Reviews (page 13 of 15)

One of the most prolific bands of all time, this album was a blast! So many great songs. Not quite a 5/5, but almost.

Klasse Lennon og McCartney i længden 🫤

Beatles sind awesome

Side B is one of my favourite musical journeys on an album. Makes up for mild randomness on the Side A

Two different sounds competing, mirroring the rift within the band that would cement their split by the time the album was released. In my opinion, Abbey Road could have been split in half to make 2 more sonically cohesive collections. Songs like Here comes the Sun, Maxwell's Silver Hammer, Octopus's Garden, and Even Mean Mr. Mustard remind us of the earlier and decidedly more innocent sounds of the British Invasion which launched the Beatles into worldwide superstardom. This contrasts sharply against songs like She Came In Through The Bathroom Window, Come Together, Oh! Darling, and I Want You (She's so heavy), which show an attempt at more gritty, mature rock writing and a yearning for creating music to appeal to a different kind of fan. In conclusion, while I love the Beatles and cannot understate the influence they had on Western Pop culture, compared against my own taste in 2023, Abbey Road is a confused little diamond and that dulls her brilliance. 7/10

Classic, some real bangers on there

Always a great album

It’s hard to listen to the Beatles truly objectively, when you’ve been told your whole life that they are essentially God’s gift to modern music. However, this album is lovely. Funny, sad, uplifting - it has it all. It’s also painfully clear how other artists have taken influence. I kept hearing Foo Fighters on ‘I Want You’.

This is my second album from the Beatles and I wish I could love the them, as much as some other people do here and give it 5 stars, but I just don't see myself listening to the whole album again and rather just a few songs from this. The good stuff is really good though. Some of my favorites where: Something, Oh! Darling, Octopus's Garden and of course Here Comes Sun.

not enough time to listen to album, will listen at later date

*2009 Remaster* I listened to this for the first time a few years ago for the album's 50th anniversary. Still not the biggest Beatles fan, but this album holds up. 4/5

good stuff

I know this is a very influential album but some of the songs are not really as good as the standouts. Golden slumbers, come together, something, and carry that weight being the standouts. Others have cool elements but parts that are just lazy word soup. 1. Come Together - such a cool vibe. Buy lyrics are total nonsense. Walrus gumboot? Ono sideboard? 2. Something - cute ballad, but not a lot there. 3. Maxwell's silver hammer - upbeat song about a serial killer with a hammer. major tone mismatch between lyrics and music. 4. Oh Darling! - insane vocals. Love that this was written when they were contemplating breakup. 5. Octopus's Garden - whimsical, great guitar intro. dreamy backup vocals. 6. I want you - love the guitar and raw vocals. Not much here lyric wise, but such a cool vibe. You can hear the influence on later acts like Jimi Hendrix, the doors. the 2.5 minute guitar outro is awesome. 7. Here Comes the Sun - love it. hard to listen with fresh ears due to how ubiquitous this one is. 8. Because - operatic. love the harpsichord. 9 You never give me your money - love the lyrics about economic hardship. 10. sun king - slow sweet forgettable. weird spanish word soup at the end 11. mean mr mustard - this is totally the sound I associate with this period of beatles music. random song about a mean hobo and his sister - maybe the pam of the next song? 12. polythene pam - forgettable. short. bleeds into next song. 13. She came in through the bathroom window. 14. Golden Slumbers - probably the best song on the album and one of my favorite beatles songs 15. Carry that Weight - 5/5 song 16. The end - would have been great to end on but then 17. Her majesty - forgettable

Finally, it's so good to have an excuse to listen to this album. The artwork is iconic but I have never listened to it in my life. I know a handful of songs but I have already found some new songs which I love such as 'Maxwells silver hammer' and 'Oh! Darling'. I love how powerful and emotional his voice gets. It's so guteral and real. Plus I love the psychedelic sound, I know understand the popularity of this album. The tone shift in 'I want you', then just going straight to 'here comes the Sun' was so unexpected. It kind of gave a different connotation to the song. I always knew it as being super positive but after the previous song it feels like a dystopia.

Aware of it's legendary status, I have a listen (while reading a bit about its groundbreaking sound effects, equipment and recording methods... ) It was overall an enjoyable ride and a good tour of their music and some surprising styles they had collectively and individually arrived at by the time it was recorded, including a more expansive guitar and blues than I expected, but plenty of their psychedelic style, but also interesting, as a musical education goes. It takes a fair bit of education to understand the immense symbolism of what is achieved here. But the main thing is to experience it and have a fresh (actually, first) listen. I enjoyed the fittingly warm welcome of Track 1, the rich warmth (on big speakers) of "come together" - which is exactly what they did, here, for a final album. And then its quite a range of styles and pace: sometimes its blues album, some almost roger-waters guitar going on, and other experiments as if they each got a few 'wild cards' to put on it. Notable are "trippy" and coded references I suspect I often miss (being neither a Beatles expert or around at the time to understand). Track 2 (to my ear) jumps back to an earlier very McCartney sounding style? then "Maxwell's silver hammer" was just annoying, American blues with "Oh! Darling" but not with a voice I'd match with blues at all... ). A few jarring oddities (Octopus's Garden a kids singalong ditty). Andyte, this was fun and carefree rebellion, music of a time. Obviously so massive and influential. Would have been a wild listen. And on big speakers the warm blues rock sounds do work. I;ve seen at least one Beatles doco, soi i am not surprised the boring flat spot is Lennon's song about Yoko "she's so heavy" ( a triple entendre unintended?) to end side A. SideB offers "Here come the sun!"... Lovely uplifting energy. They can put a smile on your mind when they do their stuff right. Kids of the 60s, I think I might be starting to understand your music a bit better. (and how did you listen to "Because" without feeling stoned?) Sun king. I like "Sun King". A bit of fun gibberish. I think I have a favourite Beetles song finally And then it keeps going - a medley they called it... . A fitting, playful, showcase, farewell album. A bit of everything and it felt like everyone got to have a go... I am happy I did not skip it.

This was my first cassette tape of music that the older kids listened to. I love the randomness and variety of songs. As I've gotten older, I've realized a number of these songs were just slapped together as the band was beginning to come unglued and did not "Come Together" as the lead song would imply. This is 5 on all counts except that I think they could have done better.

