Reviews (page 7 of 16)

Mostly solid, the slower songs weren’t as punchy and the “oh, daddy” song really should have been left on the cutting room floor. B side at best on that one. 4.5/5 *

Well, as worried as I am for 2025 as a whole, I can at least rest knowing that I'll be able to listen to some more amazing albums this year. Case in point, my first album of 2025, Rumours. Fleetwood Mac's 11th album is one of those albums that has garnered a reputation as being among the best of the best. There aren't very many albums out there with a reputation like Rumours. I mean, it's literally the highest rated album on this very website as I'm writing this, with Abbey Road at a very close second place. Is this warranted? It absolutely is. Rumours may just be one of the greatest albums I've ever heard. There was a lot of hardship during the making of this album. Between the relationship struggles between band mates, the pressure to make their best album yet, and a heaping dose of the 70s rock staple that is cocaine, Fleetwood Mac was not a very stable band during the process of making Rumours (when have they ever been stable though?). And yet, they made a masterpiece. The singing from Lindsey Buckingham, Christine McVie, and Stevie Nicks is always excellent. The instrumentation here is so finely-crafted to be as wonderful as possible and it works. Apparently the guitar strings for one of the songs were swapped out every 20 minutes so the song could sound as good as possible. That's insane. The songwriting is great too. There's a common theme of relationships, which makes sense seeing as the band was struggling a lot in regard to their romantic relationships. However, not every song is sad. Songs like "Don't Stop" are actually quite positive. And of course, we have to talk about the songs themselves. There's not a bad one in the bunch. They're all amazing. Obviously, the big hits like "Dreams," "Go Your Own Way," and "The Chain" are some of the best songs I've heard, but the deep cuts here are still great. The fact that a song like "I Don't Want to Know" is one of the less popular songs on the album speaks to how consistently excellent this album is. I don't know what to say. Rumours lived up to the expectations. I get it. There's so much more I could say, but I don't even think it matters. The album speaks for itself. It is a masterpiece, through and through. 5/5.

Own this. Love it.

The album which defines the 1970s. Superlative.

One of the best albums in this list.

5+ stars. A classic whose music is only surpassed by what was going on behind the scenes.

Hit after hit after hit after hit. Unbelievable album

The best!!!

One of my favourite Fleetwood Mac albums. They’re also my comfort songs

I’ve already heard Tusk on this journey, and going back to the album prior fits like a glove. Before I dive deep into Rumours, I will acknowledge that this album has been considered overrated by some people, and not everyone carries the same enthusiasm for the heartland rock style of Fleetwood Mac. After all, art is subjective, and therefore opinions are going to be different amongst everyone. This is from my perspective why I consider Rumours is an amazing album, and more than justifies its placement on this list. For starters, much like with David Bowie’s Station to Station which I covered earlier, this is an album that works in spite of the trouble brewing behind the scenes. Every band member in Fleetwood Mac was going through heartbreak at the time, in addition to extensive touring, extensive cocaine usage, tabloid interruptions, and the drive to follow up their successful self-titled album. Yet despite those mounting issues, the band were able to come together and craft an album that maintains strong instrumentation, vocal presence, and production quality. In some cases, the band went above and beyond, such as Lindsey Buckingham changing his guitar strings every twenty minutes to maintain a bright acoustic sound on “Never Going Back Again”, or the layering of clean and distorted guitars for a fuller experience on “Go Your Own Way”, or even the audio splicing of several tapes together to create “The Chain”. Also even though the relationship drama was touched upon in some songs like “The Chain”, “Dreams”, and “Go Your Own Way”, as well as the drug usage on “Gold Dust Woman”, there are also a number of tracks that take a more optimistic outlook. This sentimentality is apparent in “Don’t Stop” and “You Make Loving Fun”, but it also carries into Christine McVie’s solo piece “Songbird” about the sacrifices one makes in the pursuit of love, and “I Don’t Want to Know” with the prospect of reconciling one another after going through a rough patch. Even the pair of “Dreams” and “Go Your Own Way” maintain a more positive-leaning sense of moving on after a relationship is over. That is all to say why I personally enjoy Rumours and why I accept this album in its legendary status. To each their own, but I can come to understand why this one is well-regarded. Finally as a side-note, I can't believe it took me over a decade and a half to notice the pair of balls dangling from Mick Fleetwood's pants. Thank you to the person who wrote the top comment at the time of writing for pointing that out.

Nonstop bangers. Borderline a greatest hits album. I particularly love Oh Daddy, had never heard that one before and it was lovely.

There's a reason this is one of the top five albums of all time. It has it critiques and the sound can be slightly dated (especially on You Make Loving Fun), but if a group of people that went from screwing each other, to hating each other and STILL put out this masterpiece, every musician since has been doing it wrong if they weren't doing it this way. 5/5

Fantastic

Masterpiece of an album. My favorite was "Songbird". 10/10.

I thought I’d never listened to this album Turns out I already knew every song on here Turns out I absolutely love at least 6 songs on here A classic for a reason

Overplayed? Probably, but damn!

Absolute solid gold classic 5. Massive fan of Lindsey Buckingham in this era currently. Will take the opportunity to say I wish I could edit my scores and give Tusk a 5 also.

Hated it

Just bonkers how good this album is. Every other artist would kill to have 1 timeless track on an album, maybe even 2 if they're really lucky, but here Fleetwood Mac has like 7 of them, and the other 4 are also incredible tracks. One of the easiest 5s in this whole list, no wonder it's topping the highest rated list

A truly phenomenal album from front to back. This is such a folky rock album full of rich harmonies and intricate melodies. On top of that, the songs are fun to listen to, but contemplative at the same time. It really feels like an evergreen album that you can find something new in every time you hear it.

I mean what can you say about this. era defining. the longevity of this album is crazy. it’s funny how biased I am towards the stevie and christine songs. don’t stop is almost a skip for me these days. also probably cheating but I did listen to the reissue with silver springs. 5/5 because I love divorce, polycules, and substance abuse

A classic, so much fun to revisit. One of my favorite Fleetwood Mac albums.

I wish I could listen to this album again for the first time. Literally shed a tear to the go your own way guitar solo this morning.

跟beatles好像好像好像 好爽

Already listened a million times before!

Phenomenal all the way through. Not much else to say except it's wonderful.

Favorite Fleetwood Mac album.

I mean, it's Rumours.

Probably the album I’ve listened to more times than any other. Pretty much perfect. And I still hear the scratch in Songbird that our LP copy has, but I haven’t played it in about 25 years.

