Reviews (page 13 of 13)

As with all CCR, lots of filler interspersed with lots of bangers. The fillers here really interrupt the string of bangers.

I can’t particularly pinpoint why I didn’t enjoy this, but I just didnt

4/10 - I don't know, just seems overrated, one song had over a billion listens! but nothing special at all, just ok

I guess I'm overly familiar with CCR. If any of it were to come on the radio, I would change the channel.

Creedence Clearwater Revival are one of the most classic, all-American bands ever. They definitely do not sound like any of their blues-y peers from either side of the Atlantic. They are also, however, incredibly boring. Clearly an American specific sound, because it doesn't translate over here at all. Key tracks: Green River Bad Moon Rising

This is my second Creedence album and I have to admit a bit of a disconnect. There are moments when I can really see what others see in Clearwater: Green Water, Bad Moon Rising and Lodi all have a bit of pop appeal embedded into its sound which rounds out the songs nicely, but elsewhere Revival’s songs are lacking an X factor for me.

Enjoyable southern blues rock, no real standouts for me. I suspect their other albums of the era probably had more to offer, this one was made so quickly after the last one... Still, perfectly fine, inoffensive music if a bit samey. I can see a lot of the influence this music has had on later artists.

Feels too produced and homogenised for me (but thst could be the remastering). Prefer the genre called swamp rock to be much dirtier sounding.

Absolutely safe, predictable, nothing-affirming, nothing-challenging Wurlitzer rock. Yawn.

Another Americana folk rock album. Strong melodies, but still kinda boring. 'Bad Moon Rising' is on this which has become a song heavily used in advertising. Sounds like a joke song in 2025.

How do we get 3 CCR albums and none of them have that song about seeing the rain, their best one by miles?! Pleasant but plodding Americana. It's the same 12 bar blues chugging along over and over again with a folksy arrangement, predictable guitar licks, and a warm vocal delivering the lines. Inoffensive but so dull - them and the Band are some of the most overrated acts of the 60s. The Dude was wrong - the Eagles are better than this. Favorite: Lodi

this would go crazy if i were a white boomer

Dad rock derogatory

Great musicianship, but classic rock n' roll just ain't for me. Favourite tracks: Bad Moon Rising.

Not really my thing

Good quality rock and roll, but lacking inspiration. This album feels too simplistic for its time, and is outclassed by other rock groups. 2-2.5 stars

Not my thing

Fine but dull. As is often the case with this era and genre

1969 A bit twangy for my tastes. It's OK, not my thing, but I get it. I'm not upset by it, and 'Bad Moon Rising' is a tune, although being scarred by endless pub covers bands trying their best to emulate CCR's sound has left me not really needing to hear this again. Heard before ❌️ Listened this time ✅️ Revisit ❌️ Just OK ★★☆☆☆

Quite a interesting album, it's a very old type of rock. A pleasant listening but definitely not on my favorite list 2/5

Not my favorite, probably wouldn’t listen to again. Had a few okay songs, but just not really into this style.

If you grew up in the US, this album is probably deeply ingrained in you. You probably heard it at BBQs, heard cover bands do CCR songs at the local country fair, and tapped your foot whenever the songs came on the radio. But I'm not from the US and this album doesn't resonate with me at all. And, if I'm being honest, it feels weird to listen to four white guys playing blues-rock.

2 stars CCR was prolific in a short period of time. They created a lot of great music. But their albums front to back were not consistently great. They have filler. So despite having great tracks, this is an example of a lot of forgettable filler surrounding some good singles.

According to Lily Allen, this is God's favourite band Also.. Not my cup of squash

I feel like the sound wasn't too bad, but I listened to the album twice and no matter how hard I tried I would just zone out

☀︎je me sens comme si j’étais dans le far west ☀︎j’ai l’impression que les chansons manquent toutes un peu de quelque chose

not super memorable

Monotonous and uninteresting. The vocal sounded like he recorded it straining on the toilet. Once I had that picture in my mind I couldn't get it out. Neither could he it seems. Even the song I knew fromm my youth - Bad Moon Rising - sounds a bit crap now. Debating whether to give it a second listen. And even Outkast got that. It wasn't as absolute shit as Outkast though so it's probably a 2.