I wish I could give it a 4.5/5. Well done but not quite a 5 for me

There are so many songs out there that cans from the Beatles, that I didn’t realize until I was older. I can usually distinguish the “Beatles” sound, and have never really been drawn to them or their music-until Come Together. I’m still always surprised that it’s their song! I’ve never listened to a full album until now, and I did enjoy it, although it seems that it was unfortunately one of their last albums. I may delve more into their music now. We’ll see…. Listen again: yes Purchase for my collection: I might own it already? Favourite Song: Come Together

First time I’m listening to this milestone. The main reason for me to do this project is being pushed to listen to the classics. Been anticipating my first Beatles and i guess I am starting at the end. Enjoyable but mixed bag that doesn’t really hit my buttons. Mixes total stinkers (Maxwells hammer) with amazing pop songs like Come together and Something.

Great album but what’s going on with maxwells hammer and octopus’s garden.

One of my faves, even though it carries a sad ending legacy.

Goed, maar overrated

Lastig.

Classic

We all live in a yellow submarine!

Plenty I recognized, and everything else was fun

I know this is an iconic album, but I’m not really well versed in the Beatles and haven’t listened to their music a lot besides the everyday hits. I liked it overall, had a few songs out of left field that I didn’t expect (Spanish?) but I liked a lot of what I heard, and the few popular ones were as good as I remembered.

Yeah it’s the Beatles mate. Probably my favourite Beatles record. 8/10

Really liked this one. I’ve never really been impressed by the Beatles and didn’t understand why they are so highly regarded, starting to get it now

Quite a few songs I liked, but I really don't like the Beatles. They've made some of the most beautiful songs know, but to me, most of their songs are just boring love song fare. Still, 4 stars, because this album had more good songs than bad.

I am acutely aware that this album is the number one rated album on this list so I had to think carefully about this. I know it might be shocking for the many ardent fans, but I just don’t think the album is really that cohesive. Harrison writes some of the best songs of his career and Ringo throws in a couple of cute ditties and Lennon and McCartney are solid as usual but I don’t think it all gels together as well as say Sergeant Pepper, which I gave five stars. On Sergeant Pepper, every single song was a killer and the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. No doubt Abbey Road is still a great album but I reserve five stars for only a handful of truly “perfect” albums, but that’s just me.

All my life I've said I'm not much of a Beatles fan. Yet here I was, singing along to damn near every track. Great album.

Not their strongest work in my mind but still excellent moments and enjoyable throughout.

Not a massive Beatles fan. Come Together is maybe my favourite song of theirs, and I always like Octopus's Garden. Apart from Something, and, Here Comes the Sun, I didn't find much else that stood out, or that I enjoyed.

I think I've come to appreciate The Beatles more since listening to their albums fully. They have such a great style and are able to switch their sound so easily. Highlights: Come Together Oh! Darling Here Comes The Sun Carry That Weight

Obligatory I am not a Beatles fan... Although, this was the best album of theirs we've had so far. Lots of tracks I knew. But, like most of their other albums, there's also a lot of tracks that I don't think are great. Overall I don't think I'd choose to listen to much of this again Highlights are: Come together Something Octopus garden I want you Here comes the sun Because Carry the weight I've just realised I've listed pretty much half of the album there so think it has to get a 4..... Still not a huge fan though!

I just read an article about the song Maxwell’s Silver Hammer and how the band hated it, hated recording it, thought it was a ridiculous Paul song and no one but him was into it. Add me to the list of people not into it. The rest of the album is fantastic however.

I love the Beatles but the first half of this album does not hold up. The second half is perfect though

So close to a 5 but the last few songs kinda lost me

I think it’s a great album but I think it’s over hyped. There are a lot of people out there saying this is the best album of all time. It’s good but not THAT good

What a finish. Minus a star for Octopus’s Garden

Non il loro top, però si cazzo è bello. Nulla da aggiungere, è esattamente quello che promette, Beatles classici.

It's The Beatles, of course it's good. Very good for the most part. I just could never get down with some of the songs. Sun King is one of my least favorite Beatles songs, Something and Come Together are fine but very overrated in my book. I find myself gravitating toward the more whimsical stuff (Maxwell's Silver Hammer, Octopus's Garden, Mean Mr. Mustard, Her Majesty) and 2 of my absolute favorite Beatles songs: Carry That Weight and Here Comes The Sun. I can see why many love this album and would slap a 5 without hesitation, but I think they made better albums and this is just a smidgen over hyped. A strong 4.

The Dark Horse emerges at last on this album with “Something”, the first ever non-Lennon/McCartney Beatles’ single. When it went #1 in America, Lennon’s estimation of it being the best song on the album was clearly justified. After all, it was Lennon’s idea to finally give Harrison a single release, to help give his bandmate courage and confidence in songwriting. The greatness of Harrison thus further emerges with this song and with “Here Comes the Sun”. As everyone knows, this is the Beatles’ final album, as it was released before but recorded after Let It Be and the imminent breakup of the band is painted all over the music. The Fab Four didn’t enjoy working together anymore, and their ability to make music together suffered. They knew they were breaking up, and they wanted to leave as the greatest band in history. Are they? In America, Abbey Road is their biggest selling album, but is it their best? Twelve of the 17 tracks first surfaced during the “Get Back” sessions, and thus some songs got days of attention, whereas others received very little focus. Some songs are just fragments, highlighting two things: the band’s fatigue and Lennon’s divided attention (Yoko and heroin). What happens in the end, therefore, is the throwing of all these fragments into a medley, one last, great run before the band breaks up, one final “hurrah!”

One of the best all time. So many gems on here but does not have the extra sparkle.

Some great, memorable songs. The album goes all over the place and feels uneven.

I mean, its Abbey Road, giving it anything less than a 4 would be deemed sacrilege. The Beatles have had more ink and pixels dedicated to detailing every single inch of recorded tape than any other band. If George Harrison farted during a take, that fart would have its own wikipedia page. Is the album perfect? I don't think so, by this point The Beatles couldn't be in the same room as each other and I think at times it shows. Maxwell's Silver Hammer if it was released by anyone other than The Beatles would be a quirky late 60's/early 70's top 10 that would be a tough question in a pub quiz. Ringo managed to contribute his best and worst as well, best being the iconic drumming on The End and worse being well, you know what. Overall this album shows a fractured Beatles trying to "come together" and at its highest is magical and its lowest its Maxwell's Silver Hammer.

