set some dreamy mood and in turns into some mess. Just not my kind of music.
Nope. I won't be listening to this again.
Album has some nice samples, but it shows once again how good music is ruined by hiphop/rap.
Nice
Terrible
Great album. Awesome smooth sound!
There is nothing good to say about this album and it feels wrong to even give it one star. What a shitload of crap
Nice!
Noisy shit
Great album, great voice, awesome soul!
Not really my thing. Didn't hate it, but I was glad it was over.
I think you must have seen the movie to really enjoy this. All in all not bad, but it didn't get me very enthousiastic.
Was ok. Not outstanding
Although, some parts are quite interesting musically, I can't help but think that it is completely ruined by vocal/rap parts.
Started fun, but bored me a bit after a while. Also, some parts are just bad.
Funky soul! Love it!
Enjoyed that one quite a bit. Maybe it helped that I listened to this staring in the dark through a train window.
It was ok. Got a bit distracted, then listened again and got distracted again. So, not really memorable
Bunch of noise. Not really enjoyable
Not really a country fan. I can enjoy a country song once in a while, but a full album bores the hell out of me. Musically, it may be good, but it doesn't get to me.
Hate the voice of Smith and has such an influence on the music that I can't enjoy any of the instrumental parts.
Fun, but a little out of control here and there
I keep getting surprised about the amount of shit that is made. Also, the fact that there is an audience for this crap is mind blowing. This album ruined my good mood.
Never listened to a full Arcade Fire album before. I quite liked this. Good energy and vibe troughout the album.
The first Metallica album I didn't hate, but apart from the hits it is just too much of the same.
Weird, unpleasant music.
Not really what I hoped for when generating a Ray Charles album. A bit boring
Nice energy, but it all feels very messy. Bass sounds quite aggressive and definitely contributes to the messy sound. Also the out of key/monotone singing did bother me a lot.
Awesome album. The use of delay in the distinguishable guitar sound of the Edge is just perfect! Great songs, great recording and an absolute classic!
Well, that was some experience. At least I'm awake now. According to wikipedia it's genre is "rap metal". Both words make me shiver, but the combination is surprisingly enjoyable from time to time. Especially, "Take a look around" was fun, but most of this album is still a bunch of noise.
Started a little boring. Last songs are more raw and more enjoyable. Not a big fan of Neil Young's voice and from a technical perspective not really outstanding.
Fun surprise, really enjoyable. Little raw, which is nice.
The concept is great, but the execution not so much. It feels like the symphony orchestra is added after a live concert of Metallica. I think the music would be a great fit for the bombastic, overdramatic sound of an orchestra, if Metallica would have embraced it more and didn't stick to their own versions this much. Also, not every song is a great fit.
It might be a cultural thing, but I can't enjoy this.
Boring
Good album, with some really great songs. A little too experimental here and there
Another hiphop shit show.
Awesome rock album. Personal favorites are Lazy and Highway star. Loaded with organ and I love Blackmore's guitar sound!
Mehh
Dreamy...
Some of the sampled music was nice, still not a fan of rap. After a while it was just boring shit.
Great album!
Musically quite interesting, solid recording and Adele has a great voice.
Quite fun album, although I'm not really a fan of the singer. The use of brass is nice and the songs have a great energy, but after listening to this album, I think the band is a one-trick pony.
I started back at the chicken shack and was amused all the way to the sunny side of the street. Then went back to the chicken shack and found myself smiling, while I hate chickens. Amazing, jazzy, bluesy music. I can listen to this all day long!
A bit boring
Awesome
Great album, really like the title track
Great guitar sound and great energy. Album lost me a bit on 1 or 2 songs, but overall very good!
Funky, groovy perfection!
Great harmonies, great recording, great everything.
Fun, but a little too raw
One of the greatest albums of all time by one of the greatest bands of all time!
Very soothing, but also a bit boring in the end.
Mehh
Good music, but it is so raw and unpolished that it sounds all quite amaturistic.
Good album, but quite long and not everything seems to stand out
Creative, but not really my thing
Not bad and the singer has a good voice, but it is quite boring.
I don't hate superfuzz or bigmuff pedals, but when you try to make your album sound like those effects it is going to be a noisy mess. Mudhoney succeeded in that part.
Not really bad, but didn't speak to me
Awesome guitar!
Not familiar with this band, but it is one to remember. Great soulful, jazzy sound. Interesting one
Not really my kind of music and listening to her voice makes me somewhat uncomfortable. Won't go there again
Fun, creative album. Quite diverse and interesting
While some songs could have lasted for 10 seconds and nothing would be missed, others are quite fun and feature nice samples. Album full of ups and downs
Very good album, with some absolute classics.
OK, but not my favorite R.E.M. album
I'm missing some quality here
Sometimes the guitar is quite nice, but the bass sounds terrible on this album.