Ok folk/rock - the whole album was a lot, maybe better in small doses

This was a tough listen. It just felt tired and boring and kept dragging on despite being only 45 minutes long.

Couldn’t really get into this one. Swampy!

Me es totalmente indiferente

an ocean of annoying country with some pearls of smooth rock

I like Cosmo's Factory a lot but this was boring. Not bad at all, just totally fine.

One of these reminded me of that episode of The Simpsons where they go to the worlds fair, but that was the best bit.

Old white guy music not in a fun Creed way

I get it, they did that one song about Vietnam. I can see maybe one Creedence album on this list, but just cause 2 albums have 1 song worthwhile each doesn't make them both a 'must-listen'

big meh. one good song with bad moon rising

Tombstone Shadow sounds like a song that would play during a scene in a 60s/70s period piece where the characters are naked or doing drugs and I’m watching the movie with my parents and we’re all uncomfortable. Also, I like how the lead singer sounds like an elderly muppet

Getting a bit over all of the classic rock albums from the 70's. This was fine but the variety is lacking.

This was fine, I guess. I’ve never been a huge CCR fan, but I can appreciate how different they were at the time and why people liked them so much.

This is in keeping with the other CCR albums I've heard: yes, there are some nice songs (in this case I prefer Wrote A Song For Everyone and Sinister Purpose to the more popular Bad Moon Rising and Green River, which don't do much for me), but there's a lot of quite ordinary sounding country rock 'n' roll too. 2.5

Has bad moon rising otherwise just fine

2 sterne

It's allright.

Meh. Just bad moon rising

The best part of every CCR song is the tambourine and it's hardly on this insanely bloated (for being so short) album. Title track goes so hard though

It's not bad for a 60's rock record. I couldn't work out what their singer was saying in a couple of songs. No way was he singing 'Wrote a song for Everyone' in that chorus. But in the whole it passed half an hour pleasantly enough.

Really country and old sound. Most of the songs so far are lost on me. It goes from one ear to the other. Wrote a song for everyone has a good instrumental.

Not my taste in music...

It's good, but their greatest hits compilation collects the best stuff on here. C

I mean it's okay? But lacks even one song that stands out. Just totally didn't resonate with me

good, pleasant to hear, but again, just for the background. I can't enjoy so much music of this kind, classic rock, because all the songs sounds very similar and I'm getting bored fast

I can appreciate its history, but it's not my taste. Sinister Purpose is quite good.

I thought I would like this more than I did. I do know and like some CCR songs, and I understand the whole roots philosophy, but this album just didn't do it for me. I found the instrumentation to be bland. I didn't find the lyrics to be particularly interesting, foreboding as they were. Fav tracks: Wrote a Song for Everyone, Bad Moon Rising

undeniably groovy but somehow a slog to get through at only 29 minutes. title track is an easy standout pick but unfortunately its all downhill from there. "wrote a song for everyone" reminded me of jets "get born" which i thought was interesting.

I was pretty excited about a CCR album, but aside from "Bad Moon..." which is still great, I just didn't vibe. Surprisingly meh for a band I tend to enjoy.

It’s fine. Overall, it’s too loud and too country for my taste. It’s the kind of music that’s playing at a bar you don’t want to be in. Can’t get into it. 2/5

In a nutshell: cut-copy-paste swamp rock CCR is already on the back foot because of oversaturation. They would be fantastic live in a dingy blues bar seeking respite from the humidity. That live bar band vibe carries through to the studio recording. I do not like John's voice at all. Fake accent, one trick vocals. There are occasional nice guitar solos, I can see them from a mile away though. Many songs feel similar to me too. Formulaic. It's not necessary to have one or two covers on each album either, guys (eyeroll). Sticking to their lane served them well. IMHO, the band should have merged the tracks from Green River and Bayou Country then cut the fat to make a single LP. Overall: 4/10

