As someone who doesn't ever listen to live albums, this was surprisingly good. Favorites include Chain Gang and Twistin' the Night Away
Not my favorite type of music personally. Smackwater Jack, which was noticeably uptempo compared to the rest of the album, was my favorite here. Way over Yonder wasn't bad either but otherwise just not for me
Just not my genre; I recognize the importance the album had but to me it just sounds like the same song over and over again; barely sounds like singing
Not bad, definitely a very long album to try to listen to in one day. Pretty enjoyable to have on in the background sometimes but otherwise I don't see myself listening to this very often if at all
album cover is iconic but the music is not
Rather disappointing for my 100th album
One of the best albums I’ve listened to yet for sure. There is just so much funk, especially in A Gospel, one of my favorites. Really wish I had known about this album sooner.
Bad
Wonderwall is one of my favorite songs ever so this album automatically gets 5 stars
Still don't like rap
Better than rap I guess
I'm getting really tired of albums that sound like white noise for an hour
El primer albumen que tuve en espanol. Era muy pegajoso y relajante.
This one was enjoyable to listen to! Love the Trois Gymnopedies covers at the beginning and end. Some songs definitely felt more jazzy compared to others which was a nice dichotomy.
With an album name like this I was not expecting to enjoy it as much as I did, really soothing. Album cover is sick too
Not as iconic as what’s the story but still has some good ones
The first two songs are really great but the album takes a little bit of a dip after that. Was initially considering giving 5 stars
I very much like the old country sounding albums, although this one didn’t have quite enough bangers to justify a 4 star
Yea I’m just not a huge fan of Dylan’s singing style
I appreciate the creativity with this album but honestly most of the songs sound like 30 second loops that last for 6 minutes for some reason
Giving a 3.5/5 in spirit cause it was generally pretty nice to listen to. The sax solo in Marine Boy goes absolutely insane
This is that white noise type of album that I find really boring. A couple of decent ones but not enough to make this album memorable in any way unfortunately
Feel like I should be rating this album higher but it's just not that memorable to me. I can only think of one song that felt really distinct and enjoyable to listen to. Hopefully there's another Arctic Monkeys album later that can redeem themselves to me.
This album is a good example of why I don't like to look at the top songs before I listen to them. I liked the Great Curve the most and then found out that Once in a Lifetime is basically the most popular TH song of all time, which I definitely didn't enjoy as much
A bit too mellow of an album for me, especially considering that it’s Springsteen. There are a few good ones in here though
This album definitely has a lot of soul eh? Waka waka!
This one wasn’t terrible, a couple of the songs were bangers
Really soothing actually. Never heard of this band but was not unpleasant to listen to.
A lot of the songs felt way too similar to be super enjoyable. Also not sure why so many bands I’ve never heard of with generic rock music are ok this list
Nice soothing album to listen to on my birthday. Funny that I’ve never heard of Nick Drake and I get two of his albums in a two week span
Just a Rascal is fire but the rest are really mid. Still don’t like hip hop
Not terrible for a hip-hop album but it’s still hip-hop. Talk to me when the album has Forget You
I’ve definitely heard some more memorable folk albums during this project, but there were still a good one or two in here
I liked this one more than the first Doves album. Most of these were genuinely enjoyable to listen to which is all you can really ask for from this project
Melody was generally pretty pleasant but it was just difficult to get into given the language barrier
Sounded too much like that generic rock white noise unfortunately
I can see why people like Johnny Cash so much. His voice is great and his songs have a lot of emotion. Excited to hear more of his albums!
This album started off strong but unfortunately because a lot of the songs sound the same they all started to blend together toward the end. Gonna be difficult to be memorable when that’s the case
First Pearl Jam album - wonder if there’s even any more in here cause it seems like all their most popular songs were in this one. Regardless, don’t think I’m a huge fan of them.
This was a great album, although not quite sure it should be considered one of the greatest of all time. Just didn’t differentiate itself enough from an average rock album for me to think that
Rather anticlimactic to celebrate listening to a years worth of albums. Wasn’t the worst thing I could have gotten though I guess. Timberlake has a nice voice
Honestly expected more chaos from a KISS album. Detroit Rock City is good but everything after that just kind of misses the mark for me. Still liked the general sound though so I’ll give it a 3
Funny that I get 2 out of 3 Hendrix albums in this project so close together. Wonder if I’ll get the third one within the next week or so. Strangely, I think I liked the overall vibe of this one more than Are You Experienced
For someone who’s listened very little to Bob Marley this album sounded exactly how I expected a Bob Marley album to sound
This album was a bit too mellow for me without being super pleasant to listen to. I feel like Johnny Cash has a better blend there but I know Nelson probably isn’t going for the same thing
Usually not a fan of shoegaze but this one was pretty good
Pretty great album. Having Every Breath You Take kind of made it instant S Tier even if some of the other songs are mid
This album is so goated. Literally every song except Most of Us are Sad were absolute bangers. Makes me super excited for the Eagles concert I’m going to
After listening to this album I’m convinced that Eurythmics was some random experimental band that accidentally made one of the best songs of the 80s. Sweet Dreams is the only thing saving this album from a 2
Not a ton of notes here, just a pretty good blues rock album
Definitely one of the best hip hop albums I’ve heard so far. The Magic Number and Me Myself and I are both bangers. After thinking about it I’m giving this album a 5 because hip hop may not get another chance from me
The Girl From Impenada is iconic and I love the copious amount of sax in this album so I’m inclined to give this one a pretty good rating
Bro what is this crazy album. If I get to the end of this project and there’s a bunch of great albums missing I’m going to be so confused as to how ones like this made it in over them
Thought it was gonna be just another hip hop album but it ended up being pretty good
Good album - somewhat ethereal sounding at times and it’s impressive to be able to do that without just sounding like white noise
Unfortunately as soon as I said yesterday’s album didn’t sound like white noise I got this one that does. Just now finding out that Shoegaze is basically the white noise genre to me so yea not a fan
Not bad, some of the songs sounded wildly different from others but what did you expect from an album like this
Not a huge fan of the Pixies, although there were a couple decent ones. The whole bit at the end of Oh my Golly was funny
Most of this album just didn’t hook me that much although there were a few good ones. Not enough to justify more than 2 stars unfortunately
Nah this one is just all over the place and has that classic white noise rock feel
This feels like the first proper EDM album I’ve gotten the whole time which is pretty crazy. The cover is also very reminiscent of crab rave. Album is ok overall but Firestarter is a banger
Totally judged the book by its cover on this one. Album was way better and more calming than I thought it would be
Probably the least good Elvis album I’ve gotten so far but it’s still Elvis
Some all timers on this album for sure…great sounding rock
Yea this one didn’t really hook me that much. It doesn’t feel like the more traditional country I really enjoy
Half of this album feels less like music and more like futuristic noises but I’m not saying I hate it
Dreamer is a good song but otherwise this album is pretty underwhelming - some of the songs sound a bit ethereal but not really in a way I’d expect for an album like this
I’ve never heard of this Jethro Tull guy before but this wasn’t a bad album. I don’t know why there’s a 15 minute interview as a bonus track included though
Very stereotypical 80s pop album but I liked it. There were some great ones in here like Never Let Me Down Again and Sacred
2 hours of peak bluegrass? Absolute audio
