Reviews (page 12 of 13)

Pretty good album but the popular songs sound a lot better than the others

просто приятно. не могу чего-то выделить, но и поругать особо не за что вкусовщина

More goodie from CCR

Good album for doing chores to

Quality old school rock and blues

Maybe I liked CCR more than I realized. It's a shame writing a proper ending to a song wasn't invented until 1970. 3.5/5

I was listening to these guys last week, so seeing them again was kind of surprising. Not a bad album. I liked the lyrics, but I didn't pay too much attention overall. Generally good. Fave track(s): Tombstone Shadow, Sinister Purpose

partaj

Definitely a creedence album. Good vibes.

Pure dad rock. I am not a dad yet, so found it slow. Sinister Purpose is solid tho.

A staple!

Bluesy rock, fairly catchy but not one to revisit

Really liked his voice, not my personal preference

Bad moon rising, jako ich 4 najpopularniejsza piosenka. Tak nie powalił szczerze.

Not my favourite CCR album, but certainly an unmistakable sound from my childhood

Not bad but not amazing. Most of the A side is very good, but "Wrote a Song for Everyone" is weak - not a bad end to the side, but in my opinion not a good song. The B side just feels very low energy. "Bad Moon Rising" is okay, "Lodi" is pretty blah, then it picks up a bit with "Cross-Tie Walker" (which is still not amazing), then a bit more with "Sinister Purpose." "The Night Time is the Right Time" is a good way to close the album though, with a lot more energy than the rest of the side.

Mijn vooroordeel was dat dit toch wat saai zou worden, maar blij verrast door de goede sfeer en best toffe nummers.

Niet veel over te melden. Een zeventje.

This is one of the most easy to listen albums ever. I played it twice but there was near enough variation

Nothing really stood out to me even after listening twice. Was doing other things but really didn’t even notice it was playing

Not. Again. It's like when this supposedly random selection kept ramming Elvis Bloody Costello down my throat. This was ok, in that it didn't grate. But at best mood music – music for a mood I don't very much identify with.

Almost a 4

Best Song: Bad Moon Rising. Exactly what we come to CCR for. A quick song that gets in, makes its point, and gets out without wasting anyone's time. A good mix of white man's blues and rock. Worst Song: Wrote A Song For Everyone. Slow and cheesy. Overall: The high hits are great, but the rest of the album does end up feeling relatively flat and one-note. The vocals are so excellent here, I can't help wishing they would use more variability in tempo and intensity.

A mouth fulla marbles.

Good album but I’m still sick of them.

Bluesy rock, solide maar niet mijn favoriet

Nostalgic album from friends that have listened to this band during my life. Catchy songwriting, easy to play tunes for musicians, yet super listenable.

Pretty average. Kinda boring.

Pas pire pas pire

Neat country-ish riffs but not for me

Kain: Ihan ookoo. Athanasía: Isäni levyjä. Ei voi olla tykkäämättä.

Another nice album this. Sound length and some proper classics on here. Solid 3 for me. Possibly a bit biased because Green River reminds me of GTA San Andreas driving round with the Truth

Okay album. Its CCR so you get CCR

Never hated this band, and found myself tapping my foot and singing along several times.

Great classic rock album.

Enjoyed this. Vaguely familiar with a small handful of their songs, mainly from the Woodstock DVD I used to watched aaaagggeeesss ago. Much preferred their bluesier stuff to their more country style, but overall very good. Will return

ok. just ok

Nice traditional rock album. Short and quick listen.

Really enjoyed this. I've always liked what I've heard of CCR and as it turns out there is plenty more to listen to. I particularly enjoyed Wrote a Song for Everyone (reminded me of "The Weight") and Lodi Could see myself listening to this again, good driving album

I didn't know the name of the band, I thought might be Christian rock, but I when Bad Moon Rising came on I was like 'ah yeah this one'. I wasn't sure about this album at first but sorta got into it as it went on and enjoyed it.

Not bad, but not my favorite band/sound

Presently surprising and didn't realise this was were ‘Bad Moon Rising’ came from. Sounds like something Quentin Tarantino would find whilst digging in the creates to then put on his next film’s soundtrack.

