Reviews (page 11 of 11)
No. Not under any circumstances.
Waste of time and waste of space on this list.
British hard rock that ain't for me
not interested in this at all
Listened to the 1st 3 songs then moved on to the Clash. Not my thing
Heard one, heard ‘em all
Disliked very much. Guy's voice is intolerable.
Not my cup of tea.
Even as a slightly gormless and tragic teenager when getting into comic-book metal bands like Iron Maiden, and even thinking Def Leppard was rock music I though Judas Priest were just silly and cringeworthy. You will not be surprised to hear that in the intervening 30 plus years this situation has not improved. Who listens to this bollocks? I don't care how well played it is. It sounds silly. It is silly. Even the most credible sounding tracks on here are just copying Motorhead except the singer, instead of gargling gravel, apparently got his knacks caught in a pasta press.
Definitely not for me.
You can really hear the super-lame hair metal like Poison or Motley Crue lurking just around the corner from this super-lame whatever-the-fuck-kind-of-shitty-metal-this-is. I know some idiots think they are discerning music fans who just hate, for example, country music, but really they are just prejudiced and haven’t heard good country music and hopefully a list like this could broaden their horizons and educate them a bit. But the thing about metal is that there is no good metal. It is all shit. There are no metal albums that anyone needs to hear because the genre as a whole is completely without value unless you are a 15 year old boy or a moron. I am neither of those, so I have no interest in ever hearing any metal albums of whatever type. They are all absolute garbage.
DNF - Sorry not for me
No thanks.
No
Not my bag - I don't think its horrible, but I also don't really find anything redeeming in this. 2.3/5
Una verga
What an old din

I've never been a fan of Judas Priest and I'm still not a fan after listening to British Steel from start to finish. I can't stand Rob Halford's singing. I find their themes and their whole attitude annoying.
Boring.
Metal which I dislike with a passion lmao. Not the strongest streak now..
This sucks.
Not for me
Boring heavy metal. Not the genre for me.
It's not that its not my thing, I just don't like it. Mostly I don't like the structure of the songs, the production, the drumming. First album with dave Holland on drums, should have gave it a go without him The iron maiden album I listened to last week was so much better than this. Its so short and overstays it's welcome. After Two listens today, I can guarantee I will never listen to this again United is the highlight, finally a song with a bit of melody, I'd add this to a playlist and forget the rest. There is also a song a little later with a reggae beat that is fine, but overall, i just didn't like it at all. Maybe a 1 would be too harsh, but that was my thought when it started, when it ended and during. Towards the end of the second listen i was really not enjoying it
Not my kind of music.
Heavy metal is not my taste.
My favorite part of this album was when it ended.
Can’t do the metal.
i guess i just really don't like british heavy metal. way too happy and energetic. plus quite repetitive, it felt like listening to the same song for 45 minutes. will definitely not listen to it again
Don't like metal
Compared to Sabbath, Zep and Queen. I'm a big fan of the latter two and do not agree.
C'est beau comme du Johnny Halliday.
Rating a one, rating a one Rating a one, rating a one Rating a one, rating a one Rating a one, rating a one
Nope. Nope. Nope.
Nah
Nicht mein Geschmack
Not so good
Nope.
Beavis & Butt-head “breakin the law, breakin the law!”
Somewhere between punk and heavy metal. Wasn't crazy about any songs.
no use nunca cuero asi que medio que le paso por el costado a este disco
absolutely not my taste of music :)
too much. 1.
Kämäistä sillä huonolla tavalla, jonka valitsemista punkin kämäisyyden sijasta en ymmärtäisi, vaikka eläisin 200-vuotiaaksi.
