Started off thinking it was shit, but it was a grower not a shower, and after a while I started to enjoy it somewhat. Not enough to rank it alongside my other 3 stars. But I will listen to more of them, and perhaps it will continue to grow. Definitely not one for the gym. Probably not the best whilst driving. Potentially alright in the bath, if you've munched down a handful of mushrooms beforehand.

Thought I might enjoy this at the start, but it got more and more boring. Album length way too long, far too many tracks. Nothing particularly interesting, apart from the random Body Count song, which isn't much better and seems completely out of place. Best part was the Black Sabbath sample, and the amusing intro thing for track 2.
Awesome stuff. Need to listen to them more. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Top album.
Fuck me thank god it's over.

Music is alright, but track lengths are way too long. Started to drag on, especially the final track.
Solid album with a classic FIFA tune on there.
Good album will listen again.
Actually enjoyed this more than the Hunky Dory album, despite not knowing any of the songs. Not enough for it to get more than 3 stars though.
Really enjoyed this, will listen to more Elliott Smith.
There's a few good songs on here. Changes is the perfect soundtrack to sexy Shrek and Donkey, whilst Life on Mars? is decent. A few others I hadn't heard before were alright. But not really a fan overall, so I can't go above 3 stars for this.
Enjoyed the vibes of this. Punchbag was a good tune. Will check them out more.
Not horrific like the other Public Image Ltd album we've had. But still not good.
Not terrible but pretty boring.
Really enjoyed the opening track, thought it could be a high scorer. Rest of the album was just OK.
Assumed this would be horrific from the album title. It wasn't as bad as I expected. But found it quite boring, and really dragged on. I'll give it 2 stars for not being terrible, and for some great song names that sound like something we'd come up with.
Not his best album. Might be rating it harshly, but loved the acoustic vibes on Either/Or, and this isn't the same. Reminds me of the Beatles at times, which shouldn't be a bad thing, but it's less to my taste. Will listen to his other albums. I'm sure I'll listen to this one again, but will more likely stick to Either/Or.
Solid rock album. Haven't really listened to Deep Purple before, other than Smoke on the Water. Will have to put them on more often.
Solid album with some recognisable tunes.
Really liked this. Never heard of her before, will listen to more.
Cheesy album photo and music. Not my kind of thing. But can't deny it's quite good.
Might be feeling generous, but thought this whole album was awesome.
Parts of the album I really liked, other parts not so much. Probably won't listen to them again.
Was nice to listen to in the background whilst running. Can also imagine it'd be good for falling asleep to.
Good album will listen to more.
Going back to this album that I missed. Actually really enjoyed it. Think this kind of music is growing on me. Going to download it to put on as background music in the car.
Only knew a few Alice Cooper songs before this album and didn't really know what to expect. Was a solid mid-table album with a few good tunes. Would like to hear more of his stuff.
Really good, if all 'indie rock' was like this I'd listen to it much more. Will check out more from this band.
I do enjoy some Frank Sinatra, even if a lot of it does sound similar. Also gives me Fallout New Vegas vibes.
Not for me. Shout out to another Shrek song though.
Marginally preferred the German album to the English one, bit more expressive. Either way, it's a mid table album for me.
Sat down on the plane and started listening this album. The first half was not a good soundtrack to a turbulent take off, with Mother really exacerbating the anxiety. Then all of a sudden I was soaring through the clouds to Every Breath You Take. I hadn't read the tracklist, so this was a lovely surprise. Enjoyed King of Pain just as much, and the rest of the album was lovely.
Really expected to hate this album, having listened to quite a few synth-pop and new wave albums already. Also listened to Cars on repeat about 1000000 times back in Music Tech at school, so am pretty done with that track. However, I actually quite enjoyed this album. Maybe my ears are getting used to the genre. Fair play Gary got some use out of that 'Cars' riff, it must feature in some slightly altered format across half of the album. Decent listen though.
Good vibes but too many rattling noises. Respect the various instruments used. Something I would expect to hear on a cruise. He has got better songs on other albums.
Good shit, will listen to again.
Enjoyed it but not a big Sepultura fan.
Gave it a few listens, got better each time. Love that grizzly French voice.
Loved it. The only Eagles song I really knew before was Hotel California. Will listen to them more.
Never heard of him before, big fan of this. Will check out more Q-Tip. Gives me Dough and Oil background music vibes.
Feel harsh, but I over-scored some of my earlier 2s. Tracks are too long, started track 1 on my way to work and was still going on the way home. Reckon I might enjoy it more if I was off my face in La Bicicleteria in Sevilla, drinking their homemade orange wine. I just don't really 'get' Jazz music. It's not you John Coltrane, it's me.
Will listen to more Rush.
Kids is an absolute FIFA classic. Electric Feel is decent, would stick that on a playlist. The little tune at the start of Time to Pretend gets you going. But these are just a few nuggets of gold amongst what is otherwise a pile of shit.
Enjoy the Silence is an alright tune, which is apt considering I'd find more enjoyment in 47-minutes of silence than listening to this album again.
Not keen on this one .
Sunny Afternoon is a good tune, but it's a miracle I got that far into the album to hear it. It's the 2nd night running I've almost fallen asleep at the wheel, listening to these albums whilst driving home. Another quick listen before bed and maybe I just wasn't in the mood. Not a driving album, but it's not bad. 3 stars - I doubt I'll revisit it again.
Endured this one better than the last Depeche Mode album.
Music for making love to. Will get this on in Spain. Might have got 5 stars had I listened to it whilst balls deep.
Horrific
Solid mid table album.
Surprisingly better than I expected it to be.
Awesome vibes.
It's alright but probably won't go back to it.
Great songs.
Another great album. 2 days in a row we've had some classic Guitar Hero tunes, so much nostalgia. What a tune Today is.
Got better on the 2nd listen.
Very good.
Found this a bit boring, but its not bad.
This was pretty shit. Some songs are far too long - Maybe Your Baby drags on. Not even 'Superstition' or 'You Are The Sunshine Of My Life' can save it from 1 star. I'm not actually sure whether I even like these songs. Raquel was not happy with me playing this in the morning. She preferred the noise of the neighbours building their new bathroom. "So much peace now" - Raquel, after the album finished.
Was very pleasant to listen to during a sunny run in Spain.
Surprised that I actually enjoyed this, could see myself listening to more. Giving it an extra star, for being not only a bearable jazz album, but an enjoyable one.
The album was alright, nothing special. Imagine is obviously a big tune. Good album length, wouldn't want any more. Probably won't listen again.
Gave me Christmas movie vibes. And Disney movie vibes.
Enjoyable album. Not sure about the 10-minute track. Some of the guitar reminds me of Jimi Hendrix. Will have to listen to more of them in the future.
Enjoyed some of the songs. Good background music. Destroy Rock & Roll was very annoying.
Fuck me thank god it's over.