Gave this one a listen yesterday in the car while running some errands and decided to re-listen today after reading all the positive reviews. There are still some mixing and production things that keep me from wanting to come back to this all the time, but I respect songwriting and there’s a lot of fun stuff on here. Cover art: 10/10 iconic

Ight I thought I was being clever and fun listening on vinyl…turns out this things scratched to shit. Pooping and skipping all over the place 😂. But yeah anyway this shit it’s so fire. side A was all bangers. I forget that the Beatles made reall ass rock. In my head I always right then off as more like folky (not sure why lmk if I’m completely trippin) Side B is a little lackluster but overall good, you just can’t be a first half THAT stacked. 👍 pretty much the entire first half

let's goo I can skip one (already listened to it, thought it was alright)

é bom

Much better than sgt pepper

Great rock album with some very strong moments such as I Want You and Something, and the ending medley is mostly great also. Nice variety on the album with some progressive and psychedelic elements, however just a couple weaker songs stop it from being perfect.

3 absolute classic tracks, the rest is fairly average

superb with a couple of fillers and the medley tunes are hit or miss.

blah blah, classic blah

Yeah, some good songs. THey might G0 s0meWh3re someday.

Good album. That 8 minutes long track was absolutely pointless though. I vomited up some spicy ramen while listening to it. Obviously it wasn't caused by the song just thought I'd mention it. The serious song playing in the background made it all the more dramatic. Good times. Anyways, Here Comes The Sun is one of the best songs ever and the beginning of the album is pretty good. The second half with the short songs was weird but not bad. It was more like one big song though. Or at least it felt more coherent than the long track from the first side. Songs I Already Knew: Come Together, Oh! Darling, Octopus's Garden, Here Comes the Sun Songs I Really Liked: Come Together, Something, Maxwell's Silver Hammer, Oh! Darling, Octopus's Garden, Here Comes the Sun

Very good

The better songs on this album are good, but as per every Beatles album, there's some nonsense on here too. Wish the second half didn't have the medley feel but will give a generous 4

Stadigt med flera klassiker. Förstår varför det är så pass omtyckt.

Vapse kitoks, negu Revolver 🔫 . Ana bsk per mazai ivertinau

Without a doubt a great and memorable album. I am not much of a Beatles fan though, which is why I give it 4/5

Great album

Just had Beatles Revolver 3 days ago. This one is noteworthy just for George’s contributions. “Something” and “Here Comes The Sun.”

There’s a lot of classics on here, and in particular some that I found on the Across the Universe soundtrack. I enjoyed some of those covers more than these but there’s also an equal amount of betters on here. The Beatles have never really been my thing, but I’ve been itching to listen to this album knowing it would be on the list.

Whoa, rather big one from the Beatles, eh? This one's the highest ranked album on this site, so it's been a long time coming. I've never listened to this in full, but of course I recognize a lot of tracks on here. Plenty of bangers, but also some skips for me. They oscillate between good, solid hits and some weirdo tracks that for me just don't work. I definitely wouldn't put this as high as Revolver, and I think Sgt. Pepper's is probably better too for committing to the weird concept. This one has a degree of variety that seems aimless, in a way that it feels more like a compilation than an actual album. The balancing act between variety and cohesion isn't always perfectly pulled off, even by the Beatles. Still, the highs are high enough and frequent enough that I can't deny it's a great album (even if it's parts are greater than the sum). An undeniable dose of classic hits is great, even if it's padded with a little filler. Favorite tracks: Here Comes the Sun, Come Together, Oh Darling, I Want You, The End, Her Majesty Polythene Pam, Octopus' Garden. Album art: Iconic. I recreated this for a work photo once, and I was the barefoot Paul in that scenario. It's all coming together. 4.5/5

This one has some of my favorite Beatles songs, but also some of my least favorite Beatles songs (also, not ashamed to say, that most of their songs that I do like, there's a cover version that I like better) :S

Good for an afternoon at home.

A very enjoyable listen!

Solid album with a few all-time classics.

A classic.

What's there to say? It's a great record, even avoiding some of the more twee-ish songs. Favorite tracks: "I Want You", "The End"

Some snow on the ground. Aurora.

I don’t think this one fully “clicked” with me yet (being my second listen a while after the first), but I’m beginning to appreciate The Beatles more. All across the album, there’s incredibly strong songwriting, and some killer melodies. You can tell that the band is really just having fun on this album, and the playfulness is just refreshing. Even though they don’t take themselves completely seriously, there’s serious strength behind these songs, with “I Want You (She’s So Heavy)” being an especially dense listen. All in all, just a mixture of sweet and powerful tracks. Faves: I Want You (She’s So Heavy), The End, Sun King, Come Together, Maxwell’s Silver Hammer

Another Beatles album, at this point I'm not sure which ones I have left ahah! Saved tracks: Something, Octopus's Garden, Golden Slumbers

I dunno, its the Beatles innit. One of their best albums in my opinion, it doesn't have any of those weird jangly irritating tracks some of the other albums have.

A few really good songs - still don't love them but enjoy the weird vibes and trippy music

Definitely one of their best albums, if you leave out maxwells silver hammer

Come together e Beatles mest overrated sång men dehä e ett mycket bra album

Undrar varför Paul inte har skor. 🤔

Wow, just heard this! Very cool album :)

It’s good, but personally I don’t understand how it seems to be ranked as the Beatles best album. I don’t think it even makes the top 3.

Side B is overrated.

so good

Abbey Road is an album that I bought on vinyl one summer in Croatia. It was a cheap pressing, but I certainly loved it and played it often. Nice to revisit songs like Maxwell's Hammer, Come Together and so many other classics. You Never Give Me Your Money is by far and away my favorite track though not the most popular one. Still a great album.

Near the end of The Beatles, the band delivers some of their best (“Come Together,” “I Want You (She’s So Heavy,” “Here Comes the Sun”), and some I could do without (“Maxwell’s Silver Hammer” and “Octopus’s Garden”). The album cover may be the most iconic in history, but the album itself doesn’t add up to more than its hits.

The first side + Here Comes The Sun is an immaculate opening to the album. I love the sound of Come Together, but paying more attention this time, the verse lyrics appear non-sensical. Something is something of a masterpiece by George Harrison. Then there is a five song run, Because through Polythene Pam, on the second half that I could do without. Thankfully it picks back up with She Came In Through The Bathroom Window. Cutting those 5 mediocre tracks out would boost this album to the top.

1001 dingen die je gedaan moet hebben, voor je de pijp uit gaat: een foto maken bij dit zebrapad. Check

Really liked it, made me rethink the Beatles a little bit

94/100

Incredible album. The variety of types of music present is really interesting. I Want You is a song that is almost shocking to listen to and I wish I could have been around to hear this album when it came out. Not my favorite Beatles album, but it's still a great listen.

Obviously brilliant, but they’re best? Well, my kids love it. Still a sgt peppers stan though.

