I don’t think any album will make me like jazz. Most of the bass sections are very messy. I didn’t care for it at all. Like I’ve stated before, jazz is just waiting music.

This album is most known for genius of love because it’s been in every commercial ever. But when you compile 40 minute of that bleep bloop noise garbage it becomes unbearable after a while. I’ll pass on this one.
No matter how much hip-hop they throw at me, there’s nothing I really enjoy. And this, I particularly did NOT enjoy.
Standout songs: Chunga’s revenge Tango is not for me, only reason I have a standout song is because its a funny name
Awful. Every song is either bass-boosted to shit, or autotuned to shit. I hate the awful electronic beats and Kanye’s rapping is just awful. Every other song is “I get so much pussy”

Standout songs: Waiting for the Sun Land Ho! Maggie M’Gill My first time actually sitting down and listening to a Doors album in full. A few of the songs were a little too slow and mellow for my liking but overall an okay album
Standout Songs: Boogie on Reggae Woman Bird of Beauty This album wasn’t really for me, too sappy
Standout Songs: With Our Love The Girl Wants to Be with the Girls I’m Not In Love Take Me to the River Pretty funky album although I wasn’t fond of the vocals
Standout songs: The Big Sky Cloudbusting Waking the Witch Jig of Life The Morning Fog This album was definitely a trip, but a good trip, so many different styles of music throughout. A really fun experience. Definitely the first album on this journey that I’ve completely enjoyed.
Standout Songs: All I Need You Make It Easy Yeah please no more of whatever that was, I don’t like electronic music like that at all
Standout Songs: Almost Cut My Hair Woodstock 4 + 20
Standout Songs: Atlantic City Highway Patrolman Open All Night My Father’s House
Standout Songs: … Yeah I’m sorry, this album was NOT for me. It made me feel like I was in a hotel lobby, just… waiting. There were no words in this whole album, I prefer music with words, gives the music something to grasp on to. This is just a flat out jazz album. It may be someone’s taste but it ain’t mine. Next please.
Standout Songs: Incident at 66.6FM Welcome to the Terrordome Burn Hollywood Burn Fear of a Black Planet Fight the Power I don’t often listen to hip hop, because I don’t usually like it, but this album was actually pretty okay.
Standout Songs: Welcome to the Jungle Nightrain Mr. Brownstone Paradise City Anything Goes This is the first album in here that I have already heard in it’s entirety, always loved this album.
Standout Songs: Blitzkrieg Bop I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend Chain Saw Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue Listen to My Heart 53rd & 3rd What a fun, upbeat album. I remember my dad had this album on cassette and I was absolutely obsessed with Blitzkrieg Bop. It was nice to finally sit down and listen to the whole thing. Loved it!
Standout Songs: Hyperbolicsyllabicsesquedalymistic One Woman Already my second soul album on this journey, yikes. I’m starting to learn soul isn’t really my thing.
Standout songs: Chunga’s revenge Tango is not for me, only reason I have a standout song is because its a funny name
Standout Songs: Chameleon Sly Woah this album is weird. I honestly don’t really know what to make of it. That’s not to say I didn’t enjoy it, but I was more just left confused by it. So many unique sounds. That’s the word I’d use to describe this album, unique.
Standout Songs: Just Like the Rain I Sleep Alone Nearly fell asleep while walking to work because I was listening to this album, what a snoozer
Standout Songs: Fourth Time Around Visions of Johanna Desolation Row Tell Me, Mama I Don't Believe You Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues Leopard Skin Pill-Box Hat Starting to realize I really like folk rock, already the 3rd album like this that I’ve gotten and I’ve loved every one. This is easily the best live album I’ve heard to date.
Standout Songs: So Easy In Space Remind Me I’m not big on electronic music. Really hoping I don’t get any more albums like this, already the second one within a few days. This one was tolerable but still not good. Just not my style.
Standout Songs: Cecilia Ann Is She Weird Down to the Well Hang Wire Havalina The instruments on this album are so loud you can barely hear the singer’s voice half the time. After a while, it sort of all just blends together into… noise. It’s very in-your-face, with the exception of Havalina. I’m not saying it’s bad, I did enjoy it. I just don’t see myself coming back to it any time soon.
Standout Songs: The Sage Blues Variation The Great Gates of Kiev
Standout Songs: Springtime Promises Hunting Song The Cuckoo Cold Mountain I Saw an Angel
Standout Songs: Harvest Heart of Gold Old Man Alabama The Needle and the Damage Done
Standout Songs: Johnaburg, Illinois Frank’s Wild Years Down, Down, Down
Standout Songs: Johnaburg, Illinois Frank’s Wild Years Down, Down, Down
Oh dear christ where to begin. This is just noise. It’s not music. It’s loud noise. I hated every second of this ear-piercing garbage. Worst thing I’ve heard so far on here. If I could give it 0 stars, I would. Who actually listens to this and thinks “yeah this sounds good”?
Standout Songs: P-Funk (Wants To Get Funked Up) Unfunky UFO Handcuffs
One of the better instrumental albums I’ve gotten from this list. Fits the movie really well, very 70s gangster with a smooth soul touch
Standout Songs: Annie Connection Smile S.O.F.T. Blue Waking Up Never Here Stutter Absolutely incredible album, super fun and upbeat. Just about every song is a pure joy to listen to, gets me pumped up.
Standout Songs: Pyramid Song Knives Out Life in a Glasshouse
Standout Songs: Crash and Carry Kein Trink Wasser Not the worst of the ‘electronica’ type stuff but still not good, sorry.
Standout Songs: Play In The Sunshine Starfish and Coffee Strange Relationship It’s Gonna Be A Beautiful Night An okay album, but not Prince’s best work. A lot of the songs were very sexual and I’m not really into that groove, but at least it had a good beat throughout.
Standout songs: One Way Or Another Pretty Baby 11:59 Heart Of Glass A decent album with good instrumentals. I do like Blondie’s voice but its out of rhythm with the music for parts of the album and it gets a little hard to listen to. Overall not bad though.
Standout songs: No Feelings Liar God Save the Queen Anarchy in the U.K. New York Another very good punk rock album, and an absolute classic
Standout Songs: Rock with You Workin' Day and Night Off the Wall It's the Falling in Love Burn This Disco Down
Standout Songs: Breathe (In the Air) Time Money Us and Them Brain Damage Have always loved this album, and Pink Floyd in general. Nice getting something I recognize and enjoy.
Standout Songs: Jenifa Taught Me (Derwin's Revenge) Eye Know Say No Go Me Myself and I
Standout Songs: Shout The Working Hour Everybody Wants To Rule The World Broken Head Over Heels
Standout Songs: Dig Me Out Turn It On It’s Enough Dance Song ‘97
Standout Songs: N/A Well I found another type of music I really don’t like. This. British rap and EDM? Is this a joke?
Standout Songs: What Goes On Pale Blue Eyes Beginning To See The Light That's The Story Of My Life When I saw I got a Velvet Underground album I felt sick to my stomach because I was familiar with their noise rock type music, which is a style I don’t particularly enjoy. I went into this with the lowest of expectations and was pleasantly surprised. This album takes a step back from their more experimental work to focus on topics of love and religion. A very beautifully written album that I’m glad I gave a chance to.
