4/5
Pretty nice easy vibes here. Never really heard of Joe but it was pretty good and better than a lot of other country I have heard.

Iron Maiden
5/5
Run To The Hills on here is an incredible track. Every bit of that song is at peak and should be played above it. I need Metal like this to sneak back at this kinda of talent. Who will be the next Metal band to reach a level like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Metallica?

I saw Ono in the title and was immediately thought I’d be skipping through this album to save my ears from bleeding. Yet to my surprise it was lovely. John has some great songs on this album. 3.5 but rounding up for 4⭐️
The The
4/5
Surprisingly really well. The instrumentals are great. 3.5 going to 4 for surprise fun

I really liked Hero. The rest of what I heard was pretty unexciting or anything I’d want to hear. Seems like these guys were trying something new back in day.
Guns N' Roses
5/5
Rock n Roll at it’s finest. Their first album and they come out like this?!?!
Marvin Gaye
3/5
Overall kinda slow. Liked one song and “what’s goin on” is a classic. Pretty fun to hear his music about anti war and what was going on at the time.

Some ok songs on here but this Neil doesn’t do it for me.
Manic Street Preachers
1/5
Ill be ok never hearing any of these again.
Jerry Lee Lewis
5/5
Apparently this dude has made some bad life choices. Where he made good ones was the in this music set that was recorded. Early Rock n Roll at it’s finest. I came here for the music🤟
Soundgarden
5/5
This is some great stuff if you’re into rock. Chris whales.
Arctic Monkeys
5/5
Only knew of these guys from a Rock Band song. This is album is fucking great. One of the better Punk albums I listened to.
Lupe Fiasco
5/5
Other than the intro and outro that thanks over 100 people this album is great. Jay-Z feat wasn't aware of. 4.5 but rounding up.
The Everly Brothers
3/5
For how dated this is, The Everly Brothers come through with some pretty impressive instrumentals. Otherwise it feels pretty repetitive. 2.5 rounding up.
The Cure
2/5
😢😭😩😫😢😭😢😫Way too much of this. Not for me and I’ve heard better covers of their Lovesong. Round up.
John Lee Hooker
3/5
John can play and some of the songs with carlos’ band are good. Nice easy album to listen to but nothing overly exciting.
2/5
No to Yes. Songs are series of novels. Some fun lyrics and instruments but nah.

4/5
All you need from ACDC. Literally it will all sound like these songs.
Charles Mingus
2/5
Not a bad jazz album but nothing stood out too me either.
The Incredible String Band
2/5
Weird but not bad. Some ok songs or song but some weird trippy medieval folk stuff.
Paul McCartney and Wings
5/5
Pretty great album. Spotify has some added tracks which are just slightly different versions. Don’t know much else about Wings but this has to be a must with gems on it.
Louis Prima
5/5
I love this album. So much fun and good energy. Gonna be lookin for this vinyl.
Jimi Hendrix
3/5
This one is alright but I’m a much bigger fan of Axis. Gonna down vote cause I like Axis more.
White Denim

Enjoyed myself with this one. Good vibes and got some more👍’s. 4.5⭐️ but rounding down to a 4.
FKA twigs
2/5
Not my style and pretty slow for edm

