Super Dope
35 minutes, 14 songs. Every one of them a demonstration of how simple songwriting and recording can be if you happen to be these men at that time. "Nowhere Man" and "The Word" are my personal faves, but I knew the lyrics and the melodies like I wrote them myself.
i love this álbum!!!
A truly masterful album, Beatles in top form. The record is consistent and packed with great songs back to back and barely any weak spots. The songwriting is outstanding, I loved how innovative they were here, mixing genres and ideas while making some of the catchiest rock songs ever. The performances are excellent too: guitars, bass, drumming, it's all there. The vocals are superb too, I loved the backing vocals. It's very hard to pick favourite songs, but if I had to pick one, I'd say "In My Life", in my opinion it's one of the best songs of all time. Other great songs are "Drive My Car", "Norwegian Wood", "I'm Looking Through You", "Michelle", etc. In terms of weaker tracks, maybe "The Word" isn't as good. It's important to mention just how poorly "Run For Your Life"'s lyrics have aged. I wouldn't say that back then they were particularly noteworthy, but nowadays it's pretty crazy to hear a song so overtly toxic and misogynistic. It's a shame because the song in itself is pretty catchy, but message wise this is a fail. Overall, this record is a masterpiece and showcases the great songwriting the Beatles were capable of. I knew this record almost by heart before I had to listen to it here, so I was definitely biased, but giving it 4 or 5 more listens to rate it here reminded me how good it is and confirmed its legendary status.
Fantastic Album
This is still peak Beatles. The perfect balance of early simplicity and the psychedelic experimentation to come.
What a wonderful album. It may not be my absolute favorite Beatles album (literally how do you top Abbey Road), but sometimes I think it's my secret favorite. There's nothing else in their discography like "Norwegian Wood" and "Nowhere Man." There's just such a freshness, a fun, playful approach, but tempered by serious and psychedelic and expansive concerns. "In My Life," "Michelle," "Drive My Car," "I'm Looking Through You," "If I Needed Someone," (I'll stop here before I list every song), they're all masterpieces. And this album's place in their oeuvre is fascinating too. At the beginning of the drug explorations, but not before they made things worse. Still writing as a unit but finding their individual voices. Staggering variety of different moods, tones, vibes, but in a way where the songs all complement one another; in that sense being one of the first "true albums." It's been almost three weeks since I had a good five-star album, so this was such a nice and refreshing listen. Must-listen #159.
Not the greatest album of all time by the Beatles, but still an amazing album. It just goes to show how good they are, that a great album like this isn't their no. 1
Rubber soul - one of the the Beatles most perfect albums, bridging the gap between their "boy band" early years and the more introspective psychedelic later years. Every track is listenable and memorable, with many songs becoming staples. My favorite - Nowhere Man.
9/10 Ooh, finally a Beatles album. I'm interested how i feel about these. This is a classic example of my issue. Loads of it is so, so good Drive My Car, Norwegian Wood, In My Life - it is a 5 star album. But it also has at least one garbage track: here it is Michelle. And the horrible gasp bit on Girl. And lyrically, I'm sorry, but most of the time I feel they were so far behind not only Dylan and Cohen, but also Ray Davies, Jagger/Richards and the other members of the British Invasion. But then they were leading the Art of the Pop Song, so I can forgive them that. I often think I'm hyper-critical of the Beatles cos they are placed on such a high pedestal - there's some truth in that. They still get 5 stars, so they can't complain too much.
So short yet packed with amazing tracks. In My Life being one of my fav songs ever.
In the history of music, being one of the most important and influential albums of all time doesn't guarantee it is a good work of art. The Beatles, on the other hand, seem to contradict that, as their important albums are a sample of the best contemporary music humanity has produced. While Rubber Soul is not the best of The Beatles, since Abbey Road exists, it's here that we get a clearer glimpse of their genius in music making. There's still a lot of their early phase here, especially as seen in the opening track, and maybe that's what makes this album so interesting and special - it's not the full experimental Beatles, but it's starting to get boulder. As I analyse all art through a Christian perspective, of course Rubber Soul it's not going to score great in this parameter. Being a great album technically is not enough if it doesn't bring a good world-view with it. --- 8,5/10
Its the Beatles, its brilliant, Its probably the beginning of their zenith. There is nothing I can add that hasn't already been said.
Rubber Soul by The Beatles stands as one of the greatest albums of all time, and arguably their finest work. It’s a masterful blend of styles, moods, and lyrical depth, showing the band’s evolution and willingness to experiment. From the reflective storytelling of Norwegian Wood and the introspective Nowhere Man to the warmth and beauty of Michelle, every track brings something different. At the heart of it all is In My Life, one of my favourite songs of all time. It’s deeply personal and has resonated with me for over 30 years, still holding a special place. Favourite track: In My Life Least favourite tracks: None, every song is perfect Album artwork: An iconic cover that matches the timeless feel of the music perfectly
Whilst not hitting the highs of some other Beatles albums, it also doesn't suffer the ignominy of having an absolute dud like a lot of Beatles albums have. Besides, Norwegian Wood and a few others are stone-cold classics.
имба.
Great album. Starting to hear the change into more sophisticated Beatles.
Probably the best album I've had so far. Even the 'lesser' songs are incredible, and it has about four the best songs ever written (Girl, Norwegian Wood, Michelle, In My Life imo).
It's the Beatles, what else needs to be said?
Obviously one of the best albums ever made. Bravo Beatles. She’s like fine wine
Beach drive for Jane. Awesome stuff. We agreed this probably doesn’t even crack our top 5 Beatles albums… but you know it’s still a 5.
This is a good psychedelic album. There are some stand out tracks but the album is solid all the way through. The band did well on this one.
The Beatles at their best. Norwegian Wood, Michelle, and In My Life are personal favorites.
top 1
This is where it gets really interesting for the teenager, exploring The Beatles. And that was also the case for me. It’s a good mixture between early Beatles and experimenting Beatles
Perfect Beatles album
Torn between this and Abbey Road as the best Beatles album. Not a wasted moment, every song a banger! and possibly Ringo’s best lead song.
Rubber Soul is perfection. Beginning to end Fab Four.
IMO, one the best Beatles albums. I preferred their earlier bubblegum rock more than their psychedelic era; but still love them in any form.
Completely biased review. The Beatles are my favourite band and this is an absolute no skip 5/5 album for me. Won't elaborate more.