Je connais, pour les avoir joué, Bad moon Rising et Lodi. C’est la première fois que j’écoute un album complet, mais je n’ai pas accroché sur les autres morceaux. =>2/5

I often think CCR are overrated, but it's hard to deny how tight they were. I still don't love Fogerty's affectation (no one from the Bay Area ever sounded like that without laying it on thick), but rock and roll is strong with these boys, that's for sure. Unfortunately, to me they sound somewhere between Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Doors (better versions of the two), neither of which are a compliment. It's a hell of a 29 minutes though, even if I don't fully enjoy their sound. "Wrote a Song For Everyone" sounds a bit like The Band, and I wish more of this sounded like that. That cover at the end is a big thumbs down though.

Vieux rock 2 bon sons

Another CCR that doesn't add anything different. Zero score, they are good but not worth three albums on this list. Thankfully it's short. OK it's good but it's just the same CCR song over and over again just like the other two albums. Like I said before this list is just making me mad.

Goddamn, this was dire as fuck.

Typiskt one-hit-wonder band Bästa låt: Tombstone Shadow

Helt okej album fastnade inte direkt men inte alls dåligt Bästa låt: Sinister Purpose

I enjoyed elements of this but it didn’t really hook me in. 5/10

it’s okay - none of the songs REALLY stood out to me and the album didn’t go anywhere really but I liked commotion the most album cover is sick as tho icl

Thankfully the last, and most tolerable, of the CCR albums on this list. There are even a couple of decent tracks ("Bad Moon..." and "Sinister Purpose").

Alotta classic songs on here. But I can really only handle so much of John Fogertys voice

Green River, Bad Moon Rising, Lodi are all classics and even the filler songs here are decent quality electrified country-folk-rock. I get why decades later some kid somewhere adopts CCR as a listen to this day even though they're not always for me.

Hillbilly-Bayou-Rock Et par gine numre hist og her. Men overordnet er der for meget bonderøv over det. Hittet “Bad Moon Rising” virker undervældende i dag. Jeg huskede det bedre.

Faux hoe downs that all start to sound the same.

I respect their craft but not my favorite type of music.

What I expected

Bad Moon Rising is great, the rest of this album did not age well.

It was okay, a bit too country for me

While it did have some bright spots in terms of tracks (oh hey there 'Bad Moon Rising (I don't care how overplayed it is, it's still a great song)) but overall, the consistent muddy guitars and generally monotonous singing tone left the album as a whole feeling bland. 2/5

Nothing about this is really grabbing me. it seems fairly plain and just drags along. this is just not my swag at all Lodi, sinister purpose, glory be were some highlights but i dont think id go back to any of them either

Ok I guess. The only song I liked was Sinister Purpose, the vocals there sounded different from the rest, much more listenable

would have to pay me to care about a single song on this album

When I hear CCR I always think of dad. I think there is only one CCR song that he played frequently. I went into this hoping I would love it but it didnt really spark anything for me. Oddly enough my favorite song was Glory Be, where there was no singing. Maybe I dont like the singer? Not sure. 2.5 stars

iwie extrem nervig

fun listen, not something i'd necessarily listen again but i didn't get bored and didn't feel like i couldn't wait for the end.

Ffs more hippie stuff

I didn't really enjoy this? Which is strange, because they do things that I generally enjoy, and they're leaning into a style that I also usually enjoy. I think just most of the album falls flat for me.

"wrote a song for everyone" very HIMYM vibes

boooooring

i didn't really never liked it

Dad Rock supreme. I guess it's like Grandpa Rock now. I mean it's fine. I've kind of always hated the Bayou/Southern Rock as a genre. And from a band from San Francisco no less. A lot of people love it, and that's fine, but it's just not something I care for. I listened to the whole album and didn't even add any songs to my Liked playlist on Spotify which is super rare for me. None of the songs on this record are bad, I guess, just not something I would be upset to not hear again. 2.5 stars because I do appreciate the instrumentation and musicianship, it's just not for me.