4/5
Good blues album. Eric comes out a little but really wouldn’t knownhe was there.
The Icarus Line
3/5
Nice little punk album
Curtis Mayfield
3/5
Not a bad album but not great. Pretty mellow vibes with sexy sax coming every now and then but nothing to make love to.
Hot Chip
3/5
I had a hard time hating this album but I couldn’t find a 👍 either. Kind of EDM Glam Punk. Will round up from a 2.5 to a 3⭐️
Supertramp
3/5
I personally like Breakfast In America better. This album does have Bloody Well Right though and has some all around good vibes.
Tortoise
2/5
There were moments I hot excited about what was happening but nothing ever happened.
Oasis
3/5
Ya know I liked listening to this album but no 👍s. Still could sit back and listen to it though.
Little Simz
3/5
Way better than what I thought it’d be which is always nice. The last track with Michael is nice and the whole album does have a good vibe and flo.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
5/5
Nice punk album here. I was aware of Maps and am not really a fan but other songs on this album like Tick and Black Tongue really make Maps unforgettable and makes this album memorable.
Various Artists
3/5
Not bad for an xmas album
Miles Davis
2/5
Heard better from him and wasn’t the biggest fan of this album in general.
Radiohead
1/5
This is absolute shit
William Orbit
2/5
Another teaser album. Moments when my ears perked up and my booty got a little sway to it but nothing set it off. One sone almost made it yet, nope.
The Prodigy
3/5
Fun remembering these guys from my 90 mtv days. Some ok tracks but nothing really great.
Bob Dylan
3/5
If ya like bob. Otherwise nothing to me stood out but wasn’t divin deep into riffs or lyrics.
Suede
2/5
Couple ok songs but way too much whinny singing.
Talking Heads
4/5
I hope there are at least two more albums from these guys on this list. Personally Little Creatures Remain in Light and Speaking In Tongues are all superior albums. Love these guys those and also one of my fav tracks from them on here.
Richard Thompson
2/5
One ok song otherwise it sounds whinny.
Nine Inch Nails
5/5
Depression put into music and it works with this style. Trent does a great job with this one.
John Lennon
5/5
John hitting different styles on this album and it’s good. Only negative is his love song to Ono, it’s great song but fuq her.
Alanis Morissette
5/5
Everyone “Oughta Know” about this album. I’m “Head Over Feet” feet over this album without the help of “Mary Jane”. It’s a little “Ironic” don’t ya think?
4/5
Nostalgia on this one for me. Pretty fun album though, although listening to it again it’s like they took some popular songs and used them in their own ways.
Sex Pistols
4/5
I didn’t have any 👍s on tracks, but this album is still a great punk album. Instrumentals come through hard and fast, and I could just listen to those alone.
Queens of the Stone Age
4/5
I prefer some other albums over this one. First time I listened to this one though, kinda mellow compared to other albums of theirs.
Motörhead
4/5
I like the guitar and some of these songs but it almost all has same sound like ACDC. I am a rocker though so Im giving 4 cause if you are a rocker then you’ll probably enjoy this since this is probably the best Motörhead has to offer.
Joan Baez
2/5
Nah. Whinny folk.
Paul Simon
3/5
Little bit slower more mellow vibes from paul here. I enjoy a couple of his other albums more.
Pixies
4/5
This is a pretty good album. They have a pretty unique sound. I like Dr. Doolittle better. Rounding up.
The Modern Lovers
2/5
Nothing really stood out here. A couple tracks with some vibes but nothing I’d really want to come back to. Lead singer is mopey sounding
There are some songs on here that are enjoyable a bit but I can’t do U2. Will round up though…..
The Band
5/5
This is nice good ole classic rock album. If I’m gonna round up shitty albums I’m gonna round this up to max🤷
Elton John
5/5
Fantastic album. Lot to enjoy on this one.
Sinead O'Connor
2/5
Found out it was a prince cover but there is a really good track on here. Couple other ok ones, but really not by jam.
3/5
After giving my full attention to listen while driving super slow in a traffic jam I realized this is a pretty decent album.
Elvis Costello & The Attractions
4/5
I like this album. Good vibes and some great tracks to back it up.
Creedence Clearwater Revival
4/5
Not as good as the other two CCR albums I listened to so far on this list. Little bit more mellow vibes here from John and the boys.
Common
4/5
I would listen to this again. Nice jazzy instrumentals on tracks which is a lot different from what I’m use to hearing on hip hop tracks. Common has good flow too. 3.5 rounding up.
Daft Punk
3/5
Better daft punk albums imo. This is good but seems a bit basic compared to others and maybe there is reason behind it.
Ash
3/5
Not bad but not great and no 👍 but would listen to. Rounding up.
The Who
4/5
Great concept album. The movie has some great cameos and some better versions of these songs.
N.E.R.D
2/5
Expected something and a lot more than what I got. Hesitantly rounding up from a very hard 1.5 if not it should probably just be a 1⭐️
Marty Robbins
5/5
If you’re into country, old western movies, or some older style of music. This is your album. I happen to be a fan of OG country and can handle some twang. Every story is like a old school western come to life through song.
Massive Attack
3/5
This was ok. Nothing stood out really but no dislikes.
a-ha
2/5
Take on Me. That’s it.
The Zombies
4/5
This was pretty good. I would say their sound is a little ahead of their time even. Some hippy vibes with more rock and bluesy instrumentals. Time of the Season on here too.
Goldfrapp
1/5
Nope not a one. Why?
Roxy Music
3/5
Impressed but wish the energy and vibes of first track was across the entire work. Talented group but vibes and energy just always doesn’t fit me. Still good listen.
Tears For Fears
4/5
Some good ones on here and pretty easy album to listen to.
Wilco
3/5
Very laid back mellow vibes but some ok tracks and even a surprising 👍.
The Human League
2/5
Most 80s album you’ll ever listen to.
Christina Aguilera
5/5
Wow. CA can sing. I guess growing up and being anti-pop and having genie in a bottle being rammed into your brain you kinda tune some things out. Really impressed with vocal talents and going away from poppy vibes and going for soul. This album being 2 disc you’re gonna have a couple sleepers but she could have easily put a solid 12-15 tracks for one mega bang. Anyways it was really good.
Beck
4/5
I dig it. Pretty fun vibes
The B-52's
3/5
More punky than I would’ve thought. Actually a bit more enjoyable than my previous perceptions.
Beck
2/5
Pretty slow and mellow. Couple songs that I thought were ok but this album is not for me. Geurro significantly better
Arcade Fire
3/5
Pretty decent album but a tad too mellow for me at times. Still all around something decent to listen to.
Kanye West
5/5
We all know who this guy is and how he acts. If you just look at the guy as a crazy artist the man is genius and this album does nothing but reiterate that. Almost every track is a banger, up to 11 and enjoy one the greatest rap albums and collective piece of work in that genre.
Lucinda Williams
1/5
Not a thing on here worth ever listening to.
Iron Maiden
4/5
Amazing guitar work as usual from this group. If you don’t like hard guitar this may not be for you. Not sure if this is the best this group has to offer either but I enjoy them and this album.
Stevie Wonder
3/5
I love Stevie. Probably one of the best song writers ever. This album for me like others of his, is really slow when it’s slow. Just not my style and a little too gospelly it felt. I wanted give four but it seems more like a three now.
Slipknot
5/5
Being an Iowan this is the first time actually listening to Slipknot. Of course everyone knew Wait and Bleed but there are other tracks on this album that still showcase the talent this band has. This is some great metal.
Shuggie Otis
3/5
Some really nice elevator music here and I mean that in good way. This album is really easy to listen to. Nothing extraordinary but just some nice easy music to have on while working or going for a nice walk.
Janet Jackson
5/5
80-90s pop vibes here other than her brother is some of the best of it too. I maybe could’ve only done without one track and definitely had some 👍s.
The Velvet Underground
2/5
Nothing I hated but nothing I enjoyed either. Not really sure what Im missing here but it didn’t hit.
John Martyn
4/5
Some sleepers on here but some awesome songs too. Really enjoyed some tracks on this album and even some 👍s.
The Residents
1/5
If I could give 0 stars I would.
Joni Mitchell
3/5
Wasn’t on Spotify but was able to listen to on Youtube Music. I like listening to Joni. She has a real easy voice to listen to. There was one song on this album that was pretty fun to listen to, little more blusey vibes. This album still a bit too folky for me but Joni seems to be the Queen of this genre. Rounding down but could be a 4⭐️ on a different day.
Elton John
5/5
There’s not a lot to hate here unless you hate EJ.
Amy Winehouse
4/5
No knee slappers for me but her singing and style makes her very easy to listen to. Feels like Im in an old lounge drinking whiskey listening to her.
Kate Bush
1/5
Nothing here I could really say Id want to listen to again.
Metallica
5/5
Love every bit of this pretty much other than Enter Sandman just because I can go anywhere and here it. Work like this is how you transcend genres as a band.
MGMT
4/5
This album actually was pretty spectacular. 3 👍s and only one song that I would skip. Wanna give it a 5 but I feel like the skip and also with some other tracks it’s just not quite a 5⭐️ for me. 4.5 but going down.
Nas
4/5
Nas easily is one of the best lyrically and flo. His beats reflect a lot of what he is rapping about so you won’t really find the club bangers like you would from other artists. This album still slams though.
Leonard Cohen
1/5
Yeah nothing here for me. Lot of talk singing about all this guy’s feelings. One ok song to listen to otherwise they pretty much all sound the same.
The Fall
2/5
Some decent rifts on some tracks along with some ok melodies. Not a fan really though and nothing stood out to me.
Pink Floyd
5/5
Do yourself a favor and get some headphones and find a place to relax and just take all this in. Especially for first tine listeners. To be fair, I am a fan boy, but there is truly not a lot if anything to hate on here.
Jazmine Sullivan
5/5
Idk why but this album was really fun. I imagined Jazmine singing every song about me(straight-male) me. Beats and bars are really good too. Rounding up from a 4.5.
Green Day
5/5
Isn’t this shit iconic?
Tom Waits
3/5
If you can get past or not be bothered by the way he sings, there is a lot of good stuff on here to enjoy
Van Morrison
3/5
This is some real mellow Van Morrison and all their stuff is pretty chill. There really wasn’t anything that stood out but I do like Van Morrison.
Deep Purple
5/5
Yeah I really digged this. Some of the jams get crazy but otherwise it’s hard to match the energy.
Jimi Hendrix
4/5
Some of Jimi’s most well known songs on this.
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
3/5