Not bad
Wrote this review after listening whilst getting ready in the morning: Clint Eastwood might be one of the best individul songs so far. But that doesn't save the rest of the album, which could well be a collaboration between John Lydon and The Residents. Gave it another listen in the evening, this time whilst as a passenger in the car: It was like listening to a different album, much better than I first thought. Context definitely isn't for losers when judging these. It did start to drag on though. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
At first it sounded like something I'd like. But I didn't. Just noise. The best thing about the album was that the final 6 songs were all under 2-minutes. ⭐️
My favourite Beatles album so far. Every song under 3-minutes, and a total length of 30-minutes is perfect. Would change my Abbey Road score to 4, and Rubber Soul to 3. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
First half of the album felt like a James Bond movie. Then it got weird, with some dreamy sounds and circus vibes. It finished by going back to the movie soundtrack style, this time perhaps for some kind of mafia film. This isn't really something I'd listen to, but actually quite enjoyed the album. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
After Duck Stab, I knew exactly what to expect when reading the opening song title, "The American Metaphysical Circus". In the end, it wasn't too bad. But nothing particularly enjoyable about it either. ⭐️⭐️
Very enjoyable. Will listen to more T.Rex. Didn't know any of their songs before, although I recognise a few now that I'm playing them. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Was very excited when I woke up and saw the album for today. Think this was actually my first time listening to the whole album through. The singles are absolute tunes, and the other songs are great as well. Definitely my favourite album of this review series so far. Head and shoulders above the rest. If I could award 6 stars, I would. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Not terrible, but completely boring and forgettable. A waste of one hour. ⭐️⭐️
Very nice album. Could imagine giving this an even higher rating if I listened more and got to know the tracks.
Started off enjoying the album, but it became quite repetitive.
It's alright. Enjoyable but won't listen again.
Was excited by this as I've often wanted to check out more music by Bruce Springsteen. Really wanted to give 4 stars, but it dragged on a bit too long to justify it. Was good but nothing special. Hopefully we'll get some more from him.
Awesome stuff. Need to listen to them more. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Some lovely Irish sounds, along with some rogue Spanish ones.
Awesome vibes, can't wait for a summer road trip playing this.
Enjoyed parts of the album, but it didn't stand out for me.
Much better than the other Bowie albums. Not quite going to stretch to 5, but I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it.
Was nice, would listen to them again.
Really enjoyed this, will listen to more. Album maybe went on a bit too long to sit through it all. Perhaps best as some chilled background music whilst driving etc. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Started listening to this album on a dark rainy morning, whilst driving to work. It absolutely added to the depression of the situation. Definitely not something to listen to if you're in search of happiness. However, if you want to mong out to some good music, I definitely recommend it. I will listen to more in the future. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Quality. Easy 5 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Have listened to this album many times before. Might be my favourite so far.
I enjoyed it, but not sure when I'd actually listen to it again. Can imagine it playing as background music in a hipster bar, or by a live band in the corner.
I like how they started with the best song (Band On The Run), then just threw it back in at end in case you forgot. Another Guitar Hero classic. Rest of the album is quite enjoyable, might check out some more.
I absolutely did not need to hear this before I die. They cleverly started with two songs so bad that the rest of the album seemed like a big improvement, and therefore perhaps worthy of more than a single star. But it was all terrible, the opening tracks just impressively reaching another level of shit. It was background music at best, though I'm not sure what for. I could maybe imagine it being played in the background during a Worms game, which is actually quite a compliment, but it should have no place on this list. ⭐️
It's not bad, but it's not the kind of thing I'd ever want to sit down and listen to. It sounds like one giant interlude that you might hear half way through an album of actual songs. Or background music for something more interesting, like a video game. Worms music, two days in a row. ⭐️⭐️
It's alright. Wouldn't want to listen to it again though. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
It was alright, another solid mid table album. Good album length. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Other than their big songs, can't believe I've never properly listened to The Prodigy. This album was quality, and will definitely get played more. Would love to go see them live too. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Mixed album. Some horrific sounds on there. But a few good tunes as well. The Jean Genie is quality, don't think I ever realised that was Bowie. I'm generally just not a big fan. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
It was alright. I did actually get a small amount of enjoyment from this, which is more than I thought I would considering the genre and other similar albums we've had so far. Won't listen to it again though. Cannot imagine how this could be anyone's favourite kind of music. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Barely minutes after finishing the much anticipated 'midnight feast' at a sleepover, a 10-year old Danny has just unearthed an absolute gem of a player on FIFA 05, signing the unknown Luis Fabiano on the cheap. Game after game he would bang in goal after goal, his rating going through the roof in the process. Meanwhile, in the Career Mode menu between games, an equally legendary song would grace the ears of young Danny - Franz Ferdinand's 'Tell Her Tonight'. This was a golden age for FIFA Career Mode. This was a golden age for the FIFA soundtrack. And with a crossed-armed Patrick Viera, poised Fernando Morientes, and skillful Andriy Shevchenko, this was a golden age for FIFA Covers. It wasn't long until young Danny ventured into the rest of Franz Ferdinand's catalogue, procuring himself a bootleg CD-R copy of their self-titled album. Banger after banger would be played continuously on repeat. So much so that 20 years later, an almost 30-year old Danny can still recall the lyrics to every tune. He even considers the band's most successful song, 'Take Me Out', to be in the so-called 'Big-Two' of all-time greatest songs, along with Shakira's 'Hips Don't Lie'.
I liked the sound of it, yet at the same time all of the songs were quite forgettable. I've definitely scored worse albums with a 3, but can't justify a 4 for this.
Another arist I'd like to listen to more. Johnny Cash seems like a cool guy, and this album was pretty good.
Don't think I've ever listened to these before. Really enjoyed it, could see myself getting into them more. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wasn't terrible but not sure it needs to be on this list.
Held off giving this a review straight away as I felt it was a potential 5 star that I didn't expect. Got a bit distracted when my car journey ended, so have just given it a proper listen. Always assumed Muse were shit. Obviously knew Super Massive Black Hole (FIFA tune) and Knights of Cydonia (Guitar Hero III and Chris' animation video), and recognised Starlight but couldn't have told you who it was. These songs are awesome, but the rest of the album is a great listen too. Will be playing this album more in the future, and hoping their other music is just as good.
Never heard of this guy before. Baby, I Love Your Way and Show Me The Way are decent songs that I recognised. The rest of the album sounded like the kind of music I like, but nothing really stood out. There were some good guitar bits in there, I'll listen again at some point to see if I get into it. For now though, it's not quite enough to get 4 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Not my kind of music. Not terrible, but won't be listening to it again. Album way too long as well, absolute chore to get through this. ⭐️⭐️
Sounds like a Year 7 Music Tech project, something that would have been created when we had to add audio to a Wallace and Gromit video clip. Thank god the "film" that this album is the soundtrack to doesn't exist. ⭐️
Another jazz album that was absolutely fine, as background music. Solid three stars, nothing bad about it but not gonna listen to it again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Listening to this casually, it comes across as absolutely awful. When you pay more attention and listen carefully, it's even worse. Anyone giving this more than one star is a nonce.
Good vibes.
Favourite hip hop album so far.
