Reviews (page 4 of 14)

Moon Safari is one of my favourite albums of all times, I can literally enjoy this album at all times.

10/10 it has such a fun, retro sound for its time even tho it came out in the 90s, it feels like something you’d hear from the 70s, at least to my amateur ears the actual album is so incredibly well made I just love everything about this

genuine 5 stars for me. this is one of the best "airplane" albums of all time, which is a compliment.

Beautiful, wonderfully paced, timeless classic. More of a special significance to me as it was playing in the background for most of my teens. Re-listening after all these years it is still as awesome - just one cute noticeable difference - I can note the low quality of certain samples in the mix - but that actually doesn't even detract from the greatness of this record.

Very slick and engaging. This is likely to be the start of an electronic deep dive similar to the metal one that Anthrax sent me down a while back. This is exactly the type of album I could see myself playing while driving or walking around on a sunny day. It's the definition of a vibe. Never too repetitive so it never got annoying. Sleek and novel. 5

A masterpiece. Essential.

Hopeful posting

omg like time travelling to my teenage years.

Beautiful album, especially the first half is very strong. 5/5

Undoubtedly, my favorite aspect of the album is the atmosphere it invokes. For a record with scant lyrics in a standard sense, Moon Safari is quite romantic. Cuts like "Remember," "You Make It Easy," "All I Need," and "Le Voyage de Penelope" all have a strangely intimate sound to them. However, this resonance may be what defines this album and it rockets Moon Safari from great to amazing.

Surprisingly enjoyable! I’ve only ever heard” Sexy Boy” before but there’s some other gems on here. Also it’s varied not everything in the same style. I’ve enjoyed electronica more in recent years so, deffo a good album for me! Saved tracks: Kelly Watch the Stars, Talisman, New Star in the Sky

Always loved this Gallic masterpiece.

Already loved this album.

Excelente!!

Easy listening electric beats. Mellow for morning or late evening listening

Familiarity bias. Much use of this as falling asleep music in my youth. Still great. Remember still the worst track, the Beach Boys sample just doesn't work for me.

Immediately refreshing and interesting.

I love how ethereal it is. It doesn’t feel like music, but something more. It’s an experience. Feels like I’m floating in space and I’m safe at home at the same time.

sexy boyyyy

A favourite of mine already ! Love this album from start to finish . Seen the tour as well ❤️

Man, it was a nice surprise to discover them for the first time.

This album probably would've been a 3 for me 10 years ago, go figure. Nowadays, I find a nice mellow groove that stays for the whole album, even as it shifts around in tone and mood. It doesn't overstay it's welcome either. 4.5 rounded up because Kelly Watch the Stars puts me in a better mood whenever it gets stuck in my head. 🤩

Great album

A total surprise, in the best way. It's impressive how the sounds can conjure different places and vibes for different people; a 70s spacestation bachelor pad, a stylish spy film score, a safe zone in a 90s video game. For me, it's the sound of a cool house party, where you're swapping between a fun and crowded party downstairs, and a cool quiet bedroom upstairs to recharge. It's fantastic that an album can vividly take me to such a place, as well as do the same to other people in different ways. Feel bad giving it 5 stars, since it's not revolutionary or anything, but I really like it.

So good. I listen to it often.

This album is one of the best ever.

A massive favorite. Loved it when it came out. Love it now

OMG I fucking love this album.

Phenomenal! My partner plays this album a lot and i’ve always loved it but have never known the name of it

I love this album

I have listened to this album quite a lot in the past couple of years, having rediscovered it through (I think) a reddit thread. Very chill. The only song I sometimes skip is You Make It Easy.

Dear lord. Yes. Right on. This album is crazy good. As «Virgin suicide» is.

This turned out to not be great running music, but I went back to it at work, and it is seriously beautiful and calming, I was blown away

YES! I love this album. So chill and beautiful. Great music to work to.

Favorite

Really liked this, some good old fashion funky stuff

Very funky. A genre I haven't heard before or at least can't name. There was nothing particularly exciting about it but it wasn't bad background music.

electronic goodness!!!

ЭТО БАЗА!

Pretty cool. Psychedelic, but thick and satisfying, not too “airy”, some good grooves.

Great album!!

This is everything

Dope album! If they had partial stars this would be short of five but feeling generous.