I've heard too little of this band, but will always judge them by their brilliant cover of I Put A Spell On You, which was filthy. Filthy this album sadly ain't. Lots of blues-country-rock that doesn't go as far as it might have. Come on CCR, enough with the radio hits! Prime cut: Sinister Purpose (cos filth)

Solid album but didn't wow me

Out of the *three* Creedence albums that went out in 1969 (what a productive output that year, right?), my favorite will always be *Willie And The Poor Boys*, paving the way to their next LP (and masterpiece) *Cosmo's Factory*. *Green River* is surely a better record than the one before, *Bayou Country*. But even with its charts performance and upgrade in terms of recording and execution, it lacks some of the striking melodies that actually graced that earlier 1969 album--"Proud Mary" being the most famous demonstration of such melodic flair. In comparison to its two direct predecessors, *Willie And the Poor Boys* will have the best of both worlds here, with both "hits" and less straightforward cuts allowing the band to hone their skills in terms of songwriting and arrangements. To put it in a nutshell, I can't shake the feeling that *Green River* is very much a *transitory* record--an interesting one for casual fans like me, but not the stuff of legend that made Creedence Clearwater Revival such a legendary act later on. And as such, I prefer not to include it in my own list of 1001 essential records. Number of albums left to review or just listen to: less than 780, I've temporarily lost count here Number of albums from the list I find relevant enough to be mandatory listens:  approximately a half so far  Albums from the list I *might* include in mine later on: a quarter Albums from the list I will certainly *not* include in mine (many others are more important): the last quarter (including this one)

A lot more tracks on here yhat i knew than i would have ever guessed

Decent rock album

Probably the best of the CCR albums. A bit of quality control might’ve made one classic album rather than 3 good ones

I find CCR to be pretty boring, TBH. It's pretty basic Rock & Roll. John Fogerty's voice is the only unique element.

yeesh idk i was pretty underwhelmed, each song is pretty similarly unimpressive… bad moon rising is a classic but didn’t rly stand out, the instrumentals were nice but nothing crazy good. low 3

Definitely a nice listen

Good background music, probably good driving music. Didn't massively grab me in three listens but totally fine and listenable.

Well, some songs I love, some I hate! Something about that blues sound just really is like nails on a chalkboard to me, but CCR also has this funky rockin' side with just a Touch o' Blues that you never get tired of.

Not my genre but still liked a few songs

Nice and swampy - I enjoyed this album, which I hadn't heard before - only Bad Moon Rising.

Couldn’t complain about this one—solid CCR

enjoyable, couple good songs

Always thought CCR was over-rated. Iconic stand-alone songs but I can't get into the album

Now THIS is the type of music I've been listening to this summer... southern, 60's rock. It's one of my favorite genres of rock, mostly because of its heavier blues influence and twang. This album's a classic, and I still really enjoyed it. The perfect thing to play biking along the bayou here, or any summer day really. Green River was my standout song for this album. It's not my absolute favorite southern rock album, but its still a good one!

70/100: This is the first album I’ve come across so far that feels genuinely mediocre. I’ve listened to bad albums and great albums so far, but this one couldn’t be more “meh” in my mind than it is. With that being said, I fully expected “Bad Moon Rising” to be the best song on this album—as it was the only one I’d heard of beforehand—but I was shocked at how great “Wrote A Song For Everyone” was. In fact it was by far my favorite song on the album and I’d never heard it before. I will say, I’m disappointed I didn’t like this more, I’ve heard incredible things about CCR but have never taken the time to dive into their discography. I was really hoping, and maybe expecting, to find a gem here, but found instead an albeit clearly talented band simply pumping out different versions of the same song. I can see why some people love CCR, it’s a really cool mix of country and rock, but it’s not the best mix of those two genres I’ve ever heard before (The Eagles and Lynyrd Skynyrd just to name a few). Maybe this isn’t their best album, I certainly hope so because it’s intensely forgettable.

The reason CCR popular sound drives through on this Album. A few hits that I might revisit but will likely never listen to the album again.

Pretty good but has some weaker tracks.

Great album, I love the mood but this is just not my style of music.

some great tracks, followed by some empty fillers too. Vocal recording quality sounds too dated or effect heavy or something.

