Electric Prunes
The Electric PrunesHow have I never heard of this band? That’s because they suck.
How have I never heard of this band? That’s because they suck.
This is really good you bish
A new wave masterpiece
One of the greatest albums of all time
So gooooooooddddd
I got my mojo working baby! Great blues/jazz and the live feel elevated this for sure.
I would give it a 2.5 if I could but it gets a 2. It was catchy and poppy as well as twangy.
Come for hallelujah but stay for his amazing voice. Mojo pin starts like what I think would be playing when I walked into heaven then just unloads with the guitars and drums! Great songs and just the voice of an angel 5/5
Such a fun album with many great songs! A couple throwaways keep it from being a 5/5. Find the river is my fave!
The perfect REM album! Perfect Circle and Shaking Through are the standouts of all standouts
What a voice, lots of great songs and it was a very fun listen!
Reminds me of my youth, so many of these songs were in heavy rotation, on the radio and on MTV. Stand out tracks are glory days my hometown Cover Me, I’m On Fire period so many great songs such a good album.
I gave this three listens and I really wanted to like it. It was bold and adventurous and had parts that were great! I can hear Vampire Weekend stole from this though they perfected it!
This was fun to listen to and I think the stage banter elevated it. I thought the songs themselves were good but not great!
Just a seminal 90s album, so many great hooks and soaring choruses! I still remember my 21 year old self buying this and playing the fuck out of it. Great thing is it still holds up!
Overall the album was ok, 2 all time tracks elevate this for sure but otherwise an ok listening experience
My teenage years was dominated by Van Halen, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, etc. the guitar work was amazing, David Lee Roths vocals are a win!!
It was an enjoyable listen but didn’t really have any standout tracks that would bring me back.
I just couldn’t get into it
I thoroughly enjoyed this and has really great songs!!! All time great but a couple of songs were only ok.
Much better than I thought, I liked the jazz feel
One of my favorites!
Well I love me some grunge of course by 96 I was full on into Britpop and punk so I never heard this one. There were some great songs and mostly good ones.
Not much to say, I liked it but didn’t love it and most likely wouldn’t revisit again
One of my favorite bands and such a great debut!!!
Great voice and I enjoyed it more than I thought but still not something I would ever listen to again.
Bowie!!! Minus the Stones cover this is a classic!!!
Ok it’s the Beatles sooooooo
I love the guitar
Not my thing, obviously great musicians
Very eclectic and enjoyable!!!
One of my favorites with my favorite Zep song -since I’ve been loving you.
Good album but not great
I love the mode!!!!
This was a lot of fun!!
What can you say that hasn’t already been said.
Never been a fan of Neil Young but there are some good songs on here!
Great album and will listen again
Super groovy!!
Just could not get into it
I mean come on! One of my favorite bands of all time
I thoroughly enjoyed this album!!!
Love the vibe!!
Stevie Wonder brought the funk!
That was a good album and I love Alice Cooper as a human 🤣
One of the best albums of the 70s!!!
Have I said how much I love this band!!!
Just not a fan of jamming out for 17 minutes
I thoroughly enjoyed this but wouldn’t just put it on, but if it was on I would he nodding my head in approval
So good! Better than beef heart and crack
I love the inventiveness of the melodies and the falsetto!!
It’s the Beatles
It was nothing to write home about
I do like me some Paul Weller
A few really good songs, mostly just eh
Fun, but not memorable.
The title track is a revelation
Talking Heads are a great band!
I really enjoyed this one a lot!
Some good songs and I like the live feel but wouldnt listen to the whole album again
Even though this is his second album this is the beginning of a run of amazing albums that span the 60s. So many great songs with just Dylan his guitar and harmonica
Such a great album! World Leader Pretend is one of my favorites of theirs
I liked it, not a huge fan of rap/hip hop
Such a fun album!
I definitely prefer mid 80s-mid 90s Cure better but still a great album
I liked this album I would give a 3.5
We talked about it all day!! Epic!!