It’s like a gigantic electronic pillow I want to nestle in. 5/5

Thoroughly enjoyed this album. Had the feel on the mid- to late-90s downtempo electronica. I felt transported back to high school with this one. Almost felt like if Röyksopp co-wrote the backing tracks with Fiona Apple, with a bit of Massive Attack mixed in for fun. The '60s and '70s era synths mixed with instruments was a welcome surprise. The overall album was pleasant, though I feel I will revisit my favorites, particularly La femme d'argent, All I Need, Kelly Watch the Stars, Remember, and Le voyage de Pénélope. Great code writing music for me.

I immediately recognized the first song, even though I've never heard of the artist or album. I enjoy the downtempo vibes and slow grooves. My head was nodding along to the easy beats and I can definitely see myself coming back to this for easy, instrumental listening during work. Loved this!

Chill, good for work, some orchestral

Ya lo conocía. Tengo un cd de ellos, pero no es éste. Venga, le doy un 5.

Late 90s classic. Still a great album, so 5 stars, with a note that its successor (10000000 Hz Legend) is the real classic (1000000 stars)

A masterpiece in 90s downtempo. It's beautiful, nostalgic, and a vibe for every occasion, whether for background, study, relaxation, or dancing. There are accessible pop songs back and forth with atmospheric spacey instrumental tracks. Every sound is perfected, not a single weak track. They nailed down the track ordering. Did they seriously make all the sounds themselves? With the only (possible) samples being small artistic choices like the children laughing in "New Star in the Sky"? Not sure how to describe it well, but I like how the songs carry me through feelings of anticipation and resolution, there's no repetition but I look forward to how to resolve parts they build up to.

I remember hearing & digging this album when it came out, but I seem to have lost track of it sometime over the course of the last 24 years.

I'm a bit biased since this is one of my favourite albums already. This is like pure silk through the avenues of my mind, so cool it defies classification and about as mellow as you'll ever need.

Love this. Always have. Always will.

So many songs I love in this album and inadvertently listening to them for years on chill out albums before I knew who they were !

Great album. Absolute pioneering chilled electronics which has wel stood the test of time.

This is share-housing in 1999 for me. Great album.

Familiar, French, fantastic

Prachtig album! Lang niet meer gedraaid, maar eigenlijk nog beter dan toen ie net uitkwam.

Very good!

Love those chill vibes

That was genuinely amazing. It's like Pink Floyd Daft Punk, which sounds like the stupidest thing ever, but actually works really well. I found that the weakest track for me was yet again the first one. Maybe my ears needed some warming up, I don't know. After that it's great song after great song. The biggest highlights for me were "Sexy Boy", "You Make it Easy", "New Star in the Sky". Turns out French electronic elevator music goes HARD. This and Oxygene, which I just had four days ago.

An indie classic. Feels like hanging out at a cool wine bar.

My first listen was while working (coding) and it was nice, would give a 5 based on that, but ofc didnt pay much attention. Second listen I actually payed attention and have to say I like this. 4.5 but rounding it up

Замечательно

Beaitiful album

This is a throwback to hs

Brought back some good memories of listening to this and The Virgin Suicides.

Great album. Reminds me of working nights at a TV studio and playing that in the background while working.

I love the music !

Lekker dromerig. Maar toch interessant genoeg om er de aandacht bij te kunnen houden. De 3 singles uit het album kende ik al. Maar de rest is ook zeker de moeite waard.

Great album

An old favourite - nice to revisit and one track made it into the wedding playlist

A true lo-fi, lo-tempo, chill-out synth classic

Þvílík fegurð!

Really good stuff

Fantastic album. So iconic

I always used to think French pop started and finished with Serge Gainsbourg. This is the album that changed my mind

I mean, it's an all time classic.

Идеальный летний альбом для любого времени года

This album was on constantly at the photo studio I worked at in the late 90's. I loved it then and love it now.

Excellent

Ya lo conocía. Tengo un cd de ellos, pero no es éste. Venga, le doy un 5.

Fucking classic. I love it.

Classic, heard this album many many times in my life!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_psebBaOFM that was my reaction to seeing this superb album.

Half Daft Punk, half Khruangbin, all sexy

Was intrigued by this one. Thought I'd not come across them before but found 1 track already on a playlist of mine. Enjoyed it - great music 4 working from home.

Excellent album, added to library

Awesome

This album is an all-time favorite

absolutely classic album

Stone cold classic. Haven’t listened to the full album in years and forgot how good it is. No dud tracks.

Stunning album and a genuine all-time favourite of mine. So this gets maximum possible points for the music but I'm slightly less sure about the legacy/influence/significance (although I'm basing this largely on Wiki). Either way a sick album, with no weak points. 9.5/10

A classic album of its time. Could listen to it all day long, and yet for some reason hadn't put it on in years. Thanks for the reminder of how bloody good it is.

