Mekonspretty meh
pretty meh
I dont have words to describe this banal piece of childish crap. I tried I really tried to listen but after three tracks my brain was dead. I rested and gave it another go later, again 3 tracks was the utter limit of the nonsense. Last three tracks I skipped. One star cos cant give none
Not my thing. Got bored by the end.
stopped listening.
Not an album to listen to before you die, more an album youd rather die than listen to again.
pretty meh
Some catchy tunes but a bit too stage musical for my liking.
awful y'all
awful, just awful.
Im sure it sounded better in the 70's
It wasnt as bad as I was expecting . Not keen on his voice though.
His politics and views aside, this is perhaps one of the biggest piles of crap I have ever heard. It was painful to finish. A resounding 0 stars if I could
First track made me wonder if I was going to like it. Insane drumming, loved it by the end of the track.
This album hit the giddy heights of mehness. Forgot it was playing.
was interesting in places but lost me when he started that dreadful tuneless whistling. 0 stars for that alone.
Good ol' rock n Roll is a part of music history, but there are better examples around. Loved the bluesy tracks but i cant get away with his voice.
I enjoyed this. A couple of tracks were very evocative of good times. Lyrics on some tracks were very Ray Davies meets Syd Barrett. Liked it a lot.
I dont remember this album being so doleful.
great from start to finish, some brilliant bluesy tracks, I cant quit you babe and dazed and confused. Its not even their best album, merely a taste of whats to come.
not for me.
meh. comme ci, comme ça, to pinch the pun.
It was madonna. Just a bit nothing but not too bad to turn off.
What can I say. One of their best
Not a fan of Bonos voice. He tries too hard and ends up sounding like hes straining for a poo. That aside The Edge makes up for it with a fairly unique guitar sound. Drummer Larry Mullen Jnr is ok. Catchy singalong tunes but thats probably because they milked the album for singles.
Hated it
It was so dull, and he really REALLY cant sing the blues.
Its not brilliant but evokes such nostalgia for me. Can hear the Nick Lowe in there.
What a dirge. From start to finish this was depressive, doleful tunes and whined lyrics. She has a lovely voice but wasted on this nonsense.
It was really enjoyable . a singalong album if only I knew the words
Unique, took a little while to really get into it but Im glad I persevered I enjoyed it a lot.
disappointed at yet another 1990's "classic" It was as expected crap. Saving grace was a decent bit of guitar now and then, but really they should have bought a drum kit.
No surprises here. It was Paul Simon and not at his best either. Pretty bland stuff
You can tell its quality produced, no denying his talent and musicianship. I just didnt like the sound much.
I was irritated by that constant jangling piano. It drove me barmy. It was like chinese water torture but less tuneful.
Better than I expected but still not my thing. Turned it off.
This was a really monotonous album, all tracks, well most sounded the same. Dull and flat there was nothing to it at all. Needed a bit of oomph.
a great listen to wake up to.
Not their best album but thoroughly enjoyed, hadnt heard any Fairport for years, it was a good listen
a complete and utter load of miserable, insipid strumming along to dirgey songs. Couldnt wait for it to end.
great album, had me singing along at silly oclock in the morning before Id finished morning coffee. The BB of the group are quite ingenious with their production.
I had forgotten just how much I love this album. Its perfection from the first note to the last. Tangerine is one of my all time favourite tracks. The album and in fact Zeppelin havent dated a bit.
Its crap.
Bob Dylan is a great songwriter. His protest lyrics are timeless and are just as relevant today as they were when he wrote them.
