I'm not sure I'm describing this correctly. I like her voice, but then it goes up an octave and I find it cloying and grating. There parts of this I like but when it gets to a part I don't like, I really don't like it. In songs where she stays in a lower register, I like it more, but she never stays there for long. I feel bad for this one but I just can't do it.

Haven't listened to a lot of Prince and while this isn't usually my cup of tea, I really enjoyed this. Lots of variety in vocals instrumentation. Just fun album all the way though. Favorite tracks: Hot Thing, I Could Never Take The Place of your Man, It's Going to be a Beautiful Night
Unfamiliar with Roxy Music but enjoyed this a fair amount. Lots of variety and interesting instrumentation. Never know what to expect with each song. Favorite tracks: Bitter Sweet, Triptych, A Really Good Time
So I started this album thinking this is fine. I don't love it, I don't hate it. It's bizarre and not going out of my way to listen to it. It's fine. The jokes really aren't funny and outstay they welcome a bit but it's perfectly fine background noise. Then Help! I'm a Rock and It Can't Happen Here happened. Did not like these two. Finally we get to Return of the Son of the Monster Magnet. Collosal waste of time. It's just noise. And it's 12 minutes of it. It's a fifth of the album? Why? It takes an album I'm already ready to be over and makes it a slog.
Aretha's voice is incredible and Respect is an incredible song. While everything else is good, nothing really stands out and blends together
Most of the songs are good but nothing crazy. Welcome to the Jungle is an ok song but fun to sing along to but then there's a run of really good tracks in the middle. Really like Paradise City, My Michelle, and Think About You. And then there's Sweet Child O Mine. Great song. Best song on the album by far. Then back to bunch of ok to good songs
Will definitely be listening to more of this when I get a chance. Really enjoyed this album, especially Everything is Free and I Dream a Highway
