Reviews (page 10 of 16)

5, duh. Good excuse to listen to it today

I made a little noise of excitement when I saw this album pop up. Dreams, Never Going Back Again, Go Your Own Way, The Chain, Gold Dust Woman… so many amazing songs.

A few weak songs, but it inspired to finally learn the finger picking on never going back again, so 5

Classic

This might be the perfect album.

2023/03/29 - Brilliant!

Legendary.

Amazing lyrics and sounds. A classic for sure.

This is an easy 5 star album. Every song is great, but that’s half the story. There’s also the multiple storylines of the band members colliding on this album. At a time where the band were the most dysfunctional, ost would have broken up by then. Instead they made one of the greatest albums of all time.

Wonderful

Home to one of the biggest diss tracks of all time, this album is a testament to the professionalism and sheer audacity of the band members. To loathe each other so much and still put out one of the most iconic albums of all time is mindblowing.

so good

Damn good soft rock. Hell, the best soft rock album out there, bar none. It also benefits from some of the greatest production quality of any album ever made. Even the cheap CD on a 2001 car stereo sounds clean as hell. I can't say anything more about this album that hasn't already been said. Just listen to it. Standout Songs: "Dreams" "The Chain" "Gold Dust Woman"

9th March 2023 Listened while on the flight out to Napoli for the weekend. What a dream this album is, the construction is perfection, the playing sublime and the singing is poetry.

True 5

Fun. Lots of great songs. F1 song. Great guitar.

Bright, lively, complex. Fun and light lyrics that are more complex than they appear to be. It's a classic. Perfect to listen to or have in the background. 5/5

I've listened to this album 100s of times

This is great music that gets white people turnt. It may be overplayed, or even overrated, but you can't argue that the bangers keep coming and they don't stop coming. This feels like a greatest hits album, something here everyone would enjoy.

Great album!

It’s one of the best

I can only echo what I'm sure everyone else has said about this iconic album. Fantastic from start to finish. I hope that every single person that got to see them live, treasured the opportunity and memories.

classic

some songs aren’t sad good as others but I’d say it deserves a 5 still

Best Song: The Chain Least Favorite: Never Going Back Again (Volksmusik), Songbird

Perfect album.. One of the best of all times. All songs are classic

Almost timeless, beautiful

Might be more memories than music at this point

Just an ASTOUNDING, incredible album through and through

Great album!

Ainda que não seja minha praia (sei lá qual é a minha praia), tenho que reconhecer que o album é uma preciosidade!

5/5 Do I really need to say something about this masterpiece album? Everybody knows it. Legendary album...

One of the strongest 5/5s I can possible give. This album has potentially one of the greatest stretches of songs in history, with Dreams going into Never Going Back Again into Don’t Stop into Go Your Own Way. One of the best albums of all time for sure.

Classic. Every single song stands alone, yet comes together to form a perfect album.

One of those perfect albums.

What can you say about Rumours that hasn't already been said? This is definitely one of my top 10 favourite albums.

Excellent album, so many memorable songs, all the more impressive given the issues within the group at the time. Stands the test of time.

Great. I can see why everyone likes this album.

Not much else that can be said about this album. The production is great and the songs are all classics. The weakest song on the album is "Oh Daddy" but it's still a good song. Imagine if "Silver Springs" had replaced "Oh Daddy."

This is an old very comfortable sweater that feels good every time you wear it. The honesty of the emotions reflects what was happening for the band members and made for a great album.

Good album i like it!!

BEST ALBUM EVER CREATED

I guess in the end is this an album that's list worthy and even though I haven't heard this album in years I knew almost every damn song like they're imprinted on my brain and they're pretty much all good with Second hand News, Dreams and The Chain being the best

So many bangers for wistfully looking out a window on an autumn road trip.

Oh Daddy is the black sheep in this otherwise perfect album.

Amazing album from start to finish, definitely one I'd recommend everyone listen to at least once.

Nearly half powerhouse pop icons - Dreams, Don't Stop, The Chain, You Make Loving Fun, and my personal top pick, (though Dreams beat it in the court of public opinion), Go Your Own Way. And really nothing weak supporting those gems. All boiling out of the cauldron of one of the most canonical examples of rock band-"family" dysfunction ever. Masterpiece.

Beautiful: a masterpiece in every song!

Had never listened to this as an album before, but put it on and was amazed at how many of the songs that I recognised. I don't think it's as high a 5 as some we've had previously, it's maybe a little too middle of the road for that in places, but there are so many good tracks on this that you'd be a fool to give it anything less.

Classsss

What can you say about this album? Only that I noticed that Second Hand News is false start: a fine song but from another album. But from Dreams on in its pure 70s fm rock magic all the way.

