The over-amped mic capturing the plectrum scraping the strings on "Wild World" is, in my opinion, the single worse recording decision in the history of popular music. Otherwise a great album
not a sing along in the car album is it.
Awesome album second only to BSSM
awesome love it

Lets start with the single most successful album of all time. I have this on original release vinyl record!
This was alright. a good reflection on the well known tracks
It was alright. not my bag baby
missed most of it. not awful
Great album. spectacular guitar work
Liked it. respect for the technical challenges early electronic music faced
Never heard of it before today. not surprised. wont be returning to it.
Surprised to see a live album but i liked it
Never taken the time to listen to this album until now. glad i did
A classic and one I own. good to listen again

Liked this Early Costello is cool
classic
OK didnt set my world alight at the time or now.
good. liked it
Lovely spicy 80s album
I never got DB. This is alright (the remastering could have addressed the balance a little better). but not going to add to my listen again pile.
it was ok.
Never liked U2. a listen to thi album has done nothing to change that. mediocre
Ok. saved the famous one
Not awful

Not bad very of its time
pretty fun listen
this was weird i anticipated an album of songs similar to the rock blues of sunshine. bit of a let down
Actually really liked this. funny only hearing an album with 4 songs. not seen very often anymore
liked it
not listened to a BD album in it entirety before - glad i did
not to my taste - wasnt a stand out album musically.
I really liked Machine gun but didn't really rate the rest
Nice to hear the album linked to the song you have heard a billion times.
ok very chill but the one with the crying kid freaked me out
Liked this one only knew their Kylie duo until now. very Richard Thompson
Actually liked this. not my taste but a good listen
Courtney love gets a bad rap. she was as damaged as Kurt by the time he died and in the wisdom of my years now unfairly blamed. this album is cool. very punk
alright not stand out
alright - definitely lived up to their name
ok
too long
never really liked Bowie
How can you not love the Foo's This album coming out a year after the loss of KC and essentially being a solo effort is incredible.
Its alright nothing amazing. I might be biased though because the lead singer is a nob
ok wasn't really catching my attention
Nice album
chill
ok nothing mind blowing
not a massive Jazz fan but this was ok
pretty good love some of them
funky
I listened to this a long long time ago.
this was a solid Elton offering

Not my taste but a nice album. lots of bongos
Good fun
one of their best
alright listenable not memorable
weird album. not bad just weird
Its perfectly listenable to. I just dont get the emotional response that most people seem to tout.
This was an amazing album. Loved it
good title track but the remainder was more of the same - I guess that was Lemmys thing but hey
A cheeky little album. new to me and enjoyed
Was sure I wouldn't like this pleasantly surprised that i was wrong
Jazz... Nice
not terrible
pretty funky
classic
Fart trumpet at the beginnng... Is it me or does a lot of jazz sound like 4 guys got into a groove and don't know how to wrap it up?
pretty funky
pretty cool
cute little album i enjoyed it
Never sat to listen to this. its a good album. not a favourite
meh
Better than Definitely Maybe
not too bad
Nice. like country music with weird lyrics.
awesome love it
really... of all recorded music... this doesn't suck but its not an all time 1001
pretty cool
Goddamnit i hate country
banger
Wasn't too bad - one big hit and notjhing else!
Funky fresh Friday fun
This is a banger for sure not sure why 1979 is such a big hit.
Not a go to album but a fun listen
fun

very Leonard Cohen
classic
Super Funky fresh

not too bad for old school Alice
he was alright i suppose
The over-amped mic capturing the plectrum scraping the strings on "Wild World" is, in my opinion, the single worse recording decision in the history of popular music. Otherwise a great album
not as good as purple rain
not my bag baby
Banger
This album would be 100 times better if it wasn't for the arsehole singing
Rumours is better
Frantic and short. so short in fact (21 mins) I listened to the compliation of their initial EPs called "First Two Seven inches" just to clock an extra 19 mins! Proper punk
Not listening to this for the sake of my mental health.
Incredible pre grunge sound. glad to have been introduced.
Love the Lo-Fi aesthetic
I quite liked this. Good back story to the band too.
Its a sad testament to the state of modern music that Dylans voice just would not past muster if he were starting out today. Autotune and access to better resources would have minimized his career or damaged the "authenticity" of his music.
Interesting that, while obviously commercial (and a commercial success), "there she goes" is probably the worst song on the album.
Its either pioneering or desperately derivative. Maybe I just don't like country
A couple of bangers and a lot of filler. I nearly gave up on this one.
One of the best albums ever made. ever
Tolerable I suppose. only because i like Yellow
Half missing on Spotify since Neil Young took his catalogue off of the platform but a pleasant enough listen
shagging royalist its ok by me. Only drawback is listening to Morrisey sing.
So, "you've got a friend in me" is basically a repurposing of Birmingham. For an album Barely over half an hour. This kinda drags.
I just don't get why people love Bowie. This was just noise at one point.
An incredible swan song
Banger
If you Love Bluegrass this is a seminal album. That it was recorded in single takes with minimal technical editing is a testament to the craftsmanship of those musicians. God damn its a long album tho.
meh
interesting - very low fi and not my usual tea. very background music but Ballad of Nicky Maguire was good with that synth cutting in.
Song 1 (Terrapin) Miking the plectrum to replace percussion is always a terrible idea - see also Cat Stevens wild world.
I read about the use of very dark and controversial language being used by this band but to be honest I only caught about 5 words clearly. Very Punk
Its quite the disservice but every song just sounds like "you've got a friend in me"
Not a cheery album...
I really disliked Oasis back at their height - they just exuded arrogance and aggressive behaviour that jarred with me. Now - nearly 30 years after this album released and the hype has passed, I can say that this is an exceptional album of British rock music.
Bit long...
Want Half an hour of fun? 1. Find the lyrics for this album 2. Press play 3. Try to read along...
Like French Rammenstein
I made it halfway through. that's better than all the other country on this list
Well the Wiki is eye opening...
not a sing along in the car album is it.
Opens with a banger then drops of into a pile of forgettable cheesy pop nothings. a good single doth not an album make.
the interview bit is a weird thing to do
I forgot it was on at one point and went out.
Good god I hate Coldplay. this album did nothing to improve my views
I am finding the further i get into this list (no. 805 for me) my tolerance for mediocrity has diminished significantly. read into that what you will about this album.
Really do not rate U2 in general but I genuinely got bored halfway through this album
Apparently this was one of the first Digitally recorded and mixed albums and also one of the first to be issued on CD in 1982. Incredibly Both facts that are more interesting than the music of ABBA
Sounded like a beachboys album...
