Sad and good.

When this record came out, I was a little scrote of a teen that thought I knew better than anyone. The track Rehab really annoyed me at the time, because Amy was known to have drug problems and it was a song about refusing help. I just didn’t understand it. However, listening with today’s ears, this album is remarkably different to all other music of the time. I don’t think I ever stopped to appreciate the jazz-pop side of it, and how it really was an anomaly to have this genre in the public consciousness. I enjoyed listening to this today, and appreciate it more than expected. It also says a lot that I recognised pretty much every track here.

Amy Winehouse has an incredible voice, and this album is the perfect vessel to showcase that. Whilst some of the songs on this album falter, when she's on, she's absolutely nailing it.

its good

Excuse my ignorance in never listening to this album. I’ve been missing out. I think seeing Amy in the media constantly back in the 2000’s put me off listening. Fair to say I’m pleasantly surprised, and in fact subconsciously knew most of the songs. I shall listen again!

This is a good album.

muuuuito bom produção linda a amy inegavelmente mandava demais

eh bem legal, na vdd?? bem produzido e tem uma vibe anos 60 motown e os caraio. tem umas letras bem bonitas!! me impressionou na real hein. bacana demais

It's kind of shame the collection included her debut album, given how much better this one is--more self-assured, tighter, and chock full of strong songs that long survived her. I've never heard this album in its entirety before, so that was nice, and fun to see her (many) videos from her singles; "Rehab" and the title track were the best of the lot, but all of them have impressive production quality (although "Just friends" doesn't do much for me song- or video-wise). It's funny how "You know I'm no good", and to some degree "Back to black", has more than a hint of Portishead to it. A shame that her impressive transition from jazz singer to British soul was so short-lived; she clearly had a lot more in her than she was able to release before her untimely death. (I liked the quote in the Wikipedia entry for the album that Amy Winehouse was a Nirvana moment for British female singers, as it captures so many facets of Amy Winehouse's remarkable and brief trajectory.)

Forever in disbelief that Amy’s voice comes from the mouth of a white Br*tish woman

Reading the background of the album and knowing that it was a recreation of 60's sound, my expectations were not high as its been done before. I had only heard the single "Rehab" so I had a sense of what the album would sound like. What I did not expect was the crisp production and soulful vocals in the songs. OK, there were a lot of cliche riffs but it didn't seem to matter. I enjoyed it very much.

Never gave Amy Whinehouse a chance before today and I was pleasantly shocked. In the first song I thought she had hints of Adele in her vocals. Gone to soon, prayers for Damar

I've heard this album so many times before on vinyl. It's solid front to back and shows the talent that Amy had. Five Grammys in one night for this! Opened the doors for people like Adele and Lana Del Ray. It's a shame that she's not around making music. Phenomenal album.

Banger

🐣🤷‍♂️

This album was solid. It's really a shame she joined the 27 club. Her voice was just so good. Clearly she struggled with addiction, and it definitely comes out in her music. All told there's nothing on this album I didn't love.

An Amazing voice lost too early. I can listen to this album on repeat for hours. A great album.

wait this was so beautiful and yet emotional

Inspired by 60s motown and pop, but with a beautiful soul voice. Lots of drug references. Rehab You Know I'm No Good Back to Black (personal favourite) Tears Dry On Their Own 4 star

Classy album. Sounds like an album of 1950s and 1960s covers except with drug references and profanity! Of course they are not covers (apart from 'Tears dry...' I believe). She had a wonderful voice. Such a shame she joined the 27 club. I'd love to hear what she'd be doing now. 4½

An amazing album. It's a shame we didn't get more music from her and it's wild to think how popular she became.

This was a really soulful boozy album for a young girl. I wonder how much the producer played apart, but I guess the most impressive thing is that I always look at this record and she wrote every song I think. After listening to the record and full, maybe it’s a little bit overrated because it’s just kind of boring but what a talent and what a waste of a life. Well, not a waste of a life, but talent gone too soon.

Good mix of jazz, rnb, and pop style music. Album stayed pretty interesting throughout and vocals were good. Favourite Song: You Know I'm No Good

Beautiful voice

knew this was good but didn't know it was THIS good.

Evidemment un classique

This is #day326 of my #1001albumsyoumusthearbeforeyoudie challenge, and… I'm not usually a big fan of '60s-style soul and vocal jazz, but there's just something about Amy Winehouse, you know. There's a certain rock'n'roll spirit about her persona. She did everything with such a cocktail of bravado, enigma, and fragility at the same time that's hard to resist. The vocals are impeccable, and the music complements them just right. My favorites from this album are "Rehab," "You Know I'm No Good," "Back To Black," "Love Is A Losing Game," of course, and, perhaps, "He Can Only Hold Her," which is like the better half of the record. I'm giving it a 4 out of 5. Looking forward to #day327.

Never listened this in its entirety and was quite happy to do so

Iconic

Not a huge winehouse fan but i do know an iconic album when i hear it. Certified banger

I'm very familiar with Amy Winehouse's big hits: Back to Black and Rehab. Both songs I have over-listened to, and therefore did not really get a kick out of them. However, I discovered some new gems from this album. Me and Mr Jones, Wake Up Alone and He Can Only Hold Her were raw, and had great production. This is as much a Mark Ronson album as it is an Amy Winehouse album. Nice soulful listening in the sun, it's an obvious 4 stars.

Amy Winehouse. Goddamn what a voice. Still, theres a degree of Winehouse emulation that lingers in popular music, and obviously never replicated quite the same. Truly a jazz soul, Amy was a hell of a performer on these instrumentals. There's a big band vibe which is honestly the perfect background for her kind of character. There's obviously a sadness in a lot of her songwriting, but her pain was true to her and she wrote her story into all these tracks. Her voice is definitely graceful at points, but not in a traditional way, more of an unmistakable Amy Winehouse kind of way. One of the greats of female jazz, without a doubt.

Back to Black is a modern gem - a breath of fresh air in a world of generic and forgettable art. What Amy presents in this work is a perfect example of authenticity and the harmony betweem form and substance. It's the kind of creation, with a real soul (no pun intended) that an AI could never replicate. That being said, I don't think this is a perfect album. The hits are great and there's a lot of richness in between them (take Wake Up Alone, for instance), but there are some skips that prevent me from giving it a 10/10 rating in the technical aspect. Another important factor that holds me back from rating it higher is, of course, the worldview. As I always make clear, I judge every piece of art through a christian worldview, so an album that exalts and normalizes the brokeness of relationships won't score well in this cryteria. This is important, as a perfect work of art would never be able to score perfectly if it doesn't present true values. Finally, I'm really glad this album aged well and its recognition didn't remained trapped in the 2000's, as many people still recognize its brilliance. Let's hope the rememberance of such honest and heartfelt music impact us enough to make creative, interesting and deeply human art. --- 8/10

she really has a stellar voice

Really enjoyed, lyrics are great and depressing at the same time

Obviously good

Really nice and soulful.