Fantastic album, this album has really grown on me. Great singing and music

Musical masterpiece

The number 1 Oh wait number 2, Abbey Road beat it. I do like Tusk better honestly, but 5 nevertheless:)) 5

Hienosta positiivis-katkeransuloisesta paikasta tuleva hittikimara. Vähän arvon 4 ja 5 välillä mut annetaan nyt femma, niitä tulee jaettua aika harvoin.

If there ever was a 5-star worth album on this list, this would be it. Every song is a hit. Well recorded, meaningful lyrics, different textures but all pleasing. Take my 5.

Classic

It's not the easiest album to rate for me. As a general principle, I'm not the fan of the soft rock ballad-like songs, it's like listening to IKEA of music - everything is looking nice and simple, but also incredibly boring and bland. But Fleetwood Mac has to be an exception here. Their "Rumours" is an album filled with all-time hits and few of the most recognisable melodies and tunes ever. Especially nowadays, with the tiktoks or Instagram, those melodies are ingrained into minds of everyone. There is no denying, that the guitar melodies, together with different types of soft sounded vocals in this case is a recipe for success. "Dreams", "Second Hand News", "Go Your Own Way" and "Don't Stop" are basically the gold standard of singles and hits for many years to come (and have been for the last 50 years). Even though, I think my favourite song was "Gold Dust Woman". Amazing outro, small guitar solos, and absolutely beautiful vocal. Well, after consideration, maybe it's not that hard to rate this album.

You make loving fun slaps

So many great songs... Such a striking album, so catchy, timeless, heartfelt and moving... Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie and Lindsey Buckingham were at the apex of their abilities as a songwriting team in 1977. *Tusk*, released a few years later, was great, too, by the way. But that story is for another time, kiddies... Now who can be surprised that *Rumours* is number two in the app's global stats? Honestly, I would have been, a decade earlier. But I'm still way too young to remember this albums's commercial success when it was released, so I needed to discover it on my own terms first, just like a lot of other people. I'm glad that I did now, obviously... So each track is a small masterpiece, but the one tune that actually convinced me *Rumours*'s reputation was deserved is "The Chain". It chords changes get me every time. Learning that the song actually depicted all the drama and personal stuff going on behind the scenes is just cream on the cake here. Since I'm evoking biographical elements here... Rest In peace, Christine McVie. Recent news in 2022 have been a hard blow for music fans all over the world. And let me use the occasion to *also* pay homage to Mimi Parker from Low, criminally absent from Dimery's book. Here was another insanely talented musician who deceased this year, and she deserves as much a tribute as Christine McVie does. Those two women had so much talent, and their voices could send you to heaven. Now that Parker and McVie are in the latter, angels there will probably take some notes for their own choirs, at least... Album left to review: more than 700. Keepers: half so far, approximately (including this one) Potential keepers: a quarter. Stinkers: another quarter.

Great.

super album

Amazing album... already heard

Already listened to it, very good

Nicks/Buckingham really propelled them to such great heights. Probably top 5 in their discography Second Hand News- awesome opener Dreams - stevie nicks perfection, the bass is iconic and this being their only number 1 single is a crime but we move Go Your Own Way - i love when talented couples write about one another on the album Don't Stop - upbeat banger The Chain - this is what music was created to DOOOO You Make Loving Fun - rip Christine mcvie, you ate on this masterpiece I love the theme of gossip, chisme, turmoil and love, it just makes the lyrics seem more spiteful, the playing more enticing, the wordplay is as enticing as the production and they put their whole MACK into the instrumentals.

Stellar.

Nothing wrong with this album. RIP Christine.

One of the goats

Finally something more recognisable Stonking album.

Rumours is possibly the greatest pop album of all time. From the moment the album begins to the moment it ends, the listener is treated to some of the greatest melodies in the popular music canon. The musicianship is phenomenal especially Lindsay Buckingham‘s guitar work. Lyrically, this album is famously written in the midst of infidelity and the disintegration of relationships. The result is a tumultuous album full of longing and regret. It is absolutely masterful in every way.

Stand-outs: "The Chain," "You Make Loving Fun," "Dreams"

Wioioooop wooiooooioooooop Well what can I say, this is one of my favourite 70s albums out there, no doubt no doubt

Every song a classic

Spot on.

I’ve listened tot his album probably a thousand times in my lifetime and I never don’t love it.

Dreams, Never Going Back Again, The Chain, You Make Loving Fun, Gold Dust Woman all in the pantheon. Go Your Own Way and Don't Stop overrated? Oh Daddy is bad maybe? Second Hand News and I Don't Want to Know ahead of their time?

Sounds like it was recorded yesterday.

One of my favorite albums of all time

SUPERB!

Still perfect!

Fantastic.

fantastic album has more clunkers though than you would expect

This album obviously needs no introduction and definitely deserves a 5 but honestly it's starting to feel overplayed. I used to love Don't Stop and go your own way but now I'm just like eh. Dreams and the chain are still bangers though.

Don't stop me, because I'm going to write this review without listening to the album (again). It may come as second hand news to you. You can go your own way, but I'm never going back again. We all have dreams, and mine is to find a songbird, a gold dust woman, who will make loving fun.