Standout Songs: Smiling Phases More and More And When I Die You've Made Me So Very Happy Very fun, jazzy album. Absolutely love the singer’s voice. Makes me want to look into more of their music.
Standout Songs: I Remember When Dreaming of You Skeleton Key Calendars and Clocks
Standout Songs: Finest Worksong Disturbance At The Heron House It's The End Of The World As We Know It The One I Love Fireplace Lightnin' Hopkins Oddfellows Local 151 Another incredibly fun album, and an absolute joy to listen to. Stipe’s voice is so beautiful. I’ve always loved R.E.M.’s music when I would hear it on the radio, nice to listen to one of their albums in it’s entirety. And I’m definitely glad this is the one I got. One of the best albums I’ve gotten in this project so far (day 41).
I really did not enjoy this album at all and I’m noticing I don’t like ‘chamber pop’, it’s too depressing. And I hate the singer’s voice and how vibrate-y it is
Awful, terrible, and horrible. I didn't like it one bit. Sounded like an alarm going off and I couldn’t wake up.
Standout Songs: Cabin Essence This feels like an album made for children, there is even a song titled Song For Children. Why is this on the list of albums I need to hear before I die? I might have likes this when I was 2 but listening to it today was just a drag.
Standout Songs: Folsom Prison Blues Cocaine Blues 25 Minutes to Go Orange Blossom Special Dirty Old Egg-Suckin’ Dog Flushed from the Bathroom of Your Heart
Standout Songs: Erdi Beto Soya Banga
Standout Songs: Suite: Judy Blue Eyes You Don't Have To Cry Pre-Road Downs Wooden Ships Long Time Gone
Standout Songs: Spanish Castle Magic Wait Until Tomorrow You Got Me Floatin' One Rainy Wish Little Miss Lover A great album to get stoned and zone out to. Nearly 40 minutes of Jimi’s sweet guitar filling my ears. A lot of interesting sounds used throughout, especially the ending of ‘If 6 Was 9’.
Very long jazz fills interrupted by the same lines over and over and over. All 4 tracks feel exactly the same. Didn’t care for it.
Standout Songs: Pick Up Your Feelings The Other Side Musically, this album is fine, but lyrically, it is one of the worst things I’ve ever heard. 90% of it talk about “I use my pussy to get what I want”. It’s not good music.
Another unnecessarily long album, and the first folk album I’ve gotten that I didn’t enjoy. Every song sounded pretty much the same and nothing really stood out to me. And I don’t feel the singer’s voice matches this style of music.
Standout Songs: Somebody to Love Today 3/5 of a Mile in 10 Seconds White Rabbit Plastic Fantastic Lover Go To Her Come Back Baby
Standout Songs: Crosseyed and Painless Once in a Lifetime
Standout Songs: Blue Skinned Beast Mr Speaker (Gets The Word) Our House Calling Cards Not a bad album, and a song I already knew. Just didn’t blow me away
Standout Songs: The Bends High and Dry Fake Plastic Trees Bullet Proof… I Wish I Was Black Star Street Spirit (Fade Out) One of the few good Radiohead albums in my opinion, way better than their more experimental stuff
Standout Songs: A Rose For Emily Hung Up On A Dream This Will Be Our Year
Standout Songs: Closer Sex on Fire Use Somebody Manhattan Notion Be Somebody Absolutely beautiful album by one of my favourite bands. I have this album on CD and I absolyely love it.
Standout Songs: Second Hand News Dreams Don't Stop Go Your Own Way The Chain I Don't Want To Know Gold Dust Woman A near-perfect album, masterpiece.
Standout Songs: Thunder Road Born to Run Jungleland I understand the praise that this album gets, but I just think it is a little dry. No real difference in sound between songs, another album where everything kinda meshes together. I also find his voice isn’t really in rhythm with the music, and the lyrics are a tad wordy. It’s not a bad album but not Bruce’s best work by any means.
I don’t understand how people can praise albums like this, Kendrick’s voice is so monotonous. Yet another album where all the songs blend together because they sound practically the same. And that long podcast-like conversation at the end, what the hell is that? Maybe I just don’t like rap, maybe I don’t get the art behind it. It’s just not my taste. Standout Songs: King Kunta Institutionalized Momma How Much A Dollar Cost
Standout songs: Let Her Go, God Bless Her Katie Dear
Standout songs: Moonage Daydream Starman Hang On To Yourself Ziggy Stardust
Standout Songs: Movin' On Up Come Together Damaged A little too long for what it is. It was okay but really weird at times.
Standout Songs: Some Weird Sin The Passenger Tonight
A really long and boring jazz album, almost put me to sleep. No standout songs for this one. I don’t like sitting down and listening to a jazz album. I feel like I’m waiting. And waiting for what? Nothing. Just for it to be over.
Standout Songs: Breaking the Girl Suck My Kiss The Righteous & the Wicked Give It Away Under the Bridge My Lovely Man Pretty good album but yet another that gets kinda same-y towards the end
I have very mixed feelings about this album. On the one hand, the instrumentals are absolutely incredible. On the other hand, I can’t stand Alice Cooper’s voice. A lot of the songs are ruined by poor vocals. Musically it’s incredible, but vocally it’s shit. Standout Songs: Elected No More Mr. Nice Guy Generation Landslide
Standout Songs: Creep Diggin' On You Waterfalls If I Was Your Girlfriend
Standout Songs: Setting Me Up Southbound Again Sultans Of Swing In The Gallery Lions Very pleasant blues rock album, I did quite enjoy it
Standout Songs: Assassins Dracula Mountain Crown of Storms 30,000 Monkies
Genuinely awful. Just some guys screaming and banging on their instruments for 40 minutes. Wanted to rip my ears off. One of the worst displays of punk rock I’ve ever seen. Just terrible.
Standout Songs: Movies Of Myself Beautiful Child A slow, sad album that all blends together just like every chamber pop album. Nothing really interesting to me
I’m not saying I disliked this album. It was okay. However I do have some critiques. Lets start off with the good. The atmosphere is electric, the whole crowd is into it. And I do think James Brown has an incredible voice, that’s even better live than it is in his studio recordings. On the other hand, the bad… There are parts where you can tell he isn’t singing directly into the microphone because his voice fades out. Kind of frustrating not being able to hear what he is saying for half the album. I will say this isn’t particularly my style of music, but I didn’t necessarily have a bad time either. It was just okay to me. Standout songs: I’ll Go Crazy I Don’t Mind Medley
Standout Songs: Suite-Pee Sugar DDevil Soil CUBErt Darts P.L.U.C.K. An album I am very familiar with and one I love dearly. 40 minutes of in-your-face metal! System has always been one of my favourite bands, and to get to listen to the album that started it all was just such a treat.
Standout Songs: Respect Down in the Valley My Girl Wonderful World
Standout Songs: Tomorrow’s Dream Snowblind Cornucopia Under The Sun
Very strange album, didn’t care for it much. Especially that one that sounds like birds chirping the whole time, Pacific 202, that was awful
40 minutes of brutal, in your face, hardcore jazz. Not good. At all.
Standout Songs: Art-I-Ficial Let’s Submerge I Am A Poseur Not really much to say, a very average female-led punk album. Could do without the saxophone(?) in the background of most songs.