Not the best The Who album
It all sounds quite flat. Not Prince at his best
Boring country music
This is one for the 2*-boring-album-bin
From a cultural perspective this might be quite interesting, but this Senegalese music is just not my taste. Interesting for once, but I won't listen to this again.
Dreamy. Nice album
I did not enjoy any part of this.
Surprisingly interesting album. I like the odd timings! Not really the thing I would listen to every day, but wouldn't mind to listen to this again!
Not much to say about this one. Not good, not bad
Great!
Everything that has an Alex Turner signature is gold!
Good Dylan album. Has some great songs!
I'd rather have mama knock me out than listen to this shitload of crap again.
Quite forgettable and I'm not really a fan of the southern American accent.
This brings back some nostalgic feelings
Great bluesy rock!
Sound a little messy.
I am familiar with the Kinks, but I can't help but think that the studio tried to enlist the beatles, got scammed and got some sort of beatles rip off. Still OK though
Terrible crap
Good background jazz
Not bad as background music. Bored me after a while, since every song sounds the same and nothing stands out.
Like listening to an overdramatic musical.
Boring
Nice voice, but that's it
Fun unique album. Great!
Fun tunes
This left me with the same feeling as the first time ordering an omelette in India. Somewhat unsatisfied by the fact that a perfectly good breakfast was ruined by the soapy taste of (too much) coriander. This album is fine, but has a unsatisfactory coriander sauce all over it.
Nice!
Blues as blues is meant to be
Great music and great voice, but then it went on and on for 3 hours...
Quite boring synth music. Doesn't really get me.
This album has definitely some parts I could enjoy, but -1 for kid rocks overall contribution and -1 for using auto tune this obvious in "only God knows why".
Noisy
Pretty ok, but I'm really not a fan of his falsetto voice.
See previous hiphop reviews
I think I should go to the dentist now...
Some boring country music. The first songs I liked were the first bonus tracks from the 1997 reissue...
Great singer and some great music!
Not really my thing.
Hiphop, autotune, needless to say more.
Great! I really like "Jamming"
Nice harmonies
Cool surprise with great bass lines
Fun, not memorable
Not bad for once
Not very good. Musically not very interesting and the vocals are really bad at times.
Nope
Crap
Great voice
Nice
Good album. I especially like the first and last song
Not really a fan of her voice
Ups and downs, but overall quite fun
Boring
Great
Ups and downs. Not worth listening again.
No
I'm not really surprised that this ends up in my 1-star-shitload-of-crap-dumpster, but I am surprised that there is actually an audience for this... This might be the worst thing I ever heard.
Not bad, but not really memorable.
Not really what I was expecting. OK for once, not really worth listening again.
Annoying voice
Not really my thing.
Has some great songs, but not my favorite Stevie Wonder album
Terrible, noisy shit. Completely out of tune and a struggle to finish the album
Boring
Not really my thing, but not bad
Another group of arrogant hiphop artists who think they invented the holy grail. The music, on the other hand, is groovy and funky (+1).
Boring and out of tune. Unpleasant listen
Don't hate it, but really don't love it
That was some complex weird shit. Not my cup of tea
Started of quite nice and interesting, but they lost me at the fairy tale part.
Musically, it had some fun parts. Not really a fan of the vocals
Quite boring. I was happy the album was over and then I had to listen to the same thing again with french lyrics...
While some of the arrangements are musically quite interesting, it all feels quite bland and nothing really stands out. Also, the interludes add exactly nothing.
It all feels quite flat. Only "A Forest" is really standing out for me.
Nice
I hate this as much as dogshit on the sidewalk.
Funky!
It starts fun and impressive, but in the end all songs sounded the same.
Not my thing
Album is too long, too noisy, too much screaming and also the last song on itself is too long. So, two stars will be too much for this album. I could have used my previous Sepultura review for this album as well; 'Nope'.
It's just bad and it goes on and on...
Enjoyed this way more than expected. Especially "Fighter" is a banger! Also "Impossible" and "Underappreciated" are worth mentioning.
Quite boring.
Nice album, reminds me of Led Zeppelin
Great!
Album title = review
Iconic, but a bit bland
Not sure what they were trying, but it didn't work out.
Solid Rock 'n roll. Just great!
Interesting and great organ!
Enjoyed this quite a bit, but a bit long.
Cool surprise!
Definitely has some good songs. Also, at first I thought that it wasn't that hard to sit through as it works well in the background, but at disc 3 I lost that feeling a bit... The singer has a great low voice
Here and there some interesting samples, but I still don't like this
Noisy
What you'd expect from joy division, not more and a bit less.
Album with ups and downs.
Sound is very 80s. Quite fun and energetic
Terrible
Good energy, little raw, but decent album
Fun, energetic and interesting.