Basically what I expected it to be like. Didn’t blow me away. But I really liked the last track

best ccr yet

Love Bad Moon Rising. The rest of the album was decent but nothing out of this world. Still enjoyable. 3.5

"Green River", the track, gets you right into the album. "Bad Moon Rising" should be batting clean-up, but the 5 spot is fine. I didn't recognize a lot of the other songs, and I thought they were fine.

Great to drive to

Bitta fun. Good time but not a consistent replay

Fave tracks: Bad Moon Rising, Broken Spoke Shuffle (instrumental)

5/10 Preh good

My 2nd CCR album I've ever heard (1st was Cosmo's Factory). "Sinister Purpose", the title track, and "Bad Moon Rising" were probably my faves off of this.

This was good!

Wow, feel like you never actually hear more than the first couple of lines or Bad Moon Rising, in like trailers and shit.

Slow start. Liked the second half more

Green River is the third album from the American rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival. This was the second of three albums being released in 1969. Obviously the band was creating songs at a record pace to be able to release three albums in one year. Two of the songs on this album are popular ones from the band, and they are "Bad Moon Rising" & the title track "Green River". The album was certified gold one year after release, and 20 years later it was certified triple platinum. This is a great album from CCR, and has me interested in listing to more of their music.

Not one of their best. A greatest hits band in my opinion.

The live versions sounded a bit better I think. Green River opens nicely, Lodi is interesting, Bad Mooon Rising is a fave.

Not outstanding by my ears.

CCR is more of a best-of band to me. I like 'Bad Moon Rising' here but the rest blend together in the same sort of feel, which IS good rock, but I'm the kind of person who it the album isn't surprising me with different tracks, even if they don't all succeed, my attention wanders.

Not my favourite CCR (that would be Cosmo's Factory) but there's still a few all-timers on here (Lodi, Bad Moon Rising in particular).

I like a fair bit of CCR, but many of their songs don't hit for me (for example, Wrote a Song For Everyone was painful). Overall an okay album, held back by a few tracks that are forgettable or just bad. Also, don't like how the best song on the album is the shortest (Bad Moon Rising), while the worst song is the longest (Wrote a Song For Everyone).

Don’t mind CCR. Some decent songs and enjoyable to listen to. Have and will certainly listened to greatest hits of theirs. 3.5 if I could.

Good vocals and guitar. Lodi was the standout from the new-to-me songs.

It was alright, just average really. Even Bad Moon Rising didn’t have the same va va boom as I remember sadly. Average 3*

I mean there are some classic songs on there but it did seem a little 'twee' (?) perhaps. Strange. I enjoyed it but would I be rushing back for more - probably not.

One of their best and a fine rock album.

Better than the last album I listened to, but still meh...

CCR is the quintessential 'high 3' band. All of their albums are pretty solid swampy blues rock, but none of them are in any way transcendental. They're impossible to hate, but I find it really difficult to believe that anyone out there has ever had their mind blown by a CCR album. Also, why is the best CCR album, Willy and the Poor Boys, not on the list? You have Bayou Country over WatPB? Wtf?

Actually a pretty big fan of this kind of music 😝. Not something I would listen to on the regular but I can vibe with it.

Not in the mood for this today

Hvala John McClane što zbog tebe znam da onaj bend čija pjesma uvijek bude u 🇻🇳 ratnim filmovima je od Creedencea. That’s so cringe I love them.

Awesome. Great album, but kind of short.

Fun, bluesy, a few great stand outs, but a lot of the same otherwise

para estradas longas e áridas

Not as familiar as this ccr as others but still solid.

Recognize very much that this isn't quite my thing. It's not that I think it's bad or have any reason that makes me not like it but this wouldn't be earnest casual listening for me if I'm honest. It would be like cosplay and feel a little phony, though I could see throwing back some beers and washing my car on a hot summer day with this on and would enjoy that immensely for what it was. Surprisingly my takeaways were Glory Be and Sinister Purpose which are, respectively, totally instrumental and John Fogerty being at his least John Fogerty. Would throw those into rotation.

rock n roll, né, rooooolinggg, roooooling, pan pan pan, paranranran, panpanpan, tantan. bom, não sei diferenciar muito esses sons, onde acaba um e começa outro, mas é bom, é baita, gostei.

Not bad at all.

Good album, but kind of average, nothing really stands out.

Not for me, this type of rock just goes right over my head.