Did we expect anything else
Just a great album 4.5
Good alternative album
Great fun album will listen again
Not the deep voice I was expecting from later releases but overall not a bad listening experience
It was decent not great
Great background music and I actually would listen to this again
More great background music
It was somewhat enjoyable with three songs from my childhood but wouldn’t listen again
Such a fun album!!
Teenage incest non withstanding this was very enjoyable
Some great songs and some filler
Very 60s but nothing I would revisit
So silky smooth.
Great southern rock!!
Bleh 🤮🤢
Putting it on for nap times
Schools out is a classic but that’s it
Love this album
This ain’t it 🤣
I’m giving it through with the combination of both albums.
So gooooooooddddd
This reminds me so much of my middle school years!
I’m definitely team Oasis but you can’t deny how good this album is!
High Bryan will give this a four but sober. Bryan gives it a 3
Helllll fucking yessssss

This album is near perfect and just reminds me of my childhood.
This album is soooooo goooood!!!

It was great musically very inventive, but I would never listen to this whole thing again.
Love it!
I’m not that big of a fan of rap
🤷🏻♂️
One of the best albums of all time
Love her voice and paired with the wonderful inventive music is a win
Did we expect anything less
Wild Word and Father and Son are all time greats
Rock opera done right!
Great late 90s!
Cmon it’s a 5
Just so chill and so good. Want to light some candles, drink wine, and enjoy!
Great 70s rock album!!
I enjoyed it but wasn’t very memorable
Here comes your 5 star review!
I liked the title song but not much else
Come for the pie but stay for the rest of the tunes!
Great album the only knock I have was listening to these amazing songs made me wish I was hearing these versions with a better singer
Loved the first song but the rest were pleasant enough
The songs were well written but it gets knocked down by the out of tune singing
A few decent songs and great harmonies
I really liked this one but probably wouldn’t revisit very often if ever
Great album!
None of the hits but still a stellar album
Hey I like Beck! Let’s do a shittier version
How have I never heard of this band? That’s because they suck.
Just not a big fan of rap though big poppa slaps, the porn interlude not so much
This is garbage
Arcade is definitely fire!
Again I just don’t care for rap
Black Wings is the only reason this isn’t a 1 star
I just adore this album
Just such a fun album to listen to!
I mean cmon so good and a 50% Beatles album though all Beatles solo albums just lack the magic of all four of them together. Still a solid 5!
Just a great album start to finish
The end of an era with Roth leaving after this album.
A revelation!
There is a reason this songs makes so many GOAT conversations
Fun listen though country is not my thing
I’ll be damned if I didn’t think this was pretty good
Do I like Neil Young? I think so!!
Not good
Great album! I preferred the second half over the first but solid throughout
Great album!!
Dad rock! Hey I’m a dad
Britpop gold with Robbie doing his best Liam Gallagher on some songs
OK I really like this albym! Time is an all-time classic
Peak Stones
Just great indie Music
I wish they broke it up in shorter songs but either way I really liked it
Radiohead just being Radiohead
Still not the biggest fan of rap but Kanye brings some great beats
Loved the first song and he has a good voice but it’s country
It was…ok
For rap it isn’t that bad
I liked it better than the other one but not by much
A fun but predictable blues album
Bowie at his peak
Very serviceable Brit pop
The angst!!
The 80s personified
PJ = Rocks!
Classic Arcade!!
Groooooooovy!
Love this album
I’ve got a fever and the only prescription is not yo listen to this again. There is promise to this though
The first in the the really depressing trilogy. Robert Smith had to start making poppy songs for a bit after this one
I will not be associating with this band
Eh
Pure genius!!
This made me want to eat people’s brains
Great album! Prince is very talented
Just a stellar album!
A fun live album
This album is beyond epic!
I loved it, I picture walking around New Orleans
One of my favorite albums of all time!