I listened to this album a lot when it came out, and I was happy to revisit it. Amy Winehouse’s talent for songwriting, capturing a vibe in a song and her vocals are incredible. She sings her butt off. She clearly writes her songs from the heart. The mix sometimes seems to overwhelm her voice and while everyone seems to love the production, I’d love to have it be a little less Phil Spector-like and not try to do so much. Her lyrics and music could stand alone. Overall, a reminder that an artist can do it all and doesn’t need fourteen songwriters and pitch correction to produce something that’s unique, timeless and oh so listenable.

Fun album. Amy is great at the right times.

Reminds me of a uni trip to Turkey, where me and some girls went to a sketchy looking like karaoke bar and sang our drunk hearts out on Amy's music

Great album. Songs have a good variation from one to the next make it engaging the whole way through.

What a voice! The more produced tracks with Mark Ronson are certainly punchier but the rawness on the other tracks is still great. I love the mix of jazz, big band, two tone and pop.

Pretty solid album. I like that she wanted to bring back a sound of 70s soul - and Mark Ronson gives good life to it. It doesn’t compare to Aretha Franklin et al. But it doesn’t have to. And that isnt the mission. Well crafted songs and compelling lyrics. It doesn’t captivate me throughout , but some clear highs Low 4/5

Good album. Strong voice. Strong songs.

Amy Winehouse was a powerful singer and a soulful writer with an intuitive grasp of what makes a captivating song. She made writing iconic songs sound easy. The way she sings about the mundane, or even disappointing aspects of her own life is fascinating, not because her life was fascinating but because she was a highly skilled storyteller. You don’t need to spend any time watching tragic documentaries or biopics about her because Amy tells you her entire story in her music, and she tells it better than any of the ghouls who have fed off of her legacy. Two albums, 92 minutes, tells you everything you need to know. The collaboration between the two producers are critical to the quality of her final album. Salaam Remi draws from the jazz standards, providing a more traditional, nostalgic backbone to the record, linking Amy to the past. Mark Ronson takes things in a much poppier, crisper direction which, despite being clearly inspired by 60s girl groups, points Amy towards the future. The two sounds are the opposites in almost every way but sat side by side they lead to a perfectly balanced half hour record. Together with Amy they were able to create an album which was both a critical success and a chart sensation. Mark Ronson is the person who helped her unlock her potential as a household name. The first album has the same level of skill, but lacks the pop sensibilities to go stratospheric.  The two albums compliment each other beautifully, even if they are a little tough to listen to at times, due to the intensely personal nature of the lyrics (see the deeply poetic Some Unholy War) which reveal more with each listen. There are deep rushes of energy balanced out with steadier, thoughtful moments where Amy Winehouse gives you a complete picture of her at a moment in time.

Sometimes I'm reminded that my biases against pop music keep me away from really great music. Winehouse had such a fantastic voice and the lyrics in this album, conveyed in her soulful voice, were beautiful and haunting given what transpired afterwards. Also, this damn algorithm keeps giving me artists who does tragically young, which sucks for a dude entering into the last phase of life.

What a voice. I prefer her live performances over her studio work but a very enjoyable record.

Shame on me for not giving Amy Winehouse a fairer shake all those years ago. I really wasn’t too in love with her voice at the time and so I didn’t familiarize myself with much more than what was played on the radio. That was a mistake, because this album was absolutely awesome and she had so much personality in her voice that I just didn’t appreciate when I was younger. Back to Black is a phenomenal song. Hands down my favorite on the album. Love is a Losing Game and Tears Dry on Their Own were also great. Lots of heartbreakers on here, but it wasn’t a sad, depressing album. I wish there were more female artists on this list. I’m 380 albums in and so far only about 15% were female solo artists or bands that had female leads. That’s pretty pathetic

She had an incredible and captivating voice. This record fits that perfectly - its full of great songs that I often revisit

I have no good reason to have gone this long without hearing this album in full

Frábær plata með frábærum listamanni sem kvaddi okkur alltof snemma,

Really good. Was surprised at how good it was the first time I heard it

I don't think its the best thing ever made, but its still very good, and i understand why it makes so many GOAT conversations.

Absolutely amazing voice, plus excellent production from Mark Ronson and session work by the DapKings.

id never go to rehab

Best song: Rehab She has a helluva voice but based on the songs, not too surprising she ended up the way she did.

Emotional, raw and witty. Unique voice. Clear inspiration for Adele, but funkier. Not something I'd like to listen to often though, beside Back to Black, which is an old time favorite.

Wow, I did not expect to enjoy this as much I did. Really great album.

Rehab most devastating song in the world that i consistently hear on popular radio actually. I. Have never listened to this. Can't believe I didn't own it at the time tbh. Title track one of the absolute greats. In fact btb into love is a losing game into tears dry on their own? Jesus christ is king. I'll say it's suffering the same effect as American idiot in that knowing too many songs as singles is making the album feel disjointed. Couple of the smaller quieter songs feel kinda meh. Maybe that's a time thing. Builds to the end again tho. Addicted is very good. Thing is of course that the Big moments are so astounding that the songs I'm less into just served to make you say. Damn. This is some potential. I can't wait to hear what she does next.

A number of artists over the years had tried to authentically recapture the sound of 1960s Spector (Phil and Ronnie) pop sound and Motown soul, but no one had managed to do a convincing job of it until Salaam Remi and Mick Ronson produced this Amy Winehouse album. Not an original sound, but wow the performances and production are phenomenal. I think it is fair to say that without this album, we might not have gotten the genius that is Adele six years later who would take this sound and really move it forward into new territory.

Great, but just overplayed now. Very Mark Ronson.

De drums op dit album zijn fenomenaal. Gewoon altijd een goed album, en kort genoeg om niet saai te worden.

