The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan
Bob DylanNever listened to Bob Dylan on purpose before. Classic American folk, very warm, very homey, very cool lyrics.

One of the classic acoustic concerts of all time, in my opinion. Very unusual and very cool to hear Nirvana in a completely different role. Very lamplike atmosphere. They were hardly the first to try to do it, but after them there was a whole series of similar unplugged concert-albums among other musicians. Even Symphony & Metallica, I think, were inspired by this unplugged.
White Stripes are interesting guys, authentic sound, over the top drive, interesting approach to performance. But it's not really my style. Nevertheless, they are definitely authentic, bright and the album is solid and high quality.
The album is not bad, but the first part is a bit flat for me, but the second part, starting with My Mistakes Were Made For You is very beautiful, both the likes of Time Has Come Again and the dynamic I Don't Like You Anymore came in. The guys, apparently, decided to save all the most delicious things for dessert.
Now I know where subsequent generations of metal and alternative artists have drawn inspiration from. Very cool album with raw killer drive, great chromatic riffs and other hecky metal attributes that have become classics. And, of course, super lyrics.
I love this Amy album. It has a lot of energy and desire to create and some musical virginity or something. Amy's voice sounds very fresh and the lyrics are full of passion. There is not that tiredness and emptiness that starts to appear later. This trait makes it special and turns it on.
Wow! I'm amazed. The quality of the recorded material is amazing. And this is 1972! Unbelievable. A cool lamplight and very warm country blues-rock album. The songs all fit together and flow one into the other. The album is very cohesive and enjoyable for both thoughtful listening and background. First time listening to Stephen Stills and very impressed!
Cool album. I love it when they put jazz samples in hip-hop.
It's a great album. Kind of a psycho-punk-Beatles thing. Now I know who the great-grandfathers of Bloodhound gang were.
A brilliant album from a brilliant musician. Luis Prima is simply marvelous: the songs, the energy, the arrangements, the overall mood of the album. He was just a revelation.
This album reminded me of a later female group from the USSR, Kombinatsiya. It seems to me that they were inspired by Go Go's. Overall, the album is fun, fresh, light, but I didn't really like the sound quality and performance.
Of the White Stripes, this is my favorite album. Despite the dynamics and raw garage drive of the songs, they have developed a dynamic between songs. And that makes the album even more interesting. The riffs and the approach with the vocals are all much more to my liking here. I think they changed the comic and this one sounds more like Tom Morello than Papa Roach.
Funky guys, great power pop, but I didn't find anything interesting or tasty for me.
Shugar is very reminiscent of Foo Fighters in style and presentation of material. There is an influence in both vocals and arrangements. I even got deja vu. Of course, there are echoes of many bands from the 90s from the USA, Blink 182, Offspring, Papa Roach, and this is not a complete list. At one time, for me, this kind of music was almost the most reference and it was in this style of frantic continuous powerchords and overcompression.
Cool album, a bit country, but I love the sound, the dynamics, the cohesiveness of it. I agree that it's one of the best.
The Waterboys - wow, rock and roll, country, quality, lyrics, arrangements, production quality, album layout - just enjoy the wholeness, sound and meaning.
Exodus is just a delightful album that combines a mature and very musical Bob Marley, with great arrangements, cool lyrics and intoxicating reggae. It's 5, for sure.
I remember the moment when I heard them for the first time. The album was on sale, but it was far from popular, so I bought it in a Minsk disk store because I liked the cover. Despite the fact that I've listened to almost nothing but Nirvana and Dream Theatre, I liked these guys. Very cool combination of long rough overdriven drive, overdriven vocals and subtle melody with voluminous reverb. When I listened to them, I didn't know English and didn't understand the meaning of the lyrics. But the lyrics turned out to be quite strong too. They remind me something of J Mors, which came out strongly because of the timbre of Pugach's voice and the lyrics. Here plus more interesting guitars, melancholy and almost metal tendencies. This is a very cool album that you should definitely listen to.
This album is okay for this year, but I'm not really a fan of those Beatle arrangements.
It's the best arrangements, the most beautiful guitars, the most beautiful drums, the highest quality mixing and the most awesome mastering. I can't classify myself as a Radiohead fan. I don't really like Thom Yorke's timbre and manner, but the music they make in its totality is beautiful, original and very interesting. Special mention must be made of the air and quality with which one hears every nuance and every instrument on the recording. My hat's off to them.