I honestly tried to listen to this fairly, to take it on its own merits, but when you're singing along to every word of an album you be listened to for the past thirty minutesears, it's hard to be objective... What can you say? It's Rumours, it's always been great and always will be, and it's getting this five star rating fully deservedly. Faves: Go Your Own Way, Second Hand News, Dreams

one of my favourite albums of all times, what more can i say, no notes 10/10 perfect, the best diss track compilation ever, thank god for giving us all these drama induced bangers

I knew it was a banger but didn't appreciate how many big singles and tracks were just on this album.

timeless classic. still going strong. flawless.

could i write poetry to this? n and still

Fleetwood Mac suffered for their own sins to create this perfect Pop album. An unmatched chronicle of the breakups, both personal and professional, that would define them for nearly half a century.

I've heard them all a million times. Don't really need to hear most of this ever again, but it's still really good.

S tier album. Nothing bad to say. No skips.

I already know how good this album is!

This is an amazing album full of great song after great song as well as many "hits". This is an all time great album. I was excited to ahve this one pop up.

Damn near perfect. Beautiful guitar and vocals. Big fan of this one.

Folksy rock. This might be, pound for pound, the greatest album of all time. Just hit after hit. Even the worst song on this album could be the best song on lesser albums.

Love it! So fun

There were some groups that I acquired every note they ever produced because I enjoyed them that much - Fleetwood Mac was NOT one of those groups. That said, there’s no denying the greatness of this album. It’s a moment in time, and yet timeless.

Again, I know all the songs but never really listened. Streaming doesn't do these albums any favors. There is an arc that is built on each side. And I can't figure out if songbird as the end on side a or the start of the b side. And I feel like the meaning would change depending. Amazing vocals.

Yeah it’s a masterpiece

I've been listening to this album since it came out. In the 70s all of us and our cousins had this album. After all these years, it is still a masterclass in song writing, mood and saying more with less. This is one of the best. 5/5

So many great songs on here. I'll admit a little bias for Stevie Nicks, I generally like her songs better than the other band members' compositions. However even the other tracks are very good, it's just a wonderful 70s rock album.

Puro banger

Fantastic album, hit after hit. Flows well with lots of variety.

I see that this is the highest rated album here, and part of me really wanted to just give it a 4. But, upon listening to it once again, it has to be a 5. They really set out to make an all-killer-no-filler album, and while not every song on it is perfect (Christine McVie's songs in particular don't do it for me as much), the sum of the album really is greater than its parts. It sounds like classic rock's swan song, and it's honestly glorious. Fav tracks: Dreams, Don't Stop, Go Your Own Way, The Chain, Gold Dust Woman

Every song (with maybe 2 exceptions) is pop gold. But none of it is pop. The best art is often forged in personal pain and social adversity.

Wouldn't even need to listen to say 5* But this album is a pleasure to return to. Lindsey Buckingham is a brilliant musician and anyone who has tried to learn Never Going Back Again knows the genius of his playing. Vocals are awesome. Absolutely love it, and it rightly deserves all the praise it gets. I think they may have done some drugs and had a few affairs but not sure if they mentioned it.

Absolute classic,

No skips album!!

What is there to say that hasn't already been said? Every song a bona fide classic.

Perfect. I’m surprised it’s the highest rated album out of the 1001 but it’s certainly an all time classic. I’m lucky enough to have it on vinyl too :)

Love it. Super album for anyone

One of the all time great albums

I feel legally obligated to throw this a 5

For how little familiarity I have of almost any other Fleetwood Mac album, its crazy to me that almost every single song I knew by them prior to listening to this ended up being on the album. Writing is great and very personable, and the variety of styles makes the album very fun to listen to. Favorites were The Shain, Don't Stop, Dreams, and You Make Loving Fun

I mean yeah this is really great. We all know that already. Love the guitar solo on The Chain

Great album, dreams is a beautiful song

I didn't /have/ to listen to this album again to know it's great. But I did.

I have been waiting for this album ever since I started this project, and about three years later: here we go. This album not only consists of a straight row of hit after hit but also is so recognizable and incredible. This is the exact representation of an album that should be on this list with no complaints. Whether you like this album or not there is no denying the influence that this album had and continues to have on the music world.

Really good

Classic

Hall of Fame.

# Album Name: Rumous # Artist: Fleetwood Mac # Rating: 5/5 # Comments: Absolute banger. Top to bottom, left to right. Quality album. 5* # Top Tunes: The whole thing # Would I listen to it again? fuck yeah

HEERLIJK!

Kan niet anders dan 5 sterren Beloofd aan mn ma

This album takes me back to being a child in the 70's. It felt like every track was played on the radio fairly frequently. It's one of those albums where every track is well-known and well-regarded in it's own right. You can't fault it really, and when you discover the turmoil that was happening between the band members when producing this it is even more impressive.

Classic. Nearly every song is hit.

It’s a classic through and through with a story that elevates it. Immensely enjoyable and a top 20 album in my life.

All bangers

Best album ever

As brilliant as it was on the day it was released.

One of the best albums I've ever heard. I get the hype now. 5/5

A total masterpiece that sounds very modern still. The best album ever written about rupture.

This twinkles! The piano trills, that guitar whine emerging from the last verse on many of the track, subtle organ pedaling under the mix, little flourishes that turn these familiar personal anthems into textured glitter bombs shimmering under the light of retrospection. Unfortunate that this album has probably sold me a car.

One of the best albums of all time. Nothing more to add

Nearly every song on this album still plays on the radio. Teenagers still listen to this album. It may be one of the greatest albums ever created. The production is impeccable, songs wonderful, and a bit of band tension adds a little bit of bite. This was Fleetwood Macs magnus opus and one of the best albums of the 1970s, perhaps of all time. When it first came out, I ignored it. I was into punk rock and Rumours was anything but punk. When I heard Stevie Nicks singing Gold Dust Woman, however, my teenage self was enthralled. Enthralled is the polite word. My sister gave me a copy of the album and I've had it ever since. It is simply a marvelous time capsule while still timeless.

The production alone deserves 5 stars.

Do I even have to explain anything about this stone cold classic?

I mean, one of the absolute greats, hands down. No more that needs saying.

One of the greatest albums of all time.

I mean come on

Scorned people singing about the people that scorned them and/or the people that assisted with the scorning + some coke made some beautiful music. Justice for Silver Springs forever though, we are scorned for that being withheld from the original release

Truly a near perfect album. Bangers left and right

When I discovered the 1001 Albums Generator, this was the first album to come to mind. I've been on the record, having nominated (declared) The Chain (later modified to all of "Rumours") for the GOAT List in 2017.