Anything by Creedence is nice, but as far as their albums are concerned, this is one of those that move me less.

As with Creedence before, this is just great fun. So many bluesy bands of the time we're po faced and dull as hell (see reviews passim) whereas Creedence are always doing it with a smile and a wink. Much better. I like a lot of the San Francisco bands of the time they keep it tight. 10 songs, just over 30 minutes. They say what they want to say and move on. And while it's fun, they can be serious. Wrote a Song for Everyone is a sad song about being a failure as a husband. Bad Moon Rising is fun, but clearly talking Cold War paranoia and Vietnam between the lines.

Buen disco!

good but didn’t give much 2.5

Nice, 3

It has been a great week of albums so far! CCR is always awesome so I had no doubts that this would be an enjoyable listen. I really like John Fogerty's voice as well as the unique combination of rock, country, and blues that made them stand out from other bands coming up during the late 1960's. They are just fun to listen to and don't feel dated at all. One thing I will say (and this kind of echoes the sentiments of Todd in the Shadows, an excellent YouTube channel that posts music reviews and retrospectives) is that I see CCR as more of a singles-band rather than an album-band. This stood out immediately to me when listening to Green River as some songs were weak when compared to there stronger tracks. They have plenty of amazing songs and could fill a greatest hits album with ease, this album is brought down a bit by their overall approach to the release of their music as track ordering doesn't seem to mean much to them. Overall, I would still throw this one on again, but I would rather listen to their greatest hits (there are other CCR albums on this list so I might change my mind by the time I get to those). 3.5/5.

ihan hyvää perinteistä kitararokkia. jos kantri ei ois junttia niin se kuulostais varmaan tältä

Syvissä jenkkisoundeissa on kyl tunnelmaa, peukku. Antaisin 3.5 jos voisin.

Pretty good swampy blues. Just as you'd expect from Fogerty and Creedance. Has the big hits. Probably not a classic classic album, so a high 3 out of 5

Saved Prior: None Off Rip: Commotion, Tombstone Shadow, Bad Moon Rising, Cross-Tie Walker, Broken Spoke Shuffle* Cutting Edge: None *Deluxe Album Overall Notes: Classic rock with a country twist. Pretty good. Nothing earth-shatteringly incredible nor terrible.

While there aren't any bad songs (The Night Time is The Right Time comes close though) I found that most of the songs were just pretty good, not great. Of course there are some classics here too. I would certainly listen to it again but I'd like to hear more of CCRs discography first. 7/10

Teljesen okés, átlagos country zene, ez van a fejemben ha valaki azt mondja country. Nem volt zavaró, de nem látom magam előtt, hogy a jövőben eszembe jutna hallgatni.

Enjoyable listen. Some nice little bangers, but overall not 100% my favorite sound. 5/10

I'm not too keen on country rock, however this album is quite decent. Guitar riffs are played well. Some songs such as The Night Time Is The Right Time have great aggression.

Easy breezy!

It's good but, it just doesn't do a whole lot for me. I think I like other Creedence albums a bit more. 3.5 to 3.

Overall decent country blues rock from CCR. John Fogerty's voice can grate after prolonged exposure to your ear drum but it's not that bad here thanks to the concise album length. While 'Green River' and 'Bad Moon Rising' are the generally known quantities (and good songs in their own right), it’s 'Tombstone Shadow' and their version of 'The Night Time Is The Right Time' that are the startling revelations here and are worth the price of admission alone

Good bluesy background music. 3.5/5

i think it was good idk

This was a nice album, but I don't have too much to say about it. For me, it's far from "Cosmo's Factory" that is also on this list and is much better. Cool classic 70's rock.

Fogerty's voice is awesome, even as backup vocals. CCR is a known quantity, so no surprises from the music, though it was fun to find out they were a SF-based band in the summer of love.

Classic CCR …. Enjoyed this album

While I think their greatest hits album is the best, I'm more than happy to explore some of their lesser known songs. They don't disappoint, but many don't stick out either. Either way, CCR is a classic rock band and Bad Moon Rising is enough to put this higher on the list than certainly all the live albums we have seen.

It's CCR. Have you ever heard any CCR song? If so then you know this album already, it's exactly as you imagine it to be. I'm not saying all the songs sound the same but... well, yes I am. It's a pretty good song though.