Excellent! Great songs on this album which I would never have known the artist unless listening to JLAC.

Smooth, elegant & timeless. When I listened to it 25 years ago I thought there was a bit of "filler" on side 2 but not now.

I was surprised to find this album, totally rocks #1001albumsgenerator https://1001albumsgenerator.com/ssb

Very light eletronic music with a disco touch. I like it

Simply wonderful

I knew this album and forgot I knew it. I listen to the first track pretty often on a playlist I like. I've heard the 2nd song a lot. I finally listened to the whole album sometime last year and really like it.

Perfect, just what I was looking for on a cloud Saturday. Really well made.

Awesome electro chill

Smoother than a gillette commercial

Breezy

Luftig, veldig fint, hører igjen

a truly beautiful album of art

a lovely sweet assortment

Moon Safari my baby. Didn't know it was on this list.

Excellent album

I was not expecting to love this album the way I did. It is a level of chill and relaxing that is just sublime, and the choices of pads and synths carry the sound without ever getting stale. Best one so far.

Th-th-th-throwback

Amazing vibes. Give me more!

Lot's of big hits on this one. Will need to listen deeper. "Sexy Boy" and "All I need" are staples of the 90s.

Cool and very chill

Beautiful soundscape.

I didn’t know that I loved this band. I already knew the first 2 songs.

I’m feelin it slime…. I feel it

overall a Very enjoyable listen!! :) its a Vibe™️ this is also another band i always wanted to check out more stuff from so glad i had an excuse to do so! fave- la femme d'argent, really enjoyed it as an opener to the album!! and honorable mention for sexy boy, its a classic

This is so circa 98. Clearly a wicked record Best tracks: Ce matin-la, sexy boy, all I need 8 / 10

Dreamy, Loungy, sehr cool!

Great album!

yes haha, YES!

Good instrumentals, will definitely save for studying music

The french are ok sometimes

Pleasant aesthetic overall. It flows well, leaving the impression of a live set in a retrofuturistic lounge somewhere in a megatropolis. At the same time, it remains perpetually restrained, anonymous. It does anything but demand to be listened to; it channels a passively captivating vibe. Given that there's basically nothing here for an active listener, can it really qualify as must-hear? Hmm, well hearing and listening are two distinct actions, so I'll go with a soft yes. 4/5

Kinda sleepy. But kinda good.

yes already listened

2nd time I’ve listened to this album recently- listened to in the car yesterday, and I have to say what an excellent album, really loved it, with several stand out trax

Chillii ambienttii meininkii yes sir

very atmospheric, quite electronic, more instrumental with less vocals on some tracks, overall enjoyable

Pretty good

It started off as a modern take on Space Age Jazz of the late 50s and I was really into it but then it evolved in unexpected ways to be very moody and ethereal before coming back to the Space Age Jazz. I was very surprised by how much I liked this.

Sunday, 28 June, 2026 This record is great. It’s lo fi style hits every time.

I really liked this album and I’m going to rate it as a 4/5. The instruments were very enveloping and it makes you feel relaxed but dynamic at the same time. This album would be perfect for a unique romantic dinner. I will definitely listen to it again. Moon Safari (1998) by Air.

air good yes sexy boy

kende ik al: zo een goed chill album

Good and it was kinda magical bc at the end of my awesome day we went to this fancy sushi spot and Sexy Boy played… anyways i ljkedd it a little less than i thought i would but some bangers for sure!

The first part is excellent. I had been listening to several of these songs for years with no awareness of the album or the band, my spouse silently added them to our Spotify playlist. Sneaky.

I like it more than I thought I would! Learned that what downtempo was today

So many songs I recognise but didn't realise they were all on the same album, let alone the same artist! Cool.

perfect album to listen to while floating around in space. first 3 songs are 10/10

Atmospheric electronic much better than what I normally hear when I think of electronic. Great album to just turn on and relax or while you’re doing chores.

Quirky and fun

Was super worried that would be some strange album but it was hella vibey

Daft Punk Lite

Great electronic album. Forgot all about how iconic Sexy Boy is!

funky and so smooth, instrumentals are great and I loved “remember” and “Kelly watch the stars”. I actually remember my dad playing “sexy boy” in the car one time, so that was cool lol

really love how instrumental this is- so easy to listen to

Loved this, very relaxing album

If you're my cat, then Kelly Watch the Stars is a fantastic tune to have your human listen to while playing with a cat wand and this is a five-star album for that song. But if your a human, this isn't an album to exercise to, but a fun chill-out album. Four stars.