From this I come to like Nick Cave. Thing is though I think this is album 3 from him and they all about the same.
Patti Smith
3/5
There were some pretty good tunes on here. Thought it would be more folky but it wasn’t. This album album probably better with context.
The Temptations
4/5
Some nice easy listening music here. Not a lot of funk and flash but a lot class.
Tori Amos
2/5
Better than I thought but bot something Ill listen to again. But, did find a track.
Frank Ocean
5/5
I like this one. Had a couple 👍s before this project.
The Go-Go's
2/5
This wasn’t bad but Im not that into the go gos.
Dire Straits
5/5
The guitar work is some of the best you can get. Some real easy music to listen to. Legendary track “Sultans of Swing” is on this album as well.
Rod Stewart
5/5
Love Rod and this is a fantastic album.
The Mothers Of Invention
1/5
Albums like these are why people hate shit like this or why people give up.
Björk
2/5
There were some good instrumental vibes here and there but nothing that really stuck. She can sing but she kinda just yells pretty.
Queen
4/5
Idk what else queen has to offer but I think they have an album that’s not a display of range of talents rather than their more pure rock&roll roots. Either way would love to have this in a collection and this may be Queens best to offer.
SZA
2/5
Not a lot here.
The Black Crowes
5/5
Crazy this came in 90 when grunge was coming on strong and pop was dying because this isn’t anything but pure rock and roll. Really fantastic album with some really good tracks.
ZZ Top
5/5
This is probably all you need from ZZ. Not all their hits but some classic tracks on here along with some others just as good.
Goldie
1/5
Nothing here. Better EDM out for sure.
Hookworms
2/5
Some ok tracks and sounds but nothing much here either. 1.5 rounding up.
Common
5/5
Be should be called Ye since his hands are all over it. Great album though very fun.
Echo And The Bunnymen
3/5
Some very kinda chill punky vibes here.
Einstürzende Neubauten
1/5
Why? Why even?
Paul Simon
5/5
This album is great and almost feel like a one of it’s kind ever from an American artist let alone an artist from classic rock to incorporate African musicians and music into an album.
Guided By Voices
2/5
So I never heard anything of this artist or album at all in my life. Like discovering a planet or walking into the largest library and randomly grab a book and go. Here’s the problem with this scenario though, this piece of art is coming at you randomly. It’s on a list, a list that states is MUST before 💀. I’m a new father and I love listening to music and everything about music and feel like I enjoy a wide variety. I will never mention nor play anything from this album ever. This album isn’t the worst on this list and even had some fun moments and help me realize this list is a grind and has many far from ever being MUST. 1.5 rounding up.
Coldcut
3/5
Finally some decent EDM. Some real fun tracks on here.
***NOT ON SPOTIFY***
Frank Zappa
4/5
Great instrumental from Frank. Only listened to his other album away from this project. Pretty fun tunes and good vibes.
Depeche Mode
2/5
Not for me. Something about the vocals that big turn off. Their hits are ok with a little more upbeat vibes.
Brian Eno
2/5
There were some cool chill jams on here that I could get into every now and then. Not really still something I can listen to everyday.
Death In Vegas
4/5
Feeling good so rounding up to four from 3.5⭐️. Fun album here. Goes all over the place in sense of diff genres. All still have some weird industrial vibe though even the tracks with horns. I can easily have this on as background noise.
Joy Division
1/5
More trash that no one should listen to. Who in their right mind would even produce or give studio time?
Fleet Foxes
4/5
Some new age folky stuff but I dig it. Vocals are pretty good and some reason give off pretty good vibes. I don’t wanna give it a 4 but I think it does deserve it for a reason….
Rod Stewart
5/5
I really don’t believe this is the best Rod has to offer. And that being said this album is still pretty solid. I personally didn’t have any 👍s even though almost on a couple tracks. Reason being is I heard Rod on Faces albums and other tracks. AGAIN, that being said I don’t believe Rod ever gets enough credit for the music he has put out there.
Being a fan of his work I give it a 3.5⭐️
It is a 3.5⭐️ gonna give it 5 to help Rod. He doesn’t get enough love and this is the first album I got on this adventure and like I said, Faces specifically “Ooh La La”⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
Big Brother & The Holding Company
4/5
Janis’ early work here and her soulful voice really comes out on some tracks. If you’re into hippy blues or some blues in general this album should be for you.
The Rolling Stones
5/5
Love the stones and there are some country type feels on some of these tracks
Can
1/5
Yet anothet struggle out of 1001
Violent Femmes
4/5
Got this on the eclipse of 24 so that was pretty cool. Also fun punk album as well.
Beck
4/5
Yeah this album is pretty fun. Different vibes from another on this list. Definitely more of an upbeat hip hoppy pop rock style. I thought it was pretty fun and listened to a couple times.
Herbie Hancock
4/5
Herbie is fun as a hell. Who would’ve thought one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence could make such groovy jazz.
Missy Elliott
4/5
Timbaland has a sound for sure. But this album is super fun and Missy is pretty talented.
Queen
2/5
Queen is good but more and more I hear Queen they just aren’t for me. They are talented and I understand why people enjoy them. Not me though.
Bob Dylan
4/5
The acoustic work on this album is great. I enjoyed a lot of the tracks even with Bob’s singing
Electric Light Orchestra
4/5
ELO hits for me and some of my favorite tracks are on this album. The album as a whole is put together really well and has a general overall feel to it. Out of The Blue is a bit to slow or easy for me at times but anyone experiencing ELO for first time I think will have a lot to enjoy.
Black Sabbath
5/5
What a great album. First Black Sabbath album I dug into and it did not disappoint. I should’ve took time to listen to this group sooner in my life.
Suicide
1/5
There’s not any situation in life I would or could ever find myself or being able to recommend to someone to listen to. Why this is on a list saying it’s a MUST, makes this list pretty much null and void. If I started with album I would have never even kept on going.
The Who
2/5
Meh nothing really here and I feel like they put out some better albums than this silly thing.
Pavement
2/5
This stuff was ok. Nothing too memorable.
Aretha Franklin
5/5
Amazing stuff from the Queen.
Nirvana
4/5
If you want a quick intro to the talent that Nirvana can provide, this is a great avenue for that. I personally feel there are better unplugged albums that should be listened to rather than this and this is pretty great. 3.5 rounding up.
The Jam
3/5
Fun little British Pop Punky vibes. High energy for the most part. No 👍 so rounding down from a 3.5 to 3 but would listen to again.
The Doors
5/5
If ya like some Blues this is probably for you. So many good tracks on this album, probably the best The Doors have to offer.
Leonard Cohen
2/5
I didn’t know what to think of this at first. Turns out that Leonard can come up with some interesting melodies to go with his dark poetry. This was better than expected but still isn’t something I would put for anyone or would find myself with an urge to listen to it. 2.5 goin down.
Jeru The Damaja
5/5
Pleasantly surprised! First song’s beat through me off at first but that song grew on me listening through it the first time. Then Jeru was done warming up. Lyrically, dude is on point and the beats are some really unique ones especially using piano in hip-hop.
Circle Jerks
2/5
Some decent punk here but nothing that really stood out too me.
The Police
5/5
Fun police album with some classics. Im a sucker for classics so Im rounding up from a 4.25
Run-D.M.C.
4/5
Some pretty good tracks on here but their rhymes or maybe even just the vibe of this album feels a little repetitive but all in all still pretty fun. Rounding up from a 3.5 or like 3.25🤷
Marianne Faithfull
1/5
Some okntracks but there isn’t anything Id ever come back for. 1.5 going down
Jurassic 5
3/5
Pretty solid bars overall but I need more upbeat beats.
Badly Drawn Boy
1/5
Meh. This album is interesting to me cause it was released in 99’. Other than that that’s about as interesting as it got for me. Couple tracks that almost grabbed interest but nothing really grabbed hold.
Emerson, Lake & Palmer
2/5
I had a little excitement getting a chance to dive into some of ELP’s work. unfortunately I didn’t come away feeling excited.
Small Faces
3/5
Some fun tracks on here. Was surprised about the energy and wasn’t sure what to expect at all from this group. I think it may be worth a listen to a couple times or more.
Metallica
5/5
For me this a must because IMO it’s one of the better live albums put out there. Not everyday you get metal and classical. Shows the quality of music by the band who transcended metal to another level and made it mainstream. Idk how I feel about “greatest hits” albums but this is one of those.
Brian Wilson
1/5
Nope.
The Mothers Of Invention
2/5
Drugs. Lot and lots of drugs used to create this album. Somehow though they managed to actually put something together. 2.5 down.
Prince
3/5
This is a pretty good album if you’re into Prince. Not sure if it’s a must listen especially for people who aren’t fans.
Johnny Cash
4/5
I dig it. Not too many live country albums and John does a great job.
The Fall
2/5
Nothing really stood out for me on this. Sounds like some typical british punk sounds.
LL Cool J
4/5
Solid 3.5 rounding to a 4. I think Cool J does a great job with this album overall. Very consistent in style and flow. Definitely and overlooked rapper.
R.E.M.
4/5
They lost me on a couple but definitely bring it back around with their bangers. Solid 3.5 album, rounding up.
Yes
4/5
Yes has a couple really great tracks on this album. Other than that I can’t recall too much from it but it is pretty easy to listen to. Rounding up.
Michael Jackson
4/5
Seems like one if not Michael’s first and it’s great. Little slow ones in there but the overall vibe is pretty loose easy feeling. Idk if it gets a 5 though.
Beatles
5/5
There’s a couple tracks to question but otherwise this album is great. The songs tend to blend and the whole vibe carries through. Musically every beatle is on point and everyone has one of their’s on here.
The Offspring
5/5
Excellent punk album. I feel like in a time when punk was becoming to become more poppy with bands like blink and good charlotte these guys stayed a bit more traditional. Lots of good tracks and some of their best.
Calexico
4/5
This was better than expected. Especially enjoyed the tracks when the horns came. Had a mariachi type style in some songs. Lyrically I may have been lost or not paying attention but the instrumentals on some of these tracks are really good ear food. Feeling generous today and rounding up with love.
David Bowie
5/5