This was a great album very mid 60s!!
A new wave masterpiece
It wasn’t half bad so half it gets
Just put it on and don’t pay attention
Ok I liked this waaaayyyy more than I thought I would
Some all time great songs with some ok songs
A fucking masterpiece!!
Beautiful and annoying at the same time..beautifully crafted songs ruined by awful singing and awful harmonies. Bleh
Of course Hendrix is super talented though some of these songs went on longer than they should
Caroline says it’s alright
Very pleasent album though I kept waiting for buzz and woody to make an appearance
Sir Psycho Sexy can suck my kiss!! This came out my senior year and yes some of these songs are over played but still just goood old nostalgia!!
Three all-time bangers otherwise it’s OK
it suffers from some 80s production, but overall not too bad
Some decent songs, but something I would never listen to again
David Bowie leaves behind Ziggy and becomes the great white duke. The shitty cover of across the universe non withstanding still a stellar album!
I’ll have to admit I was a little disappointed by this album since they have another route I really like
Quality seconds I’ll never get back
Bollywood is wild, I’ll admit I enjoyed this way more than I thought
Three all-time great songs a couple good ones, but most were just mid
I mean she did tell me to spit on her snatch 🤷🏻♂️
One of the greatest by one of the greatest
Some good old glam/punk rock
First half bleh second half decent
Cool, harmonies and great musicians I can see why people like this. I’m just not one of them.
A couple of songs sounded like some Bob Dylan deep cuts otherwise just not good
One of the greatest live albums ever
If you came looking for songs like I’m not in love you’ll be disappointed much like I was
The energy is there for sure but the tunes not so much
One of the greatest albums ever much like Rumors and Abbey Road. Just a perfect album
Great singer and 2 really good songs but I would never revisit
This was an amazing album!
This is a no skip masterpiece
Great songs and will always remind me of dad
More like the average Alex Harvey band
This album rocks!!
Some great songs with some killer harmonies but over all not my thing
I love New Order!!
Great album!
The title track was great, the rest not so much
Absolutely amazing the only low point is weirdly Ozzys vocals
Milk is one of the sexiest songs ever!
Such interesting beats/samples but the rapping itself is just terrible
David Bowie and Iggy Pop equal awesome
Great chill album
Great alt country and yes, suede head is on Bona drag and Viva hate
Let’s make Bob Dylan less interesting
So many amazing songs, and so many people are influenced by this band
Great album!
I just can’t tell if I like this or not, it’s interesting but yet boring 🤷🏻♂️
Just not my bag
I can get behind county like this
It sounded like the band got high and went in the garage with just a bunch of parts of songs and just hit record and you know what? It sounds good
Just beautiful
Really good but not great
One of the greatest albums of all time
Wonderfully weird
You can tell the Strokes studied this album!
I mean what else can I say that hasn’t been said
Elvis reconnects with the Attractions and drops another banger!
Fuck you I won’t do what you tell me!
Solid blues but nothing spectacular
I saw them tour this album and it still holds up! 4.5
Pretty good but that’s about it
30 minutes packed with punky goodness! 4.5
The album that made me a radio head fan… No skips
I actually really enjoyed this
This is how you do interludes
I was excited to listen to this but it was just boring
I know you like to think your shit done stink and this doesn’t
She can definitely sing but not nearly as good as the previous one
I enjoyed this way more than I thought 3.75
I just couldn’t get into it
It was ok
There is some stuff I really liked and some stuff I kind of liked. 3.75
A killer album no “Bones” about it
This is my least favorite of their 4 studio albums and still a solid 5!!
Mid 20s me liked this better than 50 year old me liked it but still a nostalgic good time. 3.5
So many amazing songs! A must listen for sure
I love this album!!
Definitely an explosion
This was ok though Brother Woodward was really good!
Pleasant enough
What a tour de force
So many amazing songs and that voice!!!