Great Beatles album. This is the point where they matured and started experimenting with different sounds and more adult themes
This is the Beatles, of course it's amazing. Not the greatest of their discography in my opinion, Beatles albums are like pizza, there really is no such thing as a bad one. 9.1/10, would and will listen again.
Una joya! De principio a fin!
Yeah it’s the beatles I have to (though I did rate With The Beatles a 3 so)
Lovely is what comes to mind, nice an relaxed, obviously their typical sound, could listen to this every day.
This is outstanding
This is my favorite Beatles album. It was a masterful combination of the psychedelic vibe (sitar included) of the later albums with the fun/50s vibe of the earlier albums. Without question In My Life is my favorite track: I did have it my wedding after all. The older I have gotten the more that track holds relevance, which I always wonder if John and Paul realized the philosophical importance in their mid-20s. I think at some point in our lives we have all felt like Nowhere Man, and If I Needed Someone is a perfect musical and vocal harmony. Drive My Car is friggen great. The only questionable song is Run For Your Life, which feels somewhere between stalker and serial killer, but it is a bop, just an uncomfortable one.
Random thoughts: - I think I listened to this like 5 times through on my trip through the black hills. I only got tired of Drive My Car and mainly because it played a few other times on my road trip playlist. - Rubber Soul is transitionary Beatles from boy band to 60s rock pioneers and legends. - you can hear them branching out in different directions: Nowhere Man, In My Life, Norwegian Wood, I’m Looking Through You. - Run For Your Life is a great tune but I have qualms with the lyrics. It’s basically a clean version of Eminem. Yikes. - In My Life is an amazing tune. I demand that it be played at my funeral. There will not be a dry eye in the house. - my favorite deep cuts from this one are The Word and If I Needed Someone. George Harrison is so wildly underrated. - this is a must listen for any music fan.
Bra
This is a master piece, certainly my favourite Beatles album.
I mean, come on.
Can’t go wrong with Rubber Soul.
What a fantastic album!
Очень классный альбом, раньше был очень наслышан насчет жтой группы сейчас мне подкинули этот альбом и он меня впечатлил, во первых, очень круток звучание, во вторых, очень простые текста которые сможет понять даже ребенок, я удивлен.
Maybe because I gravitate to fantastic harmonies and quick hitters with memorable riffs, I assign this a 5er. I really enjoy Abbey Road, but there's something that hits the sweet spot with this collection. I was trying to pick a particular song to highlight, but they are all so strikingly tremendous.
One of my more formative albums
Great listen. Top notch music.
BABY YOU CAN DRIVE MY CAR (BEEP BEEP YEAH)
Little bit of everything with this one. Some rock, country, folk, happy stuff, sad ones, and even a little bit of acid. Some of their best stuff
One could sense immediately that changes were afoot. There were signposts prior to it but it was at least official. The Beatles were no longer boys, they were men. Elongated faces, the subtle and obvious nods to Black American music, complex storytelling, thorny tales of relationships beginning to go astray, the nostalgic remembrances of days past; it's all here. Rubber Soul was the first of a one-two punch that shifted the gears of Beatlemania towards an uncertain, unsettling yet unexpected direction, a direction that seemed poised to leave the screams and fawns behind and dive inward and outward themselves and the world around them. Listen here, they've got something to say and all that's left afterwards is the potential in thinking for yourself.
FIRST WEED ALBUM! Favourite Songs: Drive My Car, Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown), Nowhere Man, Michelle, In My Life. Least Favourite Songs: Run for Your Life.
This album is solid. And while there are other Beatles albums that I love more, this is a serious 4.5. Solid songwriting and tunes that don’t over stay their welcome. This record is easily the start of the bridge between their brilliant bubble gum Brit Pop & Rock and an entirely new expanding universe where all bets were off.
My favorite Beatles album and I think one of the best albums ever made
This is a "you're stuck on a desert island and you can only bring 10 albums" album.
From Boy Band to Men.
What can I say about this album? It changed my life along with most of the post-'64 Beatles catalog. This is the silly, vapid rock and roll of the 50s and early 60s coming of age in a real, complete way. Pop music would never be the same. Also the songs STILL SLAP. Can you believe that?
It's a goodun
I remember sining many of these songs when I was a young child. And I am still singing them. The album is almost perfect. 5/5
On my top five list.
I love Beatles days because the baseline is a 4/5 and mostly 5/5 days. Just always top notch.
Yep. An album everyone should hear before they die.
In my mind this was the Beatles at their peak, and I genuinely believe this to be the greatest album they ever recorded, which is high praise. I also realize that there is absolutely nothing I could say about anything the Beatles have done that hasn’t been said before, so with that in mind I’ll keep this review relatively brief. I love this album a lot, I listen to it fairly regularly, and I will continue to do so. Fuck John Lennon. 5*.
“Their fans stayed with them, and the nuttier intelligentsia, but they lost the typists in the Cavern.”
1. Drive My Car - 10/10 2. Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown) - 10/10 3. You Won't See Me - 9.5/10 4. Nowhere Man - 10/10 5. Think For Yourself - 8/10 6. The Word - 8.5/10 7. Michelle - 10/10 8. What Goes On - 8/10 9. Girl - 9.4/10 10. I'm Looking Through You - 9/10 11. In My Life - 9.5/10 12. Wait - 9/10 13. If I Needed Someone - 8/10 14. Run For Your Life - 8/10 9/10
John really has the edge on this album, with some amazing songwriting, though the Paul entries are also not too shabby, and If I Needed Someone is underappreciated.
Great
Amazing album, I’ve listened to it multiple times, five out of five.
My favourite Beatles album
Amazing album!
always a masterpiece when it comes to the beatles
eays automatic 5 stars for me
If you go for a long stretch without listening to The Beatles, it's easy to forget just how brilliant they were. I mean, you don't really forget, but it's more a conceptual idea of their brilliance. Then when you listen to a whole album like Rubber Soul, the concrete reality of it slaps you in the face. There's such a wide variety of music on this album. There's an overarching humor to a lot of the album. You can tell they're having fun while writing some of the best pop and rock-n-roll ever to be pressed to vinyl. Even if this whole album wasn't a joy to listen to (it is), the bass playing is worthy of 5 stars all by itself. Overall: 5 stars.
In the top 3 albums of The Beetles! :)
oh you want me to listen to rubber soul today? twist my arm why dontcha! 5/5 obviously.
Great recording. This is classic Beatles music.
Where the Beatles started to really shine as artists. An unbelievably solid album.
What can I say? Boys from my home town make good! Brilliant, love it!