Feel like I'm handing out 5s left right and centre at the moment. Love Black Sabbath, though I've mostly just listened to their Best Of album. The majority of these tracks feature on that album. The ones that didn't weren't quite as good, though that could just be because I'm so familiar with the others. Strong contender for my favourite album so far.
Don't have anything good to say about this.
Pretty good, bit too long and not all the tracks were good enough for 5.
Monging out music. But too boring for me.
Took me a while to finish this album, as I couldn't stop playing American Pie on repeat. Ridiculously long track that somehow isn't long enough. What a tune. Rest of the album was a pleasant listen.
Think I preferred the live album, but still a decent listen. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
An old school porn soundtrack for a Nintendo Wii game.
Quite liked it. Think it needs more listens to score higher though, had kind of forgotten all the songs by this morning. Will try check out more Radiohead.
Through this app I have discovered that Post-Punk is my least favourite genre.
Alright background music. Weird mix of songs. Completely forgettable.
There were times during this album that I was considering 4 stars, and other times, I was considering 2 stars. All the way through I was thinking this could be a great song, if the vocals were different. It's better than other albums we've had in this genre.
Good vibes on a sunny day.
Exactly the same review as Chris.
Decent.
The opening track is a GTA and Guitar Hero classic tune. Rest of the album is enjoyable, but not quite good enough for four stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Was looking forward to checking this one out, and it was great.
Decent album, with a few bangers. Listening to this album made me want to grow out my beard, move to the USA, buy a motorcycle, ride it to a biker bar, and start a brawl, probably getting thrown over a pool table in the process.
Only song I knew already was Almost Cut My Hair. Rest of the album was really good, could listen to it more. Would need more listens for the top score. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I don't mind this kind of music, and after listening to one song on the album I was thinking it'd be a solid three stars. But the songs all sounded pretty much the same. Actually had to listen to something else halfway through, as it had gotten too boring. Might as well just listen to one song and you've heard the entire album. For this reason it gets two stars.
Actually giving four stars to a post punk album. Was an interesting mix of genres, enjoyed the heavier parts to the album.
Did consider 4 stars as there are some better albums on here, but it's just about good enough. Decent album.
Absolutely loved this. Have already listened to the album a few times through. Also loved the related music Spotify played after it finished. 5 stars all round.
Pretty good, more listens needed for it to be a 5. Would listen again.
Quality album. My attention was a little divided listening to it and it's still a solid 5. Guitar Hero classic again with Free Bird. Also didn't know it was pronounced that way, so educational as well.
Started off loving the vibes but got bored by the end of the album. Luckily for Fela Kuti, Rozza pointed out that the original album release was just the first two tracks, not the two live tracks. Therefore I'll rate it off these. He's also a mad geezer who deserves some stars for that.
Was alright.
Like a soundtrack to a bad dream. Not pleasant at all, and nearly 2 hours of it!
Pleasant music nothing special not bad. Glad it was a fairly short album.
First listened to this whilst on a very windy hike. It didn't fit the vibe, but thought I heard bits I'd quite like. Decided to give it another listen at home, in case it deserved a 4. As each song passed on the second listen, it got worse and worse, until it couldn't get any worse.
Very pleasant music. Solid 4 stars.
Standard restaurant music.
Solid album with some good tunes. Layla in particular a classic. Don't think it's quite enough for 5 though.
Was alright but not my kind of music.
They definitely are sad lads. Can imagine being well into this if depressed. Not really my kinda thing but it did have some interesting vibes, might see if I can get into them more in the future.
Haven't listened to anywhere near enough Foo Fighters songs. The ones I do know are awesome, just never got round to checking out more. Didn't know anything on this album, and it sounds very different to the classics I know. Loved the album though. Had no idea Foo Fighters started off as just Dave Grohl. Just another reason why he's one of coolest guys around. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Not for me.
Quite liked it but not enough for a 4.
Was decent. Solid 4 stars. Probably need to be more familiar with it to reach any higher.
Was alright. Time Out an decent recognisable tune.
Was good background music whilst studying. Didn't notice the album ending and carried on listening to a random selection of similar music. All good stuff in the background.
Fine in the background.
Lots of decent tunes on this album. I've never really been able to fully love The Who though, can't be a 5 star.
Every song on this album is a solid 5 stars. Perfect album. Gonna be a strong contender for my #1 on this list.
Found this pretty boring, despite Mrs Robinson being a tune. ⭐️⭐️
Quite liked this, gave it a few listens.
This was very pleasant listening. But not something I'd probably ever choose to listen to, so just three stars from me.
Quality album.
Wagwan fam, can't lie man was loving the first half of this album fam, but some of the talking parts were proper cringe blud you get me? Man took a star off for it fam, but then Shutdown and That's Not Me came on and man couldn't not give 5 stars fam, see what I'm saying fam? Big man ting.
Top background music. Will play more from these.
It was alright, wouldn't choose to listen again though.
Very average. Love the artist name though.
Enjoyed this.
It was alright but sounded like a lot of the average music on here. Was a bit bored listening to it.
After 2 listens, I'm going for a generous 4. Probably more of a 3.5. Favourite song was Re-Ignition
Quite a bit on this album that I liked, a potential 4 stars. But some other parts that were very boring and it dragged on, so loses a star.
Good vibes enjoyed this album.
Absolutely agree with Rozza's review, it was fine, no more words needed.
Was like I had a musical on the TV in the background, only the movie didn't exist. And the music alone wasn't that good. Probably a good reason why this album never found its audience.
She's a decent singer and there's a few big tunes, but it's not really my kind of music. Can't give more than 3 stars for something I'll never choose to listen to again.
A generous 4 stars. A couple of quality tunes but the rest became background music. Background music that I'll happily put on again though.
Wasnt terrible but I found this boring, an album I just had to endure.
Really liked this. Never listened to Peter Gabriel before and had no idea what to expect. Very pleasantly surprised and will listen to more. The kind of album that with more listens could potentially become a 5.
A jazz album I really liked! Really nice vocals, chilled music that I would definitely listen to again.
Potential for the worst album on this list? Having seen other reviews, I went in hoping I'd find some enjoyment in it to give a higher mark. I'd heard a little Kid Rock before, so wasn't expecting anything great. But this surpassed my expectations. Impressively cringe. When the autotune kicked in on Only God Knows Why I had to laugh. Did not expect the Eminem appearance.
Alright background music, nice vibe.
It's alright, solid 3. Shout out to another Guitar Hero track, Holiday in Cambodia.
Never really got super into Metallica, although I do like their sound generally. Feel like they've taken the piss twice now though. First at Download 2023, by headlining TWO nights. And now on this app, with a TWO HOUR album. On both occasions there was a good selection of quality songs that I know, massively spaced out by alright songs that mostly sound the same. At least on this occasion I could listen from the comfort of my own home. And to be fair there were a couple of songs on this album I enjoyed that I didn't know before. Just cut it down a bit lads!
Enjoyed the vibes of this. Not amazing but it scrapes a 4.
Boring. Glad it was only 35 mins.