Goeie stem, goeie muziek

Musical highlight and simultaneous decline in the life of AmyWinehouse...at least as far as I can tell. She wasn't prepared for this success and ended up with the wrong people. The album is great...lots of influences from the 60s, soul, some chanson and then of course her remarkable voice. It's not really that good for me...but it's concise. The basic tendency of the album is a bit too sad for me. But it is a total work of art. It's right from front to back.

Great album. Bluesy with unapologetic lyrics. Completely tragic in hindsight. Gone way too soon.

Rehab You Know I'm No Good Back to Black Love Is a Losing Game Tears Dry on Their Own

My lucky week getting to listen to two Amy Winehouse albums.

Solid album, she has a great voice. It all sounds good. My only criticism was that it was crazily over played when it came out so it used to grate on me a bit... ...also I couldn't really give a crap about her drug habit or how crappy her boyfriends were, and that's all you ever heard about at the time but that's just cos our press are useless. But again it made me not want to like her music. But I should. Cos it's good.

It's a damn shame. This album is great and it feels like she was just getting started.

The 27 Club really is the biggest "what if?" in recent music history. This is essentially a 1960s Soul Rock album that travelled through a time machine, and was released in 2006. Favorite Track: "Rehab".

She has an amazing voice, lyrically it isn't that captivating but she has definite talent

When Amy Winehouse’s Frank came up for me to review, I was less than excited. I’d carried a distaste for her for, mostly because I associated her music with people I didn’t like. However, I really enjoyed Frank, and my opinion on Amy has shifted drastically since then. I’m heading into this album with high expectations, and I’m excited to see if Back to Black can top Frank! Back to Black didn’t top Frank, but it came pretty damn close. In my opinion, Back to Black is a stronger album as a whole work, but I enjoyed more of the individual songs on Frank. Back to Black is a great soul album, with plenty of pop sensibilities to craft an enjoyable and accessible sound. The production work and songwriting are both great. The sound is polished and classy, but the lyrics are clever, raw, and occasionally crass, creating a contrast that’s quite fun. “Rehab” was probably the song that kickstarted my dislike for Amy Winehouse’s music, but it’s a great song. Every musical element is fantastic; the backing vocals, the bells, the horns, and the bass are all perfect together. Amy’s defiant attitude on this leadoff track is incredibly cheeky and fun. “Back to Black” is fantastic too. I love how the song fades down and then comes back. The strings arrangement is great, and I loved hearing more bells on this song too. “Tears Dry On Their Own” made great use of its sampling of “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” putting a modern spin on a classic melody. “He Can Only Hold Her” was great too, and I loved its laidback and smooth sound. My only complaint with this album is that it’s a lot of the same things I heard on Frank. Listening to both of Amy’s albums is like going to Disneyland twice in the span of year. Yes, it’s a great place to visit, but if there’s been no updates or additions to the park in that time, are you making new memories or just revisiting the old ones? Still, this is a really good album, and I’m happy that my views on Amy Winehouse’s music have been reversed.

I totally get the hype. Strong vocal presence, unique song subjects, and an unreal propensity to convey raw, bitter emotions. “Rehab” is the classic we all know and love, but “Just Friends” is probably my pick of the lot on this record - the reggae / rocksteady influence goes off without a hitch. Also can’t sleep on the following track, “Some Unholy War”. Listening to this makes me feel like Amy Winehouse paved a path for strong female vocalists to come, namely Lana Del Rey & Adele. I went in with high expectations and still came away impressed in many ways

Good amount of versatility in this. Decent voice. at times feels like a soulless impression of genres rather than a genuine attempt. but it is cool that it goes from like bluesy soul to ska-ish. lyrics are meaningful. i mean if youre talking records about a breakup, this is infinitely more personal and ambitious musically than someone like T swift or olivia rodrigo.

Excellent on vinyl. Very consistent all through the album. Amy's voice is a throw back dream. The pace was great for me; not super slow.

It was fine, not really my type of music.

Every track on this album is solid for me, but it's missing something that would bring it up to a 5/5. I think I'd also move "Love is a Losing Game" to the end since it caps off the toxic relationship with men/alcohol story nicely.

There is so much emotion, so much soul in this album. You can feel her anguish, anger and a sort of hope through her vocals. Amazing vocal performance and instruments alongside. Favourite Track(s): Love Is A Losing Game Least Favourite Track(s): Just Friends

Amy has an amazing, unique voice that has so much soul to it. You don’t often hear such soul from British singers, at least until Amy came along and sprang a slew of copycats in the US and UK. The influence that this album had on the next decade plus of pop/rnb/neo-soul female acts is astonishing, and actually kind of annoying. I like Amy and her sound, I even enjoy a fair share of her impersonators, but the sheer volume of people who clearly don’t have their own sound and/or style that do what became almost a caricature of AW is just too much. From that alone, this album deserves to be on this list. It is a historical marker for where a particular singing style came from (even though hers is a evolution of many rnb singers from the 50s-70s). Production on this album is really strong as well. The beats and rhythms are all catchy but not so pop that they lose their appeal after a few listens. Ive listened to listen album dozens of times and hear songs from it quite often, even still in 2025, in bars, restaurants, etc. and it still as enjoyable as it was almost 20 years ago. 7.5/10 #50/1001

What a great week of albums this has been!

a voz da amy winehouse é top 10 melhores vozes da história da música e back to black é uma das músicas mais influentes da década. faz falta a querida...

first listen to this album in my life. It definitely has some very strong tunes on it. It does get a little repetitive at times.

Throwback jams.

Been awhile since I've heard it, great album still holds up.

c: you know i’m no good h: back to black

The voice/vocals have a little pitch and dynamic range, but adequate control, which makes this album soulful. Can't decide if a few songs are misses (question is the album relistenable?) or the album features a lot of good songs (question should I only relisten thoses?). I'll give it four stars going with the first option for now.

There's a reason why Back To Black has endured as an album, especially compared to the other neo-soul / retro-soul albums that popped up in its wake, and a lot of that is down to Amy. A great voice sure, but also able to imbue these songs with an authenticity and emotionality that I think allows her to stand alongside the greats she's inspired by.

pleasantly surprised

Great album, love the songs and production. It’s very compressed and loud compared to more natural sounding recordings. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars

Fantastic

Winehouse has this deep distinctive voice that sounds quite unique for an album from this millennium. The album contains more simplified instrumental accompaniment and gives more of the impression of listening to a lounge singer than a produced album, which is a good thing here. It comes across as refreshingly honest compared to the all too prevalent over processed vocals from many other singers. Definitely worth a listen.