Didn't leave an impression

Starts strong. Most songs are pretty fun, although it's maybe a bit more country than I'm into. Particularly liked: green river, sinister purpose Didn't like: wrote a song for everyone

CCR rips! This album begins as a soundtrack for getting tossed through saloon doors by overzealous bouncers. "Commotion" boarders on psychobilly territory and would be awesome to witness live. Swamp rock for the win! But then the album loses that fiery tempo and the sleepy tunes do nothing for me. Lastly, "Green River" & "Bad Man Rising" should be get some recognition here for being absolute bops. 🌟🌟🌟

I had never heard a CCR album from start to finish before - I was never raised on them especially. But I was glad to have heard Bad Moon Rising and now place a name to it, it is one of those songs which is ubiquitous in bars and occasional films. Lodi, Sinister Purpose and I Wrote A Song For Everyone are standouts for me. I really liked this album! Not my usual cup o' tea, and I don't gravitate towards old school folk and country so much, but I am glad I took a detour to this one. A lot of ppl comment on the YouTube videos that "it was a good time, glad I was there". I was unsure if this was another CCR lyric but it is as good as one, and I think I might revisit this album now I have a taste of it, later down the track.

Nice album.

Richtig nice, eher 3,5 bis 4 Macht Spaß, genau was man von nem 69 album erwartet. Auch die 3 live Songs sind toll

Of the country albums I've encountered so far this foray into early southern/country rock was definitely a bit more appealing to me. It still never hit a real personal note but there was something about their jangly southern rock that was definitely a bit more engaging than some of the other old school country artists.

Classics everyone has heard a million times (not sure I've ever listened to a CCR album besides the Greatest Hits) with some deep tracks that are every bit as good as the hits. Great listen for this morning. 40th Anniversary Edition bonus tracks - "Broken Spoke Shuffle" and "Glory Be" are fantastic instrumental tracks!

Um álbum de rock agradável e pacato, o bad moon rising é uma excelente cantiga, as restantes não chamaram a atenção. Nota:6/10

KKona Clap

upbeat. solid 3. 4?

Quite enjoyable, relaxing music.

Not bad, not great

Good old classic, easy to listen too. Nothing amazing on the other hand.

A strong album of its type which includes the classic ‘bad moon rising’ but not a classic album in and of itself. A tight band of accomplished musicians but a bit ‘southern rock’ run of the mill for me

This sounded better the first time around...

Green River always has a warm place in our hearts. The way Fogerty and the boys created the album was loads of work to get it all together. Green River is the first Creedence Clearwater Revival album that follows an awesome formula that made them such hitmakers in the history of rock. CCR’s Green River was indeed one of the bands who paved the way for psychedelic music, and this is why the band kicks ass. John Fogerty, in this album, showcased his vocals and made damn sure that his voice was one of the best in rock n’ roll ever. And as a whole, Green River shows the band moving forward from some of their extended jam sessions of previous albums and focusing on greatness and more direct radio-friendly without having to lose their rock roots. Final thought: Green River is the first Creedence Clearwater Revival album still wholly listenable to this day.

A favourite of Jeffrey Lebowski and my father-in-law. If The Dude and the Russians are in agreement, who am I to argue.

Solid Bluegrass Rock

It was pretty good, a little country for my taste, but it was pretty nice to listen to regardless.

It was good, but not really my thing.

Pleasant, functional, American rock'n'roll album. Not massively interesting, but enjoyable.

5/10. I just couldn't get into this much, felt a bit dull, and dragged on a while.

A little to twangy for me, but still not bad!

I love CCR but think I've been conditioned to like their compilations... The hits are the hits and the songs that didn't make the Best Of's over the years are a little dull/repetitive. Still, Bad Moon Rising, Night Time is the Right Time, and Sinister Purpose are bangers. 3.5.

Perfectly functional classic rock / folk rock. Listened to it twice and most of it didn't leave that much of an impression. Fave track - "Bad Moon Rising" for being the most identifiable one!

CCR really grates on me, but there's no doubt it is solid and Wrote a Song was a cool surprise I didn't know. Still, John Fogerty's too drawlish voice isn't my thing, down 1 star.

Yeah, so guitars and cat voices. Wasn’t *bad*.

not bad

Classic Creedence!