Pleasantly surprised from Dave on this one. For some reason his style really is one of kind and unique to where it holds my attention. Not too many people can have such a unique sound and make everything come together cohesively. Great work from Bowie here.
The Rolling Stones
5/5
This album is great and Stones rock.
Public Enemy
5/5
Public Em is fantastic here. I use to think Flava Flav was joke but dude has some pretty good lyrics and drops some good beats. This album has some great tracks and their message stays on point throughout.
John Prine
5/5
John Prine is probably the best american song writer not enough people talk about and this album is full of some exceptional pieces of work.
Miles Davis
5/5
Really great stuff here from Miles. Hearing this and Kind of Blue have really brought me around to Jazz.
Lightning Bolt
2/5
Yeah not exactly sure what this is. New age metal? Idk, it had moments but there isn’t a lot here to talk about or will ever tell anyone they need to listen.
Fela Kuti
5/5
Fela brings some great energy on that trumpet. I feel like all these songs bring a great energy and are enjoyable to listen to. If I gave Miles a 5 I feel like Fela is on par.
Japan
1/5
A lot of early emo pop stuff. One track was somewhat enjoyable.
Beatles
5/5
So many good songs on this one too. The Beatles really are that good.
The Associates
1/5
80’s weird pop stuff. Not for me.
Dion
5/5
Rains coming but 5. Never heard of this guy till now but this album for me is great. Not the best vocals but lyrics and music is right there.
The Police
4/5
Couple interesting tracks on this but some of the bangers really do hit hard. Goin with a 4, seems like a universal rating.
Merle Haggard
5/5
One of the better put together country albums out there. Merle has a voice and it’s also one of the best in country music.
LCD Soundsystem
4/5
They got a funky style and a couple tracks bot on this album that are certified hummdingers. Im giving these guys a four because they are like a more cool and less douchey with electronic funk U2.
Justin Timberlake
4/5
JT and timerland come through on this one. Some excellent R&B Pop.
Elliott Smith
2/5
Lot of slow stuff kinda on here. Emo grunge? Some is ok but still not the moods Im willing to tell someone to listen or listen myself most times.
Les Rythmes Digitales
4/5
Fun album that makes ya wanna shake your booty
The Slits
2/5
This was alright but I feel could use some context to it or I feel like there is something more to this album than naked chicks and some ok punk songs.
Bruce Springsteen
5/5
Garbage
3/5
Pretty solid stuff here from garbage. Didn’t enjoy everything but enjoyed most of it.
Jane Weaver
1/5
Not a fan
Hanoi Rocks
3/5
Hanoi Rocks! Pretty solid punk album. Goin with a 3 still though.
Sufjan Stevens
3/5
Album has it moments of sleep and some interest. It’s a pretty interesting album though and somehow the americana nostalgia pulls me in.
The Saints
3/5
Old school school punk sound in the new age. Also, they bring out the horns!
Quicksilver Messenger Service
2/5
I think this album needs some context. Guitar work is pretty sick sometimes. Didn’t know this is where “who do you love” comes from.
Rush
3/5
Neil Pert is a god. Otherwise there some good stuff but I never was really ever sold on rush.
k.d. lang
2/5
Slow. Some ok interesting songs but not a must listen before ya die.
ABBA
1/5
There’s definitely better abba than this that this list is going to make me listen to.
Depeche Mode
1/5
Really somber and boring. With the bad ass drumming and synth one would think some more energy would be coming from this. Plus wasn’t there a lot of cocaine back then too? This album had 0 fun from the 80s.
Al Green
3/5
Al is great, wish this album would have a bit more energy but that’s my style. I would say this is probably a great way to get to know Mr Green. Rounding down.
Blur
4/5
I enjoy blur and damon a lot. I think they have a unique style and it works. 4.5 wanted to give it a 5 but for some reason I can’t and rounded down.
Screaming Trees
3/5
Better than what I was expecting. Nothing really I don’t think Id put but if it came up or it was playing I can listen and jam.
The Clash
4/5
The Clash to me have this energy and style where it makes ya just want to go out get drunk and party.
Fever Ray
1/5
There’s an occasional fun best with the drums but other than that it’s not good.
Steve Winwood
3/5
Like me some Steve. Pretty soft tunes but it’s got some really uplifting melodies.
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
4/5
First thing I said when I saw this album is, “How many Nick Cave albums do we really need?”. Then it slowly pulled me in on this album. Great instrumentals and Nick’s lyrical style cracks me up. Going to 4 stars cause after this one and Murder Ballads I feel like Nick and his band need some more notoriety and recognition.
The Smashing Pumpkins
5/5
I can get past Billy’s weird voice. This album has a little bit of everything and carries itself very nicely through 2 discs.
The Byrds
2/5
Little slow hippy music it kinda sounds like. It’s ok but nothing memorable really.
Simon & Garfunkel
2/5
Little to slow and mellow for me.
Franz Ferdinand
5/5
Heck yeah. Im gonna remember this and keep in the regular rotation. Good stuff here.
Tim Buckley
5/5
Tim has some really fun tunes on this.
Youssou N'Dour
5/5
Didn’t know what was being sung but it really doesn’t matter. This album has great energy and has a little of everything instrumental wise and at a high level.
Randy Newman
4/5
Guy is hilarious and really most songs are just real easy to listen to.
Miles Davis
4/5
Miles Davis giving me hope with Jazz. Another good one from him.
The Disposable Heroes Of Hiphoprisy
4/5
Great beats to go with great messages. Everything dude says still pretty much translates to now✊
Joanna Newsom
1/5
George Harrison
4/5
Really enjoyed his instrumental stuff on the second disc. Almost wish he had this style a little more throughout his music.
Sepultura
4/5
Pretty good heavy metal album here. Gotta round up from a 3.5
American Music Club
2/5
Pretty boring. Some ok stuff but nothing really here.
Underworld
2/5
Meh. Some ok stuff here but don’t need to listen to before I die.
R.E.M.
3/5
Appropriately named band for this album. Actually easily put my kids to sleep in ride. There are a couple ok ones on here though but definitely to slow for my taste. Man on the Moon and Everybody Hurts gets a three though.
Mott The Hoople
4/5
Real fun album with some really good tracks. Recognized these guys kinda from some. Enjoy their energy. Rounding up cause why not.
The Byrds
2/5
Pretty boring
Pink Floyd
5/5
This album is incredible. So much to enjoy here.
Butthole Surfers
2/5
A couple of tracks were ok but really just mostly a lot of weird obscure stuff.
Marvin Gaye
3/5
Not as good as what’s goin on but still some real good stuff from Marvin but it is a little slower.
Eurythmics
3/5
Has it moments but this music isn’t for me really
Coldplay
4/5
They have some really good songs on this but the vibe is pretty low and slow. Rounding up.
Aerosmith
4/5
It’s a solid 3 but Sweet Emotion takes it to easy 3.5 and gotta round up.
Public Image Ltd.
2/5
Nothing that stood out to me
Black Sabbath
5/5
I mean with the hits that are on here and the rest is pretty good too….
The Cure
2/5
Still blah.
3/5
I liked the second disc or the other concert. Some good songs on there. Rounding down.
Spacemen 3
2/5
Some weird emo electronic stuff
3/5
She had her moments for sure. I could listen to this by myself sometime.
Primal Scream
4/5
No likes but found myself enjoying it more than hating it. Rounding up.
Holger Czukay
4/5
Rounding up but this album is pretty fun. Takes you all over for a nice ride.
Eminem
4/5
Not sure if this is the only album but in my mind, it can’t be with all the other good ones. Rounding to 4 but like I said, Em has so much more to offer in an album than this IMO.
Doves
2/5
Not horrible but not memorable anywhere either. Rounding down.
Faith No More
4/5
More fun than I thought this would be. Especially with the track Epic on here it’s getting rounded up for sure.
The Beach Boys
3/5
Def gets away from typical Beach Boys vibes. Some ok tracks.
Neil Young
4/5
Got a 👍 track from this album so giving it a 4. I think the energy level from Neil was much more enjoyable than Crazy Horse.
Tom Waits
4/5
Tom Waits always comes through. Some good tracks and way more enjoyable than anticipated especially with his singing.
James Brown
2/5
Not sure how I feel about this live album. It had moments of being fun but def nothing special. Rounding down.
Johnny Cash
5/5
The songs he chose for this are incredible. Not sure why there are two prison albums for Mr Cash but this one is superior for live performance and song selection IMO.
Frank Sinatra
5/5
Listened to this while working for a better part of my day. Real nice stuff here from Ole Blue Eyes.
Deee-Lite
4/5
Fun 90s dance party.
Norah Jones
4/5
Nice easy album to go away with Norah. Nothing to really hate and she has a real nice voice and some van maur moods. Rounding up
David Bowie
2/5
Not really into that much especially the last tracks.
Gram Parsons
4/5
A sneaky one that was more fun than anticipated.
The Specials
2/5
Had it’s moments. But I don’t think Id ever come back. Rounding down.
Meat Loaf
5/5
BALLADS OF BATS!!!! This is a musical written and for a straight guy.
Dinosaur Jr.
3/5
Actually pretty good. Wanna give 4 but not.
A Tribe Called Quest
3/5
Some good bars and beats but the overall feel is pretty chill. Im giving this a three even though I have a like or two on here.
The White Stripes
5/5
Remember, it’s just two people doing this….
Bob Dylan
4/5
Ole Bob cuts loose a little here. Some pretty fun songs even though his singing is Bob singing.
Britney Spears
3/5
Never was and never will be a teenage girl. Nor am I nostalgic about really anything. I feel like this is on this list because of what this album was and who she became to be. I don’t believe this album or music is intended for me or everybody. Still has a couple good ones though🤷
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
1/5
Did Nick Cave write this book?
Talking Heads
4/5
What a great title name. Has one of my fav Talking Head songs and they are one of my favs all time. Yet, I cannot give this album 5⭐️. It’s good but their other albums seemed to be better at keeping me interested.
Fleetwood Mac
4/5
Slow parts and it’s no rumors but it’s still Fleetwood Mac.
The Dave Brubeck Quartet
5/5
This is fantastic. Wish I heard this earlier in my life(born 85’ rating in 24’). Just a real nice piece to listen to and really just keep on repeat.
Carpenters
3/5
Some classic love songs on here. Little to mellow and slow but vocals are top notch. Rounding down but on anothet day I would round up.
Eminem
5/5
This may be a nostalgic rating. I’m not sure how many Eminem albums are on here but this is the one I will always direct people to start with.
The Rolling Stones
5/5
Stones
Dire Straits
5/5
You have 3-4 of Dire Straits best on one album.
Elvis Presley
5/5
There’s some really good tracks on here.
The Smiths
2/5
Nothing really to remember or anything that really stood out.
The Black Keys
5/5
Great stuff from these guys. Not sure what the “deluxe” album is that this directs you to because it’s track for track and the same length as normal🤷

