I know I'm losing you is fantastic. First half of the album is country garbage. If it was just the last 4 songs it would be a 4/5.

4/5
Complete surprise. 4.5/5
Bruce Springsteen
2/5
Well made but not my style at all, it was hard to listen to.
2Pac
4/5
Great lyrics, only flaw is most of the beats are the same generic kind of boring 90s rap beats.
The Yardbirds
4/5
Very good. Reminiscent of The Beatles' Revolver and some of their other earlier work.
The Killers
3/5
Some great songs but many forgettable ones. Every song sounds kind of the same. 3.5/5

Culturally significant, but most of the music was just not enjoyable to me. 2.5/5
AC/DC
4/5
A rock classic, some great songs and only a small amount of filler.
Johnny Cash
3/5
It has its moments but the album is very slow and it's mostly covers. Hurt saves the day.
Joy Division
1/5
Not a fun listen and not for me at all. The vocals not in tune with the instruments is not for me. Very little melody to the instruments. At least the lyrics are interesting.
Bill Evans Trio
4/5
Some great mellow jazz vibes. Have to be in the right mood for it but very well made.
Bert Jansch
4/5
Great folk album. The guitar instrumentals steal the show.
Bruce Springsteen
3/5
This genre is not my style at all but I can't help but like a few songs. For what it is, it's well made.
David Bowie
3/5
Some solid songs in the mix, but the instrumental third of the album is mostly bad. Why is that even there? Interesting music that's not that enjoyable to listen to. 3.5/5
Van Morrison
4/5
Fantastic album. Love the vocals especially. The songs can feel a bit dragged out though. Definitely want to revisit. 4.5/5
Jean-Michel Jarre
3/5
Obviously influential to electronic music, but feels outdated and empty compared to current EM. Some great parts to it, but also a bit dull at times. 3.5/5.
Dead Kennedys
3/5
Liked it more than I thought I would. Great lyrics and the instruments weren't mostly obnoxiously noise like some early punk. Some parts still felt like pure noise though. 3.5/5
Blur
4/5
Better than I expected. Some solid hits, especially the first half. 3.75/5
Foo Fighters
3/5
It often sounds like "generic rock" but there's some very solid songs on here. I also like the story behind the album. 3.5/5
3/5
I'm quite surprised but I kind of enjoyed this album. A lot of the vocals and lyrics are corny but there were some solid head bangers and the guitars were fun to listen to.
Destiny's Child
3/5
I'm not really the audience for this, but there's some solid hits on here. 3/5
Oasis
3/5
There's some great songs, but also some songs that could be more catchy. 3.5/5

A masterpiece.

You can't help but love this album, super catchy with several classics. 4.5/5
The Black Keys
2/5
A handful of decent songs, but feels like the definition of generic rock.
D'Angelo
1/5
Shocked at how boring and not good this was. I'm amazed this is always so critically acclaimed, other than the first track it put me to sleep.
Bad Company
3/5
A decent album of classic rock songs, but not much stands out here.
4/5
Some fantastic songs mixed with songs decent songs. A enjoyed it more than their first album. 3.75/5

Unbelievably good. It completely lives up to the hype. One of the best albums I've ever heard.

Funkadelic baby
Brian Eno

Van Morrison
4/5
Very solid album with a few fantastic songs, but I like Astral Weeks more personally.
Massive Attack
3/5
A fun genre blending album, but not any standout songs really. Beats feel monotonous at times. 3.5/5
Bob Marley & The Wailers
3/5
Reggae just isn't for me. I loved Bob Marley when I was 18, but now the songs all just sound the same to me. I acknowledge it's well made at least.
Eminem
4/5
Excellent first album from Slim. Even better to come. 4.5/5
Green Day
4/5
A fun album with some catchy songs. The drums are a particular highlight. 3.75/5
Robbie Williams
3/5