Terrible noisy shit and the singer is way out of tune.
Although the album has some interesting and creative parts, it is not really for me. Too dark and not really a fan of the vocals.
It's all quite mellow. Works well as background music. Exactly what I expected from the Pet Shop Boys. Nothing surprising, nothing outstanding, nothing really bad. The perfect example of a "don't-care-3-star" album.
Funky! And way too short!
Energetic music, but not really a fan of Patti's voice
Album has a vibe that works well in the background. Fine for once.
Good times!
Nice, energetic and a little raw.
Listening to this I picture the end of a jam session: All musicians are wasted and can't play difficult shit anymore, the audience has left the bar already and there is one regular guest sipping his scotch and shouting "we want more". This would be a sign to go home.
The vocals in the first song were really bad, but eventually it was not that bad to sit through.
It's not great. Album feels rushed and messy. Not what I hoped for with the who, but it's ok for once
From a musical perspective, there is a lot of good things to say about this album. I won't, because country isn't my genre and I was bored to hell.
Great album!
That was a pleasant surprise, given I only knew them from their christmas song.
Not my taste.
Bad vocals.
This album is surprisingly versatile. Although it's really overproduced, I did enjoy this way more than expected.
Good album featuring some great songs like "knowing me, knowing you" and "money, money , money". Especially when you look at it from a musical perspective. The basslines are just perfect. On the other hand, "happy hawaii" and "Dum dum diddle" ruin it for me
Not bad, also not really my thing.
Motörhead is a one trick pony, but a fun one.
Boring country music
Thanks for ruining "comfortably numb".
I did enjoy this, but it fades quickly into the background. Nothing really stands out
The music is groovy, funky, jazzy and smooth. The double bass is awesome, but the vocals doing some 90's hiphop swag thing kind of ruin it.
This makes me feel very uncomfortable
Musically it's ok, but I Neil just isn't a good vocalist
This is just great. Great harmonies, solid guitar playing and great songs executed to perfection.
This might be the worst album on the list and the worst I've ever heard.
Musically it is OK, but I really hate Alanis Morissette vocals from the bottom of everything I have. Not to mention everything I hate in Ironic...
Musically pretty nice, but not really fan of the vocals.
Not great.
Just terrible
Very relaxing. 3.5/5
One of the all time best!
OK, but quite forgetable
This was all very unpleasant.
Quite fun.
Not really a fan of live albums and this one is no exception. Quite noisy and messy, but it does feature the best released version of "I want you to want me", so +1.
Nope
Very mediocre.
Very diverse with good ups and very deep downs. It also feels a little incoherent.
Very mediocre
This is just terrible repetitive shit. I hated this from start to finish.
Fine for once, quite mediocre.
Very nice!
Ok, but not very memorable
Just great!
Not a fan of his singing. Also quite boring.
Although the quality is not very good, it was quite fun.
Very mediocre
It's not bad, but all a little too depressing
Start wasn't great, but after two songs it became a little more interesting. All in all quite mediocre.
Boring and -1 for autotune
Nice background music
Too experimental.
Fun tunes, but a few songs is enough
Nice, but I think you should've been there
It is not bad, it is just really boring
I imagine this was what every boomer kid came into after school. Not really my thing
OK for once, but won't remember this tomorrow.
Has a lot of flaws and also not very interesting or outstanding parts
Album with ups and downs. Very mediocre
Nothing surprising, but also not bad
No
Funky! And the opening track is great
Is it music or background noise?
Beep Boop Beep Boop
I feel like I'm repeating myself in Neil Young reviews, but he just can't sing.
Nice
Boring
Only knew them from Valerie, but this was a nice surprise
Not for me
Some great songs. All in all too long and very mediocre. And with an album called "back to basics" I wish Christina kept it basic.
Boring
Not very memorable nor interesting
I wasn't familiar with this band/album, but it was a nice surprise at first. Great bass and brass, but it all sounded the same. It did make me happy though
Some great songs, but all in all quite mediocre
Good album!
Not really my thing.
Terrible
Quite OK
Some electronic shit... Music is very flat and uninspiring.
Repetitive shit. There's nothing I like about the album
Ok, but bores me a bit after a few songs
Quite ok, but I think you must have been there
Nice vibe and very interesting!
Somewhat boring
Album with ups and downs. Won't go there again
Although the vocals are really not my thing, it was quite interesting and diverse from a musical perspective
"DoA showcased some of our strongest work and established the course we would head in." If this is their strongest work, I'm definitely not listening to the other albums.
OK, but too long. Could've skipped the talking parts...
Nice! Great organs and guitar parts!
Solid album!
Quite messy and boring
Mehh
Not all songs are equally good, but this album does show the greatness of Fleetwood Mac!
