Rating: ** 1 ** Notes: Really really unpopular band (70k monthly listeners on spotify). Did remind me of Rammstein, but their music is not as melodical. I did not like the mixture of german singing with slovenian accent, also I had the feeling that the songs are eithr not original or just the same beat and kind of experimental and very weird and also annoying. I find it funny that in their Wikipedia page it says that one of their albums is in the book 1001 albums... like this is their greatest achievement...So far, the worst listening experience for me (especially Herz-Felde), several times I thought about quitting. But for the people who liked it: they have a concert in Vienna on 21.11. Songs which stood out in no particular order (credits to Uncle Gue for the idea): "The Great Seal" (would rate this song 4) ------------------------------------------------------------- Rating Scale: 1- very bad 2- bad 3- neutral 4-good 5-very good additonaly -/+ sign if necessary

Not once during this hour longer run time was I enjoying myself. If I was doing something that I regularly would enjoy, my mood was dampened by this wet blanket of an album. I thoroughly believe that this was created as an elaborate joke to annoy people. Or maybe I’m just not German enough. 1/5

I remain curious about Laibach's concept; There is absolutely nothing to bring me back to the music. This feels like one of those historical popularity oddities: The industrial sounds are standard, covers and gimmick dominate the tracklist, and the political project is niche in time and space. Martial industrial remains an entry in my list of music to get to, but there's a reason it's languished there for some time. I hear the four extra-vinyl tracks are different or better; They're unheard and don't factor into this ranking.
I appreciate the list expanded outside of the US and UK, but not like this. Outside of the off-putting belchy vocals, the first half or so of the album was acceptable as something a little different. The track "Trans-National" was not bad. It sounded sort of like a spy movie soundtrack. But the remainder of the album was just atrocious, a boring repetitive slog. I really hated it. Disliked the album cover art as well. Edit: Just looked at the wikipedia page and it seems the last four tracks (probably the four worst on the album) were bonus CD tracks. With those excluded, that might put my rating closer to 1.5, but I'm leaving it 1/5.
I don't even know how to respond to this. All I know is my pee tastes different after listening to it.

La verdad no me gustó, lo uno que rescató son las partes donde parecía haber una orquesta, pero después parece el sountrack de un videojuego de lucha de los 80

It's what happens when you cross 80s pop with Wagner chants. And it's just as strange as you would think it would be. But just because it's strange does not make it good. And I really didn't enjoy it at all.

I didn't mind this at first but later on there were some songs that I hated - HATED!! I could not bear to listen to them - it started with "Herz-Felde" and continued through the end. I've never felt so tortured listening to a song. Supposedly they claim not to be fascists, but try not to imagine a Nazi rally listing to this bullshit.
I gave this album 5 attempts, no exaggeration, and could not finish it. At first I thought, “oh this is different and fun” and within a couple minutes, it just felt like a weird, fevery nightmare soundscape that induced anxiety spikes. NAH THANKS
At first I was excited by this, but then quickly found it unlistenable. I really like noisey music, but this didn't really click.

One song had a section that interested me on the “Trans-National” song. The rest I could have lived the rest of my life not listening to.
This is why I didn't watch MTV in the 80s. I would be really upset if my album did not make the top 1001, when this does.

I remember their Life is Life/Leben Heißt Leben cover from back in the day. Sounds really rather tame in retrospect to be honest. Let's face it, Rammstein did this kind of thing much better (and funnier) later on. I am not sure if there's any value in being first with a particular sound if that sound is so ugly. 3/10

Don't like Industrial metal, so I didn't like the album at all. Listened through the first two songs, then snippets of the others. Not a great start but excited for the next ones nonetheless!
I had never heard of this group or album, so I gave it a listen. I tried to find things in it that I liked, but didn't hear much of anything I would ever want to listen to again. I suppose maybe as absurdist theater it might be interesting, but not to me.
Yeah, couldn't get through this one, even with this being the first partially-non-English album that I could somewhat understand. A little investigation brought me to the conclusion that these guys *probably* weren't pro-Nazi, but that doesn't make this any less suspect. Actually spending more time on this review than I did listening to the album, so you can guess where this rating is going.
Hab das abgebrochen, mich zwischendurch bei Front242 & Project Pitchfork rück-vergewissert, warum mir EBM/Dark Wave mal wichtig waren und dann nur noch lachen müssen, als ich dieser Satire Zirkus Nummer der Artistengruppe Ljubljana beim Kinn-erigierten Prä-Rammstein „R“-Rollen zuhörte. Kann ich bei aller Liebe zu Theatralik im Genre echt keinen Meter ernst nehmen, ertragen oder zumindest für die Anmaßung Respekt zollen. Dümmliche 0.1