Rumours is the seventh album from Fleetwood Mac. It is thought to be their best work, and is considered to be one of the greatest albums in modern popular music. The band explored a range of styles, with some electric and acoustic songs, and impressive harmonies throughout. The band was in a tumultuous period, involving the break-ups of romantic relationships between members, and excessive drug use. Their personal challenges provided incredible inspiration for these very memorable songs. The album in includes some of the band's biggest songs, like "Go Your Own Way," "Dreams," and "Don't Stop." On this note, this list could include every song on this album. Every song on this album has become transcendent and ubiquitous; everyone has heard these songs because this album bears repeating, over and over again. This is as good of a collection of songs as you may ever find on an album, written and performed by a band at its very best.

Absolutely fantastic

One if the greatest albums.

Yes! Rumours! What a timeless, classic album. How can you not love this album?

A classic album. One of the best. It's amazing that they managed to actually record it with all that was going on.

One of the reasons for joining this club was to stop me only listening to Fleetwood Mac so it was always going to be five stars from me. I’ve tried really hard to listen with fresh ears and I’m struck by just how incredible they are as musicians. The percussion blends beautifully and there is often a lot technically going on. I do think it should start on the Chain. I’m not a huge fan of ‘don’t stop’ and I cannot get on board with calling your lover ‘daddy’. Gold dust woman and you make lovin are excellent songs.

Pretty much a perfect album, with each song completely distinct but also part of a very cohesive whole. So much more melodic, personal and interesting than any of their big-haired, classic rock counterparts (probably not a coincidence they're one of the few bands of that era to feature women). An album with subtle hints of great talent, rather than being bogged down in unnecessary guitar/keyboard theatrics. The focus here is the song, not any individual. Radcliffe and Maconie have ruined The Chain for me though.

Is it possible to say anything about this album that hasn’t been said already. It’s considered to be one of the greatest albums of all time for good reason. Favourite tracks: Dreams, Go Your Own Way, The Chain, Gold Rush Woman but like let’s be honest it’s all of them.

Can I say anything about this album which hasn't been said dozens of times before? Yes, This album is infinitely more enjoyable than Donald Trump performing Nessum Dorma on his armpit.. OK. It's an awesome album. Familiarity might have dulled the enjoyment slightly, but there's a reason that this is so revered after 40+ years. The writing, playing, vocals and production are exemplary. An easy five stars.

5/5 literally one of the best albums in the universe

A 5 star experience from start to finish

Absolute banger. Loved every song.

Even if you've never listened to this album on purpose, you probably know every song.

If you'd asked me an hour ago to name a single Fleetwood Mac song, I'd have struggled. I'd heard of them, but that was it. The first track didn't really inspire much confidence and I thought the album was going to be a real slog. But, to my surprise a) I know a bunch of the songs and b) it's a completely killer album. I'm listening to it a second time through right now. It makes me happy.

Perfect. No notes.

Very nice.

Super underground indie hit

My #3 all timer 10 ★★★★★

Near perfect album with great production, great songwriting, and tremendous musicianship. Highlights include "Second Hand News", "Never Going Back Again", "Go Your Own Way", "Dreams", and "I Don't Want to Know". If only they could've made room for "Silver Springs". Still a classic. 5 stars

Can't fault this album, every song is a classic. 5.

One of the best EVER!!

It’s Rumours, this is probably one of my top albums ever.

Fleetwood Mac is so good, this album is so good, in fact they have so many good songs that not even all of them fit on this album (still, "Silver Springs" should never have been cut from it). It's amazing they managed to create something so brilliant amongst so much friction. Buckingham is a dick, Stevie is a diva, a love triangle, couple squabbles, divorce, drugs, and addiction. Imagine the level of tension in the studio, now go and create this. The internal battle of two powerful egos eventually won but the music lives on forever. Pretty epic, easily a 4.8 or better.

one of the best albums of all time.

One of the best albums ever.

Yeah this is good. Perhaps not quite as good as having cocaine blown up your arsehole, but good nonetheless.

A true classic. 5 all day long. Stevie Nicks vocals are timeless and this album has to be in any collection. Shows what copious amounts of drugs and hatred can create. Brilliant

Abigail Devoe doesn't like RUMOURS, and that helped me understand why I like it and so many others love it. Now, to be clear, Abby likes the **songs** on RUMOURS. She could point out a number of those to you, from the opener "Second Hands News" to the closer "Gold Dust Woman". Her problem with the album lies in the way it's produced. Lindsay Buckingham's goal with RUMOURS was to produce a perfect pop album, and he went far out of his way to do it. Just check out the anecdote about how he had his guitar strings changed three times every hour while recording "Never Going Back Again" so they'd retain their brightness. And to Abby, this method of production devalues the material — as she puts it, it's "manufactured magic." She prefers a break-up album like this to be way grittier, rawer, looser — see BLOOD ON THE TRACKS or BLUE. In other words, a more subtle genius that confronts the audience with its emotions, rather than pave over it with a layer of pop polish. If things were more like "Gold Dust Woman" or the outro of "The Chain"... Of course, that's all a fair and valid opinion. I won't even say I disagree with her, and I very much recommend you seek out that video to hear her opinions from her own mouth. However, I find myself much more siding with a comment I saw below the video that stated that, yeah, no, it **is** this album's production that made it as beloved as it is. The emotional heft would've always been there. The cacophony of three or so voices all yelling over top of each other to try and convince you that "No, **that person** is the asshole." It still would have struck a chord with people — I mean, hell, BLOOD ON THE TRACKS and BLUE are both top 10 albums on the 2020 Rolling Stone 500, right alongside RUMOURS, for as much as that's worth. At the very least, it shows that rawer emotions can absolutely hit it off with people. But neither of them had a song resurge on TikTok like "Dreams" did. N', heck, look at this very website: RUMOURS has the second-highest average, beaten only by ABBEY ROAD. From what I've read, it even used to be **number one**. And if I can attribute any one specific reason to why that is, it's that production makes it go down easier. To be 100, I'll recognize, maybe I'm just speaking through my own "melody first" likes and preferences for production. I do often find myself gravitating towards stuff with a lot of production. There's no orchestra or anything, but I eat that kinda shit up. Especially if it can make the music feel "grand" or "huge" or "epic." And I wouldn't say any of those three descriptors necessarily apply to RUMOURS, but look at "Never Going Back Again". Lindsay's insistence on replacing the strings as often as they were paid off. It ends up one of my favorite songs on the entire album **because** the strings are as bright as they are. It adds a level of beauty to the song that wouldn't have been there if it'd been any gritter. Or look at "Dreams" — it might not have resurged the way it did if it wasn't as laid-back and, for lack of a better word, dreamy as it is. It's that perfection, too, that I think helps a lot of the looser moments stand out. "Go Your Own Way" and especially "The Chain" wouldn't go as hard as they do if the songs around them weren't as shiny as they are. And you really do have to be in awe at the fact that this album was even released at all. Not just because the tapes it was recorded on were apparently run so thin the risk was run of having the whole thing tossed out, but... Y'know, the band turmoil. Of course the band turmoil. Everyone knows the band turmoil; it's **the thing** it's known for. But seriously, you hafta admire the fact that even though these people were going through such a rough and bitter break-up, they were still able to devote themselves to the music — even if they were playing on songs about how much of a jerk the other person thought they were. That's commitment right there. This has all made me appreciate and like RUMOURS more than I had before. I **had** liked it; I'd just never really gotten the hype around it. Again, just four years ago it was named a top 10 album on the Rolling Stone 500. To my eyes, even knowing it's just a list among lists, that's not nothing. And maybe some of it was resentment at TikTok, 'coz I've never liked that platform, so, of course, anything **it** popularizes... And, well, even now, I'm not gonna say this new listen-through and this new understanding has suddenly made it a top 10 album for me. There's other albums, in and outside of this website's top 10, that for one reason or another I'd place over RUMOURS. I will still agree with its reputation of greatness, though, of course. For all the hardship the band went through to make this album, and given what they produced, I don't think it deserves much less than a 5 — a 4, at worst. It's just the right combination of emotional weight and perfect pop polish. Which, for the last time, I get why the latter fact would turn people away from this album. Abby's just as right in **not being** a fan of it as anyone else is for **being** a fan. We can all go our own way about it. For my money, though, it deserves all of the acclaim and success it's gotten. It's one of the best albums of the 70's, and I won't be surprised at all if future generations keep that chain of praise unbroken.