Álbum rock experimental francés. Me ha recordado en algunas canciones a una mezcla de Pink Floyd y Daft Punk muy curiosa. Muy recomendable, se escucha solo pero a la vez siento que es mejor escucharlo con atención, buen álbum.

I have never listened to an electronic album that I more than tolerated. Surprise!! I fucking loved this. Everything about this- melodies, instrumentation, song structure- is just beautiful start to finish. Perfectly named album, too. Really feels like an ethereal float through outer space, but the music stays grounded and never loses structure the way some space-psychedelia sounds sometimes can. Fuck. Might turn into a 5.

This feels like a software update on the 1950s/1960s instrumental lounge music you can find for fifty cents in the back of really bad bookstores and I am here to embrace it with arms open wide

What if Daft Punk but more chill and airy? I'm down

8.5/10 very relaxing didnt expect that i would like it as much as i did

It's fine, there's nothing about it I dislike but at the same time there's not too much that stands out for me I've heard this album being called "everyone's favourite ['love-making'] music", so I guess no tracks absolutely *have to* stand out on their own - more important things are at stake. I'm inclined to give it a 4 on the basis that it sounds terrific and I was decently entertained throughout. 3.8

Some good tracks early on, but the second half started to drag a bit. I liked it, but it seemed like something that would be better as an EP

A classic from the 90s. Good stuff!

Extremely cool album to listen to while driving through the majesty Of Iceland

I imagine all the elevators in spaceships and space stations have this on repeat. Likes: La femme d’argent; All I Need; Kelly Watch the Stars; You Make it Easy; Ce martin-là

This was an enjoyable listen. I will be back. 4/5

goated album, has classics with a mix of songs with no vocals. very dramatic, raw and electronic, feel like i’m a spy or in a mystery movie

Very late 90s and better than I remember.

I am a sexy boy

Just what I needed to get through my timesheet entry on a Friday

Blue Lines Massive Attack Reggatta De Blanc The Police 25 Adele

A review in two scenes Scene 1: INT a dodgy South London flat late 90’s My flatmate has both a PC and moon safari. When he’s working I spend the evening playing football manager and listening to moon safari. Scene 2 : INT a very mediocre hotel somewhere in the south east 2024. Away for work I have a very average breakfast whilst moon safari plays in the background It’s fair to say that this album deserves better than either of those listening environments. Its silky smooth exterior hides great depth. In the sultry vocals of Beth Hirsch and in the lush production. And the bass… my word… it pulses, grooves and drives the whole thing alone. Do yourself a favour, listen to this sat a table overlooking the med as the sun sets and you drink something cool. If you can’t do that give yourself the time and space to bathe in the albums warmth

Overall I enjoyed. I think there’s a few songs that stick out, and it’s better than the last album from Air that I listened to. Rating: 7/10 Favorite Song: New Star in the Sky, Sexy boy, la femme d’argent

Great album to relax to.

Lovely dreamy electronic pop stuff. Obviously the famous first two songs are great, but I found the female vocal songs to be excellent as well.

It was surprisingly enjoyable.

Pre daft punk kinda. Overall enjoyed

I'd not heard of Air. I start the album playing, enjoy listening through headphones while I read the Wikipedia article, which leads me to I browse the 2010 list of 100 essential albums of French rock (on which it appears), I went down some rabbit holes but then searched up more about Air, including a Mixmag interview from 2025 (when the "Blue Moon Safari" remake was released). When the album's finished, I watch a couple of the videos (which seem to help me gauge the intent) and then I replay the album some more. It's significantly more energetic than the 'chillout' or 'downtempo' labels would have lead me to expect. Also it sounds way more analogue than the label "electronic duo" would have suggested - more like multi-instrumentalists who had aimed for retro arrangements with drums, bass and plenty of keyboards (often given solo space), occasional front-and-centre space-bleep bits. (Quote from Nicolas Godin: "I wonder how we put all of this together, because they're all made using the same trick: one bassline, some pads, organs…") It seems very nicely produced - good for headphones, I dare say it would be good for coming down from over-excitement (while not nearly falling-asleep music). Largely instrumental, some tracks have singing/vocoder - chords and vibe in Kelly Watch The Stars quite suggestive of Daft Punk. A step back has me wondering what is the album saying, or (since it doesn't appear to be demanding attention) what does it want from us - is it happy to be a soundtrack to other activities, eg reading a book?? It's described as "dance music" - I wonder if people did or would dance to these tracks in a club context?? Whatever answers might seem good to these questions, I've decided that for me this album is Very Good, 8/10.