The turning point in The Beatles discography, and I believe the introduction of the sitar and fuzzy bass. From the second track to the end you get a feel for the new direction the Beatles would head down until their end, and away from the poppy songs of the past, though some of that still remains. In My Life is an all time masterpiece of a song, 5/5 though more on the 4.5/5 lines.
You don’t need me to add more thoughts on a Beatles record. It just PHENOMENALLY good.
Not their first masterpiece album (I'd give that to A Hard Day's Night), but a huge leap forward from Help! in terms of songwriting depth, variety and maturity. My favourite Beatles album, maybe not their best, but it perfectly captures the magic and energy of their early days and the more heady later work, all while having an acoustic motown-y vibe all of its own. And the harmonies were at their best here, too. There's a warmth to this album. The only criticism I have is the closing track. If it had ended on We Can Work it Out or In My Life, it would've been perfect.
One of their best, hands down.
This album feels like the apex of their beat era
Oh, nothing much to see here. Only one of the best albums by inarguably the best pop/rock band of all time.
Excellent songs, complete classics. I hadn’t listened to this album in full in a while.
Ahh another great album from one of my favorite bands! This is such a difference from the white album ( the first album I listened to on this list) but it is still full of stuff to love and makes it such a good Beatles album!
One of my favourite Beatles albums. Had it as a kid.
Perhaps the first real rock album with sonic themes and mature lyrics. A major stepping stone for the band and the rock movement as a whole.
Gema
Great. Just what I needed. MORE of the Beatles. (There’s no such thing as too much of the Beatles.)
One of my favorites
This is one of THE best albums by this band. I love this album.
This is tough. This is my 5th favorite Beatles album so I am tempted to give this a 4, but it has soooo many influential songs and hits for the Beatles. I wish this site had a .5 system! This album was really the start of their sophisticated song writing and when they really rose to the next level! They had major hits before this, but this album just feels way more mature. Additionally, this is the first Beatles album they wrote AS AN ALBUM rather than just a collection of singles thrown together which is why this album starts to feel more cohesive. Additionally, they recorded this album in only 113 hours of studio time which is incredibly fast. Considering Revolver took over 300 hours and Sgt. Pepper's took over 700 hours. This album needed to be done "in time for the Christmas market." "Drive My Car" is such a banger, "Nowhere Man" is FANTASTIC, "Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)" and "In My Life" are such beautiful pieces of music, "Michele" and "Girl" are such great songs that have an eerie feel to them, and "What Goes On" and "I'm Looking Through You" are soooo much fun. Liked Songs: Every song...although "The Word" is the weakest.
How is it that every Beatles album has at least 6 memorable singles with radio play, and none of them miss? Thy only make fantastic albums, and this 60 year old album is no exception.
The Beatles make the best albums, and this is one of their best.
ANOTHER BEATLES ONE YESSSSSS Love the weird harmonies in Drive My Car. Always found Norwegian Wood to be boring. Love You Won't See Me - always thought the singing was sexy on it Gorgeous harmonies and lyrics in Nowhere Man. Think For Yourself - cool discordant harmonies and must always shout out "I won't be THURRRRR with you" - great guitar also. Never heard the fluctuation in note on the final 'you' before the song ends so that was a nice find. More discordance on The Word! Love that that's a theme throughout this album. Always found Michelle pretty boring too. Like the chord progression of the spooky bit aka "I will say the only words I know that you'll understand" What Goes On - like yes it's goofy but again, great harmonies. Never noticed before that there's a country sound to this one. Girl - fairly nice - again, love the spooky bits' chord progression and the instrumental bit. Looking Through You - I mean excellent lyrics. What a song. In My Life - so insanely good and so mature and reflective for a 25 year old. Wait - more fun discordance! If I Needed Someone - YET MORE fun discordance!! Run For Your Life - I mean horrifying lyrics but what a SONG (also hey discordance)
One of my favorites from all time.
Overall: 10/10 Not my absolute favourite album of all time, but certainly my favourite album from my favourite band. It's not the artiest Beatles album, nor their most fun, nor their most commercially successful (though it obviously was incredibly popular), but I think it's the most cohesive and the tracklist feels deliberate to make the pacing smooth. Listening to Help! right before this shows just how much of a leap they made in their sound. In My Life, Norweigan Wood and Michelle are three of the most beautiful songs ever written. George's compositions are cool and show emotional maturity and What Goes On is a nice little country track to show off Ringo's vocals. I could listen to this album every single day and never get bored of it. Fav Song: In My Life Least Fav Song: What Goes On (Sorry, Ringo)
It's The Beatles. come on.
"I once had a girl, or should I say - she once had me..." Classic Beatles! There's no studio experimentation here like in Revolver, no 30 songs, half of which are fillers like in the White Album... Everything is exactly their style, the way I know them. And the way I love them. Plus here's one of my favorites, Norwegian Wood, and so on... This morning as I walked along the wet asphalt and as the notes and lyrics flowed, I couldn't help but feel like Toru Watanabe on the streets of Tokyo. And I felt the desire to read Murakami again, for the third time! Fantastic album! 5/5
Amazing and revolutionary.
The transition album from the Beatles being the proto pop boy band into their more experimental and assured era. Still with beautiful hooks and melodies but growing complexities.
I mean, ok
A classic. Lots of memories of my dad playing this at home. It's been years since I last listened to it and I still remember most of the words. The stereo separation/mixing took a little getting used to. It's wild thinking about how stereo was a novelty at one point.
Probably my favorite Beatles album. It is perfect. Great tunes, great length for an LP, the first foray of the Beatles into the rock album era and out of their pop era. Production is almost perfect
Nice guys 😊
Once again I am really stuck for what else can be said for an album like this. I suppose I could say it's definitely the folk-adjacent thing I have enjoyed the most by quite a margin, though I think the rock half of the folk rock is what was really doing that for me. I'd also say it was the easiest listen we have had in a while. with its quality and pretty short run time I ended up listening to this about 3 times in a row initially
Unlike most 'born in the wrong generation' wankers, I am not a well-versed Beatles historian so I quite enjoyed reading about the significance of Rubber Soul as a watershed moment between Beatlemania-Beatles and the more sophisticated pop/rock band that they would later become. This is also the first album where the band had full creative control which, for better or worse, is why the sitar is on this album. Cultural and musical significance aside, even if you have no/very little idea about the history of the Beatles and where this sits in their discography, the influence from bands like the Byrds is obvious here and the level of experimentation with different instruments and styles is evident. Some songs are a bit kitschy but I find them endearing and it is impossible to listen to this without thinking that this is a truly foundational album that has influenced every artist that comes after it. In terms of who is the better songwriter? I'm gonna go with the wifebeater. I was gonna give this a 4 to be a hater but considering the majority of this album is in my highlights that would really be taking the piss. Also it has Nowhere Man and In My Life, of course it's a 5. Also the global reviews page for this album on here is a hoot. Highlights: Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown), You Won't See Me, Nowhere Man, The Word, Michelle, Girl, I'm Looking Through You, In My Life, If I Needed Someone, Run For Your Life
So good. From start to finish.