Don't listen to it often, but it's good, with some really really good tracks scattered around. 4

Maybe someone sees something great here, but I think it's just a good music. 4/5

This album makes me long for a very different time. A bittersweet romp through a variety of musical inspirations, but one distinct voice - Amy packs a lot into 34 twistedly sensual minutes. Favourite tracks: You Know I'm No Good, Back To Black, Wake Up Alone

Love so many bangers n even the non bangers add so much to album

it’s alright

Short, tight, soulful. 4/5

Enjoyed this much more than I expected. I had heard a couple of the tracks numerous times before but never really listened properly. Good instrumentals, production and vocals. Good album.

Back To Black is a seminal period album. This project solidified Mark Ronson’s reputation as a producer and catapulted his career of helping artists get into the modern classic groove. It’s a sad study, one of the last “troubled artist” arcs. We watched this one overlayed with modern times and technology. Everyone knew the end and it happened anyway. Relationships are hard and some people feel every part deeply. This is what it sounds like on wax.

A lot of great songs on this album. A bunch that weren't so great either, and the subject matter doesn't really change much. Insane voice and talent obviously.

Great album, beautiful voice RIP Amy, forever 27

Very beautiful.

Great album, never knew what a great R&B vocalist she was..

A masterpiece

Very similar to adeles albums. Laiona says both are sad but this one actually feels sad, which I can agree with in the vocals. I liked it but I can't say I liked all the songs so much to call this a masterpiece.

I really want to like Amy a lot. She had an amazing voice, but I just can't click with the songs the way that others do. Still very much worthy of this list

So classic and nostalgic. The hits are just so good. Makes me happy this music was as mainstream as it was.

Some obvious all-time bangers on here. Great production throughout. Her voice is her voice and hers alone. Like it or not, she was without a doubt the defining and most unique singer of her generation. Side 2 is considerably less impressive in terms of songcraft. Even at only 34 minutes, I was kind of waiting for it to end after a certain point. Very strong 3.5

I never really listened to this album outside of Rehab and Back to Black, it really is a great listen.

truly timeless

Listened to this relatively recently. Absolutely worthy of the 1001 title. Just packed full of excellent songs

Cracking album, packs a punch in it 35 mins. 3 massive songs and rest holds its own

Great! There is something so sad and soothing in her voice. Will definitely listen again. This is jazz everyone can love.

Gone too soon. Great voice.

Great album standout songs: Love is a losing game Tears dry on their own

Wow I had the wrong impression of Amy Winehouse. I never really heard any of her music, I only knew girls who were obsessed with her and let’s just say those women are not the most endearing representation of Winehouse. Based off my wrong impressions I kinda thought she was a low effort, low talent, singer who manifested a specific image cause I thought it was just an image. But I was clearly wrong, she is wildly talented. Her voice is incredible and she clearly likes to show some range cause there’s a shocking amount of variety in this album. It’s almost a perfect album, I do feel there’s a few skips on this album so it can’t be 5 but this album is as close as you can get to perfect album.

Fantastic vocalist plus some great production, doesn't overstay welcome at 34 minutes.. this was a good one I hadn't listened to in awhile.

A bit narcoleptic and theatrical, but there are too many good songs here to simply launch the album into the endless sea of three-star albums.

Album da casalinga supremo

She is so good, so talented and kinda sad. Album rocks, with a few bangers and a couple of holes.

I love the vibe of this album. I love her voice. The songs are great. 4 stars.

A few good ones, not my favorite singing but still has its moments

The title track I love it so much

51/1001 - I listened to a "dynamic edit" by reddit user TopConcern because of the crazy clipping and weirdness going on in the original recording. (I realize it's intentional to sound like older Motown records, but I think there's a difference between using old equipment (sounds fine) and making things sorta sound like old equipment (sounds uncanny)). Not a huge fan of her voice (specifically the way she articulates vowels) but it fits the genre. Winehouse and the backing musicians have great rhythm and feel.

Back to Black song of all time

Shoulda gone to rehab.

Great album, incredible vocals and has the feel of a classic rock diva album

Couple of bangers, otherwise solid.

This was enjoyable, thought the music might be a bit familiar and boring, but her voice and soul is nice

This was a toss up between 3 and 4. I went for 4 because some great songs on there and all the rest were nice and easy listening. Would play again

A pray of love, passion, liberty, loneliness. A fountain of emotions. Nothing in this album is lukewarm.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very poignant in hindsight. Despite a few reservations about the fairly manufactured production, there's nothing manufactured about Amy herself. Undeniably strong album.

Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black seizes you from the opening bars with a raw, unapologetic blend of retro soul and modern despair, reimagining pop through vintage Motown grooves and deeply confessional lyrics that hit harder than your Monday morning coffee. With standout tracks like “You Know I’m No Good” and “Rehab,” the album channels the spirit of 1960s girl groups through a contemporary lens, delivering intimate diary-like confessions laced with defiant self-destruction. In a pop landscape awash with cookie-cutter tunes, Winehouse’s record not only cemented her as one of the most compelling voices of her generation but also proves that if heartbreak were an Olympic sport, she’d be standing on the podium with a gold medal and a cheeky smirk.

Enjoyable, good for background noise. well produced.

Definitely some songs I knew on here but didn't really resonate with me overall. Still an interesting sound and unique to say the least. Rated a little higher for being out of the ordinary

A soulful, beautifully written, beautifully produced record. Definitely bittersweet in retrospect but Amy Winehouse has a beautiful voice and the songs to back it up. Rehab was the big single but Back to Black is absolutely the show-stopper here. All great writing and music, every track. 4.5⭐️

Great music. Love her songs. This album gives plenty of nods to the classics but I cant get myself to call it a classic.

7/10 The back up band is pretty good here, not great, but her voice is something else. 2-15-2025

• 4/5 • retro but somehow original and idiosyncratic

Rehab, Tears Dry On Their Own, and the title track are all decent, the rest are fine. Nice short album

Even though it's not something I'd usually choose to listen to, I have to say it's quite good.

9/10 - amazing album

This is a good album but I HATE neo soul.

Great album

simultaneously original and innovative while still being timelessly classic. 8.2/10

Great songs. Very familiar with this album. Very poorly recorded!