Bravi, famosi, autori di almeno 3 canzoni storiche, ma non mi piacciono

See Review: #290 To add to that: I also don't like John Fogherty's voice. Their whole sound and vibe I used to like but I feel as though I've outgrown it. 2.5 because sequels are always worse.

It ok but kinda mid overall

Definitely not a bad album, is entertaining enough. However there's nothing that really grabs me personally. The southern rock sound can get repetitive. Glad to try out CCR tho. Fav Tracks: - Commotion - Bad Moon Rising

Not the biggest fan of this soft bluesy country vibe but CCR is classic! Felt very 'Americana' and made me nostalgic for another time, 1969, what a time to be alive.

Oy more hippies. This is good for driving down the highway with the windows open. It’s fine. Overall, it’s too loud and too country for my taste. It’s the kind of music that’s playing at a bar you don’t want to be in. Can’t get into it.

requires boots an adequate lazy strut and an oversized belt buckle

I can’t handle much CCR beyond their greatest hits. Do I love their greatest hits? Yes. Do I strongly affiliate them with early childhood memories of music? Yes. Am I tired of rolling the boomer rock albums? YES.

Meh. Not terrible but didn't appeal much to me. At only 29 minutes long I won't complain. Favourite Song: Lodi

Best song: Green River/Bad Moon Rising Worst song: Write a Song for Everyone Notes: when he said "Write a SHOONG for evrywuhn" I felt that Overall: somewhat not enjoyed, but not offensively bad or anything of course. 4/10 or 2/5

slightly better than country music idk kinda boring not for me

- has some great songs

As I listen to this, I slowly morph into a 60 year old guy named "Barry" that spends his time drinking with his friend group, "The Goon Squad", which has managed to stay together since middle school through their united love for a really garbage hockey team.

Boring, Boring, Boring, Boring, Bad Moon Rising, Boring, Boring, Boring, Boring. 2/5

Mercifully short yet still too long for me. I disliked this even more than I disliked Bayou Country. The love for this band is just something I cannot comprehend on any level, the worst aspect for me is the vocals, which I find abrasive and unenjoyable. I would never listen to this willingly. It’s boring at its best and painful at its worst. Only good song was the final track “The Night Time Is The Right Time”. Without that track, this would be a 1 for me.

I can see why this was popular at the time but just sounds like generic jam band rock to me now.

What I would imagine country rock would sound like. Quite pleasant to the ears. I enjoyed Commotion and The night time is the right time.

Boring

Could probably be anywhere between a 2 and a 4 depending on how honky tonky I'm feeling. Today it's a 2.

The boomer flow is heaviest with this record. If you like that sort of thing, this would be great for you. I however, do not have fond memories of these sorts of bands.

Nothing remarkable

Only the hits, ye again

• It was not really my style of music but I can respect the musicality of the album • I liked the rhythm and instrumentals • Probably wouldn’t listen to any of the songs again • Favourite song: Sinister Purpose

Didn't care for most of this album. I just don't jive with John Foggerty's voice.

I do not care about the sounds of CCR

It all comes down to the voice with Credence. John Fogerty certainly has the lungs, but not the subtlety for my liking. All you need to know is that the album highlight is the instrumental Broken Space Shuffle. I've added an extra star for Bad Moon - not so much for the song, but the memories from An American Werewolf in London.

Ferdig med creedence no?

There's better CCR albums than this. It isn't terrible but it didn't do anything for me. Very meh.

I didn't enjoy this as much as the other Creedence album, it seemed more bland

It was OK, songs are kinda samey. Didn't peak my interest.

Not really a genre I enjoy, but I respect these guys.

Just kinda dull and middle of the road.

Não reconheci nenhuma música, apenas agradável.

Try as I might I can't see CCR as anything more than that band who are in all that Vietnam war stuff or the band who every pub cover band ever does a song by. That's my issue not there's of course but sometimes that's how it goes. I'm also just not a fan of this brand of bluesy rock. This started off kind of promisingly, for the first maybe 3 songs the blusey shuffle and mumbled vocals made quite pleasant background listening but then it just keep going with much of the same. Bad Moon rising is a highlight but the rest of it feels like filler to me.