Was nice to listen to, but not my usual kind of music. Doubt I'll stick this album on again.
Enjoyed this vibe, will defo listen to more. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Absolute shit.
Expected this to rate higher given I know a fair few Eminem songs and used to listen to his greatest hits album back in the day. The couple of songs that made that album were good, the rest were just fine.
Absolutely loved this, especially the 1st half, just pure great tunes. Some decent ones on the 2nd half as well, but not as much as the 1st half. Not a fan of an album being this ridiculous length, should be 2 albums really. But still, loved it and will listen to it again.
What a load of shit that was, thank God it's over.
Just glad this was a short album.
Where Is My Mind? Is a great tune. Shame the rest of the album is pretty average.
Really enjoyed this, nice chilled album. Not enough for 5 stars but still really good and worth another listen.
It was alright. Nice vibe in the background. All sounded quite the same though, and I didn't notice when the album finished and related music started playing. I did enjoy one of the related songs, from a different album by Steely Dan, so maybe there is better stuff out there from them.
Didn't enjoy this, was glad when it ended.
It was alright, nice chilled background music but nothing special.
Boring, not to my taste at all.
It's in no way bad, there are far worse albums on this list. But there's also absolutely nothing that stands out as being good or interesting. Are people actually fans of this and get excited by it?
Ok this was awesome. Could be the album that gets me into Metallica finally. Guitar is great on every track. Album maybe a little long but not gonna mark it down for that.
Enjoyed it but wasn't too focused on it either. This kind of music is more enjoyable as a live experience.
Good vibes but nothing special.
Have never listened to these before, will do in the future. Really good album. Was considering the 5 stars, but the last song was an absolute racket and dragged on forever. Perhaps with a few more listens the album could be considered a 5.
Wish You Were Here is a great tune. Rest of the album was pretty good.
Boring but not terrible. Beautiful Day is a top tier tune, had that on every CD mix I made back in the day. Nothing else to give this album a higher rating though.
This album might be the most solid mid table 3 stars I've heard so far.
Was nice background / study music.
Didn't expect to enjoy this, but it was awesome. All I knew about Alanis Morissette before was Ironic and the irritating lyrics (but an absolute tune). The whole album was decent though and really like her voice.
Started off thinking this isn't too bad for a 'post punk' album, a potential 2 stars. But couldn't wait for it to finish by the end and to listen to some good music. Always used to think I was open to liking all music genres, but this app has really taught me how shit post punk is.
Not my kinda music but it was fine. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Was alright but not a big fan really. Born in the USA is obviously very well known but I'm not actually that into it. Dancing in the Dark was the only tune I can say I like a lot. Maybe with more listens the album could become a 4, but gave this 2 listens and unfortunately a solid 3 for me.
Good vibes. Some of the songs / riffs sound very similar. But still enjoyable on a sunny day. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Good shit would listen to more.
"Run El Grande Run". Enjoyed the vibes, gave it a quick 2nd listen and decided it's probably not something I'd listen to again though.
Not sure an album could be much more unlistenable than this. At times the songs would give a hint of being something decent, but then just turn into absolute shit. Paper Planes is OK, the only coherent track on an album of random sounds.
I've never really thought about whether or not the Beastie Boys are any good, have always just considered them a bit of a 'joke' band. Don't think that's actually their intention, although I guess it's meant to be fun music not taking itself too seriously. Objectively the music isn't very good, although it has a fun vibe, so I was unsure how to rate this. Marking it down based on how repetitive a lot of these songs are. No Sleep Till Brooklyn was the standout track, and another classic Guitar Hero tune.
When I read they are a post-hardcore band, thought this could be an album I'd really like. But I really didn't. The best part was when it ended, and Spotify played a bunch of related tracks by other bands that were absolute bangers.
Enjoyed it but not enough for a higher rating.
Another Nick Cave album that didn't interest me at all. Far too long. I did have a nice nap whilst listening to it though.
Wasn't really something I'd listen to again, but had some good bits. Mid table.
Enjoyed the vibes of this one. I think more than the last album we had by Dire Straits.
Enjoyed Smooth Operator, rest of the album was fine but not my thing.
Incredible vibes, will keep listening to these as I already have been.
Boring and not particularly pleasant to listen to. Glad it finished.
Couple of decent songs, an alright album as a whole but not my kind of music.
It was fine, a lot of the songs quite similar and I didn't find it as entertaining as the last prison album we had from him. Maybe the novelty of it being in a prison had less of an effect here.
Enjoyed the first song, rest of the album was very boring.
Surprisingly haven't listened to much of the offspring before other than their few well known songs. Enjoyed this album, gave me vibes of a skateboarding ps1 game.
There were some interesting sounds that made me want to check out some other John Grant songs. Maybe it could grow on me. But otherwise, it's a solid 3 star album.
Was expecting to dislike this after their other album, but it was actually alright. An interesting mix of songs. Feeling generous with the rating.
It was alright.
Actually really enjoyed this. Nice chilled vibes. Maybe I was just in the right mindset at the time, but much better than any other jazz we've had.
Didn't hate it, didn't love it.
Never heard of Al Green and it's not usually my kind of music, but this was very chilled, a good vibe. The first track was particularly good. Would listen to again.
Taylor Swift is awesome.
There were a few songs I liked, but it wasn't as good as the other PJ Harvey album we've had.
It was alright, some parts I really liked and thought it had potential, but overall it didn't interest me that much.
Well that was horrific, potentially the worst album we've had?
Good stuff, not very cheery but a decent album, would listen to again if in the right mood. Recognised Street Spirit (Fade Out) from somewhere, turns out it was from a cover by the Darkness, shout out to that tune.
Heroes is a good tune. The rest of the album was fine.
I thought this was very good. Enjoyed the album and listening to other related music after it ended, will definitely listen to more.
Good vibes. Was worried as we've had some awful Brazilian music, but this was enjoyable.
It was alright, solid 3.
Very boring. Sweet Love was supposedly the best song on the album, and even that was underwhelming.
Solid album. Listened a while ago and forgot to rate it. Good songs and nice and short, no need to drag this kind of music out.
I found this boring and just not very good.
It was alright, solid 3 stars. Nothing on this album was as good as any of their big well known songs.
Wasn't expecting this. Very weird, and I loved it. Will be listening to more Björk.
Good vibes.
Reckon I'd enjoy this kind of music after quite a few pints of cider. Can imagine it being played live in a pub on carnival day or at a food festival. But really, it's not that good. I did enjoy the dub elements though, like Stereotype / Stereotype, Pt. 2.
Didn't really enjoy this one.
Good stuff, especially Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love and Eruption.
I liked this, very moody but a cool album.
Not my thing, wasn't terrible but didn't enjoy it at all really.
Enjoyable album but nothing standout.
Top notch elevator music.
There were bits I quite enjoyed. Maybe on a different day it could score higher.
Solid 3. Enjoyable but nothing amazing.
Classic Elvis vibes. I do enjoy having it on, but nothing stands out as being great.
Not for me.