Great album to listen driving to the beach, but is not a band I can listen every day.

Love these boys. This one however, not so much.

Calm, very 1960's. Wouldn't personally listen to again

I liked it better than Janelle Monea but it's not something i would happily listen to on repeat. Good guitar riffs

Bad moon rising is excellent

CCR toimii meikäläiselle jostain syystä aina!

Tuttua peruskauraa

Swap rock country blues.... exactly how you imagine; no surprises

1. green - 2 2. comottion - 2 3. zhadouu - 1 4. zong - 1 5. moon - 3 6. lodi - 2 7. crozz - 2 8. zinizter - 2 9. night - 1 10. zhuffle -2 11. glory - 2

lwk I don’t really like cus it’s so slow

good album, just not my taste usually

I sincerely didn't understand what is so great about this, feels pretty generic?

some ok songs, stilll nothing i will listen to myself, not my style

Nice and short but does not start well, the slower tracks are better, less monotonous. Just not liking it. 2.5 rounded down great to release 3 mid albums in one year. Heard before? Some Owned: Yes, 87/333 (26%) Will I get: No

Good album. This is the one to recommend to someone who has heard of CCR, but never heard a song by them.

No me lo acuerdo mucho pero creo q era un album de folk genérico

I sprouted some chin hears and lost a tooth while I listened to this. 2.5

Oh I fuck with this It’s getting kind of old now Ooh tombstone shadow cook it up I guess 😼 Very southern night

1. Gitt chli beatles und rolling stones vibe 2. Isch okay aber nöd so mis 3. Mega kurzi lieder (guet) 4. Chan guet si wenn mer im mood isch aber es macht nöd e eigeni stimmig so wie anderi albe, nöd besonders gueti lune, trurig, nachdenklich, ruhig 5.

Such an iconic band, so much talent. Fav song is ‘Bad Moon Rising’.

Brother I gave Maverick A Strike a 4 what the fuck do you mean 2????? However, this is a 2. And a boring 2 at that.

I don't like country

Bancamos a CCR, muy bueno todo, pero no lo logro, me aburre. Es música de ruta, y ni siquiera es lo que yo escucharía en la ruta. Simplemente no es lo mío. No es cuestión de calidad igual.

green river: 4/10 commotion: 3/10 tombstone shadow: 5/10 wrote a song for everyone: 6/10 bad moon rising: 5/10 lodi: 6/10 cross-tie walker: 5/10 sinister purpose: 5.5/10 the night time is the right time: 5/10 kinda sucks

Pretty much in line with what you expect by seeing the album cover. In no way was it terrible, just not really for me.

"sinister purpose" is okay. 2.5

CCR is not my cup of tea.

2.5/5 Best Song: Bad Moon Rising Worst Song: Tombstone Shadow Weirdest Song: N/a Honorable Mention: Lodi Creedence is pretty straight forward Southern rock. A few catchy tunes but nothing that really stands out apart from the classics. Lots of repetitive guitar licks.

Hört sich nicht schlimm an, aber sehr monoton vom vibe, und überhaupt nicht mein genre. ich glaube nicht, dass ein song es in meine playlist schafft. 18052026

It turned out i am not really big fan of classic rock-and-roll I guess

álbum de pai e outros caras velhos talvez divorciados que frequentam pub, não é meu tipo de música mas tem algumas legais

Bad moon rising five stars.

sick. never heard a full album from this band. this isnt doing much for me. sad

Ei mee mihinkään

Green River - Good Commotion - Decent Tombstone Shadow - Decent Wrote a Song For Everyone - Decent Bad Moon Rising - Good Lodi - Decent Cross-Tie Walker - Good Sinister Purpose - Stylish The Night Time is The Right Time - Decent Broken Spoke Shuffle - Decent Glory Be - Decent

Classic CCR Album, wish there were more bangers, somehow got me in the mood to listen to Ska-Punk music so that was weird

Eh. I dig CCR for what they are. But this is middle of the road, playing it safe rock.

This just isn’t really my thing..

Lo escuché mientras maqueteaba

It’s all fairly enjoyable standard fair, but then you hit ‘Bad Moon Rising’ which is an undeniable classic.

“Bad Moon Rising” is objectively a great song - the rest of this was just standard fare. Nothing necessarily wrong with it, just not that exciting.