I felt like all of the songs sounded the same but Ace of Spades is a banger
🤘🏼
This is really good you bish
Will now be forever part of my Christmas listening
Just groovy goodness
Stevie at his peak
Probably the greatest album of all time
I’m sure when it was released it was groundbreaking, now it’s just boring
At least it was only 33 minutes
The second half was my favorite but this didn’t raise my spirit
I loved this! 3.75
Bruce’s golden era
“Psycho” killer from start to finish
Just crooney goodness
Excuse me but this was amazing! Obviously Solisbury Hill is the standout but here comes the flood was a close second. 4.5
The beats were cool and he’s a good rap artist but just not my thing
I definitely like old school rap better but still not enough
I always found this album to be kind of boring
Cmon it’s the Beatles!
I was just cloudbursting while running up that hill ❤️
Loved it!!
I mean they made a song for our boy Justin 2.75
I’ve always loved this album but the mixing is awful..absolutely no bass so it’s a 4
That voice!!!
I love this album!!
what is this? Again no Weezer blue album but this?
Other than the title track making me think of the sandlot I just found this to be very frustrating. Very similar to hearing songs you know done by an artist they would play in an elevator.
I loved Ozzys voice on this one and Changes was my favorite
Was never really a fan of this band
Added to my rotation
The Dodger connection makes it higher but I just find rap boring
Toooooo country
Interesting but not interesting enough
I really liked the guitar, the Sultan of Swing and opening track were my favorite
If I had headphones and a lot of pot this would be a 5 but it’s a 3.5
Just generic r&b
Chris Cornell’s voice!
Great 80s new wave
Great 80s singer/songwriter
My favorite John Lennon solo album
Love Joni ❤️
No thanks
Love this album
Soooooo good
Someone listened to Jane’s Addiction…I didn’t hate it
I only listened to the highlights
He is in fact a soul machine
Take out mother and it’s a perfect album
Dayum this is a banger only getting marked down because I wouldn’t be able to sing along
Ehhhhhh
This album rocked my socks off
All Mod Pros!!
Good times indeed
This wasn’t half bad
Get the LED out!!!!
The beginning of this album had me in a chokehold but the second half was meh
Like 1960s punk
It is so hard to have a double album of all killers but Stevie did it.
Great album!!
I found this to be quite enjoyable and inventive but will never listen to this again
He’s got the voice but not my favorite batch of his songs
The best Solo album by a Beatles, it falters a little at the end but the highs are just too high for anything less than a 5
Definitely heroes!
Ya mama is one of my favorite rap songs ever!
This is country I can get behind! 3.75
Musically it’s great and he has a great voice! Sing a song for you and Dream Letter were my favorite
Andy Bell from this band joined Oasis in the later years and I enjoyed his oasis time more than this but still some things I liked.
Well I’m hooked
So many iconic songs
The best reason to be in prison
All I was missing was chips, salsa, tacos, and a margarita
If this was a single album would probably be top 5 of all time but will have to settle for just being one of the best all of all time
Don’t you want me is an all time classic while the rest is just eh
Loved it!
There were a couple moments in the first song where I said here we go and they never did. Points for being musically proficient
This album is absolutely incredible! Atmospheric and catchy
Was it interesting? Yes Was it inventive? You bet Was it good? Nope
Just a rocking good time!!!
Love in the dark, million years ago, and all I ask of you is one of my favorite three song run!
This was some good singer song writer stuff here!
Not as good as their classics but still a banger!
What a great debut
This was incredible, top 5 of albums I’ve never heard before. I was bopping my head the whole listen!
So chill and boring
Death in Vegas is right, I find electronica to be repetitive and boring and this was no exception
Some great songs on here but I miss Garfunkel
This was pretty solid!
Great guitar work but otherwise it’s mid
There are some good songs on here and she can definitely sing
Not the biggest fan of live albums but this is a banger
The guitar, the voice, the orchestration ❤️
Souvenir is one of my favorite 80s songs
My favorite Springsteen album!!