So many great songs on this and a distinctive sound on most of the songs on this album - different from prior albums.
You can drive your car for a long time and won't find too many albums better than this in [your] life
this is just a wonderful album - i'm playing catch-up, but i enjoyed it greatly
A definite contender for my favourite Beatles album. Halfway between their poppy early work and their more experimental later work (which I've always found a bit patchy), but what's remarkable about "Rubber Soul" is the way it's so coherent and never strays too far from its central core, never loses its focus, like the words printed in a stick of rock.
An all time classic and favorite. Just the other day I asked my mom if she liked this one better than Revolver. Back in the olden days I'm sure revolver and Rubber Soul were sides 1 and 2 on a Maxell XL-II 90 in the car. So yeah I've heard this one allot since I was born in guess
Favoriete Beatles-album, al vanaf de middelbare school. Punt.
Hell yeah, all it took for these bois to reach their fullest potential was to stop touring and quit being a boy band. Oh, and drugs. Lots and lots of drugs. Thanks Bobby Dylan.
Funny that we got this the day after the Kinks' Face to Face... Came out a year earlier and is lightyears better. But that's what happens when you have 2 songwriting geniuses in the band (with an emerging songwriting talent in George as well). Rubber Soul is as far back as I go in the Beatles catalogue if I'm playing a full album, and it's because of the creative leap they took here. Love Rubber Soul.
Not much to say. Everyone song great and no "filler"
My favorite Beatles album. I love that it still has remnants of early Beatles, but you can tell they're going through a transition on this album and I'm here for it.
I’ve always considered this to be the first of the great Beatles albums — when they shed the last of the rock ‘n roll boy-band stuff and sound distinctively modern — though they still have another level to reach with Revolver.
Pretty pretty pretty good
This is my favorite Beatles album, it lived in my car’s cd player for months in high school. To me the Beatles are simply the GOAT when it comes to recording in the studio and this one means the most to me.
Excellent listen. Rad album Nice harmonies and mélodies And can’t beat a little In My Life!
actually really good omg
The Beatles ruled the 1960's. This album is awesome.
Arguably the most important Beatles album IMO. More mature, more experimental, a lot of variation in style between songs. Just great songwriting. A personal favorite of mine.
Not sure I've ever listened to it straight through. Good stuff.
Czy jest to najlepsza płyta Beatlesów? Nie. Ale jest to płyta z Norwegian Wood. Z Michelle. Z Girl. Nie jestem w stanie dać jej mniej niż 9/10, kocham ten zespół. Melodię, teksty, członków. Wszystko.
This was the album that cemented my love for the Beatles, so I’m biased. And sure, sometimes the production choices feel a little cheesy, but overall the song structures are unparalleled pop perfection. I love it.
It's a solid album isn't it? The occasional questionable lyric, but it was the 60s... Beatles doing Beatles things.
Classic album, great songs. One of the all time favorites
5 - mastapiece, well except for the word
I could listen to this a million times. This is my favourite Beatles album and has many of my favourite songs such as In My Life, If I Needed Someone, Michelle, Girl. Honestly I could name 90% of the album in that list. The album does have a couple of flaws, namely the track that ends the album. You could say it hasn’t aged well but it wasn’t good when it came out. This is still the easiest 5 stars for me.
Love it
9/10. Great album. Has some great stuff throughout including a couple of the best Beatles songs of all time.
Another staple of modern rock. While not as expansive as the White Album, Rubber Soul is still a strong piece of evidence about how influential (and sleazy) the Beatles could be.
Listened to this multiple times Probably one of my favorites by the beatles The instrumentals are amazing and i couldnt stop tapping my fingers Always love the Beatles
One of their best.
pleasant music - great musician
I just love the Beatles. This is another where I know every single track, and they're all great. Norwegian Wood is one of my favorite songs to play on guitar, it's just fun. You can see a lot of their future musical work presaged in this album.
I got this when it came out and have loved it ever since. Of course Michelle and Norgian Wood are classics, but there are so many other great tunes that still hold up.
This is sort of the definition of a perfect album. Incredibly talented musicians writing catchy songs with perfect production. I mean, I dont love the beatles but you gotta recognize. 5/5
Just two words: Still Superb! 60 years old but absolutely as fresh as day one.
If I know all the words, it's a 5. Also, the 2nd best Beatles album (behind Revolver). 5/5
Always down for the Beatles, this one I had on record back when I owned like 3 so is etched deeply into my brain - nice to come back to, like visiting home
I rate weagen woods a 3 star because i don´t really like it and its not for my and i don´t like country music. I rate in my life a 4 star because the beat is for me and the setting is really good. I rate run for life a 5 star because of the setting and the beat is really good and the instrumints are good
Why do they all have the same hairstyle? I liked "Norwegian wood" because it was nice. The music was interesting and unique. I also liked "My life" because it was great. The music was pretty and the lyrics were also great. "Run for your life" was good too, but I prefer the first two because I didn't like these lyrics. I would definitely recommend this album.
If you like the Beatles maybe you would like this album. I like this music, but i personally wouldn't listen to this album. I like the song "in my life" because it they are using a lot of instruments and they sound good together. I like that the music is very smooth. I would recommenced this album to someone likes groovy music and a lot of instruments.
The best
So good of course
I mean…
Undeniable classic and incredibly influential
Varied, warm, moving, funny and profound.
Drive My Car Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown) You Won't See Me Nowhere Man The Word Michelle Girl I'm Looking Through You In My Life If I Needed Someone Run for Your Life
Finally - The Beatles! And some GOOOD music! Loved it when it came out - love it now.
Clásico
So many good tracks on this one.
Love this album. So many great songs.
★★★★★★★
Wowee zowee
Outstanding!
Amazing. Great from start to finish. Can’t pick favourite songs because they’re all great. 5 stars
Norwegian wood is early standout Ringo is killing it Great pop tunes
Great album I know well.