Cool music, light, interesting arrangements, but a little dusty sounding and lacks the assemblage of the bowl. A matter of taste, of course.
Good album, nice melodic guitar riffs and harmonic moves. Interesting vocals. Good quality studio material. Pleasant impression.
Great singer-songwriter album, with tracks that had become American classics. Worth a listen.
Now I know from whom the russian bands Kino and Agatha Christie and, for example, Marilyn Manson were inspired. Helplessly gloomy and melancholy with semi-synthetic drums. Row sound and declamation at about the same voice pitch. It's fun to listen to this album to understand how the Cure influenced future generations of musicians and how reflections of their style evolved in their followers.
I recognize Belarusian band Ulis in U2. And even a little bit of J:Mors in the guitars. Cool album, very Innovative approach in guitars for this year. But I'm not a big fan of Bono's vocal talent.
Guitars wailed, cried, screamed, prayed. It was cool, raw. Really liked the balance of the instruments and their panning on the album. It's just a buzzkill.
Very cool and rich in polyphony and interesting vocal moves album. But it seems more like an experiment album, with musicians bringing new ideas, not yet fully polished perhaps. That's not a bad thing, it's just an observation.
Super interesting, non-trivial, fresh, melodic and devoid of many clichés approach to modern music. Interesting vocals combined with orchestra, harmonic passages and timings of a length that is convenient for the author to reveal his idea, not convenient for the radio or anyone else.
Oh, what great blues! I loved Waters from the first chord. I've been playing the blues for a long time, but after Waters, I just want to sing it now.
Interesting album, just mind blowing guitars and arrangements. A total psychedelic departure. I thought I was going to turn it off at first, ended up even adding a couple things to my favorites. Cool to listen to blow the dust off the hackneyed brain and feel total freedom.
Bowie's arrangements are excellent on this album. And Iggy's voice and lyrics fit the music wonderfully. And interesting topic, I now know where Marilyn Manson (Brian Warner) got his vocal inspiration from.
Nice blues-rock. All very good, beautiful, but almost nothing memorable.
Probably an interesting album. But Janis Joplin's vocals are not my thing. And I don't like the Beatles harmonies and arrangements very much either. It's a matter of taste, of course. But I didn't like the quality of recording, neither mixing, nor quality of guitars, nor quality of overdrive.
Wow album! It's a blast. The drive, the vocals, just fly together. It's got goosebumps all over it. Young's guitar and unique sound works wonders. The arrangements are not very complex and tricky. But it adds even more charm and density. Two guitars scattered through the channels. Everything is just super. Separate highlight to the vocals and dynamics. Where have I been before?
It's very interesting album for '73 with samples and a brooding airy dreamy sound.
A wonderful album with great arrangements, vocals and energy.
Cool sound and guitar moves. It looks a bit raw, but that's what gives it life. Plus Liz has a very timbre to her vocals. A special plus for the fearless lyrics.
Interesting arrangements, but I don't get Bowie yet.
Cool album! Sound, arrangements, dynamics. Everything's on point.
The arrangements are interesting. The recording is of high quality. The manner of performance is unusual. But the vocal pisses me off)
Super lyrics and beat. I really liked it.
A non-trivial look at Mussorgsky. Great ideas and unprecedented quality of execution.
Plant's divine voice and Page's fat guitar with an awesome solo in Whole Lotta Love. It's just a balm to my ears. Awesome.
Thats good american sound...
Very neat and beautiful texts, voices and pleasant arrangements. And of course Mrs. Robunson...
A very tasty mix of Coldplay and Bondax.
Nice vocals, but I found it a bit monotonous.
I really like Coldpyay's first album. Its British sound of an old concert hall with the airy guitar of Jonny Buckland and the magic and melancholic vocals of Chris Martin... I love this slightly overdriven rock'n'roll phase of their career with an analog, almost acoustic sound.
Old good Kid Rock. Fat guitar and punchy rap lyrics were evaluated in flammable stuff. I love this drive and cowboy spirit. For me this album is the best of Kid and significant for this epoch of 90th.
It's very standard. I'm not really into it.
Not really impressed with the album.
Very well
The voice of Tracey Thorn is awesome.
Ok
Old cool songs
Love this album