Yah, this is good music! I can picture 13 year old Daft Punk hearing this and going, "Yah, that's the stuff!" And the Massive Attack kids were like "We're taking some of it, too!" I usually hate on songs/bands that get very repetitive, but somehow I wasn't annoyed by it much here. I prefer the instrumental bits over the singing ones. Beth is fine, but not quite grabby enough for me. Overall though, super listenable. Not soul-stirring or deep, but quality background music. I'd give it a 3.7. A 4 here because I really didn't have a minute where I wanted to skip out.

SOOOOO 90’s omg- I need to go to a coffee shop in a Lycra turtleneck so I can listen to this again

I really like this downtempo chill sound. Feels like flowing water. A bit ethereal, a bit dreamy.

Heyy! I just listened to this a few weeks ago after my brother recommended Air. Crazy timing. Nice down-tempo atmospheric album, great bass lines, overall just a great sleepytime or early morning record to listen to over coffee. Gives off that kind of chic “sexy spy” sound that I think is a hard line to walk and where a lot of artists fall embarrassingly into shmaltz (looking at you Ute Lemper)— but it’s pulled off really well here. I couldn’t blame anyone for not feeling this but it’s my jam for sure.

Wollt ich schon immer mal hören, cool. Am Ende etwas langweilig.

A very relaxing and enjoyable listen. A good album to listen to driving home after a night out or just relaxing at home having a beverage of your choice.

Liked it - quite varied, Sexy Boy the hit I remember, but lots of much mellower tunes make up the rest of a pretty relaxing listen

More of a 3.5-3.75 stars album than a 4 star album.

Suprisingly nice instrumentals

Super om hier mee wakker te worden. Rustgevend! Zo veel herinneringen

Some nice, vocal-less beats and music. Slower and etherial so far.

just as dreamy as I remember

femme d'argent sounds like severance theme, generally cool like french experimental jazz

Extremely tasteful vibe music. Air is an appropriate name for this band. Ethereal, ambient, and enjoyable. Incredible focus music. Will be added to the rotation. 4/5.

super !!

Groovy

Nice and chilled.

Really good!

Awesome!

Started out a 5 star but couldn’t sustain.

- already love this album. i feel so cool listening to it. - they wrote “sexy boy” about austin paul behrens - this album def had influence on daft punk and the strokes. i hear it in the synth~ especially on “remember” - 🇫🇷 - wish i was on a beach in Europe sunbathing

rocks cock

Lots of memory and nostalgia here, and soft good vibes. A few filler tracks in the middle but mostly lush.

Beautiful, haunting, ethereal. Great vibey listen.

Adult Swim bumper music.

Like the Sundays & Garbage but Electronic and mixed with a 60’s French film score

Overall, it is some enjoyable background music.

An enjoyable listen with many orchestral sounds blended with synthy electronic music and many quality bass lines. Never did the album sound too electronic or exceed its own boundaries, nor did it require an excess of attention to appreciate. A quality album that surpassed expectations.

A bandmate recommendation that paid off. Moon Safari sits in electronic music territory that has been consistently difficult throughout this project, and it works where so many others haven’t — because Air built this record around warmth rather than coldness, melody rather than texture, and vintage analog keyboard sounds rather than synthetic distance. The Rhodes and Wurlitzer-style parts are the heart of it — warm, slightly worn, and immediately inviting in a way that most electronic production never manages. There’s a cinematic quality here that connects to the Shuggie Otis warmth that landed so well earlier in the project, a sense that these sounds belong to a specific and appealing world rather than just existing as production choices. The horns that surface on one track deepen that impression considerably, briefly making the whole thing feel like a lost 70s film score. The atmospheric quality that tends to push electronic records into background listening territory is present here too, and a closer listen would probably reveal more. But even at a moderate level of attention the melodic content and keyboard textures give it enough to hold onto — which is more than most records in this genre manage. A genuine four — warm, melodic, and the electronic record that finally delivers what the format keeps promising.

This was great! From the first (very groovy!) track, this had me hooked. Lots of variety, but always interesting. I might actually pick this one up. 8/10 Most Excellent

Very smooth chill music. All I need and Beth Hirsch voice absolute killer track

Surprisingly enjoyable

elektronische musik gemischt mit streichern und anderen analogen instrumenten - tolle atmosphäre mit bekannten hits.