Underbart fantastiskt!
Great Album.
Literally one radio friendly hit followed by 13 more mi d blowing bangers. Might as well be their debut, no disrespect intended but they began the greatest run in rock history with this landmark record
Perfect
This is a turning point for The Beatles, moving towards a bit more maturity. The bubblegum pop is still here, but less so and the songs are stronger as a whole. It also marks the start of a bit of experimentation. 'Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)' with its lovely sitar riff and catchy vocal lines is a top 5 Beatles track for me. Now we come to 'In My Life'. My favourite Beatles song. I'm not exaggerating when I say this but not only do I think it's the greatest love song of all time, it's one of the greatest songs of all time. I could write a whole review on just this song and the album an extra star for this track alone. A delicate little 'riff', great sped up piano solo, lovely vocals, subtle yet brilliant drums, beautiful lyrics. Two minutes and twenty six seconds of perfection. Of the songs I had never heard before 'Michelle' and 'Girl' were easily the best. The former is a cheesey love song, but let's be honest, it's what this band does best and McCartney sounds very genuine and heartfelt, and the latter has a bit more of a sombre mood but Lennon sounds equally great. 'Run For Your Life' has very serious lyrics for a jangly pop song. The most famous track, the opener 'Drive My Car' is great and 'I'm Looking Through You' is so catchy and that's basically the story of this album. Every song has a catchy little hook, melody or vocal line. Lennon and McCartney harmonise so well together. I have to say that side one isn't as good. The quality dips a little after the first two fantastic tracks before the quality comes right back up with 'Michelle', but side two is as good as any I've heard. I'll have to wait and see if this turns out to be my favourite Fab Four album, but at the minute it's definitely in the lead and will take some beating.
I’ve definitely said this before, but as a teen in the noughties, I couldn’t wrap my head around why all the old folks loved the Beatles. Yet listening with today’s ears, I think I’ve loved every album so far. Today’s album is no exception. You can hear the hippy influences here, but it’s not quite as wacky as some of the more psychedelic stuff. It sits perfectly between the hippy stuff and the poppier stuff. Yeah, I like this album a lot.
Album pełen wyrafinowanych melodii, introspektywnych tekstów i subtelnych eksperymentów, które zwiastowały nową erę rocka. Od folkowego ciepła "Norwegian Wood", przez soulową energię "Drive My Car", aż po poruszające "In My Life", każdy utwór pokazuje nową stronę zespołu. Brzmienie jest bogate, organiczne, a wpływy Dylana i Motown doskonale współgrają z ich naturalnym talentem do chwytliwych harmonii. Mocne 5
105 albums in and I finally hit my first Beatles album. This feels like the perfect starting point; the transition away from the days of Beatlemania and into the development of what would make them perhaps the greatest act in musical history (in my incredibly biased opinion). If I can start with the negative, I don’t see Rubber Soul as their best effort. Most of it still has some of the band’s early sound on it, so there was still some things to iron out. Songs like You Won’t See Me and What Goes On are just kind of on the album to pad it out. Truth be told, this album would probably be a solid 4 if it weren’t for some of the better songs on the album. Norwegian Wood is a fun little song with a nice little hook in the main melody. Drive My Car is the perfect segway between the band’s past and future. Nowhere Man is practically ingrained into my brain thanks to its part in the Yellow Submarine movie (I must have watched it a thousand times as a kid. My parents had to keep renewing it from the library they got it from. Yes, I’m that old, I guess.) And then there is In My Life, which is probably one of the most beautifully songs I have ever listened to. It’s become one of the songs to have a deep emotional impact on me, as I used it in a video montage I made for one of my uncle’s funeral’s. It’s not an easy listen for me, but it’s a wonderful song when I do. There are other albums by the Beatles that probably deserve a 5 more than Rubber Soul, but the songs that I like elevate it to that level. I feel it can only go up from here, as I tend to love the band’s later output more than their earlier works. But none of that would be possible without Rubber Soul, so that alone to me justifies my score. Favorite track: In My Life Other hits: Nowhere Man, Drive My Car, Norwegian Wood, Think For Yourself, I’m Looking Through You
Not the best Beatles album, but it's still the Beatles!
Fantastic, one of my favorite Beatles albums
An obvious one, and not just because it’s the Beatles.
Come on it’s the Beatles. And it’s just as they were getting to be like the amazing musician type Beatles not just the pop teenybopper Beatles.
I've listened to this album several times before but it's enlightening hearing it again after getting a bunch of other 60's albums on this list. The Beatles influence is apparent on so many of these other records, but none of them come close to the mastery the Beatles show here. Rubber Soul is so much richer and the depth of quality is far greater than any "Beatles-esque" imitator. Favorites: At first I wrote down half the album but I'll limit myself to just a couple: In My Life, Norwegian Wood Least Favorites: You Won't See Me
Incredible how many great songs/albums the Beatles created. In this one I marked 8 tracks.
I mean…
Magical. This album isn’t even in my top three Beatles albums. Although some of the lyrics are kind of dumb. Sorry, lads. Basically the world’s greatest ballerinas that occasionally tell a knock knock joke written by a child. Wait, that would be great.
Perfect.
Great album even if run for your life aged horribly
One of my favorite Beatle albums. The creativity is just pouring out of their orifices.
Loved this album on my Walkman, but I haven’t listened to it since those childhood days. I really like it! Did anyone else notice the crystal clarity of the tambourine in the Spotify audio?
A near perfect album. One of my top Beatles albums for sure. The pinnacle of their early sound before they got more experimental on Revolver.
One of the best ever and feels like it is one of the best examples of a band changing its style. I am admittedly a huge Beatles fan who grew up on these songs. I can't give an objective review on these, they just can't do any wrong to me. Norwegian Wood, Nowhere Man, Michelle, I'm looking through you, In my Life are all songs I simply don't want to live without. This album fits perfectly in the context of their musical journey, beautiful cover art, and has its own unique feel to the rest of the albums. The strength of the ones I love make me want to paper over the 1 or 2 songs I'm a little indifferent on but those take it slightly down from a perfect score. I've only given I think 5 perfect scores 500 something albums in so I don't want to give it out cheaply. Rating: 4.9
This record is fantastic and the start of even better things to come.
Was pleasantly surprised by this one. I haven’t spent a lot of time listening to the Beatles so had a very narrow expectation of this. This album is very well-rounded - would listen again.