Overall an okay album, but some songs were a little too sexual for my taste. Similar to how I felt about Heaux Tales. The more ‘gangsta’ tracks were decent to listen to. Standout Songs: Gin and Juice Serial Killa For All My N*ggaz and B*tches Doggy Dogg World
The only thing that redeems this album is the instrumentals. Every song is about sex and cheating and has some racist remark in it. This album did NOT age well, and should stay in the 70s. Next please. Standout Songs Nighthawkin’ (I guess?)
Standout Songs: Kracked Sludgefeast Raisans Lose
Standout Songs: Girl Earthquake Weather Broken Drum Scarecrow Go It Alone
This is the second King of Leon album I’ve gotten so far in this project, the other one being Only By The Night. I have to say, in comparison, this album doesn’t nearly come close to bringing as good as the latter, but that’s not to say it’s a bad album. I did enjoy it, I just had my expectations too high. The lead singers voice is much different in this album, it seems like he got some sort of vocal coaching between the releases. And it’s part of the reason this one isn’t getting 5 stars like Only By The Night. His groan-y voice kind of ruins it for me. I will give it a solid 3 stars for the great instrumentals. Standout Songs: King of the Rodeo Milk The Bucket Razz Velvet Snow
An absolutely incredible album that helped pave the way for heavy metal. It definitely still holds up today, still just an absolute joy to listen to front to back. A little haunting that I got this album the day after the Prince of Darkness passed 🙏 Standout Songs: War Pigs Paranoid Iron Man Electric Funeral Hand of Doom Fairies Wear Boots
Standout Songs: Imagine Crippled Inside It's So Hard Gimme Some Truth Oh My Love Oh Yoko!
Standout Songs: Song 2 M.O.R. You’re So Great Chinese Bombs Movin’ On This album is honestly kind of boring and a chore to get through. Outside of a couple of the faster paced songs, it’s just so… mild. It’s not bad. Some sections of this album just seem to drag a bit, making its 56 minute run time feel like 2 hours.
A string of very basic country songs and an annoying vibrato. Most of the songs mesh together making this short 27 minute album feel like a blink of an eye.
Didn’t like it.
This album is alright, guy has a decent voice. But the sound of the cuica is just awful, I’ve never liked that instrument. And it’s in every damn song.
Standout Songs: Walk This Way Raising Hell
Very slow, boring album. How to make 40 minutes feel like 2 hours 👎
Very interesting industrial album, not very often I get to listen to German music but I quite enjoyed this album. Need more stuff like this on my Spotify. Standout Songs: Leben Heißt Leben Leben - Tod Opus Dei
I have mixed feelings about this one. There are some really good tunes here, but then you got Graveyard Train and Keep On Chooglin’ that just seem to drag on and on and on. Those 2 songs make up half the album, it’s nuts. If each of those songs were about 4 minutes shorter, this album would be 5-stars. Everything else was upbeat and catchy. Standout Songs: Born On The Bayou Good Golly Miss Molly Penthouse Pauper Proud Mary
Super boring hip hop crap, guy can’t rap for shit, almost fell asleep
Veeery slow, sad, and boring country album. Not really much else to say. Been on a pretty cold streak lately of boring albums that feel relatively the same throughout.
Standout Songs: Venus Marquee Moon Prove It
Pretty bland noise rock album, nothing really stood out to me. Not my style.
Standout Songs: The Emperor’s New Clothes Nothing Compares 2 U Jump in the River
Standout Songs: Nitro (Youth Energy) Bad Habit Something to Believe In Come Out and Play Self Esteem It'll Be a Long Time What Happened to You? Smash Absolutey incredible punk rock album, definitely Offspring’s best work. Another album I was pretty familiar with going in and very happy I gave it a full listen.
Standout Songs: Wreck of the Old 97 I Walk the Line A Boy Named Sue
No matter how much hip-hop they throw at me, there’s nothing I really enjoy. And this, I particularly did NOT enjoy.
Standout Songs: Visions Of You Rising Above Bedlam So this is my first album with the genre label as “World” (after 102 albums), and I gotta say, I don’t really care for it. It’s a blend of many different cultures of music and just feels confusing. Not my style
Standout Songs: I'm Waiting For The Man There She Goes Again
Standout Songs: On A Rope Drop Out Used Misbeaten Come See, Come Saw At first I was unsure, but after a couple songs I really started to get into it.
Standout Songs: Natural Mystic Waiting In Vain Three Little Birds Not the biggest fan of reggae, but I gotta admit this album had me nodding my head to the rhythm a couple times
Wasn’t too into it, but the pew pew noises in Pt. 2 were cool
Standout Songs: Hells Bells Shoot to Thrill Givin the Dog a Bone Back In Black You Shook Me All Night Long Have a Drink on Me Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution Probably my favourite AC/DC album, so so happy I got to listen to this. Nearly every song absolutely ROCKS!
Standout Songs: Tinseltown in the Rain Stay Kind of middle of the road for me, a couple upbeat tunes but nothing too flashy
Really sad and mopey, and for some songs the lyrics make no sense. A sloppy mess
Standout Songs: Shiver Yellow Everything’s Not Lost
Standout Songs: Blue Orchid Little Ghost The Denial Twist Instinct Blues Red Rain Pretty solid album. I have heard a few songs from this band before but nothing off this album, although it has a similar vibe to stuff I’ve heard.
Standout Songs: Most Anything You Want Termination Half of the album is taken up by one track, that’s the only real downside to this album. That last track drags on and on and on
Standout Songs: Sabotage Alright Hear This
Very messy jazz album that I didn’t really enjoy at all. Every songs had many parts that felt all over the place, out of rhythm. Not for me at all.
Standout Songs: Family Snapshot And Through The Wire Did not really enjoy this one, especially the first handful of songs. I don’t really like art/experimental rock.
Standout Songs: Furry Sings The Blues A Strange Boy Black Crow Decent folk album but a few of the songs were waaay too long. Having multiple 6+ minute songs in a row makes it drag a little. I do love Joni’s voice.
Standout Songs: Drive My Car You Won't See Me Think For Yourself The Word What Goes On In My Life Wait
Standout Songs: Statesboro Blues Stormy Monday Hot 'Lanta Okay so, this album is pretty good. I’m not usually one for long instrumental sections, but this is a style of music I enjoy, so it’s not too bad. The songs that do have lyrics are very enjoyable, love the singer’s voice. The guitarist is very talented, the long solos are so clean.
I’m on a really good stretch of albums right now, and it continues with this prog rock masterpiece. Some of the best guitar work I’ve ever heard. I almost didn’t want the album to end. Standout Songs: Inertiatic Esp Drunkship of Lanterns Eriatarka Televators Take The Veil Cerpin Taxt
Probably the greatest live recording of all time. Basically just a compilation of all my favourite Nirvana songs. Incredible. Perfect. Standout Songs: All of them.
Standout Songs: Jump Panama Top Jimmy Hot for Teacher I'll Wait Girl Gone Bad Hell yeah! One of my all time favourite albums comes up on the list. Half an hour of rockin’ out! Been on such a good streak of albums lately.