Pretty ridonkulous. There isn't any filler on this album (okay, maybe Oh Daddy....), everything has beautiful texture and passionate voices. The harmonies are wonderful. Just an amazing album, start to finish.

Perfection. An album you listen from start to end without skipping. Would give this six stars if I could. Dreams The chain

You know every damn song here.

A truly stacked album, I understand now why the hype surrounds this album. It is tight and potent with a stellar diversity of sound.

92/100: Feeling absolutely blessed that the album generator gave me this album today. This is the single easiest album to listen to. Music shouldn't be effort to listen to, when you find an artist or an album you like and appreciate, that effort is lifted. It doesn't feel like you're trying your best to make it through the album—the songs just drift between your ears and time accelerates. It can be hard, though, to find an artist that creates this experience. The msot beautiful part of "Rumours," in my mind, is that this album achieves that experience for everyone—and I mean everyone. You could listen to exclusively soul, or only listen to Toby Kieth, or refuse to lsiten to any artist other than Kanye West, it doesn't matter. You will love this album. It will be easy to listen to. It's as if Fleetwood Mac tapped into the universality of music. This album has a clear sound and genre, but it's so good that listeners of all genres will appreciate it. I genuinely can't think of another album that I feel I could confidently claim everyone who listens to it will like it. Pink Floyd's "The Wall" is a masterpiece; however, it wouldn't surprise me at all if it wasn't someone's cup of tea. Kendrick Lamar's "To Pimp a Butterfly" is a stroke of genius and one of the best albums ever released, but, again, not everyone who listens to it will appreciate it. "Rumours" is a masterpiece and I guarantee you everyone who has ever lsitened to it has enjoyed it.

One of the best albums of all times. No notes

Love Fleetwood Mac and love this album. What a classic. Fav songs: Dreams, Go Your Own Way, The Chain, You Make Loving Fun, Gold Dust Woman

Go My Own Way? But why? There's a perfectly nice album here to listen to.

top 10 album ever created.

Of course it's a masterpiece. Quite possibly the best pop rock record. The sequencing and production are faultless, not to mention the tunes are killer, plus the writing is rewarding, which is always a pleasant surprise for 70s music. An essential record.

Really cool album with the most famous songs. Really enjoyable and creates a very mellow and relaxed atmosphere.

5/5. As many times as I’ve listened to this album, it still surprises me how catchy and well made these songs are. And knowing the tension between the band members, the songs become that much more powerful.

mejor album del mundo no estoy dispuesta a discutir al respecto

Much like chess, it speaks for itself

The best thing cocaine has created

Track 1: Nice and driving rhythmically, and percussive both in beat and vocal timbre. Upbeat and positive song that feels like a road trip. Reminds me a bit of Cecilia by S&G Track 2: Very pretty guitar work that tends to float/drift above the rest of the backing track. Spooky and mystical sound. Guitar effects give dreamlike steelguitar sound. Great harmonies on the chorus. The buildup to the chorus has the incredible cymbal crash on beat 2 which melts me. Very tight drumming on this. Track 3: one of my favorite tracks. Very complex fingerpicking guitar work throughout keeping the beat and rhythm without any other instruments. Great vocal melody that accompanies the guitar melody well. Feels like going on a hike or camping. Track 4: Great up-beat piano driven melody. Very forward thinking and positive both musically and lyrically. Guitar solo was well placed and quick with good links. Ends perfectly as the melody is quite repetitive. Track 5: Great acoustic guitar work and strum pattern with electric rhythm in the back. Feels like you're on a mountain top. Song pushes and pulls with each verse headed towards the chorus. Lyrically stresses the importance of independence and freedom. 1st Guitar solo section is a bit lackluster but has cool distortion. 2nd Guitar solo absolutely kills it and drives to a killer climax of the song. Track 6: Beautiful slow piano ballad. The vocals are absolutely stunning and the high notes are hit really well. Soft and restrained vocals, feels like the vocals could give more edge but are holding off. The rises and falls of the vocals are a bit repetitive and somewhat annoying at times but don't cease to be very pretty. Track 7: badass intro guitarwork feels like a cowboy slowly into a dusty town. The harmonies are perfect on this track. The funky driving baseline in the chorus is great. Chorus vocals are great and have awesome emotional edge. This song is retaliatory. You can feel the anger of the singer. OH MY LORD THE SEXIEST BASSLINE IN ROCK. GIVE ME THAT LOW NOTE. guitar solo soars at the end and matches the songs ferocity along with the ending vocals edge. Track 8: Funky bassline and start. Awesome clavicord backing track throughout. Wow vocals are lofty and pretty with those high notes. Very nice solo section with well placed solo and nice links. Swirling backing harmonies. Tight drumming on this track. Ending guitar solo is nice. Lackluster fade to finish. Track 9: Bright and crisp intro acoustic guitar. Great 2 part vocals right off the rip. Great tight drumming. Oh man I hear claps in the background. Nice. Chorus is very tight with the mix up drums with the 3 on 4. Gets a little repetitive. Very solid guitar solo and very clean tone. Track 10: very mysterious and swirling instrumentation. I love the flutey keyboard sound in the back. Daddy issues much? Very nice lingering low piano key hit is a nice effect. Incredible acoustic guitarwork with pretty harmonics. Great fading organs/keys. Track 11: Nice clockwork percussion. Woah a little wah wah pedal guitar? Or just nice dreamy effects and reverb. Pretty chorus harmonies. Still very mysterious. Nice decrescendo to get a bit softer. Would've like a bit more drumming on this track, a bit lacking on the drums. Singer really has some emotion in her voice. Wow awesome guitar effects that sounds like screaming or a dog crying.... goosebumps. All in all, a great no-skip album with incredible instrumentation, and a beautifully emotional story to tell.