"Maxwell's Silver Hammer" - probably one of the worst things ever committed to vinyl. Then again, "Come Together", "Something" and "Here Comes the Sun" - all fantastic. Seems like George was really on form on this one. Macca not so much.

KUULTU JO.......... onnhan se hyvä... nii. HULLU TUO KUVA. ON SE ................. NÄKYNYT KAIKKALLA NIMITTÄIN... jaahas... joo ehkä paremman puoleen beatles abum ehkä tykkään valko abumista enemmän.... octopus garden on paras bibisi.... ringon kirjoittama.... j

Not my favourite Beatles album, but still so good. There is so much variety in the songs, their structure and their production.

lul. favorite beatles album, sorry. 4/5

It's really good. I don't think it's my go-to Beatles album, but lots of great songs on there.

Already listened to

In this case, the most popular songs from the album are actually the only really good ones. The rest are just a bit weird.

Way ahead of its time. Today, there is music I like better, but not much.

The first half is amazing. I just can’t get in to the second half. Octopus’ garden is one of my favorite goofy songs. Love ringo.

It’s the Beatles, production is crisp, but it’s just the Beatles

Overall I think the Beatles are overrated. However, this album is pretty solid. I like their more experimental songs. Also Here Comes the Sun is one of my favorites. I can definitely see how this album secured the legacy of the Beatles and remains one of the best selling albums. I may not listen to every song again, but I will definitely keep a few in my rotation.

If you like the Beatles (which I do), one of the great ones. I do think it’s marred by a lack of cohesion and composition caused by its “your side, my side” assembly. And much as I’m loathe to agree with Lennon’s pretentious attitude of the time, the lyrics of Maxwell’s Silver Hammer are kind of dumb.

Probably my favorite Beatles album, but I still think they're better by themselves. PM's "Ram" and GH "All Things Must Pass" are masterpieces. Still don't life the british goofy songs they put out, they don't age well. Notable tracks for me are "I Want You" and the "Golden Slumbers". I also like how the latter half of the album is more of an experience rather than individual tracks.

Notes:Partway through so far, does "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" normally just end abruptly or did my version do a prank on me? The second half of the album is waaay better than the first half, imo. Review: I understand now why people call this album a classic, although I feel like the first half is a little bit of a slog. I don't think any of the songs are bad, mind, but I think the ubiquity of some of the earlier songs like "Octopus's Garden" and "Come Together" make it harder to give those a fair shake and not be reminded how often I've heard them before. "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" is a standout song on the first half, and pretty much from "You Never Give Me Your Money" onward the album is pretty engaging.

An album I grew up listening to. It’s honestly not my favorite. It’s hard to rank the Beatles but I find myself listening to white album more than anything else of theirs. It’s a great album sonically but maybe just not to my personal sensibilities

Legendary album, the production will always be of particular note for this album. Every Beatles albums has like 5 songs everyone knows. For a discussion of great albums, it’s hard to assess and say objectively this is an amazing album with today’s ears when you remove the brand name. But still a great album.

Not a bad album and I don't want to hate on the Beatles but especially taking into consideration the status the band and this album has, it is slightly disappointing. It's an album with good songs, thats for sure but especially 50 years later, the album just hasn't aged that well. Certainly not on par with some of the other albums that have shared the #1 spot here in the past

Startet stark, wird dann aber schwächer. Trotzdem noch eine 4.

Octopus’s garden

Classic

Lots of bangers, but generally not their best

Looks like another 3 Beatles albums after this one. I can't quite justify 5 stars for this one, it's enjoyable but not in a way that I must listen to it immediately again. Faves: Come Together, I Want You, Sun King

I mean, it's a classic for a reason. Not chock full of bangers though.

"Here Comes the Sun" is one of my all-time favorite tracks from the Beatles. "Golden Slumbers / Carry That Weight / The End" is my next favorite track on this album. I have a soft spot for the absurd in the tracks "Octopus's Garden" and "Maxwell's Silver Hammer". This was not the first time I've listened to this album, and probably not the last.

4.2 + It's rare that a top-10 music list doesn't include "Abbey Road" but it's not even my favorite Beatles record. First, "Come Together" is probably the most tired song on classic rock radio. And any cool factor that song may have once had was thoroughly sucked out by Aerosmith with their atrocious cover. Second, people praise this album's cohesion but to me it sounds like a potpourri with few unifying themes or concepts. Going from "Something" to "Maxwell's..." to "Oh! Darling" to "Octopus's Garden" - it feels like they strung together some leftovers from other recording sessions. Third, "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" really drags down the end of side A - it's such a ponderous and pointless slog. Fourth, I dislike "Golden Slumber", both the song and McCartney's grunty vocal performance. Still, there's plenty that I do love on here. "Maxwell's..." is among the best of their cartoonish ditties. "Oh! Darling" is an extravagantly soulful ballad that McCartney actually does manage to nail vocally. "Here Comes the Sun" is an evergreen classic that brightens any graduation or wedding ceremony. The trippy "Because" has some incredible synthesized orchestration and choral harmonies. And the "Medley" is a carousel of colors and images.

Some absolute classics on this one, shame they're British.

Platonic ideal of a Beatles album

I want you (she's so heavy is such an amazing song. Love the album.

I mean fine obviously good

I'm not a massive Beatles fan but this is one of their better albums in my opinion.

Maybe was expecting something a bit more, prefer other Beatles albums. Good but not mind blowing

This is this fourth Beatles album on this list. If I could change the ratings I previously gave those other albums I would. They (With the Beatles, The White Album, Sgt Peppers) all received a 4 but those probably needed to be adjusted down. Half ratings would have been useful. This album is better than those other albums so 4.5, but I will round down and give it a 4. Nonetheless, this album has 17 songs and clocks in under an hour. This is a benefit. The album starts out strong. Then there are some eccentric songs. Peaks with Here Comes The Sun. Then the remaining songs are alright. They are familiar and I have heard them before. There aren't that many campy songs on this album.

Never listened to a Beatles album. Was enjoyable. Highlights were both written by George Harrison. Who knew.

My best friend and I spent many, many hours listening to this and other Beatles albums album. We knew all the words. Because of all the music from the intervening years you forget how groundbreaking they were at the time.Loved it ! 4*

hard to not give at least 4 without looking like a non music loving belligerent Manc with a chip on his shoulder about that moptop band from the wrong end of the M62. but for every "I want you" there is a "maxwells silver hammer" which cheapen the mood

The Beat Holes aren't so bad after all

A lot of great songs on here: Come Together, I Want You (She's So Heavy), You Never Give Me Your Money, and so on. But the real crown jewel of this album is the medley, which carries on from You Never Give Me Your Money. Each song has a distinctive flavor while also flowing seamlessly, creating a great run of jams all the way to The End (haha, do you see what I did there?). I cannot stress how much I feel the medley elevates the album. I'm not a huge Beatles guy to begin with, but it's really neat to see that sort of thing played out. One of my favorite albums of all time took inspiration from this medley, so hats off to The Beatles!