-**Rehab: the instrumentals are so good, how do you outshine those? Have a voice like Amy Winehouse. -*You Know I’m No Good: beautiful; I want this played in a smoky club while Amy is on the small stage on a stool. Everyone dressed in modern 1920s-esque clothes. -Me & Mr. Jones: meh -Just Friends: meh, feels like the music and singing don’t go together well -**Back to Black: so good, that’s a jam -Love is a Losing Game: same thought as “You Know I’m No Good”; slow-dancer -*Tears Dry On Their Own: this one is fun, her voice is so fun to listen to -Wake Up Alone: bit too slow, but good contrast to other songs on the album -Some Unholy War: just ok to me -*He Can Only Hold Her: backup vocals, lead vocals, instrumentals and lyrics all working so well together, good -Addicted: didn’t quite hold my interest, but as with all the songs here, the lyrics are interesting, vocals and instruments are great Giving me an edgy/modern take on 60s rock ‘n’ roll. It surprises me that these songs are from the 2000s. Amy’s voice is so soulful and aged compared to her youth. What a unique and interesting talent that was lost so young. Even though a spotlight has shone on her short career because of its tragedy, I think the attention is deserved. As a songwriter and vocalist, she was incredible. This is a fantastic album. I went from knowing little about Amy Winehouse to wanting to hear more. *would download **heard before Note: reviewed “clean” version

I remember when "Rehab" came out and it became instantly huge. It seemed to come out of nowhere. Of course, there was a lot build up that I wasn't aware of. This album is great, and despite have a sound very specific of the time, it has aged pretty well. The vocals are, or course, the main event. A deep howl that sounded simultaneously retro and modern. There were many singers who came onto the scene right after this album came who sang in a similar style, the most successful of whom was Adele. Key tracks: Rehab You Know I'm No Good Back to Black Tears Dry on Their Own

Another album I knew I was going to hate. Big surprise that I didn't.

What a sweet, delicious, vulgar and promiscuous album done by a sweetheart we lost too soon <3

Amazing depth, soul, and R&B from a young Brit woman. Such a shame she died so young.

It's great. I'll need to relisten to it to get a more concrete opinion, but yeah, it's great. 8/10

Amy Winehouse was never really an artist I paid much attention to at the height of her stardom. Perhaps I was too young or her work never really reached me. I guess only recently I've come to appreciate what she provided to the music industry and how influential she really was. "Back to Black" is probably the pinnacle of the British soul emergence of the late 2000s. Amy Winehouse loved the 50s and 60s pop/soul girl groups and that influence is heavily heard throughout this album (and also seen in Winehouse's persona itself during her performing years). I happen to like that era of soul music too, so it's quite refreshing hearing a 21st century take on that sound. Consider that also a strong testament to the production work done by both Remi and Ronson to accurately capture the overall sound of that era. Yes, this is considered a "breakup" record, as the predominant theme revolves around the recent (at the time) split between Winehouse and her ex-boyfriend. Breakup records tend to be pretty shallow and one-note though, and that doesn't really feel like the case here. Winehouse also looks inward and touches on her drug addiction here and there, so there's more depth than one would initially expect. Winehouse's unfortunate death in 2011 meant this would ultimately be her last studio album, but her & her music are loved more than ever now and continue to inspire many.

Such an incredible retro sound absolutely loved it. It was a bit top heavy... Everything up to and including the title track are just banger after banger. The bottom half still sizzles tought (8.65) ★★★★

Unique sound

1e helft van t album is legendarisch 2e helft vind ik wat minder

Such a soulful, from the heart singer. As with so many others, gone too soon. This album feels like a bit of a throwback but Amy Winehouse makes it her own.

very fun summer music; kinda what you expect.

I'll stand by this - Rehab sucks. Not the place - the song. SO many other better tracks on here to put as the lead. You can bury Rehab on the B-side. I know it's unpopular. But that's just like my opinion, man. But other than that really great 60's soul inspired music. Hard to hate

Really good album. Feels like a modern take of the Motown girl groups. Another amazing talent lost to drug and alcohol abuse.

Modern production meets retro stylings. Wonderful pop songwriting with vulnerable, youthful energy. Great arrangements and use of a horn section in an 00s album.

What a voice, such a terrible shame. This album will always remind me of what could have been.

Great album. I always loved her retro sound.

I never quite understood Amy's appeal, but listening made me think about what life she must've had and I realize it's more story. I think I can appreciate it a lot more now.

running through my reviews is the gold-standard album: Different Class, Back In Black, Lexicon of Love, tapestry, Ray of Light. Take the monster singles out (usually four at least) and what's left? As an ep how many stars would it rate. In the above cases five stars, in this case three. So with the singles four stars then.

Distinctive voice and solid production. Good songs. Pretty good all round

What a voice Some good tunes Iconic

Classic album and very pivotal in the jazz revival of female singers in the UK. I like the consistent instrumentals and flow of the tracks. Main highlight js of course Amy’s voice and writing. Highly recommend for anyone to listen to. 8/10

Back to life with a powerhouse of a voice lost to corruption.

A classic album by Amy Winehouse. I thoroughly enjoyed it and my favorites were Rehab and Back To Black.

I liked it

Iconic album

Always weird to listen to something where I have a relationship with the artist, but haven’t actually listened to much of her work. Unfortunately, it all tracks with her sad story. Talented artist, no doubt, but her struggles are well documented in her work.

This could have been so corny but it never tips into schmaltz

Great, soulful album. She left us too early.

Love her voice. Tragic ending for a rising star.

Great album and voice. Love is a losing game personal favourite

I liked this a lot more than I expected. I was never very fond of Rehab, think I've just been far too exposed to it for nearly 20 years and got sick of it. Nothing else was familiar though Amy Winehouse was clearly very talented, the gritty honesty of her lyrics coupled with the 50s/60s R&B, swing and blues throwback instrumentation (without blatantly copying it) come together very well. You can see where the influences on this came from but it still feels fresh, perhaps in part to Mark Ronson's punchy and dynamic production. Amy's voice and the instruments sound quite spacious, giving everything a bit of space to breath and distinguish itself, also adding to that atmosphere I'll say 3.5 for now Highlights: Some Unholy War, You Know I'm No Good

A really good album that came out of nowhere for me! Instrumental is great and the vocal performance is amazing.

She mastered the genres she was inspired by and created a true classic here. Respect.

Great album! Hit upon monster hit! Wtf, then you go die? Stupid. So incredibly, soulfully stupid.

Her voice really is special, even if she is a mimic of some of the best soul singers of eras past.