Rumors is a classic in every aspect. The singing between stevie nicks and lyndsey Buckingham somehow compliment the band really well in a tale of relationships and betrayal. This album spawned countless singles like dreams, the chain, or go your own way. However I also really enjoy the deep cuts here (Songbird, never going back again, you make loving fun). Overall a classic with a sound that stays timeless and does not feel dated 45 years later.

This is honestly one of the best albums ever written. An all time great.

Album full of bangers, but songbird is kind of weak

Rating: 10/10

Masterpiece album and the background of it gives it even more depth. It's everlasting presence in the top steps of any "best of" ladder is well deserved.

Masterpiece

After listening to this album since I was a kid, I have come to believe the best version ends with “Silver Springs”, a song I was unfamiliar with until recently because it wasn’t on either of the two Rumours CDs in my house. (I’m sure I have multiple copies of DSOTM and Graceland too) September 20th, 2022

9/10. Some stand-out hits, but not quite a 10. Or maybe it is just barely a 10, and I just want to prove I'm not like the other girls, idk

One of my all time favourite albums. This is just soo good, the peak of mainstream rock music.

Epic. So so epic.

-S Tier- Dreams Don’t Stop Go Your Own Way The Chain You Make Loving Fun Gold Dust Woman -A Tier- Second Hand News Never Going Back Again I Don’t Want to Know Oh Daddy -B Tier- Songbird AVG SCORE: 4.5/ 5 - - - Bias Alert: I consider Fleetwood Mac perhaps the greatest band of all time through all iterations dating back to Peter Green. This album has everything. Beautiful music. A sordid and compelling series of backstories. And little moments (like Stevie’s barely-audible hum at the very beginning of Dreams) that give me chills. One of the great works of modern musicianship. I adore it. Gold Dust Woman is an underrated gem.

Every single song was a bop. Really enjoyed listening

It is difficult for me to think of reasons to dislike this album. It's so finely crafted, from the meticulous production work to the excellent songwriting. Fleetwood Mac was somehow able to come together in a maelstrom of interpersonal issues to make one of the greatest albums of all time. It's unforgettable. Even at the album's weakest, the songs are beautiful and delivered with such emotion that it's impossible for me not to love it genuinely. My favorite song is easily The Chain for it's dynamic structure and hard-hitting chorus of layered vocals that drive home the thematic gravity of "we must never break the chain". I'll always have a soft spot for Don't Stop though, as it is closely intertwined with the music of my formative years. There's no other way to say it: Rumours is a perfect album.

How do you rate this other than 5? 45 years later it still amazes me.

Didn’t know so many songs were on the album that I know of!

Fantastic, favourite The Chain. Would’ve been good to see at their peak. Must’ve been a welcomed forums tour back in the day

dope as hell

Contender for one of the best albums of all time. Almost every track feels like a greatest hit.

The production quality is fantastic, and this album has some of the best three-part harmonies in popular music. Every song is solid, front to back.

It is crazy how many hit songs are on this album. Granted, a hit song is not necessarily a good song. However, in the soft rock / pop genre, these are great songs. I agree that this album should be considered one of the greatest of the 1970s. I have always liked Fleetwood Mac's writing. I also like the idea of having three lead vocalists - all of them pulling their weight on different songs and making this album so enjoyable.

I've listened to this album many many times but always am amazed by how many bangers it has

Perfect

I was waiting for Fleetwood Mac - Rumours to appear. There's so many classics that makes it easy to mistake it for a greatest hits album. It's understandable why this one shows up on all the lists for greatest albums of all time. The big surprise here is that it's their eleventh album. Most bands have their best album early in their career.

En udødelig klassiker. Alt er perfekt.

I own this one on vinyl. Many of the songs are played on the radio, so it's very familiar, but still excellent.