No me gusta Creedence, asi que 2 por las dudas

album un po' vecchio, quasi country direi. chitarre molto presenti e tra tutte le canzoni sono poche riescono a spiccare nonostante siano tutte valide, ma non è quello che cerco

I found this album very boring

Ok not my fav

No sorry

chillig

Totally Blues, roots rock, now honestly sound old, for sure was an incredible success

il country mi fa cagare

mega skippable background music

Pretty sure they just played the same song 9 times in a row.

Nothing wrong with this. It’s exactly as you’d expect it, and anything else would be disappointing. Another band that has bypassed me completely over the years, but this did nothing for me to regret that. I only knew Bad Moon Rising on here. Great for what it is, but highly unlikely I’ll revisit it or feel the urge to hear CCR again.

Not a fan, but there were a couple songs that had my head boppin

Ccr are legends but I’ve been inoculated to this style of country to put this album among my favorites

not beating the singles band allegations

Good but I'm sick of the bayou boss

good option for road trip!

sss. ts ok

A real nothingburger. Not for me.

Added "Sinister Purpose" to THE playlist. Love the country guitar with it's riffs and solos. Based on "Bad Moon Rising" I thought I would like their music more than I did.

Nice to remember some of the d tubes I like the rock in the first few songs more than the more popular ones

Entiendo pq le gusta a los papás y abuelos, pero no me gustó tee-hee.

Didn't get into it as much as cosmos's factory. No song really stood out.

Buen driving music.

I hate to give them a low rating, but the album didn’t grab me

A little more than a week since I was last subjected to CCR; I wasn't ready for another round. Not my thing, although I didn't object to it as much as the last one.

Sympa en fond mais pas marquant, est-ce que c'est de la country ?

Just fine. Kind of boring.

Not as bad as I thought it would be. It would be a 3 if it weren’t for those awful vocals

Decent 2. This just isn’t for me. I think there’s better stuff out there that has a similar sound. I’m not connected to this at all and didn’t really have any song I liked. I really don’t like the vocals either. I can appreciate the musical ability and talent so that’s why I’m giving it a 2 instead of a 1, but even so, it’s just not my thing.

Some greats, some I'd forgotten about, some eh

"bayou country" by them is much better for me. here, they used the same formula for almost all the songs, and at some point it started to annoy me :Þ the fav one: sinister purpose (3.75/5)

Just a bit bored by this

too country

Good guitar work and vocals, but through modern ears it mostly sounds like a generic classic rock/blues album - cheesy in places, a bit samey, and nothing really stands out. I get that records like this helped create that sound, though. For the record, I’ve never liked Bad Moon Rising.

Not the credence I know.

Heard Before? Yup, but never deliberately. Notes: - the best thing about any CCR album is the short songs and brief total runtime. - clear, dry recordings with a fantastic bass sound. - vocals are as distinctive as ever, powerfully emotive even when the lyrics are awkward or pointless. - rural sounds for city boys. nostalgia porn set to a jumpin' rhythm section. Verdict: Tight, energetic and occasionally fun. I just have a hard time understanding what these overplayed songs have to offer to anyone who's not stuck in 1969. Listen Again? I won't run away screaming if I hear it in the background somewhere.

Just felt a bit bored by this, didn’t do much interesting. Washed over me without much impact and wouldn’t listen again.

I've never been the BIGGEST fan of country so this album doesn't really stand out to me that much. The instruments and overall production are great, but I just have a personal preference regarding the sound genre itself. It's nice to have this playing in the background though, and I really enjoy the slight rock influence.

Bad Mood Rising is a classic for good reason, but otherwise the album was boring.

Listening to this album takes me back to those sun-soaked summer nights of my teenage years. I can almost see myself perched on a worn plastic chair, gazing at the swirling disco lights illuminating the dance floor of the holiday park. It's a vivid memory, filled with older folks swaying to their beloved 'classics,' their laughter echoing around me. The album evokes fond moments, yet it also stirs a sense of disconnection. The simple melodies and nostalgic vocals whisk me away, but I often find myself yearning for something deeper. I remember retreating to my CD Walkman, searching for a sound that felt more like home. Even today, as I listen, that feeling remains—a bittersweet mix of joy and longing.