Amy Winehouse x Marc Ronson record of absolute class. Cannot fault this one at all, the aesthetic is masterfully crafted. Grew up listening to this one too, thanks to my mother. Brings me right back! A very high 4* for me.

Listened to the Deluxe album and wasn't a huge fan of the second disc. However the first, era defining and raw. Amy Winehouse's voice is one of the best at communicating an idea, especially with Mark Ronson building the perfect backdrop to her defiance. I didn't realise how many songs on this album I had heard before, it was hit after hit, catchy song after catchy song, and Amy's raw emotion on show in such a beautifully articulated way. This was good, really good, but nothing mind blowingly amazing. However, I must consider the impact it had on artists like Adele, who went on to release some of the greatest ballads of all time. Great work, really like it.

Classic songs

Rehab - I don't find the lyrics charming but her singing is impressive You Know I'm No Good - Compared to Adele this album is a lot swankier and more charismatic. I like the drums on this track. Me & Mr. Jones - She's like a one woman version of a Phil Spector girl band. Favorite track so far. Just Friends - Reggae vibe on this one. The last two tracks were of a nice short length. Back to Black - Sunburnt guitars aide the angst on this track. Strings are a nice dramatic touch. Very evocative chorus. Love Is a Losing Game - The perfect comedown from the title track. Tears Dry on Their Own - Sounds like ain't no mountain higher. Wake Up Alone - Weakest one so far Some Unholy War - Didn't care for this one either He Can Only Hold Her - Nice backing vocals and layers on this one Addicted - Song about weed is cringe Overall this album has a lot of class and some impressive singing. The backing instrumentation had enough variety to keep me engaged. Her vocals came across as effortless in the best way possible. Sad we lost such a great talent. Don't do drugs.

I know the singles well as they soundtracked the era so a nice nostalgia trip. Did not really get on with Frank - but this album is a much more commercial sounding - with a very retro soul vibe which is a much easier listen. Great voice/ great production.

Pretty good.

I ignored this at the time, but is very enjoyable. A good length too! Lyrics quite depressing though considering her end.

Ooh, very nice. I was only sort of familiar with this artist before listening to this album, and I'm glad I got to hear more of her work.

The vocals, the production, the songwriting, the relatability, it's all there; you're not getting your classic pop any better than this.

Solid tracks

Great album. Her voice was so iconic.

Favorite Track: He Can Only Hold Her

* Has the last track, Addicted, always been here? * Where’s the Ghostface remix?! * I feel like there are a couple of filler songs here, or maybe they aren’t filler and I just don’t care for them * The title track alone almost makes this a 5 * What an actual tragic loss <3

Already a favorite. It was great to re-listen a lot of these songs are currently on the rotation. Her voice is great and the sound is well done

I guess this is pop, but it's so seeped in roul and R&B that it almost doesn't count. It's not for nothing that she won 5 Grammy's. This album was everywhere and feels very real Standouts Rehab You Know I'm No Good 4/5

Liked it. Knew the name, never gave her a listen. Would listen to again.

This is an awesome album and I kept it in my ears for an extra day just to savor it. I have never listened to this album, start to finish. What an oversight! I could listen to the track Back in Black over and over again. This album is even more impactful knowing the tragedy of her situation and premature death. Almost a 5! (Sorry @boopidoo) Im sure it will be in time!

"This time I was like, 'fuck it, I know what I’m talking about'. You definitely get a self-belief. Whereas before you’re like, 'well, the record company must know what they’re talking about' They do know what they’re talking about from a marketing standpoint..." Amy Winehouse "Life and soul". Interviewed by Craig McLean from The List (circa 2007) Highlights: Tears Dry On Their Own, Wake Up Alone, Love Is A Losing Game, You Know That I'm No Good, Me and Mr Jones. In a nutshell: the millenial queen of blue eyed soul* Songwriting was cathartic for Amy. She wasn't afraid of being vulnerable or looking stupid, both in her career and personal life. All packaged in a crooning 60's soul/Motown sound. With Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi on producing duties, this was the makings of a Classic Album™. I can't find anything to dislike about this album. Even the looped sample of "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" didn't deter me from its charm. *Dusty Springfield was publicly dubbed the "(reluctant) Queen of Blue Eyed Soul". Bestowing Amy that title is justified. Yes, she released two albums in her short life (a third album was released posthumously) yet her impact on the music landscape was phenomenal. How can that be ignored? She did more for music than Adele did. Overall: 8/10

Barring some of the production quirks which can make some stuff muddy or Amy's voice crackle (idk if its the mic peaking or distortion), this album is still pretty wonderfully made. Something like this isn't my usual cup of tea and at worst I would be more critical of its throwback aesthetics, but I think it manages to pull them off in a genuine manner that doesn't leave me feeling like its boring or annoyingly evoking the past. More than anything though, Amy's voice and how she communicates her emotions and troubles really cuts through everything and it elevates it into something that makes me understand why this was such a big hit when it came out and how it made her passing such a great loss. I expected it to like it somewhat but as far as pop albums from the past decade, this one is great

I will always appreciate this album 4/5

A really enjoyable listen. The music is interesting and the singing is fantastic, although the lyrics are a bit depressing. Sounds like a contemporary (ish) take on 60s style soul and R&B.

Super solid and has some real classics on it like Rehab and the title track. Her story means this will probably always be considered a classic, even if it's not groundbreaking or anything. Deserves it's spot though, everyone should hear this once.

Tolles Album.

Although I’ve heard this album before I tried to listen to it with a new perspective. Back To Black is dark, funny, raw, and heartbreakingly real all at once. The help of Mark Ronson’s Motown style production feels perfect, but Amy’s beautiful, brutal, witty and personal lyrics paired with her unique voice make it feel one of a kind. 4.5/5

Still so sad what happened to her. The lyrics are quite good and I groove with most of the music. 4.5/5

Старушка хороша была, жаль спилась сторчалась и ливнула из этой жизни

Slept on this album for ages. It's really damn good. Not much more to say than that. Just really damn good.

I wasn’t a fan of Amy’s when she was alive but watched the film about her 4 weeks ago then listened to back to back. I Enjoyed the album specially her lyrics. Relistened again and have the same feeling.

Yep, still sounds incredible!

What a great voice and what a tragic story. I am very familiar with the album but gave it a full listen again. Some of these songs really tell you what Amy is going through in her life. The whole sound is like that of old Motown/Phil Spectre times and Amy really nails the whole 60s aesthetic. Hats off to the Daptones on this album. They killed it, and the album would not have its sound without them.