💯💯💯

Classic. Great songs and incredible singing of Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie. Maximum score

Fuck it, here we go. It's time. I've avoided this album for a while now. I've read the reviews, I've read all the accolades, I've read most of the accounts of what happened. Yet, when it was time for me to dig into the Mac, I've avoided this album. I mostly dig head over heels for its successor and it's become one of my all time favorite albums. And, yet, this album still rang its ubiquitous cultural bell. It seemed easy to steer clear from yet it never went away. So, when it came time to finally listen to this, I grabbed onto the chain. I didn't think I'd cling on this hard. I finally get what the fuss is all about. Rumours is the preparation for, and confirmation of, everything that is the complex nature of love and relationships. Even since its creation, its impact upon the creators and its listeners can be (and should be) studied on for however much time we have (even though it's not rocket science). So the rumours are true, I guess.... this is a fantastic album.

There are classics that don't hold up and then there is Rumours. While clearly a product of the 70s and created under incredibly difficult circumstances, this is pop rock of the highest caliber, great songwriting songwriters, coupled with creative, yet focused production. Four hit singles, and The Chain isn't one of them (the rare song written by all five, and awesome examples of Mick Fleetwood and John McVie's prowess), and there was no room for Silver Springs.

An easy 5. So many great songs on this album. It’s the definition of 70s classic rock radio.

I don’t have anything original to say about this album, but it’s an easy 5. All songs but one are fantastic and the other one (songbird) is still very good. It has a totally unique sound.

Six stars. So good. So many good songs.

Duh...

Easily one of the greatest albums of all time. Great songs throughout, levels are bang on and the musicianship is incredible. Easy 5/5

Just to lead off, The Chain is one of the greatest songs ever made. This album is a cross section of every single radio station in the late 70s and early 80s. It feels played out, but as I wrote in a different review, thats just because every single song is perfect and plays in your head 24/7. One of the all time greatest albums ever - 5/5

Classic. Probably the 100th time I've spun this record. My only critique is that I wish there was more Stevie Nicks and less Christine McVie. Favorite tracks are "Second Hand News" and "The Chain".

One of the best albums of all time! The music! The vocals! The drum beats! The guitars! The harmonies! I could both go on and on and also not find the words to express how good this music is ❤️

I cannot say anything bad about this album. The songwriting is 5 stars alone. Fleetwood Mac capturing falling in love, being in a relationship, and horrible breakups all in one album and it’s brilliant, relatable. I always enjoy this album.

Dreams, Never Going Back Again, Go Your Own Way, The Chain, Gold Dust Woman... so many classics that are amazing songs, and every track unmentioned here is good in its own right. Well done Fleetwood!

I've tried really hard to justify why I wouldn't give this 5*. But I don't think I can. It is genuinely a brilliant album. Listening to the whole thing in full for the first time, after seeing it sitting in my Dad's record collection since I was 2, I think I've been converted.

Very good album

One of my all time top five faves. Love love love.

5 stars all up and down the road. All those cheesy "bow bow bow bow bow"s on Second Hand News? Love it. Not a bad track here. Clinton couldn't even kill my love for 'Don't Stop'. But the best here - 'The Chain', 'Dreams', 'Songbird'... I don't know, this is all great. And the back story on it, what was going on when they recorded it, is pretty great, too. Where's the biopic of the recording of Rumors? And Shawn - can I write a treatment of that and pitch it? To Lindsay or whoever? The story would kill and the soundtrack sells itself. Call me. (I listened to this three times today. I'm not a superfan, really, but this is good stuff.)

talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender, shit on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it

Wonderful! 😂 This album is always on the list for best albums of all time.

Riktigt bra

This one is an automatic 5 stars since I already listen to it on a regular basis. Not much to say about it that hasn’t been said many times already. Although there are a couple songs I don’t care for (Songbird, Oh Daddy), they’re still good songs.

Classic

Ikoniskt album. Mycket bra. Avtar lite på slutet men 4 låtar på rad är 10/10, inte många som kan skryta med. Värdigt väggen!

Agradable disco para escuchar mientras trabajo

% Stars. Obviously

An absolute classic album, probably THE break-up record. Go Your Own Way is superb, but among a very strong field

Classic.

The Rumours are all true.

Start to finish a monster album. Easily top 5 all time for classic rock. Probably Abbey Road then rumors for 1/2.

What the hell every single song on this is super well-known. Major touchpoint filled in that I had no idea I was even missing

It's like listening to a greatest hits album! What a cracker. Faves: Second Hand News, Dreams, and The Chain still gives me shivers.

One of the best rock records.

Absolute masterpiece. Perfection on every level. It's honestly excruciatingly difficult to find any flaw in this album so I'm not even going to try. Also balls.

Gosh, what can be said about this album that hasn’t been said before…

SweeeEeet wonderful ‘poo, Your face is fluffy and your heart is true. OooOoooh-often you smell, This odour follows me whenever I go. I don’t belieeeEeve in a standard spaniel, I prefer me a cockapoo. I’m not a faaaaAaaan of your purebred poodles, I want a mixture between the two. Yooou’re so fluffy and fun, You’re just a cocky cockapoo. (Repeat and fade) Like/follow/subscribe for more puppy based remixes. Also: best album of all time, but I think you guys have covered that side of things.