The album that introduced me to Beach House!
Good head banging fun!
This album was deserving of all awards it won!
So groovy! I’m going to have to dive in to more of their albums!!
The title track is an all time classic, the rest is some pretty decent background music
I could write a dissertation on how much I love this album. My favorite album from my favorite band!
Block rocking beats and setting sun were bangers but like with most electronic albums it gets too repetitive. Bonus points for me actually buying this CD when it came out.
I really enjoyed this album!
Mostly just drums and guitar and it just kills it!
There is some good stuff on here but overall it’s just mid
Ziggy who?? The thin white duke lives!!
Now if I had chips and salsa it may have been better
Walk this way and get the toys in the attic while I get out my 10 inch record and spin it round and round while you share my sweet emotion!
Great singer songwriter ❤️
The first half of this album was stellar! 3.75
Not as good as her 90s output but still beautiful and heartbreaking
One of the great surprises on this list. Carole King/Carly Simon go country
One of the greatest hard rocks albums of all time!
This was neither wonderful nor a rainbow
They definitely got better on subsequent albums
Pure metal genius!!!
The sage was amazing the rest would be better if I was trippin
This was right up my alley!
This album was 🔥
The album that started my love affair with the pumpkins! Not a bad song on here!
The aggression is real, I could see my younger angrier self just banging my head ti this but alas I’m much older now and enjoy more melody
I can hear some Pogues and Belle and Sebastian in this. 3.5
Why album generator? Why???
This was a lot of fun!!
I definitely like older country
Not the biggest fan of rap but I quite enjoyed this
This came out right in the middle of my punk era and this was an absolute banger. I saw them tour this album and they were amazing!
What kind of fuckery is this? The best kind!!
Enjoyable but yet forgettable at the same time
I really did try but alas I didn’t enjoy it
The melodies, the harmonies are all gold. If you take out the country twang this would be a solid 5 but alas it’s a 4
It’s jazzy, it’s groovy, it’s rocking, and it is tooooooo damn long
I remember getting up early for my 5am swim practice and putting on MTV and the video for silent all these years came on and I was hooked. I bought the album that weekend and it’s one of those rare albums that you love on the first listen!
The orchestration on this is top notch! Great songs!!
Just a very mid live album
Music- A Vibe- A Voice- C So solid 4
I was really enjoying this album and bam jackass! Overall was a really good album just too long and like most double albums should be paired down to the best songs
Noisy in all the right ways!! Still too long for my liking but still a stellar offering
This spoke to my soul ❤️
This album was F.I.N.E.
When I heard the first couple of notes, I was like oh my God, but by the end, I was like oh my God, this is pretty good
Not my favorite Joni album but had some great songs on here
This album had some absolute bangers but mostly missers
This was incredibly boring
One of the best metal albums of all time!!!
Tight harmonies and good tunes equals a good album
One of the best debut albums!!
Great harmonies, very inventive and weird in the best ways
Brit pop for the win!!
This made me want to slit my wrists
Nowhere near the brilliance of Loveless
This was a very pleasant but forgettable listen
Loud, noisy, and melodic at the same time
If it was only 8 of the best songs this would be a 4 but I’m going with a 3.
There are some solid songs on here but all of the endless jamming was too much for me
All the songs sound the same…
I really wanted to like this but it was just ok
Bonus points for being the shortest album I’ve ever heard and I also only want a skank
Oh my god this 80s production
Only getting knocked down because he and Diddy should be in prison
Love this album! Not a single skip ❤️
Bjork in a pop band equals a lot of fun
Longest hour of my life
Some really great songs on here but the album as a whole was kind of boring.
Moondance, crazy love, and into the Mystic or standout songs, but otherwise just middle of the road
Very solid 80s hip hop album!
It’s aight
I enjoyed the parts when someone else was singing as I don’t enjoy Nicks voice.