Enjoy the vibes, considered a four but there were a few points in the album I wasn't enjoying as much. Would probably listen again though.
Good stuff but a bit too long.
Good music for monging out. Yellow and Trouble were stand out songs.
No problem listening to it, but not my kind of music and will instantly be forgotten.
This album bored me.
A few very recognisable tunes which I enjoyed. Wouldn't listen to the album again though, feel like it's just made to be soundtracks in movies or games.
Haven't listened to a lot of Meat Loaf before. Bat Out of He'll is a great song. Also really like You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth. Rest of the album didn't stand out as much, but still enjoyed it. A generous 4.
Starts off with a huge FIFA tune, then bored me for the rest of the album. Haven't really listened to Kings of Leon much before, and this was exactly what I expected.
Album started strong, really enjoyed the first few songs. But then started to get bored. Big finish with Fools Gold, one of the best FIFA tunes ever. But overall was keen for the album to finish, an hour was too much for me.
Pleasant to have on, nothing stood out to me though. Maybe on another day I'd appreciate it more, but felt like a solid 3.
Enjoyed this. Will listen to more.
Bloody mad album.
Boring. Doesn't belong on this list at all.
Started off enjoying it, liked the vibe generally but nothing stood out.
Alright to play in the background.
Top album.
Mixed album, a few decent tunes, a few not so good ones.
Enjoyed this on in the background.
Enjoyed this. But not a high scorer that I'll be coming back to in a hurry.
Was expecting worse given the genre. Not terrible, but not good either.
Strong first three. The rest weren't too bad. Surprised I enjoyed this album.
Enjoyed this will listen to more.
Not awful, but wouldn't listen again.
Some great tunes here.
A few songs I'd not heard before on here, and probably won't listen to them ones again. The ones I had heard before are quality though. Will absolutely keep listening to Slipknot, just maybe not this entire album.
Was buzzing to hear the Vikings theme song. Rest of the album was fine but nothing exciting.
Weird album. More like a movie soundtrack. Didn't enjoy.
Good stuff.
Really enjoyed this, although it lasted a bit too long.
It was alright on whilst playing FIFA.
Just incredibly boring.
Great album. Refreshing to hear a different genre to the usual stuff. Thought Bob did a decent cover of the classic Top Bananas track, "Three Little Birds".
Weird album, found it interesting but lost interest in the music towards the end. That said, I did spend the entire hour going down a rabbit hole of reading about Laibach, and still not sure if I understand what they're about. Will probably listen to more out of curiosity.
Boring, don't understand why this guy features so frequently here. An album or two, fine, but I definitely don’t need to listen to his entire discography before I die.
Incredibly boring. Nothing good to say about it.
Absolutely loved this. Best album I've had in a while, stands out over some of my other recent 5s. Great to discover something new that I'll definitely keep listening to.
A great album to help you fall asleep, and that isn't a criticism. I listened to it last night and it did a great job. Would also play this again whilst studying, or if doing some kind of yoga/meditation. I've used the term 'background music' to criticise quite a few albums on this list, but this one is intentional and I definitely appreciate it. Also had a good laugh imagining El Grande absolutely raging whilst listening to what should be a peaceful and relaxing album.
We've had a few R.E.M. albums now and I'm starting to enjoy them. Will listen to more.
Just found it boring.
Enjoyed this. Never heard of them before, will listen again.
Decent album.
Bang average. 3 stars.
Actually enjoyed this more than any of the Beatles albums. That said, I've over-rated a few Beatles albums, and this is still a 4 for me.
Not a fan of this kind of music at all. Also, why did one of the final bonus tracks go from gothic to reggae?
Really like these guys, just good vibes, chilled music with good riffs. Was thinking a solid four, until La Grange came on which is a great tune.
Rolling in the Deep, Set Fire to the Rain, and Someone Like You = 3 big tunes. Potentially 5 stars. The rest of the album is pretty poor, more like 2 stars. Overall it's getting a 3.
This was actually awful. Why on earth is it regarded as one of the 1001 albums I must hear before I die? Is it because it's so notably bad it must be heard to demonstrate how bad music can be? Nothing personal against Syd, I reckon if I were to record an album it would be similar to this. Just as horrific. To make matters worse, I'm pretty sure I listened to this album a while ago and forgot to leave a review, so have had to endure it for a second time.
What a pleasant album.
Really boring, was relieved when it ended.
I want to enjoy thrash music like this more, but it really does all sound the same.
Quite liked it, but probably not enough to listen to it again.
Nice funky vibes, but not really that interesting to listen to.
Far too long, I was relieved when it ended. There may well have been moments in the album where I was enjoying the music, however they have been lost amongst an endless stream of forgettable noise.
Nothing that interesting here. Finally track on the album was a pain to get through.
Pleasant background music.
Solid 3 album throughout. High 5 was a strange one that stood out, seemed very different to the rest of the album.
Have heard of this band but didn't know this is what they'd sound like. It was alright, but probably won't listen again.
Gave this a second listen as I don't think a busy airport was the right setting for it first time round. Have listened to a different album before by him and loved it. This one was decent, not a 5 but still enjoyable.
Enjoyed this album, even though there were a few songs I wasn't massively keen on. Overall would listen to more.
I've noticed a theme throughout my album rating, that often I don't like music that features piano. No idea why, I don't consciously have anything against the instrument, but my ratings just seem to have that correlation. I decided to mention that here, because this album features lots of piano, and I really liked it. Tiny Dancer is an incredible tune. I already knew I liked it, but just realised I haven't quite appreciated it enough before. After listening to Indian Sunset, I of course now have to listen to Ghetto Gospel.
It was fine but forgettable.
Wow, slog really is the word for getting through this album. How is it under an hour? Seemed to go on forever.
Funnily enough, I've been procrastinating from listening to the albums on this list recently by listening to Linkin Park loads. Lots of nostalgia with the classics, but I'm also starting to love some of their less famous songs now. Have also been loving their live videos, incredible stuff, and feel like I didn't fully appreciate them when I saw them live. This album is a classic and just amazing.
Jesus this was far too long. I didn't mind the music itself, but I've got to mark this down on album length. Favourite song was Lonesome Fiddle Blues.
Was very excited to see there was another My Bloody Valentine album on here, having just finished their Isn't Anything album. Although I rated that album 4 stars, I found myself looking into Shoegaze which I wasn't familiar with and listening to other related artists. I probably preferred their other album but still enjoyed this. Therefore I will also only give this 4 stars, but it's worth noting I'm now listening to lots of similar music.
Quite enjoyed this, good vibes. Knew a few of the songs already. Porcelain was probably my favourite, but a shout out to Bodyrock from FIFA.
At best this album was boring and just about listenable. A few songs were awful, and really not a fan of the vocals.
Listening to the first song on the album, I dared to believe that this could be an art rock album that I'd actually enjoy. Then came the second song, which sounded like some kind of traumatic mushroom experience. Maybe that's what he was going for, but it wasn't enjoyable at all. The rest of the album did improve to be fair, with some interesting and enjoyable songs, and some others that were fine.