Quintessential Shitty Relationship Album

A stone-cold classic. This album contains one of the strongest collections of megahits ever gathered on any single studio album. It's a shame about the weak opener. Dreams, Don't Stop, Go Your Own Way, The Chain, and Gold Dust Woman cram this record with more top-tier goodness than anyone should reasonably expect, and, as far as I am concerned, The Chain is one of the greatest rock songs ever recorded.

this album is so slay

Här går vi inte vår egen väg

Är biased av min ungdom. Men. Är inte nästan alla låtar bra? Känner du dig inte levande?

There’s something for everyone here really, isn’t there? Personal shout-outs to Never Going Back Again and the bass part in the chorus to Go Your Own Way. Also, I’ve just realised: swap out the vocals and Dreams is basically a War on Drugs song…

forget how many classics are on this album, such simple story line and good positive feeling production. Simply forgot how amazing this album was.

banger after banger, incredible!

second-hand news is not my cup of tea Dreams is a banger Never going back again is a banger too Don't stop, another banger go your own way is a banger songbird was meh chain is one of the most iconic songs ever and one of my favourite, especially the beat change :) you love making fun and i dont want to know are good but not classics Gold dust woman top 3 songs on the album

What can I say that hasn't been said? Overhyped? Possibly. Over-familiar? Definitely. Over-played? Never.

Always amazing

Already a favorite album since I was a child. Absolute favorites: Never Going Back Again.

This album belongs on the list of the 50 Best of All Time. Wonderfully composed, deeply meaningful and just an amazing LP. Granted a lot of songs have been beaten to death by classic rock (and soft rock) radio, but that’s because they’re so good.

Is there anyone who doesn't love this album? I'm not sure if that's possible. This is one of the greatest rock pairings of all time. So many hits came off this album, but somehow the lesser-known stuff is even better.

Amazing album.

So. This was awesome. An absolutely incredible album. I think that it kind of loses a little steam with the last two songs, but still a great record, and one that I'm glad I finally got around to listening to.

There's loads of in depth review so I'll keep this brief. There are some great songs, production and vocals. Loads of instantly recognisable tracks. This is truly great album and 5 star rating well deserved.

Equal parts cheesy and brilliant

Now this is a funny one, previously I'd dismissed this into the same category as ABBA or old pop. Course I'd heard the odd tune of the radio telly or whatever but had in no way engaged. Then a liverpudlian Bassist suggest we cover one of their songs. This made actually listen to them for the first time. At the same time the chain appeared in a dvd we were watching at the time about space bandits. And from there its grown the more I've listened the more I've enjoyed the variety of vocals and sounds. The pathos seems very real and the music is really quite beautiful. I was listening to this as the sun came up yesterday on a walk over the hills of my local area and I guenilly felt moved and tearful. Not many albums can do that.

Wow! An album that clearly deserves to be in some Top X Albums of ... list. Incredibly listenable, varied and interesting.

There's the album, then there's the backstory of its production, which I think adds to its overall appeal.

Excellent album and sound! Better than I remember!

I never actually listened to this album in full until the first Covid lockdown, and despite all the stress and weirdness of that time, this album reminds me of sunny afternoons flopped in the garden doing nice embroidery things. Don't Stop felt SO HOPEFUL at that time!!! Faves: Gold Dust Woman, The Chain, Dreams (also I don't think this is on the official track list but I am OBSESSED with Silver Springs, it gives me the tinglies every time)

Not much to add on this one, the hype is deserved. Everytime I listen to Rumours I think it's the perfect album.

This is a perfect album.

It's just very very good isn't it

Legendary album. Perfection. Production and mixing, especially with the vocals are flawless. Not a single bad song on there. Packed with mega hits and in a perfect 40 minute run time. The band has such life and groove, how can someone not enjoy this album?

What a true masterpiece. Not sure there is a better and more hit-loaded A-Side than this one. Each song of the album could be a single and a hit, no song is like the other, the combination of three great vocalists plus Lindsey's guitar play. Doesn't get much better than this

Yes, yes, another 5 star review. It really is a great album, though, spawned from an archetypally/near-comically unhealthy band relationship situation. Fave track - "The Chain" - that is an absolute monster of a tune...

Banger after banger after banger. What an absolute fucking gem of an album

There are a dozen or so albums in the last 70 years that are pure perfection. This is one of them.

I've always thought of Fleetwood Mac as being very talented musicians and songwriters, but lacking their own distinctive sound and their music being a bit clinical and 'MOR'. Listening to this album hasn't changed that view, however, the quality of the songwriting, performance, production and the sheer number of ubiquitous classics is such that this can't be anything other than a 5/5 record.