I really liked this, it almost makes up for the time I got high in the baseball dugouts behind our dorm, went into the chapter room and got freaked out while everyone was watching A Trip to the Moon scored by Air.

An old favourite. A chilled- out classic.

Chill is a great way to describe this music, this is a great find and i greatly enjoyed it.

I dug it.

Fun album, would be great for a late-night drive. Thank you french people

Sounded like the music at the coolest coffee shop you’ve ever been too. Atmospheric and lovely. Will listen to at work.

Great album

I was surprised how many songs I knew. "All i need" is my favorite track of the album. "New star in the sky" was a pleasant new discovery. Especially the start and end is strong. Nice, chilled atmosphere. The good version of pop music. Some songs feel a bit like a filler tho.

Definitely not an album for everyone, but it’s a great blend of what’s basically elevator music, some trance, trip hop, and downtempo. It’s not dancy, but it is easy to listen to, atmospheric, and pleasant. There’s some essence of daft punk and some others in here as well. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

great jams

most fitting artist name in music history fave track: talisman

Referring to an album as "mood music" has the danger of a carrying a negative connotation, conjuring memories of characterless elevator muzak. That's not what I mean when I refer to Moon Safari as sublime mood music. This album instantly changes the room's atmosphere from the first song "La femme d'argent" making it feel instantly more sophisticated. There are obvious comparisons to be made with Daft Punk but I feel like Air uses less vocal repetition which makes this more listenable for me than something like DP's "Discovery". The bass sounds so good throughout the whole album. I love the euphoric vocoder on "Kelly Watch the Stars". The opening minute of "New Star in the Sky" sounds like it should soundtrack a mysterious desert town in a JRPG. The album is mellow, textured and dreamy. However, this is music to put on in the background, and not as satisfying to actively listen to, which is where some of the vitriol is perhaps coming from.

Air is possibly the most aptly named musical group ever. How they manage to arrange such wispy and carefree melodies that still feel vital is beyond me. Tracks like All I Need, Ce Matin-La, and New Star in the Sky are as moody and beautiful as you could hope for in this laid back electronica that feels somewhere between dreampop and Daft Punk. And yet...I can't quite love it completely. Something about it is too ephemeral to focus on entirely and I fear that dooms it to beautiful background music in my listening repertoire.

gugugaga

i understand everything better now, just wow

It was different and a unique album.

Very satisfying background music - I mean it as a complement

Yea this was way more fire than I expected it to be

I had a relaxing listen, not a bad song. I then played it to my girlfriend who immediately laughed imagining Ross from Friends playing with his keyboard. I then thought like "Shit, maybe I am too a neat guy".

Very cool

Although at times I thought this was teetering on easy listening without real substance, I quickly realised it has a lot of interesting layers. The electronic instrumentation is executed beautifully, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of Mort Garson's Plantasia. I wasn’t blown away, but I’ll definitely return to this.

Nice n groovy

I had no idea what to expect but I honestly liked it! Interesting sounds and vibes.

i liked it! never heard something like that before. faves: remember, la femme d'argent, talisman, you make it easy, le voyage de pénélope

So many textures and sounds. Love this band so much. This isn't my favorite album by them, but it's incredible nonetheless.

트랙 2에 레전드 브금 존재; 베스트 : Remember

So gorgeous. Some minor filler but the bangers bang.

French electronic music duo. Right. Ok. What am I getting into. Let's see. I like electronic. I love the idea of the French. In reality not so much but the idea is great. This feels appropriating. Oh wait. This is good. Ok. Do your thing french electronic music duo. Are there any lyrics?? No of course not. At least they're not singing in french. The woman of money oh I'm sure. Yeah I like this. It's a vibe. Nothing really special though. Oh my god. This song. Reminds me a little of never let me down again by depeche mode but this is iconic. This is sexy boy. This is the electronic song of the 90s. Of course it's french. Ok I see why they've added this album now. Oh very 90s 2000s sounding. Ok I like this. Just an angsty floaty song. I like it. Idk about Kelly but I'll watch the stars any day. Or night I guess. They really like Beth. I'm cool with her. Favourite: Sexy Boy/talisman Least favourite: You Make It Easy

I liked this a lot. I didn't know the band or any of their music, though I suppose I must have head them when I watched Virgin Suicides. Whatevs. Definitely something to add to my quiet time listening.