Enjoyed this, would listen to more.
Couple of decent songs and a lot of alright songs that went on for far too long.
An Oasis album without the bangers. It was fine.
Was glad when this one ended. Quiet Life was an alright song, the rest of the album very boring and not my kind of music at all.
Great songs, great album, great band. Easy 5 stars.
Pleasant listen in the background.
Really liked the first song, rest of the album was fine background music whilst cooking.
Didn't think I'd like this. It was different to what I usually listen to, but I did actually enjoy it. Went on a bit too long, but still going to be generous and give a 4.
Incredible easy 5.
Very boring, absolutely no place on this list.
Love Thin Lizzy. This album had loads of great songs. Don't mind it being live, made me feel like I was there watching them.
At best it was just OK. Otherwise it was boring and dragged on too long.
Mad music. It wasn't the worst but can't see myself listening again.
It was alright, not bad not great. Paint it Black is a great song to start the album off. Worth noting however, that I listened to the US version of the album that includes Paint it Black and is a shorter album length than the UK release.
This was not enjoyable.
I feel like if I had listened to this whilst at home, it would be a solid 3. However, on a nice slow sunny run, it really fit the vibe and I enjoyed it.
Really enjoyed the last album we had from Brian Eno, but this one was less relaxing and more annoying noise.
Solid album, a few stand out tunes in Juicy and Big Poppa. As usual not a fan of the interludes, and in this case had to turn my speakers down. Would listen to more.
Standard Beatles music, was quite enjoyable tbf whilst cooking up some dinner.
Shout and Everybody Wants To Rule The World just about drag this up to a 3. The rest is a solid 2.
Raining Blood is a classic but the rest of the album does sound all the same tbf. I like the sound but it's not something I'd really be interested in enough to play normally.
The best thing I can say is that it could be worse. Would probably rate higher if they actually had a singer, rather than some guy talking.
It was fine, solid 3.
I didn't dislike it. Some parts I quite liked and overall wanted to enjoy it more, but it was just a bit boring. Maybe OK as background music.
Well this was atrocious. Very relieved when it ended, although I did get a bit excited in the final song when I heard the PS2 noises that Chris pointed out.
Solid rock music would listen again.
Good vibes, would listen to again.
Was looking forward to this one. Haven't listened to Judas Priest before really, but keep seeing them headlining rock festivals in Spain. They seem to be really popular here. I enjoyed the album, nothing massively stood out but it was a solid album and I'll check out more Judas Priest.
Enjoyed this more than I expected to. Probably not something I'd choose to listen to but decent nonetheless. Good monging out tunes. Why does it always rain on me is quality.
These guys have got some great songs and a good vibe. I need to listen to more.
Was expecting something terrible when I saw Barry Adamson's involvement. But this was actually alright. Not great, probably won't listen again, but still a solid 3.
I often like this kind of music but this wasn't so interesting, and was too long.
A couple of really good tunes, and a lot of songs that are fine but solid 3s. Album length way too long.
It was alright
Good monging out music. But generally it's just OK.
I really enjoyed this.
This was alright but it was bloody long. For that reason gonna go for a 3.
California Dreamin' is brilliant. The rest was OK, and a lot of covers I believe.
Really wanted to like this album more, and Fix Up, Look Sharp is a good tune, but the rest of the album was just OK. When other Dizzee Rascal songs came on after the album finished, it really highlighted that he has better tunes out there.
I enjoyed Skies over Cairo, and Hail Bop was a nice FIFA tune. The rest was fine.
Pleasant vibes.
Obviously I was familiar with with Let's Get It On, a classic shagging song and great for initiating sex. But I didn't realise just how horny Marvin was, and dedicated to providing a soundtrack to the full sexual experience. Keep Gettin' It On really encourages the listener to maintain their session in the bedroom, and showcases Marvin's passion for the subject.
Not necessarily bad, but incredibly boring and was relieved it finished.
The Passenger is a tune. Didn't know it was by Iggy Pop so that was a nice surprise. Rest of the album was quite good, but not quite enough for a 4.
Had to tackle this over 2 sessions. Obviously it's far too long, not really a single album either. However, I did find the music pleasant and enjoyable background music. Would potentially listen again if I felt like I wanted that vibe. Going to give a generous 4 stars, despite the length.
Had to give this a second listen, as it was interesting enough that I thought maybe I should try it it in a different context. It worked really well as background music whilst doing some studying. I particularly enjoyed Morgenspaziergang, I thought the sound perfectly captured the song title and I would definitely listen to this on my next morgenspaziergang.
Decided that I really don't like this kind of music.
Good stuff, these guys have some top albums.
Solid tunes, the instrumental was lovely.
Enjoyed it at the start, but quickly became bored.
I thought it was OK but wouldn't listen again. A few of their other songs came on once the album finished which I thought were better.
Pleasant album, nice and short, probably wouldn't listen again.
I'm unlikely to ever score this kind of music highly as it's not to my taste, although 3 stars can be seen as a positive score for this album. I thought it was alright/listenable. Haircut 100 have nothing on Electric Haircut though.
Some pleasant little tunes, not gonna listen again though.
Might be harsh, but i'm getting a bit bored of this kind of music. It's fine but nothing stood out to me or made me want to listen again.
Awesome album, great songs great vibes. Never heard of Portishead before, a nice discovery. The music also accompanied studying nicely.
Enjoyed this, good vibes, worth listening to again.
I enjoyed the chilled vibes of this, yet I felt like it could have been more interesting than it was. Going be generous and give 4 stars.
A band that I've always thought I should listen to more, but have never got really into. Only knew one song on this album. The rest were nice but not very memorable.
It was alright.
This was alright background music whilst cleaning. Not amazing not bad. At some point the album finished, other music started, and I didn't notice.
Excellent album, the really well-known songs are great, the rest of the album is also decent. I should listen to more Blondie.
I was a bit concerned about the album length, having just finished listening to one huge album. But was relieved to see the second disc is a live album, which I did not feel the need to listen to. Although These Boots Are Made For Walkin' was a fun cover. I was also a bit fed up that we've been given yet another thrash album to listen to. For a genre that sounds mostly the same, do we really need that many? However, I actually quite enjoyed this, probably more than the Metallica albums we've had. The music was more fun, with some great guitar work.
Pleasant album but I forgot all the songs immediately. Would give it another chance but for now, a 3.
Pleasant album, might listen to again.
Good vibes overall. No Woman No Cry the only stand out song.
I was thinking this is OK, but it became very repetitive and I was relieved when it ended.
First few songs really good, and lots of nostalgia from listening to this album years ago. But it trails off then, some boring filler songs, with a few that are alright. Going to give it a generous 4.
Decent album.
Solid 3 stars, it was fine.
Enjoyed the vibes. The FIFA Street song definitely gave this album a boost.
Pleasant album, good length so I didn't get bored.
There were a few moments where it wasn't completely terrible, but not enough to save the 1 star.
It was alright, better than I expected. Dragged on a bit too long, but solid mid table score nonetheless.
Really nice album and good length.