Sepultura
3/5
Not normally my style of metal but there's some great riffs on here. I'd like to give it another listen down the road. 3.5/5
Nick Drake
4/5
Very solid album, it's a shame he didn't get much recognition in his life time.
Taylor Swift
4/5
A very catchy pop album. Does exactly what it's supposed to do.
Morrissey
4/5
Morrissey is a very controversial guy, but I can't help but thoroughly enjoy this album. Great guitar and catchy songs.
5/5
One of the greatest albums of all time. Innovative and a joy to listen to.
Elastica
3/5
A decent album, the middle was a drag but the beginning and end were pretty enjoyable. Nothing special though.
Frank Sinatra
2/5
I'm a huge fan of Sinatra's voice but this album was quite boring except for a couple songs. 2.5/5
Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan
1/5
If I had to torture someone for exactly 1.5 hours I would simply play them this album.
Red Hot Chili Peppers
4/5
This album had to grow on me at first, but now I think it fucks. 4.5/5
Koffi Olomide
3/5
It's catchy and fun but other than Desespoir (which slaps) it felt like the same slightly boring song over and over again.
System Of A Down
4/5
Great energy, great lyrics, the guitars and drums slap. 4.5/5
The White Stripes
4/5
A fun, stripped down rock album. Worth another listen.
Blondie
4/5
Solid album, upbeat and catchy.
Moby Grape
4/5
Beautiful album, the lead and group vocals steal the show. Really wish most of this album wasn't missing from Spotify.
Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band
4/5
Great album, way ahead of its time. 4.5/5
Lauryn Hill
4/5
I'm starting to realize that soul/R&B isn't really my thing, however this album was about as good as it gets for this genre. I loved the songs with her rapping, wish we had an album of just that.
Pink Floyd
5/5
Fantastic album. The lyrics are some of my favorite of all time. Reminds you to be here now, live joyfully in the moment, and to remember that all your perceived problems are insignificant in the grand scheme.
The Beach Boys
5/5
It took a second listen to really appreciate some of these songs, especially the slower ones. However this album grew on me a lot. I think I needed to be in the right mindset. The harmonies are great and the lyrics speak to me. 4.75/5
Manu Chao
4/5
This is definitely out of my comfort zone but I quite enjoyed it. The songs are catchy and I love his voice.
R.E.M.
2/5
A couple songs are good but I thought it was pretty generic, slow paced and boring. 2.5/5
Radiohead
2/5
A few songs are good, but this is still one of the most overrated albums of all time made by one of the most overrated artists of all time. Whiny and pretentious with lyrics you can barely understand and songs that sounds the same. 2.5/5
Pavement
1/5
The whole album sounds like it was recorded with an Elmo microphone.
Arctic Monkeys
5/5
One of my favorite albums since I was 18. Brings back great memories of being young and the guitars riffs are some of my favorite ever.
Nas
3/5
Nas is obviously a great rapper and lyricist but the beats are boring and every song sounds the same.
Fugees
3/5
A few enjoyable songs on here, but the beats are slow and boring. I'd rather just listen to Lauryn Hill as she was the highlight of the album.
DJ Shadow
4/5
I normally don't care for instrumental albums but this was very enjoyable and kept me engaged. The drums were the highlight, great album.
The Youngbloods
4/5
Very entertaining blend of genres. Puts you in a good mood, Darkness and Sir Francis Drake were my favorites. 4.5/5
The Byrds
3/5
Such a hard album to rate because it's a mixed bag for me. It starts off with three fantastic songs, then it's mostly boring songs with a few good songs mixed in. I really like the lyrics and instrumentation of the more psychedelic songs. If the whole album was like Artificial Energy and Natural Harmony it would get a perfect score from me. 3.5/5
The Beach Boys
5/5
This album is fantastic. The only meh song is the one about feet. Otherwise a beautiful, near perfect experience. Great lyrics with soft, smooth vocals. I think I enjoyed it even more than Pet Sounds overall.
Blur
3/5
Starts off with some very good songs but really fizzles out, should have been 20 minutes shorter. 3.5/5
Common
3/5
There's some solid songs on here, especially Payback is a Grandmother, but it didn't grip me. Mostly boring and didn't feel original, even for its time. 2.75/5