++*: Rehab ++: Me & Mr. Jones, Just Friends, Back to Black, Tears Dry on Their Own, Wake Up Alone, He Can Only Hold Her, Addicted +: You Know I'm No Good, Love Is a Losing Game, Some Unholy War 8,5/10

Not much better "fuckery" on this entire list and how much more one would have liked to hear. Every song has merit but "Rehab," "Me and Mr, Jones" and "Love Is a Losing Game" are all standouts. Just great.

Such a great voice for the music style. Really enjoyed this.

Komplet bonkers at hun lavede den her plade som 23-årig, lyden er for vild og hendes stemme er for vild. Meget bedre and den anden Amy Winehouse plade vi havde.

Nice easy listening album, great songs, great voice, not exactly going on repeat, but I enjoyed it. Smol 4

Solid album. Favourite was back to black

Amy has an incredible voice. I really liked this sort of "new feel" for Motown / soul. Great voice, great composition.

I respect Amy Winehouse but I've heard the hits too many times. Good album nonetheless.

Классный альбом, мне по духу, но чувствуется чуть старости, впринципе душевный, очень качественный

What a voice. Gone much too soon.

She feels it.

Dap-kings!

She's alright

Legendarily good vocals, pretty catchy songs and a few notable standouts (Rehab is incredible obviously). Not the type of music I’d usually come back to as an album though, probably 3.5-4

En ollut kuunnellut kokonaisena levynä aiemmin mutta yllättävän ehjä kokonaisuus. 4/5

She was a great talent. Had a beautiful voice, and this album is top to bottom excellent.

I’ve always liked Amy but had never listened to this album in full. Still like her - probably 3.5 rounded up to 4.

An excellent, if maybe a bit top heavy, album. Rehab is a strong opener to live up with. Tight production, consistent sound. High 4.

Lijepa je produkcija i to sve ali ovaj album ne bi bio ništa bez njene karizme

Hard to separate the art from the artist here, considering the nature of her death and the lyrical content of these tunes. But, if you manage to see through that, you find heartfelt tunes and a voice as strong as any in the biz. She is such a force, and can imbue every sounds she makes with meaning. While there are a few misses on this album, it plays well in its entirety.

Iconic. Not entirely my style, but still an enjoyable listen.

Now I was a 7 years when this album came out, but I remember how much it was played and the peak popularity of Amy Winehouse. However, I did not realise how many of these recognisable songs were from Back to Black. The eponymous song is obvious, but others, such as You Know I'm No good. I didn't realise were on the same album. For the impact Amy Winehouse had, she only had a short career with two whole albums. She's the only modern mainstream musician I can currently think of who made jazzy soulful songs that were legitimately incredibly popular, which I think says something about both the music itself, and I suppose her quite honest and meaningful lyrics. It's a pretty good album. I reserve 5 stars for the albums I think are among the very best in every way, which I don't think Back to Black quite meets, but it's very good.

Beautiful, really soulful

The album is better than the 2 singles that were released thankfully

Even if she isn't exactly my cup of tea, her influence and unique style are both undeniable

Jodå, för fasiken.

I think this is a good album. For me it treads the line well between homage to the older sound and just ripping it off. Most art is a stolen from a million different ideas, but the difference majer here is that it is done very well. Her voice is strong and conveys a lot of emotion, the song writing, arrangement and priduction are superb and her story adds additional gravity to the lyrics.

'Back to Black' sees Winehouse shift from the neo-soul of her debut album, to heavy influence from 60s girl groups like the Shangri Las. The innocence evoked from that early pop music contrasts starkly with the very tragic lyrics. You can't help but imagine the scandal of one of those 60s artists singing about rehab but Winehouse does it truthfully and bluntly. It's a bit unsettling to think of so many people singing along to one of popular music's most obvious cries for help. Winehouse's early death was shocking but probably surprised few of us, given her lifestyle. She was a unique talent and filled a void in the music industry that few knew we had. Truthfully, the tracks produced by Mark Ronson are a lot better than the Salaam Remi ones. But it's a definitely a powerful album regardless.

I’m surprised at how much I enjoy this. I knew from hearing “Rehab” in high school, and various snippets over the years, what her music sounded like, but I didn’t realize how authentic it would come across in an album context. I also was surprised to learn that she wrote all her songs instead of covering old standards — I would have thought there’d be at least one or two covers on here. I realize, listening to this for the first time, that Amy Winehouse was a very unique artist, combining her lyrical and journalistic darkness and edge with a lush throwback soul and jazz sound — and yet coming across completely genuine. She sounds like she grew up studying the origins of the kind of music she makes. Admittedly, by the end of the album, my attention fades a little bit. I’d have to listen a few more times before I pick up on the lyrics and tracks that resonate most. Overall, though, I loved this first listen, added it to my library, and will likely revisit in the future.

Such a unique voice, feel the emotion in the music and lyrics. Brass instruments so good, some of keyboard backing sounds a little harsh, so will seek some Amy music with orchestra music

All right, all right, all right already. I finally understand. It’s not that I didn’t like the shingles. I did. it’s not that I didn’t understand the tortured soul of an addict. I certainly did. It’s not that I didn’t enjoy the retro vibe. I did. Just didn’t understand the mass appeal. I just didn’t get the connection in the attraction. But now that I listened to the entire album multiple times I do. I guess I’m a fan. Anyone make a song with the opening line? What kind of Fuckery is? This is good in my book.

New sound of an old sound. Another Star that burned so hot and faded away at 27. Misadventure took away a tremendous talent. Cool album.

Felt like a better version of the Adelle album I had to listen to (25). Great vocals, instruments felt more active in the song, in general a little more upbeat than Adelle. That isn't to say you couldn't find some catharsis listening to this album, but once again, not really my jam. Although I definitely understand the appeal.

It was pretty nice. Sweet music and a comforting voice. Would rate 4.5

I've heard this before, it wasn't my favorite but it's still a great album and an absolute landmark for r&b

Love this album, really great retro sound with awesome vocals from Amy. You Know I'm No Good, He can only hold her, tears dry on their own, and back to black are all really great. Not quite a 5 I think some songs drop into just existing, but a strong 4. Lyrics are great too

p910. 2006. 4 stars. Not her very best work - see "Frank" for that - but it's still brilliant work from one of the very best voices and songwriters of the early millennium. Point deducted for the intrusive production and the occasional filler.