Pretty sure I listened to this a while ago and forgot to rate it. After 2 listens, I can confidently say that I am not a fan of The Beach Boys. Wouldn't It Be Nice is alright, and God Only Knows is a good tune. The rest I did not like.
It felt like the kind of album that you could appreciate more with more listens. But after just the one listen, this was a three.
Pretty good, a bit long but I enjoyed it still.
Haven't listened to these before and I really liked it. Would listen to more. Also one of the Simpsons appearances that I can remember from my childhood.
Far too long, and I didn't even listen to the bonus tracks.
Pleasant album, wouldn't mind listening again.
This one was really boring. Could be worse, but I did not enjoy it. I was also sure she was singing 'celery' repeatedly at the end of Stoned Soul Picnic
My favourite of all the weird albums we've had so far.
Nice short one. The music was fine.
It was alright but I didn't get into it enough for a higher score.
Very good.
I also stopped listening after Bongo Rock. Was sick of the album by then so felt no need to continue. Pretty boring. Good band name though.
It was alright but I probably wouldn't bother listening again.
Forgot to rate this immediately after listening yesterday, and I've forgotten most of the album already. Think it was alright. Standard old rock music.
Found this one ok but quite boring. He should stick to the meditation tunes.
Enjoyed the vibes but it was a bit too repetitive and lasted too long to score higher.
It was alright.
Really enjoyed this across two listens. First, whilst drifting in and out of a nap. And then again later that evening, to confirm that I had definitely listened to it all.
It was hard not to award this album 5 stars, given its historical significance as the only album on this list that El G has seen performed live in it's entirety by a cover band. However, despite it's cultural status, it was bang average for me.
Enjoyed this. Maybe a bit repetitive but I'm gonna be generous and give a four.
This rating just kept creeping up as the album went on. Solid finish. Really liked it and would listen to more.
Weird but I enjoyed it.
Just never been able to get into this geezer. It's not bad, but it's not to my taste. It's alright.
First song or so were alright to be fair, enjoyed them more than I expected. Rest of the album was just fine.
I was wondering for a while, where have I heard of Grant Lee Buffalo before? Turns out I was thinking of former professional goalkeeper Lee Grant. I enjoyed the album.
Good stuff. Hadn't heard of this band before. Would listen again.
Pleasant tunes on a sunny day.
Supa Dupa Boring
Really bored me.
Not a fan.
Enjoyed the chilled vibes.
What a slog. The music was alright, a few moments I enjoyed but mostly just fine. Far too long though.
It was OK.
The lyrics may be dodgy, but the riffs are great. The songs may sound the same, but I'd happily keep listening to more.
Faith is a good tune. The rest of the album is fine, not really my thing.
Started off quite liking it. At some point forgot I was listening to it and it disappeared into the background. I guess it was alright overall.
Awesome album. Fun is definitely the word to describe it. More Than a Feeling is a great song, but the rest of the album is also epic. Will definitely listen again.
This was alright but I can't see myself listening to it again.
Listened to this yesterday and forgot to rate it... I have already forgotten the album. I think it was fine, nothing memorable, not bad.
Enjoyable album, nice and short.
Really enjoyed this, need to listen to Incubus more. Drive is a great tune.
Wasn't bad, but not my kind of thing. Was absolutely buzzing to see a sub-30-minute album though.
Nice pleasant album.
Standard review for this genre, good vibes, a top soundtrack for a road trip or something. We had this geezer's dad earlier in the list, I wonder if there are any other father/son combos on here?
That's enough of your music, Nick.
Even though it's not something I'd usually choose to listen to, I have to say it's quite good.
Not an ABBA fan. Didn't know any of these songs already, which might have been a good thing. The album was alright.
Legalise It is a good tune. It does all sound the same, but it's a nice vibe regardless.
I recognised Step It Up and almost gave this a higher rating, but thankfully remembered that just because you've heard a song before, that doesn't mean it's good. And this is pretty shit music.
Been meaning to listen to more of The Mars Volta for a long time, but never got round to it. This was great, will definitely listen to more now.
I didn't dislike it in any way, but nothing really made it stand out either. Was excited by the 15-minute album length, and actually think it is an appropriate duration for this kind of music.
Tricky one because I really like Streets of Your Town. However, the rest of the album is a solid 3 stars, and I can't justify a higher rating. Probably wouldn't listen to this again.
Found this quite boring and was glad when it ended.
This one was a struggle to keep listening to the end. Every song sounded pretty much the same. And whilst 1h 11m is quite long, it felt at least twice that length. I don't even need to delve into the lyrical content to rate this one.
At the start of the album I was thinking this could be a potential 5, really liked the vibe and the mix of genres. As it went on it dropped to a 4, and towards the end almost to a 3 with a track of pure noise. But I'd definitely listen to more from these.
Like their other album, I enjoyed it.
The scream at the start of Heaven's on Fire deserves 1 star. Whilst in many ways the album wasn't great, I still enjoyed it more than a lot on this list.
Really good stuff, really enjoyed it. Can't believe I'm giving 5 stars to a jazz album. Will definitely listen to again.
Enjoyed this album, a few big tunes on there, and those I didn't know were alright as well.
Boring. Not a fan of the vocals. Was glad when it ended.
Nice and relaxed album, enjoyed it.
Loved it. 20-minutes is too long for a song, but it was more like multiple songs grouped into one track. Found the little Asian tune in A Passage to Bangkok amusing.
Maybe a harsh rating, as I generally liked the sound. But it was a bit too long, and nothing was memorable about it.
Decent album. Add Tommy Tonsils to the list of TT's references.
Glad I gave it 2 listens, appreciated it more the 2nd time. Solid 4 stars nice slow sad stuff.
Pleasant enough, but nothing particularly memorable for me. Maybe need to listen to more blues music to really appreciate it.
Decent rock music
I had never chosen to listen to the Pet Shop Boys up until a couple of days ago, after they were announced at a festival in Seville. What a coincidence that they have now popped up on here. After listening to this album, I can safely say that I will not be purchasing tickets.
Good shit.
This would be a perfectly acceptable soundtrack to wolfing down a lamb bhuna and a couple of Cobras in the Shabab. However, a place in the 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die is probably a step too far.
Enjoyed this more than I expected. Not sure when I'd choose to listen to it again, but I'm going to be generous with my rating.
"Sabotage... that classic Beach Boys song" - Richy Higgs. I was very surprised to see another Beastie Boys album on the list, given how poor the last one was. However, this one had a very different vibe, and I actually quite enjoyed it.
Not my usual thing, but I actually really liked it. Have listened about 3 times already.
Some good tunes, found it all fairly enjoyable. Far too long for top marks though, multi-disc albums should be banned from this! Decent album cover as well.
Not for me
Pretty sure I listened to this months ago and forgot to rate it. Which is annoying because it really wasn't a great listen.
The most solid 3 star yet.
Had to listen twice as the first listen sent me to sleep.
I don't hate it but it shouldn't be on this list.
These guys are just great vibes. Massively helped listening outside on a hot sunny day.
