Awful. Every song is either bass-boosted to shit, or autotuned to shit. I hate the awful electronic beats and Kanye’s rapping is just awful. Every other song is “I get so much pussy”

I don’t think any album will make me like jazz. Most of the bass sections are very messy. I didn’t care for it at all. Like I’ve stated before, jazz is just waiting music.

This album is most known for genius of love because it’s been in every commercial ever. But when you compile 40 minute of that bleep bloop noise garbage it becomes unbearable after a while. I’ll pass on this one.

The instruments on this album are so loud you can barely hear the singer’s voice half the time. After a while, it sort of all just blends together into… noise. It’s very in-your-face, with the exception of Havalina. I’m not saying it’s bad, I did enjoy it. I just don’t see myself coming back to it any time soon.

When I saw I got a Velvet Underground album I felt sick to my stomach because I was familiar with their noise rock type music, which is a style I don’t particularly enjoy. I went into this with the lowest of expectations and was pleasantly surprised. This album takes a step back from their more experimental work to focus on topics of love and religion. A very beautifully written album that I’m glad I gave a chance to.

I’ve always loved R.E.M.’s music when I would hear it on the radio, nice to listen to one of their albums in it’s entirety. And I’m definitely glad this is the one I got. One of the best albums I’ve gotten in this project so far (day 41).

I don’t understand how people can praise albums like this, Kendrick’s voice is so monotonous. Yet another album where all the songs blend together because they sound practically the same. I’m not saying I disliked this album. It was okay. However I do have some critiques.
Lets start off with the good. The atmosphere is electric, the whole crowd is into it. And I do think James Brown has an incredible voice, that’s even better live than it is in his studio recordings.
On the other hand, the bad… There are parts where you can tell he isn’t singing directly into the microphone because his voice fades out. Kind of frustrating not being able to hear what he is saying for half the album.
I will say this isn’t particularly my style of music, but I didn’t necessarily have a bad time either. It was just okay to me.

This is the second King of Leon album I’ve gotten so far in this project, the other one being Only By The Night. I have to say, in comparison, this album doesn’t nearly come close to bringing as good as the latter, but that’s not to say it’s a bad album. I did enjoy it, I just had my expectations too high. The lead singers voice is much different in this album, it seems like he got some sort of vocal coaching between the releases. And it’s part of the reason this one isn’t getting 5 stars like Only By The Night. His groan-y voice kind of ruins it for me. I will give it a solid 3 stars for the great instrumentals.

I have mixed feelings about this one. There are some really good tunes here, but then you got Graveyard Train and Keep On Chooglin’ that just seem to drag on and on and on. Those 2 songs make up half the album, it’s nuts. If each of those songs were about 4 minutes shorter, this album would be 5-stars. Everything else was upbeat and catchy.

I’ve been on such a good streak of albums that something as interesting as this is still okay. There were a few tracks I quite enjoyed. I particularly liked the “pump up the volume” part of Not Paid Enough. Very interesting album overall. And not nearly as bad as I was expecting.

This is the first album I got on here that i own on vinyl, I absolutely adore this album. A prog rock masterpiece, so so beautiful. There is not a track I would skip. Long epic instrumentals, incredible vocals, everything blends together so perfectly. I could listen to this album a hundred more times.

One of the worst pieces of crap I have ever listened to. Almost every song was veeeery repetitive, just saying the same lines over and over. And there was no flow to the singer’s voice. It was also musically awful. Industrial noise and jazz. Just no. Hated every minute of this.

I absolutely loved this album growing up, and coming back and re-listening to it was a real treat. A perfect blend of eerie and heavy. Knights of Cydonia has a special place in my heart, I remember as a kid staying up late every night trying to get 100% on that song on Guitar Hero. Good times.

Pretty generic overall but it’s my style of music so I jive with it. If you asked me to imagine an 80s hard rock album, I could probably replicate this note for note. Some good guitar grooves and I love the singers voice. I had never heard of The Cult but I actually really enjoyed this album. I did think the cover of Born To Be Wild was a bit abstract. The rest of the album was really quite good.

Very intense, fast album. Great heavy guitar riffs and growly vocals. Absolutely loved it from start to finish. One of the cornerstone albums of metal. I might be a little biased because this is exactly my type of music, but this is an easy 5 stars for me.

Lost interest in this one veeeery quickly, I think because there are no lyrics. It’s okay as background music but it gets a little repetitive after a while. Sitting down and listening to the album as a whole just makes me feel like I’m waiting for something. Musically it’s fine but there’s nothing really attaching me to this album.

Okay, this is an interesting one. Musically it is very minimal, but in a way it works. I think the singers’ voices complement each other very nicely. However there isn’t much variation in sound or tempo and it stays to get a bit repetitive by the end. Overall not bad and a fairly pleasant listen, might come back to this one again at some point, we’ll see.