The first track sounds like a neutered version of Mötörhead, without the spark that can make the latter thrilling. The second track sounds like a neutered version of Black Sabbath, without the spark that can make the latter thrilling. The third track is a famous single, admittedly catchy. The fourth track sounds like a neutered version of Van Halen, without the spark that can make the latter thrilling. Or is it a neutered version of AC/DC? Or some proto-Guns'n'Roses? Anyway... I can't decide if the fifth track is as moving as an old union song, or just plain ridiculous. The sixth track is yet another dumb compositon by Judas Priest, the ultimate cheesefest hairmetal band. And the seventh. And the eighth. And so on... You get the picture now, I believe. The stats in this app say I don't like "metal" and "hard rock". Nope, I *can* like those genres. It's just that I hate a lot of albums in that style that the so-called "specialist" within Dimery's team selected. Whoever he is, that guy (he's probably a bloke, right?) just has an awful taste in music. 1/5 for the purposes of this list, which translates to a 4/10 grade for more general purposes (4 + 0). Number of albums left to review: more than 500 (I've temporarily lost count) Number of albums I'll include in my own list: half so far, approximately Number of albums I *might* include: a quarter, approximately. Number of albums I'll never include: another quarter (including this one--many others are more important to me)
more background music
Crap.
Not my thing
Metal. No thanks.
Not a fan.
Not my thing.
👎👎👎
No. Just no.
Nope. Got as far as Grinder and gave up. Basic, unimaginative and pointless.
Judas Priest - British Steel Refused to listen.
I don't like Judas Priest.
A crud sandwich topped with crud sauce served on a bed of crud
yuck
Sorry, I can't stand this band. I feel that their version of "heavy metal" has lost all connection with the Blues which is an essential ingredient in any genre of music.
not my thing
life’s too fucking short for 80s metal sorry
Most of it was complete garbage...but the songs had the quality that at times I found myself muttering aloud "breakin the law....breakin the laaawww". 1.5/5
Hemska lyrics, de kan spela och sjunga med hur mycket teknik de vill, visionen känns så ytlig och tom som den bara kan bli... Living after midnight e också ass och ja kan inte köpa att detta nörd band skulle bryta mot någon lag....
SNOOZE FEST. not a creative idea in sight. lame.
Nope. Not for me. This would be good for anyone that likes AC/DC
Did not like it then and still don’t. Lacking intelligence and talent.
Sorry, but I’m good
p460. 1980. 1.5 stars. Well done of its type, but definitely not my thing. Rob Halford can't sing, and there is a lot of filler. It's dull and left no lasting impression, and the final track (Red White And Blue) is an abomination. Really struggled to listen to this one all the way through. Not essential listening.
As a proud Priest-head, I can't really put into words what this record means to me. As a young man without identity when I first heard the lyrics, I wept. Finally someone had voiced every feeling I had bottled up inside me. This release was so powerful and completely turned my world upside down. In a good way. I felt that I could wear what I wanted, shag who I wanted, love what I wanted, without any prejudice. I owe these guys everything and if they are reading this, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU! You made me the man I am today.
I dont like that type of music.
Hardcore and probably not for me
Metal and heavy rock, not my genre. Didn't finish
Oh come on. There are a lot more than 1001 albums that are more worth listening to than this. Not good.
A heavy metal platter of stodgy commercially-produced cheese. I find this style of overblown rock/metal laughable... in an annoying way, not a fun way. 1.5*
Nope
No, just no
Nope
Allt í lagi. Rembings söngur sem er leiðigjarn á tímabilum. Betra í klassísku rokklögunum.
I'm not a heavy metal fan so I didn't get into this one. 1/5 stars.
I genuinely don't get the appeal of this sort of music. Is it supposed to be cool? Edgy? Rocking? The instrumentals are boring, the songs feel very samey structure- and instrumentation-wise aside from some stylistic changes like united (which is just boring in another way), the lyrics lack substance and feel like what dads think are cool. I get the same feeling from this that i get from a lot of modern pop records, making the same song a few times, hope some become hits, make an album. Very lame overall, although i do appreciate breakin da law.
; "Red white blue veramente???" Comunque non avrò mai voglia di risentirlo.
Dedo no cu e gritaria
Big fan of the chorus to Breaking The Law - (has to be sung whenever that phrase is used in a conversation), but nothing more.
Doffe ellende.
Need to rename this 999 Albums to “Renew Brits Lacklusters”. Too many repetitive albums that all sound the same and mostly from across the pond
😝😴
"BREAKING THE LAW, BREAKING THE LAW" Oh yeah, so metal. I find myself wishing this was less bon jovi and more black sabbath.
Hints of musicianship, terrible vocals
I didn't like this one.
This genre really isn’t for me but I did end up adding one song to my library from the album hahaha