Classic album, would say 4.5

Found many songs to be catchy, even if the themes are not. Songs to come back for: He Can Only Hold Her (but several more I liked)

Really good album. I've heard it before and actually own it. It's very nice bluesey/loungey singing. Seems like she had a lot of potential and could have made many more excellent albums.

Amy is a wonderful vocalist, and deliveries an immense amount of character and power in her voice. If you don't enjoy Soul or RnB, then this album won't seem special at all, but it is an immense project. Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi did a fantastic job in producing these tracks, and giving the album a timeless sound. I like the touches of doo-wop and samples from the golden era of 60s soul. The 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough' sample at the core of Tears Dry on Their Own is particularly great, and Amy does a good job of reinventing the wheel with this track. The majority of this album being written solely by Amy is impressive too, and I think the songwriting is underrated and oft overshadowed by her vocal performances. 'Rehab' is exceedingly overplayed however, and I don't think I will ever enjoy that song. It is quite tragic considering the circumstances of her death, also. I think 'Addicted' is a pretty weak album closer too, and didn't particularly care for the track. I wish her rendition of Valerie was included on the original version of this album also. Favourite tracks: Love is a Losing Game, Tears Dry on Their Own, Wake Up Alone

I've got some odd feelings with this one. As nasty as the subject matter is and how it ultimately tied into Amy's fate. This is musically pretty fucking fantastic. But not necessarily something I would go to frequently. It's not that I'm put off by the subject matter or anything. But rather that I think this throwback soul kind of album really became prominent from weaker artists in no small part thanks to the success of Back to Black. I think this has partially made me feel a bit numb to these sorts of melodies in a sense, but I can definitely still appreciate what is on display here. The instrumentation and production feel sincere to the era it is trying to represent and Amy's voice is an incredible fit. In terms of tracks that stood out to me, the album doesn't really feel lopsided but rather like there is padding between each of the good parts. I really like the opening Rehab song, as well as the middle stretch between Back to Black and Tears Dry on their Own. The final song Addicted is also quite nice even if it's not my favourite song to close on, the juxtaposition between the opening and closing songs of course being fairly grim. And foreshadowing what was to come not long after the album. I feel like the rest of the album is good to decent but does not stand out to me as much given my previous reasoning. I find the global rating for this to be quite surprising, my rating is effectively spot on with it but I would say there are better albums than this I have seen so far that have much more middling scores. I would like to imagine this is not just the same issue that people complained about with positive posthumous reviews for Blackstar when that came out. Though I can see why this would be an album that a lot of people can feel strongly sentimentality and relatability with. 7.5 points above the BAC Limit/10 Highlights: Rehab, Back to Black, Love is a Losing Game, Tears Dry on Their Own

Tormented artist second and last studio album. Has a deep and vibrant voice, a nostalgia-given modernized sound. A Good album to listen during 40minutes.

got some bangers overall, really easy listen, i can see why this is some people’s first record, amazing

Best Song: Tears Dry On Their Own. This feels like the biggest and most ambitious production on the album, and some of the phrasing that Amy uses are just undeniably catchy. Worst Song: Just Friends. I really wasn't a fan of the "oom-pa" rhythm that ceaselessly ran in the background. Overall: Beautiful voice, with songs that drip with an undeniably individual character. The production is great, and the whole album carries this air of almost joyous melancholy that I can't remember hearing elsewhere.

4 maybe 5

While it’s not my style, man she had some pipes.

good album great singi g and production

I think the only thing people may not like about Amy Winehouse is her voice and the way she sings. But people also really like her for that exact reason. Musically pleasing, the band is solid. Her blusey, soulful singing is on point. I’m assuming this was her breakthrough album. 5 stars says I’ll return to listen to it again. I just can’t do it. This is a good start if you’re someone like me who wanted to delve into the world of Amy Winehouse. It’s feel good music covering a world of pain . Choice cut: You Know I’m No Good

It’s very good, surprisingly so. It’s not really my kind of music, but it’s undeniably catchy. I’m going to say it starts to get a bit old. Y the last couple songs, but I won’t sing it to hard because it has the decency to clock in at an excellently paced 35 minutes. One of the relatively rare albums that lives up to the hype.

A pleasant album, easy to listen to. I never really understood the fuss about AW, she sounds good but nothing special IMO. Anyway, good album, worth a listen

longstanding blindspot i should have filled ages ago. the mastering is rough on my ears unfortunately, which is a big issue, but its the only issue i can pawsibly raise. she has to have been one of the most memorable singers probably Ever, and despite my production complaints the actual arrangements are so Zesty and Poppy. some rly nasty licks on occasion too! hoping this one will get a better remaster eventually. the title track made me lift a few feet off the ground

Such a shame we never got more music…

Pisse lækkert, soul, rnb

Great stuff. Better than I expected (and I already thought it was good).

very good album. Had this when it was released. Gone too soon

A timeless classic - mostly because it mimicked, sampled or re-created styles and sounds from the bygone era of the 1960s Motown and Doo wop. Never been a big fan of the opening track "Rehab" for some reason. Every other track though is killer. But that opener - for better or worse - clearly prevents me from ranking this no higher than a 4.

Excellent overall. Really shows how much range and emotion she had when at her best

Pretty good, a bit sad, also drug mentions.

Good album

So good. 4

I never realised how angry this record is, despite the nostalgic 60s sound! The production is a beautiful remaking of the classic soul aesthetic from the hayday of Motown. At the same time, it clearly shows the troubled front woman who died far to early.

Solid but absolutely heartbreaking album. You Know I'm No Good is an all time banger. Considering all she went through, it's a bit of a miracle this album sounds so fresh despite here many issues.

It’s impossible to hear Back to Black and not think of the tragic way Amy Winehouse’s brief life ended—her struggles are woven into the DNA of every song. But there’s real joy in her work, a retro sheen to the arrangements and lyrics that deal with modern problems with a sly wink.

brilliant

I love a couple of the songs and enjoy the funky vibe of the rest.

i think i prefer Frank, but this is undeniably great too. such a shame we lost her so soon.

Lleno de clasicos y una Amy que gritaba sus letras con amor. Gran disco 8/10

Good performances from Amy. Not my favorite thing in the world but it was alright. Cool!

What a great album. Tears Dry On Their Own and Love Is A Losing Game are stand outs for me and a record that is crammed with other great songs. Such a shame she died so young, definitely an artist that makes you think “ I wonder what she’d be doing now…”