Simply just an immaculate set of tracks, top to bottom. The easiest 5 I can give, no doubt about it.

You know, this is my first time actually listening to this album in full. Trust me, I was aware of a few of the songs, and I know where this lands in the pantheon of music – this album is to Fleetwood Mac what Thriller was for MJ, Abbey Road for the Beatles, and Nevermind for Nirvana. It’s that big timeless record that will live on forever; its lyricism, production, vocals, and overall creation studied for years and decades to come, in this case, made more potent by just how heavily the band itself was imploding and hurting while making this. I know all of that. I just didn’t know what I would end up thinking after listening through it. After finally listening through it, I’m at a 10. Hell, I might be at like, a 15. I might just be overreacting a little while I'm in the moment, but… man, it is exactly that album. It feels like more than that. It feels like whatever I type here will echo whatever people have written for the past 47 years about this album. I don’t know that I can add anything to the praise, and I certainly don’t want to add anything to the discourse. I keep mentioning this metaphor about thinking of music as art in the classical sense. It’s what I tend to fall back on when my brain is struggling to find the words to praise the compositions on, or the lyrics, or the vocals, or any part of the actual production. When an album has been this good, or touched me this deeply, I lean on it to help me find the words to say. This album isn’t the Mona Lisa, even though it deserves every bit of praise and acclaim. This album feels like a timelapse of a rage room, captured in slow motion – one where you can appreciate its finest details while recognizing the pain, loss, hurt, hatred, anger, and attempted solace of the whole thing. It’s beautiful in just how raw it feels. It’s beautiful in how relatable it feels. It’s beautiful in just how human it is. I do have to add some level of objectivity and critique here, and the only knock I could really have is that Tracks 1 and 3 feel rather out of place -- they are sort of left behind under the weight of "Dreams" and everything from Track 4 onwards. They're good tracks, and this album would be sort of incomplete without their presence. They just don't click as well with the rest of the album as a whole. Anyway, I would truly love to wax poetic about the moments of bliss I felt during Stevie Nicks or Christine McVie’s finest vocal moments, or the pure catharsis of some utterly pained lines, or the instrumentals hitting arguably the climax of 70s rock as a whole, or all 3 of those things somehow happening at the same time to leave me speechless… but like I said, someone else has probably said it better than I ever could. I can’t believe it took me this long to finally listen to it. It’s that damn good. It lived up to every single line of praise that’s ever been written about any individual track here, or the album as a whole. It’s a very easy 10, and it’s probably my new favorite album throughout this entire thing. How the hell do you follow this up?

I mean automatic 5. Greatest album ever made.

What can I say that hasn't already been said about this album? It's such a great album and it made me a Stevie Nicks fan.

i knew this is a 5/5 before listening. favorite song is the rope for sure!

The rare classic album where the famous songs still sound amazing, and where I might actually prefer some of the deep cuts to the singles. Makes you grateful for the existence of divorce and cocaine.

Considering how famous and well-received it was, I didn't know much about this album. But it does deserve all the praise.

Believe the hype

One of my favourite albums - love this

I grew up listening to some of these songs, so sometimes it's hard to realize that an actual human wrote songs like Dreams or The Chain. It feels like they must have been handed down from a mountain top.

Peak 70's rock. God bless cocaine and sex. Top 3 Fav: Dreams, You Make Loving Fun, and I Don't Want To Know No misses 4.75/5

Best of the best

One of the best albums, one of my favourite bands. Joyful opening. Just beautiful. Playful. So many bangers. A perfect pop-rock album.

Classic! Essential!

I know the chain bass riff on guitar 5 stars

So crazy that this groundbreaking album came so late in their productive career.

This is definitely one of those iconic albums. Great songs, really great listen.

Bestes Album eva

10/10 brilliant album, a firm favourite

Perfection

Nejslavnější hádka v podobě alba. Funguje jako celek. Stále nejlepší skladba - The Chain.

So good!

Hard to believe all these songs made it onto one album. Each one is individually incredible.

People talk shit about Taylor Swift writing about her relationships but Rumors is flat out biopic when it comes to lies love loss and infidelity. Impeccable album, certainly one of the best of all time.

Easy 5 stars. Classic album, front to back. They were so damn good.