First 2/3 of this album are just superb. Very tempted to give it the 5, but i won't!

Hey, these guys are onto something here! In all sincerity, I was actually a little surprised at how poorly some of this has aged. The highs are incredible, but there's some right old tripe on this too. Still rather good for all that.

Rating: 7/10

I prefer to side one of the album and the opening two tracks of side two (Here comes the sun and Because). Not that fussed about the song suite thereafter, it's just a bit fluff with no substance. This is the best recorded Beatles album, the production is really crisp. It gets slated, but I actually really like Maxwell's Silver Hammer! Other highlights are Come Together and Something. As s you would expect from The Beatles, it's a really good album.

Not their strongest album, but still contains some gems

Pretty good, although not the biggest beatles fan overrall.

There are some transcendent moments, the exemplar being the lead-in to Here Comes the Sun. There's brilliant production, which is the part of the Beatles I appreciate most at the moment. (It's emphasized by the remaster, as well.) I respect the move toward guitar-focused pop. Abbey Road is a touch too slick, with less sticky weird parts than Revolver or Sgt. Pepper's. I don't love the near-vignettes on side B, but there the slickness is a strength.

Great songs and filler

Great guitar

Sure. A Classic.

Classic for a reason! Some of the best beatles songs.

Stereo separation is strange! Come Together, Something and Here Comes the Sun all winners.

Such a bizarre, yet captivating collection of songs amidst feuding friends

As another review said, an objectively good album but not in my taste

classic

Det är abbey road liksom

Discazo cómo no ¿todas las rolas? no sé

Some excellent Beetles classics - good to listen to it in its entirety

starts off really strong, but the medley is weird. made a big best of beatles playlist after listening.

hey where is jack malik??

Classic. But wasn’t feeling it yesterday.

Few very good songs but a lot of fill

I’ve already listened to this it’s very good.

They only had 7 years to be the Beatles, so rhats why there are songs like maxwell's silver hammer on every Beatles album. This is excellent though, even with the silly Beatles stuff. Easy 4, they'll get a five on another album.

Of course it has classic tracks, though due to this being my first listen I didn't get as excited about the album as others would. I will probably rediscover this album at some point in my life where it's more relevant. Overall enjoyable, can't go wrong.

These guys are always tough to rate - sometimes giving too much credit other times not enough. Either way, I enjoyed this one which included some real hits along with some quirkier songs. I preferred the rock side to the fantasy or folk on this album compared to others. Come together, something, carry that weight.

idk why I chose to listen to the super deluxe version

Classic

14th July 2021 Listened to the vinyl in the evening on my first day at the FT while me and jen made a celebratory morrocan style dinner. Funny one because it's held up as one of the greatest albums of all time and it does have some totally amazing songs but also a few that I don't think are that great through the second half.

Classic. Here Comes The Sun and Octopuses Garden two of my all time favorites.

Good but not their best album.

Can’t hate on the beatles

Good album. A classic. Particularly enjoyed: I want you Maxwell’s Silver Hammer Because

Tja...

Enorm divers en uitdagende plaat. Zo'n enorme muzikale ontwikkeling tov hun begintijd. Geen 5 sterren want er zijn nog betere Beatles platen dan deze 🙂

Ons trouwlied: here comes the sun 😍.

Our first album on the Global Top Ten and this one actually fits the hype. Songs are solid throughout and a wide variety of sounds because the different members will take the lead on different songs. I know understand a bit more why the Beatles have their own radio station and why people debate who their favorite Beatle is.

Pretty good album, wouldn’t choose to listen to it again but wouldn’t turn it off. There’s too many massive hits on there to not enjoy it.

Great song, some not that much

Mostly good and second half is like one long song across multiple tracks. 7/10.

Paar nette Sachen dabei

Oh darling is nice

Semibängeri Helt najs beatles joonejtillika

Used to live on Abbey Road!! Great album - Beatles emerging from throw away 60s pop to some progressive pop / rock

The Beatles were quite good, weren’t they? Octopus’ Garden is a certified banger.

It's the Beatles, of course it's great. But I do think they have a few albums I like more.

Classic. Hard to not like it.

Not bad

Got this for Aubrey on vinyl solid album

One of my favorite Beatles albums

I enjoyed this a lot more than Revolver. It's a bit more tame, but I enjoy the simplicity and simple genius of many of the songs. So many classics!

Beatles again? I know this album. Pass

A classic album, what can be said, Beatles at their best.

classic

Some great moments but all a little fractured. Past their peak.

Beetles

Nice to hear the Beatles again. In this album there are some of the real Goldie's of them, but also some nice ones I didn't know up until so far. Not all of them I liked of course. But the overall experience was pleasant

A pretty enjoyable album in my eyes

Very diverse. Early use of synths?

solid golden oldies baby

4/5 Favourite songs were oh darling and I want you (she's so heavy).

altough ill probably never become a beatle fan, it cannot be denied the album is quite diverse and musically interesting for a pop album.

Well-rounded early rock and roll album

This album isn't bad, I'd even say it's pretty damn good, but it hasn't transcended time and space like the music critics would like you to think. The songs are pretty varied, but it's really easy to tell where it was a Paul song, or George song etc - the entire flavour of the album changes from song to song, which isn't a plus imo. Also, the "standard"-sounding songs kinda ruin the effect of the more experimental stuff by proxy. I can see why Lennon complained about McCartney's "granny" music haha. But it's hard to hate songs like octopuses garden - it is honestly good songwriting. 4/5.

It's the Beatles. Better than Sgt Pepper, for sure. 3.75 rounded down to 3. Favorite tracks: Somewhere, Because, Octopus's Garden.

I want to rate this album the lowest possible because the Beatles are annoying and their lyrics are dumb and they are way way WAY overplayed. But if I’m honest this album has a variety of sounds (some of them are even interesting or nice) and a few deep cuts that I don’t often hear.