Stan Getz
4/5
It grew on me a lot on the second listen. I prefer more intense jazz but it was beautiful and smooth.
Steely Dan
4/5
Great album, love the guitars and the harmonies especially. Reelin', Only a Fool, Turn that Hearbeat, and Do it Again are the highlights. 4.5/5
Michael Kiwanuka
3/5
This album felt like a more classical Black Keys, it was decently enjoyable but it didn't grip me other than a couple songs. Hard to Say Goodbye is a fantastic song, plus Piano Joint is good too.
TV On The Radio
1/5
Terrible vocals, obnoxious shitty falsetto, obnoxious music, stupid lyrics. The songs aren't even catchy. Wow I hate this album, maybe the worst one on this list so far.
Wire
3/5
Fast, fun and catchy songs. I can tell this had a lot of influence on future punk music. 3.5/5
Pixies
3/5
Enjoyable album, not very catchy but some good guitar parts. Don't love the guy's voice. 3.5/5
Ice Cube
3/5
Above average beats for the 90s but still repetitive. I like Ice Cube's voice but the music does not age all that well. 3.5/5
Kraftwerk
2/5
Not offensive to listen to but very boring. Barely music. Komet 2 was the only song I somewhat liked.
Led Zeppelin
4/5
A classic album, great guitar and drums.
Talking Heads
4/5
Solid, fun album. Funky guitars and unique vocals. Animals, Wartime, and Cities are my favorites. Main drawback is you can't understand a damn thing this guy is saying.
Manic Street Preachers
2/5
I like the vocals and the lyrics are interesting, but most of the songs are generic and boring. I felt like I was waiting for the album to be over. I liked Elvis and Flowers. 2.5/5
Daft Punk
2/5
It is criminal that the far superior DP albums Discovery and Random Access Memories are not on this list but this unpolished demo tape of an album is included. A repetitive, monotonous 75 minutes that should have been 30 max. The only songs I enjoyed were Daften, Da Funk, and Around the World.
Van Halen
4/5
Catchy songs, good harmonies and great guitars.
FS: Eruption, I'm the One
Iggy Pop
3/5
Fairly enjoyable, basically a David Bowie album so fitting that it's good but not great for me.
FS: Sister Midnight, China Girl
Mott The Hoople
3/5
Sounds like a mix of a generic, lesser Bowie and Queen but there's some good songs.
FS: Memphis, Violence
Anita Baker
3/5
Decently enjoyable R&B album, nothing too special.
FS: Sweet Love, Been so Long
Judas Priest
4/5
I've never listened to Judas Priest before but I really enjoyed it. Great guitar and drums. I also listened to their other album Painkillers and I like that one even better.
FS: Rapid Fire, Breaking the Law
The Sensational Alex Harvey Band
4/5
Love this guy's voice, love the instruments too. Faith Healer and Ding Dong being kind of meh just barely keep this out of 5 star territory for me. 4.5/5
FS: all the other songs
Neil Young
3/5
Mostly pretty boring but a few good songs.
FS: Borrowed Tune, Mellow, Mama
Creedence Clearwater Revival
3/5
I want to like this band more than I do. Vocals are often great, guitars are sometimes great. Just don't care for their country rock esque style.
3.5/5
FS: Tombstone, Bad Moon, Sinister, Night Time
4/5
Beautiful and mesmerizing instrumentation, especially the percussion. Quite unique, but I wish it was shorter.
FS: Abraco, Antropofagos, Voce Gosta, Tantos
The Prodigy
4/5
Love the aggressive sounds, but the album is easily 20 minutes too long.
FS: Break & Enter, Full Throttle, No Good, Claustrophobic
Caetano Veloso
3/5
I like the genre blending but it feels a bit slow and boring at times. 3.5/5
FS: Tropicalia, Anunciacao, Supercabana, America
Yes
4/5
Classic album. Great guitar, drums, bass, keyboard, everything really. The three short under 2 min songs feel a little out of place and are pretty meh but the six main songs are all fantastic. 4.5/5
FS: Roundabout, South Side, Long Distance, Heart of the Sunrise
Wilco
2/5
A few good songs but mostly very boring.
2.5/5
FS: Jesus, Drummer, I'm the Man
The Stone Roses
3/5
A mixture of some amazing instrumentation and some bland generic brit rock. 3.5/5
FS: Elephant Stone, Elizabeth, Made of Stone, Resurrection, Fools Gold
The Who
4/5
A fun classic album with catchy songs and good drums. FS: The Ox, My Generation, Please, Out in the Street
Metallica
4/5
Really good start and finish but the middle felt sluggish. Great guitar and drums.
FS: Blackened, Frayed Ends, To Live, Dyers Eve
Nico
4/5
