This album shows Young's growth as a song writer
I think The Velvet Underground and Nico is a better album.
A great album with several clasic 60's songs
Great sound for a first album
Parton is an excellent song writer but she is limited by the constraints of mainstream country music
If you want someone to tug on your feelings....come here.
Not a big U2 fan. The album in total was better than the singles on it.
Great instrumentalists! I'd give them 5 stars if the vocalist didn't sing every damned song the same.
Curtis Mayfield at his finest
Some singers are in the pocket some are a little before or after the pocket. Willie sings when he wants to...the pocket be damned. It's one of the things that make him one of a kind.
As good as this album is her "To Bring You My Love" is even better
Musically they are good but lyrically they just repeat the same words over and over......and over
As much a poet as a song writer. It is easy to see why so many budding song writers of the 60's/70's drew inspiration from Dylan
Probably the album that did more than any other to add Latin beat/percussion to 60's music
Truly showing the potential of Janis Joplin
A master class in lyric writing