Like all Beatles album there are some great songs surrounded by a lot of filler at best, tat at worst. Come together, Something, Here Comes the Sun, and Sun King are excellent but none of the rest is even particularly memorable one way of the other. 4/17 isn’t a an acceptable hit rate even when the good songs are so good. 2.8

A classic record. Some of my favourite Beatles' songs are on this album; the opening two tracks, 'Here Comes the Sun' and 'Carry that Weight'. I appreciate all the artistry and variation but for me it lacks bite. Maybe it's just a bit too clean / polished and light to be a favourite all time album of mine but worthy of this list.

Considered a masterpiece. I'm not a great fan. Maybe it's the hyperbole, maybe the ubiquitous nature of their radio airplay or maybe, for me, it's the sheer inconsistencies across each album. Some outstanding tracks, and some dross filler. Heard before ❌️ Listened this time ✅️ Revisit ❌️ ★★★☆☆(6/10) Total reviewed : 365 Already owned : 79 Purchased : 16 To buy : 7 Nope : 263

The historical significance of the metadata of this album is indisputable. The last EP from the band as a group before their break up, the most streamed song 'Here comes the sun' written by non core writing member George Harrison, essentially opening up the band to a major audience & the most iconic album cover, drawing major footfall to the street till date. The music itself is a mixed bag of soft melodies & heavy bass set. It is not a psychedelic as Seargent Peppers neither as country as the other discography. Despite recieving major criticism on electronically generated content, this album sounds like a honest creation still standing the test of time as great house music.

I think I'm trying to enjoy this as much as possible, because I know this is not only the highest rated Beatles album on this list, but also the joint highest rated album on this list in general. However, this just doesn't really speak to me. At all. I see the audience for this - it's the Gen X/Boomers that remember a time where the Union Jack was a symbol of, well, union, and not a tabard of racial militia and fear of/for the minority; it's the people that thought Brexit was a good idea, because it was going to make the UK feel like this album again; it's for the young people raised by those monoliths of Anglomania. I am not the audience for this album, not any more. It's not all bad, with songs like Something and Here Comes The Sun being classics whether I like it or not, but in general I could really take or leave this album.

4.5 is insane for this, it's solid

-1 for Paul’s dead and skiffle parts are annoying

I listened to it on my LP I have of this album. Is that a flex? Not really, everyone has this one on LP. Is it great? Not really. Did it have an great impact on music, culture and life in general. Yes, of course. And it's not bad by any means, it's just overplayed and overglazed in my opinion. And for an album that has been sold so many times and rated so high so many times it is pretty hard to not be overrated. So it is okay I guess.

I was a little disappointed when this came up at the first album because The Beatles are kind of a dad-music-eye-roll. When I was a teen, I was obsessed with the movie Across the Universe (a musical of only Beatles songs) and many of these songs I already know deeply from that. I tried to push that initial feeling aside because sometimes the Greats are great for a reason. I cannot say that I have ever heard Maxwell's Silver Hammer before. I had never heard the actual Beatles version of Oh! Darling! - really good I am trying to put myself in the shoes of someone who has not heard most of these 1 million times and I do think it is impressive and surprising how many hits are on one album.

lowkeys abit boring

Starts interesting, Come Together has a quiet funky feel on the blues, the walking bassline reminds me of Cream or something. What's that instrument on Maxwell's Silver Hammer? Sounds like a synth but it can't be in 1969! I Want You sounds like it's trying to be Rolling Stones. Towards the end it's genuinely grungey - sounds like Soundgarden! And then cuts off straight into Here Comes the Sun, what strange sequencing. Overall it's eclectic, but strongly written. Best track (other than Here Comes the Sun) - I Want You 3 stars - I think I get why it's important, but it doesn't blow my mind in 2026

my first album !! I like this the more I listen to this. I once rated this a two, right now it’s a three, and who knows what the future holds for this album and I ?

I’d listened to a lot of this but I enjoyed the playfulness of ones I hadn’t heard like Octopus’s Garden. Last few songs on the record were my favourites. Less keen on the middle. Had to kick the urge to skip on I Want You- how much he wanted her also drove ME mad. Favs: Here Comes The Sun (classico), Golden Slumbers, Carry That Weight, The End, Her Majesty

Album 83 Top 3 favorites off the album: Octopus's Garden, Her Majesty, Carry That Weight Confession at the beginning of the review: I'm going into this with the opinion that The Beatles are overrated. What I have heard of them thus far has been okay, but not life changing. I have a much different experience of music than people had when they were coming up, though, so I'm going to be fair about this experience. I am open to my mind being changed or not. I'm going to do another song-by-song review like I did for The Cardigans. I am also going to pretend that there is a fire on this album, and I have to pick which songs would get rescued from the fire and which ones would be left behind. I am only allowed to save a maximum of half of the total tracks (since there are 17, I will give myself 8 if I don't like more, or 9 if I need one additional). I will rank them at the end from "I would throw myself back into the fire if this one did not make it out" to "I would throw this one back into the fire if it made it out." Come Together: Enjoyed the bass. This was a good opening. Something: Vocals remind me of Freddie Mercury a little, good to see where he may have found inspiration. It's slow. Even when it built up some rhythmic intensity, it stayed slow. I liked the wide vibrato (maybe? I'm a cellist, not a guitarist, so please bear that in mind while I'm talking about fretted instruments and techniques... whammy bar??? Help me!!!). It was alright. Maxwell's Silver Hammer: I liked it! It was a bop. Oh! Darling: It's slow. It's kinda sappy. I like slow. I even like sappy in moderate doses. I like the rougher vocal quality going on after that first quick drum and piano break. I'm just an ass today and can't stomach people in love. I think this one would be a good karaoke choice. If I were the karaoke type, I'd do this one. Actually, maybe I will. That changed my mind about this one. I don't want it on a playlist, but I do want it at the karaoke bar. Situationally decent song. Octopus's Garden: The single most relatable song on this album. I don't even need to hear the rest of the album to make that judgement. This song would be the first one out the door. If so much as one single bit of soot was found on this song, I would be inconsolable. I Want You (She's So Heavy): I like the tiny bit at the end of the second half of the melody that goes up chromatically. I like the way the end of the first half of the melody descends way low. The harmonization between vocals and guitar was nice. It's fine. I just don't like it as much as other things. Here Comes the Sun: Jarring transition much? I've heard this many, many times. I can take this flavor of The Beatles in moderation. It's a nice song. Because: A dreamy quality to this one. You Never Give Me Your Money: What a title. Semi-relatable as far as no money goes. I was pleasantly surprised by the change in sound after the first few seconds. That moved it up quite a bit in ranking. Sun King: It's the father of Here Comes the Sun. I liked it. Not many notes on this one. Mean Mr Mustard: I liked the groove on it. Polythene Pam: No huge feelings, actually. It moved. That's about it. She Came In Through The Bathroom Window: It went by so fast dude. I think it was okay? Honestly, the two preceding plus this one are all one song to me. Golden Slumbers: I'VE ONLY EVER HEARD THIS ONE IN SING OR THAT DUDE WHO PARODIES HUGH JACKMAN SINGING THINGS. Oh my god. This took me out at my desk. Another case of it not being that funny but it's that funny to me. This one has to come out of the fire. Carry That Weight: The transitions between songs made me miss this one initially. My bad. I liked it when I thought it was part of Golden Slumbers. I'm torn because of the humor value of Golden Slumbers to me, but the fact that this is the one I like more. I know what I have to do. The End: It sure is. I didn't love the beginning of it. I liked the last 45 seconds or so. Her Majesty: Okay, I've gotta be honest. I am so glad this one was the end. I really liked it. Hell, I'll even go so far as to say I loved it. For a 25 second song, it has somehow landed in 2nd place. This was a hit worthy of being runner-up to Octopus's Garden. I would also be inconsolable if this had soot on it after the fire. The back half of this album went by really fast from about Sun King to The End. The seamless transitions contributed to that. A lot of very brief songs that didn't have as distinct characters as those in the first half. Definitive ranking: FIRE RESCUES Octopus's Garden, Her Majesty, Carry That Weight, Golden Slumbers, Here Comes the Sun, Sun King, Maxwell's Silver Hammer, Come Together FIRE LOSSES Because, She Came In Through The Bathroom Window, You Never Give Me Your Money, Mean Mr Mustard, The End, Polythene Pam, Something, Oh! Darling, I Want You (She's So Heavy) Final reflection: I enjoyed this more than initially anticipated. I think there were a few hits, a few misses, and a lot that fell just on one side or the other. The general lack of passion in one direction or the other for the majority of the album leads me to upholding my prior opinion. As of this album, I maintain that they are overrated, though I am now more neutral towards them rather than opposed to listening to them. I assume there are more of their albums on here. I'll judge those similarly.