I'm not sure I'd ever listened to the whole of this album before. It's obviously very good. Plenty of big hits, but it's also nice to see that even the lesser known tracks are very good, and doing all sorts of interesting things musically. I really liked the softer delicate tracks in here that I hadn't heard before. The songwriting, structure and musicality is really solid across the board, and they do plenty of interesting things. I really like the vocal harmonies in there. And of course some of these tracks are immense, particularly Go Your Own Way and The Chain. Good going, Fleetwood Mac. 4.5 rounded up

Theres a reason it’s legendary. I listened to the dolby atmos mix and this thing sounds like it was made yesterday. Nothing but bangers.

Best breakup album ever?

A really surprising album considering my prior nonexistent exposure to Fleetwood Mac. I didn't expect this album to rock as much as it did, on top of having the slower ballads I expected. The album kept me engaged throughout its runtime and did not overstay any welcomes. An excellent and well rounded record. Top tracks: Dreams, Don't Stop, The Chain

4.5/5 Fantastic songwriting and clean, polished performances make up this classic album. The high points are amazing, but perhaps too few and far between to make this a truly exceptional record. Second Hand News 4.5/5 Dreams 3.5/5 Never Going Back Again 3.5/5 (LEAST FAV) Don't Stop 5/5 Go Your Own Way 5/5 Songbird 4/5 The Chain 5/5 You Make Loving Fun 5/5 (FAV) I Don't Want to Know 4.5/5 Oh Daddy 3.5/5 Gold Dust Woman 4/5

I bought this album on CD when I was 17 years old, having had it recommended to me by Total Guitar magazine as one of the "best guitar albums of all time". I felt conned out of £11.99; after a steady diet of AC/DC and Metallica this felt like pathetic and dreary soft rock. When I re-listened to this in my twenties I grew to really like many of the songs on it. Now I'm approaching my 40s, my body is genetically predisposed to love it in its entirety. The only dud is Oh Daddy which I will typically skip. Perhaps I will take guerrilla action here and create my own playlist of this album with Silver Springs in its place, which should always have been included here. This is a very very high 5 star rating. (I feel bad now I ranked some other 'good but not amazing' albums as high as they are).

5/5 for this absolute classic.

I may have listened to this album at some point all the way through, but I don’t remember because it would have been long ago. It is a great album. Lightning in a bottle good. from beginning to end. There is a reason it is a classic

Such a good album. Left no crumbs. No notes.

This is the best album on the list so far for me. Had never listened to it, but knew half the songs and the other songs were all very good too. Stevie Nicks has a great voice and the music is timeless. Flawless.

I love Fleetwood Mac. So many incredible songs on this album.

Fair enough. Never really given this album the time of the day, presuming it wouldn't be my thing, but I can say that, despite being correct it's not entirely my thing, the album is virtually flawless. Stevie's voice is astounding, the instrumentation absolutely sublime, the lyrics, the tempo, the lot of it. Oh Daddy the only non stellar point on the album, but I like to think times have changed since then and the lyrics were poignant at the time. A rare but well received previously 'unknown' 5*

A classic.

Okay, Macky-Mac and the Fleetwood Bunch, you got me. This is a pretty good album. Although one or two songs are meh. Is this album the pinnacle of That Kind Of Thing? That solo bass lick near the end of The Chain might be the best solo bass lick ever.

I’d like to play it cool and be like, meh. I mean there’s so so many great albums that came out in this, the year of my birth. But I can’t deny how good this really is. Also I grew up hearing this album constantly so it’s ingrained in me to love it.

Fine. I’ve 180ed on this band in the past year or two. I used to not like them, but then the vinyl of this album entered our collection and I listened to it a few months ago and was like “Well, damn.” I begrudgingly give this five stars. But on the LOWER end of the five star spectrum, don’t get me wrong. Fuck Fleetwood Mac.

Love this album!

Dreams Don't Stop Go Your Own Way The Chain You Make Loving Fun Gold Dust Woman

You better put your kingdom up for sale.

Love it. Relaxing. Dreamy. Not an album that has me following the story everytime, but one that always carries me through to the end. Very consistent sound, without repetition. Love every track.

Basically perfect. No notes.

Great songs from a great band. Not all are great but enough to deserve its 5 stars.

"Won't you lay me down in the tall grass / And let me do my stuff?" Rumours is the first album I've had come up here where I already knew the album, and it's also the first album I'm rating a 5. It's densely packed with great songs and enduring hits - a real embarrassment of riches. Genre-wise it sits outside my wheelhouse, but the material completely overcomes that. "Second Hand News," "Dreams," "The Chain," and "Gold Dust Woman" are my favorites.

One of the best albums to ever be released. 10/10

An all time great album. Multiple mega hits that have fully stood the test of time.

Goat icon activated 🐐

One of my favorites of all time.

One of those rare perfect albums. I wish there was a rating above 5.

What is this? Never heard of this band before! Never seen this cover with this weird man dangling his balls and some lady majestically dancing around him. Which one is Mac? In all seriousness, this album definitely deserves to be on this list. Hell, I have two copies of this album on vinyl from 1977. And it has stood the test of time by returning to the Billboard charts over 40 years after it was released because some guy on the internet decided to drink some cran-grape while skateboarding to this song. There is something magical about this album. Maybe it is the controversy behind all the relationships in the band or maybe it's just the music itself, but it isn't going anywhere. It has ingrained itself in global society and could be around for the next 100 years or more.

Bangers! Bangers! More bangers!

Such a great album. Have always loved the rhythm section of FM, the muscle and swing of John McVie’s bass and Mick Fleetwood’s drums — The Chain is a good example of this. Lindsey Buckingham is a great and underrated guitarist, as well as an great arranger. This is a slightly better album than its predecessor (“Fleetwood Mac” s/t), primarily due to better songs from Buckingham and Christine McVie. My least favorite of their 3 main songwriters, Stevie Nicks, had better songs on the other album (Rhiannon and Landslide). These two albums were so popular during my college days at ISU and ubiquitous at parties and coming from dorm rooms. Everybody owned them. I saw them live at a somewhat smallish venue in September 1975 at ISU, playing just songs from the first album plus cuts from their pre-Buckingham/Nicks era. Checking the set list just now, I was pleased to see they did “Oh Well (pt.1)”, a great older track (Haim does a wild live version of this track — watch it on YouTube). Another great FM album is Mystery to Me, without Buckingham-Nicks, with almost all songs by Bob Welch (not in the band after 1974) and McVie. Well worth checking out.

My favorites change every listen, but this time I felt: 5/5: The Chain, Dreams, Don’t Stop 4/5: Go Your Own Way, I Don’t Want to Know, Never Going Back Again, Gold Dust Woman 3/5: You Make Loving Fun, Second Hand News 2/5: Songbird, Oh Daddy I’ll be honest. I wanted to do that to see if this was a 4 or a 5, and I don’t think that helped. It’s a very 4.5 album.