"I've never even seen this part of Pussy Town before"
Girl from Mars was very good, I'd listen to that again. A few other alright tunes, and plenty of boring ones.
Nice music
Some albums immediately take you back to a certain time and place. 'American Idiot' by Green Day always reminds me of heading to the cinema for Rozza's birthday. The self-titled album by Razorlight gives me nostalgia for long hours spent grinding away on Runescape. And '25' by Adele vividly triggers memories of April 1970 - a step back in time to the aborted Apollo 13 mission.
Another album that I listened to and forgot to rate. Very good vibes.
Very good album, good vibes.
Used to have this CD in my car - a random charity shop purchase that turned out to be not too bad.
I've never properly listened to Billy Bragg, but might have to start as this was awesome.
"All my pets are serial killers, they make their victims listen to The Killers" - Shakerz and Dakerz lyrics. This album was actually full of tunes and I really enjoyed it. Gonna be generous. Don't tell Seymour.
This was the Nick Drake album I already knew prior to the album list, and it's great.
Impressively managed to make 32 minutes feel like a long album.
Good vibe but once you've heard one song you've heard them all.
Started off enjoying it more than expected, but it dropped off and got quite boring, and too long. Shout out to Tommy Two Tribes.
Quite liked it.
This is awful. Everything sounds the same.
Didn't expect to it enjoy it but I did. Frozen really reminded me of Pure Shores by All Saints, which I also like.
Very nice
Not my usual kind of thing but quite enjoyed it.
Nice pleasant album
A bit long but scrapes a 4.
Solid album could listen to this all day.
It was fine.
What a tune Come On Eileen is. Rest of the album is OK.
Long long boi. It was OK. Nothing in particular that I enjoyed.
Another long boring struggle.
Weird album but I actually liked it.
First song is a tune, and the rest of the album forgettable. Not sure I actually like the first song, it's just very well known.
This was very good shit. Not something I'd usually listen to and really enjoyed it. A great new discovery.
I once saw Jamiroquai at a festival, having never listened to them before. They were awesome, although I was incredibly drunk. That is probably why they were so good, as this album was not so enjoyable.
Fair play she wrote some big tunes.
Great album length and I actually quite enjoyed the music.
Just don't understand why anyone would listen to this.
Not a fan
Good vibes. Might be a generous 4 but I did like it.
There were some parts where I thought it was good, and then others that were just out of tune and sounded horrible.
Enjoyed it, could even become a 5 with more listens.
Not a fan of this kind of rap. Went on too long as well.
I guess it isn't bad but no part of me wants to listen to it again.
Golden Skans is quality, the rest is alright. Was very happy a big chunk of the album length was silence at the end of the final track, followed by some weird noise. No, I did not listen to the full silence.
Couple of good ones, rest is alright.
Nice chilled album.
It's never good when I read 'experimental' in the description. This wasn't too bad though.
Bang average.
It was alright. Not much to say about it. Probably won't listen again.
Bang average
Easy 5
Not great.
Really good, solid FIFA tune.
Enjoyed it especially whilst in the gym.
Listened to this in the gym a few weeks ago and forgot to rate it. Think my feeling was that I'd like to listen to more Aerosmith in the future, haven't given them much of a chance before.
Enjoyed the vibes. Would go hard in King of Spice.
It was alright. Probably not one to listen to again.
I remember as a kid being told I could buy 2 albums from Woolworths or somewhere like that. I chose the Black Sabbath greatest hits, and this album by Slipknot. Got home, loaded it up on Windows Media Player, and can only describe how I felt as being absolutely terrified. Gave it maybe 2 listens to make sure, but I couldn't stand it. Apart from maybe Wait and Bleed. Asked my parents to return it. Which is a shame, because years later I'm actually a fan of Slipknot.
Pure great tunes, one of my favourite bands.
Average.
Enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
Easy 5. Great tunes.
Never got into KISS. This album showed why really. They're pretty shit with a few decent tunes. 5 stars for their makeup and image. But not for the music.
Solid album.
What a band. Probably agree with El G, it's not quite all bangers. But still, gonna give it a 5.
Never did I think years ago that I'd one day consider myself a Taylor Swift fan, but I really do like her music.
Really enjoyed it. Good vibes, different to the other music on here. Cover of Iron Man was really cool.
Feel like the last album we had from him wasn't really my thing. But really loved this. Perfect vibes right now, will actually try to listen again over Christmas.
Didn't blow me away but I enjoyed having it on in the background, would listen again.
Love the vibes. Monkey Gone to Heaven I seem to know really well from somewhere, and can't figure out where. The album probably isn't quite memorable enough for 5.
Drifted in and out of sleep whilst listening to this, but it was very nice.
Good monging out music whilst on the plane.
Great vibes. Gutted I couldn't make it to see em live. Absolute classic guitar hero tune.
Not my kind of music.
Good stuff.
Good vibes whilst on the plane home for Christmas.
Enjoyed it.
Agree with Rozza's review. Under the Bridge is awesome. Give it Away is pretty good. I thought they would drag the album up to a 3... but by the time the album finished, absolutely not. Some really cringey songs on here.
Bored me.
Their other album was better, but this is still a 5.
Didn't mind it on in the background.
Probably didn't need to listen to this to give it 5. Remember hearing it for the first time in Rozza's dad's car, driving to the cinema for his birthday.
Listened to this whilst cleaning the house, and got more pleasure out of the cleaning. Album cover looks like it was made on Microsoft Word.
Very good shit, need to listen to more Neil Young have never really listened to him before.
It wasn't bad but no reason to ever listen to this again.
Decent album, Message in a bottle is the stand out track though.
Nah didn't enjoy it, classic hour of enduring music for the sake of the list.
Quite liked it I think but I've also kinda forgotten it already.
Boring. Kept checking to see how many songs were left. It just went on and on.
Was happy when it finished.
Not sure what I was listening to here.
Boring, not even a good chilled vibe album.
Dunno if it's cos I've not listened to albums for a while but I swear I'm enjoying everything atm... this one was a bit different and I really liked it.
Never really listened to Lenny Kravitz. It's was quite good. Not sure I'd listen again though, or go see him when he plays in Sevilla this summer.
I did really enjoy some of the tracks, but other bits were quite boring and forgettable.
Not bad but not really my thing. Dy-Na-Mi-Tee is not only a FIFA 03 classic, but an all-time top track tbf.
Couple of very well known songs that give a bit of nostalgia, however I'm not sure I've ever actually even been a fan of those songs. The album was fine but very interesting.
Really didn't interest me. Was glad it finished.
Not quite a 5 but still really liked it. In response to Rozza's review... surely any album is a solid 5 when contrasted by watching cricket...
Two Kings of Leon albums in quick succession. No big famous tunes but I think I enjoyed this one more. Still another 3 though.
Really liked it. A nice contrast to the last hip-hop album I listened to and gave a 1. Would definitely like to listen to more.
I instinctively dislike The Smiths but every time I listen to them, it grows on me. In the end, I enjoyed this album and should definitely listen to them more.