I've liked the retro-futurism of Air for awhile. The soundtrack to the Virgin Suicides is really good too. This album definitely executes the vision. There are probably a few too many background songs to get to 5 stars, but Remember, Kelly Watch the Stars and Sexy Boy are all standouts.

4/5 - I knew a few of these songs, especially "Sexy Boy," so I had an idea about this going in. Smooth, chill-out album with a really specific mood. I'm here for it.

Best wel van genoten.

Rate: 8/10 Es una vibra. Probablemente si eres una persona a la que le gusta Daft Punk y The Strokes te puede gustar este album.

Tranca, me gustó. Lo escucharía mientras dibujo o diseño.

Excellent album

Like an epsom salt bath, feeling detoxified. Many bangers I already knew from hearing elsewhere... (hospital show opening credits song?) Good for a chill Saturday morning, or relaxed midnight smokey living room

I had this on CD as soon as it came out, and it marked me out as the exact kind of sophisticated, pan-genre, little hipster that I otherwise singularly failed to be. Air were doing a lot of heavy lifting. Still, whatever, I loved it then and I really like it now. It's got that beautiful breathy tone to it, that simultaneously feels like the future and also some kind of analogue past.

Tech and advandced music.

Actually a bit cool, 7/10

A good album to put as background music. I feel like I'm on a journey, a chill journey. Doesn't feel rushed and flows/blends well today. Funky and calm.

Moon Safari is out there. Not familiar with downtempo electronica so thanks to The 1001 Must Hear List for this entry. Super mellow, but somehow cool at the same time. All tracks good, though kinda indiscernible to me. Like soft Air. (3.75*s) If there’s ever a night I can’t fall asleep, I’m gonna check out Air Radio.

Another cool electronic album in this experience and a chill, jazzy one at that. Another one that is perfect for early morning drives and one that could accompany "Smoker's Delight" on a party playlist. Something that could disappear into the background but when you do catch part of it you find yourself bopping along. I enjoyed this one way more than I thought I was going to. Sometimes a bit one note but it doesn't ruin the entire experience for me. 3.5/5 rounded up to a 4

Fun. Relaxing. Sexy and cool.

A late-90s classic, really captures the loungy zeitgeist of the time. But it's also filled with great tracks that have aged surprisingly well, at least to my ears that were contemporary to the original release.

I'm all in for francophone weirdness right now, so I was glad to see this. This album is very chill. I loved the one exception to that, "Sexy Boy"; I ended up playing that one twice and watching the amusing video twice, too. 4 stars

I was a little surprised when I saw that Massive Attack was in their similar artists, I thought it was gonna be more like Daft Punk. But I really liked this, I thought there was a lot of really fun and cool sounds on here. It was a really relaxing listen, and the second half of the album really flew by. I think these guys should get a lot more credit as far as being an electronic duo from France. They're top 3 for sure.

Sus canciones transmiten calma y tienen sonidos suaves que lo hacen diferente a otros álbumes. En mi opinión, es un álbum muy original y agradable para escuchar con calma.

really good

Classic!

I liked the sound

Really chill. I listened while i was working and i didn't have any distraction

Didn't think I'd know anything on this album but immediately recognised the first track. Wait... I know the second track too... and the third track... I'm so confused. OK. I don't know track 4. Good. I was worried there that I was a secret French-electronica-enjoyer. As for opinions, besides being confused about where I know all of this music from, I did actually quite enjoy the listen - which was a shock considering it's French. Definitely good easy-listening background music. I'd say it's not something I'd necessarily go back to, but ... I obviously have? I know I'm going to regret this but I think I'm going to give it a low 4.

I liked this. Mellow electronic with enough originality to keep me interested.

Sometimes jazzy, sometimes groovy, sometimes really electronic. It was fun while it lasted.

FAVS (top 3): sexy boy, remember, le voyage de penelope mençoes honrosas: all i need, kelly watch the stars, you make it easy gente curti um album bem legal, me deu uma sensaçao boa (?) KKKKKK n vo ta sabendo explicar so sentindo pra saber nota final: 4/5

I've never heard smth as magical as this

a nice album. reminds me of Daft Punk. really unique and interesting instrumentals. I think I've heard some songs from it on the radio a couple of times best tracks imo: la femme d'argent, remember, you make it easy, new star in the skyk, le voyage de Penelope

Such a good album, but wanders a bit at the end. I recall the wee hours watching Rage and seeing these guys. Perfect for when you got home and were winding down!