Beautiful album, love her voice, the strings and the lyrics.
FS: Fairest of Seasons, Winter, Chelsea
4/5
Didn't know this kind of hardcore jazz existed but I'm a big fan. Love the drums and overall chaos. Enjoyed the whole album but the first ten songs were my favorite. 4.5/5
FS: Good Ole Days, Enfant
Harry Nilsson
3/5
Some good songs on here, feels a little generic rock though. 3.5/5
FS: Down, Coconut, Fire, Never Leave
William Orbit
2/5
The opening song is good, 2nd song is okay. Then it slowly gets worse and worse as it becomes less and less music and more ambient noise. Could have been 40 minutes shorter.
FS: Water from a Vine
Bebel Gilberto
3/5
Some decently good songs but mostly boring and nothing special. Suba should not have died for this album.
FS: Close Your Eyes, So Nice
Bob Dylan
4/5
Fantastic story telling. The instrumentation is a little too country sounding for my taste but despite that it's a great album.
FS: Tangled, Idiot
Kendrick Lamar
5/5
Fantastic album, it makes me very nostalgic for my early 20s. One of the best rap albums ever made. Maad City is one of the best rap bangers ever and Sing About Me is a classic rap epic.
FS: Money Trees, Drank, Maad City, Sing About Me, Now or Never
David Bowie
4/5
Fantastic album. This is the type of David Bowie I've been waiting to hear on this list. 4.5/5
FS: Changes, Pretty Things, Mars, Quicksand, Warhol
Red Hot Chili Peppers
4/5
The first half is a 5, the second half unfortunately doesn't hit as well for me. But still a great album.
FS: Around the World, Parallel, Scary Tissue, Get in Top.
3/5
Some good instrumentals in parts but too slow and boring at parts.
FS: Cisco Kid, Ghetto
Lorde
2/5
Most of this was generic formulaic pop music that's been done way better. A few catchy songs but so many of these sound exactly the same. Generic lyrics too. 2.5/5
FS: Liability, Dynamite
Louis Prima
4/5
Very solid oldies music. Very catchy with great sax and vocals.
FS: For My Baby, Basin Street
Rush
4/5
Solid prog rock album. The drums are the best part but the guitar and vocals sound great too. Not as good as Yes.
FS: The 20 min song, Bangkok
Supergrass
3/5
Some good parts to this album, but nothing special really. Much better britpop out there.
FS: Mansize Rooster, Time to Go
UB40
2/5
It's definitely reggae, emphasis on gae.
The Sabres Of Paradise
2/5
Very boring, Wilmot is the only reason this isn't a 1.
Peter Gabriel
1/5
This album is So (bad)
FS: Big Time
Earth, Wind & Fire
4/5
A jazzy and funky time for a local soul brother near you. 4.5/5
FS: Africano, Happy Feelin, Reasons
Dwight Yoakam
2/5
Better than expected
Steely Dan
4/5
Very solid, well made jazz rock. Unfortunately there were some slow and slightly boring parts and it wasn't as catchy as Can't Buy a Thrill (which I should have given a 5 to.)
FS: Black Cow, Drums/Sax on Aja
Ash
2/5
Bland boring garage noise rock.
FS: Lost in You
50 Cent
4/5
Thuggish in a good way. Maybe it's nostalgia talking but i still quite enjoy this and think it holds up well. 50 Cent is an average rapper but the beats are solid and the songs are catchy. The second half of the album unfortunately is not as strong as the first.
FS: Patiently Waiting, Da Club, Many Men, 21 Questions
FKA twigs
2/5
This album tries so hard to be quirky and different with its dumb sound effects everywhere. Every song sounds the same, boring pop with a good voice that never melodically matches the music. The very few parts that are catchy can't save this turd. 1.5/5
David Bowie
4/5
A very solid farewell from David Bowie.
FS: Lazarus, Sue
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
3/5
Enjoyable classic rock, pleasantly short. 3.5/5
FS: Rockin Around, Fooled Again, American Girl.
Mekons
3/5
I enjoyed this fusion of punk and country. The first track is fantastic, but the middle is a slog. Picks up at the end at least.
A worthy addition to this list, unlike many others. 3.5/5
FS: Chivalry, Country, Abernant, Last Dance, Lost Highway
Public Enemy
3/5
Better than FOABP, still feels like the exact same song over and over though.
FS: The Noise, The Hype, Bomb
Sparks
4/5
Very fun glam rock, good instruments and vocals. 4.5/5
FS: This Town, Hasty Manana, Equator

FS: Dry Your Eyes
Burning Spear
2/5
Why is reggae always the same song over and over?
FS: Marcus Garvey
The Rolling Stones
3/5
Decent album, often boring and nothing special. Nowhere close to the quality of early Beatles or the Who.