This is not typically my style of music. I gotta be in a particular mood to enjoy this kind of music. And in that mood I was. I’ve been on such a good streak of albums that something as interesting as this is still okay. There were a few tracks I quite enjoyed. I particularly liked the “pump up the volume” part of Not Paid Enough. Very interesting album overall. And not nearly as bad as I was expecting. Standout Songs: People Hold On Stop This Crazy Thing Smoke Dis One Not Paid Enough
Standout Songs: Out In The Street My Generation The Kids Are Alright, It's Not True I'm A Man I think the roulette knows what’s going on in the real world, because The Who just started their farewell tour. This coming just over a month after me getting Paranoid on the day Ozzy died. Cryptic.
Standout Songs: I Can't Explain Tattoo Young Man Blues Happy Jack Amazing Journey / Sparks Summertime Blues My Generation Great live album. Also my second Who album in a row. I do think they sound better live honestly
Standout Songs: Rock You Sacrifice Thought @ Work The Seed (2.0) Complexity
Standout Songs: Vicious Perfect Day Satellite of Love Wagon Wheel Not bad, although I think Lou’s voice is very monotonous and sounds nearly the same in every song. Musically it’s really good, lyrically it’s okay (my only critique is he talks about sex quite a bit). Overall a decent album but probably not one I will return to.
Standout Songs: She Belongs to Me Love Minus Zero Outlaw Blues Bob Dylan's 115th Dream Mr. Tambourine Man I’ve said it in reviews before, I’m really becoming fond of folk rock. This album was a very nice listen while I did the dishes. Always loved Bob Dylan.
Standout Songs: American Idiot Jesus of Suburbia Holiday / Boulevard of Broken Dreams Give Me Novocaine / She’s a Rebel Wake Me up When September Ends Homecoming When you think of 2000s punk rock, this is usually the album that comes to mind. And for good reason. I absolutely adore this album, so good from start to finish. Upbeat and fun, groovy guitar, and incredible drumming. Damn near perfect to me.
Standout Songs: Asking For It Jennifer's Body I Think That I Would Die Rock Star
Extremely long, very repetitive, and brutally annoying. Nothing good came out of listening to this. 90% of it was the same beat. And not a good beat. And the vocals were just god awful (on the few songs that actually HAD vocals). Never touching this album again.
Standout Songs: Highway To Hell Girls Got Rhythm Touch Too Much Shot Down in Flames If You Want Blood (You've Got It) Night Prowler
Standout Songs: Rikki Don't Lose That Number Any Major Dude Will Tell You Barrytown Parker's Band With A Gun Charlie Freak Really solid album that was fun to listen to. Even the slower songs still had a cheerful vibe. Very pleasant
About an hour of random guitar riffs and pointless lyrics followed by 7 minutes of the most unbearable screeching you’ll ever hear. Not good.
Standout Songs: A Million Pleading Faces I Can't Help Myself
Standout Songs: Girls Just Want to Have Fun Time After Time All Through The Night Witness Some decent songs on here but a bit too much pop for me
I hate how much I enjoyed this album. Great vocals, I honestly didn't mind that it was in french because I like the singers voice so much. Also decent instrumentals. Overall not nearly as bad as I was expecting. Very fun pop-y album. Standout Songs: Comme si on s'aimait Doesn't matter (voleur de soleil) 5 dols Machin-chose L'étranger (voleur d'eau)
Another album on the bad side of noise rock. I’m very iffy on this genre already and this album didn’t help. Not really my groove.
I still can’t really get behind Coldplay. Most of their stuff is soooo sappy and sad. A couple okay tracks but nothing I’d really call amazing Standout Songs: God Put a Smile upon Your Face Clocks
Decent pop album, really catchy and happy. Pretty good. Standout Songs: Turn to Stone Sweet Talkin’ Woman Jungle Standin’ in the Rain Summer and Lightning Birmingham Blues
Another new wave / synth pop garbage fest. Why am I getting so many pop albums in a row?? I can’t bring myself to like this style of music
Standout Songs: Devils Haircut Lord Only Knows Derelict Sissyneck
Standout Songs: Stir It Up Midnight Ravers Still not big on reggae, most of the songs blend together and sound the same. Very boring. Bob Marley does have some decent songs but I never really desire sitting down and listening to a whole album.
Didn’t care for it. Very messy, and the songwriting isn't good. A lot of “I’m so sad life is so hard” stuff.
Another album that’s just waaaay too slow and sappy. Nothing else really to say about it, I think it’s boring
This list never disappoints when it comes to live albums. I love Thin Lizzy, hard rockin’ music and amazing guitar solos. I do think the singers voice sounds better in studio recordings, but overall I can’t complain. I enjoyed the album. Standout Songs: Jailbreak Emerald Rosalie (Cowgirl's Song) Johnny The Fox Meets Jimmy The Weed The Boys Are Back In Town Don't Believe A Word Are You Ready?
Decent album overall, a couple upbeat tunes that I could groove to. I particularly liked the solo at the end of What’s The Hurry? Although I don’t particularly enjoy the singers voice, it didn’t really take away from my enjoyment of the album.
Yet another very generic british pop-rock album, soooo many of these on this list. Everything blends together into one long medley.
Awful. Every song is either bass-boosted to shit, or autotuned to shit. I hate the awful electronic beats and Kanye’s rapping is just awful. Every other song is “I get so much pussy”
Standout Songs: Longview Welcome to Paradise Basket Case She When I Come Around Coming Clean Enemius Sleepus In The End Really solid album. A nice change of pace from the last 2-ish weeks of slop. Always loved Green Day, and I actually have this album on CD so it was nice to re-listen to it. A lot of catchy tunes.
Another really great live album! So many good songs from Cheap Trick’s discography. A very fun upbeat album and you can tell the crowd is really into it. Standout Songs: Come On, Come On Lookout Need Your Love Ain't That A Shame I Want You To Want Me Surrender Goodnight
Standout Songs: Shining Star That’s The Way Of The World Reasons
Another generic hiphop album that seems to repeat itself with every song. Never heard the n-word slung around so much in one album.
A couple good songs here and there but most of the flows sound pretty much the same. Every other song is about “Hey we’re the beastie boys and we know how to rap”. Same problem I had with Ill Communication. Maybe I just don’t understand the symbolism of it. Standout Songs: Rhymin and Stealin Slow Ride Fight For Your Right
Standout Songs: Sunshine Belly Dancin' Dina Tribe Vibes Doin' Our Own Dang
One of the few Who albums I’m not fond of. The whole advertisement aspect didn’t really jive with me but there are a couple decent tracks. Standout Songs: Mary Anne With The Shaky Hand Tattoo I Can See For Miles
Probably the greatest debut album of all time, and one of that is dear to my heart. I can sing along to every song on this album. It will always be one of my favourites. 10/10
This album is a little boring and slow. The kind of music they play at a high-end bar, where there’s a beautiful lady in a sparkly dress singing in a foreign language. I do love the singers voice although I can’t understand a word she’s saying (I don’t speak Portuguese). It’s not my style but I didn’t hate it, it’s okay. Standout songs: Sem Contencao Bananiera Close Your Eyes
Why is there so much of this crappy british electronic music on here? It’s boring and repetitive. The same beats looping for 6 minutes at a time. This album is way too long and I see no situation where I would enjoy listening to something like this. I was definitely not satisfied.