Go Your Own Way. What else to say? This gives the song a blend of major and minor feelings, creating emotional tension... E minor, but it features a modal mixture, often slipping into G major. Upbeat, open sound. I love the toms.

🥸👍

The harmonies are perfection. The musicianship is such a treat. A wonderful album with so many great songs. Have enjoyed this album for many many years.

i mean it’s iconic for a reason! love the lyrics, production, instruments and vibes of this album. i didn’t really get into fleetwood mac until college (i was a hater due to its popularity) but really like the songs and the memories associated with this album. i had such a fun time listening and even tho this is the record i will see every time (without fail) while vinyl shopping i still think it is deserving of the love and hype!!

Already knew this one of course. Amazing album, love the deep guitar towards the end of The Chain especially. Having 2 singers singing along with each other like this feels quite rare nowadays, but they work really well together

i quite like the guitar string picking while the lyric is just short and sometime repeating, love the beat that it brings

Everything is good here. No complaints Will I listen to again: 100%

DREAMSSSSSSSS YESSSSS

heck yes! stevie nicks is literally my best friend

I love this. To have two tracks that i love straight away (don't stop and go your own way) WHILE all the other songs are still pretty good is GREAT. So i will give a 9.2/10

wow, so many songs on here i recognized but had no idea were fleetwood mac. this is a well-earned top 5 album. just really good from start to finish, not to mention the clusterfuck that was going on behind the scenes. amazing! glad i finally listened to it.

incredible album. surprised by how many songs i had heard before and recognized that i had no idea were by fleet wood and the macs. honestly i have nothing new to add to this album conversation other than apologies to the haters but i think this one does live up to the hype. favorites: all of them, though i thought the weakest were songbird, i don't want to know, and oh daddy

A near perfect record, with a delightful texture, strong tonal coherence (without any sense of sameyness across the songs) and just about ideal production choices, with nary a misplaced note and nothing anywhere close to a filler song. An extraordinarily high standard is maintained on every cut – it's the quantity as much as the quality, or the balancing of same. So many classics it’s hard to believe that they’re all from one album. "Second Hand News" is a wispy little gem of an opener. "Dreams" may have seemed boring as a kid but has deep and powerful resonance today. "Go Your Own Way" retains its heat, being about as fiery as California soft rock could get, an almost perfect balance to "You Make Loving Fun." "Songbird" is lovely and the the trio that close the record – "Oh Daddy," "Gold Dust Woman" and (very worthy and wholly fitting additiion) "Siliver Spring" both raise the stakes and close the deal with great effectiveness. One's only quibble might be the "Don't Stop" is a little broad. Anyone who experienced this during formative musical years was sort of ruined for life, to think albums could be so consistently excellent. Still, today, one might have a slight preference for the weirder, wilder Tusk, which offers a broader range of emotions and styles, even accounting for the fact that it’s three solo albums in one. Among the grace notes: blazing little solo to outro the opener; the exquisitely well timed cymbal splashes on "Dreams," the bassline on "Oh Daddy." And if it took so much relationship strife and drugs to produce such excellence, so be it.

I'd never heard this one before, and I feel like I was a bit influenced by knowing it's one of the highest rated albums on here, but it's also really good, so what else can I do other than give it a 5? Favorites: "Dreams", "Go Your Own Way", "Songbird", "The Chain", "Oh Daddy", "Gold Dust Woman", "Silver Springs" (should've been on the album)

A real 1001 Album.

Wow. Just the sheer amount of fantastic music on this one album. Not a surprise that Fleetwood Mac kicks ass, surprised we added 11 tracks to the 1001 Experience Playlist.

One of the greatest albums of all time. Nothing else needs to be said.

<Superclassic album - nothing to add>

Really enjoyed this album. Of course I was familiar with most of the songs, but this was very good from start to finish.

So many qualities in one band, and they all come together here: near perfect record.

Fantastic. Lovely voice and great music. Good variety.

I’ve only known of this album by reputation, so I was super excited to see this pop up today. It’s incredible. Hit song after hit here and there’s not a skippable song here, a sign of an amazing album

Classic

Not the biggest Meetwood Flac fan, but there's no denying this one. I'll even forgive Christine for Oh Daddy 🤢. 5

Like it's even a question. 5 stars!

Few albums have this much appeal across generations. People my age and younger, especially women, are still putting this album in their top 5. I’m not just talking about classic rock fans or music enthusiasts, but casual listeners. That level of lasting reverence speaks for itself. The album itself is packed with hits. It’s smooth in its lighter songs and relentlessly driving in its more intense moments. Stevie Nicks is flawless, and the rest of the band is tight. The production is great. Theres not much to complain about here.

I am a Fleetwood Mac fan and I think this is their best album. So many great songs highlighting the talents of all the band members. The songs don't get old.

I've never been a big FM fan. I think it always sounded like Dad rock to me before there was such a thing. And I particularly found Stevie Nicks voice tiring. But I wanted to try to approach this album, which I already acknowledge is an essential classic album, with fresh ears, as I try to do for all the albums in this app. What I found was that it checks so many boxes. I had learned over the years about the mess that was FM during that time; the drugs, the incestuous sex and partner swapping. I never really took the time to consider putting this together with the music and lyrics that they made. This is a hopelessly romantic album that puts on naked display the human cost of their lifestyle. Its sound and production is impeccable. It is smooth rock at its finest. But that smoothness belies the raw emotion and powerful impact of their words and vocals. Have you ever yearned? Well even if you have only craved, this album will make you yearn. I was looking for reasons so I could just give it a 4....but no luck.

Easily in the top 10 albums of all time. Listened to it twice through.

The first five tracks represent perhaps the greatest opening run of tracks of all time. Every song on the album has its own identity, while still feeling cohesive as a whole. Every vocalist and every instrument are perfect. Production is immaculate.

favorite band

Muy visto, muy escuchado, pero un cincazo

Like a number of albums, classic rocks channels have killed this album for me. I won't pretend I'm not tired of it. If you've never heard it - it's great. It really is, but I'm not officially tired of it. Giving it five, though.

Fleetwood Mac is my mother’s favorite band, and this is her favorite album. I remember hearing it constantly, echoing in from another room; it is the background music of my early childhood. I have no way to separate this personal history from the music, so I will just say it’s a timeless classic and leave it at that. 5⭐️

One of the greatest albums of all. Of all!

