This must've been about the time he lost his silly ass mind. One of the worst albums I've ever suffered through. Beats suck, lyrics suck, and nothing worth listening to again on the whole album. I've got lots of Kanye songs from earlier albums in my library that I love, but this is just garbage and basically everything after he did The Throne with Jay-Z is too as far as I can tell.

0/10 Kao prvo, Kanye mentalno nije dobro niti je zdrav. Kao drugo, oduvijek je bio jedna od tupijih olovaka u pernici pa mu ni to ne ide u korist. Uz ta dva navedena hendikepa, jos je i neonacist (ili bi to htio biti, sto je svejedno paradoksalno s obzirom na ocito), a i nisam vidio nikad nekog s vecim egom od njega u showbusinessu. Znao sam si upaliti na yt neke njegove izjave i momente da me zabave umjesto south parka, ali mi je uvijek ostavilo gorak okus u ustima. Uspio je eto biti jedan od najplacenijih artista i osoba koju su svi htjeli imati u kolaboracijama (danas se to malo stisalo jer objavljuje svastike i ponasa se neuračunljivo), a i svi artisti koji ga hvale su defaultno namjesteni da kazu da je jedan od najvecih genija u muzici, bez obzira na sve, jer ka-ching! Meni je osobno sve sto sam od njega cuo u najmanju ruku stupidno i iritantno, i zbog muzike i njegove groteskne pojave. Yeezus je album posvecen sebi, svom liku i djelu, kao prikaz svojevrsne reinkarnacije isusa, a inovativni glazbeni momenti, ako ih i ima, me u ovom slucaju uopce ne zanimaju. Uz svu muku, htio sam ovaj album pustiti od pocetka do kraja, ali bi zauvijek zalio sto sam potrosio sat vremena svog zivota na njega. Sto god on napravio u glazbi, koji god (cak i meni dragi) artisti imali rijeci hvale za njega, koliko god mu produkcija moze biti na najvecem mogucem levelu s obzirom na lovu koju ima i s tehnologijom kojom raspolaze, pa cak i talent koji neki vide a drugi ne; njegova persona, stavovi i ponasanje ce mi uvijek zasjeniti ono sto je napravio do sad. That being said, ovaj album ne moze dobiti vise od nule. Odjebi kanye.

I’d like to attest right off the bat that Kanye West is a cunt. Nothing he has ever or will ever produce will detract in any way from what a cunt he is. Moving right along. I was curious to revisit this album because I hadn’t heard it in years. I remember thinking it was a masterpiece at the time. I can still see why I thought that and I can hear the artistry in every track. I can hear the obvious influence that this album has had in the years since. It’s impossible to ignore the trajectory that Kanye West has taken since then though and it puts a different complexion on some things: lines that I used to think were funny or sarcastic have curdled into something much harder to go along with. An artist is someone who tries to express their internal reality in a way that others can connect with. I think the album does that successfully. But Kanye’s internal reality is that of a total piece of shit so you don’t really want to hang out there for long.

I just don’t think Kanye is a good rapper, nor does he have anything overly interesting to say on this. Put that together with the deliberately abrasive as fuck ear-rape production, and it’s not a good time. ‘New Slaves’, ‘Blood On The Leaves’ and ‘Bound 2’ are about the only tracks that are kind of ok, or at least listenable, but it’s a low bar.

I hadn't heard his music before, at least not that I remember. I gave this a listen and gave it an honest try. It just doesn't do it for me. It sounds like he's trying to be controversial and provocative in many tracks, and I get it, but it feels too ham-handed for me.

Oh my gosh what a pile of twaddle. There is no doubt that this man had talents, two major ones being that he can convince people to buy his music and also convince women to be his play things, but the musical talent is so misdirected in this album. I wish I could unhear. Also wish I could unsee the video with Kim K - on a bike, facing the wrong way but the wind is blowing her hair out of her face? That what a step too far in expecting me to suspend my disbelief.

It doesn't really sound like anything else I've ever heard, so I guess there's that? I do quite like some of the weird electronic noises throughout, but everything else that goes with it, rapping, lyrical content etc, is shit. I was going to give an extra star for production, but I realised I hated the content so much that I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Kanye West is a piece of shit, and a gay fish.

Every morning for the last six weeks I’ve woken up with pain in my neck, hips, back, shoulders and chest. Muscular, y’know? I’ve recently bought a standing desk for work so it might be that, but to try and get rid of it I’ve started yoga and today bought a new memory foam mattress. Fuck this, I'm overlooking the 2-3 songs that sound good and giving this the lowest possible score because the man is a grotesque cunt who doesn't deserve attention. We've had a lot of much older albums in the genre where we excuse some of the content for being in less enlightened times. No way does he get the pass here, especially for the fact it's in every fucking song. Also probably the tipping point for him becoming a galactic self-obsessed arsehole.

I’ve never really understood why Kanye is so revered. I quite liked that poopy scoopy song he did, but otherwise there hasn’t really been anything that has interested me. I really don’t understand what I’m missing, but listening to this will at least broaden my horizons. Songs I already knew: Bound Favourites: Hold My Liquor I continue to really got see the fuss for Ye. Bound made my laugh because it’s so ridiculous (and also reminded me of the Seth Rogen and James Franco version). Hold My Liquor felt like a genuinely good song, but it was unfortunately the sole instance of anything enjoyable to me. I suppose I’ll continue on in life feeling like Kanye isn’t for me, which I’m fine with as he seems to be a not-very-nice person.

Some of the beats weren’t bad but the lyrics were horrible. So misogynistic and vulgar and honestly basic with repeated rhymes. Not very creative or much talent in my opinion

I really wanted to hate this album. Kanye is a horrible person, but I try to listen to the music objectively without clouding my judgement with THE person and their issues. With that being said, Yeezus is a piece of shit, the kind of crap artist's release because they can and gullible people will still buy and praise. This has all the reasons why I can't stand narcissist, Nazi-praising, ego driven lunatics like West. His constant talk of pussy, titties and what's he's going to do with woman and his moronic god complex is summed up in his song, "I Am A God", of course. Originally the album already was bad but I would have given it 2.5 stars for the content. However that specific content (Black Skinhead & New Slaves) didn't age. Kanye became the type of person he's criticising on this album. With that the only good part of this album went out the window

With it's elegant and romantic lyrics, perhaps best exemplified by the line "I wanna f**k you hard on a sink.. Step back can't get spunk on a mink" it's no wonder that the world has seen fit to pay Yeezy billions of dollars for the gift that he is to planet earth. Combine that level of romance with the his striving for racial equity and treatment of women in both his lyrics and his personal life and then tack on his clear mental acuity and evolved spirituality and we have the recipe for an international superstar sensation. Wow. This is literally the first time I've listened to a Kanye album. I had no idea it could be like this. Ok back to John Prine now.