Just more annoying european electronic music. Stupid robot voices and weird bleeps and bloops. I hate this kind of “music” if you can even call it that. It’s just sounds.
A solid album, I love the raspy-ness of his voice. It is a tad boring at times, but overall not bad. Standout Songs: Every Picture Tells A Story Seems Like A Long Time Mandolin Wind
Not nearly as bad as most of the rap albums on this list. That being said, I still don’t really care for rap. I will admit there were a handful of songs that had me nodding my head. Also think it’s cool that she shouts out some of her inspirations. Standout Songs: Selfish 101 FM Flowers
I typically like folk rock albums but I just must not have been in the mood for folk, because I didn’t really enjoy it. Nothing particularly stood out to me. It wasn’t bad, just bland.
I don’t think any album will make me like jazz. Most of the bass sections are very messy. I didn’t care for it at all. Like I’ve stated before, jazz is just waiting music.
80 minutes of the worst generic pop slop you can imagine. Back to basics? Yeah it was basic, bland as all hell. And what was up with the over the top sexual stuff. Nasty naught boy? Still dirty? Gross. Almost unbearable to listen to in it’s entirety.
An unnecessarily long folk album where the back half feels like a demo, a couple decent tracks early on but nothing really too exciting. Should have been about 20 minutes shorter in my opinion Standout Songs: Cripple Creek Broken Heart Books of Moses
I absolutely adore this album. It’s one of the few I’ve gotten on here that I own on CD. Something about this album perfectly encapsulates the 90s, I love everything about it. I know that Alanis is not the best singer, but it gives her music a distinct sound that I’ll never get tired of. Standout Songs: All of them!!!
Another album where it’s not my style of music but I like the singer’s voice. I’m not big on music where I can’t understand the lyrics. Standout Songs: Je ne t'aime plus Welcome to Tijuana
Standout Songs: Route 66 i Just Want To Make Love To You Mona (I Need You Baby) Carol Can I Get A Witness
Musically a decent album, but the singer’s voice pretty much mumbles his way through the whole thing. Right down the middle of the road for me, didn’t hate it but wasn’t anything great either Standout Songs: Lost In Music It's A Curse Service
This album would be fine if it was about an hour and a half shorter. A lot of the overly sexual songs and skits can go. There are a few decent songs, and if the album of as just those few songs, it’d be 4-5 stars, but there’s sooooo much crap
One of the better hiphop albums I’ve gotten, pretty funky. I was surprised to see there was a song I knew (It’s Nasty). Decent stuff
This is, in my opinion, Linkin Park’s second-best album behind Meteora. Has a lot of my favourites of their songs. It is a little short, only running 37 minutes, but I enjoyed every second of it. Chester Bennington had one of the greatest voices in nu metal history. Standout Songs: Papercut One Step Closer With You Crawling Runaway In the End A Place for My Head Pushing Me Away
A crappy generic rap album that uses the weirdest samples at the weirdest times. I already don’t enjoy hip-hop and this album did not help change that. Hard pass on this one.
Standout Songs: Garbageman Sunglasses After Dark Mystery Plane Strychnine
A decent folk album. Nothing too flashy but still quite enjoyable. Standout Songs: Cowboy Movie What Are Their Names Orleans
Okay so I normally like Neil Young, but this garage rock phase he had is not great. A lot of the songs on this album are way too long and boring, and it kinda just melts together. Just another album where I didn’t really enjoy it but I didn’t necessarily hate it either. Meh.
Never really been a big fan of this beachy style of folk, it just gets so repetitive, feels like the same song over and over.
A generic r&b album that talks about sex waaaaay too much, never heard the word “pussy” so many times in an hour before. Only a couple listenable tracks right at the end. Not good at all
Standout Songs: Too Young to Die Music of the Mind Emergency on Planet Earth Whatever It Is, I Just Can’t Stop
Yet another way too long hiphop album that just sounds the same as all the rest. I’ll never understand how people can praise music like this
Fast paced but a tad repetitive, overall not bad Standout Songs: Forward To Death Let’s Lynch The Landlord California Uber Alles Holiday In Cambodia
Nice easy listen. A good blend of rock and soft pop. Pretty good. Standout Songs: In France They Kiss on Main Street The Jungle Line Don't Interrupt the Sorrow The Hissing of Summer Lawns
Standout Songs: C.T.A. - 102 Thoughts and Words My Back Pages The Girl With No Name
A very dark and gloomy atmosphere around this one, makes it kind of slow and boring, but overall not horrible. Standout Songs: Insight Shadowplay Interzone
Not too bad, had sort of a Bob Dylan vibe. Was a bit repetitive in style but overall enjoyable. Standout Songs: The Virgin White Light Tears Of Rage
Standout Songs: Rhythm Nation Love Will Never Do (Without You) Alright Black Cat Not really my style, but a couple songs I knew from the radio
I was starting to get a little sick of all the folk rock on this list, but this album was pretty good. Nothing felt too same-y like most folk stuff. Standout Songs: Cecilia Keep the Customer Satisfied The Boxer Baby Driver
Slow and monotonous, another boring indie rock type album that nearly put me to sleep
Fairly repetitive disco album, never been a fan of disco. I think these guys can be categorized as one hit wonders
A really catchy, funky album. A lot of songs on this album became big hits, and for good reason. It’s an all around great time. Standout Songs: Bad The Way You Make Me Feel Liberian Girl Man in the Mirror I Just Can't Stop Loving You Dirty Diana Smooth Criminal
A mediocre british rock album, and another one that was relatively same-y. I probably would have enjoyed this back when I was in middle school but now its just not my taste
A very loud and messy jazz album that was almost a chore to sit through. This one is about 40 minutes too long
Standout Songs: Maybe Your Baby Superstition Big Brother
Still can’t wrap my head around this kind of music. I don’t get why people like it. So vulgar, every other word is either the n-word, or some sort of swearing. Not for me
A fairly mellow pop album that was a tad repetitive but overall not bad. Not exactly my style but there are a few enjoyable tracks.
This album is most known for genius of love because it’s been in every commercial ever. But when you compile 40 minute of that bleep bloop noise garbage it becomes unbearable after a while. I’ll pass on this one.
A very mellow country pop album, not really my style, and a lot of the songs were too slow, but I can appreciate the singer’s voice. Not bad but I don’t think I’ll revisit this one
Standout Songs: Aqualung Cross-Eyed Mary Wond'ring Aloud Hymn 43 Locomotive Breath Really solid album, I love prog rock style stuff like this.
This album has a nice atmosphere to it, but it moves a little too slow for my liking. Bowie is undeniably iconic, and the title track is really solid. I just thought the long instrumental section was a bit boring
Not as bad as I was expecting. I typically don’t like Sonic Youth but this one wasn’t terrible. Didn’t really like the long segments of just noise, but the actual music was decent. Standout Songs: Dirty Boots Kool Thing Disappearer
Standout Songs: Roundabout South Side of the Sky Long Distance Runaround Heart of the Sunrise Absolutely beautiful prog album that’s so much more than just the “To Be Continued…” meme. Very much enjoyed it.
