Another unnecessarily long album, and the first folk album I’ve gotten that I didn’t enjoy. Every song sounded pretty much the same and nothing really stood out to me. And I don’t feel the singer’s voice matches this style of music.

I don’t understand how people can praise albums like this, Kendrick’s voice is so monotonous. Yet another album where all the songs blend together because they sound practically the same. I’m not saying I disliked this album. It was okay. However I do have some critiques. Lets start off with the good. The atmosphere is electric, the whole crowd is into it. And I do think James Brown has an incredible voice, that’s even better live than it is in his studio recordings. On the other hand, the bad… There are parts where you can tell he isn’t singing directly into the microphone because his voice fades out. Kind of frustrating not being able to hear what he is saying for half the album. I will say this isn’t particularly my style of music, but I didn’t necessarily have a bad time either. This is the second King of Leon album I’ve gotten so far in this project, the other one being Only By The Night. I have to say, in comparison, this album doesn’t nearly come close to bringing as good as the latter, but that’s not to say it’s a bad album. I did enjoy it, I just had my expectations too high. The lead singers voice is much different in this album, it seems like he got some sort of vocal coaching between the releases. And it’s part of the reason this one isn’t getting 5 stars like Only By The Night. His groan-y voice kind of ruins it for me. I will give it a solid 3 stars for the great instrumentals. Outside of a couple of the faster paced songs, it’s just so… mild. It’s not bad. Some sections of this album just seem to drag a bit, making its 56 minute run time feel like 2 hours.
A string of very basic country songs and an annoying vibrato. Most of the songs mesh together making this short 27 minute album feel like a blink of an eye.

This album is alright, guy has a decent voice. But the sound of the cuica is just awful, I’ve never liked that instrument. And it’s in every damn song.

And for good reason. I absolutely adore this album, so good from start to finish. Upbeat and fun, groovy guitar, and incredible drumming. Damn near perfect to me.

This list never disappoints when it comes to live albums. I love Thin Lizzy, hard rockin’ music and amazing guitar solos. I do think the singers voice sounds better in studio recordings, but overall I can’t complain. I enjoyed the album. Decent album overall, a couple upbeat tunes that I could groove to. I particularly liked the solo at the end of What’s The Hurry? Although I don’t particularly enjoy the singers voice, it didn’t really take away from my enjoyment of the album.
Yet another very generic british pop-rock album, soooo many of these on this list. Everything blends together into one long medley.
Awful. Every song is either bass-boosted to shit, or autotuned to shit. I hate the awful electronic beats and Kanye’s rapping is just awful. Every other song is “I get so much pussy”

Always loved Green Day, and I actually have this album on CD so it was nice to re-listen to it. A lot of catchy tunes.

Another generic hiphop album that seems to repeat itself with every song. Never heard the n-word slung around so much in one album.
A couple good songs here and there but most of the flows sound pretty much the same. Every other song is about “Hey we’re the beastie boys and we know how to rap”. Probably the greatest debut album of all time, and one of that is dear to my heart. I can sing along to every song on this album. It will always be one of my favourites. 10/10
This album is a little boring and slow. The kind of music they play at a high-end bar, where there’s a beautiful lady in a sparkly dress singing in a foreign language. I do love the singers voice although I can’t understand a word she’s saying (I don’t speak Portuguese). It’s not my style but I didn’t hate it, it’s okay. Why is there so much of this crappy british electronic music on here? It’s boring and repetitive. The same beats looping for 6 minutes at a time. This album is way too long and I see no situation where I would enjoy listening to something like this. I was definitely not satisfied.
Just more annoying european electronic music. Stupid robot voices and weird bleeps and bloops. I hate this kind of “music” if you can even call it that. It’s just sounds.

Not nearly as bad as most of the rap albums on this list. That being said, I still don’t really care for rap. I will admit there were a handful of songs that had me nodding my head. Also think it’s cool that she shouts out some of her inspirations. Standout Songs: Selfish 101 FM Flowers
I typically like folk rock albums but I just must not have been in the mood for folk, because I didn’t really enjoy it. Nothing particularly stood out to me. It wasn’t bad, just bland.
I don’t think any album will make me like jazz. Most of the bass sections are very messy. I didn’t care for it at all. Like I’ve stated before, jazz is just waiting music.
80 minutes of the worst generic pop slop you can imagine. Back to basics? Yeah it was basic, bland as all hell. And what was up with the over the top sexual stuff. Nasty naught boy? Still dirty? Gross. Almost unbearable to listen to in it’s entirety.

I absolutely adore this album. It’s one of the few I’ve gotten on here that I own on CD. Something about this album perfectly encapsulates the 90s, I love everything about it. I know that Alanis is not the best singer, but it gives her music a distinct sound that I’ll never get tired of. Standout Songs: All of them!!!

This is, in my opinion, Linkin Park’s second-best album behind Meteora. Has a lot of my favourites of their songs. It is a little short, only running 37 minutes, but I enjoyed every second of it. Chester Bennington had one of the greatest voices in nu metal history. Standout Songs: Papercut One Step Closer With You Crawling Runaway In the End A Place for My Head Pushing Me Away
A crappy generic rap album that uses the weirdest samples at the weirdest times. I already don’t enjoy hip-hop and this album did not help change that. Hard pass on this one.

Okay so I normally like Neil Young, but this garage rock phase he had is not great. A lot of the songs on this album are way too long and boring, and it kinda just melts together. Just another album where I didn’t really enjoy it but I didn’t necessarily hate it either. Meh.
Never really been a big fan of this beachy style of folk, it just gets so repetitive, feels like the same song over and over.
A generic r&b album that talks about sex waaaaay too much, never heard the word “pussy” so many times in an hour before. Only a couple listenable tracks right at the end. Not good at all