простовато

Ik vond dit niet zo boeiend eigenlijk.

Te belegen.

So much boring blues-rock. It always surprised me that CCR are so big in Australia. 'Bad Moon Rising' is one of those songs you hear as a teenager, think it's not too bad the first few times you hear it out in the wild and then spend the rest of your life trying to avoid.

Not enough stand out tracks.

5/10. Easy listening country rock. Bad Moon Rising comfortably the stand out track.

Bad Moon Rising is a great song but the rest is just really generic and not that fun to listen to

I love the sound of the guitar. So old and gritty, just gettin' it done, but I really hate the dude's voice and all I can picture in my head is a crazed Dennis Hopper full of stink and LSD from Easy Rider. ...and that's what ruins pretty much any CCR album.

these guys do a few good tunes. shame none of them are on this album.

Fairly forgettable to be honest. Not bad particularly, but nothing stands out.

CCR is the most overrated band of this era. I don’t dislike the band’s hits but I also don’t turn it on. When it’s on the radio or on any list, I skip we. I’m college i really liked their music but at some point I stopped liking their music. There’s just something about John Fogerty’s voice that annoys me so much.

Not a band I’ve listened to much. - Green River – a very country song, with twang for days. The main draw is the guitar work, which is decent, but not spectacular. Not my kinda song. - Commotion – I like the opening riff on this one quite a bit. Bouncy bass is pretty neat too. Lyrics are a beratement against the commotion and hectic nature of city life, with people rushing everywhere, frowning all the time, and making meaningless small talk. I appreciate the sentiment here. Definitely a step up, but not ultimately a track I’d come back to listen to. - Tombstone Shadow – Typical “bad luck” blues type song, in this case talking about a “gypsy man” who told his fortune and foresaw thirteen months of bad luck. It’s a decent track, but not my kinda music. I really dislike the twang overdoes in the guitar solo. - Wrote a Song For Everyone – Feels a like a bar ballad. It’s aight, but again, not my jam. Lyrics are generally being down about the world. The chorus is about difficulties in his married relationship, the verses are about civil rights, government lies/failures etc. The irony about wangsting over his inability to talk to his family when he can easily write songs is rather bitter when he later divorced his wife and was estranged from the rest of the family. Tough darts. - Bad Moon Rising – The signature song off the album, a trouble song. Not my jam. The weirdly peppy instrumentation feels jarring comparing to the dire lyrics. - Lodi – About seeking fortune but being stuck in a small town (the eponymous Lodi). The tone on this one matches the track, with more of the regretful/wistful tone on the guitar working better with the lyrics. One of the better off this ablum, but still not anything great. - Cross-Tie Walker – Contrasts the reception of a drifter with those of Vietnam soldiers going off to war (no brass band, no one waving farewell, no tears of regret). Feels very similar in theme to Allman Brothers’ Ramblin’ Man, which I think is a better song. I don’t really get the sentiment of being a drifter, so I odn’t connect to this song. - Sinister Purpose – Feels like Creedence writes “Sympathy For the Devil”, which actually came out just a year before. It’s one of the better songs off the album though, again due to the musical tone actually fitting the lyrics. Probably my favorite track, actually. - The Night Time is the Right Time – I don’t like the chorus of “WHY DO THEY?”s. I don’t get it, and it gets annoying. It’s a love song, but I can’t really imagine anyone loving Fogarty for this particular song lol. - Broken Spoke Shuffle – The instrumental track, which mainly just means they turned the drums up in the mix and played a normal song without singing. The mix presents the drums as the key part, with the guitar maybe actually a little quieter than normal, but the drum work isn’t anything special. Not a very good instrumental imo. - Glory Be – Another instrumental. Weird choice to end with two instrumental tracks. Turns out, neither was on the original version, which kinda makes sense. So I’ll ignore them. Neither is very good anyway. All in all, I’m not very impressed. The lyrical themes are mediocre, nothing I haven’t seen done better elsewhere. The guitar work is decent, but not really enough to carry things on their own (and often annoyingly twangy). The signature song here is Bad Moon Rising, and I really don’t get the appeal. A lot of songs have instrumentation that either doesn’t follow or straight up clashes with the tone of the lyrics (and not in a way that was clearly done for contrast/artistic effect). The album isn’t really cohesive either. Creedence was very influential, of course, but their influence is primarily on Southern Rock and country, two genres I also don’t like. Even the best songs aren’t really a kind of music I like. All in all, it’s a 2/5 at best for me. Top Tracks: - Sinister Purpose – A marginally worse version of Sympathy For the Devil is still the best song on the album. - Lodi – The tone at least works here. - Commotion – I almost like this one enough to add it to my playlists.