Decent dance-y music, one of the few pop albums I’ve gotten on here that was actually okay. Didn’t really care for the vocals, the singer doesn't have much range in his voice, but the music was good.
Slow repetitive crap. Ian Curtis groaning about how sad life is for 45 minutes. His voice reminds me so much of Lou Reed, I hate it. There’s nothing particularly interesting here, never understood the hype of Joy Division
Love my ears being blown off by screaming in the first 5 seconds. Anyways. What the actual fuck is this? It sounds like something a couple drunk college kids and an Elvis impersonator made in an hour. A lot of the “songs”… if you can even call them that… are loud obnoxious noise and bullshit shouting. One of the worst experiences I’ve had from this project. A waste of 45 minutes.
One of the best albums ever. I love Eddie Vedder, the greatest voice in grunge. This album is a perfect blend of heavy and depressing. Absolutely beautiful, flows perfectly. 10/10
Standout Songs: Rue des tempêtes Crier les chiens Ville Notre L'Amourir
I typically don’t like british post-punk stuff like this, but this one was okay. Musically it was pretty good. Singer’s voice is a tad monotonous and doesn’t vary much but it works in this case. Not bad. Standout Songs: Pretty In Pink No Tears Mr. Jones All of This and Nothing
To say I was skeptical going into this album would be an understatement, but I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t expecting it to have as much rock influence as it did. Also I love Kiwanuka’s voice. So full of soul and passion. Really solid. Standout Songs: You Ain't The Problem Rolling I've Been Dazed Hero Hard To Say Goodbye Solid Ground
Couldn’t really get behind this one. Most of the album is slow ambient music with no words. This is what I would consider studying music. Just listening to it at face value doesn't really do much for me.
So apparently there’s two more albums of these guys on this list… gee I sure am excited for that. Half the album is just talking over music, and the parts that do have actual singing are nearly incomprehensible. Singers sound like they have marbles in their mouths. Only tolerable song was just Werewolves of London with different words. It’s clear to see why these guys are seen as one hit wonders
Standout Songs: Ex Lion Tamer The Commercial Strange
Decent album, going into this list I had a notion that I didn’t like Radiohead without ever having listened to them, but this is now my third Radiohead album on this list and they’re definitely growing on me Standout Songs: Backdrifts Go To Sleep Where I End and You Begin There, There Myxomatosis Scatterbrain
I enjoyed this more than I expected, flows very nicely and its got good rhythm. A little repetitive but overall enjoyable. Standout Songs: You Make Me Feel So Young You’re Getting To Be A Habit With Me Old Devil Moon I’ve Got You Under My Skin Makin’ Whoopee
Standout Songs: Dandy House in the Country Holiday in Waikiki Sunny Afternoon
Standout Songs: Rusholme Ruffians I Want the One I Can’t Have What She Said Not bad, i’m not huge on indie rock but this album is okay. So many british singers have no range in their voices
Way better than I was expecting, I love the raw energy of this album and PJ Harvey’s voice is soooo good. Definitely recommend this one. Standout Songs: Missed Legs Rub 'Til It Bleeds Man-Size Sextet 50ft Queenie Man-Size Dry Me-Jane
Very repetitive resort-style music. Just taking this album at face value its veeeery boring. It’d be fine in a beach setting but just sitting down and listening to it is not fun. I’m gonna be hearing “Pousser, poussa” in my dreams tonight. Just not good at all.
First handful of songs were slow and repetitive but halfway through the album it switches to hard rock, groovy guitar riffs, overall solid music. Not my favourite Neil Young work but still pretty good
As influential and important as this album is, it’s just not my style of music, I’m not really one for slow sappy soul like this.
A really great classic rock album, near perfect from start to finish. Beautiful guitar throughout. I love my old man music haha Standout Songs: Hotel California Life in the Fast Lane Wasted Time Victim of Love Try and Love Again The Last Resort
Honestly don’t understand why most of the reviews on this album complain about his voice, I kinda liked it. Standout Songs: Kinder Murder 13 Steps Lead Down You Tripped at Every Step Sulky Girl My Science Fiction Twin Just About Glad
A nice mix of folk rock and soul, she has a great voice, lots of range. Standout songs: Down To Zero Water With The Wine People
Really solid album, Santana might be one of the greatest guitar players ever. Every song sounds different, but they flow so well into each other. It felt like I was listening to a spanish radio station. Standout Songs: Black Magic Woman / Gypsy Queen Oye Como Va Mother's Daughter Hope You're Feeling Better
Musically decent but a lot of the lyrics felt like they were written by a 5 year old, random jumbles of words that don’t really say anything when all is said and done Standout songs: The Daily Planet Maybe the People
This is the first album I got on here that i own on vinyl, I absolutely adore this album. A prog rock masterpiece, so so beautiful. There is not a track I would skip. Long epic instrumentals, incredible vocals, everything blends together so perfectly. I could listen to this album a hundred more times. Standout Songs: All of them
Not the worst thing I’ve ever heard but still not my style. Never been able to really get behind jazz. I’m not saying it’s bad music, I just don’t find anything to grasp on to because there are no words.
A weird blend of jazz and dark ambiance. The whole album is paced weirdly. Listening to a soundtrack for a movie that doesn’t exist doesn’t feel right
One of the worst pieces of crap I have ever listened to. Almost every song was veeeery repetitive, just saying the same lines over and over. And there was no flow to the singer’s voice. It was also musically awful. Industrial noise and jazz. Just no. Hated every minute of this.
I absolutely loved this album growing up, and coming back and re-listening to it was a real treat. A perfect blend of eerie and heavy. Knights of Cydonia has a special place in my heart, I remember as a kid staying up late every night trying to get 100% on that song on Guitar Hero. Good times. Standout Songs: Starlight Map of the Problematique Invincible Assassin Exo-Politics City of Delusion Knights of Cydonia
Short and sweet, a very nice folky album. Every song felt fresh, there were no two back to back songs that sounded the same. Really solid. Standout Songs: Cloudy Homeward Bound The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin’ Groovy) A Simple Desultory Philippic 7 O’clock News / Silent Night
I didn’t enjoy this one nearly as much as Hounds of Love, but it was still okay. A little more abstract. Standout Songs: The Dreaming All The Love
Another monotonous british rock album, but not quite as bad as the rest. Had no idea what shoegaze was but it’s basically post punk meets noise rock. It’s fine but probably not something I’d revisit Standout Songs: Kaleidoscope In a Different Place Paralyzed
A really soft album thats just a little too slow for my liking, particularly the last 5-ish songs. I’m okay with folk music but this one just didnt quite appeal to me. A few decent tracks but nothing too exciting in my opinion Standout songs: Duncan Run That Body Down Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard
Pretty generic overall but it’s my style of music so I jive with it. If you asked me to imagine an 80s hard rock album, I could probably replicate this note for note. Some good guitar grooves and I love the singers voice. I had never heard of The Cult but I actually really enjoyed this album. I did think the cover of Born To Be Wild was a bit abstract. The rest of the album was really quite good. Standout Songs: Wild Flower Lil’ Devil Aphrodisiac Jacket King Contrary Man Love Removal Machine Outlaw Memphis Hip Shake
A little longer than it needed to be. A couple decent songs but mostly generic brit pop. Standout Songs: End of a Century Badhead To the End Jubilee
Really solid classic rock album, I’m a big fan of the rolling stones and I knew a few songs off this album already. Great vocals and incredible guitar work. Standout Songs: Gimme Shelter Country Honk Live With Me Let It Bleed Monkey Man You Can’t Always Get What You Want
Standout Songs: Tainted Love Bedsitter Say Hello, Wave Goodbye
Very intense, fast album. Great heavy guitar riffs and growly vocals. Absolutely loved it from start to finish. One of the cornerstone albums of metal. I might be a little biased because this is exactly my type of music, but this is an easy 5 stars for me. Standout Songs: Black Metal To Hell and Back Raise the Dead Leave Me In Hell Sacrifice Heaven's On Fire Countess Bathory At War With Satan
I work in a grocery store. This crap is all I hear all December. This is not enjoyable for me. Makes me want to rip my hair out. I hate christmas music.