This is probably as near a perfect album as exists. A perfect blend of voices, sounds, talents...and so many iconic songs. This could well be my desert island pick.

I love this album! I remember when it came out and I really wanted to buy it. I was a little young...and when I told my folks about the lyrics of Second Hand News, "Won't you lay me down in the tall grass and let me do my stuff?", I got a hard "no"! I didn't really think that sales pitch through. At any rate, I eventually got the album and listen to it often!!

Been one of my favorite albums since I was 6 or 7 years old. Will happily listen to Fleetwood Mac any day, any time, any place.

Have on vinyl

Second Hand News-Love this song so fun! Love the pitty-pats! Also love Stevie's harmonies. Dreams-YES YES YES WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY ABOUT THIS SONG! HARMONIES! VOCALS! LYRICS! RHYTHM SECTION!!!! Never Going Back Again-Guitar work is fantastic! Vocals! Don't Stop-Classic! Forgot how good this song is! Great piano work! Go Your Own Way-Another classic! Great bass work definitely the highlight along with Lindsey's solos! Songbird-Yes finally some Christine! Love the lyrics! Super underrated! The Chain-OH MY GOD THIS SONG IS SO BADASS I CAN'T! I INSTANTLY TURNED UP THE VOLUME! LOVE THE BASS AND HARMONIES! FAVORITE SONG ON THE ALBUM! THIS SONG IS PURE ADRENALINE AND EUPHORIA! You Make Loving Fun-FUNKY! LOVE THAT ORGAN SYNTH LINE! I Don't Want To Know-Catchy! Great vocals! Oh Daddy-Probably the worst song on the album, but I still really like the instrumentation! Gold Dust Woman-YESSSS 2nd FAVORITE SONG ON HERE! WHAT A WAY TO CLOSE THE ALBUM! STEVIE'S VOCALS LITERALLY GAVE ME CHILLS! This album is literally top 10 of the 70s. So so good. 5/5

Easy peasy. Perfect album

Hit the road, play this album.

I never knew I liked this band or album, but more than half of the songs have somehow stuck in my brain over the years, so I must have liked them enough to keep listening wherever/whenever I heard them.

Amazing

Start to finish 🤌

The sound of Dreams and, you know, broken marriages, revenge, and falling in love. Beautiful album!

All-time classic!

A million times heard. I can review this without a listen.

Ótimo para trabalhar enquanto escuta. Vibe pop rock anos 70/80.

Best i heimi!

103. Rumours - Fleetwood Mac 11 tracks. I knew the album, but not any of the songs by name. What an awakening this was. A really spectacular album that offered so much in so many areas. I listened to this again on a dog walk today with headphones & even better. 5/5

While I switch the station on most of these songs today, I played the shit out of this album years ago

Classic

The first album on this journey that I've actually listened to prior to seeing it on here. And I've listened to it a lot over the years and know all the songs by heart. What more can be said about it that hasn't already been said a thousand times about this album? This is considered Fleetwood Mac's magnum opus and one of the top 10 best selling albums of all time. All for good reason. Not a single dud on here. Absolute brilliance from start to finish.

I am on board with the hype train. It's unusual that I agree with the masses but this album sits in my top ten.

5/5. Perfection

Masterpiece.

This album is amazing for how layered and solid it is. It’s rare for a band to sound this fractured yet this together

Nice and groovy!

I mean, it's Rumours.

What more is there to say about this one that hasn't been said? I continue to find new moments in this album that I love, like the harmonies at the end Never Going Back Again, or the kind of off-kilter strumming pattern in the intro of I Don't Want To Know. It's a wonder album with ups and downs and beautiful flow throughout.

Every song on here is fantastic. Musicality and lyricism are just beautiful on this album. There isn't a song I don't like. Favourite tracks: Dreams, The Chain, Gold Dust Woman

A perfect album

Favorite of mine

Jedan od najdražih albuma ikad. Da rastava i svađe kreiraju nešto tako savršeno je za 5/5

This is wonderful

Þessi hefur ekki verið ofarlega á mínum listum og þess vegna var þetta kærkomið tækifæri til að hlusta vel. Og hvað get ég sagt, er svoddan sucker fyrir 70s soft rokki.

Think this is one of the only albums on the list that I listened to all the way through before this project (shows my musical knowledge). Would rate a 5 without listening, but worth the relisten to hear again

Classic. 😃👍

Top tier pop album! Hits back to front. Glad to finally get it from this list. Knew most of these songs, but never listened to them in album order. Amazing together.

just perfect

All time classic

Not much to say about this album that hasn’t already been said. An absolute classic with some of Fleetwood Mac’s best songs.

Норм, хоть и Флитвуд мак

Great.

Brilliant Break-Up album. So many memories from these tunes. The whole album is great and hard to pick a favourite but if pushed "Songbird" & "The Chain" stand out from a superb all round album. Has to be, post Peter Green, the best work they did as a band.

It's a classic.