classic but gets repetitive

Not a huge fan. I like my 60s rock a bit more psychedelic.

Swamp rock? This sounds too clean for a "swamp" rock. I'm surprised at how boring this albums turned out to be. It sounds like they're trying hard to steer away from their blues/country roots or influences but at the same time they stick to the same formula. Ultimately, it felt uninspired and uninteresting.

Did not like the guitar. The album felt very repetitive.

I have never heard CCR before, and it turns out, they are bad.

Very nice music to listen to in your truck down a nice long dirt road with a couple of budweisers and a shotgut Not my cup of tea 2/5

Tombstone shadow has one of the worst guitar solos I have ever heard. I was listening to this album like "I know they sing a song that I know and it has not come up yet." That song was Bad Moon Rising. It hit me as soon as it came on. The album was fine.

The album is a perfectly ok listen. That kind of country rock doesn't really appeal to me, but it was nice to hear that it wasn't a typical 'country' album. Best: Green River Worst: Broken Spoke Shuffle

For me it’s all about Chronicles as the albums had too much filler

Un nom de scène bien trop long. Trop long, c'est également un qualificatif qui sied très bien à cet album. Vous me direz "il ne dure que 44 minutes", mais c'etait 44 minutes de trop.

Some decent tracks on here but nothing memorable, especially given their other work.

Great ccr album, all ccr songs seem to just be classic. Love the cover of I put a spell on you. Wish I could do 2.5

Not my taste, old men music, American country/blues

I'll start off with a disclaimer. I don't especially enjoy vocalist John Fogerty's vocals. I find him strident, overly earnest, and lacking nuance. But you could just as easily describe him as passionate and holding nothing back. So, on to the music. I'm three songs in and so far, I'm unpleasantly surprised. I fully expected this album to be chock full of memorable hooks, so familiar from hits like "Fortunate Son," "Who'll Stop the Rain," and even "Born on the Bayou." Instead what you get is utterly basic and generic roots rock. "Wrote a Song for Everyone" is a little better, but it's not until you get to "Bad Moon Rising" that the album kicks into gear. There's a few more pleasant but unremarkable tunes and then we get a genuine shocker: a blistering cover of Ray Charles "The Night Time is the Right Time," a drastic improvement over the original, which Creedence completely makes their own. In fact, I'd say this is the definitive version. The last two songs are instrumentals. The last, "Glory Be," is a bit of a wasted opportunity. It has some catchy riffs and a fair amount of energy. With an impassioned vocal performance added on top, "Glory Be" would have been another hit for Creedence. If not for "Bad Moon on the Rise" and "The Night Time Is the Right Time," this album would be a complete waste of time. As it is, I give "Green River" 2 1/2 stars out of 5.

Oh Lordy, I did try to get through this but the only song that I could listen to in its entirety was Sinister Purpose, probably because it had less of Fogerty's singing. I know they sold a whack of records back in '69 but this is just not my cup of tea

No swamp/country rock for me, please.

Didn’t have a chance to listen to this but my Fogerty patience is always a thin line. I’ll just assume it’s a two star event. Cool.

Didn't enjoy it

Ejejej

laidback country folk vibe 1.5/5

Not for me

once you've heard a song you've heard them all.

