1001 Albums Summary

At the beginning thought people were living in different time zones our jamming over zoom with a lot of lag but later on some bits actually sounded sort of okay

Ok pop album, wouldn't call it my favourite but is quite easy to listen to

Love the disco feel on this, quite easy to listen to and difficult to move a part of your body while listening to this

Pretty ok classic rock album

The second halve of I've seen all good people is probably my favourite part of this album. You can hear they are good musicians and I know steve Howe is a great guitarist but overall I feel like some songs lack a hook that catches my attention

Nice voice but a pretty bland pop album

Not really a huge Radiohead fan but there were some songs that I enjoyed, overall not amazing but wasn't a punishment to listen to either

Not really into radiohead normally but quite enjoyed this, the last two songs are a bit too much for me but overall pretty decent! Probably closer to 3.5/5 than 4/5 for me

This sounds like a stereotype 80s album but can still be nice from time to time

After a while I started wondering whether I was still listening to the album and whether it had finished. Not great not absolutely terrible either but probably will never listen to it again, it's just too boring

This sounds like stereotype Country and occasionally hints to early Elvis, I'd very much prefer listening to early Elvis over this

Somtimes felt like I was listening to a bridge of a song but turned out to be the whole song, other times just kinda boring

Started ok but over time got so zoned out of the music that It was just playing on the background without noticing anything

Generally quite enjoy NWOBHM and this is no exception to that, great album!

I enjoy Eminem's music but this is definitely not my favorite. Still a pretty ok album but prefer some of his later Work

Pretty much what you'd expect from a punk album

Some cool riffs but overall not really my cup of tea. They call it ..and justice for all and probably should start with justice for bass since the bass guitar doesn't exist and the bass drum is squeezed so much that it sound incredibly tiny

Pretty decent album for a first album, it gives a taste of their style but definitely prefer the more evolved Foo Fighters sound

The vocals make it sound like someone was selling the Beatles with 99% off but unlike a really good price for the Beatles you get music that lacks nice hooks and overall inventiveness.

Prefer Corey's singing in Stone Sour, here it's generally a bit too much "Look at me being brutal". There's some cool riffs but at times it feels the aim is to have all the elements added together to be as heavy as possible than to actually write a song. 2.5/5

At the first couple songs I thought "Nice, David Bowie vibe", After a while I got bored and preferred listening to David Bowie

Some nice electronic music, really enjoy the vibes in some of the songs while in others it can feel a bit too much at times. Generally works really well in the background

I don't really listen to country all that much but I quite enjoyed this

At the beginning I thought to myself "what's this?" later on it got better but as far as songs by yes go I really prefer songs like owner of a lonely heart and roundabout over any of these

Learned about this band through Flea and John Frusciante playing on their albums, haven't listened to it in a while and frankly forgot how much I like their music. I don't think I've heard mars volta music I didn't like but it does require me to be in a certain mood but when I am it's brilliant!

Nice indie rock songs but not really that special compared to other indierock bands

When it comes to blues guitar you can't really go wrong with Eric Clapton even tho I do have to say I'm not a big fan of the guitar tone on this one

Has some cool bite and has some bits that are cool from a musician point of view but listening can be a bit demanding. Would say it's a 2.5 stars that's closer to 2 stars than 3

Really just a great classic rock record, Seems I've listened to five finger death punch's cover of the song bad company more than the original but the hook is really catchy in both

I think there was one song where I thought "OOh, I kinda like this" besides that it's kinda meh for me

There are some Elvis costello songs I like but they aren't on this album, listened to it and was mostly waiting for it to be over

Didn't know This ABBA album but starting to seriously doubt whether they have any bad songs, Don't like it as much as Voulez-Vous but it's still really good

Probably one of the greatest guitar albums of all time, all the elements work really well together. Besides EVH's solos being awesome his rhythm work is also outstanding!

Brilliant Album! David Gilmour's plying I phenomenal, I think every guitarist could pick something up from listening to him play, whether you're into Yngwie Malmsteen or BB King doesn't matter. On top of that the songwriting is phenomenal and all the song really fit together!

Love the multi voices going on all the time and Mrs Robinson is a brilliant song!

Just allround a showcase of Jimi's brilliance on the guitar. It definitely falls in the category you can give any 3 musicians the same gear and everything but it will never sound like it does when Jimi plays it (even though some people have gotten dangerously close)

Some good riffs but generally shitty vocals (it's like he's just shouting in the microphone with no regards for melody whatsoever), I'm also not a big fan of the snare hitting on 1 2 3 and 4 a lot. I'm fine with it occasionally but for the first half of the album it's definitely way too much. In the later part of the album I started to notice some cool bits where I at least like the instrumentals

Love this album, it has a ton of attitude (it's more than their cover of the song attitude imho) and the guitars and vocals are all on point. I think some of my favourite slash guitar work is on use your illusion but the playing is simply stellar, hard to find a debut album I like as much as I like this

It's no wonder this is one of the few punk bands I actually heard of, at the same time I'm not suprised I never went into punk so much because the first couple songs were pretty cool to me but also got tired of it towards the end.

Can't say I really enjoyed it, neither can I say I didn't. Really just a good old nice album for in the background but not much more than that