3/5
Had some moments of some toe tappin. Just not anything memorable here either but it’s very easy to listen to.
The White Stripes
4/5
Great stuff from only two musicians.
Pantera
5/5
If you like hard heavy there is nothing here for you to hate. Even if you don’t there is still something to appreciate with the energy and talent that each member delivers especially on guitar and drums.
Sheryl Crow
2/5
This album actually feels as exciting as a Tuesday night could be. Which doesn’t mean a total snooze fest but, it’s also Tuesday night.
Jethro Tull
5/5
I mean they rock the shit out of that flute….
Gil Scott-Heron
3/5
3.5 but Im rounding down. There wasn’t anything too memorable and I could on find this album on a Youtube Video.
The Pretty Things
2/5
This was alright. Nothing too crazy or exciting here.
Bon Jovi
4/5
This is 80’s rock and Bon Jovi. If you would go see Bon Jovi live this album would be 75% of the set. If you go to a disgusting Hair Ball or Rock of Ages cover-band shit show you would probably hear 3 songs off this album. And you probably would hear at least one poor sole doing their best to one of these at your local karaoke night.
Beastie Boys
4/5
Good stuff from later in their career and they hit some different genres in there as well.
Linkin Park
5/5
Honestly probably the best “Nu Metal” if that’s what this qualifies as ever to come out from late 90’s to today. Some really good tracks on here I ended up adding 7 of them to my likes.
808 State
3/5
Seems like a lot of these tracks has been used in various songs in the 90s but idk. It’s kinda fun but really it seemed like halfway through it I was in a time loop. Not bad but I like something a little more in my EDM.
Nirvana
4/5
For some reason I can’t give this album a 5. It feels like a 4.5 but I feel like it doesn’t hit right to take it all the way. There are some really good songs on here and some of my favs from them but to me Nevermind brings what I expect from them the whole way through.
Led Zeppelin
4/5
Can’t put into words at this moment why this isn’t a 5 for me but it isn’t. Maybe after hearing so much other music and having Led played so much throughout my time that maybe at this moment I feel a little burnt out. That being said a four and feeling done with a artist/band says something too.
The United States Of America
2/5
Some kinda interesting 60’s lsd experimental music stuff it sounds like but they are able to maintain they thought and focus with each track. Nothing here really caught my attention.
Neil Young & Crazy Horse
5/5
This is the Neil I feel like people always talk about. Cinnamon Girl is such a bad ass song and even the slower songs in the middle of the album just have a certain vibe that helps carry it through.
Thelonious Monk
3/5
This was pretty good but nothing stood out like some other albums of similar genre.
Yes
4/5
These guys can jam. Their bassist is actually pretty incredible.
Peter Gabriel
2/5
Yeah still not understanding how this guy works. Love some of his singles out there but he goes down some weird avenues with his music.