Nothing

I saw the album cover and knew that this was going to miss. It's just your typical blues/country pandering. 1/5

This album makes me be thankful that I was born at the age of electronic music. I just find southern-like music quite boring. Each songs blends into one another

I have never been a CCR fan and man this album really isn't going to change my mind. Never liked John Fogerty's singing or songwriting, and the guitars on this record are painful to listen to, especially on Tombstone Shadow. No thanks.

- I'm on the first song and I don't know if I'll be able to get through all this. - oh well i actually kinda like "wrote a song for everyone" - I had to skip a good chunk of them

I already know I don't like CCR, so we'll see how this goes. Yep. Really didn't like this. I generally think the blues are boring, but they were popular, and I can see how swamp blues stood out in the field, but it's just awful.

this is not for me

Un poco caca

Another Creedence Clearwater Revival lp? This is the third so far my first 200 in this process. I actually own this one. Bought in a charity shop and played once. Reevaluating them this time around it’s clear that Creedence were an average band who made too many records too quickly. Sure the hits are good but there’s one or two per album and the rest is derivative (Wrote a Song for Everyone should really be called Rewrote a Song for Money). They’d clearly been listening to The Band when recording this. Then there’s the chug-a-lug boogie woogie tracks like Cross TIe Walker that leave the listener with a greater appreciation for Chas n Dave. At least they weren’t so po-faced. I feel like I wrote this same review about the last Creedence lp that came up.

Huono. 1/5

encore de la country uyeeeehaw

“Wrote a song forever everyone” is the closest to my preferred genre, but as a whole this album is just not for me💀

So samey. I thought some of it was alright but was just a bit bored. Unremarkable as an album. Sorry credence Clearwater revival x

did not care for it

Only listened a little. Cant rate

Prisahám že všetky pesničky znejú rovnako Bože nech už to skončí, asolútnr ma ti nebaví

I grew up hearing ones like Bad Moon Rising on the radio and always hated them. I don't like blues and I really can't stand that voice.

Beyond bad moon rising there isn't really much else to this album. A lot of retreads of the same tune. Unremarkable apart the lead single and even that gets wearisome on the 3rd listen.

Oh god another CCR. Cosmo’s factory was one of the worst albums I had to listen to on this project. I don’t understand why this band merits more than one entry on this list if at all. This album is better than Cosmo’s Factory. Songs are a bit more memorable and we got some tasty licks. Still, listening to the entire thing is such a chore. A can enjoy a single song, but at two songs it gets tedious. One star. I think if I’m getting CCR again I might just skip after listening to a song or two. I don’t get the credit they get here.

Don't mind a bit of Creedence, but for god's sake get someone on the sound desk who has a vague idea of what he's doing. I have bootleg versions of gigs recorded in the crowd that are better quality recordings than this. Like the music but the recording is just plain awful. due entirely to the quality of the sound 1.

CCR has been a staple of classic rock radio stations for maybe 35 years? Still doesn’t make it good.

The different parts of this I feel are arranged exceptionally well and I immediately appreciated the bluesyness. I love the twang of the guitar and I appreciate the brevity of the solos. However the whole album somehow sounds frivolous which makes me dislike it intensely. When I think blues I think soulful, melodic, and playful in an improv way, and the high prevalence of that technically blues sound while simultaneously sounding like a cereal box reads turns me off from this album hugely.

who gives a fuck

I don't like CCR

Boring country shizzle, one song was ok in a non commitall way. Not committed.

Unrelated

Not a fan. Felt like it was over-played back in the day.

it was all the same and also exactly what i expected ccr to sound like. i am happy to continue making jokes about them with my partner. the only one i didn’t mind was the instrumental one

Got as far as "Wrote A Song For Everyone'. Patently not true, as this is definitely not for me. Lazy rock music, and the voice doesn't appeal at all. Bailed.

walah cet album de sudiste m'a fait chier

Country music icky

I have listened to better albums in my life, just don't know why this is here.

Boring trad rock tedium.

Nahhh not for me

This was really hard to listen to, never again

Not a fan of. 1/5.

I love my dolly

I'm not a big prog fan but Neil Peart was an astoundingly good drummer.