Sometimes you see these videos on the internet where people react to iconic albums or songs and I always think, how is it possible any human hasn’t heard this?? Weeellllllll, that’s me with Rumors. Have I heard the hits? Of course, but I never really listened. Does it live up to being #2 on this site? (When I started it was #1) I’m not sure it does but it is fantastic. Its highlights are so unbelievably high. Dreams is a masterpiece, but for me it’s The Chain and Go Your Way, these songs will live forever. The story of the painful creation of the album definitely adds meaning to many songs you might not think twice about 9.3/10

Now we're talking! This is am/fm radio from the 1970's but it's held up so well that the kids today all know these songs. From opener "Second Hand News", to radio staples "Dreams", "Gold Dust Woman", "Don't Stop", "The Chain", "You Make Loving Fun", "Go Your Own Way" and fan favorites like "Songbird" & "Never Going Back Again", this is so chock full of songs everyone knows. I believe the only song you don't hear on the radio is "Oh, Daddy", that's 10 of 11 that get airplay. This is the most classic album I've reviewed to this point, this is a true 1001 album. Everyone should know and appreciate the creative genius, the hooks galore and the timelessness that comes with such a classic. 5 stars.

This is, without a doubt, a magnificent masterpiece of late-70s pop/rock.

Overall this is a great album back to front. If I could give half stars this would be a 4.5, but here we are rounding up

This is a desert island album for me. I listen to this probably once a month.

Perhaps the best pop rock album of all time. Nearly every song is a classic. Enjoyable from front to back, and timeless. Stevie Nicks had an amazing voice that finds its perfect match with the composition of these tracks.

1977 is an incredible year for albums, with a crowning jewel sitting at the top. Three songwriters firing off hits, but somehow all feeling like they fit together - I still remember the first time I heard the transition from Second Hand News to Dreams. Still manages to be front loaded, but with the most ridiculous run of eight tracks before it starts to lag, I might let it off. Great choice for my week off work, instant five stars without having to listen (I will listen again, and again).

Memories of freshman year in high school. Bought the album. Listened to it a lot!

An easy 5. I must have listened to this album countless times as a young person. No filler on this album. Perfection in just under 40 minutes. Other bands could have/should have learned from this. Less is more. Every song is picture perfect. Such a talented band. Three great singers, even though I admit I am kne of the people that struggles to understand what Stevie Nicks is singing sometimes. Still, Christine McVie, Lindsay Buckingham and Stevie Nicks were a great trio. Great songwriting. Lindsay Buckingham is a wonderful and underrated guitar player. Not too many rhythm sections than Mick Fleetwood on drums and John McVie on bass. Awesome!

The best ever.

easy 5, no comments needed 😄

Who could even deny it? It’s perfect.

Knew this would be 5 stars, but gave ‘er a listen anyway!

Well here’s an easy 5 stars. I won’t be able to add much that hasn’t already been said about this album. Some perfect albums are growers that take some time to digest and appreciate, and some perfect albums are amazing the first time you hear it and every time after. Rumours fits firmly in the second category. The track list is ridiculous: Second Hand News, Dreams, Never Going Back Again, Don’t Stop, Go Your Own Way, The Chain, You Make Loving Fun… these are all songs that would be the best song on 99% of records ever made. Any album that cuts an outstanding song like Silver Springs off of it is probably really good. One of the very best examples (maybe even the best) of popular rock n’ roll.

Hard to argue with this being a classic.

This is a sensational album. The first five songs are unquestionably the best, but I also loved You Make Loving Fun and I Don't Want to Know. All of those songs have been added to my playlists. It flows amazingly, it changes moods a few times and doesn't run too long. It's got a few down songs keeping it from being a perfect 10, but this is a special album. 9/10

I Don’t Want To Know anything different than this beauty. You can Go Your Own Way if you disagree.

Great album. There was tension and drama behind the scenes going on, and it shows in the album. The lyrics are great and tell the perspective of both singers. Musically, it's great!

This album is just so awesome - I'm not sure it deserves to be the top 2 of all time, but I can see why so many people love it! Good listening, easy listening and literally everywhere still - I was at a meeting this morning and Dreams was playing in the cafe. Its not perfect, but still deserves 5 stars if you ask me!

another absolute classic, perfect.

What an absolute masterpiece. Every song is a hit, and this changed the way your whole industry would release singles. Imagine having a song like "Never Going Back Again" on an album and it's buried so deep in its recognition that it's rarely thought of as a bright spot. Pop records don't get better than this.

Yeah, it's a 5

Aw shit. How do you rate this anything other than a 5/5 or 10/10???? It's just hit after hit after hit, and the songs that aren't top 10 hits are top 50 hits. (and then there's Second Hand News). Just an incredible album. I get goosebumps listening to The Chain, even though I've heard it hundreds of times. The vocals throughout are incredible. Favorite Song(s): Dreams, Don't Stop, *The Chain*, I Don't Want to Know

Desert Island album!

Well it’s about damn time this album came up. My dad’s favourite record, will always have a special place in my heart. It’s perfect barring the fact that Silver Springs was left off the original LP.

ai meu deus é o rumours fleetwood mac

Fleetwood Mac's magnum opus and 70's pop-rock at its best. This is a VERY recognizable album, made even more so by iconic singles such as "Go Your Own Way", "Don't Stop", and "Dreams" (the latter being especially trendy in recent years). Heck, repeated listens made me appreciate "Gold Dust Woman" a little bit more after initially brushing it off. The electric and acoustic instrumentation is blended well here, making for an easily digestible listen. Who knew that troubled relationships and drugs would make for good musical content?

this album was amazing, every song was filled with the right amount of energy, every song was great, song bird was absolutely beautiful, such an easy listen overall, everyone should listen to this album especially if they’re getting into listening to music by album.

Top Album mit 4 Songs für meine Playlist

No skips

Easiest 5/5 so far.

Easily gets a 5 without even needing to listen to it. But I still did. Also highly recommend the 'You're Wrong About' podcast's episode about this album. What a messy group and album to create, but what a beautiful thing they created!

This is the easiest album of all time to listen to. Every song is at least good, with a number of amazing standouts. I need to get into the lore with their relationships in the band because that sounds funny as fuck. Peak pettyness. Fav songs: - Second Hand News - Dreams - Don't Stop - Go your own way - The chain - you make loving fun - I don't want to know

One of the best albums of all time

second hand news - 3.5⭐ dreams - 5⭐ never going back again - 3.5⭐ don't stop - 4⭐ go your own way - 4.5⭐ songbird - 4.5⭐ the chain - 5⭐ you make loving fun - 5⭐ i dont want to know - 4⭐ oh daddy - 5⭐ gold dust woman - 5⭐

One of the greatest albums of all time.