Not a bad album but just didn’t really do it for me. A couple decent songs but nothing was exceptional.
A handful of decent songs musically, had really goos bass throughout, but the singing was god awful. Incomprehensible babbling. Standout Songs: Modern Dance Street Waves
A perfect blend of synth pop and hard rock. Love the bouncy atmosphere accompanied by cool guitar riffs. Fun from start to finish. The Cars are probably the best ‘New Wave’ band in my opinion. Standout Songs: Good Times Roll My Best Friend's Girl Just What I Needed I'm in Touch with Your World Don't Cha Stop Bye Bye Love All Mixed Up
Some really good stuff and some really bad stuff. I honestly don’t know how to feel about this album. There were a couple songs I really did enjoy, but then there’s god awful crap like ‘Dead Finks Don’t Talk’. Very mixed feelings. Standout Songs: Baby’s On Fire Cindy Tells Me On Some Faraway Beach
Lost interest in this one veeeery quickly, I think because there are no lyrics. It’s okay as background music but it gets a little repetitive after a while. Sitting down and listening to the album as a whole just makes me feel like I’m waiting for something. Musically it’s fine but there’s nothing really attaching me to this album.
Every song is some combination of the following themes: drugs, guns, and sex. Very generic beat and awful vulgar lyrics. What a waste of an hour of my life. Can’t stand this style of rap.
Standout Songs: I’m Your Hoochie Coochie Man Baby, Please Don’t Go Tiger In Your Tank I’ve Got My Mojo Working
I loved Dylans live 1966 album and this album has a couple songs from that one. Really good folk rock. Standout Songs: Like a Rolling Stone Tombstone Blues Ballad of a Thin Man Highway 61 Revisited Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues Desolation Row
This album felt lifeless, like most indie rock. Awful monotonous vocals. Seemed to drag on longer than the 39 minutes it actually is.
Pretty decent album, very funky at times and chill and smooth at other times, a good blend. I liked this one. Standout Songs: Billy Jack So in Love Love to the People
Hate this slow depressing style of pop/rock. It screams “feel sorry for me”. Lyrically it didn't age well and musically it’s boring. Pass on this one.
Pretty good old timey country music. A good blend of upbeat twangy stuff and soft slow stuff. The songs, although short, felt fresh. Standout Songs: I’ve Got a Tiger By the Tail Let the Sad Times Roll On Wham Bam We’re Gonna Let the Good Times Roll Memphis Act Naturally
Very generic hiphop about “I’m so good at rapping and I get bitches”. Nothing exciting, and I already don’t like hiphop to begin with.
Standout Songs: Victoria Brainwashed Shangri-La Mr. Churchill Says Nothing To Say Arthur
A lot better than I was expecting, some really fun grooves. One I will definitely come back to. Standout Songs: Autumn Shade Sunshinin Get Free Factory In The Jungle
Incredibly boring folk-y pop album thats waaaaay to long for what it gives you. Most of the songs have the same mellow beat. Damn near fell asleep. When I saw Bee Gees I was expecting disco which I don’t like and somehow this was worse than my expectations. Boring and tedious.
Pretty decent folk album, Cat’s voice kinda reminds me of Peter Gabriel. It’s not the most exciting music but it gets the job done. Standout Songs: Where Do The Children Play Wild World But I Might Die Tonight Longer Boats Tea For The Tillerman
A lot better than I was expecting. Maybe I was just in a good mood because I don’t usually enjoy this type of music, but I felt myself grooving along to most of the album. Using synth and electronic sounds in all the right ways. A true diamond in the rough. Standout Songs: What Time Is Love? Last Train To Trancentral Build A Fire No More Tears Justified & Ancient
Standout Songs: Crosstown Traffic Little Miss Strange Come On (Let the Good Times Roll) 1983… (A Merman I Should Turn to Be) House Burning Down All Along The Watchtower
A combination of my 2 least favourite genres, electronic and hip hop. An absolute chore to sit through. Standout Songs: Overcome Pumpkin
Okay, this is an interesting one. Musically it is very minimal, but in a way it works. I think the singers’ voices complement each other very nicely. However there isn’t much variation in sound or tempo and it stays to get a bit repetitive by the end. Overall not bad and a fairly pleasant listen, might come back to this one again at some point, we’ll see. Standout Songs: Crystalised Islands Shelter Infinity
This album is fine, I like blues rock but I do think this one is a little too long and repetitive. By the end of the album songs start blending together.
Standout Songs: He’s the Greatest Dancer Thinking of You We Are Family You’re a Friend to Me
Musically decent, but a little boring. Also random n-word thrown in, not cool
A very slow, mellow R&B album that nearly put me to sleep. Most of the songs have similar generic beats and talk about being black.
First half of the album is fairly generic country rock and the back half is slow ballads. And to be honest, I wasn’t huge on either. Not bad by any means but not exciting either.
This album is funky in all the right ways, love the bass work here. There were no songs I would consider bad in any way. Absolutely loved their rendition of Listen to the Music. Standout Songs: That Lady If You Were There Listen to the Music Summer Breeze The Highways of My Life
Standout Songs: Just One Fix Hero Psalm 69
One of the better jazz albums I’ve heard on here, the vocals on the first track are incredible and there is enough variety through the rest of the album for it to feel fresh without needing words. Standout Songs: Street Life Carnival Of The Night
Very easy going, bluesy rock music that does the job. Its not exactly exciting but its a decent listen at a short 33 minutes. Standout Songs Jesus Just Left Chicago Beer Drinkers & Hell Raisers Precious and Grace La Grange
Funky hip hop album that had me nodding my head. It is a bit too long and gets a tad repetitive but I did fairly enjoy it Standout Songs: Connected Everything Fade Away Step It Up The End
An hour of crappy synth music and shitty repetitive lyrics. Like, the title track is just a list of musicians’ names. This absolutely did NOT destroy rock & roll.
The name speaks for itself, its honestly kinda garbage. Very generic grunge-y pop that just got stale really quick.
It’s just an hour of piano, there’s nothing exciting about it. It bores me.
Flavor Flav has got to be the worst rapper of all time
I love Led Zeppelin, but this album is just a bit too long, some of the songs are 8+ minutes which is a bit too much for me. Musically and lyrically it is really good, my only negative about it is that it is too long.