5/5
Great stuff here from Jimmy. That saxophonist is something else too.

The Band
4/5
Pretty chill vibes and some good tracks in there.
Thin Lizzy
4/5
This is a great album and will look to purchase for my In-laws vynyl collection. Thin Lizzy has some serious talent. Would give a 4.5 but ya know.
David Gray
4/5
Had like a new age american folk vibes. Pretty easy listening and Babylon is a fantastic song. 3.5 rounding up.
Elliott Smith
3/5
Some songs seems fun but the overall energy seemed kinda low. Idk nothing stood out too much but there were some fun tracks.
The Darkness
4/5
Yo this shit is actually pretty good. The dude’s voice is a little much at times but it’s still impressive none the less.
The xx
3/5
Had some fun parts in it but not really into it at same time. It was ok but idk.
TV On The Radio
2/5
Nah just nothing here that needs to be talked about in my opinion. Pretty boring but I guess some lyrics and some sounds.
4/5
Some pretty jazzy stuff from War. I thought for some reason it’d be a little different but this was still nice. 3.5 rounding up.
Janelle Monáe
3/5
There was some songs I could really jam to and was very excited where the album was heading. Then, I thought the album was over and Spotify changed albums, yet to my surprise, it was the same.
Led Zeppelin
4/5
Lot more blues than 3 I feel and all better sound.
Jeff Buckley
1/5
A shitty emo John Meyer if he even plays.
Caetano Veloso
4/5
I dig it. Some fun numbers on here.
Dr. Dre
4/5
I personally feel like Chronic 2001 has more to offer. This is still great though and would be fantastic to go back and see this blow up like it did just a little more older than when I was for the time. Not a 5 because like I stated, 2001 is better to me so gotta knock a solid 4.5 down.
Miles Davis
5/5
This album is so good. Just gets ya in a nice feel.
Beatles
5/5
Really chill easy fun pop songs from then Beatles. Solid 4.5 rounding up.
Sade
3/5
Some nice slow r&b but it also kinda feels like the melodies are a little repetitive. Smooth Operator is a solid hit.
Muddy Waters
5/5
This is the Blues.
The Killers
5/5
Hot Fuss is great. Couple songs kinda change the mood a bit but overall there are too many good songs on here.
Jefferson Airplane
4/5
Pretty decent album. Couple of my favs from this group on here. I thought they would be a little more psychedelic but seemed to have a but more structure than I have anticipated. Solid 3.5 rounding up.
Burning Spear
5/5
If you like Bob, you’ll probably like this. 4.5 rounding up for Reggae love.
Billy Bragg
4/5
This is like Folk Punk. It’s pretty relaxing to listen to. Solid 3.5 so rounding up.
The Flaming Lips
4/5
Pretty fun.
fIREHOSE
3/5
Some pretty fun songs. Bass and guitar stand out on quite a few tracks. Not exactly what I was expecting from a band called Firehose, but it’s good.
Eagles
4/5
Goes a bit country. Some classics on here. Solid 4.5 but cant’t give it a 5 for some reason.
The Cars
4/5
Kinda loses it’s energy through the album but still good tunes.
Neil Young
2/5
2.5, a bit too slow.
The Allman Brothers Band
4/5
These guys know how to jam. One of one of the better quality live albums I’ve heard.
Van Halen
5/5
This is a fantastic album. Guitar work on every track is top notch.
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
5/5
Tp does it like no other and a lot of good ones on here.
Jungle Brothers
4/5
I dig it. Some beats and bars
Fugazi
4/5
Pretty fun punk album
Metallica
5/5
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Beth Orton
2/5
🥱
Jeff Beck
5/5
This was great and glad I found this album. Really something nice to put on and have play.
The Fall
3/5
Pretty cool album. Would be great to hear live in an english pub.
Gorillaz
5/5
It’s a 4 but nostalgia and remembering a couple old bangers off here boosts it up to a 5.
Red Hot Chili Peppers
5/5
Some of these base lines alone earn 5 stars.
Pet Shop Boys
2/5
You actually smell the 80’s
Radiohead
4/5
This album has some pretty good tracks. Gets a little emo but really the work of guitar and drums sometimes carries it pretty well.
Leonard Cohen
1/5
Ill never try or tell anyone to listen to this.
The Hives
5/5
Fun punk rock album here. Good energy. 4.5 gonna round up.
The Go-Betweens
1/5
Pretty boring to me and I dont remember much of anything as I write this.