Now I'm certain that this deserves its exceptionally high place on the list. It's not just the pumping bass on "The Chain" or the epic guitar on "Go Your Own Way" or even the mesmerising chorus on "Dreams". It's the fact that the combination of an intense breakup and a relentless cocaine addiction brought one of the most timeless rock albums of all time.

You hear over and over again how this album is filled with hits and how any track could have been a single from another band. With a few expections (no one would have thought that 'Oh Daddy' is anyone's hit single), I definitely see it. This is a powerful album, produced amid turmoil, obsession, excessive drug use, infidelity and jealously. The music seems to float above it all, compartmentalized and untainted by the chaotic lives of the musicians who made it. The background adds to the lore of the album. The idea of every track being a potential single misses an important point, which is that it works really well as an whole album. Like any good album, the music varies from one track to the next, but perfectly compliment the whole work. It's a difficult balance that only a relative handful of bands manage to achieve. As of this writing, it's the second highest rated album on the generator, having recently been knocked from the number 1 spot by none other than The Beatles. For me, it's not the best album I've encountered here and I'm surprised that it's been on top of the list. But I appreciate that it's a near perfect album. My one and only criticism is that I hate the very campy and nauseatingly optimistic 'Don't Stop', partly because it's so widely played. But the inclusion of 'The Chain' more than makes up for it. I hate to feel like I'm jumping on the bandwagon here, but I don't feel right not giving 'Rumours' 5 stars.

Just an amazing album. So many songs that have remained hits.

Full of hits, pop-rock also a little country? Unwittingly knew every song but never actively listened to Fleetwood Mac

Absolute bangers

Fuck. That is album is a masterpiece. The amount of styles and singers utilized, and still making it work together is an impressive feat that isn't easy to pull off. Transitioning from Songbird to The Chain is an absolute wild change in song style and yet it doesn't feel forced. It also helps that both songs are amazing. I could keep pushing over the things this album does but nothing I will say will change the impact this album had, and continues to have, on music.

Don't really have to explain this one.

Love this album. Great from start to finish.

STANDOUTS: Dreams Don't Stop Go Your Own Way Songbird The Chain I Don't Want to Know OVERALL: 5/5; Rumours is that bitch, what else is there to say??

Definitely one of the best albums of all time

Another easy 5 star. Classic album, classic for a reason, everything is great, first 4 songs in a row is such a high level of constant greatness. Break the Chain is a classic album is classic

Excellent

Very good find

Classic.

What can I say about this album that hasn't been said. It's a masterpiece and thoroughly deserves 5 stars

This album is the album Rumors by Fleetwood Mac. There is nothing I can write that is new about this album and I have heard it 50,000 times. Upon this 50,001st time, it was just as killer as each other time I've heard it. What I did notice in this listening session, is the handwritteen name on the cover, reminding me that all these years I've been listening to my Mother's copy from when she was a teenager. It got me reflecting on why I love vinyl, when it's often such an imperfect medium. No matter how fancy your cartridge is, your needle takes a tiny amount of fidelity from the grooves with each listen. At vinyl's best, people can argue it's technical merits in what you can hear versus digital or other listening mediums, and I may agree with many of them. For me, however, whether I'm listening to a secondhand record or one that's been passed around over the years, what I'm not hearing represents all the experiences other people have had while listening to that particular record. In this case, all those experiences led me to being on this earth in the first place. There's a lot I could say about the music on this album, but if this is the headspace it can put me in, than all I need to say is 5 out of 5.

Day192 - one of my all time favorites and i’d say a perfect album

01) Second Hand News - 10,0 02) Dreams - 10,0 03) Never Going Back Again - 10,0 04) Don't Stop - 10,0 05) Go Your Own Way - 10.0 06) Songbird - 10,0 07) The Chain - 10,0 08) You Make Loving Fun - 10,0 09) I Don't Wanna Know - 10,0 10) Oh Daddy - 10,0 11) Gold Dust Women - 10,0 12) Silver Springs - 10,0 TOTAL: 10,00 (100/100) Current ranking: 1/245 Ladies and gentlemen, I have a new number one! The fourth album with a perfect score, but the best rated by the general public out of the remaining three. As this is the overall best-rated album out of 1001, we can already now, after 245 listened albums, declare it my winner because no one can dethrone it. The album is a real little masterpiece without a single filler song. My favorites are "The Chain", "Dreams", "Go Your Own Way", "Silver Springs", "Never Going Back Again" and "Don't Stop". Oh hell, since I've already listed half of the album, include the remaining six tracks as my favorites as well.

Always a 5 star album

"Oh, it's the meme album" Then it was everything but. Amazing album, got a place in my mind forever now. Favorite track: The Chain

Regularly up there in lists of best albums ever, and relistening after a few years reminds me why. There's probably not *that* many albums every track has its own Wikipedia page - but every title is blue; even "Silver Springs" which was only on some versions! The genius of the album probably comes from the competitive nature of recording, which is shown in the variety of songwriters (and one full band composition) - if you wanted to get your song on the record, it had better be damn near flawless. All the stories about the recording are so well known by this point, and people have literally written books on the topic, but even the band were able to see that everything they went through resulted in one of the great collections of songs. I hope they all know how much it means to so many people. My favourite track is probably The Chain, especially the backing vocals, but the one I would love to hear spoken about more is Never Going Back Again - a 2 minute slice of acoustic perfection, and probably the closest to one person's vision. My one wish is that I had been around to see them on the tour that followed!

LETS FUCKING GOOOO. Can I even say anything? This has to be one of my favorite albums of all time. No notes.

Pitch perfect sunshine pop with themes of indoor fireworks.

Such classics on this album. Wonderful stuff. And Never Going Back Again is just beautiful! So clean!

Absolute and complete delight. From 'Second Hand News' to 'Gold Dust Woman', there wasn't a single beat I was not lost in. Perfect album.

Quite simply one of the best albums of all time!

You don't need my input to tell you this is a 5 star album, surely?

Had wmb moeten eindigen bij i don't want to know, maar nog steeds een ruime 4.5

The reputation as one of the best albums of all time is not undeserved.

Another classic

Incredible

97/100

Nothing I can say that has not been said. I was wondering when this album was going to pop up

Det var fedt. Aldrig fået det hørt før. Men det ramte lige rigtigt på dagen. Glad for at have en hel weekend med den her. Det skal klart genbesøges!

perfection