One of those special pop albums where every song has its own personality and character. This was probably the first Beatles album I fell in love with. It’s the first one where I can remember loving the deep cuts (like “The Word”) just as much as the big songs. Nothing but great songs here but “In My Life” gets an extra shoutout because it was the song I danced to with my mom at my wedding.
Beautiful record by the best band ever. Lots of great legendary tracks on this one- "Norwegian Wood" is one of the best acoustic guitar riffs of all time. I love when the sitar comes in and dispels your expectations. Then the vocal melody? Come on. It's incredible. "Michelle" has always been absolutely stunning to me. The play between the melody and harmony shows the depth of the Beatles writing. "In My Life" is one of those songs that's so simply beautiful and grounding that it makes you stop and appreciate things and become a little more human when you hear it. Being in a relationship and listening to this song is truly great. The harpsichord part is so perfectly executed. I feel like sometimes I get an idea in my head for a song or some part of a song that I want to write, and it can be a weird out-of-left-field sort of part, and when I go to put it down in a song it ends up being incredibly hard to execute or to get it to sound exactly right. This harpsichord is one of the best executed "out there" parts of any song ever. They set out to do the thing, and they did the thing. I'm just completely enamored with this song. I want to renew my vows with my wife so that we can have this as our second wedding song. It's so amazing. Just a truly great album. The Beatles are undefeated.
Just brilliant!
well, duh
No words needed
Before starting this project, I told myself I will not overrate Beatles just 'cause I love them so much, but... It's so freaking hard not to when their albums are so damn good! I forgot about Rubber Soul, but it really shaped not only them as artists, but also the music industry as a whole. Plus, there's not a single skip on this album (although the questionable lyrics on the last track have not aged well). Favourite track: Norwegian wood Other highlights: Michelle, In my life, The Word 4.5 stars - rounding up to 5 'cause it's the Beatles
Hook it to my veins.
Has a few duds but one of the best Beatles albums still. Nice collection of strong hits and deep cuts.
Second fav Beatles Album....
They’re all 5s?
Duh

Not my favorite Beatles album but it does have some of my favorite Beatles songs.
Exquisite
One of my favorite Beatles albums. Is always a great listen.
This album is one of the most pivotal in the history of music. It paved the way not only for revolver, but showed big bands that they could experiment with music that is not conventional for the masses. It is the Beatles "Cannabis" album and the vibe is so money. In My Life and Norwegian Wood are 10/10 tracks and the supporting cast from the rest of the list is great too. The first Bealtes album in the Chronology that is a 'must listen,' and easily falls in my top 3 beatles albums ever. A couple tracks make this not a 10/10, but it is a very very high 9
# Album Name: Rubber Soul # Artist: The Beatles # Rating: 5/5 # Comments: I've heard a lot of the tracks off this album but ive never listened to it all the way through. Honestly, what a banger. 37 mins of quality tunes. Fantastic album imo. # Top Tunes: Drive my Car / Norwegian wood / You cant see me / Nowhere man / Think for yourself / The word / Michelle / Im looking through you / in my life / if i needed someone Mayswell just list the whole lot tbh. # Would I listen to it again? Fuck yeah!
Was good! I love the Beetles but I rarely listen to a full album and this was a fun opportunity to do so
One of my all time favorite albums. Completely full of great songs.
Fantastic album from start to finish. Nowhere Man, Think For Yourself Michelle, Girl and In My Life are real stand outs for me. But I could say that about almost every song on the album, really.
This is up there with my favorite Beatles albums. Just fantastic.
Their bad tracks are other bands' wet dream.
Sublime
While being familiar with some of the songs, today is the first time I listened to Rubber Soul and it is a delight. A truly excellent album. https://open.substack.com/pub/richcain/p/project-1001-rubber-soul-by-the-beatles?r=4ztyq&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web
one of the best album openers evahhhh. they were so good at that (”taxman” off *revolver* is another good example). i really think “drive my car” is one of the greatest pop songs of all time. it’s so well-constructed: terrific, instantly recognizable opening riff, a coherent story and a genuinely funny punchline, the imminently singalongable “beep beep yeah!” bit. paul at the absolute top of his game. this album will always remind me of driving to the cape in the summer with sophia next to me in the backseat and us and my mom all singing along as loud as we could. i have such a fondness for this record but especially for that memory that it conjures in my mind every time i hear a song off of it… fav tracks: all of them frankly except for “what goes on”…but i can still get into that one depending on my mood….i do like “run for your life” and think it’s really fun in spite of the lyrics 🫢 SIDE NOTE: obviously i love this album to death and i love listening to it but it is also kind of mind-blowing to me that the velvet underground were starting to perform “heroin” the same year that the beatles cut this record. like, “heroin” makes all the songs on this album seem like kiddie nursery rhyme bullshit. I KNOW IT’S DIFFERENT THINGS. but it’s kind of hilarious to compare that song to all the coy allusions to sex and drugs and ‘naughtiness’ that the beatles managed to sneak past the censors (see: “girl”).
Clasd
A very nicely done album, my favorite songs there are Nowhere Man, In My Life and Norwegian Wood. No, wait. I can’t forget how wonderfully written and played Michelle is. Great album.
Although The Beatles and George Martin pretty early on were always pushing the boundaries of studio recording, this is their first really "experimental" album. Experimenting with new techniques and new genres. Very "Folk-Rock" with "Psychedelic" elements. George is really coming along in his songwriting here. All the songs are great. Very ahead of it's time (although all beatles albums are). The first album on this list that I was already familiar with. Going from memory alone I was going to give it a 4. But after another listen it gets a 5. I always forget how great this album is for some reason. I enjoyed every song on it.
Seminal work. One of my favourite Beatles albums.
one of the best
Classic
Once again, true perfection from the boys. Only my fourth favorite album of theirs, and still likely a top 25-30 all-time album for me. 5+/5
Excelente album, lo escuchare varias veces
10/10 Need I say more, its The Beatles. Just so unbelievably good Favourite Song=In My Life Least Favourite Song=None
It's the 6th best Beatles album and it's still better than most music.
Für mich ein Wendepunkt der Beatles, hin zu einer "ernsthaften" Band, die eigene Songs zu einem Album verbindet. Fantastisch.