Not a fan of his voice.
OK for once
Nice
Ok
Quite fun
Very smooth
Messy, but sometimes fun
Nice
Very 80's. More fun than expected
Awesome!
All in all, it is not bad, but also not outstanding. Bit messy, bit raw and not their best work.
Simple, bluesy, fun.
While I was expecting some "avant-gardistic" shit like "Trout mask replica", this wasn't that bad at all. Some fun bluesy parts, and quite interesting. Some songs were a little too experimental for my taste though.
Not for me.
There was nothing fun about this album. Why would anyone call this "Music"?
Has some good songs, but as a whole very mediocre
Ok, but not very interesting
Very nice!
Nice album. I liked the blues songs
Noisy crap
Little weird, especially for the time it's released. But decent album.
Nice album!
Solid
Not very memorable, but not bad
Some songs sound a bit like it could be a jamiroquai song and those can be quite fun, but there are more songs that are just shit.
Creative, diverse and interesting from time to time, but the execution could be better.
Not very inspiring.
Uninspiring electronic music
Boring country music. I did enjoy listening to "If you want to be my woman" though.
Weird, experimental music which would fit perfectly in some fairytale musical. Also, I don't get the appeal of Kates voice.
Enjoyed this quite a bit, but probably won't listen to this after today.
Just great!
This man should do musicals and it is not very interesting as an album
Boring
Has some fun songs, but not everything is great. Very mediocre
Terrible, but +1 for "Tides"
Solid rock album!
Quite impressive he wrote and played almost everything by himself. That being said, I liked side 4 of the album (where he didn't play every instrument) better. All in all a decent album, but not very outstanding.
Nice
Quite enjoyable.
It is indeed "Ill communication" if you keep on shouting to someone. When the beastie boys don't yell it is quite nice from time to time. So what would be the average of very deep lows and some good samples?
Boring
Simple, loud and not very inspiring, yet quite enjoyable.
Boring
Not very interesting
Fun britpop album. Since I've never heard of this band, this came as a nice surprise.
Terrible
Not really a fan of this genre. Fine for once
Awesome
Our house became a little more fun, but also a little noisier
Just solid rock. Great
I see what they are trying, but when the singer starts to sing it's just terrible
Not my kind of music, but was fine for once
Very smooth
Terribly noisy
Weird shit
This might've been the most boring thing I've ever heard.
Mehh
Fun for once
Not really interesting, but fine as background while doing some household chores
Nice
I'm glad it's over
Nope
I really don't get the appeal of this...
Not bad, but I'm not really a fan. Some honky tonk country songs mixed with some (better) blues songs. Good voice, but it needs some good music.
Somewhat alternative and interesting. But probably won't listen to this again.
Fun, but not exceptional
Mehh
Mehh
Quite fun
It's a lot of hiphop for a soul album. Not great
Great energy!
Not my thing. Terrible
Little alternative, little weird, but enjoyable.
Nope
Very 80's. I enjoyed it quite a bit
The music is not so bad, but the violin is terrible
Great rock n roll album.
Very unpleasant to listen to and they ruined a great rock song by doing some weird new wave shit
Another overrated punk album
Raw, energetic and great vocals. Nice!
Little soft, little boring
Good album, but lacks cohesion. Album has some great songs!
Music for angry people. I think I'm not angry enough... +1 for solid guitar riffs/solos
Some albums age like a fine wine. This one definitely doesn't. Just overproduced boring disco/pop. Kudos for "Black cat".
Very flat and uninspiring. Just another forgettable grunge/punk band
Good album. Has some great songs and great producing!
Not very interesting...
Interesting album!
Although the harmonics are quite good, their voices are annoying to listen to. Also very boring country music.
It sounds like elevator music, but I would go up and down all day long in this elevator. Great!
Not very memorable
Fun for one or two songs, but then it becomes the same over and over.
Mehh
"Earth people, I was born on Jupiter". I wish he stayed there.
Typical 3 star album
Good, but not exceptional.
Fun and energetic, but after a few songs it's all the same.
Very nice
The title of the 5th track says it all.
Why is there so much Costello in this list?
Has some nice songs, but the vocals are off too many times for me to get to 4 stars.
Solid guitar riffs all over! Awesome
Great album
According to his face on the album cover he is very angry at everything. Unfortunately I don't understand a word from what he's singing, but it doesn't sound angry. Still very boring though
Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, they brought in some hiphop artists... Terrible
Not for me.
From a musical perspective it's quite interesting, but a little too much. The vocals are just really bad.
Although nothing really stands out, I quite enjoyed this and the recording (especially bass and drums) is very good!
Quite nice
Boring country music
Little weird. Albums has ups and downs.
Harmonies, harmonies, harmonies!
Weird production. Too experimental
Not really outstanding