John Coltrane
3/5
Some of this music really pulls you in.
Madonna
2/5
Idk some fun rock techno stuff but not really my stuff
Led Zeppelin
4/5
Classic Rock radio jaded me into giving this a 5 but this has almost all their bigger hits from said radio.
Billy Bragg
2/5
First some tracks had some good energy and vibes but it seemed to taper off towards the middle and later part of this album. 2.5 goin down.
Koffi Olomide
3/5
Pretty fun vibes. Had a lot of Latin feel to it.
The Who
3/5
The Who are fantastic and have some really incredible songs. That being said, there really never has been or at least one that I can recall, a Who album that was great album to listen to front to back. Same feelings here still. 3 maybe 3.5 but staying at 3.
Janis Joplin
5/5
What a fun album. So much passion coming from Janis.
Pavement
3/5
Honestly had me jamming a bit at times
Throbbing Gristle
1/5
This is just a bunch of sounds and audio clips put together. This is shit.
Fela Kuti
5/5
Ginger Baker played drums with one of the greatest trios ever created. His talents shine here as well. Really fun album.
Elvis Presley
4/5
Pretty good but I feel like this album may have some context too it cause the other live album in this list was better. 3.5 goin up but kinda want to fo down.
2/5
Kind of a lot of ruckus and this shouldn't effect the rating but it was hard to find this album.
Rufus Wainwright
2/5
Nothing terrible and nothing great.
Fiona Apple
3/5
I like the way she sings. It feels mysterious and is captivating actually. Makes you want to listen to lyrics even more. 3.5 gonna keep it a 3 but some good reasons for a 4.
Lenny Kravitz
4/5
This is a fun album from Lenny
Joni Mitchell
2/5
Pretty slow. Wish there wad a little more energy from her.
Gillian Welch
2/5
If you like country there are a couple tracks that are pretty good otherwise this isn’t something you must hear.
3/5
She probably gathered a lot of attention back in the day for some of these songs.
Grizzly Bear
1/5
Noperz
Aerosmith
4/5
Aerosmith has some jams
The War On Drugs
3/5
At first I thought this was another ONE of those ONE albums on this list. It came around though and really has some tracks of some like modern folk(Americana)vibes.
Queen
3/5
Killer queen is great and there was a song that didnt even sound like queen but there just isn’t a lot here to make me want to come back.
Simple Minds
2/5
This could be the most 80’s sounding album on this list.
Talking Heads
4/5
3.5 rounding up cause it’s the Talking Heads. This is my least favorite of their albums, also why it’s probably more of a three than a 4⭐️
The Doors
5/5
If this was their first, that’s pretty impressive. I don’t know(Lots of LSD and mushrooms probably so I do know😉) what’s goin in Ride the Snake but the rest of this album is fantasic.
Michael Jackson
5/5
Lives up ro the hype
Dr. Octagon
3/5
Some pretty good beats. Some ok songs but I think conceptually artists like MF Doom and CzarFace are much more must listen than Dr Oct
Mylo
3/5
Some fun tracks on this. I still feel like the EDM music I enjoy has a little more energy or goes harder a bit. 3.5 goin down.
Missy Elliott
5/5
I should’ve listened to more Missy back in the day. Real fun how she rapped with some pretty famous talented rappers and actually rapping with them to their styles and flows. She’s extremely talented.
Deep Purple
5/5
One of the better live albums I’ve heard. Be prepared for jam sessions.
Fun Lovin' Criminals
3/5
Fun album but for some reason it feels like they are missing something or just maybe lacking some kind of energy. Gives me Atmosphere vibes but IMO Atmosphere should be here on this list over these guys.
Tricky
2/5
Wasn’t into it. Some tracks I started to enjoy but just wasn’t feeling the energy.
Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band
1/5
I mean look at the cover. Nonsense inbound.
10cc
3/5
Some ok tracks but not really anything memorable.
CHIC
4/5
Sounds like some heavy funky disco stuff. A couple really cool tracks on here and it’s actually pretty easy to listen to. Gonna round it up from 3.5 to 4.
Mudhoney
4/5
This is fun. First time I heard a Grunge Surf Punk artist. Gonna round up a solid 3.5 to a 4.
Neil Young & Crazy Horse
2/5
Neil young just doesn’t do it for me. I don’t hate it by any means and he has some good lines but its just not really something I would ever play for people or tell anyone to go looking for it.
Echo And The Bunnymen
2/5
Not horrible and not as bad as I thought based on artist and album name. Still 2.5 and Im goin down.
King Crimson
3/5
This is a blend between like classical and classic rock. Like if Pink Floyd would collab with Mozart or something. Some good moments but still missing something.
Solomon Burke
4/5
I could listen to this quite a bit. Nice easy fun listening.
Tom Waits
4/5
Somehow this guy seems to grab your attention and it could be possibly because the singing is just that bad. The melodies and the lyrics is the true gravitational force at work.
Elvis Costello & The Attractions
2/5
I just don’t like Costello that much. His singing throws me off for whatever reason.
The Stooges
4/5
Surprised with horns. I bet this blew peoples minds in the 70s and in a good way. 3.5 goin up.
U2
2/5
U2 sucks. What a bunch of cry singing. Joshua Tree is ok and probably belongs on this list, this is mostly just bono crying on every track.
Rufus Wainwright
2/5
Boring and whiney
The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion
4/5
Punk surf blues. This was pretty fun. Gotta say Jon Spencer and whoever else really lay it down.
Television
4/5
One that is better than expected again. These guys have some good energy. Like early rock roll with slight punk vibes.
Stephen Stills
5/5
Really great album. Heavy on the blues with some great folky lyrics.
Barry Adamson
3/5
Some pretty upbeat jazz.
4/5
Kinks are fun as hell. Really good enerygy.
The Adverts
4/5
Some more pretty solid punk I never heard of.
Shivkumar Sharma
4/5
If you ever catch yourself boppin and grovin along to some instrumental music in your local apothecary or candle store, it’s probably this.
Otis Redding
5/5
Truly a masterpiece here. Not sure if he OG on dome classic tracks but his version is great as well. Had a lot of fun with album and I imagine seeing him love back in day would be amazing.
Lou Reed
2/5
This ok but nothing that will move you. It’s 2.5 but Im gonna go down.
Air
2/5
There were some interesting tracks on this. Better than expected and easy listening. Nothing rememberable though or would recommend.
Elis Regina
5/5
This album was great. Some jazzy vibes with latin flair. Some tracks are like new age lounge singing with latin flair.
Pere Ubu
2/5
Lot of nonsense. The dance party track was kinda fun.
The Specials
5/5
SKA! If ya enjoy SKA you will enjoy this.
Public Enemy
5/5
Flava Flav! Some good shit here.
Boston
5/5
One of the best albums in this list
Tom Waits
4/5
Tom’s stuff is kinda ridiculous to listen to but it’s somehow very captivating to listen to. 3.5 maybe lower but rounding up.
Fleetwood Mac
5/5
One of the best albums in this list.
Scott Walker
2/5
Like musical rock or something. Idk, not for me.
Living Colour
4/5
Pretty good tracks. Energy pretty good too.
Meat Puppets
4/5
Some like beach grunge vibes. Also OG “Lake of Fire” just as good.
Ministry
2/5
Just hard to sit back and listen to metal for me if it’s not live.
The Last Shadow Puppets
3/5
If you like Arctic Monkeys you may like this. This has a slightly diff vibe though and not as my jam.
Supergrass
4/5
This album was fun and good to listen to. Doesnt quite get a 5 but solid 4-4.5.
Madonna
3/5
Couple hits on here and it’s good to see Madonna still had it later in her career.
Iron Maiden
5/5
Run To The Hills on here is an incredible track. Every bit of that song is at peak and should be played above it. I need Metal like this to sneak back at this kinda of talent. Who will be the next Metal band to reach a level like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Metallica?
Kanye West
5/5
Ye comes through again. Hey may be cray but tracks just flow out of that brain.
Beatles
3/5
Pretty mellow album really. Still good but just not what I want from Beatles.
Public Image Ltd.
2/5
Just the instrumentals actually may be a better album. This moan talking is pretty annoying after track one.
My Bloody Valentine
2/5
Some songs the band is good. But the singer is crying on everything and has little to no energy. I’ll pass.
Basement Jaxx
2/5
Thought this was gonna be Metal. Had some easy listening dance music that you were in some clothing store in the mall. But, as we all know, those songs you hear while shopping are ones everyone sings to or ones that don’t pull you away from conversation or thought.
Nitin Sawhney
1/5
I would never put this on a list like this unless it’s what you should not do.
Raekwon
5/5
WU TANG 4 EVER
Dexys Midnight Runners
4/5
I need to come back to this album. Not what I was expecting and really good to listen to. I didnt have any track in particular that stood out but the overall energy of the album and the music is good. If i had some liked tracks from it it would easily be a 5 then.
The Kinks
4/5
The Kinks are like a nice blend of UK Rock almost like the perfect blend of The Stones and The Beatles. Another album with bot that many like is a 4 but this album is a solid 4.5.
Kings of Leon
4/5
Kings of Leon are talented all around. They have an energy and a flow that’s real easy to settle into. Not sure if this album is some of my fav from them but everyone is so good at what they are doing and you can hear it. 3.5 for me but gonna round up.
Bonnie Raitt
4/5
Great country album. It’s clearly not the even close to same genre anymore.
Big Star
3/5
It sounds soft but it is pretty good music but nothing too memorable. In The Streets brings back some That 70s Show nostalgia.
Grant Lee Buffalo
4/5
Way better than I anticipated. Like a younger, better singer, american Neil Young. Idk if he’s actually american or not but hopefully you pick up what Im throwin down. Kinda like a rocky folk and like og to what some like to call Americana now. Solid 4 star.
Hawkwind
2/5
That album cover is pretty freakin sweet. Music is alright.
Don McLean
4/5
Everyone knows why the music died! But, Don actually has some other decent tunes. Nice short little album and easy listening. Solid 3.5, gonna round up for Don in hopes someone will appreciate more than just his timeless classic.
Wild Beasts
2/5
It’s not weird but it’s definitely not captivating or that interesting.
Songhoy Blues
5/5
For not knowing really anything they are singing about SB really has some good stuff here. Probably my favorite intl record so far on this project.
Boards of Canada
4/5
Soft EDM? Idk but this album had vibes where you feel like this would be a rave for geriatrics. Also the message at the end is worth at least one star.
Supergrass
5/5
This was great. Feels like punk. Goin 5⭐️ cause I feel like it may somehow help these guys out.
The Triffids
3/5
Not something I would ever listen to ir seek out. It’s not bad by any means. It’s like a PG Nick Cave. Like a cross between Rod Stewart and Nick Cave.
Randy Newman
3/5
Ole Randy. This one wasn’t as fun as the other one on the list but it still fun. More chill.
Afrika Bambaataa
3/5
I feel like there is a lot idk about Afrika Bambaataa. Recognized Renegade of Funk which pretty cool. There’s something here that I can’t just want to go out and listen to it continuously. Still pretty good and probably were an inspiration to a lot of people I enjoy today.
Slipknot
4/5
Slipknot consistently surprises me with the talent. Drums are insane. Found myself early on saying ok guitar isn’t doing too much of anything fancy, then I quickly ate my words hearing a ridiculous solo come in. Corey is a unique talent alone with being able to sing the way he does. Id say his vocals and the drums really came through hard on this on from Slipknot.
Beastie Boys
5/5
I like em. So unique and just some guys taking some risks and paving ways for others.
The Clash
5/5
This is pretty good but not as good as I remember I feel. Train in Vain maybe one my fav songs so that helps a lot. Id say this album solid 4.5 but Train in Vain and a couple others take it to a 5.
The Beta Band
3/5
This was ok but nothing too exciting. Couple songs almost got me. I think it is good and they would be worth seeing live but it’s nothing I think I would actually go looking for.
k.d. lang
5/5
Albums like this is why Im thankful for this whole process. I really don’t know how I would’ve came across this. k.d.’s voice is one of the better ones I’ve heard and the band playing along side is just as sharp. One of my new all time country albums.
Gary Numan
3/5
Synth pop isn’t really my jam. Cars is ok and a couple others were alright. Not for me really though. 2.5 for me but Ill round up.
DJ Shadow
2/5
I didn’t expect an album by any DJ to be so mellow. Kinda meh really.
The Birthday Party
1/5
Yeah idk what is goin on here. Like thrash punk with some nick cave lyrics or something. Really not a lot goin on.
The Streets
2/5
Some fun talk singing here. Lyrics are fun and musically it’s like if Ross from Friend’s had talent. 2.5 goin fown.
Belle & Sebastian
3/5
Lol what an album cover. Anyways, not as bad as I thought it would be. Some easy songs to listen to. Im gonna go three because there’s not a lot to hate just nothing I enjoy.
Queen Latifah
2/5
I didnt really didnt care for this too much. Comparing to other females in same genre, Queen isn’t close to her peers especially Missy.
Os Mutantes
2/5
Like when France was trying to get into the “acid rock” scene. Not knowing french probably doesn’t help anything but really the music didn’t do anything for me.
The Byrds
4/5
Album has its moments. Like the vibes but not completely my jam.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
4/5
Yeah Yeah Yeahs has really surprised me. I don’t think this one is as good as their other on this list but this is still really good. 4 prolly 4.5.
The Pogues
3/5
Good to see where a band like The Dropkick Murphy’s had some inspiration from. Punk and The Jig just blend so well. 3.5 goin down.
Scott Walker
3/5
First 3 or 4 pretty slow but when Scott picks it up later on the album it gets fun. He has a really good voice and for some reason on some tracks bass came on strong. 3.5 gonna round down.
Milton Nascimento
4/5
Some fun moments on here. Lot of energy in some tracks. I don’t speak Portuguese but it’s still good and dude can sing.
4/5
Like a faster harder and more emo U2. Kinda better than U2. Solid 3.5 goin to 4. Twilight tried destroying Vampiric Lore.
The Jesus And Mary Chain
2/5
Not terrible. For some reason was thinking Metal and not 80’s soft rockish. It’s not bad but it couldn’t keep me interested.
David Bowie
2/5
I would’ve never guessed David Bowie having an album post 2000. Now I know why. The other Bowie albums were ok so having a third when apparently the year he died says enough about the person who made this list. There were probably close to almost 30 albums that year that are more deserving than this. Squabble when ya gobble I guess.
The Only Ones
2/5
Had some horns every now and then but no track or anything really grabbed my attention. 2.5 but gotta go one way or the other.
The Isley Brothers
5/5
Very nice soul album with some unforgettable tracks.
Paul Weller
4/5
Solid album here. Not what I was expecting at all.
Drive-By Truckers
3/5
This was alright. Fun to hear their interpretations of the Young Skinnard dispute and hear a southerner talk down on racism. Musically it has its moments too but lead singer voice isn’t most flattering all though it does fit the vibe. Solid 3.5 goin down.
This is a pretty good one from Faces. Not on Ooh La La level but could just as easily throw on qn jam anytime.
Earth, Wind & Fire
3/5
This was pretty good but I expected a little more upbeat dancy funk for some reason. I say solid 3.5 but goin down for me.
Love
2/5
Nothing here really stood out. It wasnt bad but there’s nothing there too much for me.
Hüsker Dü
3/5
Kinda like rough punky REM. Solid 3.
Mike Oldfield
2/5
Idk. Not really so Tubular. Sounds like Halloween them on opening track.
The Cult
5/5
The Cult is probably my favorite Hair Band now. Really good guitar and the singer isn’t scream singing and actually sounds pretty good. Glad to come across this one.
Saint Etienne
3/5
Pretty fun. Surprised a bit at times but no ooohs and ahhhhs. 3.5 goin down.
Air
2/5
Boring for me and nothing too interesting. Not bad but def not for me.
5/5
Iconic album and its that for a reason. The whole thing just feels warm and happy like sunshine.
Life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.
Slade
5/5
Is this the birth of hair bands in the 80s? I was adding this to the 80s genre playlist and I went back to make sure I was right and was off by a decade! Good stuff here, solid 4, easy 4.5 and I’m high we go high🤩
Country Joe & The Fish
3/5
Kinda cool. Sometimes long tracks it’s hard to keep focus and sometimes it starts to seem like multiple songs in one. Some good stuff but nothing that holds memory of interest.
Happy Mondays
3/5
Pretty fun. One of better EDM albums come through. 3.5 goin down.
Sonic Youth
1/5
So kinda sad emoish rock. Wasn’t really feeling anything on here and not memorable.
Maxwell
4/5
This had some cool funky moments with overall chill vibes. Good stuff, solid 3.5⭐️.
Rocket From The Crypt
4/5
Some good punk right here.
The xx
3/5
Ok the lyrics and the singing is a little bit of a let down at times but really overall feel and energy is great! Some really cool beats on here too. 3.5 but gonna go down.
Booker T. & The MG's
5/5
This album makes me want to go out gamble, fuck, and do drugs. Gets me in a weird mood that makes me feel like a mobster or something. Solid 4-4.5 goin up to 5.
The Bees
3/5
This is some pretty chill vibes. Not all is the best of listening but I found a track to add. Solid 3.
Roxy Music
1/5
Nope
SAULT
2/5
Some cool beats sometimes but not into it
Billie Holiday
2/5
Wasn’t that much of a fan. Some songs were ok but I thought I would like more from this than what I did. Id say probably a 3 but was 2.5 for me and gonna round down.
Cyndi Lauper
5/5
This is actually pretty fantastic. Good energy throughout.
Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five
4/5
I dig it but that Stevie Wonder song was kinda weird.
Big Black
2/5
I feel like this is ok for me but the idea behind this is list is something you should have to listen to. This isnt something everyone must listen to.
Leonard Cohen
1/5
Pure Shit
Johnny Cash
5/5
One of the greatest final bows an artist could ever give. Piece of absolute work right here. Vibes are bit melancholy but it fits.
Ice Cube
4/5
Cube has some great bars and I enjoy his style a lot more than other rappers. Some classics on here.
De La Soul
3/5
Solid 3.5 here but expected some more jams.
Def Leppard
5/5
This album is fantastic.
D'Angelo
2/5
Ok but def not need to listen
Björk
1/5
Add to albums to avoid for eternity.
Fatboy Slim
5/5
I mean bringing EDM to Pop world is pretty crazy. And listening to this it’s easy to understand why.
The Damned
2/5
Some ok punky rock but nothing too memorable for me.
Led Zeppelin
5/5
I feel like I’ve always seen talk about some numeral album of theirs. They all sleepin on this banger.
Beyoncé
5/5
Honestly from other Bee, this or Lemonade is her best work.
Fairport Convention
3/5
Some decent hippy classic rock. Some chill vibes but not really my style.
Nanci Griffith
3/5
Pretty decent country album. Didnt really pull me in though.
Iggy Pop
2/5
Yeah not that interesting to me. One decent song I thought but the rest weren’t really doin it.
The Rolling Stones
5/5
Not my favorite stones album but this one still surprises me a bit with how rock n roll these guys are.
PJ Harvey
1/5
No
Liz Phair
3/5
Actually not too bad. Not really for me to come back to, other than one song on here. Solid 2.5 gonna round up.
3/5
This was more enjoyable than anticipated. Was able to just let it go on repeat at work and was never really bothered by anything. Usually can’t listen to much music like this because the singing to me is a bit weird. I think this may be synth pop but idk. Either way solid 3⭐️
Cocteau Twins
1/5
Yeah this was some weird stuff
Pet Shop Boys
3/5
Some of the beats are amazing. The singing is blah. But them beats on some of these🔥🔥🔥
Duran Duran
3/5
Duran Duran is only talented synth pop and this album still just ok.
Joe Ely
4/5