I wasn't expecting to like this album but I was pleasantly surprised. It sounds "of the future". It sounds like something that would be heard in a spaceship lounge while drinking cocktails. The songs are spacious and they create this unsettling atmosphere. A great album. Highlights: La femme d'argent Sexy Boy All I Need You Make It Easy

great one to revisit narrates the mundane tasks of my morning birthday present to myself (cd)

Lovely stuff 4.

Such an enthralling listen. It is a great album and a worthy inclusion to this list. 9/10 [KEEP]

Sonidos espaciales atmosféricos donde casi siempre solo son instrumentales (a lo daft punk) 192khz

4/5 Super vibey, not a lot of lyrics which I ended up enjoying a lot as a break from the other albums so far. Very French, which some people dislike but I enjoy quite a bit. It has spy movie vibes.

Like a 3.5, mostly background noise but good background noise. 4/5 overall as I'll round up to be nice.

Great sounds, a lot with synths! Interesting and out of common.

Für mich jetzt nichts weltbewegendes. Aber gut zum anhören, kannte einige Lieder ohne den Namen der Band zu kennen. Kann man sich geben!

Very relaxing album, has its strong points and weaker ones. Strong opening of the album - first 3 songs. Weaker towards the end. 8.5/10

Pretty solid lofi style chill music. Background stuff

I really enjoyed this album! Moon safari is the perfect title. I have never heard of it until this project. Probably the best electronic music I have heard in awhile.

Surprisingly fun! The first song hits. I feel like I’m in a lounge or bar in space.

Brilliant for background concentration music

Such a vibe, such great sounds.... and the songs are generally pretty good. I like it. This album feels like it deserves more than a three but less than a four - I wish we had a ten star rating system, or half points, or something. I feel like 3 stars just doesn't cut it but - here we are - ya know what screw it - FOUR STARS

I never make space in my life to listen to music like this. I like it though, very relaxing.

Great ambiances

Bom álbum!

This is pretty cool! It's a light and airy sounding combination of dance music, dream pop, and psych. The songs are pretty good, but this feels more like an atmosphere album to me. This is a really pleasant listen, with a cool instrumental palette, good production, and pretty memorable songs. It's not an album I have a ton to say about, but I thoroughly enjoyed my time regardless.

Track 1- SYNTH Track 2- know from song track of some forgotten movie I am sure, so far thinking this album would really complement the setting of driving a convertible done the winding coast roads of the countryside during dusk Or in a French club surround by dancing unbelievable sexy people I’ll take either one tbh Track 3- making me crave a cigarette Track 4- great continual vibe through each track, really uniform in aesthetic so far Track 5- psychedelic tech jazz, great build, nearly orchestral ending, feels like the sound track to a bond movie Track 6- daft punk on vocals with Casper the ghost harmonies Track 7- I’m not quite a fan of this track, blended more to a sort of ballad with an orchestra accompaniment that also include a synth and sound board, found it slightly off the vibe of the others Track 8- elevator music Track 9- making me crave a cigarette, I enjoy the vast majority of time being spent of the instrumental parts of the whole album Track 10- sexy instrumental, great ending to the album Overall album- Looking for a chill but vibes backing music to a dinner, or intimate soundtrack to add to a bottle of wine, this would be a good shout Great cover, great album name Perfected the sound of a orchestral psychedelic French duo from the 90s

Groovy

I was honestly surprised to have found this pleasant. I wouldn't listen to it all the time but I could see times when I would. As a general cynic of this genre, such carries a lot of weight. Maybe a bit generous here but I'll give it some love.

Aptly titled, this spacey little number is truly a calm and soothing voyage into the vastness of your subconscious - or the roadmap to one fuggin' vibrant drug trip. Dealer's choice, but either way the destination is obscured, and the air is potent with incense. Typically records like these, exploring space rather than conquering it, can lose my interest, and it's true that some tracks dance on the precipice of doing just that, but for this guy? As soon as the moment feels road worn, your course is gently adjusted, aiming you towards another moment of relief. Overall, the sound is a bit bland, but perhaps that's by design. The intent and execution line up here. Enjoyable experience!

I went into this thinking I knew nothing about any of it, come to find out I recognized a handful of tracks from 90s movies (Go, 10 Things I Hate About You). I left thinking that maybe I did have this album, or at least a few of the songs, in rotation at some point. This album came up at the perfect time today! I was in the mood to listen to something chill and interesting, but not distracting. Bingo bango, boys. Bonus points because it unearthed a long lost song, "You Make It Easy", that I loved in high school and had completely forgotten about!

This sounds to sweet and fresh to me, it always makes me feel recharged.