kinda overrated

Немного не мой жанр, но мне понравилось как звучат некоторые песни.

It's the Beatles. It's going to be amazing, right? Well, no. I can see how it was the revolution in the day, and it is still good now, but not great.

LaLaLa

I rolled my eyes when I saw another Beatles album come up but I liked this one quite a bit more than revolver. It feels like there’s less fluff (except for Ringos dumb kids song). Was impressed by a lot of the instrumentation on songs I had never heard or only heard in passing. Guitar riffs on The End for instance. I would listen again.

Very good album.

Was ok. Would not actively listen to again.

I liked some of the songs, but i do not find the songs sonically distinct enough on the album to my personal taste. I would give 6/10. I prefer other beatles albums

-suffers from the "incredible but so mindnumbingly overplayed that it's kind of impossible to judge it fairly" disease which i guess is an accomplishment in and of itself. -if i was george harrison in 1969 and john and paul told me we had to have "maxwell's silver hammer" on the album, i would've ended up on the news. -some of these songs are really truly brilliant and some of them are like well i'm glad you enjoyed your trip lads. -i love "i want you (she's so heavy)" so much. i used to listen to it over and over when i was in fact wanting someone so baaad it was driving me maaad. -i've never cared for "here comes the sun" but it is lovely to hear it directly after the abrupt ending of "she's so heavy". one of those songs that have to be heard in the middle of an album, on its own it just doesn't hit. -i kind of checked out for a while. seems like they're having fun tho. -"polythene pam" kind of a banger tbh. -i like "carry that weight". hmm.

Meh, it has some OK songs, but I'd say not even the best of the Beatles work.

Absolutely wild mixture of sheer genius and utter trash. Maxwell's Silver Hammer is unforgivable, Here Comes The Sun is delightful, I Want You is perfect.

Look, I know the Beatles aren't my favourite band of all time but I am not made of stone. The countless docs I have now watched on them has given me more of a soft spot. But I gotta be honest, I thought this album would have the good tunes on it like Get Back etc... and it didn't!!!! It's fine! It's a fine album! If it wasn't The Beatles tm would we all go so crazy for it? Idk if we would??? Sue me??

Not the best of their albums. Enthält octopus garden and oh darling. Something out of another world. A bit more slow but some songs are 11/10 A lot of choir. That album alone would propably too boring for me. But it contains bangers

Not a big fan of the Beatles, but is a decent album

I've never really liked the Beatles. It isn't that I don't get it, it's more that their output is so diverse that I can easily find songs I like because I like bands clearly influenced by those songs, but as much as that there will be songs I just don't like. I really dislike them when they're whimsical because its just so dull and it happens so often. They so rarely feel like they have an edge. This album is like that. When I like it - Come Together, Oh Darling, I Want You - I really like it. But when I don't - Maxwell's Silver Hammer, Octopus's Garden, Mean Mr Mustard - it blows. And there's so much filler here. 7/10 rounded down to 3/5 because its overrated.

Famous, delightful and fun. I’d it my favorite Beatles album? No. Is it solid? Yes.

I’ve come a long way in my opinion of this album. It historically have not been one of my favorites, though I thought it was just all right. Then, eventually, I started to dislike it just feels a little bit too cleaned up, but nowadays the suite at the The end feels really strong and makes good use of the strength of Phil Spector and the Beatles. I still have some reservations about Maxwell and the sound of dude’s voice on Oh Darling and Something (idk it sounds weird bad lead guitar work? Not emotional enough? Idk)

Never could get into the beetles. Listened to full album to try again. It didn't work.

Classic but boring. despite this album has very good songs, the rest of sound very similar and simple.

Animado, pasa escuchar en días que necesito subir mi animo

You could've given me any other Beatles album, I could be listening to Revolver or Sgt. Pepper right now man. Oh! Darling slaps at least.

5/10 не однозначные эмоции не прям мое

10/5 for Harrison, but the rest…

Always grumpy about having to listen to The Beatles but this one… man, it was good in places.

- ohan tääny hyvä ja hyvii biisei ja kuulee kyllä et joku muukin artisti on tästä joskus innostunut, ei silti ehkä itelle säännölliseen toistoon ole tulossa vieläkään

Good album again from the Beatles. Nice combo of songs here. FS I want you

I like the harmonies and the crunchy guitar. I don’t care for the slower pace of many of the songs. I already liked Come Together. With this listen I also enjoyed Mean Mr. Mustard and Carry That Weight.

Прикольно, но местами скучно

Honestly, pretty good despite my previous assumptions about the beatles.