Tight. Obv they can't all be silver springs, won't fault the other songs for that ... no reason to give less than a 5.

It's a classic.

Absolutely flawless album, also probably the first time I've listened to it in it's entirety

Noen av tidenes beste låter på denne. Nydelige vokaler, tekster og gitar som bare treffer perfekt på alt. The Chain og Go your own way er mine høydepunkter.

look, I listened to this 3 times and I want the vinyl of it. There's just too many bangers. Surprised by the Chain this time, really rocked out.

Very good, might listen again

banger

A classic. Memorable songs front to back, and really good replay-ability. Closer of Silver Springs is the best part in my opinion.

Almost every song is a hit. Great album all the way through

I listened to this repeatedly during the summer of 1977, and it's still a favorite.

It finally happened- one of my all-time favorite albums came up in the rotation :) Rumours is a go-to listen. My favorites are Secondhand News, The Chain, You Make Loving Fun, and I Don't Wanna Know. And yes I know that's almost half of the album. I even left some off :)

Topalbum met veel hits. Veel afwisseling, genoeg rockgehalte maar toch popmuziek

Incredible album from start to finish with exceptional standouts. Absolutely favourite is the Chain

Has a rock /pop group ever put a better collection of songs on one record? Highway 61, maybe. Rubber Soul, perhaps. One great song after another. A remarkable achievement really 5 🌟

Quite possibly the best album of all time. Every song on this album is damn near perfect. It's rare to have an album of songs that each song still gets airplay to this day. Second Hand News is a perfect pop song. What a treat of an album. Hopefully Lindsey Buckingham will eventually get to talk to Diondre Cole. Oooohhhh weeee!!! What up with that?!

One of the best pop rock albums of all time. Also, maybe the only band I can think of with male and female singers where the male singer isn’t a total embarrassment to the band. ALSO, somehow I’m just realizing how tight of a drummer Mick Fleetwood is.

i'm a little embarrassed by how much i liked it, it was v chill

Don’t know how anyone could give this less than 5 stars really.

Me encanta!!

Fleetwood Mac (the 2nd iteration) at its finest. A classic album, making the world a better place.

One of my favorite albums of all time

The best album of Fleetwood Mac.

Unassailably incredible. One of the greatest records ever with the sales to back it up.

This album fuckin' SLAPS.

A classic for a reason.

A well known album. Almost all of the songs a hits.

One of the best albums of all time. Every song is masterfully put together and both the vocals, instrumentals, and storytelling are immaculate

One of the best albums of all time. Rumours? No, it's all true.

Easy to understand why this is regarded as one of the best albums ever made. Every track could be the best track on another 70s rock album. Sublime

5/5 Really good album Good music

Although I've never listened to this as an album before, I was familiar with all tracks except for the last one and could have given the album 5 stars without listening. However, why would I do that? It was a joy to listen to it before giving it the 5 it merits. The music of Fleetwood Mac is deceptively simple but that doesn't cover up the underlying amazing emotional depth of their masterfully crafted songs. That goes both for their hits and their lesser known songs - but then again, this is Fleetwood Mac. They barely have lesser known songs. Probably every single track from this album has been aired on radio thousands of times - deservedly so.

10/10.Perfection.

Fantastic. Simply fantastic

Soft-rock cocaine enthusiasts Fleetwood Mac. An easy 5/5 but it's a shame Silver Springs isn't on there in place of Oh Daddy.

A proper classic You can feel the dislike between the band members

One of the best albums ever made. Hit after hit after hit. Perfection.

Great then and great now. Love their style and would enjoy them getting together to perform old and new collaborations.

I saw the cover and immediately got excited, of the three boys I'd say I'm the least versed in Fleetwood only because I never listened to the albums, I'm sure I listened to greatest hits at one point but not a singular. This felt like greatest hits as there were so many from their roster on this one album. That alone is enough to give this one a 5, but it is the other songs that really boost it. While they don't stick as well as the favorites, I still enjoyed them all. As I said, this is an iconic album cover and I never realized the two dangling balls. Epic.

5/5. A perfect album. Every song is classic.

This is a favorite and what I consider to be a classic album. Just amazing song after amazing song. Dreams will Always be a very solid like top 20 song of all time to me. Then you got Go your own way, Silver Springs, oh Daddy. I don't even really feel like I need to say much. It's a must listen, and it's an album that I could listen to for the rest of my life and never get tired of it. I have so far, and I am so glad this one came up again. Just looking for a reason to re-listen again.

oh daddy, mi ma masterpiece

5 5 is the only answer. Lekker plaat met ook echt wel wat hits. Echte must listen

The sound of freedom! Dit album kan uw dag gewoon terug opfleuren. Pascal Naessens zou zeggen: Puur genieten.

Great album 10/10

No words needed

Brilliant

One of the best

Muito gostosinho. Destaco "Never Goin Back Again" e "The Chain", que eu já conhecia e é perfeita.