All around meh. A few hitters but most was in one ear and out the other.

Already rated one of their albums and this one is slightly better than the previous one but the hits have been overplayed on every radio station for years and the rest of it is just background music for me so it kinda leaves me cold

I can appreciate this band and their influence on the music scene altogether but.... i guess this album is just not my cup of tea

it's the one with bad moon rising on it

I’m sorry to say this type of music just does not really excite me and so I couldn’t even really pick out any notable moments. On the plus side the album was quite short

short and uninteresting

The 60s equivalent of Status Quo

Way too much folk for my liking

Aivan liian hevosjazzia

1: Lodi 2: Wrote a Song for Everyone 3: Bad Moon Rising

all a bit repetitive for me..but didn’t realise they sang bad moon rising! favs: bad moon rising, the night time is the right time

Good but wasn't in the headspace to listen properly

not a bad listen but it sorta feels more like background music you’d hear in a texan pub. a bit forgettable

Not my style, found it boring

??? mhhh early rock -> "I Heard It Through The Grapevine"?? c

Enjoyed Green River and Bad Moon Rising, but no other standouts. Agreeable background listening but not the most interesting.

In my opinion it feels like old junk

I just don’t like blues that much 🤷‍♂️

not bad, not my thing. Background music 2/5

not bad but not for me. December 17, 2025.

listened to 6/9 songs, it was fun

not a fan of tombstone shadow

Not too many times you hear 2 lead guitars play the same note 32 times in a row. Not their strongest.

Quite a let down here. This just doesn't have the excitement I would expect from similarly labeled music from this time period.

What a let down. The album immediately preceding this, from the same year, had such a great initial connection with me that I was honestly expecting to at least appreciate this one. Near the end of the original tracklist we see some greater musical investments, which doesn't make the strong dose of Americana at the beginning any easier for me to consume. I suppose it's not bad Americana by any standards, but doesn't have enough spark to pull me towards it, as a non consumer of country related sounds. 2/5

I know the end is coming soon.

awoooooooo

Creedence time - bring on the Bad Moon Rising! I'm surprised to see how many songs come in under the 3 minute mark Nice to hear the album all the way through, but a greatest hits collection is really all I need, and the other album tracks are just not my bag

A classic single, but the rest of the album while pleasant, easy-listening is not memorable for me. Probably better as a live act.

I knew Bad Moon Rising. I don’t like John Fogerty’s voice. It was nice and short though.

only downloaded bad moon rising, was good but didn’t enjoy it as much as i thought i might

Det går inte att lyssna på en hel Creedence-platta utan att bli uttråkad. En tvåa

Didn't excite me at all. Plodded along just fine though. Tricky gig coming up in this project when the Rosalia album is imminent.

inte jätte förtjust i stilen, dessutom ganska intetsägande :|

Another 2

No thanks

Bad Moon Rising is one of the wackest songs ever and that is a hill I am prepared to die on. Rest of the album was okay

Note my kind of music at all

I dunno, this album didn't really hit for me. Bad Moon Rising has over a billion listens on Spotify, but it just felt bland to me. They call it rock, or Swamp Rock, but it just feels more like country to me. I can see this album being a reflection of everyday life back in the 60's/70's and I can hear it, but it just doesn't hit. They had 3 albums in 1969. That's a bit much. They have a solid sound so it's not hard to imagine being able to churn out music, but it all just feels so safe. They found their comfort zone and they just kinda sit there. Might come across as blasphemy, but it feels like CCR is the old version of Coldplay or Imagine Dragons. Very vanilla, very solid bands that play to their strengths and produce great music, but don't expect any surprises. It's no wonder so many people still love them after so many years: because they're safe and familiar. Feels like i'm being overly harsh, but when I hear about people's love for CCR, I expect a bit more. So safe. No risks. Just easy strumming. Pretty sure someone with no guitar experience could learn any CCR song in a day.

The kind of music I like to watch live but don’t appreciate otherwise. Just not my thing. 2/5

not my thing

Listened at work

I appreciate this, but it was just a bit to hokey for me.

Nothing memorable here, but it nicely jugs along I guess?

Återigen får man ifrågasätta valet av album. Nog är både "Cosmos factory" och "Willie and the poor boys" bättre album?
