It has its moments but the album is very slow and it's mostly covers. Hurt saves the day.

Nas is obviously a great rapper and lyricist but the beats are boring and every song sounds the same.

Such a hard album to rate because it's a mixed bag for me. It starts off with three fantastic songs, then it's mostly boring songs with a few good songs mixed in. This album is fantastic. The only meh song is the one about feet. Otherwise a beautiful, near perfect experience. Great lyrics with soft, smooth vocals. I think I enjoyed it even more than Pet Sounds overall.

This album tries so hard to be quirky and different with its dumb sound effects everywhere. Every song sounds the same, boring pop with a good voice that never melodically matches the music. The very few parts that are catchy can't save this turd. 1.5/5
