As an early fan of the charlatans, I loved some friendly and between 10th and 11th, the latter of which is one of my all time favourite albums.
This album is so middle of the road, almost an oasis derivative (which is saying something). It's just really, really dull.

I've deliberated over what rating I should give this album for far longer than I should. I listened to it 3 or 4 times. The most I've listened to it since 2003 when I tried to give The Beatles a chance buying every album post Rubber Soul but just couldn't get with them. I still can't.
I love Good Night as a track but it also makes me want to listen to Ekkehard Ehlers - Plays John Cassavetes instead of listening to this album in its entirety. Again.

'Sunday Bloody Sunday'. What a great song. It really encapsulates the frustration of a Sunday, doesn't it? You wake up in the morning, you've got to read all the Sunday papers, the kids are running round, you've got to mow the lawn, wash the car, and you think "Sunday, bloody Sunday!".