Insipid wannabe Simon and Garfunkel. I couldnt shake the feeling that this was just a bit of a pisstake. Reminded me of a song from Horrible Histories. "More than 50 words to leave your language to your liking..thank a viking." Baynton and Rickard are better songwriters though.
what can I say, great piece of swamp rock got me wide awake and footstompin while looking for a washboard and a thimble. Sorry not sorry if it woke next door neighbour at 5 am
I love this Bowie persona, not an ultimate favourite but its not easy to compare them
enjoyed it, could hear a Bowie influence but thought the vocal style was very Mick Jagger. Really good listen
The first track was not at all what I expected from a band with such a naff name. I was pleasantly surprised with some really good blues guitar. From there Im afraid it, track by track, descended into just as I expected from a band with such a naff name. A couple of tracks were ok but over all a disappointment after a really really good opening track
Some of it was good. Some of it was awful. He whistled, there can be no forgiveness, totally lost me the second he puckered.
Loved it. Clapton is a bloody brilliant blues guitarist.
it was an abomination. What a racket.
His dull, flat miserable voice really got on my nerves. What a doleful dirge of an album.
I dont have words to describe this banal piece of childish crap. I tried I really tried to listen but after three tracks my brain was dead. I rested and gave it another go later, again 3 tracks was the utter limit of the nonsense. Last three tracks I skipped. One star cos cant give none
There was some really good tracks on this album. Enjoyed it a lot.
i didnt really like it. was a classy sound but not to my taste, really slow and dirgey
The supposed satire of this was utterly lost on me. One tune endlessly picked on his geetaar. Lyrics were just a jumble of words telling what he did that day or who he knew.. it got on my nerves, what is this doing on this list?
It was ok, nothing to write home about but nothing to switch off in a hurry. Philip Bailey has a good voice but capable of more.
It was assault on the ears. Rap for the under 5's. Bloody awful.
this was awful, it sounded like it had been recorded in a tool shop. Pity because at times through the pain I thought I heard pretty decent guitar. Im not buying that people actually like it.
another awful album. Tedious vocal. Was sick of it by the end.
brilliant album.
A resounding meh, limp vocal that went nowhere.
really enjoyed this album. I had no expectations and was really pleasantly surprised.
Loved it. Nice chilled album for first thing in the morning with nothing to rush for.
great album. You really cant dislike Alice Cooper. Great showman.
drab and irritatingly boring. wanted to strangle the singer. some great reviews!
was horrible just an irritating noise
bland background noise to start with. Then became increasingly irritating. Not a fan
It was odd. The first track was l'orrible, an accordion???? I could just picture a metal band in stripey t.shirts and berets. Didnt do it for me. It picked up from there, vocal was pretty good, even if it was in french. However the whole album lacked a decent drum. Finally heard a drum towards the end, pity they didnt have drumsticks. It wasnt that bad but I disagree that its a masterpiece. They have better tracks.
Not their best album. It wasnt varied enough. Having said that I could listen to Paul Rogers voice all day (maybe). Bak in the day he was referred to as sex on wax.
Not my cup of tea, but she writes a good song. She is what she is and thats ok. Guilty pleasure this was
I didnt know what to expect. Very pleasantly surprised, enjoyed it a lot. First track was crap, rest was fine.
was expecting something a lot heavier, more metal with a name like Primal Scream, instead met with this wishy washy lot of noise. It picked up in places then went back to the noises. Disappointed
It was just inoffensive background noise, nothing special
bland 80's pop. Didnt care for it at the time, still dont. Didnt switch off but sort of stopped actively listening last few tracks. Meh
pretty crap to be honest. No clue why anyone would want to listen to it
it was dull and monotonous. pretty crap.
It was all good fun, not keen on the organ sounds, kept waiting for it to launch into Oh I do like to be beside the seaside. It was all very holiday camp or morning cinema coming up through the floor.
bit boring
It was ok, nothing very original about it, could hear vocals striving to be Bob Dylan at times. One song sounded remarkably like very early Who, another like Nights in white satin and some tracks made me think thats what the Beatles would sound like if they could play their instruments properly and got a decent vocalist. some of it jolly background noise.
got through 6 tracks, dont know how. What a load of bilge. Lived up to the title, chronic indeed.