Come together, sun king, i want you - las más interesantes. El resto es mas suave o poco destacable.

First half excellent, lost me for 6 ish songs though

Some very sharp song endings. Not entirely my kind of music

No me mató, de vez en cuando está bueno volver a los Beatles pero no es mi disco fav

Is Octopus's Garden the best Beatles song ever created? Probably not, because that bridge is not that great. But you can't not like an album with Octopus's Garden on it.

Never a huge fan of the Beatles, it's a good album. Not sure why I don't like them, think it's the spam songs approach they took with their writing, it doesn't have the depth that grows on you

Like all Beatles albums, couple of classics but mostly, just…fine. It’s fine.

Abbey Road will never be the greatest album of all time because 30% of the songs are bad. As with the white album, the highs are as high as can be. Some of the greatest songs ever written. But these ratings aren't for the best song on an album it's for all 17(!) tracks

- As I mentioned before, I used to listen to the Beatles a lot, but I don’t anymore now that I know that John engaged in DV and Paul is a Zionist. - I know this album is lauded, but it's not my favourite Beatles by any stretch. - It has compelling guitar riffs, orchestral strings, and keys, and the bass is consistently good. - There are some absolutely classic songs on here (e.g., Come Together, Something, Here Comes The Sun, Golden Slumbers... I'd put Oh! Darling on that list, too). - That said, I always would skip the rest of the tracks. - On side 1, Maxwell's Silver Hammer & Octopus's Garden are pretty hokey. I Want You (She's So Heavy) goes on way too long, but the guitar and bass work is good on it. - Other than Here Comes The Sun and Golden Slumbers, I never play side 2 - I find the medley either dull or more of the same hokeyness (e.g., Mean Mr. Mustard, Polythene Pam, Carry That Weight). Yeah, the songs connect together well, but I don't connect with any of them. They all needed more work to give them more space and interest.

As someone who is more of a fan of the Please Please Me Era of the Beatles, this is just a 3 for me.

The hits are incredible no doubt, and the closing suite of songs is awesome; but boy does this have some duds for something so regarded as a classic.

Obviously enjoyed many of these songs, great catchy melodies!! And interesting from a music history perspective ofc cos it's the Beatles. Butttt I would say as a whole the album didnt resonate with me emotionally to a huge degree. Songs fit together cohesively though and a second listen gave me more joy

For such an iconic album, this album lacks hits. Growing up my parents loved to play the Bettles greatest hits, and this left me wanting more. overall Id rate it about a 3.5/5

Couple decent tracks but overall I was just waiting for it to finish

Ah, my first Beatles album rating. I'll be honest, I've never been a fan of the Beatles. I've listened to a lot of their music and read a lot about them. I can appreciate their influence but think they are very overrated and not the be-all-end-all of music that many of their fans act like they are. That being said, my first full Beatles album listen was okay. A little underwhelming actually. My understanding is that this was their final album as a band, and it definitely sounds like it. It's missing the magic that they had in some of their earlier works. Here Comes the Sun is great though. And of course the album cover is iconic.

Not my favourite band but a few tracks were good

Listened to this one while unpacking my room before term started. Knew most of the songs already so good one to half pay attention to.

Un clásico. Canciones maravillosas mezcladas con otras bastante normales. No es un álbum redondo ya que le sobran media docena de temas. 8/10

it was something that I wouldn’t normally listen to and surprisingly I loved it!

It’s the Beatles so doesn’t that mean I’m supposed to think it’s amazing? Well, I do appreciate what the Beatles did for modern pop/rock. And a few of their albums, regardless of whether one “likes” them, are undeniably influential artistic achievements that an automatically classics. I don’t think this one falls in that category. The cover art is certainly iconic! And a few of the songs are great (Carry That Weight, Come Together). What’s with the mini-songs though? The little 1-2 minute diddies? The music is great but then it just stops. Feels almost like they were undeveloped musical thoughts. Is that blasphemy? Anyway, I want to give this a 3, but feel compelled to give it a 4. No, this is my list. This is a subpar Beatles record.

A bit hrd listening for some

2.7/5 Really solid first 7 songs and then it all sort of drops off towards the end. I haven't listened to any Beatles albums before so it nice to hear the non singles tracks.

People rate this, but I think it's their weakest post-Pepper album.

Uno de albumes del grupo favorito de uno de mis mejores amigos. Top tier album de los 60’s. Special love songs are also found here. El vinilo es exquisito.

47m 17 songs Not a fan of the Beatles🙁

Overall a pretty solid album, but I think it suffers a bit from being released after the more ambitious Sgt. Pepper and the White Album, as I feel it's a pretty big step back. The songs are generally more straightforward in my opinion, and it seems to have less variation overall, playing it more safe and familiar instead of exploring different genres. Still, a well put-together record though. 3/5.

#814. OK, so here's my thought process while rating this one: We start out at the base 5 star rating that every album theoretically starts out with. Minus one star from the jump for me being reminded of John Lennon's existence. Minus two more stars for being yet another mid ass Beatles album with like two good songs and a bunch of fluff. Minus three more stars for that bukkake song where he was asking all those guy to cum together over him or whatever. And then plus 4 stars for the having the best Beatles song on there: Octopus's Garden. So let's do a little arithmetic and see where we're at... and it looks like we got to three stars overall. Yeah, that sounds about right. 3/5: fine

I was busy the past two days with Shay n Jade 🧑‍🧒. However I liked the album and I can see why it's considered a classic !

3.5 really but 4 is a bit too generous as some songs aren’t my thing. Well put together album and some good pieces of music.

A classic, I recognise it is a pillar to music, fame precedes it as they say. I realised I never listened to this album in its entirety while knowing of its existence. Generally speaking, the listening experience was good. But being completely honest… It didn’t entirely satisfy me. Maybe I expected something different given how much this specific album is heavily mentioned and adored. Some of the songs had me actually stopping just to listen and appreciate, and they were genuinely enjoyable. Others… They didn’t stick out to me.

The first half of this is really well sequenced and had a lot of iconic songs, though the second half fell flat for me. Still a good album, and nice of the Beatles to dedicate part of "I Want You" to your mother. 3/5

The end was better than the middle. It wasn’t as amazing a listen as I thought it would be. It had a rock overtone in the middle which didn’t fit the albim

Second track was my fav & carry that weight wasn’t as good as Jennifer Hudson’s cover. It was a nice rock vibe tho felt chill

Didnt really tickle my pickle

Definitely an album I can dance to but didn't have the time to understand all the lyrics so I will listen to again