Low vibes but chill. Kinda was expecting a little more here. 2.5 goin down.

Eric Clapton
5/5
Nice blues album here. If my memory is right, Phil Collins producing and on Drums.
David Holmes
2/5
Fun little album here with some cool beats. Nothing too exciting though.
Ramones
4/5
Punk at the heart of it. Lot of their songs kinda sound the same though. Still fun album for me. Solid 3.5 goin up.
Elvis Costello & The Attractions
2/5
He kinda goofy the more and more I hear of him. Unique voice. Nothing jaw dropping as far as music and lyrics though. Just really nothing to come back to for me.

5/5
Stones
Nico
1/5

Sarah Vaughan
5/5
I love this 1950s lounge music for some reason. Too me, I want this while eating dinner in a city.

4/5
Pretty solid. No thrills just easy listening music. Not as good as some others with the same type of lounge vibes. 3.5 and we will round up.

1/5
The Sugarcubes

4/5
This was fun and pretty enjoyable.

Some decent Yacht Rock here
Peter Frampton

Surprisingly good. Solid 3.5 but gonna go down for some reason.
Run-D.M.C.

The Gun Club
2/5
Some ok punk but not really for me. 2.5 goin down.
Megadeth
5/5
Not a big fan of the vocals of megadeath but boy oh boy is everything else top fucking notch. Blown away with the talent coming from these musicians🤟
Leonard Cohen
3/5
This is the only one from this guy that should be on this list and it still shouldn’t be there.
Paul McCartney
2/5
Some good music but nothing that is MUST listen. Paul did better things.

3/5
Its ok.
Little Richard
4/5
This is fun but it all kinda sounds the same. He very talented singer.
The Young Rascals
4/5
Lot more fun than anticipated.
Echo And The Bunnymen
2/5
Interesting parts but not really for me. 2.5 goin down.
Bruce Springsteen
2/5
Why you would ever try to make the state of Nebraska entertaining or remotely interesting by naming an album after seems ludicrous or a long shot attempt to maybe bring something to talk about to Nebraska. Nope. It’s just as boring and unforgettable as the state. Maybe that’s what Bruce was trying to do here🤷
Buena Vista Social Club
4/5
This is some good stuff.
Björk
1/5
The people who sit back and actually choose to listen this are very interesting people to me.
U2
2/5
More whining from Bono
Weather Report
3/5
Didnt know what I was getting into but it was pretty fun.
Pink Floyd
2/5
I listened before earlier in my years cause I was curious what was the Pink Floyd I love roots. This album is only good because you are so very grateful of what they went on to become.
The Cardigans
3/5
Its pretty ok. They have their one banger from the 90s but nothing else stood out or really pulled me in.
Van Morrison
5/5
What a piece of work! I think this album could always be on repeat. I don’t know what this album does but it makes me reminisce on my memories but also makes me feel like I’m going through someone’s cherished memories.
Ute Lemper
1/5
Yeah don’t get this one either…..
Ladysmith Black Mambazo
5/5
Its a solid four⭐️ but just because of the peace and ease I feel listening to it Im goin for a five. Its just so pleasant to listen to.
Funkadelic
3/5
Some decent funky tunes. Not available on spotify.
Kacey Musgraves
4/5
Kacey has a wonderful voice. I like this more than I thought I would. Very easy going music and feels different than most generic pop country now a days for the mouth breathers. I don’t know if Id personally come back to it but I wouldn't shy away from telling people its a decent to listen to as well. 3.5 gonna round up.
Stephen Stills
5/5
Stephen Stills is so good.
The Mars Volta
3/5

Very bluesy. Kinda like a rougher creedence. Solid 3.

Not for me.
Malcolm McLaren
5/5
Blew my mind. This is fun as shit. Gonna give it a 5 cause I believe it needs more recognition.

5/5
I understand some of the distaste that comes with hair bands. Def Leppard is S-tier in this category though🤟
The 13th Floor Elevators
3/5
This is pretty good hippie rock. Id call it acid rock but it feels more jammy than something really experimental. Not bad at all.
Willie Nelson
5/5
I think Ill give it a five just because it has a feel to it. Very easy to listen to and really probably is only country for the fact Willie is singing. Also feels like album that belongs in a collection.

Buff can play on some songs! But its still kinda bleh. But, gotta go 3 cause Bluebird has one of the better acoustic jams I ever had to privilege to hear.

2/5
Couple ok parts but this album is also really hard to find. And honestly probably not worth the trouble considering there’s a lot better than this out there.

2/5
Pretty slow and mellow album except for Yellow which slaps. I really could care for rest of it.

2/5
I feel like this is the kinks trying to be deep or more artsy idk. Didnt work for me compared to their other more traditional kink punk jams.
The Auteurs
2/5

4/5
Great punk album. Not sure why I love hearing a marbled mouth brit singing punk but it is fantastic almost every time.
Aimee Mann
1/5
Whatever you do, get ready to be bored. She sings boring is the only way I can describe her. Almost female version of a dylan without all the other talent.

3/5
Bruce is pretty solid. This album not as good as Born In, but still has some decent tracks. Seems a little mellow. 3.5 gonna go down.
Incubus
5/5
Really surprised to see Incubus on this list. I like S.C.I.E.N.C.E a little better but this is a fantastic album. Such good energy and songs. They throw some jazzy vibes in there on some tracks. Truly a unique piece of work.
David Crosby
3/5
There were a couple cool jammy tracks and the rest were pretty chill.

3/5
Sneakily fun. No bangers but something to sneak in when you need a little something different.
OutKast
5/5
Great album. One of the best hip-hop/rap albums out there. They touch different styles in music and it really shows you some depth when the words make your mind race with the beat of the body.
The White Stripes
5/5
Its amazing what two people can put together. The album seems to mellow out a little which kinda ruins the momentum and the energy some tracks bring. In the end though I think this can be played for and enjoyed by most.
Röyksopp
2/5
Some ok stuff. Not anything fun enough to come back to. 2.5 down.
John Grant
2/5
Some kinda funny songs with some like slow melodies. Like tone down non parodies of Weird Al.
Black Flag

Steely Dan
4/5
Very chill. Lots of sax but i guess thats to be expected. Not a 5 but a 4.

The National
1/5
Very boring

4/5
Gonna go up I think. Its 3.5 but man did the 3rd track piss me off. There is some good guitar and just music in general but that track was ten minutes of a waste of time and everything.
Mariah Carey
3/5
I think I like more Pop Mariah than I do R&B Mariah and that is what this is. She can sing but the whole flow of the album is too slow for me.
Miriam Makeba