Excellent album
Simply one of the greatest albums of all time
My favourite album of the fab four, and the greatest pop masterpiece ever made
Some rock-solid songwriting from the Beatles, showcasing the finest harmonising in their discography and a bright, colourful genre-blend of rock, pop, and folk. Every track is great in its own right, but I'll shout out a few specific ones. Rubber Soul sees possibly the band's best integration of Indian instruments into their own style of music in the form of Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown), a powerhouse track that has since become one of the most covered songs in modern history. Norwegian Wood is truly one of their masterpieces and easily a top-10 (or even top-5) Beatles track, despite its instrumental and harmonic simplicity. The riff and melody (the two are pretty much identical) are just fantastic. There's a fun synergy between the acoustic guitar and sitar, as well as tambourines backing it up – along with the gorgeous harmonising vocals. But that's pretty much it. Simple and effective. Michelle is one of the Beatles' most harmonically intriguing songs, and again has been heavily covered since its inception. I'm not quite sure how I feel about the French choruses – they've always felt a bit gimmicky – but then, this was before everyone was messing around with similar ideas, leading to the likes of Billy Joel's dud track C’était toi (You Were the One) on his otherwise stellar 1980 album Glass Houses. Other than the Frenchness, Michelle is a mellow, mysterious, quietly empassioned interlude between some of the rockier tracks. In My Life is another incredible tracks, showcasing not only some of the Beatles' best lyrics, but also possibly some of the best lyrics of all time. And apparently they get better as you get older. Gives me something to look forward to, I guess. The baroque-style keyboard/harpsichord solo is also a wacky standout here, using the same gorgeous chord progression as the rest of the song but otherwise sounding completely different. Was this a stroke of genius by the Fab Four? Probably. People seem to think it was, anyway. I see it as the "good old days" flashing before the narrator's eyes, but maybe that's reading too much into it. Regardless, In My Life is another easy top-10/top-5 Beatles track. Then there's a plethora of great pop-rock tracks here with a sprinkle of country-folk that was developed in 1964/5, likely inspired by Dylan's records. These tracks include Drive My Car, You Won't See Me, Think For Yourself, Nowhere Man, I'm Looking Through You, Wait, and If I Needed Someone. (And just like that, we've talked about almost every track on the album!) Plus there's Girl, an acoustic-guitar-heavy ballad that's hard to describe but radiates a feeling of "wow this song is utter genius". I like the part in the chorus where John inhales weirdly. I can see why some listeners would find the album closer Run For Your Life questionable. To me it comes across as a peppy Elvis imitation, and I don't have a problem with it other than its lyrics (which haven't exactly aged well). Ah, well. Even the big Beebles were fallible. 5/5 Key tracks: Drive My Car, Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown), Nowhere Man, Michelle, Girl, I'm Looking Through You, In My Life, If I Needed Someone
Does someone really need to read what I think about this album? Do I need to write something about this album? Does anyone need to write more about this album?
What's not to love about this album? It's near perfect that's what it is. The last song is a bit rapy, even John Lennon didn't like it. Otherwise a favourite!
Enjoyable, but impossible for me to rate objectively given that I know the songs so well.
Absolute game changing album. Changed the world of music. One of my favorites.
Easy 5! I unfortunately own one of the first US vinyl copies where a few songs were switched out so I went with the Spotify version because those are some essential songs. Fantastic album! Every single song is a classic.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Still good, really enjoyed the second half this time. Run For Your Life is kinda funny tbh.
Widely thought of as the most underrated and understated Beatles album.
Classic
With Rubber Soul The Beatles, to quote Obi-Wan Kenobi, “took their first step into a larger world.” Brilliant stuff, a top 5 Beatles album for me.
This is a great album - the beginning as they branch away from covers and really get into finding the Beatles sound. I think Revolver is there nest tightest creative album, but this is right there.
I listened to both the US version that I have on vinyl and whatever version is on Spotify and my iPod and have to say that I prefer the US track listing with the inclusion of I've Just Seen A Face and It's Only Love. The other version has Nowhere Man, What Goes On and If I Needed Someone and those songs are the weakest on the whole album. Anyways, Girl, In My Life and Wait are three of the best Beatles songs ever and the rest of the album is great if you go by the US track listing, which is what my rating is for. If you are listening to the other track listing then this is only a 4.
This is a great album despite the last song being about as despicable as a song can be. The recent remaster sound wonderful too
Beatles are goated, not even my fave album of theirs but I could listen to this over and over again
Definitely in my top 10 albums of all time.
Love this album, maybe the best pre-funny outfits era Beatles
Great bass! I love the drums, I will always fixate on that in any song tbh.. upbeat, fast, neat, and soft when needed. I love the vibes of the album, some songs are more upbit, some are more relaxed, some are more mindless... yup I like it
The first album by the Beatles with front to back cohesion and no misses. Used to be my favorite Beatles album, but still holds up after all these years
4,5/5 as there are better Beatles albums than this one, Revolver being a good example. This one really shows their musicianship as they're incorporating instruments like sitar and breaking away from a "traditional" rock sound.
Far from their best work, but still with a couple of classics, and still better than most other bands can manage. In my life and Norwegian Wood were highlights, some of John's songs would probably not get cleared by the legal department nowadays, Michelle is naïve to the point af saccharine sweetness.
I always enjoy listening to this album, with the early experiments with different sounds, refusal to be categorised as a single genre, and poetic and evocative lyrics. I hear something new to me each time. I somehow also like the creepy jolly jangliness of the closing song 😳
Top tier album
This album has slowly, over time, become one of my favorite Beatles albums. It’s fun to listen to, and every song just has that it factor. “You Won’t See Me” is one of my favorite songs in their entire catalog. 5/5 Will definitely listen again
Good to listen
One of the best ever.
Another good beetles album, I really liked Drive My Car and In My Life.
Solid album
It’s Rubber Soul!
My favorite Beatles album. The perfect blend of their early pop tunes and their later experimentation. Ringo proves here he's the best drummer in the business. Don't think so? Try "What Goes On?". Unless you drum a LOT of shuffles, you will be dead tired and off time by the 30 second mark. Then remember Ringo SINGS on it as well. This album is just banger after banger after banger. Every song could have been released as a hit single. This is a greatest hits album for 99% of other bands. So incredibly strong all the way through. This is them at their absolute music making peak
This is one of their best. Musically it is so complex but blends so well. Great songs throughout and showcases them at their best. Not a lot I can think of writing, just listen to it.
The most cohesive sounding Beatles album we have listened to yet. Might also be my favorite Beatles album, but Revolver is still to come. Well written lyrics, solid instrumentation. A slight stumble when Ringo sings on What Goes On. I'm not sure what to say it's a 5.