One of the most mind-numbingly boring britpop albums I’ve heard so far. They all souns almost exactly the same
Son of a bitch… I wanted to hate this. I really wanted to hate this. But damn it, its so catchy. Almost every song is easy to listen to. Flows nicely between songs and isn’t too long. Standout Songs: Blank Space Style All You Had To Do Was Stay I Wish You Would Wildest Dreams How You Get The Girl This Love I Know Places *Note: Out Of The Woods is a good song, but the chorus is very repetitive, so it didn't make my list
Over an hour of really bad noise pop, almost every song physically hurt to listen to
Yet another way-too-long british indie pop album, how many of these are there gonna be? Its boring, monotonous, and just not fun to listen to.
Really slow paced trip hop that all just starts to sound the same after a while, everything blends together into one long electronic/hiphop medley that I don’t particularly care for
I find myself having a recurring phase with celtic music, so this is right up my alley. Sort of has a Flogging Molly feel, actually had to google to see if it was the same singer (it’s not). Really liked this one. Standout Songs: If I Should Fall from Grace with God Turkish Song of the Damned Bottle of Smoke South Australia Fiesta Sit Down by the Fire
Somehow, every Elvis Costello album I listen to is worse than the last. And I still have 3 more to go… yippee. Anyways… This album feels very dull, and very repetitive. It’s almost art rock but just sounds so flat. Nothing really stood out as great to me on this one.
A good combination of hard rock and soft somber melodies. Wish Buckley had been able to make more music, he was so talented Standout Songs: Mojo Pin Grace Hallelujah Lover, You Should’ve Come Over Eternal Life
Not bad per se, just quite repetitive. I really don't understand the massive hype around these guys, it’s just generic folk rock. Standout Songs: Sugar Magnolia Till the Morning Comes
Standout Songs: The Cisco Kid Where Was You At The World Is A Ghetto Beetles In The Bog
A very fast paced, short hardcore punk album that didnt really grab my attention all that much, just sounded like the same little minute-long bashing and thrashing over and over.
Very strange brazilian electronica with a slight industrial feel. After a while it felt like background noise.
I really dont care for this experimental era bowie had, the weird instrumentals on the back half make this album feel way longer that it actually was. Its just not for me
You can tell the ‘1001 Albums…’ book was written and published in the UK with the amount of generic british pop/rock. It’s boring. Standout Songs: Kinky Afro Dennis And Lois Step On
Standout Songs: Brendan #1 Merchandise Two Beats Off Reprovisional
A nice blues-y album that foes run on a little too long for what it is. It gets a little repetitive. I do really enjoy this style of music though. Standout Songs: Everlasting Light Howlin’ For You She’s Long Gone The Only One Ten Cent Pistol Unknown Brother
I like the Beatles, but this is probably their worst album. Very generic 60s boy-band pop. Almost no change in style. Plus every song is barely 2 minutes, makes every song pass by before you can blink
Standout Songs: Radio Free Europe Laughing Talk About The Passion Moral Kiosk Perfect Circle Sitting Still Shaking Through
Not bad but nothing too exciting. I do really like grunge so there was never going to be a world where I hated this, but it didn’t exactly blow me away. Felt a little too mellow. Standout Songs: Halo of Ashes All I Know Dying Days Dime Western
A decent little rock and roll album, nothing too flashy but gets the job done. It is rather short at only 30 minutes, but it’s a nice 30 minutes. Standout Songs: Breakdown The Wild One, Forever Anything That’s Rock ‘N’ Roll American Girl
Very strange instrumental album that I got bored of really fast, there was both too much and not enough going on at the same time.
Enjoyed this one a lot more than I was expecting. When this album popped up, my immediate reaction was “what the hell is this gonna be?”, but then I listened to the first track and I was like “hey I know this”. Sounds very similar to Phil Collins/Peter Gabriel. Very much enjoyed it.
Musically boring, and lyrically stupid. Half the time I was listening to this, I kept thinking “there’s no way these are the actual words, this is beyond dumb”. I’ve never liked Morrissey or The Smiths, and this further solidifies that opinion
Okay this one was pretty good. Had I not done my regular research beforehand I would have thought this album was performed by a man. A very unique voice that works well with this style of music. Like a lot pf the albums on this list, it’s not OVERLY exciting, but it gets the job done for what it is
For the record, I don’t typically like hip hop, that being said, this album was okay. Fun and funky beats throughout and the lyrics weren’t incredibly vulgar like most hip hop albums. Although its not really my style of music, I also have no complaints. Standout Songs: Oh Shit Soul Flower Officer Pack Tha Pipe
One of my all time favourite albums, I’ve loved Rush since I was a kid (I have all 19 of their albums on CD, this one being my favourite). An absolutely beautiful progressive rock masterpiece. Amazing guitar work, and some of the greatest drumming you’ll ever hear. Perfection.
Solid old-timey pop album, I love her voice so much. Beautiful and full of soul. Standout Songs: Just A Little Lovin’ Son Of A Preacher Man Breakfast In Bed Just One Smile I Can’t Make It Alone
Standout Songs: Across The Great Divide Rag Mama Rag The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down Up On Cripple Creek Jemima Surrender Look Out Cleveland King Harvest (Has Surely Come)
One of the few Bowie albums that isn't completely abstract and garbage. The songs themselves are a little too long individually though. I dod think there was some really good guitar work throughout. Standout Songs: Station to Station TVC15 Stay
My big problem with this album is that most of the songs start out fine, but then it just turns into incomprehensible noise. It makes it so unenjoyable.
Not terrible by any means, just way too soft and mellow for my taste, as is with most trip hop stuff, they lean too much into the lo-fi side of things
Dark and heavy in all the right ways, felt the spoken word aspect of it fits really well with the style of music. Its a good combination of singing and spoken word.
Beautiful and full of soul, this album was really solid. It was an hour and a half but I didn't find myself getting bored of it like I do with most long albums. He switches up the sound enough to keep it fresh.
An awful, messy composition of jazz that gave me an actual headache. Easily one of the worst album I’ve gotten on here.
This is legitimately one of the worst albums I’ve ever listened to. For most of the album, the “a cappella” just sounds like industrial noise. The singing is awful and the stupid lyrics make it even worse. It didn’t help that parts of the album weren’t even in English (It’s Icelandic apparently, based on the other reviews here). It actually made me laugh because this album was so bad. Felt myself cringing most of the time it was playing.
Yet another dark and gloomy synth pop album, doesn’t do it for me. Just puts me in a depressing mood.
Really funky old school hip hop, that has a lot of familiar beats. One of the few exceptions to me not liking hip hop.
I have a great idea for an album, let’s make every song repeat the same line over and over again. Yeah, I know this type of music is more meant for the beat than the lyrics, but its hard to ignore how annoyingly repetitive it is.
One of the better jazz albums I’ve gotten but still not really for me. Feels like waiting music.
45 minutes of boring, generic country music. Her voice is nice but every song sounds virtually the same, and some of the lyrics are just bad.
Singer can’t sing for shit, the lyrics are really stupid, and the instrumentals are AWFUL. None of the instruments are in time with each other and also doesn’t line up with the vocals. Like some of the other reviews say, it just sounds like they’re randomly banging on their instruments to make sound. Just bad.