There are some elements that show some good songwriting, but that 80s production is bleh
Chef cooked with this one
A rare double album that is all killer and no filler, though if they made this a single album, it would definitely rival for one of my favorite albums of all time
This album should stay in the dark 🤮
Sweet Baby James and Fire & Rain are all time greats but the rest is mid tier
Good but very forgettable
The harmonies hit as always!
For 80s hair metal this might possibly be the GOAT
Madonna could always reinvent herself
The beats were sick but
A pleasant surprise for what I thought I was going to get but not any more pleasant than a 3
The songwriting is there but the voice just grates
Slow country, punk, and Clint Eastwood were all standouts, but overall I found this to be a very mid to your album
If this is under construction, I want to hear the finished product because this was banging
Dylan goes full pop!
This album slaps!
A real treat!
A great album though I found the mix had the voice too high in it
Everything wrong with 80s music all rolled in one.. perfect way was slightly better than the rest of this hot garbage
I adored this album
Another example of why the late 60s is one of the best eras of music
I really enjoyed this but can’t say I loved it
Very solid
Loved the beats
The only thing knocking this down is this terrible late 80s production
90s Riot Girlesc!
Nope
90s PJ Harvey rules
I can see myself in the 60s smoking a cigarette drinking some wine and seeing this live
ABC as easy as 123… Four
It’s like the Arctic Monkeys decided they wanted to make a 60s album and they killed it
Spacey, groovy, jazzy, and way too fucking long
Hard pass
This was fun
I would definitely listen to this in exile
One of my top 50 favorite albums of all time!
This McQueen approves
Zero skips!
Jangly guitars- check Groovy bass- check Interesting sounding singer- check Is this the Smiths reincarnation
I’m a sucker for the theatricality and melodies
Ehhhhhhh
The OG indie band
Grungy but not great grunge
A poor mans Bowie on this album
Those Germans
Really?
This was fun
What a hell of a man and an album
Good tunes but overall pretty boring
One of the best pixies albums
Beats were mid and the feats were also mid
Definitely glad I heard this but probably would never listen again. 3.75
Top 20 in my list of 90s albums!
Hmmm I kind of liked it
Top 5 Britpop album!
Good jazzy rock
Mick and Keith start really writing their own songs and the Stones take off
If you like guitar solos then this is for you
Elvis Costello + Geoff Emerick equal awesome!
Crappy cover of Satisfaction non withstanding this was prettt good 3.5
I’m a sucker for the crooners
Another solid pulp album
Yawn 2.5
No sophomore slump here!
Not nearly as good as loveless but I still liked it
Early 2000s indie might be some of my favorite music
Loved the late 60s vibe but didn’t love the songs
Easily top 10 album of all time
Definitely on my lower end of Radiohead albums but still stellar
Book me a first class ticket on this airplane
I liked this one a lot, a lot of ambient, then some punk. Kind of an interesting mix
The ultimate punk album
Very 80s in the best way 3.75
Loved all the mixed genres and a solid Norwegian Wood cover!
I’m all for destroying Rock if it sounds like this. I was bopping my head the whole listen
I mean I believe in a thing called love is enough to give this a 4 but his voice and the rocking band behind him pushes it over the top!
The first album that got me into this band!
This was very interesting in a good way but not a great way. Watching Windows was stellar 3.25
This is one world where I enjoyed this listen though I will not revisit this one world 3.5
I have never been a big Nick Cave fan and this album did nothing to change that. Christina was indeed amazing
Morrissey goes solo and comes out swinging!
2 + 2 =5 is an absolute banger, this album is so inventive though not without some misses
So sultry
Madonna at her peak form!
Sometimes I felt like I was listening to a parody album to much more talented artists but there is nothing objectively bad
Just no, one of the worst albums on this whole list 1.75
Dark and brooding and damn those bass lines are sick
Another example of early 2000 indie being the best era of music