Considering the wealth of dreck and mediocrity served up here, giving Rubber Soul five stars was a no-brainer and justifiably so. It belongs on this list and it's among the Beatles best.
Based as always
I was impressed! And for the Beatles, that says something! Beyond the ones I knew, they are ALL great songs! Why do I like the last song despite it being so terrifying lmao I am still yet to figure out why that keyboard break exists in In My Life, though... not even in a bad way, just baffled - any insights welcome :)
5/5 amazing instrumentation, storytelling, lyrics, and overall performances. Extremely influential and introduced a lot of things into rock music that wasn't very well known or just didn't exist in the genre to the mainstream and led the way for Revolver. Run For Your Life isn't amazing though.
This is probably one of my favourite Beatles albums - I feel like this represents their real sound to me. I just wish they didn't do Run For Your Life
Yep
It's hard to not give the Beatles a 5. What they did to rock music in 7 albums is unbelievable. This album has one of my favorite Beatles songs on it "In My Life." They do have "better" albums than Rubber Soul, but it's still a fantastic record.
One of the Beatles milestones.
Best track: In my life
One of, if not the, favourite Beatles record of mine. Gorgeous harmonies, all the parts are tight. Ringo’s drums are a joy to listen to, I could almost sing them. Some folky influences moving away from the Merseybeat rock and roll sound of their earlier work. This is the start of The Beatles really branching out and experimenting.
Call Beatles albums are perfect and rated 5/5
This was my firts expirience with The Beatles album, and it left a lasting positive impression
The first Beatles album I ever listened to at 7 years old. I was like “they can drive my WHAT???”
Up to the point of its release there hadn’t been anything as pop forward and having folk sensibility. What a treasure
I love this album so much it's so cohesive and there's not a bad track on it
Classic Beatles album. Great but not HoF.
Classic
This one brings me back to my childhood when my mom was teaching my brother and I about the ins and outs of a record player. A definite no-skipper filled with harmonies, guitars and short tracks that feel so full. Could listen to this from beginning to end every single day. High 5 stars!
If I was able to pick a favorite Beatles album, it would probably be Rubber Soul. Which I think is odd since it was a transition record from their bubble gum pop era to the artsy era.
It always takes me a second to get over the US version of this record, which I loved growing up; the absence of I've Just Seen a Face & It's Only Love still feels weird to me. But even so, the original UK version is excellent & sets a different tone.
My favourite Beatles album
Run For Your Life gets a lot of grief for being misogynistic but Drive My Car is about an annoying woman, Norwegian Wood is about an annoying woman, You Won't See Me is about an annoying woman, What Goes On is about an annoying woman, Girl is about an annoying woman, and I'm Looking Through You (BANGER) is about an annoying woman. 50% of the songs. Anyway 5 stars great album.
This will always be my favorite Beatles album for subjective reasons, followed closely by the White Album. Revolver, Abbey Road, Peppers, are all great, don't get me wrong, but I feel like I can argue the merits of this one based on the story of their creative journey it tells. Where White Album finds them find the ceiling of how high they can fly their freak flag, and Let It Be & Abbey show how they learned to use their abstract side in a refined, tasteful manner, Rubber Soul shows them just begin to find the pulley to begin raising that flag. Recorded the very year half the band discovered LSD, you can listen to them go from the love song rich era previous to starting to consider deeper layers of life's rich tapestry, exploring different sounds, writing very impressionistically, and also George debuts his sitar-era. I love that they are starting to really find and revel in their individuality, and all the awkwardness that the band finds through their attempts to express their new found individualities in the face of a band dynamic. They are beginning to mature, losing innocence, but struggling against the angst of so many newly-found disconnects. I've had the chance to deep dive into this album at an early age, it being passed down to me from my mom. I heard it over and over on CD, being one of her first CD purchases I played it frequently in the house. I think it informed my love of "transitionary-era-albums" for a lifetime to come. Something about a band in the face of great changes, either internal or in the face of the aesthetic era they're in, really says a lot about who they are as people and artists. The sometimes-angsty psychedelic explorations on this album, all about desire, frustration, insecurity, & confusion, says it all about these 4. This album, to me, officially ends their "goofball era" saying "some of us are really, really high, everyone knows who we are, and all of us are freaked the fuck out. Maybe love is all you need, but today I'm not sure I know what it really means yet."
The Beatles again. Drop the mic. GOAT.
The birth of The Beatles! A real turning point: drugs and studio over screams and mop tops. Not their best album but one of the most important.
This is album 366 for me. Probably my favorite Beatles album. But I also think most of their stuff is 5 star. So year number 2 is starting with a bang on this project. Beep-beep, beep-beep, yeah.
BEST SONGS: - Michelle - Girl
One of my favorite “early” Beatles albums.
Ahhhh….when the Beetles were all getting along and the music was great! This has to be one my favorite albums they ever made. Several of their big hits are on this album. ❤️❤️
It's so good. I'm surprised how good it is.
I’m still not jazzed about several artists having a bagillion records on this list, but I can’t get too mad about including the single most important musical shift album of all time.
One of the first albums where the Beatles started to find the sound that would make them one of the all-time greats.
perfect!
One of the best Beatles album.
This album is one I see listed as one of the best from the Beatles, and I've got to agree it is up there. My last album of theirs was "With the Beatles" and Rubber soul is pretty much better in every way. I really like the way the Beatles seem to take turns on each track as the album progresses. It helps keep your ears from getting used to what's going on and just zoning out. Great for my ADD. As I get more and more Beatles albums on this journey, I'm starting to realize I would have been a George guy. His songs just seem to be a bit more modern and are almost always unique and stand out to me on the albums. Another great album from the Beatles, this one is probably right up there with the White Album for me, and because the White Album has some weird tracks, I think this would be the album I could listen to on repeat a little easier. Favorite track "Think for Yourself" 5/5
Mega!!!!!
A bunch of bangers by John and Paul. A couple weird pieces from George. Ringo chewing paint chips. Another solid Beatles abum.
One of the best albums from the Fab Four.
Elska þessa plötu. Ennþá hráir, en samt orðnir flóknari og betri. Heildarverkið frábært og In My Life er náttúrulega eitt af þeirra bestu lögum. Aldrei minna en fimm stjörnur fyrir mitt leyti.
Snilldarverk. Millistykki í það sem koma skal. In my life alveg yndislegt.
An album made with tenderness. 8 of 14 songs were labeled "favorite" songs on my spotify. Not even a handfull albuns could manage to do that. Top 3 albuns of the best band of the humankind history.
